Friends and I stopped for a late lunch at Kate’s Thai Cuisine. We tried a number of dishes, enjoyed them all, and the group favorite was the Pad See Ew. Everything was a very fair price ($11 each) and had great flavor. Kate serves authentic and flavorful Thai food. Be warned though the spice scale is no joke! We got our dishes as 2-stars and there were very hot. She offers a 1/2-star option for those who are looking for a little less burn. If you are considering stopping for a bite, Kate’s is the place to go!

UPDATE: We were back already, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! Everything was perfect again!

Kate’s food, customer service, and passion for her business went well Above and Beyond 5 out of 5 stars! The Pad Thai absolutely has to be the best you can find in the Portland area. The sweet sticky rice and mango was also amazing. Kate talked about her dedication to ensuring each and every ingredient was perfectly ripened and/or prepared. We all love Kate's. Every dish we have had is quality. And customer service is great. Order ahead so you don't have to wait 30+ minutes.

In this beautiful place you will find a perfect atmosphere because the owner is the one who prepares your food with that family touch and apart from that the taste of the food is unique so if you are like me that If you love Thai food, this is the place to delight your palate.

Hands down best authentic Thai food! Kate is the kindest soul and you can taste the love in everything she creates! 10/10 would recommend- I love the panang curry, green curry, pad see eww, tamarind chicken, drunken noodles, sun dried pork, beef noodle soup & chicken dumplings- her menu changes weekly which you can find on her facebook page. I have never had anything from her that I did not enjoy & it’s always worth trying something new, even if you already have your favorites. She takes care of her guests and always goes above and beyond. 💗🥰

This is my go-to Thai spot ever since I found it. Kate is a lovely human being who cares deeply about her food, customers and service. The food is delicious and authentic, with Kate even bringing back ingredients all the way from Thailand to make sure she delivers the best dishes. The owner is so kind!!! She had a lot of orders when we got there but brought the food out to our car, apologized for the wait, made our food to accommodate when it might be eaten (and explained it to us), and gave us 4 free ice waters!! Fantastic customer service. The food was pretty good; got the tofu pad Thai and the tofu was wonderfully crispy. If you’re not used to Thai food/spice, get the lowest spice you can—they’re not messing around when it comes to spice.

Kate is wonderfully sweet, and the food is delicious!! She uses her family recipes, and cooks it all herself. It is authentic Thai, & as Kate will explain to you, the spice levels are no joke! Thankfully, the “1/2” level of spice is mild enough for my sensitive self, so lovers of all levels of spice will be happy! Kate is clearly passionate about cooking and proud to be a part of the McMinnville community, stating that she works hard to ensure the prices stay accessible. Freshest Thai I've ever had!

I thought I was being conservative with two chiles. Turns out that two chiles nearly hit my spicy level max. She was kind enough to double check with me. I do not regret my choices, lol.

This is a one woman show and it's clear that she has a passion for food. There wasn't a line and she turned out our order very fast.

I got the 'chicken and ginger' and 'drunken noodles'. Before I even opened the box, I could smell the delicious fresh ginger wafting and welcoming me to a new culinary adventure.

I was marginally worried about having a nut allergy. All peanut garnishes were correctly left off my dishes. For my level of sensitivity (generally so long as I'm not eating them), complete success.

Dumplings are delicious too.

It feels like a place I've go once or twice a month for the better part of a Decade, she always makes good food and is very friendly

First things first. The food was delicious. A bit of a wait, but unquestionably worth it.

More importantly. I am a human who eats a bit more than I should at mealtime. So when I tell you that this was a goodly amount of food, you should know that you're likely to feel the same way. This is only the second time in my life that I recall getting two full meals' worth of food from a single entree, and this experience tasted better than the other one at half the cost.

We finally found great Thai food in the area! We talked about cooking techniques and Kate is legit! Flavors are great and had the right amount of heat for my palate. I can’t wait to try everything on her menu!

I'm not one to leave reviews but let me tell you, Kate's deserves every star and then some. The menu options are excellent and the food is always fresh. I've been disappointed before when she has sometimes rotated items in/out that I'd been craving but we've never ordered anything we didn't end up liking and wanting again. If you have taste preferences or allergies, she always accommodates which is not common, at least for me with most Asian foods due to a severe egg allergy. I strongly feel her food is a better quality and quantity than the dollar amount she puts in place. Kate and her husband are so generous and you can tell the love they have for what they do and the people they serve. My husband and I go just about every week and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Without a doubt, best Thai within 20 miles of McMInnville. Don't get anything with 6 chilies, you will go to hospital. Green Curry is excellent as is Pad Thai and Cashew chicken

