Familiar Thai classics such as pad Thai & mango sticky rice in a basic dining room or outdoors.
This is the best restaurant in town! I have been coming to pad Thai kitchen for years and they are always so good. Pad Thai and pad see ew are my main choices. I dream about their spicy tofu. Plus no one makes a better red curry! Every single staff member really goes out of their way to be extra friendly! This place makes Portland for me!
First thing you notice when walking into the restaurant is the wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen. The food did not disappoint here. It was excellent and the service was great. Everyone at the table loved their meal and we all decided this is where weβll want to come for Thai food. The staff was friendly and attentive as well. Will definitely be back!
We got the Phad Thai and basil fried rice. The food was delicious, the portions were generous (leftovers!) and the service was speedy and friendly. I wish I lived in the area and could go here more often!
Always nice, prompt, and tasty. A neighborhood institution

I had fantastic Pork Phanaeng curry---The first recorded mention of phanaeng is found in Mom Somchin Rachanupraphan's book Tamra Kap Khao published in 1890 (via wiki)
We got the pork larb, drunken noodles, pad Thai and mango sticky rice. The larb was solid. The drunken noodles were literal mush when we opened the box; There was not a singular noodle that was intact, but the flavor was spot on for what it is worth. The pad Thai tasted like it had tomato paste in it and no peanut flavor, but at least the noodles still looked like noodles. The mango sticky was alright. I am not coming back here.

Probably some of the best Thai in Portland. And the staff are so sweet. And they have Coke products instead of Pepsi which is just wonderful.

Really tasty pad Thai and big portions
Very nice on the inside, staff is very friendly and helpful, food was amazing
Their pumpkin curry is always a 12/10. The pumpkin is always cooked to perfection. Not too soft, but not too hard.
The food was amazing, the portions were HUGE, the staff was very efficient, and the prices were nice. If you're looking for a great place for Thai food, I can't recommend this place enough
This was my first time there and i was very surprised by the easy going Restaurant, smelled so good , they were very busy but that changed nothing they were still very nice and communicated everything and i wasnt even there 5 min sence i got to go , i also asked for exstra limes they didnt charge me the cashier was so sweet too and the pad Thai was so yummy and they truly give you the most and some places only a couple pieces of chicken thia was all i could eat noodles and chicken so happy and cant wait to have mo ey to go back its a very big and like your own kitchen smelled so good too just really thankful found them
This has quickly become my go-to Thai place in the neighborhood! Everything I've had here has been delicious (though I typically go with the panang curry). They are always so friendly here too!
Wonderful food and service for a great price.
Amazing Thai restaurant. When I lived in Portland, this was my favorite place to eat Thai. And I haven't had any incredible Thai food since I moved to Georgia. The Drunken Noodles are incredible.
That was quite possibly the very worst pad thai I've ever had in my life. You don't make pad Thai with ketchup idiots it's called peanut sauce. π€¦
Great food, good prices
Delicious, convenient, friendly staff, always fast service, whether dining in or picking up!
Got a mild food poisoning from the red curry with tofu. Also it was one of my least favorite red curries Iβve had - before the mild food poisoning
Pad Thai: A deliciously balanced dish with stir-fried noodles, sweet tamarind sauce, crunchy peanuts, and a hint of lime. Itβs a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, and tangy.
I ordered the βno spicyβ option and received a dish so spicy my nose is running. The beef was so over cooked it was inedible. The vegetables were overcooked to the point of being soft. And for $17 I expected a full size container, but received only a partially filled half. I was really bummed.
Friendly and good service. I am not a Pad Thai expert but I enjoyed the food.
Best Thai food I've had in the Portland Metro. It's no-frills, but high quality. The Tom Kha and Pad Kee Mao are my go-to, but I've really liked everything I've had. They're also fast and the employees are pleasant and accommodating.
When I try a Thai place for the first time, I always like to go with their Pad Thai first. My wife got the Spicy Tofu dish, which I also tried a few bites of. The food was excellent. The service was also excellent.
I originally removed 1 star because the bathroom was in need of servicing (could've used some cleaning), and was out of paper towels. While this was a bit annoying, it would not prevent me from returning again, which I think warrants the full 5 stars.
