My family and I often order from cozy Thai, but our latest order left me baffled. We had ordered a soup to go, and when eating it at home, I found a cockroach. I have attached photos for proof. We immediately called the cozy Thai restaurant and their only response was to offer another soup. The FDA has been alerted.. please be careful of what you order from here.

Visiting for the week and gave this place a try. Food was good. Service was a little slow but appears there is a healthy take away business. The seafood medley was full of seafood and medium heat had a pretty good spicy hit to it. The curry was lovely. Plenty of chicken and also included carrots and broccoli and bell pepper. I could have done without the bell pepper in the curry. We also had the veggie tempura. It wasn’t the best. Felt like some of the veg wasn’t cooked enough. Overall it was a nice meal and I’d go there again.

The water was the worst tasting water I've had at a restaurant, ordered a pepsi as soon as i could. The samosas were great, flakey crust and good flavor. I ordered the general tso's chicken. The presentation was nice, but the chicken had the weirdest consistency, i ate some since i was starving but could only stand so much. The rice was dry. Couldn't wait to get the check. We paid with cash and were shorted almost $10 change. I was actually surprised since I've heard so many good things, but I'll never recommend this place or go back again!

This is our go-to for thai food in the area. The dish that caught my attention the first time was the fried thin noodle. It's my favorite menu item. The curry is also amazing (pictured). The owner is the nicest man and always makes us feel at home. The whole team is wonderful. Highly recommend!

I am not from the area but I received a gift certificate. I was super excited to go but was told the restaurant would not honor the cert. They told me it expired a mere few days prior. Ive called numerous times to speak with a manager, but no one has been available. Unfortunately, while the food was good, i cannot say i will be returning, nor will i recommend this restaurant. Service matters and sadly, theirs was awful.

Came here from out of town and gave it a try. The food was fabulous, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere cozy, just like the name. Five stars. Recommended!

Wait staff was very attentive. Even though it was busy, they got the food out very quickly. Timing on Appetizers coming out first was on point.
Shrimp Tempura was superb. Perfect crispness on the exterior, soft interior.
Penang Curry Shrimp-Hot, was phenomenal.
Pad Thai with Shrimp-Hot, was outstanding.

Staff not that friendly. Food average at best. And get this…you dine in and pay with credit card they charge an extra 3%. I have never been to a restaurant that charged me more to pay with a credit card…wonder what’s going on.

A little off-putting from the jump since we sat down and the woman who came to fill our glasses with water realized we were missing a water cup and never came back to give us one. Would’ve been understandable for her to forget if they were super busy or something but there was only one other customer in the restaurant. Wasn’t until they came back to take our order that we were able to get a water for my fiancé as well.

Appetizers were pretty good. We got the shrimp tempura, veggie samosas, fried veggie dumplings, and edamame.

The General Tso entrée was supposed to come with rice and didn’t.

The Thai Basil Fried Rice with chicken had absolutely zero taste (other than a hint of whatever the taste from the chicken was - to me it tasted the way my dogs food smells - to my mom it tasted fishy - either way not pleasant). Also pretty certain this dish had never been touched by basil.

The Pad Thai was just as basic and bland (again other than the faint weird taste from the chicken).

All together a pretty big let-down unfortunately.

We had ordered Panaag curry, basil fried rice, Samosa and edamame. Food tastes not so good, below average. That water served at the restaurant has very wired taste to it. Staff were very unprofessional and service was very slow. For anything that I need while eating, I had to go to staff/server to ask for it. When it was time for payment, we got the hand written check and the staff had added 18% tip; when we inquired about it with staff, they told us that “it’s a New York State law; if any restaurant is serving more than 3 people then 18% tip is charged automatically”. This is for the very first time any restaurant has charged us 18% tip in NY because we were more than 3 people.
This is unacceptable. If you need 18% tip then work on your professionalism, food and service. If these 3 things are good and on point, clients will give you 18% tip happily and the restaurant doesn’t have to beg for it.
I’m not returning to this restaurant ever.

