Laid-back mainstay with a warm ambiance presenting upmarket Thai specialties in cozy environs.
We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. While the food was decent, the staff's behavior ruined the evening. As we were still sitting and eating, they started sweeping the floors around us. (And it was an hour prior to their close time)
It felt very rude and unprofessional, as if they were rushing us to leave. This created an uncomfortable and unhygienic atmosphere, especially for me or to someone allergic to dust!
TL;DR: Everything about this place is amazing. Wish I could give 6 stars.

I never write reviews, but everything here is so amazing that I feel like I need to share my experience...
My overnight summer camp is somewhat of a long drive from where I live, so we always stop at HersheyPark on the way. Four years ago, I found this restaurant on the way to the hotel for the night before camp, and after a long day, I was unsure about this restaurant. I'm a picky vegetarian, so I'm never sure how a new restaurant will be. Anyways, the food was amazing, and so we have made it a goal to return each summer as part of our journey. Each year, we try to leave Hershey at an early enough time to make it to the restaurant well before they close, yet we always cut it incredibly close to when they close.
This year, we knew we wouldn't make it to the restaurant before the kitchen closed at 9:30, so we called ahead, to place a takeout order to be ready at 9:30, with an ETA of 9:29. We arrived, and like in the past, they were gracious in allowing us to eat in the restaurant, even as they started to clean up. The food was ready at 9:30, and they even transferred it all onto plates so we wouldn't have to eat from the container; without us asking. Everything was made perfectly, and they even made the Pad Pak (mixed vegetable stirfry) with no vegetables other tjan bell pepper, exactly as I ordered. Even when my brother spilled an entire glass of water, again which they kindly provided, the staff were gracious and lovely.
And did I mention how delicious the food was? Absolutely perfect last healthy, normal meal before a month of camp food, and I wish I could give a six star review. My only complaint is that the restaurant is so far from my house, and that I can only eat here one time a year.
Outstanding for Thai food in area, definitely one of the best. It's BYOB. The Papaya Salad is a must. If you are looking for a night out or take out this is definitely the place to go, I drive out of my way to go here because I do not believe the other Thia restaurants in area can compare
One of the best Thai restaurants around. Food is always really good. It is BYOB but the liquor store is right next to it if you would like a bottle of wine with dinner. Service is great they will help you out with ordering or right there to refill your water. Must try if you have never been here.
My favorite Thai restaurant! Super friendly staff and love the space. Not to mention, the food is delicious. You won't be disappointed with the taste in every bite. I love spicy food and when I ask for spicy, they don't disappoint. I've pretty much brought everyone here and everyone comes out with a full happy belly.
My go to is the papaya salad, tofu appetizer and the the drunken noodle!
Absolute favorite place to eat! The only place that truly scratches that spicy food itch! Everyone that works here is so professional, kind and welcoming! My order is never late or lacking in quality which is why for years now I normally stop by at least once a week to get my flavorful SPICY ground chicken basil stir fry 😁. I cannot recommend this place enough! 10/10
This was one of the worst dining experiences for Thai food I ever had. Ordered an expensive dish that was supposed to have scallops and when I picked it up, it only had minimal vegetables and instead of scallops I am not sure what they put in there. I did call them and went back and they added a few vegetables, but it wasn’t until I got it home and someone started to eat it we realized they weren’t scallops some kind of sausage I think. I gave up at that point and will never go back. Please see the picture… don’t ever go to this place. Overpriced absolutely terrible Thai food!!
We are addicted ! We love the salmon dishes and the Pad Thai. And the staff is amazing 😁
Amazing food!
Great food and service. Don't miss this one.
I loved eating here. They have very authentic Thai food that I would eat everyday. I would come back again.
Questionable practices... I picked up take-out late and though the staff seemed friendly enough, when I got home to eat the food it looked like they just watered down whatever was left at the end of their massaman curry instead of making a new order. The tall soup container it was in was only filled 3/4 of the way and it was super watery and tasteless, and only had chicken, onions, and ONE piece of potato. No carrots, which was in every other massaman curry I've ever had in other places. At that point just say it's not available instead of serving what's left to soak for wash. The drunken noodle was super dry but definitely more edible than the curry. Ick.
