Modern Thai outfit is a buzzy spot for inventive dishes, craft cocktails & sophisticated atmosphere.
Got a black cod curry and a crab fried rice from here. The cod has a very nice texture and was enjoyable. However the curry was super salty, and didn't have a super deep taste. The crab fried rice seemed dry and not very fresh. However, the servers were very nice and the atmosphere of this place is good too.
Super solid Thai comfort food!!!!
We had 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. The vegan Massaman had such a depth of flavor which is difficult to achieve in this type of dish without fish sauce. It was soooo yummy!!
I think that the Pad See Ew was the star of the show! It was super fresh, delicious and so flavor!
The chicken satay skewers were also amazing! I didn’t care for the Kanom gui chai but my partner loved them! Super friendly staff and inviting dining room. Although we sat in the back room because we didn’t have a reservation and it was pretty busy. Definitely recommend!
I had the Black Cod curry which was very delicious. My husband had the Guai Thai (don't remember the name), it was also delicious, a good mix of veggies and chicken. Then for appetizers, we had the wings which was phenomenal. Not a lot of breading and I had the tamarind sauce on the side, worked perfect! The little Thai sausages complement the whole dinner. It was an awesome dinner! We'll definitely come back.
Only complaint, not a whole lot of parking. You park on the street which can be a hassle.
The aesthetic was cool. The food? Remarkable! The Guay Tiew Kua Gai was nothing short of amazing, and the Luk Chin (chicken meatballs) were packed with flavor. However, the Isaan Som Tum didn’t quite agree with my palate. The drinks were pretty solid, and while the service wasn’t exactly memorable.
Overall I would recommend this place!
We got the pork belly fried rice and Khao Soi. The Khao Soi was acceptable but the fried rice was bland. The chicken wings though!!! They gave the option to do half and half flavors. Both flavors were soooooo good. Highly recommend their chicken wings (Peek Gai Tod). Would consider returning to try other menu items.
Hard to overstate how positive an experience this meal was! Would and will return soon.
FOOD: Apologies for not remembering the proper names but we got the chive pancakes, crispy chicken, and japanese eggplant dishes, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The pancakes were gooey and delectable, a real treat. The mains were fantastic to share and came with a healthy portion of pretty damn good rice. The dessert was 10/10 as well. Overall, when we come back I'll be struggling between ordering the same great stuff or trying some new and doubtlessly equally good dishes.
SERVICE: Helpful, kind, personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious. We asked for our server's favorite dishes and they listed a bunch in every category with lots of detail.
I know I'm gushing too much and my wife is telling me I'm being weird but it really just was a great dinner lol
## A Hidden Gem for Thai Cuisine!
I recently dined at Paadee and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening.
### Delicious Food
The food was absolutely delicious! Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the authentic taste of Thai cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the Pad Thai and Green Curry—both were perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying.
### Exceptional Service
What truly stood out, though, was the incredible crew. They were not only friendly but genuinely cared about our dining experience. When my kiddo found the dishes too spicy, they quickly offered extra noodles without hesitation. This thoughtful gesture made all the difference and showed how much they value their customers.
### Family-Friendly Environment
The restaurant is also very family-friendly, making it a great spot for parents with kids. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, which made our visit even more enjoyable.
In summary, if you’re looking for tasty Thai food served by a caring team, Paadee is the place to be! We can’t wait to return for another wonderful meal!
Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so my husband and I decided to go last night. Everything was amazing! From the moment we walked in. The fabulous host was wonderful and friendly, I LOVE his style and hot pink blazer. The food was SO tasty, we had the black cod red curry, the special grapefruit, and shrimp salad, the crispy chicken dish and fried tofu appetizer. Their house red and white wine were delicious as well, and paired fabulously with our food.
Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, we will definitely be going back 🫶🏼
We got Pad Kee Mao and Pad See Ew for take out, and it was bland. Not sure why, but it tasted really bitter to me and left a bitter taste in my mouth. Maybe it was the lime? My partner couldn’t taste the bitterness, but it had no flavor to him either. Other reviews hyped this place as one of the best Thai restaurants, but I think it’s just catering to the area and just not authentic enough for us, unfortunately.
Greatest pork belly I've ever had! Crispy skin, delightful spice, and wonderful flavors and presentation.
Terrible attitude !! After thier mistakes! Very disappointed.
Amazing food, great location, cute place!!
Everything is perfect, and balanced: food/service/music
Tasty but portions are a bit small for the prices.
This has been my favorite Thai in Portland but y’all gave my grandma food poisoning. And I tried to get Pad Kee Mao the other night but my noodles were one solid mass, and there were more bean sprouts than anything else.
Amazing people, great service, good drinks.
The food though, it was huge letdown. Given the great Thai food I’ve had in Portland in place like Thai bloom and Thai peacock, this was disappointing to say the least. Overall food lacks salt and any hint of spice.
We ordered
Rice with Brussels sprouts: this was like meeting someone with two first names. It just doesn’t work!
Pad Thai: missing egg, lack of salt, no real taste.
Pad se ew: got a big clump of something, felt like straight outta the microwave…random bursts of pepper and salt that made things even worse.
Don't want to wait for a table? Then go for lunch! The full menu and specials are available. The tempura delicada squash is fantastic, as is the omlette laab! Paadee is a consistent, delicious meal.
Best Thai food in Portland. Great bar program to accompany authentic dishes.
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to
Best Thai food I've had since moving to the Portland area. They have much more than the standard fare
I ordered the duck raab medium spicy and found it so hot it was almost inedible.
I love Thai food, and I've enjoyed other restaurants owned by Nimsom. This was a bad meal. Ordered: fried tofu, crispy rice salad, tofu pad Thai, crispy chicken. Fried tofu and pad Thai were both ok, nothing special, pad Thai was very unbalanced. But the crispy rice salad, woah. It was soggy, barely any rice, the lettuce still had the roots attached, OVERWHELMING red onion. I love nam khao and crispy rice and this was the worst I've ever had. Not as bad as the crispy chicken dish though: there was MAYBE 2 pieces of exceptionally dry, leathery chicken. The rest of the bowl was literally bits of crispy batter with no chicken. It was SO crunchy and BONE DRY it was like eating granola. Genuinely one of the worst dishes I've had in a long long time. Can't fathom how this place has such a long wait.
One of my favorite restaurants
Good in maaany ways. Could have better servers! They are unpleasant, rude, sometimes even say things out of pocket.
Got takeout. There were a lot of bones in my fish curry, for 20 dollars it's annoying to do surgery on my food. Also bought some Tom Kha soup, it was OK but a little sour. Asked for both to be medium spicy and it was pretty mild. Good thing I keep thai chili's at home bc this happens a lot. It was ok overall.
Super solid Thai comfort food!!!!

Very fun dinner spot. Great spot to grab dinner and a cocktail without breaking the bank. Food was good, and I would consider popping in for dinner if I'm ever in the neighborhood.
很棒的泰國料理
非常道地唷~
Great food , service , extensive menu , if your in area and craving Thai food don’t pass this spot ,,
Really delicious Thai food. Was recommended by my niece, as were the individual dishes...and it was perfect!
Incredible food, w a snug little hip PNW lunch vibe.

One of my favorite places to dine in Portland. Excellent and legit Thai food with very reasonable prices. The service is kind and thoughtful. Will always come back
This is the BEST place I’ve been to in Portland. Food was fresh and the service was amazing. We had the Pad Kee Mao, Pad Makhua, and Peek Gai Tod. 10/10 recommend!!! Tons to vegetarian, vegan and meat options.
Really delicious curries and excellent service! The waitress had wonderful recommendations too!
