I’ve been to A LOT of ACYE Sushi Places and especially all of the notable ones in Queens NYC. Sushi Village (OG SPOT), River (Bayside / Flushing) and Akino (TOP TIER in Elmhurst) but the spot I never noticed before Zen on Parsons Blvd was just MID at best. On my 10 scale it gets a 6/10.
Dinner was $32.99 with 18% Gratuity Automatically Added.
Appetizer Menu: There were about 30 options here ranging from Dumplings to Habachi Options. The Shrimp Tempura they used more beer batter kind of fry rather than your traditional lighter tempura batter. I’m not a tempura snobb but when AYCE places don’t at least use traditional tempura batter, it’s minus points there.
Sashimi: About 10 kinds of sashimi options you can pick. I got Red Snapper, Salmon, White Tuna, Yellowtail and Tamago. Everything was Mid for the most part. The best ones to me were the Red Snapper and the Salmon. The pieces were fairly large which can either be a good or bad thing.
Sushi: they had about 10 or so kinds of Special Rolls. I tried the Salmon King one and it was OK. Salmon with Avocado on top with Kani inside. They had a good amount of regular Maki Rolls but no option to choose Hand Rolls. Overall the rolls were OK. They packed A LOT of Rice which deducted a few points here.
Overall again it was just MID. There are much better AYCE Sushi spots in Queens. Definitely check out Akino for the top tier option. Amazing extensive menu. Very fresh and excellent rice portions. Double the amount of appetizer and sushi options.
Zen offers an extraordinary dining experience that flawlessly combines exquisite flavors and a serene ambiance. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully designed interior that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The menu is a masterful blend of Asian fusion, offering a diverse selection of dishes that cater to a variety of palates. Every dish is a culinary masterpiece, meticulously prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sushi is exceptionally fresh, with each piece showcasing the skill and artistry of the chefs. The innovative fusion dishes, like the spicy tuna tartare and the miso-glazed black cod, are bursting with flavor and creativity.
The service at Zen Fusion Cuisine is impeccable. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. They are always ready to offer recommendations and accommodate special requests with a smile.
In addition to the outstanding food and service, the atmosphere is tranquil and inviting. The elegant decor, soft lighting, and soothing background music create the perfect setting for a relaxed meal, whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion.
Zen Fusion Cuisine is truly a gem in Fresh Meadows. It excels in every aspect, from the exceptional food and top-notch service to the peaceful ambiance. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful and sophisticated dining experience.
Definitely a great all you can eat place, just make sure you're ready to do all you can eat for 90 mins! So many great options from land to sea, Sushi and hibachi, flavor just really good my favorite was the salmon from both AYCE options and the Sake is also great here too! Definitely check em out in Queens and the video out on IG @JadaExploresAll!
Ordered a tray of Sushi to go and it was delicious! The tempura rolls were sweet and crunchy, and the sashimi was fresh. I don’t really understand where all these negative reviews are coming from, but my family really enjoyed this tray. Furthermore, the staff was really nice and I loved the ambiance when I picked up my food.
食物很好吃
Great food, service and prices
Foods are delicious and great
Food is great almost too nice to eat. Presentation and staff are fantastic.

Se come bien
food was great. we had the all u can eat and all I have to say is that everything was very well done. great service, great food, and the inner decor was beautiful.
The staff are kind. Food tastes decent with a wide variety of foods. My favorite is cooked eel sashimi. They also serve special rolls on the buffet menu.
Mam this place has really good sushi. I always order from the lunch menu. The nigiri is fresh and tasty, and always a pleasure.
Great authentic food, would definitely come back again. Tried a lot of dishes on the menu everything was high quality and tasty.
Visited Zen for their AYCE sushi and everything was amazing! The fish was super fresh, the service was friendly, and everything is CLEAN! Highly recommend coming for good eats. Bring a friend and come hungry!!!!

Both of us would like to recommend this place. Their sashimi is very fresh and the portions are generous. Service is fairly quick. Very good Salmon avocado we love.