We have never had Thai food before and went tonight to check out Thai Avenue. The service was great, the food came out really fast and it was excellent! We will definitely be going back!
Consistently great food. Extremely nice employees

best thai food I've had!
Good Thai food but not the best I've had. Chicken Larb was served with romaine lettuce instead of cabbage, which was a little disappointing. Also on the expensive side for lunch.
Absolutely the best Thai cuisine in the Lehigh valley! Terrific wait staff. Fair prices.
Dried out chicken and vegetables not cooked. Very small portion. Never again.
Wonderful thai. And service.Micky was the best.
Great service and food.
The food was excellent 👌! We had ordered 3 apps. The chicken wings, calamari, and the dumplings. All were great. I also had garlic noodles with shrimp in the medium heat. Highly recommend!
Very nice ambiance. Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely delicious food. I had stopped in for light meal and thoroughly enjoyed the Tom Yum and calamari .
Absolute favorite place to eat! The only place that truly scratches that spicy food itch! Everyone that works here is so professional, kind and welcoming! One of our favorite Thai places. Haven't had anything that wasn't great.
Got the pad thai seafood, it was very dry not enough bean sprouts or sauce very little flavor. Not authentic they used lemon instead of lime. Price is not that good for amount served
If you haven't tried this little gem you need to as soon as possible. Their spring rolls were the best I have had. The drunken noodles are delicious with just the right balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. The vegetables in the dish were cooked perfectly. Just happened to find them on a business trip. I will be back many times.
Very clean inside. Service is excellent. Food is fresh and clean. Support it people. Otherwise you gonna have corporate food chains everywhere
Staff is fantastic. Friendly, professional, attentive.
The atmosphere is really nice and clean
Food is good
And surprisingly good prices especially at lunch
Worst sticky rice with mango ever. Please do not waste your money.
Need to realize when you get slammed with orders you need to turn off online ordering and get caught up on tickets so the people waiting don't suffer. Badly managed
Great Thai place in Allentown PA. We love it here and have been many times. The servers are awesome... so friendly and fun! The place has a nice, dark, minimalist decor. The food is sooooo good. They do a great pad thai, their massaman curry is delicious! I crave it. It's not a thick curry sauce, it's a bit thinner, but the flavors are so rich and complex and deep. Also love their calamari and their drunken noodles. It's BYOB so pick up your favorite wine to pair with your meal. LOVE this place.
The food was great and so was the staff, the best part is the Thai tea, I would recommend this to anyone craving for some Thai food
TL;DR: Everything about this place is amazing. Wish I could give 6 stars.

Got pad see ew, and red curry duck. Food was great tasting and exceptional portions. Service was phenomenal. Vibes were chill as heel.
I have been here several times over the years and it is consistently good. The staff is friendly and it certainly has a nicer atmosphere than most places. I highly recommend.
Best drunken noodles in the area. And we've tried them all.
Unexpectedly good experience all around.
My Thai wife and I were in the area and hungry.
We left there happy and full, with leftovers for later and our wallet intact !!
Great food at all levels of heat.
I wish I had a photo to capture how much I love this restaurants food, but I always forget because I dig right in! Every time, quality is 10/10. I generally use take-out and they are more than accommodating to special requests, like making sure the dish is fully vegan. Every employee is so kind and excels at customer service. The dinner portions are plentiful, always enough for two servings. This is my favorite authentic Thai go-to place in Allentown! Highly recommend vegan drunken noodles and honestly anything they make, you will love.
Delicious food & great service!
Cozy, comfortable, and clean. Polite friendly staff.
10/10 best Thai food in the Valley
Great Place for Thai Food.
This restaurant not only is it delicious but also very authentic. I am plant based and having the option to make meals vegan is a huge plus for me. Each time I have come here, the service is consistent. They are a small restaurant so it can get packed quickly.
Outstanding for Thai food in area, definitely one of the best. It's BYOB. The Papaya Salad is a must. If you are looking for a night out or take out this is definitely the place to go, I drive out of my way to go here because I do not believe the other Thia restaurants in area can compare
Excellent food and great, friendly service.