Good food but the atmosphere wasn't great
We have eaten at this restaurant for over 20 yrs and this was one of the worst meals yet. Super disappointing!
Pad Thai was delivered as a box of noodles and veggies (paid for extra but definitely didnβt see that) drenched in sweet & sour sauce β nary a peanut nor egg to be found. Disappointing that their namesake was gross, will not be reordering. Salad rolls were fine but nothing special.
They waited for me to show up after I was late:/
They are so sweet and amazing people. The food was incredible. Get the curry puffs.
It was a solid experience. Food was fantastic and came out lightning fast. It could easily be a 5 star experience, there was just something a little off, and difficult to put my finger on.
I'll try them again and revise up if I feel like maybe it was just me today that was having a difficulty coming to that five-star place.
There is no better place in SE that you can get such delicious food for such an amazing cost! The drunk noodles & crab ragoons are out of this world! Anytime Iβm sick, I get their Tom kha and it heals me π₯Ί
pad thai kitchen is dependably delicious. itβs never a bad idea. great food and service.
Super delicious!!
Iβve been going here for over 10 yrs and they are consistent with what most folks consider standard Thai dishes but done with very high attention to quality and being authentic.
Donβt eat here. The staffs are rude/racist and the food isnβt even that good. Go to Thai Peacock.
My favorite Thai place in Portland, it may even be my favorite restaurant. Delicious food, enormous portions, affordable prices with quick, incredible service. Parking lot and big booths are a plus, highly recommend, and the staff is so friendly.
Love this place... I come here a lot. Food is always consistent. I love their panang cury and basile fried rice π₯‘π π€©
The service and our waitress was very good. I was terribly disappointed in the lemongrass chicken. I have had this in other Thai restaurants, and it was a medium spicy mixture of chicken and vegetables in a Chilli and lemongrass sauce. What I got was pile of nicely cooked carrots, cabbage and broccoli topped with generous portions of chicken, I think breast. On top was a little bit of sort of a very bland peanut sauce...no chili or lemongrass in the sauce. We asked if I had been given the correct dish, and they confirmed it was supposed to be lemongrass chicken.
A lot of food. And would be fine for people who don't know what Thai food is supposed to taste like.
.
The first time we had food from here it was delicious! When I ordered the second time the food was gritty from what I assume was a a dirty grill/stovetop/pan.
One of my favourite restaurants in portland for Thai food!
What a wonderful find! The servings were so generous and flavorful. We got the house special curry and my husband got the cashew nut. So delicious! We will be back!
Awesome noodles π!
Food was so good.
Been coming here for years but they left out part of my online order & the pad thai which I ordered hot was totally bland. Do better PTK
Everything was great at this restaurant!!!
The service was fantastic and I loved all of the Halloween decorations.
Great experience, great food. Ordered the gluten free pad se ew. Service was fast and friendly.
Yummy pad thai! A casual eatery with good portion size. Decent pricing
This is not good Thai food. Super bland and lacks taste.
One of my favorite restaurants! Service was friendly & fast. Restaurant was clean, comfortable, had a very good vibe. My mom and I split an order of shrimp salad rolls (the peanut sauce is SO good), and the lunch-size garlic pepper tofu stir fry. 2 iced teas. This was the perfect amount of food for the two of us, and for a great price. Felt healthy too :)
I used to hear years ago and it was so delicious. I decided to get takeout and it was the worst Thai food I think I've ever had. I decided to go simple with pad Thai with pork. The flavor was so dull and the noodles were gummy and the pork was so dry, I couldn't tell if it was chicken. I got wontons too and the skin was so thick and felt like it was coated with cornmeal. The wonton filling was dry and bland and the sauce that it came with was weird. My friend got salad rolls and said they were pretty bland as well. What happened to this place? I will not be ordering again sadly. I missed the food that they used to have.
Great food and great service
Best food loved it also plenty for the next day
Service is a bit slow and they cater to take out mostly. Good food and reasonable prices.