Hostess was not friendly and definitely left us feeling like they did not care if we stayed or left and were not very welcome. No idea what the food is like but if this is how they welcome guests I don't really care to find out.
Delicious Thai food! Good cocktails! Great spot for a date. Gets busy, 30 min wait.
They need to reduce the amount of fish sauce they are using. The food smells disgusting. The crispy chicken was basically impossible to chew. It was thin slices of chicken deep-fired into the consistency of a dog chew. The black cod curry is basically a bowl of pineapple and a small piece of fish on top. This is one place I will never try again, those with me agreed.
After spending a few weeks in Thailand and developing a taste for authentic Thai dishes (and attending a wonderful cooking class in Chang Mai), my family has been searching for a dining experience reminiscent of that experience- not mushy bottomless pits of Pad Thai and soggy curries that have been titrating for days…
Paadee does Thai food the justice it deserves, flavor reigns over portion size, splitting a curry and noodle dish (both with tofu) left us plenty full, not stuffed, and deeply satisfied. The Kanom Jeen Gang Keaw Gai was spectacular, Thai winter comfort food for sure. The rice noodles were hearty, rich and perfectly prepared. We also shared the Gang Keaw Wan Pak Tofu, a wonderful curry that instantly took us back to Northern Thailand. “The Waterfall” was a light, refreshing cucumber infused Thai cocktail that went well with our entrees, would definitely recommend it.
Service was contact-free, order and pay online (at the tables), food was quick to arrive, all in all a great experience.
Paadee was an amazing take on thai food in a fancier setting. The drinks were so good and made with love. The staff were all peppy and excellent. Definitely recommend it here as someone who travels to Thailand every year. It is on the expensive side, but I think it is worth it. I do have to say their papaya salad lacked and was too sweet.
Quality food.
Still very good 🙏🏼
5 star dish. We had the Tamarind wing lunch set and it was plenty to share for two of us. The service was excellent. Atmosphere was very pleasant. We loved every song choice. Cheers from Minnesotans!
It was hard to choose what we wanted to eat. Because there was so many great options. The khao soi was incredible, Thom kha was rich and delicious. The ba mhee pitsanulok was also a winner. Will be back to try something new. Only reason I took off for atmosphere was there is no AC it didn’t seem like so going there on one of the hottest days of the year was not as enjoyable.
It's delicious. Just go. You're missing out if you don't.
I didn't enjoy the steak salad; there were so many pieces with too much fat to chew, and the sauce was overpowering. Most of the meal wound up in my napkin. I did enjoy the chicken skewers and the staff was friendly.
Everyone was very nice and the waitress was extremely attentive. It probably stems from the place being a small intimate location. It has indoor and outdoor seating and the portions were large! Husband and I shared all our dishes and we each had more than enough. I recommend the Khao Soi if you like coconut flavor. It was our favorite dish of the night!
Paadee has excellent service and a very nice atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the mixed drinks are very good. My one complaint is that the food was too spicy. The server did not ask about a heat level preference so many people in our party commented that the food was a bit too spicy.
super yummyyyy but also inconsistent with food dishes
Had the basics take out, green curry and pad see ew. Green curry was on the spicy side, and pad see ew heavy on salt.
Best Thai in town! It’s a must try and don’t miss their other restaurants like Hat Yai, Phuket Cafe, Eem and Yaowarat
The duck curry is amazing!
Hard to overstate how positive an experience this meal was! Would and will return soon.

I'd give Padee Thai Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It offers delicious Thai cuisine, a cozy ambiance, and attentive service, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal.
delicious but super abrasive and unfriendly customer service. others felt the same way being barked at to wait outside in the rain whether you were picking up food or had a reservation
I have mixed feelings. The special was asparagus salad and it was phenomenal! I would go back just for that honestly. But if I hadn't ordered that I probably wouldn't try it again. The tao hood tod (fried tofu) appetizer was not good. Can't remember what my husband ordered, it was ok but forgettable. I ordered a Thai tea and was upset about not only how small it was for the price but also that they just sent it in a premade bottle. I don't have an ice machine in my apartment so I wasn't able to drink it over ice like it should be enjoyed. It was a little pricey so I'm hesitant to give it another chance but I did really enjoy the special so maybe I just haven't ordered the right things.
