Locally Authentic Thai Food
The food was pretty good. I’d recommend the spring rolls, and the autumn rolls if you want something light. I’m a sucker for peanut sauce and it does not disappoint. I look forward to going back to try more food off the menu. Staff is very kind too.
The food was wonderful. The owner is delightful. I wish they could offer in-restaurant dining again. I hope more people would check out Thai Smile and join me in wishing for the return of in-restaurant dining…she said wishfully. Theirs is fresh and taste-filled food and a work of art, especially when presented on a plate vs a to-go container.
Food presentation is gorgeous! The service was awesome too. However, most of the dishes were way too sweet. Not sure if it's an off day for the chef or something, but all that sweetness definitely overpowered the deliciousness.
I'd come again to see if things have changed. Otherwise it's a solid 3 stars for now.
Very solid Thai food. They are a little unique on their take which I love but everything I’ve had has been delicious. All pad Thai variations. Mango sticky rice. Fried rice.
Take out only. Consistently amazing. I wish their satay platter meal wasn't smothered in peanut sauce. There used to be a note field to order sauce on the side, but no longer and my daughter wouldn't eat her meal last time because of it.
The food is always great. It seems like they have been reading the reviews and have fixed the issues with the wait time for food. Our food was ready in 15 minutes tonight. 2 entries, rice, salad rolls and sticky rice. Plenty of food for dinner and lunch for 2 tomorrow.
The Mango rice was fantastic. Our favorite Thai food in Portland. We would come here even if it wasn’t in our neighborhood.
Food was incredible and for take out only. We got the Pad Thai, pork fried rice, Tom kah soup, spring rolls, and the fried oyster mushrooms. Every dish had amazing flavor and fresh ingredients. We will certainly be back on a regular basis.
The only Thai place in the Oregon City/Gladstone/Milwaukie/Clackamas/Happy Valley area worth going to, and trust me, we tried a lot before finding it! All the food is always delicious, our favorites are the pad thai and fried rice but every single thing we've ever had from here has been delicious! Always worth the travel for great food and good prices.
It's take out only so there's no seating but it is some of the best Curry that I've ever had. Their peanut sauce is amazing. They're always polite there and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this Thai food in this area as the best
Been meaning to try out this place and finally got to.
Ordered the Peanut Coconut Curry with Chicken and Brown Rice. Packed with flavor with a nice kick. I like how mild for spicy in Thai cooking has a decent kick to it. Generous with the amount of curry.
A bit spendy here, but well worth it. Good customer service and appreciate the anime atmosphere 😄.

This is THE BEST Thai food on the planet! Along with the best options and plentiful too!
The only Thai place in the Oregon City/Gladstone/Milwaukie/Clackamas/Happy Valley area worth going to, and trust me, we tried a lot before finding it! You cannot eat inside.Awful portions sizes, huge prices.
18 dollars for a small order of chicken pad thai. they are officially taking advantage of their customers. It's friggin 18$ for pad Thai alone. I guess only the well off can afford to go here anymore. Whatever. Really disgusting behavior, that's so greedy. Try the Thai Express restaurant up the street, chicken pad Thai is 14$ there and the portion sizes are much larger, better quality food too, with the added benefit of being able to dine inside.
Was great years ago. Looks like a weird messy warehouse inside now and the staff was super confusing and rude when I tried to order. Basically told me to go somewhere else. Online order prices are out of control. This place is dead to me now.
Their yellow curry, mango sticky rice, and thai iced tea is soooo good! I’m not a huge fan of ‘pick up only’ but the food is worth it!
These wings are very, very good. They are the closest thing you’ll find to Pok Pok wings.
Take out only. One of the best (if not the best) Thai food in the area. I got salad, curry, rice noodle stir fry, and pad thai with chicken, pork, and tofu and they were all excellent.
Great Food !
So damn good. I had the green curry with tofu and added extra veggies. The extra veggies were plentiful and varied. Great food great service outstanding value.
