A classic Thai menu of curries, noodles & soups, plus wine & beer, served in a traditional space.
Of all the local owned places in the Mayfield Heights area, Bangkok consistently ranks among the best between me and my peers. Service is fast, the staff are extremely attentive and friendly towards customers (taking a point to remember our names each time we come back), and the food is incomparably good. I’m a spice fiend and Thai doesn’t mess around with their higher level spiced meals.
This is the real deal. A friend of mine introduced me to this place and I’m so delighted that I went back. To take out and my husband and I really enjoyed the flavors. The woman who works at the desk is so friendly and kind and I definitely see people coming in just happy to see her. I’ll be back!
Bangkok is one of my two favorite Thai restaurants in the region (the other being Peppermint Thai). While the latter is more upscale and refined, Bangkok offers straightforward, no frills (and no table service), but exceptionally delicious food. Everything we’ve tried here - and we’ve been multiple times - has been outstanding, especially the tom yum soup, Bangkok in love, pad Thai, and stir fried eggplant. And, for the chili aficianados, the kitchen really brings the heat! Pro tip: if you like it excruciatingly hot, you can both order food “death level” (which is a notch above their “Thai hot”) and also request some of their home grown peppers on the side. 🔥 The family who run the restaurant are also a real treat, and the sweetest people you’ll meet!
Met with my mother for launch this was one of the worst dinning out experience I've had. The food and service was awful including the one drink I purchased was supposed to be a signature margherita and was served in a plastic up with an old dried unappealing lime slice that was so old it was black and a shriveled dry purple flower. The alcohol was so strong it gagged me, get this it was served in a full 12oz cup and I drank half with no affects of alcohol at that point I became suspicious I'll leave it at that, I pushed it aside and didn't finish it. The place needed a good cleaning and every booth seat was ripped with the white cotton sticking out except for the last one which we choose. Ok wheww, we were summoned to a window and was informed that there was no table service and we would have to order our meals and drinks from the window and seat ourselves. We were handed a folded paper menu and sat down. Someone brought us a pitcher or water [ no ice]
and two plastic disposable cups. I'm still trying to give this place a chance so I got up went to the dark window and ordered Pad Thai Noodle and Crazy Noodles which had a two pepper rating. I also ordered a Coke which was a barely cold can of Coke served with a plastic disposable cup of ice. Our food was served to us in a plastic meal prep container the kind you get from Walmart to store food or meal prep in. Get this they weren't even the same color! One was white the other was black lol and were given plastic disposable silverware to boot. The Pad Thai was horrible almost tasted rancid I had three bites and that's it, I started feeling nauseous. My mothers dish was more like a 4 pepper spice rating instead of twoand she choked with each mouthful it was so spicy! She didn't east much of it either. The soy sauce was presented in a fingerprint and grease stained plastic thingy with a few crumbs attached it needed a good washing to say the least. We also ordered spring rolls which were greasy, practically empty and dry. The sweet and sour sauce was a little plastic cup of some bright pink surgery water? Oh yeah, while we gone to the restroom which contained a urinal and toilet [ i guess they made the mens room an Unisex bathroom] someone came and took back our take out menus! No problem because we had no intentions of returning ever! You've been warned. With a bill of almost $50 bucks, I was extremally disappointed. Saying the whole experience was sub par is being nice.
Btw when we left I went next door to a Bbq place and got some really yummy food to eat at home. The best part was spending time with my moo ma, its always the best part.
We were in town visiting and had a craving for Thai food. First place we chose was closed so this was the second on the list and I'm soooo glad we went. Customer service great, loved how friendly the lady taking orders and greeting us was. Food came out quicker than I expected and was so delicious. I got the shrimp pad thai, vegetable gyozas, Thai tea and black mango sticky rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, I wish there was a larger serving for the mango sticky rice, but it was still delicious. Didn't get to take pics of my husband's food but he enjoyed it as well lol
This is the real deal. A friend of mine introduced me to this place and I’m so delighted that I went back. To take out and my husband and I really enjoyed the flavors. The woman who works at the desk is so friendly and kind and I definitely see people coming in just happy to see her. I’ll be back!
Food and service was great, I’ll bump it to 5 stars after my next trip here as long as it’s consistently good.

Food is always consistently fresh and delicious.
Great food, nice people! Emerald noodles are amazing
Incredibly friendly staff and amazing food! The Crazy Noodles are crazy good! Love their fried rice and spring rolls. Best Thai food in the area!
Our local and go to place when we're feeling Thai food, which is often because the food is so good here
I was looking for some really good Pad Thai. I didn't find it here. The service was good. The atmosphere is warm. You had to service yourself once the food was ready if you dine in.
