Thai Food in Spring, Texas
Anothai Cuisine is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic and flavorful Thai dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting ambiance that sets the tone for the meal.
The menu is expansive, catering to all preferences, including vegan and gluten-free options. The standout dishes for me were the Panang Curry, with its rich, creamy coconut base and perfectly balanced spices, and the Pad See Ew, featuring perfectly cooked noodles and fresh vegetables. The presentation of each dish was thoughtful, and the portions were generous.
Their attention to detail extends to the drinks menu as well—be sure to try their Thai iced tea, a sweet, refreshing complement to the spicier dishes.
What really sets Anothai apart is the balance of flavors in every dish. Whether you’re a fan of spicy or prefer milder tastes, they can tailor your meal to suit your palate. The service was exceptional, with staff eager to recommend dishes and explain ingredients.
For those who love exploring authentic Thai flavors or simply enjoy fresh, high-quality food, Anothai Cuisine is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!
Lovely halal Chinese place to eat around woodlands. Nicely located and ample space for family dine in. Love their tom yum and tom kha soups. Their chicken satay is the best entrée with amazing peanut sauce. We also ordered poorman noodles and basil fried rice. Both were little spicy, but awesome with flavours. Their Thai tea was ok. The owner cum staff is welcoming. Will go again!
** update- add orange chicken to the favourites
Love this place! I've been coming here since it first opened. Quality and taste and consistency of Thai food is the best in Houston. It's also halal! Staff is always very friendly. 100/10
Disclaimer: I will generally give 5 stars in my review if the place or product does not give me any unpleasant experience.
I was looking for some Halal food in the neighborhood that is neither middle eastern, Mediterranean nor Indian and a friend suggested Anothai. The place is bright, spacious and clean and easily spotted from Louetta Rd.
We were told by the server that the chicken and beef dishes are Halal but the duck dishes are not which was ok with us since we're not duck fans anyway.
The food were nice but didn't really give us a wow feeling. It was good authentic Thai dishes. The spicy catfish and the Thai chicken wings may have been a bit too salty for our taste but they were still good. We loved the beef pad kra Pow and the sweet sour chicken. The portions are big. One dish could probably be enough for two people. The food is served with steamed Jasmine rice. Kid sized dishes are also available.
If you want authentic Thai cuisine then Anothai is a good bet.
So, I really want to give this places 4.5 stars, but I chose to go with 5 (instead of 4). Anothai is one of those, “I’m craving Thai” spots, and you just go without any hesitation. Firstly, its halal. Second, its delicious. Third, its super authentic and the service is great. My husband and I go here almost every 2-3 weeks and we never get tired of it.
Our TOP fave dishes are: Thai Cashew Nut, Pad Kee Mao, Orange Chicken, and chicken wings (appetizer). No matter how many times we go there, we have to order at least one of those options.
The ONLY reason I would take half a star off my rating is their inconsistency with spice levels. I always prefer my food spicy, and they almost ALWAYS make it barely mild. Sometimes I have to call them and specifically remind them to keep the spice level in mind, especially when they make my husbands spicy when he prefers mild. I wish it only happened once or twice, but it happens wayyy too often. Obviously, it’s not a deal breaker in any way, and we always return just as excited to eat.
They have my favorite Pad Tahi in Texas. Not sure what the secret ingredient is, but only two Thai restaurants in TX have the same flavor profiles.
I had the Shumai, they use chicken shrimp instead of pork and shrimp. I did no like this combo, bc chicken is used the dumpling lacks flavor and is a bit dry.
But I just love the Pad Thai here so much that I will overlook the dumpling situation.
Thai Ice Tea is sweet and robust, more like a dessert, which I love.
I wish it was closer to my home. Going to Spring is so far.
They knock it out of the park every single time! I LOVE their Pad Thai, Tom Kha Gai soup, and Thai iced tea!!! I finally tried some of their Thai dumplings, and OMG YUM! And so filling! Eggrolls are great. Their peanut sauce is the best I've ever had, and you can order extra with your meal for an additional cost. You can order a small amount or a 14oz container for $7.00. That will last a while, and it's worth every. single. penny. If you love authentic curry dishes, this is your place too! If you haven't tried them, do yourself a favor and try them at least once. You can order through Uber Eats and get it delivered, or go pick it up.
