Vegan & gluten-free dishes are available at this cozy Thai eatery with wooden tables & a warm vibe.
Had a great visit to Thai Noon. The inside looked a little different than my last visit, but the food remains the same: very good! We had the Tom Kha soup, Pad Thai, Crab Wontons, and Gai Satay. All of the food was delicious.
The service was great as well. We weren’t rushed and our glasses were kept full without them being intrusive.
When they brought the check, they brought to go containers, without us asking.
I would visit again.
Great service with great food!!!
Thai food is everywhere, but this place actually jumped to my favorite spot in the portland metro.
Salad rolls were salad rolls. They didn't have the mint, which i personality do not like. Persona preference item, but it matters.
The spinach wraps had every ingredient in small chunks, and they even had little toasted shrimps. My only complaint is they use spinach, which is just a smaller leaf than lettuce. But it's not so small it's hard to eat. I'm just fat and want more per bite. But the flavor of everything was so great.
The noodles in the drunken noodles were fresh, and the flavor was great! I loved it.
The pineapple curry was one of the best I have ever had. They didn't short any of the vegetables. This item is not able to be made vegan.
They have a ton of items that can be made vegan upon request. Some items, such as 4 of the 5 curry options, have fish sauce so vegans have 1 option in the curry menu. But all the noodles, rices, and other categories are vegan by request.
This place I will be going too anytime I'm near the northeast side of town.
Delicious food and good vegetarian options too. Me and my friend enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely recommend it.
Their sweet sticky rice with mango is the best that I ever had compared with any Thai restaurants that I have been to and also staff were friendly and helpful.
Great atmosphere and food but the server was an ahole to my friend. His enthusiasm seemed to have shot up serving a particular clientele despite them treating him less friendly. But it is what it is. I encourage anyone coming here to be mindful of how the server(s) interacts with you and others. Lower your tip amount accordingly. I normally tip 20% but ended up doing 10% (would have done 0 tbh) because my friendly friend encouraged me to. The utter disrespect.
Great food, quick and friendly service!
They have a good variety of lunch specials - we really enjoyed the pad thai and the pad see ew (the noodles were soft sticky in the best way).
I appreciated that they always kept our waters refilled and were very attentive and kind overall.
We came to Thai Noon for dinner after a day of wine tasting, and it was just what we needed. Between a party of three, we got the curry pillows, mussamassan curry with tofu, yellow curry with chicken - medium spice level, and pumpkin curry with chicken. Each curry bowl came with a side of rice, which may not be enough for rice and curry lovers. All in all, these dishes were the highlights of dinner with the appetizer being just good. A few of the pillows weren't warmed all the way through, so I would not recommend getting those.
I’ve been going here for years and get the same dish for years and years. They’ve stood the test of time but over the years the consistency is fallen to very inconsistent. My last outing was last night and I got the spicy green beans to go, the prices have increased so it’s $20 but I got a half a container full of spicy green beans and hardly any sauce. It was pretty dry and disappointing. When I saw it, I immediately went back into the restaurant and said look at this There’s hardly any food in here for $20. And they said that’s how they serve it and they served it like that for a long time. Well, in my years and years going there and couple hundred times I’ve ordered that green bean dish, it’s never been like that! I’ve seen all the faces Change in the restaurant and the ownership change over the years even the flavor of the food changed, but the quantity was always the same. It’s $20 green beans doesn’t sound like it should be so skeet. In the great city full of great food, there are plenty of Thai choices to choose from. I’m just never considered going anywhere else until now. What a shame.
Tasty Pad Thai, but certainly the best Thai iced tea in town, thanks to the freshly whipped coconut milk. No lunch specials when we went meant $17 plates (vs $11), so be aware.

Thai Noon has delicious food and a wonderful team! They are so welcoming, helpful with recommendations, and make the dine in experience so pleasant. Can’t recommend them enough!
Great food! The staff is friendly and helpful. Inside is quiet and lovely. Not the most exciting place for decor but well worth a stop.
Amongst all the orher Thai places that Portland offers, we were extremely glad we picked Thai Noon. We got a Masaman curry and Pad See Ew and both were phenomenal. The service was exemplary and our server Kris was so nice. If we lived in Portland, this would be our go to place! Cheers- Happy New Year 2025, and thank you so much for the awesome food and service :)
I love the menu here and have been eating here for years. Staff are pleasant. The food is always on point 👉 Fun fact: Thai food is almost the same around the world 🌍 so when traveling abroad and in need of familiar food, try Thai..😋
Arrived when they opened, able to be seated immediately. Both food and service were great. Only street parking available.