One of mine and my coworkers places to have lunch and have quick meetings while enjoying good food
Excellent food and service, want to have the hot Thai tea they make! The yellow curry and drunken noodles were tasty and nice portions. Apps were crab puffs and egg rolls. DELICIOUS
Great vegan options
I used to think that they make the best pad thai in Portland and been a regular customer. However, the squid from the pad thai I had was terribly fishy and bad, and I bit into a plastic foreign object while eating the garlic beef. I ended up throwing both of them away. I had a similar experience (one time I found a similar plastic object in their pad thai) before but decided it to give it another go. Very disappointed sadly. Never ordering from here again.
Got the Pad Kee Mao and a stir fry dish, and they were both amazing. We eat A LOT of different Thai food around Portland and Beaverton, and this place definitely was solid. Would come back for sure if back in the area. Definitely give it a try.
Delicious green curry on my tongue and fuchsia cherry blossom in my sight.
Yummy food. Even my kids love it. The House Special Fried Rice is delicious! The staff is so friendly too.
My daughter and I had shrimp spring rolls, shrimp pad Thai, and mango sticky rice with Thai iced tea and it was all very delicious. The shrimp in the pad Thai was cooked perfectly, too. The portion sizes were large and it was not expensive at all. highly recommended
Great food. Ordered several different options, and each was excellent. Two.of the dishes were stir fries with chicken in an oyster sauce, best I've had. Other dishes were with the noodles, also excellent. Not fancy, but excellent friendly service. Were there at lunch time and most of the orders were takeout.
Sadly the quality and flavor has changed significantly since takeout has become the priority
My food and drink were delicious. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside and patio are nice. I also eat thai food often so please check this place out!
This place is almost an anamoly now. Amazing food with huge portions at a great price. It's become my favorite thai place in Portland.
Had the Fried rice w/beef and Pad Thai. Best Thai I have had in a long while. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. Look forward to coming back.
Great Thai food. Decent sized cocktail too.
Great food
A favorite Thai spot for 25 years. The food is always fantastic, and the service is consistently great.
My partner always gets the yellow curry with chicken, while I have enjoyed many dishes, and would be hard pressed to name just one. Amongst my favorites are panang curry, pad thai woo sen, and tom kha gai.
I love this place..don't know if it's the same family running it, but my son and I frequented the Kitchen when he was growing up. Returning here today, so many memories, good ones. Introduced my fiance, Joe, today and he is so happy! Going to make some new memories..
The very best! Great food, great people.
My family and I have counted on Pad Thai for freshly and quickly made, good Thai food for years.
Take out, or eat in, it is one of our favorites.
Best Thai in town. Great quality and decent size portions. They never miss.
I love this place, the food is excellent. The red curry dish is my favorite. The staff is always nice and it's a nice space for lunches or dinners.
Best fried rice I've ever had
Visiting Portland and was craving some Pad Thai. This spot had high reviews on Grubhub and the prices were great. I got Pad Thai (medium spice) and a papaya salad. The salad, although wrapped in a plastic bag, leaked through and saturated the takeout bag, leaving a sticky mess all over my hotel room. The salad was okay overall. The Pad Thai was an ENORMOUS portion which easily could have fed me for three meals. The flavor and spice were nonexistant and the noodles were kind of gluey. I know a delivery order won't be the same as eating in the restaurant but the lack of seasoning and spice really ruined it for me.
Yummy!
A solid Thai eatery! I also enjoyed their cocktails.
Food was delicious and portions were large. The service was also very nice and attentive. My water never got less than half full. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would love to come back.
More than 30 minutes to wait for an order when all the upcoming orders came first and also they don't have correct manners to deal with delivery drivers...
This is one of the top 10 Thai places in all of the Portland Metro area. Food is incredible.
We haven't been here since they remodeled and changed owners a year ago. The server said the food is just as good as before, but it wasn't! We won't be back!
Amazing Yakisoba! The staff there are super nice and it was great service. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is into thai food in Portland, some of the best! :)
DO NOT ORDER FROM GOOGLE WEBSITE. This website is a scam, and the restaurant doesn't seem to really care that it hurts their reputation or customers. We had to cancel a credit card right before a trip because of this place. Such a horrible experience.
good price, excellent service.
Fresh, good, quality flavor! I will be back.
Great place for lunch specials. Get it extra spicy!