Food was delicious, and service was very acomodating and friendly. I had to put in a large food order, and they double checked everything and wrote everyone's names on the orders, in addition to adding plenty of silverware and sauces to go.
Consistently amazing food! I have never had my order be wrong in the 2yrs of ordering from Thai Smile. We order from here 1-2x a month and are always happy! Their peanut coconut curry is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! We love the salad rolls and the peanut sauce is the best I’ve ever had.
I can’t believe we’ve lived in the neighborhood for a year and are only now trying Thai Smile out. We ordered 2 entrees and summer rolls for pick up and I was delighted to have the option to include more vegetables instead of carb-heavy rice. Their entree dishes are loaded with fresh, al dente vegetables, plentiful, quality protein and really delicious sauces. They also offer half a dozen choices in spice level including “mild plus”. We also loved the small but thoughtful attention to detail in the veggie garnishes, wrapping each summer roll separately and then together, the use of reusable or recycleable containers (but would love to see them go with compostable) and the fact that it all came in a paper bag instead of plastic. I’m really glad Thai Smile is nearby—we will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!"
Best Pad Thai in town!
Phad Thai really tasty. BBQ fried rice was great. Cashew chicken was very tasty.
So good! We've been looking for a good thai place and this is it! A tiny bit more expensive than other places, but worth it. 5 people all super happy with their orders.
The absolute best wonton chicken soup I've ever had. The broth is perfect, I have it a few times a month.
Tried this Thai restaurant for the first time this week and it is my new go to! Holy smokes the food is amazing, maybe the best Thai food I have ever had. Everything was fresh, portion sizes (I got the lunch size) were huge and I was able to get 2 meals out of them, and it was FLAVORFUL which I feel like so many Thai places create some pretty bland food. They only do to-go orders but the food was hot and even after getting home ~10-15 mins away, it was still pipping hot!
As of 10/13/2023, during my most recent take-out order, I saw one of the owners pick up the phone and take an order. So they are going with the Covid's approach of no more dine-in, take-out only, with the added phone order.
My favorite item is the Rice Soup! Unfortunately, it only tastes good when eaten fresh and hot so by the time I bring it home, it is a bit sad and less yummy. Often, I would drive to the Clackamette Park nearby to enjoy it while having a wonderful view of the river.
As of April 12, 2023, STILL TAKE OUT ONLY!!!!! Check in on Yelp to get your FREE Thai Iced Tea! They were so nice and gave me Thai Iced Coffee instead since I'm not a big fan of Thai Iced Tea because it's always too sweet for me. They do want and prefer you order online to ensure you paid for your order up front; I totally get it since it's a small family-owned business and they can't afford for people not to show up for their orders for whatever reason. Consistent and tasty food quality similar to your homemade meals. Definitely don't let the outside look fool you!
When we lived in the area, this was our to go to for Thai food.
They know how to cook!!!
My wife and I dream about the food from this place since we now live in a place that can't make a decent Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles.
When we are back in the area, we are certainly stopping by for a meal.
My husband and I get take out from this place a lot! The food is always incredible, we crave it often! Portions are pretty large, which we love. It's typically prepared quickly, too. The online ordering is quick and painless, with a decent rewards program so we get a free meal fairly often, which is always nice. I hope this place stays open forever, it is SO. GOOD.
We love this place! It’s our go-to Thai spot. They are nice, the food is always hot and ready within the time frame. Highly recommend it! I also love that they have a reward system!!
First timer. Really pleased.
Delicious curry, followed order instructions, fresh, good flavor. Will be back for more. Thank you for your service
Disappointed. Expected a sit down experience like shown on website only to learn that they hadn't had dine in available since COVID started. Maybe in future will do takeout.
Great location..
Clean apperance.
Great if you like coconut curry very very very sugary sweet, not for me
Great if you like peas in many of the dishes, not for me.
The rice noodle dishes are too salty.
Great if you are looking for carryout-no dining so I was dissapointed.