Great service & food!

We’ve been to this spot three times in the last few months and every experience has been top notch. We have a lot of options for Thai food in Portland but this place has consistently nailed the flavors and service. We got two entrees and an appetizer and paid $40 not including tip so we think it’s a great value!
Oh my goodness, one of the best Thai experiences I've ever had! I'll be back for sure!
Great service with great food!!!

Drink cups are 'fragile' and liquid can easily leak out!
I've been coming to Thai Noon for years, but never thought about leaving a review. It's just my #1 "go to" restaurant -- If I'm hungry but don't know what I want to eat, I go to Thai Noon and just point to something. (Usually the pad thai, or fried rice w/pineapple, or one of the curries... I've never been disappointed with anything.)
Recently, Chris asked me to sample something that they are experimenting with: a new kind of fried appetizer roll, stuffed with shrimp, with a homemade mayonnaise sauce on the side. It was very tasty without being filling. (For the regular appetizer rolls, they are large enough to constitute a small meal. I have a friend who only orders the salad rolls for dinner when they accompany me.) As a small roll, it would actually serve to jump-start your appetite, without overwhelming it.
While it was good, I don't think it will replace my "go-to" appetizer: the crab-filled fried wonton!
The best Thai restaurant in the area!
Ужасный сервис, персонал очень грубый
Ate here a couple times but always the same thing lol.
Pad Thai is yummy had medium spice and was a bit to much , got mild the next and it was hardly noticeable may have to find the in between there. Spent about 40 for two adults no drinks, but enough for lunch the next day.
Crab wantons are yummy
Rice is always fresh

We love everything about this place, the food, the service and price
Food was fine. Just can't dine in if you don't leave a tip. Was told to take to go next time. Just go a few doors down to the other Thai place that won't pressure you for a tip.
Delicious food and good vegetarian options too. Me and my friend enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely recommend it.
Their sweet sticky rice with mango is the best that I ever had compared with any Thai restaurants that I have been to and also staff were friendly and helpful.
It was fantastic experience so much flavor all the time appreciated guys.we will be back soon when we will be at United state.
Best Thai food in Portland! Their specials are usually amazing. Green curry noodles are a must try
The panang curry was incredible!
Got 3 dishes to go. All of them were terrific. I especially loved the drunken noodles.
Rip off. Pad Thai does not come with peanut sauce. $3 extra! Not kidding. Added extra broccoli for additional $ and 4 pieces showed up. Ridiculous nickel and dime of customers.
Best food and service is amazing love it here .the treat you like family.
excellent food
Wonderful staff and service plus great food and a chill atmosphere
Been coming here for a long time. The service is great, and the prices are outstanding for how good the food is. To get a draft beer and a meal for under $20 is becoming a rarity, especially considering I almost always bring home leftovers. If you like friendly people and great food, come here for a meal
Absolutely delicious, I usually get the yellow curry, pineapple fried rice, or last time I tried the drunken noodles. Everything is super good!
Ordered pad ki mow it was very good and fresh. Fresh green bean in it. I appreciate that they offer black fungus(mushroom) as an add-on. Would be nice if they offered carving squid as a meat option, I didn't see that there
Very bad place full of very mean staff, do not recommend
First time for me. The house curry, excellent, partners dish good, generous portions
Great food, quick and friendly service!
They have a good variety of lunch specials - we really enjoyed the pad thai and the pad see ew (the noodles were soft sticky in the best way).
I appreciated that they always kept our waters refilled and were very attentive and kind overall.
I've eaten at Thai Noon several times now. Overall, the food is okay. The noodle dishes tend to be too dry every time I've had them. I enjoy the yellow curry, however. I wish that the menu had more clearly labeled vegetarian and vegan dishes. I'm always unsure which dishes contain fish sauce. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, and the service is good. Overall acceptable Thai food, but not the best in the area.
The food here is absolutely delicious. My regular Thai items I always order are green curry, crab wontons, and Pad Thai. I loved all of them. The wontons were really packed with filling and perfectly fried. It’s not often you find a stuffed crab wonton that satisfies! The green curry was flavor heaven with the perfect amount of mild+ spice. The Pad Thai was outstanding and had that wonderful seared wok flavor and perfect seasoning.
I feel like Thai Cabin will be my main go to for great Thai food from now on. Bravo!