Everything was fresh and delicious, thank you
I ordered Thai food because I was really craving yellow curry. My friend had told me this place was good and their prices matched their portions and flavor. I placed a take out order, yellow chicken curry, medium spice level with sticky rice.
I got home opened the bag and noticed that my sticky rice was really only enough for one person. They upcharged $2 for sticky rice when it was the size of my palm. Most places give you jasmine rice automatically and give you a side of sticky rice with an extra charge. This place does not.
Already upset I opened the curry, maybe if the curry was excellent it would've made up for the small portion size of the sticky rice. Boy was I disappointed. Curry was bland, not a lot of chicken, and it was more like I ordered soup that was flavored curry, not a thick creamy curry that I was supposed to eat with rice.
Never ever going back here again. Don't recommend. It's a shame that this place serves curry at all.
The parking lot was the best part of this experience. Really great, cause I know Portland can be hard to find street parking.
Outstanding! The Khao Soi is the best Iβve had since Chiang Mai. And the portion size is enough for two meals.
I was in Portland for a short amount of time and ended up having Pad Thai Kitchen. It was delicious! The Pad Thai was great. Thai tea is always necessary as well:)
I have lived in Portland for over 10 years and have experienced many many thai food places, but this one is bar far the best pad thai Iβve ever had. Pad thai with chicken is my go to. Not only do they give a very generous portion, but their flavor is spot on. Their noodles are juicy, not dry at all. I drool just thinking of this place!
1st time in there today. The Tom Kha was excellent, perfect sourness and coconut milk. The Lemongrass Pad Thai superb, and my #47 Sizzling Sea Food on Cast Iron pan was phenomenal. The service as well is amazing fast and friendly even though the place is packed inside and out. I'll come here as often as I can when I can. Thank you all for the great 1st experience here!π
A Portland classic, do not miss this place for authentic, happily cooked Thai food.
Great soup, perfect pad kee mao. Good service too!!
They wonβt let you relay allergy info over DoorDash, which is silly. I could call in by phone and say βno onionsβ but theyβve chosen not to let us type it in on the app.
Classic pdx! Not some new school fancy pants richie rich imposter. This is legit Thai food 110%! Real flavor...don't settle for portland wannabe foodie hype. This place has stood the real test of time...
This is one of our go to spots. Good food at a great price, can't go wrong here!
Great red curry
Blazing fast service. Ordered online, and the food was done in less than 15 minutes. I walked over from my vacation rental next door after 12-13 minutes, and it was already ready!! Portions were large. Tasty, everything was well prepared. Prices were very reasonable, and they seem to do a ton of carry out. I saw about 8 bags on the table ready to be picked up. Very friendly service too!!!
Delicious food, made quickly amd always worth the price. And the employees are friendly too!
Pad Thai kitchen is my goto for Thai food. The food is always fresh and delicious, portions are great, and theyβre super friendly. Highly recommend!
Not as spicy as I hoped but it was delicious. I tried the drunken noodles and they were very good
Good neighborhood restaurant . Family friendly.
My favorite thai restaurant by far!
Wonderful food. Great spice level and nice portions.
Best Thai food in Portland! There's a reason it's so popular. You will love the people there also! Best crew, love you guys.
Dest dang thai in portland!!
Over the past two years something has changed here and their food has gone from being some of the most authentic Thai food in Portland to some of my least favorite. I will no longer be dining here, as I have given it one too many chances since first tasting the change :( what happened?!
Food was great but poorly costumer service.
Iβm new to Portland but not Pad Thai (the dish). Ordered takeout for lunch today and everything looked promisingβ¦ great reviews, great prices, very friendly staff, the space had a good vibe, too.
However, I ordered the namesake Pad Thai as it seemed like a safe bet and a bellwether of mine for thai spots.
Good:
Prices, portions, and service.
Not so good:
Spice, flavor, ingredients balance
Honestly disappointed by my order. Got medium spice⦠there was none. Got chicken, there was hardly any (plenty of noodles tho). The sauce⦠and I hate to say this⦠taste more like ketchup to me than a spice and tamarind blend.
3 stars for the effort and value. Minus 2 for the actual food.