Had a great dinner here! Food was delicious, and our server was so nice!
Came on a Saturday night. There was a 1.5gr wait time. They only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. The food is straight insane. Only thing was the wait.
Such yummy Thai!! We tried the prawn pad se ew and crab fried rice and it was delicious. Service was what took it over the top it was wonderful- guy with the large black septum piercing was VERY kind and had great service providing us with many hot sauces and explaining them. Definitely will come back for more!
Stevie the bar tender was amazing. They made the best drinks, was fast, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.
RoRo the host at Paadee was incredible, they made sure everyone was taking care of from when they first arrived to when they left and did so with a laugh and made you feel like family.
The food at Paadee was outstanding. Highly recommend the chicken satay and peek Gai Tod with tamarind!!!
I never do reviews. The host in the gold shirt was amazing. Didn't catch their name.
Amazing curry, good drinks and a killer interior (even the bathroom). Lots to choose from. Well worth a stop.
I had the Black Cod curry which was very delicious. My husband had the Guai Thai (don't remember the name), it was also delicious, a good mix of veggies and chicken. Only complaint, not a whole lot of parking. You park on the street which can be a hassle.
Called to ask about reserving a table for 7. They take all my info and tell me they have availability. After taking my info, they tell me they charge a deposit of $20/person, but it is applied to the bill at the end. This ultimately made me financially responsible for the entire meal (which I didn't want?), but we did it anyway.
One person doesn't show, so it's 6 of us. The table we were seated at was the only one that would be able to accommodate 6+ anyway. ANYWAY, I think the worst part was when they told us at the end that, "because you booked for 7 and only 6 arrived, the $20 you paid for the 7th person is usually forfeited, but we're gonna do you a solid and apply it to the bill..."
WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing me SUCH A SOLID and applying the money I paid for the deposit towards the bill like you told me you would in the first place. What a kind favor. She would have been better off saying nothing.
Really feels like they had one bad experience with no-show reservation and are making the rest of their customers pay for it. As a business, you incur risk. Stop making it the customer's problem.
Also, all of our drinks had salt in them where we thought there would be sugar? For example, a cherry garnish that looked to be covered in sugar, was actually a salt-covered cherry (fried my taste buds, thought they mixed up the salt with the sugar). The food was meh.
We were visiting from out of town and this reservation policy made me so stressed out. But to act like they were doing us a favor following through on applying the deposit towards bill? I will never return.
I don’t like writing reviews but earlier today some worker was very rude to me as I didn’t know I had to wait outside for takeout and yelled at me like I was a wild animal, anyways hope this one star does that bartender well for her customer service you know who you are - 2/20/24
Great spot

Seriously one of the best places in town. Getting the Brussels sprouts is mandatory. We've tried making something like them but can't get even close!! I've liked everything I've gotten here. Tasty cocktail menu too!
Ordered pick up, I went inside then the host or whatever told me to stand outside for the five seconds that it took him to pick up my to go order off of their shelf, which I was already standing three feet away from as I was already inside. Not sure why mr fire marshal had to make such a big deal of it. Terrible vibes wouldn’t recommend.
Great food variety and flavor for lunch specials
The 💅🏼🌈 person working there, with the headpiece, was beyond kind and sweet. Would visit again based on his/their vibes alone.
Excellent Pad Kee Mow
I live walking distance. I’ve eaten here 3 times, ordered pad kee mao with tofu 3 times, it tasted different everytime, is more expensive than the average Thai place but not better….like it’s good/okay. It’s convenient and good for when I’m craving Thai even though it’s not the best.
