Thai iced tea was probably my favorite. The quality of food was really good, the herbs were fresh and flavorful. Everything was seasoned well. I appreciated that they have Larb on the menu, I've been looking to try it for some time now.

Showed up not knowing if there would be decent vegan options and was surprised to find a simple fried tofu meal for around 8$. It was delicious, I don’t eat out much because of how often i’m disappointed but i’ll definitely be coming back to this place!

All dishes tasted same and same mediocre quality. We were seated at 9:30 pm and food came in around 9:45 and was asked to leave the restaurant at 10pm since they had to close. Owner , cook is the husband i suspect and the only other person working is the lady possibly wife .

The bestttttt place for a hearty lunch out, came here on a rough day emotionally and had that turned around immediately upon entering. The decor is homey and sleek, the portions were large, and the restaurant smelled so delicious. Our hostess was an absolute delight, and the food and drinks were out quickly with no compromise in portion size or depth of flavor. The thai tea here tastes like a milk-dipped cookie, the calamari was chewy and crispy, the noodles were springy, and although I didn't order the pad thai myself, I watched another patron recieve the largest mountain of deliciousness I've ever seen. 1000/10, the only thing that disappoints me is living on the other side of the country, but this place will definitely be a future stop on any drivea through the area and I'd recommend anyone visiting to make sure they swing through too!

Hubby and I ate here for lunch. We both ordered the lunch special. I had the Pad Thai/Stir fry Garlic pork and Massaman curry chicken special. The pad Thai was bittersweet, so a mild balance of the flavors was created. The Garlic pork had a nice balance of meat and veggies. The massaman curry chicken was slightly on the spicy side, but I loved the mix of white and sweet potatoes in this dish. The egg roll was crispy, but I would have preferred it to be just a tad bit warmer and not room temp. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the service was excellent.

People were so nice, I got the fried shrimp and my family got spring rolls and a coconut chicken soup and they were all SO delicious the sweet and sour sauce was impeccable. Smelled nice and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. The waitress was very kind and took care of us very well. Also very cheap for delicious and authentic food. Only costed $34 for 4 appetizers. 5/5 would recommend, I will come again soon!

Absolutley the best Thai food in Norman Oklahoma. Restaurant is small, nice, comfortable and inviting. The staff is extremely pleasant and the service is fast. Please visit and try thier Pad See-eew or soy noodle it is amazing.

You're going to get a LOT of food! I got the Evil Jungle Curry and the Green Curry Fried Rice. I got the EJC with a spice level of 3 and it was just the right amount of spice (for me) before it gets to be too much. It was so delicious. The Green Curry Fried Rice was probably the best fried rice I've ever had if not close to it! I got mine with chicken and man is it good! I highly recommend this restaurant; the food is amazing and if you have leftovers, or a break between eating, the flavors get even better. Phenomenal!

While passing through the area a couple of weeks ago, we decided to stop at Panang 8 Thai Restaurant in Norman, OK based upon the good reviews it already had. We were so pleased with the wonderful food and the friendly service 😊 .... will definitely be back!

Left the AMC theater and decided to try it. We ordered for three and talk about reasonable ! What a wonderful surprise. It’s authentic Thai food that can’t be beat. 5 chopsticks straight up. Go before or after the movie for a unique palate celebration. Bravo!

If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your meal, then this is for you. But I am not very impressed with their dishes. We tried fried calamari, fish cakes, fried tofu, spicy basil noodles and pad thai. I think spicy basil noodle was the still much better than other things we tried. Calamari wasn't fresh, tofu was ok, fish cakes were ok and pad thai was way too sweet.

Panang 8 replaced Chada Thai. The menu is a bit different with a wider range of regions. The service is still excellent and the food wonderful. The prices are average and the interior modest but clean. Try them out. You will not be disappointed.

Ordered via UberEATS, bought two BOGO dishes (BOGO WAS EVEN IN THE TITLE) and only got one of each. Called to ask the restaurant where the rest of the food is and I'm told I have to order two bogos, and be charged for each one, to get two orders.
That's not what a bogo is.
Not requesting a refund because we got what we ordered, which apparently translates out to "A SCAM"

I’m so sad Chanda Thai is gone. If it had to leave then I am happy that Panang is what replaced them. I’ve been waiting forever for Panang to come to Norman and it didn’t disappoint. The papaya salad was great (just keep in mind that even a level 2 is really spicy!) and Friday’s lunch menu items were awesome.

The prices are on point with the amount of food you get. Not like some other Thai places that charge a lot and you get half of what is reasonable for the price.

As far as a former review from someone re: it not being up to the standard of other Panang locations, it could have been because they had just opened and were training because now they are up to speed and it’s the same great quality of the other locations throughout the metro.

So glad you are in Norman now Panang 8!

Was visiting from out of town and loved the Spicy Basil Fried Rice. Nice atmosphere, would definitely eat here again.

This location is not up to the same standard of other Panang locations. The cooks there need training from the cooks at the Moore or SW 89th and Penn location. Hope they get better because this restaurant is nearer to where I live.
