I’d read good reviews about Sandee Thai, but I was still a bit skeptical. After some underwhelming experiences at other Thai spots in the Salem/Keizer area, I wasn’t sure if this place would be any different. But I’m so glad I gave it a shot. I decided to splurge on their Crab Fried Rice, even though I hesitated when I saw the $18 price tag. How could you go wrong with real Dungeness crab though, right?
When I went to pick it up, I was completely blown away—the takeout box must have weighed a good 3-4 pounds! I wondered if I’d accidentally ordered enough for a small family, but their portions are just that generous. The smell of fresh crab was so irresistible that I raced home, barely able to wait to dig in. Before inhaling it, I snapped a quick pic of the takeout box next to my laptop for scale, lol. Let me tell you, it was worth every penny. With friendly service to top it all off, I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!
Tonight was my first time dining at Sandee Thai.
•The parking is in the rear, and limited, but that’s okay since the restaurant itself is quite small.
•There isn’t much in the way of ambience but the dining room is clean and tidy.
•Our server wasn’t overly friendly but she was efficient.
•The food was pleasing to the eye and very tasty! I started with some of the lettuce wrap appetizer and loved the sauce they have to drizzle over the chopped chicken and onions.
Shrimp Pad Thai was my main course and it was perfect. The shrimp were meaty and cooked just right.
I will definitely go back to this restaurant!
First time in, I had the Drunken Noodle with chicken and the spring rolls with shrimp 🍤. Everything was so delicious! The portions were huge! I was dining alone and barely made a dent in my dinner! I have a huge portion left over for lunch tomorrow and I can’t wait! Great service, warm atmosphere-PARK IN THE BACK- Enjoy 💖❤️
Sandee has consistently been one of our favorite restaurants in Keizer. The veggies are fresh. The pineapple fried rice and crab FR are savory, rich, and delicious.
Pad Thai, the curries (including pineapple curry, a favorite), and the stir fry's are fantastic.
Don't hesitate to order take out on your way home. The online ordering is the same price as in store, with no service fees.
Level 2 spice I would consider slightly less hot than buffalo sauce/Franks Red Hot heat, and is well tempered by the dishes.
Ordered out this is by far the best Thai food I’ve had in Oregon this is my new go to spot I’m so impressed with the crab fried rice and the orange chicken is how it’s suppose to be. Only place in Oregon where it has medium sized orange chicken bites, with a crisp, instead of 3 jumbo pieces of weird meat. I absolutely love this place and everything is fresh. There’s even a nice dine in area which I will try at some point as well. The crab fried rice meal portion is exactly what you pay for I’m so happy thank u- Trey
We got crab rangoon, crab fried rice, green curry, and pad thai, and they are delicious! The staff is also friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Appetizers were good. The fresh pring rolls and fried spring rolls were both good. Although I was sad they were out of mango for the mango fresh rolls. I also like the Thai iced tea.
When you first walk in your hit with a strong smell of mildew.
The services was awkward and cold and we kept having to go get the server to order.
3 of us got curries, one got a soup, and another got a stir fry. They were all waaaay too sweet. Every single entree. It was okay the first couple bites. But it got sickly sweet and hard to eat after that
One of the best Thia food places in town.

Best crab rangoons I've ever had in my LIFE— and I buy them everywhere. I consider myself a crab rangoon connoisseur. I am truly ecstatic to have found these. The drunken noodle, pad thai, chow mein, and calamari are fantastic.
The food was lukewarm. The server looked bored. She could have just been really shy. Not a people person.
Food is good. All star service
Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry, but it is worth the wait. Such good food! They accommodate vegans and it’s posted right on the menu, which we love! I’ve only seen two people working here, one runs the front and the other one cooks; but will always support the mom and pop restaurants.
Great Thai food in a nice atmosphere.

Waitress was fantastic even though it was very busy. Food was excellent. The only complaint I could have is that the restaurant is acoustically loud. Everything else was great.
Door says open till 9:00. Arrived at 8:10 to be told they apparently want to close at 8:30. Lame.
Delicious
Food was great, had the drunken noodle. Loved it.
It was my first time eating here and the food was really good.
Your server never hardly greets you, and just try to get a smile out of her,😑 maybe if you're lucky a 1/2 smile. My biggest complaint is not keeping the front door not being cleaned and the weeds picked up. They might not own the building, but it shows the lack of pride in the business
Salems Thai restaurants are terrible. 2nd place we tried to go for the night and it failed. Wait was long without acknowledgement. We left.
Best Pad Thai I’ve had, came here when I moved to Keizer and it’s been my favorite since!😊
Just very delicious
Great food. Best Thai food in town and one heck of a good price too!!