Not the friendliest reception.
Every add on even basil is $3 more.
They only offer the tiniest little container of rice with curry dishes, 1/2 cup at most. More rice for $3 more.
Not very much meat. That is fine with me.
Quantity average to low compared to nearby thai restaurants.
Tried a few times. Not what I was looking for.
They ask for tips 15% or more on carryout no table service available.
I’ve been going to this spot since the day they opened , and let me tell you they never disappoint! AMAZING food always ! And pricing is not bad ! I would drive here and I don’t live in the area because it’s a great Thai restaurant around . They used to have it to where you could dine in but since
Covid it’s been take out only ! 10/10 would highly recommend.
Best Thai food in the area. Affordable prices, big portions and excellent food.
Been getting takeout from Thai Smile over the past 2 years and it is always consistently delicious. The online ordering system through their website makes it really easy and convenient to place orders. Best Tom Kah Kai I've had in the area!
Some of the best Thai food on McLoughlin.
Thai Smile’s food is extremely fresh and flavorful. Absolutely worth the wait if you’re ordering dinner and it is busy. Just plan an hour ahead :) my go-to item is chicken wings with the Larb dry rub -or-Spicy basil if you want a wet sauce. Tonight we had Khao Soi w/ beef, chicken Larb, and Pad Kee Mao w/ pork. All were substantial portions, delicious, and each dish was unique.
The Thai Smile Pad Thai is phenomenal. It’s very tasty, uses quality ingredients and portions are large.
The food is excellent! The prices are not bad and the salad rolls are huge. Yum
No dine in though
My husband has the sniffles and wanted a spicy soup so we decided to try Thai Smile out. I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious and obviously very fresh. The flavors were all on point, every single dish is fantastic. We will be back for sure!
I have had several issues with Thai smiles in the last 6 months I finally had to write a review. Up until recently I would have give them five stars raving reviews and I actually have. Today was the final straw. I walked in at 3:15 to place an order. The guy told me they are closed from 3:00 to 4:00 for lunch. He was so rude and insulting as if I should have known that. It is posted on the door but the door was unlocked. Who looks at the hours during the middle of the day when a business doors are unlocked. There are so many Thai restaurants in the area I'm definitely not going to put up with his rude insulting attitude.
We just tried it for the first time. Service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. It will definitely be a repeat.
SO good. I love the spiciness and everything I've tried here.
The quality of their menu, service, and food is everything!!! Found our new favorite spot. Go try it 😍
I order here at least once a month and am happy with my order every time. Their food tastes fresh and delicious. The portions are generous and their pricing is fair. Everyone I’ve interacted with while picking up my order has been very friendly and seems to be appreciative of my business. I also like that even when you order delivery or take out they make an effort to make your food look presentable and aesthetically pleasing rather than just tossing it in a takeout bin.
The Best Thai food within 50 miles. The curry is a little sweet but excellent. Special Orders may require a littke finesse, depending upon who is taking the orders.
The best Thai I've found in my area (south Portland Metro). Solid flavors and fresh tasting. I've had about 12 different items, and they've all been great. They seem to do well customizing the spice level, too.
Top notch hidden gem Thai food right in Gladstone! And with plenty of vegan selections. That's not all, they have wonderful customer service, too. Only pitfall is there's no in door dining as of 9/22/22. But order the food to go and indulge at home.
The best Thai Food in the neighborhood and it shows by how long the waits are. If you want their food, be prepared to wait for an hour or so, but that's not to knock them - that's just how many people enjoy them! The Pad Thai is superb.
Order was late, even though I ordered ahead and was given a pick up time. My pad thai had so much sauce on it I couldn't eat it. Partners dinner tasted burnt. Been here many times and had good food. This was my last trip. Seems very different, maybe different cook or owner? $50 down the drain.
Love this place, my go to Thai restaurant. Food is always good, flavorful, and serving size does not leave me wanting more.
Great flavors, everything is prepared perfectly.
