Modern restaurant with stir-fries, noodle dishes & other traditional offerings, plus beer & wine.
The yellow curry was great, the lemon grass chicken was good but the pad see ew was not good. Jasmine green tea was great.
Parking was on the road near by. At a active times it can difficult to get a park.
Bathroom was clean service was great, they were really nice.
Would return but I would just order curry next time π
Weβve had takeout from here before so we knew the food would be good, but this was our first time dining in. We ordered the Thai papaya salad, duck curry, and pad Thai shrimp, all medium spicy. We like a good amount of spice but beware that their spice levels are spicy! Next time we would get the papaya salad mild because it was definitely the spiciest of the dishes. The pad Thai had big shrimp that were cooked well, not overcooked at all. The duck curry has a lot of different fruits and veggies and a good amount of duck as well. The total bill was $48, which is very reasonable for the portion sizes. We will come back for the same dishes, just a mild version :)
1st time visiting. Excellent dinner. Chicken pad Thai was cooked perfectly and spice level was on point. Customer service was pretty good. Fermented pork and rice was something new to my palate and it was very tasty. My experience was excellent. I would recommend a visit.
Delicious food. We were a group of 6 ppl and ordered many of the items. The tatiest item is the oxtail muslim style soup. It tastes similar to haleem. It's so tasty that nothing else can match it. We also liked the basil fried rice, beef curry, tigers don't cry, volcano beef. I am definitely coming back for the oxtail soup
This is my happy place. The staff is so warm and kind. The food is outstanding. The gem of Orenco. Order anything. You canβt go wrong. I eat here once or twice a week. Itβs my favorite restaurant. I love the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Northern Curry Noodle, Swimming Duck in Red Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Fresh Rolls, House Special Beef Curry, and Stir-Fried Eggplant.
Good for low sodium people!
Not really conventional Thai food. If you don't normally eat Thai food you won't be disappointed I think, but if you do, you will be left with your craving unmet.
The Thai fried rice was crazy oily. I used to be a cook and its totally over the top, it also lacked any flavor.
The Tom Ka which they call coconut soup, has almost no galangal or lemon grass. It comes with one grape tomato cut in half and no rice.
The beef salad should be nice and sour with lemon grass and instead its sweet which is odd. It had very little greens which is weird since lettuce is cheap, and also no rice. You should be full after paying almost $20 but that was not nearly enough food.
Portions are small around, except for fried rice which was sizable
I didn't try the curry.
Nice people, great location, great atmosphere. Good place for people if you like low sodium and low spice.
Great food
Solid Thai. Well-prepared. Good flavors.
Great lunch deals. Dinner is a decent value too. Noodle dishes are meh but almost everything else on the menu hits the spot when you're craving thai cuisine! I like their fried rice and all things they have made with fish.
Didn't know what to expect and had low expectations coming in. Wow, was I wrong. This place is great! Came for dinner with a large group (called ahead). The place and menus were clean (even the restroom). The staff were polite and attentive. Drinks and food came out quickly and hot. The taste was very good. I was not disappointed.
This is my go-to place for team lunch
Mmm mmm good. Quite delicious. I had northern curry noodles with chicken. It was soo good. This is my new go-to place for curry. Thank you very much.
Amazing! Great service, fancy dine in at good price and the best thai food around
Quick service, quality food. I'm a fan of the khao soi (northern curry noodles) and the papaya salad is good, too.
Been coming here for about a year and a half and it never fails. I generally swap between the pad thai and stir fry eggplant, but the northern curry noodle is also delightful. Iβd skip the thai tea with cream though and opt for the thai lemon iced tea. Much more refreshing. Both are very good though.
Good food good people.
My favorite.
Best thai food in Hillsboro
The food was great and the service was excellent and very nice atmosphere
Best Thai food i have had in a long time!!!
Pad Thai was delicious. Be careful on the spice level... very hot is indeed very hot. The Thai iced tea was delicious as well!
Update: specifically asked for the pad see ew to be cooked longer and it was served very undercooked with vegetables essentially raw (cold). My stomach was quite upset when I got home. Disappointing. Might not return after this.
Tasty food at a decent price, and relatively quickly. Love the pad see ew (with extra veg) and the pad Thai is good too.
I've come here quite often and never been disappointed. They have good food and large portions at a good price and the staff are very nice.
This is the place that will take you to hospital and most likely you will expire because you ate their nasty food. I just ordered a basil fried rice. First of all it didnβt not look good and smell good, but I thought itβs okay maybe itβs my nose maybe I am smelling it. I took few bites and I could taste something gone bad. I stopped eating and after an hour I just couldnβt stop throwing up and now having upset stomach. I just donβt know why they wouldnβt check their food before sending it. Donβt buy from here.
