Your Hawthorne neighborhood Thai bbq pork, crispy pork belly, rice and egg noodle joint.
The Food was very good! I had the curry noodles with Tofu (#22) and my friend had the Khao Moo Dang (#1). The flavors were wonderful and my curry was so comforting. My friend said the pork belly was good but needed to be seasoned a little better, but the sauce that was on the rice and the sausage was delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was very chill. They have indoor seating and two options for outdoor seating. I will definitely go back and try some other things on the menu. I also love that their vegetarian options are just as good flavorful as the non-vegetarian options.
Came here on whim and oh my god, it was so good. My highlight was the crispy pork belly in the house curry soup, it was so unbelievably flavourful. The soup was closer to a sauce and I’m not complaining because it accompanied the light noodles. 10/10 wish I could eat more and definitely worth the visit
My husband and I found this place by chance and now it’s a must every-time we’re in town. Although we haven’t tried everything, there hasn’t been one dish we’ve been disappointed with. It makes for a silent dinner because we’re eating/enjoying our meals the whole time. Haha. The bone broth alone is a day maker. The best part is the vibe and service is great. We will always come back.
This tiny spot with counter service is nothing if not consistent with a singular focus on pork. I tried a dish featuring 12-hour braised pork shoulder minced and stir fried with Thai basil and tossed with green onions. It came with unseasoned Chinese broccoli and tasty, thin egg noodles. The hard boiled eggs were cold, and I prefer my eggs gooey. The pork broth served on the side is a very nice touch.
Decided to try this place for dinner after passing by it on the street adjacent to our Airbnb for 3 days straight (it always looked busy and has cute decor). Went on New Year’s Day for dinner and it was still relatively busy but we were able to be seated right away. We ordered quickly and our food came out shortly thereafter. We got the curry noodles with tofu as well as the vegan khao moo dang. Both were delicious and super flavorful. The sauce for the vegan khao moo dang was unlike anything I’d ever had before, it was almost like a bbq soy sauce? It’s hard to explain but very unique. The broth in the curry noodles was delicious too, and we both left full and satisfied. I definitely recommend trying this place out! Thanks, Khao Moo Dang!
Stopped in from out of town because of the high recommendations online. My husband and I both ordered and sat outside to enjoy the weather. It was a cute and quite place to enjoy our lunch. we received out food quickly and were really happy with the quality. loved the spices and additives available on the table.
Excellent place! The crispy pork belly may not be served hot, but this is common in Thailand, and it is still crispy and delicious. The signature khao moo daeng is great and so is everything else I’ve tried. Really glad to have this place in Portland!
Great food, decent service...but good food. That's about it..Oh did I mention good food
Amazing amazing amazing flavors. Only recently discovered this place and it immediately became my favorite Thai restaurant.
I got the ba-mhee tom kha and a lychee hibiscus juice. Both were killer!! So much flavor, and the noodles were perfectly chewy. Definitely gave generous portions of meat, which is appreciated. The veggies were perfect too. I cannot wait to go back! If only they had more seating.
The Ba-Mhee Pi-Set Naam was delicious!
I have literally never, in my entire life, had a better curry. I’ve eaten so much curry dishes and none even come close to this. Furthermore, I dont really love pork belly but if the pork belly in this curry was the only thing I could eat for the rest of my days, I’d be fine with it. From now on I’ll measure my life in pre and post having this curry.
One of my favorite spots for curry noodles! I've taken four friends visiting Portland (all coming from big food cities) and they have told me it's the best curry noodles they've had. The broth is so rich. The crispy pork is amazing.
The cocktails and beer are also refreshing with the noodles. I've also had one of their signature rice dishes but I always return for the noodles.
Wow. The food is spot on. Perfect flavors. Good drinks. Small space so you feel like you're eating at a community table, which only adds to the vibe. Staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive.
Did I say the food is perfect? It is. Go. Eat. There.
Great neighborhood spot, lots of flavor in all of their dishes! Love this place e (:
Wow! This was the best meal I’ve had in Portland period. Especially at this price point. Seating is a little hard especially during peak time. But the food is definitely worth it.

This place was packed yet the food came out quick and hot. Will be back!
Delicious
Great food at very reasonable prices! Small space, but once you can get a table your food comes very quickly.
Always a great experience here-- the food is fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy. Recommend to PDX visitors and residents alike. Always solid and consistent!

Small restaurant, but packs a whole bunch of flavor! We try to visit the restaurant once a month because we cannot stay away.