Great place, good food, generous portions and reasonable prices.
Called to order food, and they didn't want to take my order and because they were short handed. Basically told me it would be 2 hours for pick up. Huh? What? Really?
Love this place. The red curry roasted duck is always delicious 😋
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Friendly wait staff. The best Tom Kha soup in Spring
Our family loves the food. Their red carry chicken and cashew nut chicken are the best. The inside could be more nicer.

Food was watery. Some of our orders were missed. We came to dine in Wednesday night dec 5. Food took way too long and everyone's food came at different times too. Food was really sweet didn't taste right. Meat in the noodleswas extremely chewy. Last time I'm going to this place.
Love this place! I've been coming here since it first opened. Quality and taste and consistency of Thai food is the best in Houston. It's also halal! Staff is always very friendly. 100/10
Me and my boyfriend always eat at this location and it’s always good! I wil always continue to come back they are so sweet
I enjoyed dining in this place! I had the potato puffs not sure the name right now. They were full of flavor. My nephew had beef fried rice and he loved it.
Great food and awesome customer service.
Thanks to Meghan & Rin.
I'm really behind on writing a review, but they are all awesome employees with amazing food! Very friendly and always consistent quality.
Excellent food and flavors. Can’t go wrong
Great food, horrible service.
Waitress asked my kids who spilled the water in an aggressive way and was rude the visit. My kids are well behaved, but kids spill things….
Wonderful food! I recommend the pad see ew
Some of the better Thai food I’ve had in a long while in Houston. It was very flavorful , the only thing not too good was the children’s teriyaki chicken I got for my son . But the pad Thai and Thai fried rice was very good . Service was ok . But they say if the service is not that good , you know the food will be 😭❤️
This is our place for Thai! In fact we moved up near Lake Conroe and still pick up a good sized to go order when in Houston to take home.
Anothai! More like ain't no Thai. The peanut sauce is some cheap packaged sauce that belongs in a cheap mall food court. No flavor! Not sure why I went back to this place. Maybe because it was so bad that I forgot that I was sorely disappointed the last time.
This was my Third trip with wife and kids
I love their Shrimp Mango plate with fried rice, Lemon grass soup and fresh crisp Spring rolls.
Have Halal Menu as well.
Check with staff
One of the best if not the best! Authentic Thai food. One of my favorite restaurant. Best part it’s Halal!!!
I honestly feel like you get great bang for your buck here and the food is delicious. It's hard to write a lot about it when you really just need to try it.
I lived by this place for almost 6 years before I finally tried it out, and I really feel like I've wasted so much time going to other Thai/East Asian restaurants when I had this gem so close by
Great variety. Really good food
Deliciosos , todos los alimentos preparados con mucha dedicación y de primera calidad , excelente servicio , muchas gracias disfrute mucho la comida
Everything was fantastic! Definitely going back.
I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the service. The food was decent, but the terrible attitude and behavior of the staff completely ruined my experience.
Great food great service the music and atmosphere is a perfect accompany
The orange chicken and garlic chili beef 😋 👌🏼
Excellent Thai food. Superb taste. Curries are incredible.
Excellent service and the food is exceptional. I had the beef pad Thai , Shrimp fried rice and Shrimp Tom Yum soup.
Absolutely delicious Thai food. My all time favorite there is the Pad Kee Mao veggie, always spot-on on the flavors, their Thai red curry, panang curry etc. are very delicious too. Best Thai food restaurant in the area.
This food is the best Thai food in the area! I've tried numerous others with similar menus, and Anothai is just another level with their flavor and freshness.
By far the best Thai restaurant in the Spring area! The food and service are great, I definitely recommended dining in for lunch or dinner. Also, they do a great job doing take out and the food is always on time. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Thank you Anothai!!
The food here is amazing! Anytime we come to Houston this is one of our first stops while we’re in town.
Quality food, beautiful presentation!
Food was good, medium hit kicks it up a notch. the meat however was hammered down so hard, that it just isn't flavorful. It's just the texture I guess.
yes, there is ample sauce and you could imagine you are getting your protein regimen for the day. Service was great and pleasant atmosphere to grab lunch.