The food was so so good but I just canβt justify the portion size. I paid 15 for basically half a cup of curry. It was essentially a cup of chowder. Not whatβd youβd expect for an entree. Other dishes came out for our group, were normal if not generous in size. I think I got 3 pieces of tofu?? Not even half a serving of red curry. Also Iβm allergic to eggplant so I asked for no egg plant. They didnβt ask me for a replacement and served me huge chucks of zucchini in it instead of which I canβt eat either due to an intolerance. I was so dissapointed and would not go back. The wait staff was aloof and slow. Would not recommend.
We are new to the area, and I am beyond grateful to have found this spot! Dining in is lovely, and the servers are incredibly friendly! I was so impressed with how smooth take out was when I got a craving for 9 Dang while in traffic on my way home. The Pad See Ew, Pad Thai and egg rolls are delicious, and I could eat my weight in their salad rolls. Couldnβt recommend them more.
I love this place. I get the yellow curry a lot and it's the best one I've had. The waitresses are always nice and the prices are super low too.
Good for low sodium people!
Not really conventional Thai food. If you don't normally eat Thai food you won't be disappointed I think, but if you do, you will be left with your craving unmet.

I didn't try the curry.
Nice people, great location, great atmosphere. Good place for people if you like low sodium and low spice.
Super good curry. Nice chair legs on the chairs. Forks were clean.
I have been going to this place for over seven years now. Though the impacts of inflation are visible in the choice and variety of veggies they have used in the past, the taste of the food continues to bring me back. I do miss bamboo shoots, baby corn, water chestnuts added to their entrees. They have pretty much restricted the veggies to bean sprouts green beans, bell peppers and Asparagus only now. That said, the place is always packed, food is good and it is one of my fav go to for Thai food in the Beaverton area. I highly recommend Panang curry, Pad Thai noodles, Egg rolls and Thai iced tea.
We ordered the Crab Fried Rice and Pad SEE-IEW. The food was tasty, but Iβd prefer if it was less oily. Still good though.
Amazing food, my go to Thai restaurant.
This is absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Hillsboro. We've tried virtually all of them over years. The oxtail soup is an absolute dream. Highly recommended.
Must try basil fried rice - spicy hot .. if you like spicy
I got really bad food poisoning from here. Never felt like that in my life, Incredibly sick. 36 hours of hell, took a visit to the ER. I won't be going back. In fact I am a bit traumatized to even go out to eat again any time soon. I will be giving them a call tomorrow.
This is one of our very favorite pie places in the region. We love getting drunken noodles and salad rolls, spicy fried rice, green curry, stirfry, and eggplant stirfry. The only thing is that the quality of the food isnβt quite consistent, especially in the Currie. Itβs always good, but sometimes itβs better than others.
Food was so bad that the person I got it for made me eat it and pay them back for the food they order.
1st time visiting. Excellent dinner. Chicken pad Thai was cooked perfectly and spice level was on point. Customer service was pretty good. Fermented pork and rice was something new to my palate and it was very tasty. My experience was excellent. I would recommend a visit.
The food is consistently good and the area is nice.
Excellent!!! Love the food!! So tasty as usual!!! Go you wonβt be disappointed!!! Great service and great food.
That was the best mango stinky rice I ever had.
Finally tried this spot after eyeing it whenever my roommate and I head to Orenco Station. It was good, quiet, and cozy.
Went here after ages and was so very disappointed to see the portion sizes. Ordered the stir fried ginger with ginger. Probably had 2-3 small chicken pieces at maximum. 95% of the plate was rice, 5% stir fry. Very disappointing. Flavors were decent.
Amazing variety of options & we loved all the food - esp the pier soup!!! Wait & cook staff very accommodating. Thanks!
Very Very nice waitress
Great service, great food. Eggplant dish was amazing, duck bun appetizer was surprisingly spicy but delicious. Fresh roll with shrimp and roe was ok but the peanut sauce was top notch. Mango and sticky rice had good mango but I wasn't super thrilled about black rice, which was a little firmer in texture, but it makes for great display and I ate every single grain anyway, so can't complain. Would recommend if you're dining on your own or with a group. Service was prompt and attentive. The fresh roll is usually cut in half but since our table of three was sharing, they cut it into 6 pieces without us even asking- so thoughtful!
Really cool little spot. The decorations and layout of the restaurant is above average. Food is good, not great and the price is a tad high for what you get.
Their food is sooo yummy, granted I am a vegetarian so I haven't had any of their meat dishes but every vegetarian option that I have tried (with Tofu) was delicious!
Food was grate out server was delitefull.