Try their pickled jalapeños + chili flakes with everything!
Downside restaurant is small and not made for large parties.
Not pictured, but favorite dishes - #12. Ba Mhee Tom Kha and Cha-Yen.
Khao Moo Dang in Portland is a fantastic spot, especially on a cold, rainy day! We ordered Number 6 and Number 7, both of which were excellent choices. The dumplings were so delicious we had to get an extra side (Number 9).
The cocktails were amazing—my favorite was the Lychee Daiquiri—and the non-alcoholic drinks were just as good.
The place is small, the ordering process is simple: scan the QR code to access the menu, place your order at the counter, and they’ll bring the food to your table. Make sure to bus your own table afterward.

It’s clear the owners don’t care about 1 star reviews.
Take out. Crispy chicken with basil. Supposed to be best seller . Did take out. It’s so over fried it’s like jerky. Couldn’t eat half of it due to being so chewy crunchy like eating jerky. Then the salt was so intense. No sauce with rice. Just plain bad food. Could be good for a dog maybe. This was first and last time I will go in.
Incredible food plus gluten free options!
Came in with a big group so we grabbed their only big table there that would seat seven. The person working the cash register walked up to us and said “you need to order before you can get a table” so all but one of us stood up to order. We were about two parties away from the front of the line when the same worker took a number of someone who hadn’t finished ordering, put it on our table and said “this table is taken”. We did not stay to eat. Terrible customer service.
Wowie---Fast service and wonderful food.
I've been to Thailand 7 times --primarily in the North in the Chiang Mai area , and this food compares favorably with meals I've had in Thailand.
I have walked past Khao Moo Dang many times but this was my first visit.
We ordered 2 dishes , the Khao Moo Dang, and the steamed dumplings. Both came out in under 5 minutes.
We enjoyed both dishes. The dumplings have a soy/vinegar sauce and the Khao moo dang was served with a scoop of rice and a sweet chili sauce. Both were not spicy. There are chili sauces and pickled peppers? on all tables.
Prices reasonable.
Order at the counter.
Handicap doable
Parklet seating available.

This is so damn good!!! I ordered the first item on the menu - Khao moo dang which is their specialty. It reminded me of home (Southeast Asia) - the sauce, the way the meat is cooked, and the soup with the throughly soaked radish, and the condiments they provide on the side! So so good 😭😭😭 I’m so glad i walked past this place. The servers are so friendly so awesome too! They also let my dog hang out on the outside patio while we ate. Hope we will come by again
INCREDIBLE vegan food! High quality ingredients and divine flavors! The Tofu Khao Moo Dang was the best vegan dish I’ve had in a while - so deep and rich! Pure heaven.
My go-to for Thai take-out in Portland; some of the best Thai food in the city. I’ve tried most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The quality is excellent, portions large, and prices are super reasonable. The pork belly and pork shoulder are excellent; anything with broth is gonna be good as well. Once you go Dang nothing else will do!
Small, cozy space. Ordered the khao moo dang, steamed pork dumplings and the lychee hibiscus juice. The khao moo dang and juice were delicious. The steamed dumplings were just okay. Service was pretty quick once you ordered. Would definitely go back to try more of the menu. The khao moo dang had good flavor and was filling.
i’ve been here a few times, and make sure i come every time i’m in portland. it has always been great. the food is awesome, especially their pork belly. cute little place, love it.
My favorite Hawthorne area dining!
Finally made it here and I get the hype. I was a little disappointed that it was counter service at first but I quickly realized how quickly everything moves as a result. The turnover is very fast so even when it’s full you’ll get seated sooner or later.
The food and drinks were just fine, my only complaint is that the staff seemed miserable. Both the counter staff and the server/bussers, which is unfortunate. Probably the downside of churning through so many customers. I’m sure they make good money but do something to lessen the pressure on the workers then.
Read an article about the most takeout thai food in Portland. So we came with a rather high expectation. Was over hyped. Was ok. Don't like the sausage, bbq pok is ordinary, and the crispy is good. But it's not worth 28 mins drive. Bus your own table.
Amazing dishes. Large portions using a variety of spices and flavors. The curry pork is crispy, creamy, dreamy, spicy sweet.
Every time I eat here, it’s like it gets better and better when I didn’t think I could love it more than I already do. The quality of the ingredients, the flavor of each dish, and the presentation is beyond exceptional. We’ve dined in many times and ordered through Uber Eats. Even when it’s delivered, it doesn’t miss on quality.