So good!! I love Thai and the Thai Noon did not disappoint. Friendly staff, quick service and cool location.
Been going here for years. Great food. Love their Thai iced tea.
Love going here lived a block away for 15 years and it was a once a week thing to go here.
Fresh food! Great casual atmosphere and everyone was really nice. Loved it!
Super friendly staff. The food is absolutely amazing every time! Highly recommend & right on Alberta Street! 10/10!!!
Just discovered Thai Noon. Best Thai food in Portland. Love this place! 👌🏼
We live in the neighborhood and used to go to Mae Ploy Thai restaurant as we knew the two mothers who owned the Alberta location. When they closed, we finally tried Thai Noon and we were happily relieved. The food, service and space are super great. Staff are personable and our Lovely Ginger stir fry and Drunken Noodle dishes were yummy with just the right amount of spice (medium) and lots of fresh crunchy veggies in both dishes. Glad we tried the long standing Thai restaurant on Alberta Street.
The food was well executed. Super tasty. Service was friendly.
Delicious food. Great portions. Great price, I definitely recommend. We are actually visiting from Florida and coming here to THAI NOON was the best decision😊 COME CHECK IT OUT EVERYONE.
Excellent fresh Thai food, wonderful service
Classic Thai dishes. Liked the tamarind juice. Nice sate.
Love their curries and they always have a great menu of food. Always a go to for great Thai food. Wish I was closer to have the pineapple curry more often
Good food at a decent price
Thai Noon is one of the staples of Alberta district. Great traditional Thai food at a good price. Family and kid friendly, order in or order to go. Large roll-up doors for those nice summer days. Decent bar and local beers or get a Thai beer. The food flavors are great, and the portions are always huge, enough for lunch the next day.
Great place. Everything is good. I try
Something different almost every week. It's a 5 min walk, so convenience is a major factor. Gai Pad Gra Pow is excellent. Cashew Stir fry too. I'll go here 3x a month forever probably
I remember growing up on Killingsworth street and my family would stop here on special occasions to get the crab fried rice, it’s still great and also the Khao Soi was so delicious, highy recommend. Thanks Thai Noon! 🤤
Excelente servicio al cliente y la comida deliciosa
We are from Europe but every time we are in Portlands Alberta district this is the go to Thai Noon.
Authentic original and delicious, a great menu and fantastic staff.
You won’t be disappointed with prices that match the great food.
I love this place! I’ve come here any time I’m in Portland :)
Thai Noon has a lot of potential, but menu items aren’t individually marked as vegetarian/vegan, and the peanut sauce salad (the only vegan salad on the menu due to fish sauce) was the worst version of “cut iceberg lettuce up into huge chunks and threw bottled dressing over it” rabbit food salad imaginable. The vegetarian pad see ew was very mediocre. So if you fall into the vegetarian/vegan category, I’d recommend skipping this place.
Came here on a last-minute whim about an hour before closing. My pup and I sat outside, but the staff was still so attentive and nice. My food came out super fast and it was SO tasty. Honestly, even heating up the leftovers the next day was a tasty meal. They even brought my pup an ice water bowl without me asking!
Don't order crab fried rice from Thai Noon. Crab didn't taste fresh and they tried to tell me other patrons ate it and didn't complain. My palate is not the other patrons and it taste spoiled. Wasn't offered a new dish and at this point I didn't want another dish.
We have been to this restaurant a few times since we moved here 4 months ago from FL, and we always enjoy all of the amazing food and wonderful drinks and staff and location … and I can go on!
But I have to share the story of what happened the last time we walked by. We were getting drinks at Barcala, and we decided to walk around a little. When we walked past Thai Noon, a server came out the door, and yelled to us “ hey guys, you forgot your bag!!” we both thought that they meant takeout food that someone else left and they were confused. It turns out that when we were there over a month ago, we left our favorite diaper bag, and the server had been watching for us to return it. When they gave us the bag, it had our baby’s favorite stuffy bunny, Peter, that we have been looking for everywhere. The servers name was Chris and we are so so thankful. YES!! I love Portland!
very good restaurant.
Best Thai on Alberta, our go to spot. Try the spicy eggplant. Also great spring rolls.
Great Thai food. Love the atmosphere. Little nicer than other local places
Family favorite, great flavors and kind and responsive staff.
Excellent food and service every time!
Good Thai food. Worth the trip.
Reliably good food. Not amazing, but pretty darn good.