Love this place.
This place is by far and away my favorite place to get food from. I come here regularly, at least 1-2 times per week, and never had anything but a phenomenal experience. I have tried every other thai spot within 15ish minutes, and this is easily my favorite. Pat & Peaches are the best, they will likely be the ones at the take out/order window. Their customer service is great, atmosphere is great, my food is always done on time, and always consistently tastes the same and great. I would recommend the crazy noodles, bangkok fried rice, pad thai, or pad see ew. 10/10 everytime, do yourself a favor and eat here!! (If parking is scarce in front, there is an entrance/parking in back.)
Excellent food and super friendly service, absolutely would recommend
Great food!
Comic book guy only leaves 5 Stars and 1 Stars… 1 Star being the Last Jedi and 5 Stars being Empire Strikes Back.
The fried rice equates to “Join me and together we can rule the Galaxy, Father and Son!”
The appetizers are as delectable as fried Tan Tan… that’s a complement for those keeping track!
This restaurant is the best Thai restaurant in Cleveland and maybe even the Galaxy.
“With Great Thai food comes great reviews” so with that.
Best restaurant ever…
Good quality meals in a very casual setting.
Food is amazing. We take out, as the atmosphere is no where near as good as the food.
Seriously the BEST Pad Thai I’ve ever had!! Also, All the staff is super nice and friendly! Definitely recommend!!!
Best restaurant in Cleveland, hands down! Pad ped, tamarind chicken, and pad thai are all exceptional. The lemongrass soup (off menu but always available) is unique and refreshing. Local, family owned, fresh and flavorful, and everything is made from scratch.
The best Thai food around!!!
Twice recently I have ordered from there and they’ve cheated me on their golden rolls. First time they were empty. They were just dough with no veggies or meat inside. This second time I ordered them, and didn’t check my bag. Drove home and found they were missing from my bag. Can’t drive back another 25 mins. to correct it. If you call, don’t expect an answer. Busy signal! Crazy noodles dish is great but I’m seeing that service and other dishes are suffering. The place used to be great.
Bangkok fried rice has always been and will always be a favorite of mine. Super delicious!
Best Thai food on the East side
Love their Pad Thai! Really like their new format where you walk to back to order and can sit at a table and eat there ro take out. Very fast for high quality food. Can customize the order. They have alcoholic drinks, deserts like sticky rice with custard or mango, tea, etc. Basically, something for everyone, you can't go wrong here. Wheel chair friendly. Parking is only one row in front in one direction, they need more on a busy day.
Excellent hostess, amazing. Wonder how she handles all the calls, orders, money taking, plus serving diners, but she does! Very friendly and helpful, multi-language.
If I wasn’t hungry, I would have thrown it away. Had Pad See Eew…. Noodles not typical wide noodle. Noodles were burnt and so was tofu. No sauce. Completely dry. A disaster.
Always delicious!
Typically we go for take out since the “dine in” is self served. The food is great!
My favorite Thai restaurant! They even have great vegetarian options. Everyone on staff is always so nice and helpful. I'm Left smiling after picking up my order! The food is delicious and they have some unique items that you can't find anywhere else. The tamarind crispy basil chicken is my favorite and such a unique and flavorful dish.
Just ordered the chicken Pad Thai noodles and I'm very disappointed with the portion size, You get a much bigger portion at Siam on 40th and St. Clair.
We had to do take on Valentine's Day because they had staffing issues. The woman taking the order was a gem though. Super friendly and empathetic to us having to take our food to go. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
I go back and forth on this place. Not sure what to make of it. Food is generally good. Only issue is that I order the same spice level in my food every time, but it is very different from time to time. So one time it is low on spice and sometimes it is a barn burner. Portions are super inconsistent. On this last trip, my son and I each ordered chicken Pad Thai. One of the orders had half the portion of the other. Unclear why this is. Menu prices have increased substantially and probably worth it, but there isn't any service to speak of. Whether you order to eat in or to go, it is just a pick up window. 5hia hasn't stopped them from asking for tips, which may be a different issue. But I don't appreciate businesses that ask for tips, but don't provide service.
They gave us uncooked food with extremely high spice level, when I told them they were super rude
This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the entire country
I would go there every day if I could and the food is very very good!
Mackenzie, 9 yr old
Dine in is self explanatory. Order and they will bring out. Can’t express how friendly the young lady (Peach) was with taking orders and answering the phone. She kept a smile and made perfect recommendations. Tried the mango fried rice and was stating out with mild seasoning (1). Can’t wait to try the next level. Food was prompt and delicious.