Rude customer service long wait no parking
Excellent food. Really nice staff.
Great food, reasonable priced, speedy service.
Used to be the best thai food in town!! Now, it tastes horrible.. padthai was pinkish and slight taste of ketchup.. I wouldnt go back after this experience
So, at one point in Portland there were as many Thai places as espresso bars. Over the last decade this is one I keep going back to, and that says something.
Good food. Very friendly people.
the food here is delicious, and it came out so fast, like within 10-15 minutes of ordering.
Simply delicious! My friend loved it and invited me, I was delighted. We ordered pla took pad pit, catfish with bamboo shoots and eggplant, salmon special curry, pineapple fried rice, pot stickers and spring rolls. Everything was well prepared, fresh and very tasty. Did I mention the great service?
To be entirely honest I was having a kind of miserable day and nothing was going my way and I was just hoping to watch a Christmas movie in my stained yoga pants, drink some wine and enjoy some takeaway and this food was so good I started crying. I did order a spice level five (Pad Gra-Prao), which means Iβm not sure if the tears are from that or joyβ¦ or my seasonal depression. But the food was absolutely amazing and I will be ordering it again! Highly recommend subbing the rice for noodles to make it extra fun.
We ordered delivery and it was speedy and the order was complete. Food was so-so.
Tom kha soup was delicious and exactly as it should be.
Spicy green beans were alright although they weren't spicy
Pad see ew was terrible. The dish is supposed to be stir fried in soy sauces. That's what gives the noodles flavor and color. Our noodles were completely white, plain and bland bland bland.
Very yummy so much food per plate delicious and friendly staff
Outdoor seating available.
Update: here's a pic I just took. If u zoom in, u can tell it's a roach. It's a baby but it'll get bigger.
I've picked up from here the past 2 days & both times used the bathroom. I saw roaches in there each time. Someone really should call the health inspector. I've lived here for 7 yrs & haven't seen a single roach since I left AZ. I didn't even think Portland had them honestly!
Nice out door seating and massive, not to mention delicious π portions and the duck curry keep me coming back year after year. Been here 21 years and this has been my favorite Thai in the city and again a neighborhood location.
This place is so awesome. Best Thai food I have ever eaten! Very authentic.
Not sure why this place doesn't have perfect 5 stars....is absolutely the very best Thai food I have ever had.
The food here was great. Unfortunately they currently don't have indoor seating which was disappointing (although somewhat understandable in the current state of the pandemic), but the patio was nice and shaded. Good place to eat overall.
Always on point, fast, consistent!
This is my favorite Thai place in Portland, and I want to give 5 stars, but I have a question....I have been working my way up the heat scale, starting with mild. If I order 4 it's not quite as spicy as I'd like it. If I get 7 it is a tad too spicy. Why is there no 5 or 6? Your crew there has told me it's 1,2,3,4 and then 7. Why is this? What should I be asking for to get ithe spice right? If you can help me with this, I will gladly change this review to 5 stars.
Best drunken noodles in town.
Food was okay but the place was very dirty
Pad Thai Kitchen gets points for speed, reasonable pricing, and large portions. However their preparations are very simple, with little seasoning. I had salad rolls, green papaya salad and pad thai with chicken. The green papaya salad was without enough citrus or kick. The pad thai tasted like it was made with ketchup. Maybe their curries are good. I won't find out. It was not a bad meal, but I won't order from there again.
I love this place. Used to work here and since the pandemic I've been having the urge to go back. I love the Pineapple Fried Rice - they're always so quick you can definitely get away with going there for a work lunch break.
Yum!
Worst place in PDX, 10 ppl working at this restaurant. but they donβt know what they doing.
Food and drinks are delicious!
Really?!?? They wouldn't add pad thai sauce to a dish that didn't have it. Told me they can't do that. Lost my business today and in the future βΉ Would be zero stars if possible.
Update.. I actually did order. And I can't add anything good. Ordered pad thai (add broccoli)
Literally only 3 bites of broccoli. Ordered heat level 3 out of 4. I expected it to be spicy (wouldn't you?) It was NOT spicy at all!
Bottom line is they are very average American thia food. Nothing to write home about, for sure.