Exceptional service. Great ambience. Food was satisfying. Its become our spot for comfort food. Thai tea feels a little too diluted. The drunken noodles were delicious however we got the veggie version and there were so few veggies. The Tom Yum soup broth was really nice and tasty but the veggies felt bland like they were added to the broth after and not cooked in it. Overall still like the food and would go again.
I just love this place . With a group or just a couple. This place doesn’t disappoint. Always so fresh and delicious. I love the drunken noodles and salmon basil. They never disappoint with the spice level either. Even when you order pick up it’s amazing. I have craved it my whole pregnancy we live less than 5 minutes so I just bat my eye and my husband goes and gets it. Don’t forget the Thai iced tea yummmmmy. Sending hubby now for some hahaha. I don’t have many pictures because I always dig right in however I will add one I did actually get. Oh yes and the spring rolls are small but mighty.
Fantastic! Our favorite place to stop when near the Lehigh Valley. It's worth going ouy of your way to check out this place.
Sub-par. I ordered Pad See Ew. It is usually pretty standard at most Thai places and tastes similar. This was different. It wasn't bad and won't give me food poisoning, but it wasn't good either. Just fine.
Fantastic Thai food! Super fresh and very fast service. Bring a bottle. Highly recommend!
Great Thai Restaurant... Perfect dishes, prepared to perfection... Nice Ambiance... 👍A+++
One of the best Thai restaurants around. Food is always really good. It is BYOB but the liquor store is right next to it if you would like a bottle of wine with dinner. Service is great they will help you out with ordering or right there to refill your water. Must try if you have never been here.
Food was really good and i was amazed by their humble behavior.
Great food for lunch. Server was friendly and helpful. Great curry dishes.
Ah, a tale of two Thai experiences across Tilghman, similarly great, yet unique in their own ways.
Either way, Pad See Ew is a great choice, well done in flavorful sauce and same price.
Going to dessert, the Avenue runs a hard deal, much smaller sticky rice and mango than the Origin.
But how to really decide? The ambiance... The Avenue embraces a lively scene with conversations abound, wines uncorked. Origin offers the quiet, hometown feel of a kind owner handing you her pride and joy.
Either side of Tilghman, a great Thai culinary experience!
Really great flavor hot and fresh
Enjoyed the savory curry duck; friendly, attentive service!
Very friendly staff, delicious food and huge portions. My favorites are the Red Curry and Green Curry, as well as the Pad Thai!
Came here yesterday with my son to grab lunch and both the food and service were exceptional. Food came out timely and hot. Waitstaff was excellent as well. We both got different variations of drunken noodles and they were both delicious. Thanks for the great experience.
Tonight was my first time here…Food was delicious and the menu included lots of vegetarian options. Staff was very attentive.
Very good food, wait staff was very nice.
Ever disappoints. Always great!
The food was very good. Wings were cooked well with Thai hot sauce. The noodle dish I had was good. Service was friendly.
If you are looking for a classy, upscale place to dine, Thai Avenue is it! They have weird hours because I think it is family owned and operated but their food is absolutely spectacular. Their presentation and serving is very posh, their staff are always dressed to the nines and professional. The fried rice and drunken noodles are favorites! They also have fun desserts such as fried ice cream and cheesecake. I would definitely recommend going to the restaurant, rather than getting takeout. Some of the charm is lost in the takeout containers. The staff, serving, and presentation are a big part of the experience. Definitely worth going, again and again!! My husband and I have frequented for lunch dates & we have taken the whole family for dinner.
Had the best wings and sticky rice.
Food: Good
Service: Good
Prices: Good
Not sure if you can tell from the above, but I like this place. :-)
First time there very good
Great curry!
Always the awesome food with friendly staff!
I love it here!
Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service.
The food is so good you feel it in your soul!
Wow.. Amazing tasting food. I had this food over a week ago and I still crave some more duck. A must try for sure.
We love this place. The staff is wonderful and helpful. The calamari was phenomenal (the dipping sauce is fire). The Tom Yum soup was full of shrimp and mushrooms. We ordered the salmon chuchee, it was in a flavorful pink (red curry) sauce with stir fried vegetables. Delicious Thai cuisine.
Best Thai food in Allentown-Bethlehem Area.