Zen Fusion is an absolute gem! Recently attended a private party here, and it exceeded all my expectations. Food tasted wonderful and the service was great as well! Can't wait to come again!

Fabulous food, friendly staff, and is reasonably priced. It's definitely a place I would recommend.
This place is delicious
I used to love this place and the food was always delicious but recently they failed their health inspection and I did not notice before eating there, tragically it gave me food poisoning and I was sick for two days
这边的餐多种多样!有日本料理!自助餐!泰式餐!铁板!
Súper delicioso y lo mejor all you can eat
The sushi here is always fresh and delicious (they have great special rolls). Miraculously it’s never packed & the staff is always polite and attentive.
First time here with my friend, the food is so delicious and staff was awesome, will be back soon.
Best dinner and nicest staff
This is a great restaurant in queens. We love the food and the attentive staff. The sushi is delicious as the drinks. Parking is easy and they have a great all you can eat buffet made to order. The staff again is very sweet and make the experience better. A must try if you're in Kew Gardens hills.
Great service and quality of the food was so good . Will come back soon !
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend!
My first impression of this restaurant was quite favorable. I liked the way it was laid out and decorated. I thought the Japanese wall paper was very cool, the bamboo stalks in the middle of the restaurant was a nice touch, and I especially liked the booths with the comfy pillows.
As soon as we sat down, we asked if we could order from the lunch specials listed on the menu. We weren’t sure if this was available on weekends and we were so happy when the waiter said yes. Unfortunately, the waiter came back and told us that she made a mistake and it wasn't available. Okay, fine. Everyone makes mistakes and the waiter was very apologetic.
We ended up ordering the kani salad, shumai, eel avocado roll, salmon avocado roll, Thai spring roll, Zen House fried rice and chicken pad Thai. The pad Thai was good. It had a nice spicy kick to it. Both the eel avocado and salmon avocado roll tasted fresh. The kani salad was smaller than I was expecting but it tasted good. I liked the crunchy topping on it. The Thai spring roll was a bit of a disappointment. It looked like the ones you can get at your local Chinese joint, albeit not as oily and with bigger shrimps. Overall, I thought the food was solid. It didn’t completely bowl me over but it was good.
I thought the service could have been better. The staff were all very friendly and attentive but clearly not all of them were trained. We were given the wrong info about the lunch specials, the ingredients in the Zen House fried rice and the Yelp offer for free ice cream. If you check-in on your Yelp app, you get a free scoop of ice cream. My friend and I asked if we could both redeem this offer and get a scoop of ice cream each. The waiter said yes and had us redeem the offer on our phones in front of her. She came back a few minutes later and apologized saying she made a mistake. Okay, again it’s not a big deal but I thought it was kind of petty of them not to honor it and give us both the ice cream. Such a small thing but it kind of annoys me when I think about it.
Don’t ever try their buffet, all they use is bad quality fish totally not worth it
The food good tested!
Ordered dinner, the shrimp was over cooked that it was so chewy. The fried rice in my meal was slimy and had a weird taste . I didn’t eat the food I sent it right back and ontop of it nothing was done about it when I told the male worker the food didn’t taste good that I didn’t want it . I also ordered salmon, it was the worse choice I made it ranked. Neither was that touched it went right back how it came . I would not recommend this place at all. The place is cozy and nice but as far as the food it’s a no.
Very good food
The slowest food service in my life, whether pick up or delivery. Not a welcoming bipoc / queer venue, and the attitudes of the workers are bitter sweet despite the allure of luxury. Same goes for the salad bar next door.
👍
Delicioso, súper saludable y buenos precios ❤️
The waitress's daughter threw a water balloon at my head as I was dining here. Super weird, super unprofessional. Won't be returning
Wonderful food and service Zen dishes
Worst Drunken Noodle I have every had in my like, Everything else average.
Food was good, but the service wasn't good!
Worst experience here, worst service, worst quality of food, workers were so disrespectful. Got my order wrong and didn’t take it back and over charged me when i didn’t even eat the roll. I will never come back here again. I DONT recommend this place to anyone!