Now I have a bit of grudge because of the wildly bizarre experience I just had. I tried to stop in today on my way back from doing some work at a nearby coffee shop. I went in to use the bathroom first and then sit at the completely empty bar but was told to go back outside by *a person not doing anything* - into the cold because “the host is outside.” It was awkward and he was actually not outside. I waited for a minute with another to-be patron, and the host stepped outside *from inside the restaurant.*
The host (from what I could tell), was a big white guy, in traditional African clothing and jewelry/accessories. He proceeded to tell me I could not take the travel mug I had with me, inside. I showed him it was empty, but he insisted it was the policy for him to confiscate it or throw it away. It felt like I was going into a night club and not a Thai restaurant. It’s just supposed to be convenient, but I really don’t think I’ll be eating here again. The back and forth felt like a skit straight out of Portlandia. I left and had a laugh. Saved money and ate at home instead.
Really good food + service and super reasonable prices
went to this place on a whim and LOVED it!! the vibe is great, super chill, the servers were incredibly hospitable and attentive, and the food was out of this world! i just went to thailand this summer and have been missing having really good thai food and this place definitely scratched my itch! got the som tom thai, gai grop sam yan, kanang pad khai, and khao soi. all SO good!!!
So. Much. Yum. I ate way too much. If you've never gotten a Khao Soi before, get t!
Hands down the best Thai food in Portland. The sticky rice paired perfectly with the papaya salad and the gai grop Sam yan (fried chicken). The vegan masaman curry was rich and flavourful, and very authentic! Unfortunately the pandan cake was quite terrible but I'm giving 5 stars nonetheless due to the stellar service.
YUMmmmmmm
Food was absolutely fantastic.
So good, food was amazing service was on point, nice atmosphere and cozy
Went here with 9 of my coworkers for our holiday party. This place is SO worth the hype! Super bright space (we were there for lunch), killer drinks with punny names, excellent service, and amazing food. I definitely recommend eating family-style so you can try more than one dish. Some of our favorites: Tom Kha Soup, Crispy Chicken, Crab Fried Rice, the Chamoy drink. Since our party had a wide level of spice tolerances, our server gave us awesome guidance on ordering. We really appreciated it. What a meal!
The food is good, but the last few times I’ve gone the service has been frosty and rushed, like the server is trying to get rid of us. Maybe it’s because we aren’t white?
I am writing on a Tuesday wishing Paadee were open. Since they’re not and I was craving Thai I ordered from somewhere else that I consider better than most. So now I’m having the typical Portland Thai experience of dry meat, boring, imbalanced flavors and noodles that are somehow both dry and mushy at the same time. Paadee is delicious and reliable; most places are very inconsistent. You can find larger portions and slightly lower prices elsewhere if that’s all you care about, but Paadee is a better value. I usually order takeout or delivery but the restaurant is elegant and the owners are nice.
A beautifully portland experience with true flavors of Thailand. Authentic and wonderful. I highly recommend having a family style meal with your friends here.
The best dish here is the khao soi, huge portion for two even. The tastiest broth I’ve ever had. The slight from perfect review is that I’ve tried other dishes many times over the past 5 years and found lately the flavors lacking or dishes were overly salty, leaning more sweet, or lacked nuanced flavor & spices they used to have. Some of the vegetables like the eggplant in the green curry were hard and undercooked. Service is friendly and fast.
It was my first time at this place! Tucked away off burnside, easy to find parking on the street/residential.
Got the khao soi with chicken wings and pad kee mao. If you’re into a coconut curry noodle soup, I thought they executed this well! Came with a side of pickled mustard greens. The pad kee mao was just ok… didn’t really think it had much flavor even for “medium” spice. Will definitely be back to try the classics!
I would do strange things for that crab fried rice. I dont even live in Portland and Ive had it multiple times during my trip. Do yourself a favor and dont pass this spot up!