Amazing good food. Significantly better than other Thai places we have gone to for years. Super friendly service and awesome art as well. Great people here.
My favorite Thai place. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and overall top quality. They take spice seriously so don’t order something as spicy unless you’re really sure.
Been going here regularly for years, my #1 choice and I am a bit snooty about Thai food. I am not sure, but is grandma in the kitchen?
The short reception girl was so ridiculous. Too arrogance and very full of herself. She was super rude over the phone and in person. First off, when she answered call, she said ‘yup’ when I said hello, that was her response. Seriously, at a restaurant? If you’re this arrogant, close your stupid restaurant. Who cares about your tasteless food. Customers are only doing well to support your business, there are millions of other restaurants out there with very nice humble employee from answering phone call to providing quality service, hands down. Thai Smile or whatever is called, does not have employees with good quality in them. From answering phone call to providing services in person was horrible and very ridiculous. Keep providing your bad services with your crazy arrogancy and rudeness, and keep losing customers. Or change your ways to providing quality services with respect to people and keep having returning happy customers. It’s left with you. I will never step into that stupid restaurant anymore, it’s full of bad atmosphere and disrespect. Food was horrible too, couldn’t eat the junk that was given to me. Had to trash it, and yet you’re proud with nonsense food you’re selling. RUBBISH
The most consistently good Thai food I’ve had in the Portland area. Never have been disappointed in any of their menu items, recommend the Pad See Ew, Pumpkin curry (big chunks of pumpkin!), Pra Ram (their peanut sauce is bomb.com), veggie gyoza (order extra!), Green Beans, and Thai ice tea.
I have ate here before and i would of recommended it to anyone. I picked up some food a couple days ago and i didnt have any extra cash so i wasnt able to tip. I got my girlfriend and i the chicken pai thia i order mine medium spicy, and spring rolls 35 bucks. My food was so hot spicy icouldnt even eat it. Moral of the story IF U GET FOOD BETTER TIP
To order food you have to do it on their website, you can't call in an order. Not very easy to make an order.
Best Thai food in Milwaukie hands down. My partner is Vegan and there are lots of options to choose from. Love the food and service.
Very happy with the pad Thai dish and the mango sticky rice! Great price and fast.
Amazing! My favorite Thai food restaurant hands down. The spring rolls and the chicken pad Thai are my favorite! This place turned us into regulars. All the options have great flavor!
Been ordering from these guys since they ran their food cart (Veli Thai) in downtown. Still the best Pad Thai in Portland. If you ask for spicy, it will actually be spicy.
Only do Togo order and required the customers to pay tip. The cashier's attitude is so bad that makes us not want to come back. Food is not great as I thought.
Finding something for my family to eat at late night and see this restaurant with the good reviews on google. Excited and driving about 1/2hour to get there but so disapointed later. The food is not good and so sweet. I never try any thai food like that before.
The worst thing is their customer service. They still not accept dine in and all togo. We are so hungry and ok to wait 1/2 hour for the food. But I never see a restaurant that DOES NOT Allow the customer to choose how much tips they want. They dont let me choose and ask how much I wanna tip many times with the rude attitude.
So disapointed and never come back
Wow! First time tonight. Super fresh and high quality. But beware! “Medium” is way too hot for a wimp like me lol!
YES!!! I’ve been wanting MY SPICY BASIL dish but with all this covid💩 going on and people not being able to get what they need for cars, food etc I finally got my Thai 5star spicy dish thank you
Really good food and generous portions.
Fantastic every time. Favorites include the peanut-coconut curry, the ginger entree, the Tom kha Kai, and the spicy basil chicken wings. Plus they are super nice - for example when I left my phone there they contacted me by email and kept my phone safe until the next day. Their customer service is above and beyond, just like their food.
best thai on mclaughlin, for the value, maybe in portland
Accidentally ordered from the wrong place. Called immediately to cancel order, which they refused to do.