Best Thai in Lehigh valley
The coconut rice is really delicious! And if you've never had Thai tea you should definitly give it a try! It's a little sweeter than necessary here but still delicious. There is a small dining area that is very nice and serene. Great option for dine in or take out.
This wonderful restaurant is truly a gem in Allentown! Their food is wonderful the service is always top-notch, and the people there are always smiling and happy to see you.
They have never gotten anything incorrect about my order even with taking out large orders. They are clearly professionals and passionate about what they do would highly recommend them for lunch or dinner. Their Thai iced coffee is also the best!
We love eating at Thai Avenue when visiting our daughter at Muhlenberg. The food is fresh and delicious and the portions are huge. Servers are pleasant and attentive. I just wish it were closer to our home!
Prices going up, quality and portion size going going down. It's more worthwhile to cook your own food at home.
Food was awesome. Sevice was excellent
Couldn't ask for more delicious food and excellent service. This was our first visit there and and it, certainly, won't be our last. This going to become one our our favs!
Beautiful people. Their service is exceptional. And the food is on point
We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here. I stopped by earlier in the day to drop off my cake and they brought it out for desert with candles!
If you are looking for quality Thai food in the Lehigh Valley, come here!
Wanted some Pad Thai before surgery on Monday, so I ordered online on their website before I left Philly and headed towards home. Ordered was placed for a 1245pm Pickup, and I arrived early at 12:35. Walked in and there was a couple seated at one table, that was it. The kid behind the registered talked to me and I told him I had placed an order online for pickup at 1245, and I was a little early. It wasn't ready, which I expected. The kid never again did check on the order, and at some point around 1250 I noticed a to-go order sitting behind the register, but since the kid, the adult server, and a cook had all walked BY the order, I assumed it wasn't mine. At around 1pm, after being told I could sit down and wait several times, I asked the adult server how much longer, because it should've been done 15 minutes ago. To that, he checked the order and it was MINE!!!!! I see the reviews for good service. That must only be for dine-in! I have been VERY forgiving in this time of COVID with how slow places are, the lack of service due to lack of help, items not available due to shortages. But this place was just totally ridiculous today. And to think, I tipped 20% when I placed the order!! Never again will I order from this place online, and pre-tip. Only pay after THEY provide the service. I got home and actually enjoyed the cold pad thai. Shame the service is lacking well behind the quality of the food.
Everything my wife and I ordered was very good! Staff was very friendly.
The food is always perfect!
Loved the food. Our server, Mickey on Thursday was great and attentive to our many requests. Can't wait to go back.
I came to take my car for service and decided to give this place a try because it’s nearby. Food was flavorful, service was friendly and wonderful! We’ll be coming back if we’ll be in the neighborhood again.
Best Thai food in ABE area (Lehigh Valley) but not WhiteOrchids in Promenade as they claim !
Food, Service, Prices, Quantity of food and Ambiance is pretty good than any other Thai places in ABE not a Full bar but BYOB. They have a liquor store next door.
Must try ! I miss this food when I am at my hometown in NJ.
I just wish I could take them back to New Jersey with me !!!
Lots of stuff competition on my Thai list, especially the one across the street.
This place holds it's own. The staff is friendly, remembers prior likes, orders and is happy to see you return.
The food is good, flavors and portions excellent. Certain things like the pad Thai and drunken noodles stand out but their brown sauce and Thai curries can't compare to the neighbors across the street.
Great place for lunch, find a dish you like and stick with it.
Very good authentic food , nice service and best of all byob.
The best tom yum soup I’ve had! Pad thai, drunken noodle are also good. Is my favorite thai food in bethlehem/allentown area (yes, I have tried them all.)
Good place….
Good food. Great staff. My second time in this place and it would not be the last!
Great Thai food in the LHV, their Holy Basil duck is crispy and flavorful, lots of good options
Some of the best Thai in the area.
Really good Drunken Noodles.