I’ve unfortunately run out of chances that I’m willing to give to Cozy Thai. The location is extremely convenient for us, but the people taking the order either refuse to follow simple request, or they simply don’t listen. More than once I have asked for a specific spice level on our Pad Thai orders and have ended up receiving the most plain and bland meals I’ve ever had. Today I ordered hot, with the hope that it would at least be medium, two times I verified that my request was understood, what I ate was a plain and boring meal, absolutely no spice. I’ll no longer spend my money on take out that is a consistent risk. They won’t listen to our requests, so I’ll take my business elsewhere. Disappointed is an understatement.

Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. Our food was extremely fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere, inviting. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing restaurant! Every time we visit I’m overwhelmed by the quality of the food and service.

My wife and I had dinner here and loved this place. We had Veggie fried dumplings and Won ton soup for starters. Basil Fried rice and Thai Rice noodles for dinner. All the food was amazing and the servers were super friendly and prompt. The prices were very reasonable for the portions of food we got. Will definitely be back!

The staff is awesome, I learned so much about different rice and noodles. The food was authentic and amazing. Not being from New York, we were looking for asian/thai food on a Sunday afternoon and did a google search that had good reviews. This place fit the bill. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and sat promptly, placed our order from a very knowledgeable waiter, and the delicious food was at our table in minutes. I highly recommend visiting Cozy Thai.

Failed NYS health inspection due to multiple species of cockroaches both dead and alive found in the kitchen. Raid ant and cockroach spray found near the dishwasher. Potentially hazardous foods NOT properly refrigerated. Some food deemed “unsafe for human consumption” quote from NYS health department website. Grease dripping from ceiling and walls. Hole in the ceiling.

This has become my favorite restaurant in Hamburg. I've tried half of the menu now and would reorder every single dish. Our favorites are the Tom Kha soup, cashew special, and green tea noodle.

Personally I was not thrilled for the food. It lack seasoning. The pad Thai I ordered I had to put so much hot sauce and other spices at my house to taste something. The mango sticky rice had tapioca pudding which to me shouldn’t been together with the rice. But other than that great service.

This place was amazing 10 out of 10 I fell in love with the cook through the food. something very special about this place. Also had the best dessert of my life hands down the mango rice is to die for.

One of our top restaurants. Great staff, food, and environment. Can't wait to revisit, highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious Thai food. I had the chicken pad Thai to try a baseline food item and it was so good… the Thai iced tea was flavorful too and service was fast and efficient. You can even choose the level of spice you want on every dish.

Great Thai food! Like Really Great! My Lady and I live the place and they don't use a bunch of MSG's in their sauces and food! In my opinion it's the best Thai food in the area. Seating is limited, however Fantastic Food!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The worst thing about this restaurant is the smell when you walk in. Overwhelming chemical air freshener smell, like bathroom spray 🤮. Absolutely terrible and it's strong to the point that you can't even enjoy your food. We ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were decent. Ordered the chicken pad Thai which was very disappointing. Did not have the flavor that pad thai should have, there was no spice to it, it had an earthy flavor that reminded me of brown gravy. Atmosphere was nice and clean, limited seating , small restaurant. Service was good.

In town on business and wanted to eat something good. I'm so happy this place was close to the hotel! The Thai Mix Vegetable with chicken and it was amazing! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I will definitely return whenever I'm in the area!

The food is normal but the service is unexpected, only one server and she was quite busy for other things. It was strange that she insisted us to pay 18% above tips. Other clients said it should not be like this. Not suggesting to anyone as the service was quite disappointing

Cozy Thai is one of my favorite Thai go to's and the service I had tonight was beyond horrible. We got sat in the table in the far back when it wasn't even a busy time, our server never came to ask us for our drinks until 15 mins after we sat. We had an appetizer and after we were done eating that we were still waiting to put our dinner order in. She finally came back and we ordered two soups and an entree each. 20 mins go by, our soups never came she drops off our entrees I asked about our soup she acted like she was confused about our soup... She brings them out and I asked to speak to a manager (which I never do) and she literally laughed at me and went and cleaned a table.