Lovely place for a cozy thai lunch. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help my complicated party. Food was wonderfully balanced and comforting. I am excited to return!
Definitely authentic Thai with the perfect amount of spice.
It was a 30-minute wait on a Sunday evening to get a table and definitely worth every second.
We got the family combo, the first option that had curry, fried rice, sticky rice, papaya salad, and some other items for the kids and a Phad Thai, Thai spicy.
The fried rice was not spicy, and the kids could eat it. The other items were slightly spicy, so they couldn't handle it yet as their pallette isn't evolved enough. The Phad Thai for the adults was perfect, and the papaya salad was definitely spicy. The best item on the table, so perfect, and the best i've ever had, honestly.
Will come back for sure.
Service is good and the food is well prepared. The guay kiew kua gai is particularly tasty.
Authentic Thai food, kitchen staff straight from Thailand . Amazing cocktails and slushies.
You can find substantially better Thai food in this city without trying very hard. I really want to like this spot as I live down the street but the portions are small and the food is bland.
Unsure how this could ever be less than 5 stars! World-class Thai food, and I truly mean it. This food is better than what you can get anywhere else in the U.S, and sometimes thailand. The dishes are a mix of thai-american and traditional, with options for true heat-lovers. It's incredible and one of the best places I've eaten in my life. Much love.
This place is so great. Absolutely Loved the red curry cod, possibly the best I’ve had!! Great cocktails as well and beautifully designed interior. Service is a bit slow but it’s worth the wait.
Absolutely incredible food
Great vibe, music, decorations. Coconut soup and asparagus salad were A++++
This is one of my favorite eats in all of Portland. I frequent here, and can't get enough of their pork belly or crispy chicken. Worth every penny, every time. If you aren't starving, plates are big enough to share! Cocktails are truly outstanding, and the atmosphere and service are incredible. Thank you Paadee!
Went here several years ago and I thought I would give it another try, but once again the food just wasn’t…good. Pad Thai was burnt, so that was the dominant taste, pork bowl barely had any pork, and the other dishes we had were just average. Way better Thai places than this in portland!
BEST food ever!! We all shared and everybody agreed it was amazing. Really friendly servers too
The best Thai food I’ve had. The green curry and Pad Kee Mao were incredible. Recommend them to all your friends.
This place rocks. Good from start to finish. Had the black cod curry which was delicious and the staff were the friendliest and nicest people. Such a nice change from what service in many places seems to have become.
Really good Khao Soi. Broth and noodles was on point to Northern Thai experience. Chicken wings and wonton strips was a nice original touch! Very nice service in a trendy hipster location.
Really enjoyed this place for northern Thai food. Spice was great, drinks good, service excellent
Food: 8/10
Service: 6/10
Vibes: 7/10
Recommendation Level: 7/10
This place is overrated. Food is ok. Had crab fried rice (less crab and more shrimp, should call it Shrimp Fried Rice 😆) and pad thai... Both are ok. Other Thai places can do a better job.
I love Paadee! Incredible Thai food with delicious drinks. My go to's are Green curry, Tom Kha Gai, Pad Kee Mao. The atmosphere is sophisticated but small, so plan accordingly. One thing I would change is finding this gem of a place earlier.
Paadee is goated. Grab a group of friends, get a table, order some cocktails and order a little bit of everything to share. There is not much on this menu I wouldn't recommend and the flavors are flavoring.
Personally I was mostly a fan of all the appetizers, especially the chicken wings but the entrees are fantastic. This is one of my favorite spots in Portland truly.
Delicious food and creative menu. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The green curry is really good and has some heat.
So far my favorite Thai food in Portland, and there are so many good options!! Every dish we ordered was really good(ordered half the menu: pad see ew, pas kee mow, fried rice, tofu, chicken wings, eggplant, calamari, crispy rice salad, omelette) nothing spicy minus the sauce for the crab fried rice, and the cocktails were to die for- lovely flavors and perfectly balanced. Would literally order everything again, but if had to choose 3 would be calamari, fried rice, and pad see ew. Also love seeing thai people in a Thai restaurant. Service was fine, not great. I’d go again and hope that day was just a long day for the dude.