Self Bussing, so I did no tip; I did plan cash. So I got my food after the to-go orders were completed. Got the 7.2, 11, 1. All of it was very sweet. We couldn’t finish our food. Food lacked umami, no complexity in the soup. Flavor showed up in the beginning, nothing in the middle and no lingering flavor. Went to Cubo across the street for dessert.
This is a regular spot for us. Just be aware that if you’re eating here, you should plan on eating pork because it’s almost the only thing on the menu in terms of protein. They are good at what they do and what they do is cook pigs, noodles and vegetables. The soup is great. The sauces are nice. We are always happy with our meals here. The staff are friendly. The service is always great. It’s a clean environment; clean bathrooms, usable, outdoor seating. It’s a well oiled taste machine.
I only take one star off for atmosphere because the seating is a little bit awkward with the long table right in the middle where people are coming and going and ordering. They have limited space so there aren’t a lot of options. I would just lay it out a little bit differently.
If you can’t make it to Thailand, this is a great taste of it here in Portland.
A hidden gem, recommended by my friend. This place is arguably some of the best food I've ever had in Portland. I had the number 6 soup version. It was amazing!
Love it, this is my first time when I try it. It was perfect 👌 but I might go again
Had high hopes for this place but it's not worth the hype. And they admitted to using large amounts of MSG!
Their protein options are limited: tofu, pork & egg.
I got the number 10 and the best part of the dish was the small bowl of broth. Everything else was subpar compared to all the other restaurants and options available in Portland. Also the meat was absolutely cold in my dish. My friend had a soup based dish and commented why is the meat cold? You would think they would serve piping hot broth but they don't it's like the purpose they give you cold food so you won't sit around.
The noodles were flavorless!
None of the reviews talk about the poor quality of the meat. There was so much fat on the pork that half the "meat"on my plate was inedible. It was gross to see all that white gelatinous fat stuck to tiny pieces of meat. They are clearly buying the cheapest quality of meat and passing it off by boasting that it's slow cooked for 12 hours.
I was here with a party of five so I looked at my friends food and their pork was the same. Full of fat. They could surely trim the fat off the pork a bit so it's edible and actual meat. But they don't do that.
I got the worst headache eating here called and asked them if they use MSG and she said yes we do we use it a lot. And my friend also got a headache! So if you're sensitive to that please know that they are using large amounts of MSG for flavoring in their bland food.
The indoor seating is limited. And the guy who was running this place on Sunday was rude & barking at any customer who took a seat. He was such a jerk, other customers in line were shook by his behavior.
If you have a party of four or larger you're gonna have a hard time finding indoor seating since this place is tiny.
Also if your business has a tipping that starts at 22% and goes up from there you should be busing the tables for us and not requiring us to do that.
To all the people saying this is amazing food maybe they are the same people that consider McDonald's gourmet burgers.
I love the food here. Their broth is divine. I just wish that I lived closer to eat here more often. #5 dry (so I can get the broth on the side) is my go to.
Dumpling Soup had great flavor and a generous portion of dumplings but was so salty it actually brought tears to my eyes. Staff were friendly but counter service at this price is silly. Felt bad for people who had to pay this much and sit in the "outdoor seating".
If you want the best food on Hawthorne, this is the spot. Aloha
Love this place am here every two weeks have never tried anything I didn't like
Very homey restaurant with heated patio seating outside. We ate here on our last day in Portland and I will be dreaming about their curry noodles and crispy pork belly until next time :') 10/10
Would not recommend waiting until your last day here unless you hate yourself
Did not live up to the hype. The pork belly was slightly cold and not melt in your mouth like I've had other places. Slightly chewy.
Been to Thailand, and this is very authentic
I love supporting local businesses and honestly don’t think there’s anything like Khao Moo Dang out there. I was first introduced to this restaurant by a friend not thinking anything of it. After trying their number 8 “House Curry Noodle” it was exquisite. In my opinion, it’s a good balance of carbs, veggies, protein, and spice! I also like adding Chinese sausage as an extra topping/protein with the House Curry Noodle. It already comes with an egg, yu choy, crispy pork belly, pork loin, and egg noodles; all submerged in this yummy khao soi curry. After having visited the first time I went back with my friends and I’ve taken others there as well and so far everyone I’ve taken has liked it! Although the House Curry Noodle is my favorite from there, they have a wide variety of delectable items on their menu.