Okay, I am a huge fan of Thai food. I knew about Kate’s Cuisine but had not taken the time to stop. Last night I was hungry and on my way home from work so I stopped. I ordered the Chicken Penang curry and the pineapple fried rice. The cuisine was amazing!!! The customer service was very personal. I ordered the thai pad with chicken. When i got it home almost all the juice was out i wish she would use better containers.
The heat guide is accurate if you like hot foods. Medium is really hot to a normy.
The noodles and spices were spot on. It smelt diffrent but it was because all fresh ingredients.
Everybody says how wonderful it is.
The only complaint is the chicken was notcooked through. I actually got a piece that was raw in the middle.
Cause i took it home i could not show her. I can tell by her love of cooking that she would of fixed it no questions asked.
She was swamped at the time. It is very popular here in mcminnville. I went once before and she couldn't take my order cause she had more orders then she could handle.
I wish someone would help her into a restraunt.
She might be a real attration to mcminville.

I have been going to Kate’s Thai Truck for a few years now and I still love it! Not to mention she is always incredibly sweet, kind and courteous. If you haven’t had a chance to support this local business I strongly encourage you to try it out!

Lots of great options and a dedication to quality

I love Kate's Thai Cuisine! Now that I work from home rather than in downtown Portland, it is much easier to shift my hours a bit and run across town to get something. I almost always get the Pad Thai, and Kate is great about my special request for "no egg." Yummy sauce (would almost pay for a side of that separate). I usually get two meals so I have enough for several lunches or dinners over a few days, and this gives me a chance to try some of her other varied entrees. I've never, ever been disappointed! Kate is so friendly, industrious, and eager to please.

She does close at 5:00 pm now, and she is popular enough that she sometimes runs out of an ingredient in the later afternoon, which is a great compliment. Also, even when you can only see one car or waiting customer, she is often working on several phone or text orders from her repeat customers. I have learned the value of texting my order ahead to get in line rather than having multiple orders ahead of me if I drive up. But the food is worth the wait for a new customer or if I need to drop by unexpectedly. (And, oh, if you order ahead, do please show up and pay for your food! Anyone who doesn't is both rude or mean, and missing out on great genuine Thai food.)

We just got back from eating Kate's Thai food for the first time and it is so full of flavor! My kids are devouring it. Kate was very accommodating as I don't eat meat and I don't love tofu so she substituted vegetables on our Pad Thai and yakisoba noodle meals and added extra egg for protein. I went to Thailand in February and her flavors are on point! As this is now my favorite Thai place in McMinnville I will be back.

Wife and I had lunch here today. We had drunken noodles, shrimp pad Thai and mango rice. One of the best meals we’ve had in Mac and quite probably the best pad Thai we’ve ever eaten. Very excited to go back and try more selections!

Pad Thai is one of the world's perfect foods. Pro tip: try the spring rolls.

Food was not as pictured. If you order a minced meat entree, it will come as sliced meat, so don't be surprised by the difference. This was brought up to the owner and confirmed that slices of meat (like used in stir fry) is her version of minced meat. The flavor was ok, but both my friend and myself had stomach issues after an hour.

The BEST Thai food! I'm telling you this lady can cook! Her spirit is always so proud and so kind. Her cooking is out of this world and her attitude makes the experience 10 times better. Every chance I get when I'm in McMinnville I make sure I stop here. She remembers the first thing I ordered the first time ever. I loved it so much I let her know that day. Every time I come back she asks "do you want your usual?" "Two or one Chili's?" I like mine spicy and she deafinitely hooks me up. This is the best Meals on Wheels! If you haven't tried it I wouldn't go another day missing an opportunity to have your tastebuds blown.

I ordered the Thai friend rice, and it was fantastic! A little on the zesty side, I was thoroughly enjoying myself. Kate was super friendly and attentive, even as she was preparing other customer's food. A little spendy, but if you're looking for tasty Thai food made to order, then this is your food truck.

Kate’s Thai food was absolutely fantastic! It tastes just like my grandmother used to make it. She is so kind and is willing to answer any questions you may have. I’m vegan and she asked me tons of questions just to make sure my order was right. Everything is very reasonably priced and she only ever makes the food fresh to order. She is all about the quality of her food and it definitely shows. She’s the best!

BEST Thai food we have ever had and the best service. Kate treated us like we were family. She made our food fresh to order. She sat and talked to us while we ate and told us about living in Bangkok. Kate and her food are the best!

We don't have a lot of good Thai in this area. Kate's is definitely the best. She has a rotating menu with lots of reasonable priced, tasty food. She is also very kind and willing to answer any question you may have. There is outdoor seating, with an enclosed area for unpleasant weather.