Shady business practices, even asked if (since they ridiculously refused to cancel order), they would donate food to a homeless shelter. “Ummmm, we don’t do that.” Was the insipid response from the other end of the phone line.
If the food isn’t any better than the service, I wouldn’t risk it.
My first time here. I’m very impressed. I love Thai food and this place did not disappoint. Food is excellent with great flavor. Also generous portion. I like my food spicy and the dishes I asked to be hot are. I’ll be back
It’s so dangerous living so close to a delicious Thai restaurant. I’ve managed to eat here at least once a week.
Thai Smile is our favorite Thai in the Portland area! We’ve made a habit of ordering from here weekly and have never had a bad experience. The taste is consistent with delicious and strong flavors, and the price can’t be beat (1 entree/curry usually provides 2 meals!) I recommend my personal favorite the mussaman curry, the ginger entree or the garlic pepper entree, but like I said we’ve never had a bad experience. Highly recommend Thai Smile!
Probably my favorite tasting Thai food. Good size portions too.
Decent
We go to this location every weekend for dinner, and the food is consistently great. You get a heavy amount for what you pay for, which leaves some left overs for your 4th meal😋
The service is friendly, helpful, patient and great quality. This is our neighborhood favorite!
Excellent flavors. Really good pad thai
Best Thai food in the Portland metro area. I love the dynamic flavors. And the ingredients are so fresh.
The best Thai food I've had in Portland! Wow! The tofu is fantastic!
Good middle of the road Thai
Food is good.
Some of the best Thai food in town
Best Pad Thai in Portland. Used to get their food at the Veli Thai food cart all the time before COVID hit. The food's so good, I'm happy to make the trip out to it's brick and mortar location despite the long drive for me.
We tried Thai Smile out due to them offering curbside pickup & weren't expecting greatness. They are now easliy one of our favorite restaurants! I've tried nearly all of the curry dishes and haven't been disappointed. Their vegetarian rolls are wonderful & they even give an option to omit the cilantro (those of you with the soapy cilantro gene understand). Their website is very user friendly and full of options/add-ons. I also noticed on their website that they are offering free meals to individuals affected by the Covid pandemic. ❤ Just when I think that I can't love them enough, I do!
Best Thai Food hands down, always hot and fresh. Pad Thai is on point!!!
Seriously the best Thai I’ve had in this area. Better than most of the very spendy Thai I used to get when I lived downtown Portland. It’s super flavorful and the portions are amazing. The Thai curry feeds me for dinner and then for lunch the next two days. Just as good warmed up as it is fresh. Can’t recommend it enough.
I ordered 1/2 trays of pad Thai, Tom yum soup, spring rolls, vegetable rolls, and chicken Thai fried rice and got free crispy rolls!! All of my guests loved the food, we ate all of it. The best Thai food I’ve ever had!
I have started craving their food! Thai Smile is not only notable for their flavorful and deep menu selection, but for the presentation of their dine in meals (spiky carrot crowns! beds of cabbage!) and the owner's adorable hand drawn cartoons framing the customer reviews posted on the walls of the restaurant. It feels like they have worked to make a total experience. The only drawback I've encountered has been navigating the phone reservation system during covid; it flat out hasn't worked, and I end up just coming in person and asking if they can squeeze us in.
I've never had thai food before until this place and it was so fantastic! Very good flavor and you can get your food non spicy. Very good flavor. I highly recommend you try at least once in your life.
Worst customer service I have experienced in my life, can't imagine how bad the food is. I have been bartending all over the united states for 20 years mostly in New Orleans and never have i encounter such unhospitable people.
On 9/9/2020 when fires were raging all over town and smoke was everywhere, I was doing a little driving for postmates and I got a ding for this restaurant.....I proceeded to drive 20 minutes to get there and upon arrival was informed they were too busy to take my order and that it was a 2 hour wait, I in return said they should turn off their postmates app so drivers don't waste their time and customers don't get let down.