We were having a good lunch today, the waitress who took our order was very friendly and accommodating with dietary restrictions as well. Midway through my meal, I felt something crunchy and noticed that it was a chunk of egg shell. I mentioned it to the elderly lady staff who was at the billing counter. She didnβt say anything, but just took my plate (which still had about half the food). Didnβt ask if i wanted a replacement or wanted to order something else, but just came back with a bill of $2 reduced. I can understand the egg shell in food, but the service what followed couldβve been better.
Went there during the lunch time. The waitresses were very attentive and we were served 10 minutes after ordering even though the place was packed. The food was delicious. I highly recommend Nine Dang Fine Thai whenever you desire Thai food. I'm vegan and had the yellow curry my wife had cashew chicken we enjoyed them.
The best Thai food in Hillsboro, awesome service and great prices!
Our family LOVES Nine Dang Fine Thai! The servers are so sweet and they remember us, welcome us and often remember what we like to order. Most importantly, the food is AMAZINGβeasily the best Thai food weβve ever had. The vegetables are cooked to perfection and are so fresh. The sauces are perfect and subtle. One of the finest restaurants weβve visited. They care about the quality of their food and their service to customers. Very welcoming.
yeah so good
Excellent food, great menu choices.
Yummers! We LOVE this place! Try to get there early for dinner because it gets packed (for a reason).
The food is delicious! Soooo flavorful. Weβve eaten here MANY times. Itβs clean, the staff is terrific, the meals are plentiful, except that you should ask for your sauce on the side. They have a tendency to flood your plate with it. The prices are very reasonable, especially their wine! The only actual negative comment I must make is that they donβt time their meals very well. Often times one person gets their food while the other watches. Not a good practice. As far as service goes, Ashley and Sky are fantastic servers, if youβre lucky to get them!
This place might be small, but the food delivers BIG time. Every single dish we tried of our group of 20 was incredible and perfectly done. TRY THE FRIED THAI CHICKEN. Iβll be having dreams about this place. Seriously. WOW!
The food is great however when ordering online for delivery the portion sizes DIFFER GREATLY. Iβve dined- in store many times and gotten a good amount of food for the cost. However ordering online provided the opposite experience.
Will not be ordering online again since the portion sizes are MUCH smaller. Literally a 1/4 cup of rice⦠which I paid extra for sticky rice and ended up getting less?!
Good food, not overly priced, the portion is right and we always love going there! We are vegetarian and they have many options for us and each of them is delicious. Definitely recommended.
First visit. Delicious food...lots of veggies in my Peanut Sauce Delight and the sauce was unique...in a good way. I tried a bite of my granddaughters pad thai - it was very tasty as well. Look forward to a 2nd visit!
Almost no parking. Better off parking at government Hatfield off of first Street and then ride the max to Oregon station.
La comida estΓ‘ π€€ riquΓsima nos encantΓ³ mucho a mi familia
My wife and I live 4 minutes away. We eat there nearly every week. The staff is superbly friendly and always makes sure our experience is consistently excellent. They have an amazing chef. Compare Dang 9 to most other Thai restaurants and you will be astonished how good the food is and what a wonderful value it is. We hope they hold the line in terms of value and quality, because we want to keep coming there for many years!
Food is delicious and great for sharing with friends. I highly recommend the Pad See Ew. Service is friendly. Despite being busy on a Saturday night, my friends and I didn't have to wait too long to be seated. There is a parking garage nearby where you can pay for parking.
Best Thai restaurant
My first time here. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the red curry with chicken, hot. Very pleasant flavor without being overly sweet like many other Thai restaurants. Worth a second visit.
We ordered online for pick up New Years Day 2024 (not feeling 100% so no cooking that night)
Coming into the restaurant, it was very nice and cozy. Definitely will dine in next time.
Online ordering was simple and received confirmation when the order would be ready so no guessing when to pick up.
When I got home, we started to dig in and I actually found one of my orders was incorrect (wrong protein in a dish). I was able to contact the shop and explain my issue. The person who answered was super understanding and have logged down a credit for the dish for the next time we done there. That is great customer service.
The food was so good. Both satays we ordered were juicy and so flavorful. The noodles and curry were very tasty. Coming from Hawaii and eating Thai food there, it reminds me of that (definitely caters to what I believe tastes great).
I canβt wait to eat there again!
A consistently solid choice for lunch or dinner! Love their delicious curries and pad thai every time, but I would not recommend anything with duck. Friendly and quick service, and they take reservations for large groups. Parking at the Orenco parking garage is free for the first two hours, which is easier than trying to find street parking. It's also right at the MAX stop and centrally located for easy walking.
The best Pad Thai in town!
A quiet place to eat, good food and the waitress is nice.
They took a pic for us
I had the Volcano Beef. Excellent!
Meal is very well prepared. Food is small in size but the tastefulness is out of the world. Red curry is my favorite - yummy yummy
Service is great. I had the fried chicken and sticky rice. It really hit the spot. I forgot to take a photo. An easy go to Thai restaurant if you're in the area.