Very nice authentic Thai restaurant in the town. The green curry with coconut milk was really good
Man I must have caught them on a bad day because my experience was nothing like the reviews I read! I was literally the only customer at the time I walked in and knew what I wanted. Upon ordering I asked the waiter to please make sure my dish had no carrots, cabbage or baby corn. Well, when it came out it had a massive amount of carrots which I had to pick out. In addition, I had to pick out the mushrooms which I usually love in general but these had gone bad and they put them on my plate anyway! While eating what was left an Asian family came in and ordered, prior to their food coming out THEY were offered chopsticks meanwhile I wasn’t extended that courtesy. I didn’t feel as welcomed as the Asian family that was there, so with that and the food being very mediocre I won’t be back!
Thai Avenue is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious, the prices are extremely fair, and everyone is super friendly! Definitely recommend dining here or ordering takeout!
everyone here is literally always so nice, i’ve never had bad service & they are always so happy. the food is always bomb and consistent. i never even really leave reviews but this is probably one of my favorite restaurants i love everything about it!! what amazing owners (:
My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times now over the last two years.
We have enjoyed every appetizer, meal and dessert..if we make it that far....
Excellent food excellent service totally recommend this place
I wish I could add this comment somewhere else but here goes....to Arthur Gardner....one star...but you did say the food was good/delicious?
A month ago really. When everyone wanted to get out of their house,go out to eat,but oh!! Wait!!! Waitresses waiters bus people dish people did not want to come back to work so you blame the people that actually came back to work you should hang your head very very low
Thai avenue restaurant is delicious. Went two years ago while doing a long drive after finding them on google. Knowing I would drive the same route, I looked and looked to find this specific restaurant so I could make a special stop. Food was as delicious as I remembered, and they got my order right which is always nice as a picky vegetarian. Super clean, good service, so glad I went back. Highly recommend Tofu Tod and Krateim Prik.
Will not lie. The food is delicious. My issue is with the lack of professionalism. First they got my drink order wrong then while I'm eating they were staring from across the room which made it creepy. Then when it came time to pay i wasn't going to leave a tip because only on the third attempt did they get my drink order right and the watch us from across the room. The worker came right up to my table as I was about to leave and demanded a tip.
I go to many restaurants and leave very nice tips regularly because they are professional, get my order right and make it a friendly and fun experience and I visit the same restaurants multiple times. Unfortunately this restaurant will not be one of them.
Delicious Thai typical dishes, nice atmosphere and friendly service.
The BEST drunken noodle, with the friendliest staff.
Never disappointed! The food is soooooo delicious and the service is excellent! They also allow you to byob.
Always good food. And welcoming staff.
Love their food, everything that I have had has been amazing. The place is also clean and inviting
The pineapple fried rice and Thai tea were amazing!
Hit or miss. Sometimes amazing drunken noodles, and sometimes very overcooked. Lately it's been the latter, so hoping I've just had bad luck.
Great food
A great Thai place in Allentown with great food and nice atmosphere, highly recommended.
Good food and taste
Great food and awesome staff.
Great food. Everything we ordered was delicious!!!
Food was horible had the beef fried rice I believed it was rushed some of the rice was still white and I could still taste the raw oil beef unseasoned and tasteless poor quality I threw it in the trash after one bite
One of the best asian resto out there! You guys saved my cravings! More power!😋👏🏽
Best basil fried rice.
Our favorite Thai place in the Lehigh Valley! We took a break from getting take-out during the pandemic and this was one of the first meals we got when we resumed take-out. Love it! The drunken noodles and coconut rice is our family's favorite. They let you customize the spice of nearly dish as well.
Honey Duck is to die for!
Excellent food, really nice people 👍👍
I have eaten in the restaurant before the shutdown and have ordered curbside pickup since the shutdown. The food is very fresh and tastes great. My favorite is the chicken satay!
You can call in your order and pay by credit card on the phone. Just drive up and they bring it out to your car.
I've been to most of the local thai spots and Thai Avenue is hands down the best. Cute dinner date venue to BYOB. Their Beef basil Kraprow stir fry is to-die-for. A tad pricey but large portions and high quality ingredients make it well worth it in my opinion.
amazing service!!!
Thai Avenue Restaurant was amazing! The food was so good! The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The food came out so fast and the service was excellent. Everyone was so attentive. There were many vegan and vegetarian options my family and I ate entirely vegan! Everything was clean and pristine. I would recommend it 100% and will make
a point to go back.
like the drunken noodles
Food is great!!
Yummy
efficient! Pad thai was amazing.