Just finished a chicken HIBACHI fried rice I ordered to go and it's the worst I'll never spend my money in this place again...
The food was amazing. Tasty and looked good. But a little girl a family member of someone associated with the restaurant was coughing and walking all over the place. She literally was coughing on us. She is a child I get that. But her guardians were not doing a good job. And that added concern how hygienic they are handling their food inside.
Loved the ambience, & see ice 5 years ago & yesterday. The food, pad thai, however, could have had more flavor.
I will definitely be going back.
Based on the location I did not think this was going to be much to write about but boy was I wrong. The decor inside is lively and seems like a great spot to get dinner (I got lunch). The food was extremely fresh and was delicious. I would definitely go there again and would be tempted to go out of my way to get there if need be.
Located near the corner of Union Turnpike and Parsons Blvd. in Fresh Meadows, Zen Fusion is the perfect lunch spot for the nearby Saint John's University crowd. There is something for every taste. The sushi is terrific, including their original "salmon pizza", which is much more interesting than standard salmon sushi or sashimi. If you like tempura sushi dishes, this is your place. The shrimp tempura is particularly good and leaves you wanting more. And why not? The lunch prices are very reasonable, and the environment is modern, and comfortable. If your date is not a fan of sushi, fear not. The menu is extensive, full of traditional mandarin cuisine and thai dishes. You won't be disappointed.
very nice place and good service
Worst restaurant ever. Food is not fresh you can obviously smell overnight scent. There’s no service at all. Don’t come
Zen fusion the food is good and fresh my problem with this restaurant is they are EXTREMELY cheap with their spicy Mayo as if it was made of gold instead
Sriracha and mayonnaise ….I bought 4 rolls and I requested Spicy Mayo and of course it wasn’t in the bag…Zen fusion please stop this petty behavior before you have no customers left.
The food was cold.
Decent food, but HORRIBLE service and staff are very unprofessional. Every time I go to pick up my order, there's never anyone up front at the host station and Im forced to wait a long time for someone until they finally realize that I'm waiting for assistance. Today I tried going there for lunch, and again no one was at the host station. There was a few staff who were at one table eating and one asked if I wanted to order, I said yes. They immediately started arguing in another language about which one of them was going to take my order. I stood there quietly for a few minutes waiting for help and when I tried signaling the guy, who asked if I wanted to order, he just shouted towards the back for someone to come. No one ever came to assist me and I just walked out. If this is how they behave in front of the customer then I shutter to think what goes on in the behind the scenes in the kitchen.
The restaurant is clean. The food is great. The price is reasonable and has great service. I will come again.
A very aesthetic place with a great selection, good food, good prices, and great service! A real "hidden gem".
I don’t know how this place has good reviews. The pad thai wasn’t edible , it tasted like rubber.
I ordered the Sushi for 2, Dancing Eel Roll, Out of Control Roll and the Chicken Satay skewers for a last-minute Valentines surprise dinner for my wife. While the order was ready for pick up within 20 minutes (whereas other Sushi restaurants nearby were super busy and couldn’t fulfill any orders within a 2 hour window,) this would be the only positive aspect of the ZEN experience.
The most disappointing part aside from the dry, rubbery chicken skewers, was the Sushi for 2 platter. The presentation was typical and offered nothing special and that’s ok, but the sushi needs to convey that they know what they’re doing. In NYC, you have your authentic Japanese sushi chefs and then you have your non-Japanese employees whose job is to put fish on top of rice and call it sushi. Zen is of the latter variety. The RICE WAS AT LEAST A DAY OLD. As Asians, biting down into hard rice is an absolutely horrible experience. Zen served us crunchy rice rolled underneath pieces of fish and tried to pass it off as “Sushi.” While the other two rolls were probably made to order and tasted alright, the sushi platter was probably pre-made since the order was ready within 20 minutes. That is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I would never go back here again and will make sure to warn others not to go either. It was really a terrible experience overall but we stayed positive and enjoyed dessert to salvage the dinner.
I ordered party plater sushi. Sushi rolls tast terrible, rice not cooked and quality of rice isn't good not a sushi rice. I don’t know about other food they serve but it is not a place for sushi.