Amazing food, cute and a little quirky atmosphere. I really like all the instructions everywhere so I don't have to wonder if I am supposed to buss my own table and where to go. The lychee hibiscus drink is amazing.
This was my first time here it was super worth it. The food was amazing. Seating can be limited.
AMAZING food. was pretty crowded when we got there but for good reason. this food is so flavorful and nourishing and at a reasonable price. i got the #12, bha mee tom kha. it was creamy but light and had a decent amount of veggies in it. the pork belly is crisped to perfection. i also got the lychee juice which was so delicious.
So delicious. So cozy. PERFECT. No notes.
This is the best curry noodles I’ve ever had! Coming from out of town, we definitely wanted to try some tasty unique eatery of Portland and this place delivered! I highly recommend the Ba-Mhee Tom-Kha! The creamy coconut base broth is to die for paired with the crispy pork belly and decadent egg noodles. It’s such a gem of a place, I wish this restaurant was in Phoenix!
I tried their eponymous dish, Khao Moo Dang, and was delighted. The flavors are exactly like you'd get in Thailand. Perfectly executed. The combination of dumplings, pork, egg noodles, and yu chow really hit the spot. Looks like this place gets crowded easily, but fortunately I managed to place my order and get served extremely quickly.
Relaxing & comfortable to have a meal alone, with family, or a close group of friends. Excellent food, lovely staff.
Very easy to eat. Not much flavor.I would say it's not the most authentic Thai restaurant but it's delicious.
All the food that we ordered was cool and not hot. Not sure if that's how they serve their food.
This place is amazing! If you haven’t had the pleasure of eating here yet, you’re truly missing out! The food is exceptional, the menu is simple to navigate, the ambiance is inviting, and the service is impressively fast!
Love the foods, definitely my favorite!!! Will recommend this place to anyone who loves noodles or Asian food. Unfortunately it's difficult to find parking.
The Khao Moo Dang (pork and tofu) were both great. Cute outdoor seating and nice service. The coke came in a chilled glass with ice
#8 is bomb. Love this place.
We love this place! Super quick, great vibes, good price, and it always hits the spot. Somehow everything on the menu is comfort food.
2024/10/05:
Great!
Waiter made me get up from my table after I had already been sitting and gave it to a white couple. Along with this, I am fully vegetarian and was told there were no rice noodles to substitute, despite it being on the menu.
Would not recommend if you are a person of color (whether you’re Asian or not) as you will be poorly treated.
The best broth you’ve ever had!!
Also the khao moo dang sauce over the garlic rice is fire!!
Stopped in from out of town because of the high recommendations online. My husband and I both ordered and sat outside to enjoy the weather. It was a cute and quite place to enjoy our lunch. we received out food quickly and were really happy with the quality. loved the spices and additives available on the table.
GREAT food! Seating is both inside and out You bust your own tables but they're very helpful.
Great food here! Glad I listened to the people who referred me here off of Reddit! It was really busy when we arrived but was able to get a seat. Food came out in about 8 minutes and we scarfed it down.
Surprised to find the food here is not flavorful at all, there are tons of better south Asian food in Portland.
it’s a pay at the counter and bus your own table but the 20% tip is still expected kinda place.
Absolutely delicious! 100% a must-try if you're around town.
Got the signature dish, the khao moo dang and they do not skimp on the meat and rice. This is a value meal for the price! Let's break it down:
- Pork was crispy (a bit dry tbh, but not incredibly bad).
- The chau siu was excellent--slightly sweet, melted in your mouth.
- The sausage was good!
- The sauce is reaaaally subtle. It's slightly sweet & sour and pairs really well with the rice, but gets completely overpowered by the meat. Nonetheless, it marries the components of the dish together.
Overall, really enjoyed my meal, and I'm definitely coming back to try out other entrees.
After being asked to be the computer data entry person at the ramen house down the street, we decided against that mess and all came here. Place never disappoints. Food in minutes flat (actually right behind us with daiquiris after ordering). Cutest happiest staff and twinkle lights on the patio. Only downside side is that it's been discovered, lol. Very hip crowd.
This used to be one of my favorite because of their excellent fried pork belly. Today I brought my family of 4 to visit during lunch. Not only my wife and my 2 toddlers were being asked to leave the table because we don't have a table number. Also, they asked for minimum 18% gratuity with absolutely no (poor) service. Not only I have to line up to order. We had to bus our own table too. This place is popular for their food but definitely not recommend to dine in.