Overall, the thai food is prob a 3.9/5 in my book but I live in a city with some of the best Thai food in the world so it's still pretty good and since this place is within walking distance of my residence, I eat food from here often. I highly recommend the basil fried rice.
Lovely halal Chinese place to eat around woodlands. Nicely located and ample space for family dine in. Love their tom yum and tom kha soups. First time ordering from here. The food was really good. We ordered for take-out fresh spring rolls, spicy drunken noodles with chicken, and spicy pad kra pao. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
This restaurant has a real taste.
Love the food
great service. enjoyed the green curry and the spicy red curry
I ordered peanut sauce chicken. It was sooooo good! I loved the food!
A solid dead Roach in Red Curry - explanation. We had pest control came in last night. Really??
The food here is an acquired taste. If you were to come here, it would be better to get the teriyaki and orange chicken. Most of the food here is extremely sweet and some of the food has too much ginger in it. I read the reviews before coming here and had the expectation that the food would taste great but after taking a bite of my food, pad kee mao, I could not eat any more. There was so much ginger in it. The stir fried noodles were too sweet too. I don't know why it has such a high rating but personally, I would rate this a 0.5 or 1 in everything. This cost us 80-100 dollars and it was not worth it. I don't recommend it!
Our family loves Thai food from here....Authentic, Fresh and delicious
Clean and well cooked meals to enjoy!!
Our 1st time was lunch today. Incredible food and great service. Attractive decore. We had the appetizer platter, tom gai ka soup, and the anothai fried rice. All were some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten. We will be back.
Our first visit here. The food is delicious. We shared a combination appetizer platter , Tom kha Kai soup and Anothai fried rice. Way too much food for 2, but we love leftovers! We will be back.
The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. Pad Thai noodles, eggplant and tofu, and green papaya salad are our favorites.
This was a great place to eat. The food was fantastic. The wait was a little long but worth the wait
Good food, service was a bit slow, they seemed understaffed
As always very good food and service. I have been going to this restaurant for 12 years. The quality of food and its taste has been consistent.
I definitely recommend this place.
Been here many times. Yellow curry is fantastic. Food is consistent and staff is always polite.
They have my favorite Pad Tahi in Texas. Not sure what the secret ingredient is, but only two Thai restaurants in TX have the same flavor profiles.

I wish it was closer to my home. Going to Spring is so far.
The Pad Thai was great and the customer service was friendly. I'd visit again. Though I do wish the roast Duck was a larger portion.
Oct 2, 2022 Update:
Ordered dinner - Old favorites, Chicken Panang and Chicken Pad Prik Khing. Food was ready promptly for pick up. Cost was reasonable ( $25 for both ) on the face of it. However, was disappointed when I opened the package - quantity had decreased and the Panang was watery - not what I recall from past orders. Pad Prik Khing was ok - again did not have the flavorful oomph it previously had. Overall, based on my experience and in my opinion, underwhelming! Sad - was our go-to Thai restaurant.
Steady as they come. Hadn’t patronized in several years due to previous indifferent experiences. Ordered delivery via Doordash...food arrived hot as desired, was tasty and wholesome. Pad Thai, Pad Prik Khing and Penang Curry. Worth repeating.
The food is terrible, I ordered no 4. The beef was dry and tasted rotten. Waiting time was also long. Disappointed!
A regular at Anothai. They offer halal food which is awesome. Food is generally well portioned and tasty!
So awful!!! This place was good Probably Ten years ago but now it is DISGUSTING!! I don’t recommend you going unless your plan is to leave hungry or sick.
So, I really want to give this places 4.5 stars, but I chose to go with 5 (instead of 4). Anothai is one of those, “I’m craving Thai” spots, and you just go without any hesitation. Amazing food
Food is good, place is very clean. Also they are BYOB so that saves you a lot of money if you like to drink with your meal.
Finally an ethnic restaurant around here that's not afraid to use spice! I ordered the Pad kee Mao (may or not have spelled that right), and it was good!!! Nice flavors, freshly prepared, good portions! I think I would opt for shrimp vs beef next time, it wasn't as tender as I'd like. I wasn't crazy about the fried spring rolls but the crab puffs were tasty. Hubby enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. I will happily order again and will try other things.
Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Prices ⭐⭐⭐
First time here and husband and I loved it. Understated, simple ambiance, nothing fancy, just really comfortable for some great food. The soup was amazing and the noodle plates we got were super flavorful. We’ll probably go up on the spice scale next time.
Had the flat noodles. Wasn't as spicy as I expected (had pepper on menu) but was good.
I've been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The orange chicken is some of the best in the city and the java fried rice as well as the Pad Thai are amazing. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is always clean, they also replace the table top paper "tablecloth" after each table leaves. Their iced coffee and various teas are also worth a try. Definitely give Anothai a try if you are in the area
I would not want anyone to experience this experience . There were only one waitress which should have been my red flag and no people. Smell is unbearable and everything is sweet . You won’t like it if you like spicy food. I tried my best to eat but couldn’t get over with the unbearable smell.
Everything on their menu is halal except the duck. Food is very good, amazing. I ordered the Panang Curry (curries come with one sticky rice bowl) with the "too spicy" spice level, and the spice was on point and perfect for me. The curry had a large portion for the amount of rice given, I asked for another rice bowl which was sufficient to finish the curry. Wait time isn't too long and it's not super busy (Friday evening). Service isn't the best but it didn't really matter to me all that much. It is a great place for kids since they have a kids menu and they used a paper covering as tablecloth to conveniently color on. Would definitely come back here again, great Thai food.
I called 35 minutes before the closing time listed on the website, and was told they are already closed. I mentioned they should probably change their timings listed, I was rudely told to complain to the owner. Not sure how I’m supposed to do that so I’m writing this review. Probably won’t try and eat here again.
Wow! This was great. When they say the Wild Curry is spicy, I can confirm...it is.
Absolutely delicious, dont forget to tell them spice level.
Never had a bad experience here! I always get takeout, usually the same meal every time (yellow curry with jasmine rice) and it is so so delicious and piping hot even after the 15-20 minute drive home.
Customer service has been great so far, and the food is usually always ready after about 10-15 minutes.
Food quality was terrible.
Great food.
The Pad See Ew is sublime and the atmosphere is calm and inviting.
Chicken Pad Thai and the best angel puffs ever!
Good food. Service was really good. Yall check it out when you get a chance.
Really good! Recommend the green curry and the papaya salad.
I enjoy eating from this restaurant. Food is always taste fresh, tasty and good Quality. Nice and polite staff. Restaurant was short staffed after Christmas and poor lady was struggling but she was still polite. It is one of very places where they serve halal food.
Delicious food with friendly wait staff. Quiet and clean atmosphere.
Delicious food! Nice size servings! (Peanut chicken, curry chicken pakoras, crab fried rice, basil fried rice, some kinda wonton wrapped shrimp). We normally get it delivered and it's awesome!
Today we went in. Server wasn't attentive... spent the whole time in kitchen. We had to ask for check twice, and then went to back counter to flag her down. If it was crazy busy, I would understand, but there was only 1 other table occupied and they left about 1/2 through our meal. I gave it 4 stars, because while the server was kinda off today, we've never had a problem before and the food is ALWAYS good.
Very Courteous service. Clean with sanitary table tops. (They change out a paper table mat. Food was good!
I love finding a business excuse to grab some Thai food at Anothai. Quiet place perfect for a business meeting and good food.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant. Great food, friendly staff at an affordable price
Came here with my mom a few weeks ago. I felt terrible because there was one 1 lady working. She did everything but cook the food. We waited 10 mins before she came to us and asked what we wanted. We hadn't even ordered drinks! We were there for almost an hour and thirty mins. Mind you, there was only 3-4 tables. Food was good I enjoyed the cashew chicken. Prices are a bit high for the amount of food your being given. Please try to find more employees!
Excellent food excellent service. While family favorite 😍
Like always, food is delicious.
I'm surprised I have still not reviewed this place considering how often we come here. It this is our go to spot for Thai food in Spring. Our favorite dishes from here are the Orange chicken and and the pad thai with chicken and a side of fried rice rice. We also love to get the chicken satay. We have gotten the cashew chicken as well and although it is good, it is just not something that I would normally get. The pad thai is my jam though!
