Finally tried this place and was not disappointed. We got the Pandang curry with shrimp, curry puffs, and bikini shrimp. The curry was great. We got the mild spicy which was perfect amount of spice that complimented the dish. Lemongrass and Thai basil really comes though in this too. The curry puffs were savory and sweet, filled with perfectly cooked potatoes and spices. And the bikini shrimp were hot crispy and nicely fried golden brown. One thing I would say is to get extra rice with the curry to soak up all of that beautiful sauce. Will definitely be on my radar for great thai food

It is all made from scratch and to your desired temperature, regarding spice.
The actual restaurant is...quaint. it's small and clean. I don't think it would hold more than 30 ppl. The bathroom is a single and the door didn't lock for me. I just peed and prayed. Lol.
Service was OK. Considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, the server seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. Food came out quickly tho.

Viman Thai is one of the few restaurants my family and I consistently visit whenever we’re in the area. We’ve been eating here for many years now and have never been disappointed! They have plenty of options on their menu that appeal to both the vegetarians and meat-eaters in our family. They changed their menu recently and it includes even more delicious options! I highly recommend giving it a try because you will not be disappointed.

Excellent service! The servers are very friendly and accommodating. You can have anything on the menu prepared the way you like with a added twist or minus something. They food is very, very good. Everything is Fresh and made to order. Byob. They have wine glasses and can put your bottle on ice. They will even open your bottle for you. Very clean. Relaxing music playing and relaxing atmosphere.

Drunken noodles were so amazing

This was my first time trying Thai food 🍲 and I am thankful it was at this restaurant. The quality of the food was 100%. Everything was made to perfection. Satisfied my craving 🙌🏽

I love this place. The food is always consistent and absolutely delicious. I have never had an issue with an order and I order from here roundabout once a week. Portions are great too, I’m usually fed for like 2-3 days.

If you have been curious about tofu, try the tofu pad Thai. I’ve definitely come across tofu that has had a weird texture if it’s not cooked properly, but Vilma does it perfect every time.

If you’re curious about the Thai iced tea - try it out it’s so good. Similar to how chai teas are spiced, but it’s got a nice sweet creamy flavor. I love it!

If you’ve been curious about curry, the red curry is awesome. I’ve had it with chicken and tofu and they are both great.

But I’ll be real, i haven’t tried something from this restaurant that I didn’t love so take that what you will lol.

Price is very reasonable, hours are great, overall great restaurant. Thanks for being awesome!

Got takeout and everything was absolutely delicious! We got red curry, pineapple fried rice and pad thai and everyone loved their dinner! My parents aren’t crazy about spicy food so I got theirs with “no spice” and it was perfect for them and still very flavorful! Staff were pleasant and friendly while picking up! They even called me after I placed my order to see what protein option I wanted in my curry because I forgot to check the box! Awesome! Will be back! :)

This is our go to spot for Thai. I usually get the pork green curry which is ALWAYS delicious. Word of caution though, they’re spice levels are no joke— I usually go for medium at other places, but find mild does the trick here. Though, the quality of food never disappoints

I guess because there are so many sub par Thai and Asian fusion restaurants around, this restaurant stands out for locals. We found it to be decent but not outstanding. Their fried basil chicken, which is suppose to be a specialty, was just ok. The chicken was too thin, stringy on some pieces, and the coating was honey sweet and not much other flavor to it. I have never fried basil leaves but they don't have any flavor, this dish would have been much better with some fresh basil. The curry dish was again, over sweet, without the wonderful complexity of flavors found in better Thai restaurants. It was also disappointing that there are no vegetables, aside from bell peppers, with the chicken curries. The sticky rice was perfectly cooked and very good. The Tom Yum soup was fine as well, but there again, lacking the nuance of flavor found in great Thai restaurants. I saw many orders of pad Thai at nearby tables, maybe the noodle dishes are the way to go? This place wasn't bad, but not great.

Viman on the weekends. Every entree we’ve had has been delicious. The curry is outstanding as is the fried rice as well as the pad broccoli!

A decent Asian place, nice selections on the menu. The calamari however is awful, nobody try it. The curry was way too spicy for me however if it wasn’t, I bet it’d be good because I could see it’d be smooth with the coconut milk base. They give you great portion sizes, definitely not stingy at all with anything!

The Crispy Chicken Basil is my favorite dish. Chicken is tender while lightly fried with sweet basil. Batter shipped green beans are delicious. Everything was spiced just right. Spicy but not too spicy. You may ask for extra. Service is exceptional. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend Viman Thai restaurant.

I usually get take out after work. I love the wings. They are excellent. I think I've had all the curries and they are great. Sometimes I'll just order a number of appetizers since they will be easier to transport to work. I love their food.

Best Thai food around!

Very good Thai cuisine. I've had several dishes here. Pad See Ew is my favorite. I appreciate Viman being a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer, for those outside of Pennsylvania) as well.

I got here pretty close to closing but i was able to seat myself. The seating was spread out nicely. Most of the meal options can be vegan or vegetarian. I had the papaya salad, super tangy and sour with peanuts and the tofu rice noodle bowl with veggie broth. And I had the jasmine tea. Nice place, seemed like mostly takeout though.

Consistently good, authentic Thai food. Papaya salad and green curry are the go-tos. Spice levels can be adjusted for most dishes, but c'mon - if you're not sweating are you really eating Thai?