We had a great lunch at Sandee Thai! We ordered the Spicy Basil and Spicy Cashew Nut and Spicy Basil Fried Rice, all at 4/5 spicy. The food was served piping hot and we thought with average spice. Excellent serving size and the lunch prices are nice. We have leftovers for dinner. Yum!
Always get take out...
It is amazing food! Best Thai in town!!
Excellent food, interior is very clean and well maintained. Wait times are acceptable and prices are fairly average
Best Pad Thai in town!
We went to the quirky restaurant. Staff did not greet us, said nothing when giving us the menus.
Came back took our order, brought food still nothing until she brought the check. Will not be back.
I ordered the evil jungle prints, and I’ve never had this dish taste so bland before. I’ve ordered this dish numerous times from other restaurants and it comes with a delicious coconut curry sauce that the vegetables and rice come with and this was very bland and dry, very flavorless. I was most of the way done and then the waitress came by and asked if the food was OK I commented where is all the curry and coconut sauce and she said this is how it comes. I’ve been eating Thai food for years numerous restaurants make evil jungle prints I have never had a worse experience with bland, boring food that has no sauce with it at a Thai restaurant. Then this place I would highly recommend not coming here and choosing another Thai restaurant in town pretty much any other Thai restaurant in town was better than this .
I ate about 1/3 of the food because it’s too expensive to throw away. Realistically I’m going to go buy some coconut milk and go home and add it to the curry that I have and see if I can fix this dish because $17 is way too expensive for some rice and vegetables to be throwing away.
Sandee is the best Thai food around by far. Delicious food, generous portions, friendly staff, and fair prices. We don’t even live in Keizer — we’re 20 minutes away in Salem — but it’s worth the drive. We tried every other Thai place in the area and this one is 100% our favorite!
I dined at Sandee Thai restaurant in Keizer and had a very pleasantly surprising experience. Their food was delicious and fresh. I have MSG allergies, so I'm always cautious when I dine at Thai, Chinese, etc. establishments. Needless to say, I didn't have any reactions.
I had the drunken noodles with chicken and the ground chicken lettuce wraps! The waitstaff was friendly, and the food was pretty quick to come out.
This place has absolutely amazing food. Everything I've tried here is fantastic. It's a very casual, low key atmosphere. You can pick between 1-5 for spiciness level on almost every dish. They have some of the best fried dumplings I've ever tasted anywhere. The price is extremely reasonable for the large portions that you get. I'll go there with a friend and buy one entree and will share it and still have some to take home. My new favorite go-to spot
Tonight was my first time dining at Sandee Thai.

I will definitely go back to this restaurant!
Kid friendly, super nice lady.
DELICIOUS FOOD

Very good food, nice place. Poor location though. I ordered two completely different dishes, one mild and one spicy. They mixed up the spice levels, and I ended up with the spicy one when I wanted mild. Otherwise it’s a great place
The panang curry is great the perfect balance of spice to coconut milk. The crab puffs are the best I've ever had.
The food had amazing flavor. We had Drunken Noodles and Lemongrass chicken. Both very good.
absolutely love this place! they always have our food ready quickly and are super friendly, even adding free potstickers sometimes! I have tried so many things on the menu because I just keep coming back. I love the green curry, tofu drunken noodles, and tom kah. their prices are very fair!
Had a great dinner here! Very flavorful! Tom Kah was absolutely delicious! Party of 5 and was under $100 I definitely recommend this place! You have to try the pork Drunken Noodles 🍜 😋 The best!
The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was wonderful. We are pad Thai and pineapple curry and finished with mango sticky rice. Not to crowded and great service. Thank you, we will see you again soon.
We are in the process of moving to Salem and discovered this restaurant a couple of months ago when we first began working on our new house. My husband is Asian and very picky about American restaurants serving Asian food. I have never seen him so excited about a restaurant. He is addicted to the food here. We eat here regularly with friends and we all love it!! The service is great too. The decor is simple. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and comfortable.
Dang, this food was super good! I got some take out for my family and the portion sizes are large enough to share with 2-3 people. The flavors were exceptional and we will definitely be ordering from here in the future. Thanks!
Best Pad See Ew. I get level 3 spicy.
I love there food never been bad
Went to celebrate a birthday lunch. Several vegetarian options for my friend. I had the spicy cashew nut with chicken. Soooo good. Very flavorful. We both had leftovers.
A steady stream of people were coming in to pick up their order for take out.
Comfortable, warm, quiet to carry on a conversation.
Parking in back.
Sorry forgot to take pics.
Food was incredibly tasty, flavorful, right level of spicy, and good temperature! It was a little slow to get to order and have food brought to the table but with one person doing all the order taking, cashier, and bussing it makes sense. I overheard other customers talking about how they come here often, I’ll definitely be back and recommend to anyone in Keizer! I like the cozy and clean atmosphere too.