I then asked if I could at least use the restroom real quick number 1! Then shockingly they say to me restrooms are for customers only, (they are doing take out only.....im the only potential customer in the restaurant) I responded "I'm trying to be a customer and place an order, you can't take my order, the decent thing to do is allow me to use the restroom for my troubles! But to my amazement they rudely would not budge. Therefore I felt this review was in order and I honestly hope their restaurant does not survive the hard times!
Amazing food and amazing people. We go there at a minimum of once a week and it is always tasty food.
Food is very good. All my family members agree!
Absolutely incredible food - so much flavor and the perfect amount of spice. I called for takeout and ordered the eggplant dish. I LOVED it! Portions are generous and I love the option of jasmine or brown rice. Interior is cute and sanitary and the staff was so kind. I was wondering what happened to the food cart in downtown Portland and was pleasantly surprised to find that they moved closer to my town! Will be returning again and again and again!
Super fresh and perfectly prepared Thai food! The cucumber salad is really good.
Delicious food! #45
June 2020 update: WOW, this place is still so good! I wish it wasn't all the way down in Milwaukie, but it is worth it! The yellow curry and pad thai were both outstanding!
Oct 2019: Some of the best yellow curry I've ever had! Very good fresh rolls, too. Looking forward to coming back!!
This is my favorite Thai place in the Portland area. Fresh, colorful, and gorgeous food presentation... each dish is a flavor bomb. They’re good at pinpointing spice level. People are super nice and professional... even the dining area is cute. Don’t let the hole in the wall plaza atmosphere fool you. Prices are good, too. Yes!
Hands down the best Thai food in town! Actually probably the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Packed with flavor, and their presentation is so beautiful! The portions sizes are huge so you have easily two meals out of one. Love this place, and I’ll come back every time I’m in town!!
Very nice presentation, very clean place ,good service and most of the plates very tasty ,in personal opinion price is a little high but it's worth it ..
Wish it was in Portland so I could go more often. The Garlic Pepper stir fry was delicious. Ordered it with tofu, which soaked up the flavor of the sauce very well.
I have a new favorite food. Pumpkin Curry.
Wonderful new restaurant with excellent food and service. One of the best in the area for sure.
Played the video poker and the room was clean
My wife and I have eaten twice at Thai Smile and recommend it highly. The meals were delicious and the service great!
Very good Thai food! Let me start by saying by far (if you ask for it) SPICIEST Thai I've had in a long while. Food is quality 👌👌👌👌 great lunch specials and good size portions.
Great food and large portions. Vegan and gluten free options.
This place is amazing! We love the green curry so much. Truly delicious Thai food.
We love this restraunt. The staff is super friendly. They have our order memorized. Lol. A must try #45 chicken satay plater.
Amazing food!
This is definitely my new favorite! The food is fresh, beautiful and tasty and the staff is all wonderful and really want to make sure you are happy. I highly recommend it.
Thai Smile is the BEST!
A delicious place to eat for all dietary needs! So far, my favorite is their pumpkin curry, I order it vegan and it's SO GOOD! You also get a ton of food for the price and the service is excellent!!
Went during August with my girl and we enjoyed the food so much! The mango sticky rice, Kee Mao Noodles, fried rice and curry were all superb! Highly recommend them to anyone that loves Lao (Generally the same exact more spice) and Thai food!
All I can say is wow. I don't know what they do hurry, but it is definitely the best I've ever had. And I've eaten Curry all over the world.
This place is a must try we stopped in on a trip to Gladstone. It was rated high and it was well worth it. We had the vegetable dumplings it came with the dumplings nestled into a vegetable garden of deliciousness .it was one of the most inventive items I've had in a long time. The food was spot on with fresh ingredients paired with great flavor. If this place was in my home town it would be my twice a week spot.
Great food and service!!!! Family owned and operates!
#23 - is a LARGE portion of a great speciality noodle!
I am a repeat customer!
Wonderful Thai food. Reasonable price
Just opened, with good food. Everything we order d was tasty and looked delicious.