I got up to find someone, apparently there was no manager or owner on site so I spoke with someone else who also laughed at us while we explained our experience and kept saying the server was very sick and didn't feel good and was short staffed. Mind you... There were only 3 other tables in the restaurant and why the hell would you tell me my server is very sick? She looked completely fine by the way but if she's that sick why is she even there? Anyway, whoever we spoke too said we didn't need to pay for our food. I was ready to leave either way, but my sister was really hungry so we just decided to finish our dinner and leave.. as she tried her soup there was a hair in it so we just left. I'm so disappointed. I will probably never return again which is sad because I loved that place. Worst service I have ever had anywhere.

We were delighted with this find. Six of us dined and enjoyed Spring Rolls (vegetarian & meat) as well as delicious entrees (pad thai, penang curry, roast duck, crispy chicken, saucy chicken). Every dish was outstanding! We will certainly return for more scrumptious meals.

Wayy too much added sugar in the panang curry sauce. Also, got absolutely ripped off on the amount of seafood in my seafood curry. Overall, disappointed. Overpriced and for no good reason.

My wife an I used a gift coupon that had expired 3 days earlier and the owner graciously accepted our coupon. He patiently explained the menu options and flavor/spice profiles of each dish. The food was fantastic. We will definitely come back again.

The restaurant is always clean and the staff are welcoming and professional. Portions are generous, flavors are on-point, and they do very well to respect differing levels of spice tolerance. I have tried multiple dishes and they seem to do everything well. You can't go wrong choosing Cozy Thai!

Great food, food came quick and the service was great. Drinks stayed filled, and the beef salad was amazing. The place wasn't too packed which I liked, and even if it was at capacity you would still have plenty of room.

Edit: 5 years later I've moved this from 4 to 5 stars. I've eaten here a few more times and never had an issue. The interior is also much nicer now. My only complaint is they do so much take out business and have people standing around you while you eat.

The food makes up for the lack of staff, the veggie spring rolls are some of the best in the GBA. And the pho bo is always tasty!
We tried a random dish off their specials list, the green tea noodles (we got the mixed seafood option) delicious!
A go to super cute date night ambiance, and very friendly server, even when busy. And open on Mondays.

Ordered takeout. Maybe the cook was different on a Monday night? Our meals didn’t resemble the reviews that are 5* at all. Panang sauce was so thin and dish had tofu that wasn’t fried - just hunks of raw tofu. Very minimal veggies. Overall the lowest Panang in the area. Pad gra pow sauce was so watery and dish was filled with canned sliced bamboo. Not what I expected at all. There were a few thin slices of green pepper and 2 little pieces of red pepper. I’m sorry but this isn’t good quality. The chicken was good quality so I ate that. I had to add Hoisin sauce at home to make it taste like anything. It’s local veggie season. Go get some at the local market and make these dishes better!

Done of the best curry I've had. The owners are Burmese, I would to encourage then to add some Burmese dishes to the menu. I had the third curry listed on the menu, I can't remember it's name.

The food was delicious! The dumpling sauce was amazing, and the dumplings themselves weren't overly doughy. Nice balance of dough to filling.

I have had the green curry, the red curry, and the chicken satay. The chicken satay didn't quite hit home. However, the green and red curry were both phenomenal dishes.

My friend got some whole fish steamed (I think) dish, and I tried a piece of that as well, and it was good, probably a real hit if you're a seafood fanatic!

The waitress didn't ask what spice level we wanted. 2 out of 3 dishes were pretty bland in general, non the less for Tai. The appetizers were amazing! They came pretty fast, but our entrees took about an hour after the appetizers came out. There is definitely a language barrier. The atmosphere is gorgeous, they really did a good job renovating.

I came in from out of town and was starving. The atmosphere is very receiving and cozy. I was greeted upon walking in and seated right away. The food was amazing as was the service. Highly recommend if you are wanting Thai food.

The owner/host/take out runner/amazing man who runs this place is worth his weight in gold. I have now been here several times and always tried his suggestions, they keep getting better. Love this “Thai”. Must try for a quiet cozy Thai meal with flavors that only exist in salivary glands. Thank you so much. Cannot wait to come back. Best Thai I have ever had, and I lived in the pacific for half a decade.

Absolutely a delightful meal!!! Have been here a few times, probably our favorite Thai place. Tonight we had the Mango Rice desert - FANTASTIC!!!. It will not be our finish, even if more food goes home. Great staff with great food in a great atmosphere.