Everybody is so friendly Service is right on spot and I enjoy going there for the atmosphere. Love the food
Jackie
Good food, servers are very accommodating. No MSG used! Love it
best Thai food on the east side!!
Best pad see ew in the area, filled with flavor and a nice sized portion for a great price. Have been back many times!!

Love this place popping hot delicious food.
Wrong person. Maybe another family member went and usued my information stop using my information for whoever personal gains
This place is an absolute gem. If you like Thai food, or if you don't know, this is the place to go.
Incredible food, perfectly prepared, nice and simple dining room and very friendly, helpful staff.
One of my very favorite places to eat.
Wanted to go to Peppermint Thai, they were not open for lunch.
Best Place for thai in cleveland....crzy noodles is must try
My wife is Thai, and I have made many trips to Thailand. This is as close to real Thai food as Cleveland has to offer, and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The place inside is very simple, much like any local restaurant in Thailand.
Amazing pad thai! It's worth the ride to Lyndhurst. Enjoy!
This location was an Italian restaurant when I was growing up in the 90s. My sister worked here and my Famiglia ate here frequently throughout my childhood..!
Very happy to see it as a family owned Thai restaurant in our hometown.
Tom Kha Gai with shrimp is my fav..! 10/10 would recommend. !!!
Food is good and service is fast . Prices are very reasonable
This is a hidden gem! Great food, exemplary staff. Will come back.
My go-to lunch, Bangkok is always quick and the food is always great.
Order here about 100 times already . Staff Always so friendly, and the food is so good , always recommend my friends here if they want to eat Thai food .

The place was short staffed and very busy. The two employees were so warm and welcoming. Even though it was busy we were welcomed and brought a pitcher of ice cold water and cups. After the order was placed there was not a long wait for food. It was hot, fresh and tasty! Our party of 5 sure enjoyed the food! They serve milk tea. I'm not a fan but a member of our party had three! An enjoyable experience! I'll be back for sure!
So... We found this place by accident. It was date night and the place we were planning on going was closed, so we decided to mix things up. Very glad we did! At this point, I'd say we're actually addicted to their food. We don't live in the area, and we find ourselves making excuses to drive an hour out of our way just to eat here. Recently, we've resorted to not only dining-in, but also ordering some food to take home with us.
Food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I always recommend Bangkok to friends. Highly recommend!
We were in town visiting and had a craving for Thai food. First place we chose was closed so this was the second on the list and I'm soooo glad we went. We order for pickup frequently so it's about time I left a review. Well-deserved 5 stars for the best pad Thai I've ever had. Thanks for making delicious food! Support local family owned business and order Thai from them next time you're thinking about it. Food is also very affordable, we usually run about $40 for 2 and that's including an appetizer. The portion sizes are also great and I cannot finish it in one sitting. I only ever get the same thing (creature of habit) but everyone local I know loves this place, too.
Had the pad Thai with shrimp for dinner & was amazing. Egg rich and the shrimp were nice-sized, cooked perfectly and sweet. Best pad Thai I've eaten in Ohio. if I had to mention any improvement, I would say more green onions would have made it even better. The chicken mango curry was just OK. The chicken and vegetables were steamed not stir fried. It did have some nice, sweet chunks of mango, but the sauce was very thin and the chicken, though generous, was bland, as were the vegetables.
Always great food and service. Have been about dozens of times for lunch.
Love this place. The curry is very very good. A little sad they are short staffed, but the staff is always upbeat and super friendly. This is our go to spot. Keep it up!
I got the Crazy Noodles with Chicken and the Tom Yum Kai soup. Both were amazing. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu.
They’re so friendly and make all of us feel like family. The food is incredible, you can tell it’s cooked with love.
After Covid hit , they turn the service from restaurant to be food court, self -service style. I love it because it's no fuss no muss and fast! Recommend street food style menu, Basil stir fry (Pad Gra Pao) with simple egg ( Kai Dow) on top of some rice and Thai ice tea, it's perfect for lunch meal 😊
Best Thai I have ever had
This place is REALLY good. Definitely authentic Thai. I was a little worried when we first walked in, reading their sign about service changes with staffing issues (order at the counter, all food served in to-go containers, etc). But the food and the service did not disappoint!! All staff members were kind, pleasant, and helpful. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely wonderful! Definitely the best Thai we've tried in the region! Highly recommend! We will be returning again and again!
Friendly, fast, efficient service. Great food, reasonable prices. Love the drink menu, mango juice and Thai iced tea! All my favorite Thai dishes in the menu.