Fabulous server and fabulous food
Great customer service and awesome food!
Yum! Very good food!
Love the food really testy! One Waitress Were supper nice love her smiles!
They make an effort, but for portland standards they just seemed to get a lot of it wrong. The mushroom dish was beyond salty, and the eggplant only tasted of fish sauce and nothing else.
My new favorite Thai restaurant! Great fresh food, wonderful flavors, friendly service and reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
Great food good balance not too sweet not too syrupy really good flavors we had pad Thai tom kah
Clean, well lit place, and the food is delicious with beautiful presentation.
Thai Smile has great food with a comfortable, nice-looking atmosphere and friendly service. I found my fave Thai Restaurant.
Very good food!!! Fresh and presented exactly like the pictures!! Will definitely go regularly to this restaurant!
Delicious food:)
Glad I chose to try this place for a quick lunch Togo. Not disappointed in anything! Drunken noodles dish reminded me of a time that we had "the best" ! Will recommend !!
Everything was delicious! Service was great and the price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get!
This place is so good! So clean and food is spectacular! Presentation is everything here ! Definitely my new favorite Thai place :) yummm
Excellent food. Highly recommend. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. Will be returning soon
Great food
Hands down one of the BEST Thai restaurants I have ever been to. So excited to have this gem near by now....and the prices are also very reasonable compared to others. This will be the only local Thai place I will go to from now on. Freshest ingredients, beautiful presentation, top notch service. You MUST go...
I ordered the chicken chizzy the best noodle recipe I have had along with good service from returning visits.
Some of the MOST AMAZING Thai food that we've had outside of Thailand! The ONLY Thai restaurant that rivals Thai Smile's flavors and quality is the famous *Lemongrass*! (Long-time Portlanders KNOW the place that I mean.)
We had the Summer Rolls, Green Papaya salad, Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Thai Iced Teas, and various fruit juices. ALL were outstanding! (My only critique was that the Pad Thai was a little sweet, but that's just my taste.)
Each dish was beautifully presented and extremely flavorful, with layers of complex flavors that created separate dimensions all on their own! The Panang Curry was a particular standout...I literally GASPED when I tried it...the flavors were THAT EXTRAORDINARY! We're talking seriously GOURMET Thai food here! The portions are large to boot...so you'll likely be able to enjoy leftovers, too!
All of it delivered with excellent customer service, too! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
Few restaurants in the Portland area are anywhere near THIS good, and fewer still are affordable any more, especially for us Oregon Natives. Leave *Pok Pok* to the hipsters, tourists, and trustfunders...and come on over to *Thai Smile* for some of THE BEST Thai food you've EVER had!
The best thai food I have had in awhile! I would highly recommend.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The chef came to our table to make sure we were enjoying our experience. We had a large group and they had no problem accommodating a dozen of us.
I highly recommend visiting if you are near or far.
This is a new place but everything was Super Fresh the service was spot-on the atmosphere is very warm and accepting and the food again was so fresh and delicious
New restaurant, very fresh and tasty food. Thai ice tea is lovely. We will definitely be back.
Great food and atmosphere! Food is delicious and priced right.
Best Thai on McLoughlin! Also very clean and nice people.
Very happy to see and taste this new Thai restaurant in the Gladstone, Oak Grove area. The restaurant was very tidy and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and best of all the food was delicious. My 5 year old son loved the chicken satay and has already asked to go back and have it again. I’ll be eating here often!!
We visited this restaurant on a recommendation and were not disappointed. This is a very new restaurant, we visited on only their second day.
I ordered the red curry with chicken and my wife got a noodle dish with pork. Both were more than generous servings. Very nice since I'm a large man with a large appetite.
The red curry was terrific! Complex and delicate flavors. My wife LOVED her noodle with pork soup!
Service was very good. Thai Smile indeed.
Lovely clean atmosphere. Will be making this a regular stop for my Thai food fix.