Whenever we come getting thai tea is a must!
Did I mention that the chicken is halal?!
Delicious and authentic Thai food.
Horrible service. Decent food. High prices
This is usually my favorite place and best Thai food I’ve had but I just had spring rolls delivered that seemed like they were left out for a long time... lettuce turning black and wilted cilantro.. shrimp smelled rotten.
Just ok
Food is Okay. But SERVICE IS ALWAYS HORRIBLE. I'm done hoping the service gets better. Restaurant is always hot maybe 75-80°. I don't know how people eat there, I had to take may food to go 😅
We ordered a few appetizers for a snack (crab angels and fried spring rolls). Delicious!
One of my favorite local places to eat and favorite Thai in the area
I love their red curried chicken and roast duck. For a good app try the shrimp in a blanket.
Food is always good. I've only ordered takeout but restaurant always looks clean and staff is helpful
Bad service - lady was on phone and not providing service is. We were the only customers inside.
Always delicious and prompt.
I was not impressed at all. Pad thai was disgusting. Probably some of the worst pad thai I have ever had. I paid in card she went to go run my card and took an abnormal time bringing back my card. She walked into another room with it and did a ton of other things. Making it seem very sketchy. Definitely do not recommend using your card here.
Great place for Thai. I got the tom yum and wild curry. Wild curry can be pretty spicy. Real good meal and they give you plenty.
My favorite Thai restaurant..love their chicken chasewnut..can eat it daily
My wife loves their food. I am a regular customer.
Was very disappointed - ordered a dish w/ beef and scallops, the beef was tough & chewy and tasted like liver. Now I like beef liver, so that is not the problem ... problem is, why would beef slices taste of liver???
Hope I won't be ill tomorrow!
The chicken pad Thai was very good. 5/5
The food here is great but service somewhat low. At times ive had to go to the restaurant to place my order and find out its not busy. One thing i did notice is they ignore calls, that is why the phone just rings and rings where it seems they are closed but actually open. Overall food is great but service low.
Quality and friendly service is always amazing. On occasion, they may get your "to go" order wrong so definitely check it before you leave. That being said, the food is so great I continue to eat here even so.
Ordered and paid for a pick up order online and was told they don’t use the system I ordered on anymore. They told me I would need to reorder and pay for my food again and wait an additional 30-40 minutes to get the food that I already ordered and paid for. They also told me I would have to call the support on the system I ordered from to figure out if I could get a refund. They also did not give any sort of apology of what had happened and told me I shouldn’t have ordered online.
Wow. Very disappointed. This is one of our favorite places. Our food had absolutely NOOO flavor. The spring rolls were rubbery and not cooked all the way. Don’t know if the cook left or what, but this makes me sad about our family favorite Thai restaurant . 😌 it is New Year’s Day so I’m going to chalk it up people being hung over. Very dissatisfied with our food.
Restaurant is clean with social distancing tables. Food is quite good with large portions. One of the less spicy Thai places I've found. Menu could use pictures. Not easy to differentiate orders when buying for a group. Overall, was impressed. Parking is fairly easy. They were understaffed when I went but everything was smooth and went well. Minor changes could bump this up to 5 stars. If you only care about freshness and quality/taste of food, it's 5 stars. I'll definitely be back as will the people I introduced to Thai food today.
Noodles were flavorless, The beef was overcooked till it was rubbery. The curry was heavily watered down and barely had any coconut or heat.. The duck in the curry was decent. Service was nice when we called the ordervin.
One of the best Authentic Thai food I have ever had. Great service and great tasting food.
Definitely recommend
Always have had tasty food here, certainly one of the best Thai food options for those of us living in the Cypress/Tomball/Spring area.
Food was okay.
Customer service was great.
I work near this location and I occasionally order from here but I love their food. It is delicious and their service is great!
Food is amazing every time. We love tom kai gai, pad thai, specialty noodle dishes and curries. My husband and I go out to eat about once or twice per year and this is our go-to place.
The food here is delicious and very fresh. I got fresh spring rolls and spicy tom yum soup and both were delightful. I always forget this place is there, but will be making a point to frequent more often.
Food was ok but customer service needs to be better with your African American customers.
