They were understanding about food allergies but you do have to be careful. I think they're Sushi is really good and they had some unique roles that I have not seen in other places. In regards to the rest of the food I think that it was overpriced for the serving. Overall the food was still fresh and good but definitely not filling.

The ginger salad dressing however is definitely not for me but the salad was absolutely beautiful. I ordered the Kung Po Chicken and asked for extra spicy and it was delicious as were the freshly made avacado rolls! They also serve thai tea which no other place in Hanover does! Love this restaurant!

This is best overall sushi/ sashimi and Asian food restaurant we have been. Staff "Aaron " was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and accommodated our preferences. We had a great time.

First time going to this restaurant during my visit in Hanover PA today and our server was so nice and made sure to double check that we ordered everything we wanted. The food was nice and hot also so full of amazing flavors that I'd say it was the best Thai food I've ever had! We didn't even wait to be seated at the table because she seated us immediately and it surprised me because it was 6:00pm which is usually very busy but it was actually very peaceful. Overall I rate it a 10/10 experience for my first time there for a date night!

It's a tradition with us on Christmas Eve (as it is with so many others) to order-out for Chinese/Thai. This year we took a chance with Blue Koi. Bad mistake!!! Not only did we get half our order but when we called to be credited, they refused and told us the "manager" would call. Never happened!! So, we are out $25 for food we paid for but never received. We do not fault restaurants for errors - they happen. When they turn a blind eye to them, though (which they did in our case), it's a statement to the general public that as long as they can satisfy 85 percent of their costumer-base then the 15 percent do not matter. If you want to patronize a business with this mind-set, then definitely go here. I personally will not!!!

If we could give this restaurant a 1 million star review we absolutely would! For a family of 5 it was reasonably prices, large portions, high quality fish, and very allergy accommodating!

You will not get a better meal in Hanover, PA than right here at Blue Koi! We come here to celebrate everything. The food is amazing and the servers are courteous and knowledgeable 💙

Wonderful restaurant!! Food is delicious, service is lovely. The black pepper shrimp udon is fantastic, cooked perfectly with just enough pepper flavor. spicy tuna roll has just enough crunch. We love everything we get there.

Nice looking place, ordered dim sum and they were cold and uncooked in the middle. Didn't stay for dinner.

Our first and last time in this place, we were looking forward to try their sushi but we left very disappointed about it. Do not bother reading the menu (Sushi roll & Sushi specialties), all of them taste exactly the same. Two stars because waiters were ok.

Completely new ownership and people. Extremely slow and we tried being lenient the first time we went under the new ownership but the second time we went we were beyond disappointed to see that they removed several items. This place has gone extremely downhill and the service wasn’t the best either.

Went with a large group, so the service was slightly slower than usual. The food was great and the server got everyone’s order correct.

Atmosphere has great vibes and the interior design is clean and modern. The servers are very nice and attentive. Food is exceptional and you get your monies worth. One of the best restaurants in Hanover.

Blue koi is 🔥🔥🔥 I order here at least once a week. I always get sushi and my GF always gets sizzling chicken. It's always delicious and you can taste the quality compared to other places. When coming here my server Neli was fine, he brought us drinks in a timely manner and was attentive to our needs. However, I had ordered the Pad Thai for the lunch special. After taking a bite out of it, it was way too sweet, the taste was overwhelming. I stopped eating right away as I was planning to let my server know the problems I had with my food. However, our server did not show up until my partner was doing eating the food. Once he came to our table, my plate was full as I had not ate anything but one bite. I proceed to let the server know I did not like the food and it was too sweet, I let him know I didn’t want another meal, I simply wanted it taken off. After waiting for so long, my appetite had faded. However, my server told me since I ordered the food, he could not return it and immediately walked away, threw the food away and brought us the full bill. I feel the conversation and interaction could have been handled better, now here I am paying for food I didn’t eat and was thrown away by my server.

Sizzling steak was delicious. Had a Maki combo roll , shrimp with avocado, and cucumber roll. Really fresh tasting. Waiter very attentive and cute.

The WORST service ever. She took our order after 1 hour. I had to wave my hand and call her over to even get that done. The tables around us that came in after us were all waited on long before we were. (The male waiter took care of them). No water refills. It was a 3 hour ordeal that should have taken maybe one. Didn't bring our checks, I had to wave her down for that as well. Very frustrating experience and I will never go back. Food was mediocre at best.

I went there last night ( Friday the 23rd ) with my wife and twin sister. My sister's,wife and my Drink was flat we asked for another one and they brought us another one but they were still flat!! Everything tasted like it was from the day B4. When we got home I got sick and now I have food poisoning and now I have to call off work !! They should have to pay for the hours I missed at work !!!!! I WILL PAY YOU NEVER TO EAT THERE !!!!!!!!! If you do good luck. To sum it all up it was 🤬🤬🤬 FOUL!! And for 3 🤬 people it was $84..