A wonderful restaurant. Atmosphere is so nice. Food is amazing. Service is very good.
The restaurant service is very good, the food is delicious, there is a combination of Chinese and Japanese food
Delicious food will come again!
I just came here with my family. The place has a really cute aesthetic but the food was not flavorful. And the portion sizes were small. The sizzling beef tasted really good tho. But do not try the Thai tea
A lot could be improved here. Everything was average. Staff wasn't too attentive despite being 1 of 2 tables occupied. The food was below average, the drink menu was limited on our visit. The prices were acceptable but in my opinion overpriced. The ambiance was a bit dull. Idk if I'd visit again.
This place is AMAZING! The food was great I've never had salmon skin salad and it won't be the last. Staff was courteous and friendly. This place is well worth the trip regardless of what borough you live in. You won't be disappointed 😌
Sushi lovers, you won't be disappointed!
Although John is no longer around food and service still great. I am truly amazed on how well the menu has grown. I would strongly recommend.
My go-to for sushi sit down quick meal with the wife and their menu is all ok 👍👍
Nice atmosphere, servers seem to be family.
Locally owned and operated support!
I like this place, I live across the street 🤗
Food is great .... Love me some Thai Food , very decorative, tasty and vibrant . Waiters are very attentive and very helpful ... definitely a must try if your in the neighborhood .... try the Kimchi 👌🔥🔥
No kids menu
They offer a variety of food on their menu. I ordered thai angel noodles with chicken, miso soup, and shumai for take out and had to wait about 15 mins which is alright. Thai angel noodles had a slight spicy kick to it and overall it tasted fine and the portion was big enough for one person. Shumai dumplings with shrimp came 6 in the order and they were quite smaller than I was expecting. The prices are really reasonable as compared to other sushi/thai spots I know and omg a small miso soup was only like 2$ and the portion was huge. Overall, its a decent spot and I’d like to try other stuff on their menu.
My kids have been going to kids spot salon for a while now. My son loves going so he can get his fresh cut and have some color sprayed on. My daughter loves getting pampered there as well. My kids go with an idea from what they have seen somewhere and walk out of the salon excited. It's a Kool spot.
Green tea
Fried calamari
Red curry chicken with white sauce
Salad with delicious peanut dressing
Sushi
Miso soup
And regular soup
All of these dishes were spectacular 🙌... my cousin and I try to eat at different places in the city, but this one is closer to our homes in queens. We do not regret eating here ever.
Swing by to this restaurant whenever you can, it's worth it.
Food is good. Service wasn't well. Brought the check before we were done. Store was not busy at all.
I CAME WITH MY FRIENDS FEW DAYS AGO!!!
This place made me speechless!
I came here for dinner and literally the freshest seafood I've had...
I always get their Thai iced tea.. it's dangerously good. The price is very average for any high end sushi place, but I'd say you are getting more than you are paying for!.
Found hair in the food. Never ordering again from this place.
The fish for sushi and sashimi are very fresh! The place is so clean and the atmosphere is so wonderful!
Amazing food. Great service
I love this place!😊
Kitchen is amazing !🤩
The service is very, very good 👍👍👍
I would recommend 10/10😊😇
I love Zen and have been here many times. Small, very clubby feel, delicious food and great prices. Highly recomended
This place has a sanitary inspection grade of C. gross!!!!!
I ordered for the first time last week. The deliveryman was so kind! My only complaint is that my Pad Thai was so dry, and it was delivered within MINUTES of me placing the order! I have specific request because I am expecting, and they were all met except for the dryness
I've been customer here for years. Food and service is still great. FYI, they only accept Apple Pay.
Ate here before and the food was really good decided to go yesterday and get a too go order and it was horrible $25 in the trash
Food was good, but the service was more then bit sketchy on my last visit, understandably due to COVID-19.