Great thai food with fast service. Small dinning room, and usually has open seats until you hit the rush. If you come in during the rush times, expect a little delay. The duck and lamb are great, and the lunch specials are a big hit too. Be careful of the volcano dish, it is litterally on fire.
Quite good
We had the pad thai, egg rolls, and yellow curry. All were very good.
Very good food and nice location
We ordered the panang beef curry and spicy basil chicken fried rice and both were delicious.
Food was fabulous. We enjoyed well.
Portion size is smaller than compare to other restaurants. But that is not my concern compare to their tasty food.
Delicious!
Food is really good, but portion is too small!
The variety of options makes sure there's something for everyone. The food was delicious and well cooked.
Cooks have a heavy spice hand. So order 1 lower and add your own if needed. Duck bun good crab wonton why fishy tasting? I order online spoke with them personally very helpful and enjoyable. I think ill go in .
Great tasting food in a cozy environment
Lost our order. Had to wait 30 minutes.
Our first visit. Despite being VERY busy, service was prompt, and the food was very good.
Ordered to go, my order had no plastic ware, went back to get it, short bleached haired lady was very unfriendly to see me back, will never eat there, food wasnβt fresh cooked, I can tell pre cooked and re heated.
Nice restaurant in a perfect location. Itβs close to train station and all perks of orenco station area. The food is delicious, although I am not the person to judge the authenticity :)
Perfectly decent Thai restaurant, but unremarkable in every way.
Truly amazing place, I highly recommend, smells like soap π but it's still fine.
I had dinner here with a friend last night after not having been since moving out of Orenco back in January and I missed their food so much! Nine Dang is so good that they've literally ruined other Thai places for me because their food is just out of this world delicious.
When I lived across the street I was ordering takeout here at least a 3 days a week, and the food was always incredible. I have texture issues and they've always been more than happy to accommodate my request for food without bean sprouts, tomatoes, or onion.
You can't go wrong with anything you order because everything is delicious, but my favorites are the drunken noodles, pad thai, and crab and cheese. I love that their crab and cheese isn't overly sweet like some places, and their noodle dishes are always perfect and never ever dry.
I was also pleasantly surprised that our server remembered me, even though I have a totally different hair color and haven't been there in over 6 months. The customer service is always as wonderful as the food!
I've been eating dinner here once every week or two for the last couple years. Service is great, and their yellow curry has me hooked!
Great really enjoyed our lunch
Quality is good. Quantity reduced over the years.
Good Thai food, cheap lunch
Delicious Thai food! Have to come back soon.
Great Thai food
We liked our Thai style food. Service was good.
Showed up 8:30 (they close at 9pm). We were seated, fed and finished by 9pm. Food and service were excellent.
I heard a lot of good reviews for this restaurant but was a little disappointed. I might not visit again. We were not greeted or given a smile while entering rather made a "why are u here" face. Portion size for the price is small compared to other Thai restaurants in town. Chicken satay had a little old smell like it was not very fresh & meat was chewy. Pad Thai was very sweet & chili sauce was not given on side as we requested. Spicy basil chicken fried rice was good & liked it. There is an enclosed public parking available right opp the restaurant & first 2hrs are free.
Never disappointed when I leave this place I love the service and the food is bomb π₯π₯π₯ #MyFirstReviewEver
Excellent food, excellent service. I love the location in Hillsboro's Orenco Station. Perfect Thai food that's as good or better than any other Thai restaurant I've been to. My favorites are the Cashew Chicken and the various Curries they have. I'm glad they have a lunch portion available. The folks working here are super nice as well. They bring out your food fast too.
Egg rolls βββββ
- crispy
- loved how light the sauce was
- long and comes with 4
Fresh roll ββββ
- had roe in it, which made it interesting
- loved the crunchy peanut sauce
Khao Soi (northern curry noodle) ββββ¨
- pretty good but was really toned down in terms of flavor
- wasn't spicy
- the chicken was quite good
Peanut sauce delight ββββ
- I liked this! It was really delicious and filling
- had it with shrimp
Delicious food.
Worst experience. Server didnβt take the order correctly, after multiple requests still didnβt have food. Waited for 40 mins and then someone responded that they will retake the order. Had to request cutlery, straws everything multiple times. Terrible service
Their curry powder noodles is the best!!
Great place for lunch, quick service and great food
Nine Dang has been a mainstay in Hillsboro for the past couple of years and for good reason. The food is consistently good, with generous portions for dine-in and an uncrowded setting. I admittedly only order the Drunken Noodles or Red Curry with tofu, but I've had friends try a number of other dishes, and the feedback has always been mostly the same--fresh ingredients and good flavor with just a bit of a kick (if you specify you'd like heat).