Ordered crab ragoons, veggie delight beef, sweet sour pork, and chicken eggplant stir fry online for pick up. All was delicious and ready promptly!
Económico delicioso agradable ambiente
i’m giving this restaurant a 1 star because i came here yesterday i ate their food that I WAITED 1 HOUR FOR and i got food poisoning from it.
Probably our favorite Thai restaurant in the Salem/Keizer area! Very affordable prices and delicious food.
Best Thai in Keizer. Period.
Keizer is lacking in food choices. This place helps make up for that. Good food, Good Service, quaint dinning room
Fantastic Thai! Stopping in for lunch, we had Drunken Noodles (good), Sweet and Sour Chicken (outstanding), and Tom Kha (best we've ever had). Great place all around.
I had my daughter's 21st birthday there. The food was delicious. Ava was very accommodating when it came to sing Happy Birthday she played Happy Birthday music. Thank you
Stopped in to get some dinner on the way home. Called 20 min in advance was told it would be ready in 30 stopped in and paid then waited another 30 min. But the food was amazing and their peanut sauce was delicious. If it hadn’t taken so long I would give 5 stars I got the mango salad rolls and the avocado curry both were amazing
I love this restaurant! So good! We have ordered at least 5 times to go and there has never been an issue. This is a gem!
So I must say the exterior did not look like much and upon walking in with my girlfriend it was pretty awkward because you're not greeted like at most restaurants. No welcome or hello, just menus put on a table and told to sit here.
The reason they're getting five stars is the food was absolutely amazing. Not only did they use high quality bok choy, peapods and chinese cabbage in my tilapia silver noodles(woon sen), but the portion was ridiculously large for the money especially. I've never seen that much protein in any Thai noodle dish ever. The flavor was really good as well as to not use too much sugar or too much soy sauce. It had a very light and fresh flavorful profile. The chicken satay was also equally flavorful and the cucumber salad was a nice touch. Definitely going back!!
Very delicious! Great portion size!
Awesome food prices. They have tons of plant based options on the menu too.
The outside doesn't look like a restaurant but inside is spacious and beautiful.
I did Take Out since it was close to closing time however, I wasn't expecting such big portions. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, Friend Calamari, and Pineapple Fried Rice which were very delicious and with spiciness requested.
The staff was really friendly despite I ordered closer to closing time.
Awesome place with very tasty meals 😋
We shared the mussels and that was really yummy, one of the best mussel recipes I've ever had 👌
I then went for the vegetarian green curry and that was delicious.
Service is good
It was hard to tell it was open when walking in the street but glad I looked on Google Maps 👍
Ordered 5 spiciness and got 1 spice. Pad Thai sauce tastes like cheap stuff out of the bottle. Cashew stir fry dish was way too sugary, like a Chinese restaurant. Peanut sauce for salad rolls was bleh. There's far better Thai food in Salem, and even on this street.
The food is delicious, prices are reasonable, and the staff are always friendly. We’ve tried every Thai place in Keizer and this one is the best!
Just left this place. We were promptly seated and given menus, and with no one else in the restaurant we were ignored for the next ten minutes. No water, no place settings, no one came to check on us. 6:30 on a Wednesday. The items on the menu looked good, though. Edit for follow up visit: I dropped in to place a to-go order, an empty restaurant again. Order was ready in about 8 minutes (Pad Ke Mao, which was an appropriate level of spiciness and was very well prepared). Will go back.
This is amazing!! Hands down the best Thai restaurant in town. I got the yellow curry with white rice and it was perfect. Not spicy at all and the portions are so good. I was given enough to feel full and had enough left over for a meal tomorrow. Definitely highly recommended.
Fresh ingredients! Atmosphere is flat but if you have good company or togo it's legit!
Great food, friendly service. One of the best Tom Yum soups ever - and the other food I’ve had is Very good also!
Food was good. Slow service but accommodating to allergies. The restrooms aren't signed so it was a little challenging to figure out if there was a customer restroom/wash station.
Food always comes out in good time, portions are big for the price, and of course very delicious! The one woman who seems to do all the serving/bussing and manage the cash register still makes time to be attentive to customers! I very much enjoy this place and I’m now a regular customer.
great food
We had the crab fried rice and some appetizers tonight. The fried rice was some of the best new food that I've had in a very long time. It was phenomenal. We loved all of the other food as well. They've never disappointed. Job very well done. Thank you!
Been to Sandee's a few times now and everything tastes delicious and I love the quiet atmosphere.
Super fresh and lots of flavor, good amount of food too!