The curry noodles have a flavorful broth and good pork belly, though I wish they would have used thicker noodles instead. My friend ordered the same dish and would have preferred for it to be more sour with pickled ingredients. They do offer condiments to help with customization to flavor the dish to your liking at least. They have an alternative menu to what you'd typically expect at local Thai restaurants, but that allows for more experimentation and trying something new. I am not a fan of the restaurant itself as it's small and crowded, not the cleanest, but it has all amenities needed if you can find space. Service is pretty average and will get you your dish when needed though I'm personally not a fan of ordering through waiting in line at the front which can take a while during busy times.
Ordered the #1, and a lychee juice. The restaurant seemed to be quite busy w take out, as the service was verrrryyy slow. the pork had a nice crispy edge, fatty and meaty. The sauce was thick. The greens I was grateful for-the broth lacked flavor. Khao Moo is reasonably priced and has a big variety of dishes, + indoor and outdoor seating, a bonus!
Dish was extremely well made, staff were working hard behind the scenes! I wished there was a bit more crispy pork given the amount of rice. High volume restaurant in a tight space.
Overall pretty tasty! I think going back I would have gone for the curry noodles as I felt the standard bone broth lacked a little bit of flavor. But still have a very tasty looking menu and a nice little operation going on.
It is definitely a tight space so while people do cycle through don’t expect there to be a ton of seating inside.
AMAZING! My friends and I stopped by on a trip from California and we randomly decided on this spot over all the other Thai places around here. Gosh we were so flabbergasted by the quality of the food. Taste was 10/10, servers were very helpful and the place is super cute. Food is so reasonably priced too
My favorite restaurant in Portland, I love their soups.
We went on July 27th for dinner at roughly 6 o’clock I believe it was. I have NEVER left more disappointed in service than I have on that day.
There was a young man (looked like he was part of the family business) serving all the customers and we had asked for a fork as we were sitting outside and our food had just arrived. His response was “the forks are inside, you can just go get one yourself”. Okay? I’m paying almost 50 dollars for a meal for 2 bud, you can bring me the fork as you are going in and out. That wasn’t even the worst part for me. There was an elderly couple sitting next to us outside who also wanted a fork and his response was the same. WHERE IS YOUR RESPECT? These older folks had trouble walking are you seriously going to tell them to walk in and go get their own fork? Go get them a dang fork! They’re paying your salary pal, not the other way around.
That was problem number 1 and 2. Problem number 3 was the fact that the same young man came by as we were eating and tried taking our spice tray away as we were using it. Dude? We literally have the dang container open in front of us using it. Have some dang curtesy and ask politely to make sure we are done using it before you just try snatching it away.
I just cannot believe the unprofessionalism that happened that day. I have been here about 6 times now. I enjoy the food, I think it’s good, but I will never come back and will happily let folks know what sort of business they are supporting when they suggest eating here. You guys have lost my business, my family’s business, and any friends that are close to us. That was a darn embarrassing day for us.
Do better.
the food at Khao Moo Dang was soooo delicious!! my boyfriend ordered the House Curry Noodle and I got the Ba-Mhee Tom-Kha. Truly wished I lived closer so I could try more from their menu! Also special shout out to the condiments and yummy hot sauces available at each table 🤤
Great service, great food, cute spot.
.
Stunning amazing and delicious food
Truly the best soup I have ever had
Very good food!
Delicious! The crispy pork belly was so good. I ordered the #1 which comes with a bit of everything. The rice is cooked perfectly and the sauce they use was perfect. If you’re extra hungry I recommend grabbing the dumplings as well. They also have some really tasty cocktails. Will be going back for sure!

好吃😋
Noodles with crispy pork and char siu, super good. Fusion of Thai and a bit of Hong Kong. We got the tum yum soup noodle & the dried pork noodle. Both really good, will come back again. The store is limited in seatings.
Some of the best Thai food I've had in a good while. I had their speciality, which shares its name with the restaurant, and it was incredibly tasty. Every element: the delicious roast pork, the sumptuous sauce, the crunchy and fatty pork crackling, the aniseed infused Chinese sausage, the pickled ginger... Mouth watering. Great service as well. I'm only in town for 2 more weeks and I want to eat everything on their menu.
Fantastic place with awesome service. These guys are doing it right. I have eaten many plates of Khao moo dang in Thailand, and these guys nail it. Totally authentic. The flavours took me right back to being in Thailand.
The food was good. It's not a regular Thai food, though. I would like to have more space inside the restaurant.