Very average Thai cuisine. It was definitely better before. Last time we ordered from them was maybe a year ago, maybe a bit more, but quality went down a bit. Still good, but not as good as before. We ordered few different dishes for carry out, one of them (drunken chicken, I think) was so spicy that it was inedible (we asked for it not to be spicy so not sure what happened).
Not sure if we will be back.
Easily the best pad Thai you're going to find on the east side!
Usually great but of late not the same
Always delicious and consistent. Got our food take out and was still piping hot when we got home. I always get fish sauce, chili pepper powder, and the home-made sweet and sour.
I called and asked about what I wanted to order. By what the woman said I ordered.. it was not what I was expecting and the ginger was so heavy it was more ginger strips than veggies.. my mouth was burning. I love ginger but this was way too much and no other flavor. I called to tell her that bc I wanted to order something else. Woman rudely said well if you don’t like ginger, then you shouldn’t order something with ginger in it.. I said that was not the case! and not nice…she then hung up on us! So rude!!!! Food was terrible and customer service even worse. That was the last time I will go there! Can we stop blaming Covid for horrible service and not caring if the customer gets good food or service?
Food was awesome. Spicy, flavorful, and high quality ingredients. I got the chicken hot basil and it was delicious. I definitely will be coming back to this place.
Really good food
Best Thai food in the us. I go here for lunch often and cannot express how good all the food is and service is immaculate
Best Thai place in Cleveland!!! Good service and fast serving!
Price is very reasonable. We spent $70 for 2 but cannot finish the food, take togo and it was enough for another meal
Strongly recommend
Nothing wrong with the place, but it's more "fast food"-like than I had expected.
Dishes are served in plastic containers, with plastic utensils.
Food was also completely fine, but not noteworthy.
I'd give the place 3 stars, but the plastic waste was a bit too much for me (for environmental concerns) and I'll not be coming back
I have no idea what in the world these bad reviews are talking about (yet they have very little bad reviews), .......THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I'm a super......SUPER NIT PICKY type when it comes to Thai food. I've tried Thai places on the west side, and all over Cuyahoga county. Trust me.....this is the best one! They're Spicy Basil Fried rice.....OMG!!! So good!! I should file a lawsuit on them for making something taste that delicious and now I can't seem to stop getting fat on always coming here to eat 😆😆 Seriously, you guys are the best and very friendly!
The food and service were excellent.
The pad thai was the best I've had in a long time. Service was great! And the server Pat was attentive, courteous and just really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai Cuisine.
Be careful with getting spicy, first place I've asked for spicy and it was very very hot. The food was great though!!!
I love this place. They are so quick usually food is ready before I can pick it up! Always fresh and hot. I have never had a bad experience. Once we had a communication issue and I received the wrong item, no problem at all they were happy to remake what I wanted. Take out is always busy for a reason
I go here when I'm in town for business and I look forward to it each time. I've never been disappointed and gladly recommend to friends and coworkers.
Omg.....omg...! Now i dont eat thai food, due to alot of other thai food places not haveing good flavors. So i was very concern when i ordered. But my coworkers told me about the food here and so i tried it. The crazy noodles are out of this world with flavor and the bancok fried rice was great. Great now im going to be addicted to this place.
Eat-in service was fast and friendly despite no no host or wait staff. Unfortunately the food was just ok. Pad Thai was too sweet and noodles were way too firm. It had practically no veggies. Dumplings tasted like mediocre frozen ones you can buy at any Asian grocer.
Just drove over an hour to get here for dinner and they are closed for dining. Take out only yet not one of their socials or website shows this. Super frustrating
Let me start the review by saying I would eat here again in a heartbeat. The staff was great, the prices were great, the service was fast. That said, my pad see-ew was a bit overdone (burnt flavor). I still ate the entire thing, hence four stars.
Best Thai place. So welcoming !!
The larb is excellent and so are the golden rolls and sauce.
Always great food and friendly too!
I was referred to Bangkok Thai by someone and I am so glad I decided to give it a try! I got pineapple fried rice, Thai ice tea, mango sticky black rice & golden rolls for lunch on 9/13/22 and then I went back for dinner on 9/16/22. I got pineapple fried rice (again), chicken broccoli and mushroom stir fry and Thai custard over black sticky rice. The food is absolutely delicious!! I was a little worried at first because appearance wise it looked like it was going to be a bit bland, but thankfully I was wrong. Very flavourful and so worth every penny. This has definitely become my favorite Thai place . Bonus: The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommend going here!