My husband and I were warmly greeted by most of the staff. We had dim sum n chicken satay for appetizers. And we also ordered the spicy Thai chicken, pineapple rice, and pad Thai. Everything was sumptuous! The portions are generous. Prices are reasonable. And the plate presentation was beautiful. This will be our go to and takeout restaurant always now. Our waiter (Augus?) was speedy, friendly and attentive. If I could have given this restaurant more than five stars, I would. The only thing I would change to kick it up would be that I could not have a drink. It's BYOB

I was here on 5/9 with my husband and a few friends. The food was really good as per usual but the service was absolutely terrible. We sat for what felt like an unacceptable amount of time before our waitress came to our table. Our waitress was slow, didn’t offer to refill drinks. She didn’t even act like she knew the menu. Didn’t even come to our table to check in to see if we needed anything. Our friend finished his his drink and before his meal came out and ate his meal without anything to drink. Just over all not very attentive. Then after a 2 hour visit that should have been maybe an hour she brings out one check. Never asked if we wanted to split it which we did. We asked her to split our check 3 ways she acted like it was a huge inconvenience. I really hope this isn’t a sign of the direction this place is heading because my friends and I do really like this place. I just wanted someone there to be aware the service on 5/9 was not ok. Food is still very good. Just please don’t let your service decline. I hope next time I come in it is better.

Visited this restaurant for a quick lunch. The environment is clean, modern, and the staff was very pleasant. They definitely pay attention to detail. The food was plated nicely. I ordered shrimp fried rice, California Rolls, and Terriyaki Chicken Lunch Special. Everything tasted fresh and amazing. I would definitely visit again.

Loved the Tom Yum soup! Wasn’t a fan of the Sushi. Good table service. Also this is a BYOB restaurant didn’t realize this until it was too late.

We’ve been here before and really enjoyed it. After last night we probably won’t go back. For some reason our table seemed to have been forgotten by our server. It took almost a half hour after we seated until he finally brought us glasses for our wine. Then another 15 til we could order. Meanwhile, tables seated well after ours were already receiving food. Our food was a mix of good and not so good. I ordered 2 sushi rolls that I have enjoyed there in the past, but last night they did not compare. They looked unappetizing, were small, and had things in them I don’t remember getting before. It was weird. For the price, they did not measure up. When we were finally ready to go more than 2 hours after we were seated because the service was so slow, we asked our server what happened that our service was so slow. We pointed out that other tables were seated well after us and were served and left well before us. He got very defensive and said they had different servers—well, the table next to us had the same server as us and were served much quicker—he didn’t appreciate us saying that. When he finally brought the check to sign, he had charged us a 15% gratuity—on our table of 2– because he didn’t think we would leave a tip! We were able to get that reversed by someone else, but our server continiued to be very rude to us. It was so strange. Oh, and they flat out charge a fee to use a credit card—so tacky. It’s the cost of doing business—build it into your prices but don’t add a flat fee. Check your bill before you pay to avoid any surprises.

Clean restaurant with friendly and quick service. We got the Dumplings, Crab Wontons, Roast Duck Curry, Thai Basil Fried Rice, Lobster ChaCha Sushi. Everything was very good.

While I still think Blue Koi has great tasting food, my favorite dish (Thai Basil Fried Rice) has significantly less meat in it than it used to including almost no scallops and much smaller shrimp than before. I personally would prefer a higher price to keep the meat instead of the same price with very little meat. So, I have lowered my rating to 4/5 stars.

This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants anywhere. While I have to say my favorite sushi goes to a different Asian restaurant in town, Blue Koi has the absolute best fried rice I’ve ever had (and the sushi is still quite good too). The Thai Basil Fried Rice is amazing! The flavor is so good with some heat but not too much and lots of chicken, beef, shrimp, and scallops. Highly recommend Blue Koi!

The dining area is beautiful and a really elegant look. Food was of the highest quality and flavors were plentiful. So happy to have found this gem.

The goyza and summer rolls were amazing in their own right, but the Bombastic roll was heads and tails above every other sushi I've had. It was incredibly fresh and layered many delicious flavors. Highly recommended! Atmosphere was elegant and clean, the staff was knowledgable and friendly. Get there early!

Pad Thai had pretty good flavor, just needed more sauce, was on the dry side. I asked for shrimp and was given chicken (I ordered takeout over the phone). Dim sum had very good flavor. The lettuce in my salad was unfortunately very brown, like on the verge of rotting. I’m so surprised someone thought this was acceptable. There’s definitely a chance I’ll return but there is room for improvement in flavor/freshness of food.

2020....food was great and so was the service.

Last night (2023), was completely different. Possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. The server was rude and made it very obvious that he did not want to wait on us. The food was ok but had all kinds of ingredients not listed in the menu. Every thing we ordered came smothered in onions. Pad Thai, drunken noodles, and a mango chicken dish. My drunken noodles was uneatable.

I will absolutely never go back.

They have the best fried rice I've had at any restaurant in Hanover, Pa, and it is hard to find good fried rice here. The crab rangoon is hit or miss, sometimes it's great, sometimes it isn't that awesome, hard to predict. The only other dish I've had is the spicy garlic stir fry, that is absolutely delicious with white rice.

Two of us split the Koi Sushi for two. It was amazing all around. Will be back!!

First and foremost do not get the noodle soup here because it’s as flavorless as it gets. Like, I would have preferred to get 50 cent ramen from the gas station. The other noodle dishes had amazing flavor, I’ll give them that. But the portion sizes were way too small for the price. And to top it all off, they charge an extra fee to your card if you don’t pay cash???? At least our waitress was nice.

Hands down one of the best places to eat in town.

My meal was not even close to the way the menu described it. When I told the waiter it was a bad first experience, he apologized but the right thing would have been to have my meal taken off the bill or offer a complimentary dessert or something as an acknowledgement of a bad meal and an unhappy diner. Needless to say, we will never go back.