Muy rica comida thailandesa, agradable ambiente y excelente ubicación
We loved the food ! Big portions , amazing staff !
Davan , the owner , is so helpful , generous and lovely . Highly recommend. We had a bunch of delicious pad Thai , pad see ew & geeen curry … everything was so good !
I've been ordering the house curry noodles like once a month for years and it's still one of the best things I've ever eaten. One of this restaurant's best qualities is the consistency. I have never once had a bad meal here, never even had a meh meal, dine in or to go. The food has always been perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced, and exactly what I expect - EVERY TIME. It's one of those "hell yeah" spots for me, I need zero convincing to be in the mood for this place.
Overall good. The highlights: The Crispy pork belly was amazing, the condiment tray was super dialed and the side broth was a great palate cleanser. The one downside the main dish is the sauce, which is to say it's not bad I just wished it had more concentrated flavor.edit: came back 4 years later. They are very popular now. Food is still good, condiment trays help dial in what spice level you want.
I was visiting my son who moved to Portland area about a month ago and we are so happy we found this place. It seems so authentic and a little different from the usual Thai restaurants. I tried Dumpling Soup with Tom-Yum broth and it was so delicious. My son tried Ba-Mhee Tom-Kha (egg noodles with coconut milk broth) and he loved it. He was so impressed and he was so sure to become a regular. I will certainly go back the next time I visit.
Pork belly BBQ is super crispy and it’s worth visiting here just for that. A little more variety of menu would have been great, as most items were around 2 kinds of pork meats, just different carb choice (rice vs noodle) and different broth/sauce.
I got their Bah-Me Tom Yum Naam. I am in LOVE. Everything was SO flavorful, and the pork belly was crisp and juicy... iust... *chefs kiss*
For $17, they give you a very generous portion of food. I was super hungry and couldn't finish some of the broth at the end.
I will absolutely be back!
Absolutely fantastic, the dumpling soup with the Tom-Yum broth was unreal. And of course the side of crispy pork belly!
Um YUM! Had a #10 noodles, succulent pork, delicious broth! Oh my! Also had a lychee mango daiquiri,.,..yes please! Real deal...hip hop beats in the background ....fire....
A family favorite! We eat here several time a month.
Pretty good, sauce flavor overwhelms everything else though. Great pork belly
I feel bad for people that don’t know about Khao Moo Dang and how delicious it is. Tragic really.
Awesome Thai street food classics in a cozy setting! Really good food and nice people. Grab lunch here when you can!
Not a huge Thai guy but enjoyed crispy pork.
Doesn't have the generic Thai food that is uniquitous. We liked the flavors a lot. It's a smallish place.
Totally unexpected in a good way, food was delish and is different from the usual Thai cuisine around town. Their take on the dishes is wonderfully crafted yet simple but super tasty. Dining area available inside and there is an outdoor seating too. Casual place where you can relax and enjoy their wonderfully prepared cuisine.
Parking is via street parking.
Was so disappointed needed to write a review. I’ve never been treated so poorly by any restaurant or server. I love the food but now I question if I will come back. The male server took my order at the counter. I asked for #2 and asked for the soup on the side. I said it several times because he asked me a couple times but even said same thing as my girlfriend. I also ordered the khao moo dang sauce on the side which makes it similar to #1 except with the garlic rice. When the food arrived at the table and he put a bowl of soup in front of me. I let him know that the order was incorrect. He told me I can go up and pay for another. I told him I was very clear on wanting the soup on the side and it was incorrect but he just sat there arguing with me. It got to the point where my girlfriend was embarrassed so she just took the wrong one because he wouldn’t stop arguing. This meal was $50 so would have expected better customer service.
HIGHLY recommend trying this Thai place. It is one of the hidden gems in Portland that you must visit at least one in your lifetime. The food is amazing! I got number #6.1 (dry version) on my first visit and #7.1 (dry version) on my second visit and I absolutely enjoyed both of these dishes. Warning: 7.1 dish is quite spicy for my comfort level but it's so good! Crispy pork is to die for and their version of Chinese sausage is quite sweet for my taste but still great. I would also recommend getting lychee hibiscus tea for your drink. Service is very quick and friendly. You have to bus your own table after you finish your meal. The place is quite small but it was able to accommodate a big party of 6 when I went. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Portland. This restaurant really need to open a branch in LA. I think they would become an instant hit.
I got diarrhea few hours after dining in here.
After eating ,both of us have diarrhea and stomach