Our go-to place for Thai in Delco. The salmon special is excellent and I love their sticky rice.

Singapore noodles have an amazing flavor profile 5/5 stars! However, skip the veg spring rolls. They were kinda limp and lacking in the flavortown department.

The food is so good. Even better than some places I’ve had in philly. I had the papaya salad, chicken with egg plant, mango sticky rice and pa see ew. All were authentic and delicious.

I have been going here since 2020. I stopped going once the owners changed in the beginning of 2022 and the food started to not taste as great as before (esp Pad Thai). Also, the prices increased after the new owners came in and it wasn't worth it.
Viman should do better like it used to.

Finally did it and came here to try Thai food. Although it took a minute to be seated with the phone ringing and door dash orders being facilitated by the waiter... Once seated he helped me figure out my first Thai experience and it was awesome!!!! The food was flavorful and fresh and the shrimp was awesome. It came out in no time and after enjoying the meal and just taking time to think... I know I'll be back to try something else from the menu

It was a nice experience to have some authentic Thai food that is not loaded with sugar , for the American pallet , I lived in Thailand for one year

Great food and friendly owners/staff. I told em that I was having toothache so no peanuts in my pad thai. They went above and beyond and chopped the veggies small so it's easier to chew. That shows they care about customers. Will definitely go again.

This area has very few good restaurants, so I was really happy to find Viman. I have traveled in Thailand, and eaten at the best Thai places in Elmhurst and Manhattan. Viman is right up there in terms of the flavor, freshness, and authenticity. I am slowly working my way through the whole menu, but so far, I have been most impressed by the Crispy Duck with Basil, which had large chunks of deep fried duck meat with whole fried basil leaves. I have never had that dish before, and it was memorable. The wonton soup is delicate with many subtle flavorings, seafood salad was spicy and tangy. I look forward to going back many more times!

Was 5 stars before they changed their menu, is good but it was better , my favorite pad Thai is gone, it was sort of dry and mushy at the same time lthey must’ve changed cooks with the menu cus nothing taste the same, everything was just ok.

We were recommended to this place and it is now our go to Thai food restaurant in the area; the portion sizes are generous, ingredients, and the food is authentic and flavorful.

I started going here in 2016 and fell in love with the
Pad Gra Prow unfortunately the new owners don't make it the same and the portion is smaller with far more veggies and less beef and the flavor are still good but not the same as the last owner. I tried the Beef in garlic sauce and it was very salty and the beef was undercooked I did not enjoy it at all.

Pad Thai was okay, a bit sweet for me. The waiter was friendly. I give it 3 stars because I found a piece of hair on the plate.

The flavor, presentation, and service was nice. The only down fall was that a worm was found on our broccoli ( pic included). We researched and realized it was a broccoli worm and harmless but the thought of having ate worms during our meal ruined our appetite. We communicated with the server and the matter was handled respectfully and quickly which is a huge step.

Our go-to Thai place. We like to try new dishes but no matter what we always get the Papaya salad. We do wish there was an option for the poached shrimp like they used to do, because they were always so juicy & perfectly cooked. The grilled shrimp is okay, just wish they had the option! Would seriously pay more for it, it was that good :)

Hadn’t eaten here for a few months. Our last takeout was just alright. Was in the area today and decided to give it another shot. Let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC! So good that I called and let them know. Turns out that they actually changed hands a few months back, and the new chef is from Thailand and very experienced. Can’t wait to go back.

But since the new owner bought it recently, WOW, the quality and flavor have improved dramatically, and now we absolutely LOVE it. If you live in the area, you really owe it to yourself to try this restaurant. If you’ve tried it before, go back! Things have changed, and you will no doubt be very pleased if you love lots of flavor in your Thai food. Compliments to the new owner and the chef. Well done! Viman is a great local Thai restaurant. Their food is very yummy and abundant for the price. The waiter has never got our order wrong, as always been just the right amount of attentive, and is very friendly. We have gotten the same gentleman every time we have gone. He always asks how the food is and answers any questions we may have about the food. The food comes out quickly (but not too quickly!) and is nice and hot. We enjoy it and have gone back several times, and will continue to do so.

I've never had a bad meal here. Though we mostly do takeout. Friendly staff and good food. The King Pri Duck (sp) is fantastic!

Not the first time here. Super good food but the last time they refused to put the Chile spice in the Pad Thai (which I always get) but they reassured they would put it on the side. When I got home guess what was NOT on the side. Pad Thai with no spice is not Thai, just saying 🤷🏻‍♀️ At the very least they need to work on consistency.

Stopped for a late lunch, and will definatley be going back! Dining area was very clean, and service was attentive without being disruptive. Food was top notch. The drunken noodles were perfectly seasoned with just enough heat. The chicken satay was nothing like your average chinese takeout- large pieces of juicy tender meat cooked with lots of seasonings and served with a delicious peanut sauce. The thai pho was the least impressive, but still delicious. The broth wasn't as flavorful as you'd get at place specializing in pho, but the portion size was very generous and the accoutrements like basil and bean sprouts were fresh and crisp. I also like that all of the entree and noodle dishes can be made with any protein you choose. Will definatley go back to try some more of their offerings.

Great flavors! The beef salad had a wonderfully tangy and spicy dressing, the steamed dumplings were amazing, and the crispy bean entree was no less compelling.