If you're looking for an exceptional Thai dining experience, then look no further than Thai Noon restaurant! From the moment you step into the charming and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, you're transported to a world of flavor and culinary excellence.
To start, we highly recommend trying their signature cocktails - the "thaigaritas" and "Thai Me Ups". The blend of sweet and tangy flavors will tantalize your taste buds and set the tone for the rest of the meal.
For appetizers, we opted for the Golden turnovers which were simply divine. The crispy exterior and savory filling left us wanting more.
Moving on to the main course, we were blown away by the Larb and Drunken Noodles. The Larb, a traditional Thai dish made with ground meat, was perfectly spiced and served with a generous amount of fresh herbs. The Drunken Noodles, with its flavorful sauce and tender noodles, were a standout dish that we'll definitely be ordering again.
Overall, we rate Thai Noon 5 out of 5 for their exceptional cuisine and welcoming ambiance. The attention to detail in both the food and decor truly make this restaurant a gem in the culinary world. If you're a fan of Thai cuisine or looking to try something new, we highly recommend giving Thai Noon a visit - you won't be disappointed!
Love getting food here! Always good.
Very flavorful Thai dishes. Portions are large and great for sharing.
Minimalist decorations, and different from the typical American Thai restaurant.
Don't miss out the amazing and colorful mural on the inside wall.
Updated interior is quite nice.. Always good, friendly service.
simple easy thai food
We’ve been trapped inside for a couple days in Portland due the snow storm and everything has been closed. Luckily some places opened back up and Thai Noon was the closest to us with great reviews! The staff was really nice and our server was so sweet and attentive. We sat right by the window with the sun shining our faces and got to people watch as we ate. We ordered 2 Thai iced coffees, papaya salad, spring rolls, duck curry, green curry and a basil stir fry. Everything was delicious and mains were all big portions. We had to bring half of it home but finished all the apps. Service was fast, food was good but not as spicy as my sis wanted (she eats extremely spicy). To me it was just perfect. I’m happy! What a great lunch.
Food was just lame and a rip off. Potstickers we’re deep fried instead of steamed with no indication. Pad Thai had little black flecks in it and every bite tasted like burnt skillet. Took like three bites and done. The only good thing was a the cocktail. Throw out that pan
I am disappointed in the rice size provided with take out orders. The small is insufficient and $2.50 for extra rice and you give ne another small!? 😭 Chicken Eggplant dish never disappoints! So flavorful! Option to pay extra for organic vegetables! Hope they'll have organic chicken upgrade option one day. Great indoor dining with garage door for sunny days.
It's a nice open restaurant with still a cozy feel. I went there for Happy Hour and ha
delicious and reasonably priced. $30 where I expected $70.
The food wasn't good it was excellent.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, and big portions. Their wontons are to die for!
My favorite Thai Food Restaurant!!! Try their chicken pot stickers, they're to die for⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing yellow curry!
Shrimp fried rice. Add crab, Veggies and pineapple. Oh and 10 outta 5 spiciness. Your welcome
Had a party for 12 of my employees. They exceeded my expectations. The food is fantastic. They had everything prepared for pick up. It was easy to transport for a private party. Prices and portion size are reasonable.
The food was as bland as could be. Asked for my food medium spicy, which I had to mention it was never asked. Food came without any spiciness at all. Food flavor was lacking as well, very bland tasting.
I’ve been eating at Thai noon for six years or so. Sometimes more than once in a week. Never less than once a month. I will continue to be a regular for as long as I live in this neighborhood. The good stuff is the food is always ready really fast, the people are nice, and sometimes the food is amazing. Other times it’s totally bland and lacking in spice or flavor. The spice level seems especially random I’ve ordered medium and gotten food too spicy to eat and I’ve ordered hot that had no heat at all. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty good and checks a lot of boxes!
Delicious food and they followed all my instructions! Great experience! We will order from here again!
Very tasty Thai food and friendly service!
Good quality Thai. I had a northern specialty curry which was delicious... Not too sweet. Other dishes also winners. Service was prompt and attentive, and interior decor was nice.
I had such high hopes for this place!! The reviews are good but our food was- Meh. We ordered salad rolls, yellow curry and spicy sweet basil; med heat on both. Salad rolls were good. Curry: not much FLAVOR. It tasted like spicy coconut milk and a dash of yellow curry. Sweet basil a smidge better but... Thai food is TASTY. The food we received was missing something.