We tried Thai dishes. My wife had the Thai seafood platter which is delicious and reasonably priced ($19) for good quantity of shrimp, clams, squid etc. I ordered lunch special Thai Vegetable Fried Rice. Very tasty and copious for a very reasonable $7.50! Decor is a cut above the usual for neighborhood places like this in this price range. Service was attentive. Will go back to try Japanese choices in this fusion restaurant
On a scale from 1-5, the food was pretty good! I'd say a 3.5 or 4
1) I liked the Spicy Tuna roll, but the fact that they don't have a roll combo specials like most restaurants (2 or 3 rolls for a specific price) is silly.
2) The Rock Shrimp Tempura was pretty good, as well as the Hibachi Shrimp Dinner.
We got a lot more, so it'd be time-consuming to rate everything. It was all good!
The portions, however, are very small. We spent about $95 and by the end of our "meals", we were all hungry. We usually go to Futigi, which is a higher quality restaurant, and even there, the portions are much bigger for the same price. Better quality for sure.
For what I got at Zen, that was worth maybe $65, not $90+. You can find a lot better for a bit cheaper, with larger and more filling portions.
We did order in, however, but when I looked at pictures of the restaurant, it looked beautiful!
Unfortunately, the portions are pretty small so we won't be going back there, especially with the prices, as they don't match the portion value. Nothing was bad, though, which is nice.
Would I recommend it? Sure. I love the variety of food offered here.
So so.
The Japanese food here is great, the Thai could be better. The vegetable black noodle had a bit of a bland flavor to the noodles. The mango chicken was decent.
I love it here.. the food is good but it's too small portions
Delicious!!
It has a C in Sanitation. I can now see why.
E x c e l l e n t ! !
Ok place, not the best sushi bar in town
Ordered a lunch special: pineapple fried rice with chicken and miso soup. Miso soup was ok. The rice was the color of that single star in my review, it was as far as could be from thai pineapple fried rice - tasteless and dry, smelled like plastic container it was put in.5
The decor in this restaurant is really nice! It's also a lot bigger than I thought. The skylights in the ceiling were big and brought in a lot of natural light. The servers were nice and very accommodating. The food was great as well.
The service and food was awesome.
I ordered Thai Pineapple fried rice and it tasted nothing like Thai food. It was horrible. Tasted like chinese fried rice with tiny pieces of pineapples, it was disgusting. Also, I ordered the lunch special and I got no appetizer.
This place is the one I always prefer. I go to many restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The team is very warm and the food they cook is so fresh and tasty. I never decline to have a nice meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.
This place is a gem. Their food is really flavor full, tasty and fresh.
Picture this....Its 7pm on a Thursday evening. The restaurant had only 2 patrons in it.Our party of 3 African American women requested to sit at a booth,in order to feel comfortable. We were told that the booth was only for parties of 5 or 6 people. One of the three large booths was occupied by 2 adults and a baby.Last time I checked that was a total of 3 people occupying the booth. The waitress came to seat us.She was helpful and tried to accomodate our request. At that point, the manager ran towards us and said something in their language to the waitress
Using a scolding tone.He reitterated the policy of 5 or 6 people for a booth,to us.We took exception to the tone of his voice. He told us we could not sit there,in an empty restaurant. At this point we told him that we would go elsewhere. He then replied,Good, thats your choice! We left feeling somekindofway. We have frequented this restaurant on numerous occaisions, bought friends with us,and recommended it highly. We will not be returning at all. There is no need to have comfort accommodation issues when you want to relax and enjoy a good meal.we enjoyed a fabulous meal at Kin'd thai restaurant on Union Tpke.Great food, great service and most comfortable.Never Zen again!
The food is good. The people are friendly. Its never really crowded when I've been there, and that's a great feature.
Aat Zen you will feel very welcome by their friendly staff. Food taste good and prices are acceptable. Best Thai in the area.
The food is delicious, fresh tasting, and clean place. I love how they give real chopsticks! The space is cute and cozy. Def coming back again!
Love it
Love it
Great food at great price
Tasty authentic Asian Fusion dishes. Great Ambience, incredibly reasonable prices. Eat in or take out definitely worth the trip!
Food is good. The place is clean and staff is friendly.