Very great food here! We brought a friend who isn’t normally a very adventurous eater and he enjoyed everything he ate as well. He got the pork belly fried rice and loved it. Rave reviews for the coconut soup and the pad Thai as well. I had the pad kee mao with prawns, and it did not disappoint. Nor did the chicken wings appetizer with the tamarind sauce. Really tasty, hearty, flavorful food. I would definitely go back!
This place was pretty incredible, one of the top places I visited while in Oregon.
I don’t remember all the plates we had but they were all so delicious.
Those appetizers were incredible!
Service was pretty fast (we were hungryyy after our hike) and so friendly.
Would def go back whenever I visit Oregon.
Parking isn’t terrible you just have to walk a little, since it’s on a Main Street.
I was wiggling throughout my entire meal due to sheer joy from the delicious food and a bangin playlist going. Immaculate vibes that we will be back to experience! The Black Cod Curry was noteworthy. Recommend a weeknight to avoid long waits!
I really don’t understand the 5 star reviews. The food is bland, the portions are small and price is high.
It’s a fantastic place to take a photo for instagram and show everyone how cool you are for eating there.
Solid Thai food. Got pad Thai and pad kee mao. Both were great. Would recommend.
Drinks were amazing. Food on the dryer side. Got the labb duck and muuu pork.
Stingy with ingredients!!! Pork fried rice did not look like the photo at all, they gave maybe one slice chopped up total. Super overrated, way better Thai options elsewhere
Echoing all the good things said about this special place so far. Walking in and I could instantly see how they themed the entire place. Loved the Sai Grog issan (fermented pork sausage) and ba mhee Pitsanulok (egg noodle bowl with 3 kinds of pork). The 12 miles cocktail is not for me but if you like bourbon with dark fruity flavor then this is for you. Want to try other menu items like wings and tempura asparagus salad next time.
Outside covered seating, heated. Best Thai in Portland again and again, some say best on the West Coast. Newly remodeled. Best Slushy and cocktails on the East Side. Chef Earl finalist James Beard Award 2022 and owner of the renown Langbaan.
Got the Khao Soi and the Black Cod Curry —SO GOOD. The cod was *carefully* fried, leaving a thin layer of crunch while the rest of the meat was soft and melted in the mouth. Khao Soi with Tofu was delicious, a rich broth with a good spice flavor and a lot of noodles, I will come back for it. The outside seating next to the gas fireplace was very cozy and a great place to enjoy this meal.
Delicious! Nice servers. Pleasant place to eat outdoors.
Small portion sizes, take out served cold, despite arriving early. Not a good value
The dranks. Ohmygawd the dranks.
The staff have really good energy and the food is top notch. Go try it!
I almost want to say Paadee has ruined Thai food for me because they have set the bar so high that any Thai place I've been to since having gone to Paadee, I'm always thinking "it's not as good as Paadee."
The Khao Soi with chicken wings was amazing, cocktails were great, vegetarian curry, papaya salad (the spice is worth it), all the way down to the house made chili oil. Top 3, if not top of my list for sure.
Disappointing, not flavorful, over-hyped.
Went here with friends last night, and the first thing I noticed was pieces of food stuck to the outside of our plates and cups from previous customers. One of our dishes came cold, along with the sticky rice. We also found pieces of hair on the food as well. Will not be coming back. This place needs to raise its sanitary standards.
Absolutely amazing Thai food and great service. They have lots of unique dishes and cool twists on classics. Every dish I've tried has been memorable and full of flavor. I've been 3 times so far and I can't get enough. There's a long wait for a table on Fridays and Saturdays but it's easy to get a table on Sundays.