Quick, very yummy and kind service. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
I got a vegan mango curry with tofu. Food was well cooked, seasoned, fresh ingredients, and the spiciness was perfect. Vegan options made upon request you won't regret it. I highly recommend Thai Noon Restaurant!
Please avoid this please if you want your tips unauthorizedly added to your receipt or being chased down to your vehicle because you did not leave a tip because of their cold bad services.
I went there on time to eat dinner myself, the lady seemed unhappy and rushed me to leave the place while I was eating even though it was only 6pm. However, I like their food and decided to come back
I went here again today, and tried somefood with my boyfriend. Food was ok. They at first tried to sell my more food and I refused. Later, they did not service me at all, and when I talked to them they completely ignored and aggressively poured water into my glass and water flashed onto my face. I just thought that maybe an accident. but it was not an accident at all because the whole time I was eating, they kept looking at me and making me feel uncomfortable.
Because of that, I did not want to leave a tip this time because of how aggressive they were to me. And after I paid, they FOLLOWED ME TO MY VEHICLE and STARED AT ME. So my bf came back and had to talk to them because they followed us to our vehicle.
No one should legally follow us to our vehicle because we did not leave the tip for their bad services.
Execellent sushi and fried veggies
It was OK. Stopped in last minute. Won't be back. Nothing bad to say just wasn't impressed.
We were looking for something delicious, and we definitely found it. With three of us, we ordered some Thai American classics to have family style: salad rolls, pad Thai, house curry, fried rice, and sticky rice with mango. Each one was outstanding, please eat here.
Only $66.00 for all that, and we even had Thai iced tea, appetizers, and dessert.
Love this place. Reliable, quick take out. Cute dine in.
The food was fresh and delicious. Service was great - friendly and fast. It felt casual and unpretentious. I will definitely go back.
Curries/soups may be the best in the city! Noodle dishes are lacking in flavor and sometimes rubbery.
Excellent variety of food choices.
Friendly and attentive staff, nice music, tasty food, low prices. Quantities are good. Welcoming of all types. Happy customer. Will come again. Thank you!
Always great food.
Excellent food ! Vegetarian options were the right spice level & satisfying. Quick service is another bonus!
I am changing my review from three stars to five stars as the last few times i have been there the food was excellent, the staff were very nice and the experience was overall very enjoyable. While Thai Noon had dropped in quality when they opened up again after being closed cause of the pandemic, they have bounced back as the best thai food around town.
Good👍🏻
When traveling to Portland we always make Thai Noon one of our must stops. Delicious Thai food, very nice staff, and quick service.
It was pretty fire.
Delicious! Everything was great!
The top spot for Thai in NE Portland
'Walked in and immediately saw a server walking with a fried rice dish towards a customer's table and thought that dish looked soo yummy. I'm sure had I ordered it, I would have had a very different lunch experience.
Instead... against my better judgement, I ordered what I usually order from Thai restaurants, chicken phad Thai.
At first glance, I immediately could see how very wet the dish was... at first bite, it was almost as if I ordered a ramen noodle dish.
I should have ordered a fried rice dish.
The thing is... last time I came here, I ordered the same thing and thought exactly the same afterwards. Why I didn't learn from back then, I really don't know.
I finished my lunch and as I was signing my credit card slip, I thought of dessert and asked whether or not they are serving Sticky Rice with Mango. They said yes so, I ordered it. It arrived at my table and thought exactly the same thing about the phad Thai, the rice was drowning in sauce? I took my first bite and was overwhelmed with how much sugar there was in this sauce, it was too much and too sweet... and this coming from someone who loves sweets.
I'm giving 3 stars because I've not yet decided to give up on Thai Noon, I am still interested in trying out other dishes. As far as the ones I've had today, never again.
I went here for my birthday dinner with 10 other friends. You can reserve tables in advance. The ambiance here is decent. What I didn't enjoy was the service from staff. They were kind of cold and have rude looks. The food tasted pretty good and the service was very fast as the restaurant was not much crowded and also that it was a Monday night.
Excellent fried rice and coconut curry
Their basil fried rice was so good
Friendly service and excellent food. My favorite Thai restaurant on Alberta. My guests were likewise happy with their selections
So good! So fast! Lots of things could be made gluten free. We ordered a few things and thoughly enjoyed both!
I'm a visitor to Portland on the regular and tried this place out cause a sweetie lives close by. We shared two entrées and some thai iced teas love this places
Got to try the mango curry.
Favorite thai spot
I drive from Salem to eat at the best thai food restaurant in the state