My husband and I have tried most of the Thai restaurants in Salem/Keizer and this one is the first we would say has excellent food. The pumpkin curry is delicious. We like their scale for spiciness of 1 to 5. We asked for mild, which the waitress said would be a 2 and it was perfect.
Wonderful avacado rolls! Fresh flavor!
Green basil sauce is amazing!
Thank you!! First time in tonight, I will be back soon!!!
Little strange place, kinda matching decor. Turn down the side street to find parking, don't turn in to the Dutch Bros.
The Thai Iced Tea came to the table already stirred, and we are not amused. Kinda weird unidentifiable squelchy background smell.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I just decided stay away from seafood.
We ordered Basil Fried Rice, one #40 the Evil Jungle and a Pad something. Side of peanut sauce.
Five star food. We sat in the dining room and heard chopping in the kitchen, a minute later the scent of fresh Basil ran amok over me.
Eat here.
One thing- $60 lunch.
The yellow curry level 4 was great, not as hot as you'd expect, I'll probably do a 5 next time, but it was tasty.
Great food and service
The food was fantastic and very well priced. I did takeout rather than dine-in so I didn't get to experience much of the service. What I did experience, though, was friendly and attentive.
I have to admit I was sad to see the BBQ joint close. I'm a big fan of variety. I was also pretty leery to see another Thai place open in its stead. However, it's good enough that I'm now pretty happy about having it so near to my house.
Fantastic food. Very fresh and flavorful. We had the tofu salad rolls, Evil jungle and Pad Thai. All were excellent and the customer service was on point. We’ll be back often! Delicious!
The best Thai restaurant in Salem/Keizer! Great food!
Ordered take out from here tonight and it was delicious. We ordered Yellow Curry, Spicy Cashew Nut, Pad Thai, Spicy Basil Fried Rice and Crispy Chicken. I picked “mild” or “medium” spice for each item and everything was perfect. Nothing too spicy to enjoy. Portion sizes were large and excellent for the price for sure. Ordering online was super easy. Most importantly…all the food was just really delicious and I will definitely eat here again! No complaints. I highly recommend!
This place is great! We ordered the lettuce wraps, chicken satay, thai tea, & orange chicken. The lettuce wraps are packed with flavor. Chicken satay is alright. The orange chicken is so fresh tasting, nothing like the artificial orange flavored chicken from panda express. We will be returning!
Amazing food at a good rate. Would give five stars but one of the six things we ordered wasn’t cooked all the way through so we had to toss it
Love it here ! Great food and service
Love this place! Been there several times! Great food! Great service! Glad we live walking distance!! I highly recommend! I especially like the Mango Wrap appetizers!!
My wife and I feel like we are living back in Chiang Mai when we dine here. Great staff and the food tastes like our favorite places we used to eat in Thailand. The massaman curry is perfect! Their 5 star spice level is great if you like "Thai hot."
Excellent food.
I can NOT believe how good this place is. Seriously. Everything I've tried, and my husband has tried becomes a new favorite. I am so hoping this place sticks around because so many businesses have failed in this space. Appetizers good, and always come with sauces to try. The pumpkin curry was orgasm good. Pad Thai always delicious. Mango sticky rice was great. I can't wait to go back.
Food was excellent
Great food for sit in or take away. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Friendly staff.
Best Thai cuisine ever tried.
Delicious food. The waitress' attitude is terrible however.
After seeing the reviews, I had high hopes and I like supporting local restaurants. I ordered green curry with beef, tom kha soup with chicken and fresh shrimp salad rolls. The two entrees were way too sweet! I love curry and theirs was beautiful, loaded full of vegetables and chicken, flavorful and spicy but too sweet tasting. Not just a mild sweetness that comes from the coconut milk. Same with the soup. I’ve never had a sugary tasting tom kha before. It was practically dessert-like. The portions for to-go were generous but the sugar was overwhelming and sadly we couldn’t finish it. Salad rolls were typical. Could have used more flavor, perhaps more herbs.
If they would offer a replacement, I’d give them another chance - I’d like them to have the opportunity to improve this rating.
Really good Thai food I don't like it too spicy of food but I could have got spicy here
Absolutely delicious! This will be our new staple local Thai restaurant.
DELICIOUS! Tried Chicken Pad Thai & Pad See Ew with Beef. Both amazing. May also be the cleanest restaurant in town! Beyond impressed.
I like your variety of choices. I am gluten intolerant. My gluten free curry is outstanding. I will be back for sure👍
Easily the best Thai in town. Everything we've eaten so far is delicious. Great eating in and take-out. Service is quality.
Lots of gluten free and vegan options. Yay. And so far, it’s by far the best Thai food I’ve had in the Salem area. 20/10 <3
Excellent food, service, and decor.
Amazing food!