Not sure why everyone raves about this place... it is ok. The food is not great and not bad. It is pretty mediocre for Thai food. It always seems watered down, like some of the flavor was removed to better suit the american palate. Also, it is more expensive than it tastes. Again, not bad, just not good either.
Attentive and warm staff, plus delicious food. My husband and I love coming here when we’re in the area as a treat. We live a little further away so this isn’t our go to Thai place but the food here is delicious!! They currently don’t do dine in plates or cutlery but the cooking makes up for the lack there of. Truly delicious thai food, and all of the dishes are good - not just their signature pad thai, fried rice.. ALL!! We take our friends here when they’re in town because we know the food is going to be a hit no matter what. Tip: Even if you like spicy food, go with spice level 2. I’m Korean so I love spice but if I order spice level 3, I’m drinking milk while i eat 😂
Such amazing food and the staff is seriously the nicest ever!
Not fancy but food was delicious
They've changed the setup to cafeteria-style, so you grab a table, order at the window, and they pop out with the same amazing food as always. Very efficient and lovely atmosphere.
Every time this place delights. You are going to be getting exactly what you are hoping to get when ordering from here. AND everything will taste great. Since Covid the indoor dining experience is not great but who cares when the food is as good as it is?
We stopped here as we drove from Erie to Columbus today. It’s so clean and the service and food… wow! we will be back. The phone kept ringing with orders and the two employees at the front kept a smile and did not miss a beat. The food was coming out quickly and it was the best Thai food we have ever had. We will be back!
Ordered Pnang curry and drunken noodles to be bitterly disappointed.
Loved the pad thai!!
This is our favorite thai place. The staff is always friendly and the kids love it to. Their drinks are also great.
Some items were good others not so much, decent service.
They aren’t open. Sign says closed until May 17th. Would love to try the food.
No reason to review poorly other than there was no way of knowing they were closed until we physically got there. Calling states went to voicemail immediately saying “mailbox is full”. They do show as closed via Grubhub.
Delicious Thai food. No service here. Order at the window and eat out of take out containers.
My favorite restaurant in Lyndhurst. I'm not an expert on Thai food but this is the best tasting I've had, great portions and prices too. They're always right on target with the heat, and the vegetables and noodles are so good. The people here are super friendly and prompt.
As of April 2021 it's a sort of counter service, they are not doing the full service sit-down restaurant thing right now, I'll update if that changes. You can order ahead and take out or eat in, or order at the kitchen window. Which is cool, I'm glad they're still making the good Gra Pao!
Our experience was beyond awful. The place was dirty and the food was not good. They close at 2:30 and we got there around 2:10. We got our food quickly and began to eat. At 2:30 we were about half way finished with our meal and they asked us to leave. We stated that we would like to finish our food and would eat as quickly as we could. The staff brought out their lunches and were eating as we were finishing up. At 2:45 I was using the restroom and I came back to the girl telling my elderly mother that we had to leave immediately. I was not happy that the girl was harassing my 78 year old mother and sternly told her that we were leaving. She escorted us to the door and told us never to come back. I was holding the door for my mother to exit and as I turned around to close the door behind me the girl pushed it back at me and said "look who is stronger". We have dined at many restaurants and have never had to leave the minute they closed and we have never been treated with such disrespect. We both also worked at restaurants and had people eating far past the stated closing time.
Great food and friendly staff.
Best Thai restaurant in Cleveland. Not only that but the staff is amazing and super friendly. Always consistent and family run. This place deserves 10 stars.
Cozy atmosphere, affordable, good service, great food!
Excellent food, quick and easy pickup. Be careful with the heat level you choose - their spice levels are no joke! The crazy noodles are crazy delicious!
This place is incredible! The portion sizes are perfect, and the flavor is authentic! I love getting spicy dishes but also really enjoy a simple cashew nut dish. The service is also super friendly! Can’t wait to come back ☺️
I enjoyed lunch today at Bangkok Thai Cuisine. This is my first visit to Bangkok Thai Cuisine located on the north side of Mayfield Road in Lyndhurst, Ohio. There is one row of free diagonal parking in front of the mini-mall where Bangkok Thai Cuisine is located. There is additional free parking at the rear of the mini-mall. There is an entrance to Bangkok Thai Cuisine from the rear parking area. The staff makes for a truly enjoyable dining experience. They greet you when you arrive and are helpful with your questions when you order. They work hard to ensure you enjoy your visit. They check back frequently to ensure you are enjoying your meal. They quickly wipe off the table when folks leave. During Covid, there is limited dine-in seating (less than half the dining room is available for dine-in seating). I grabbed the last open table for the lunch service. There is a steady stream of take-out customers. The amount of diners and take-out customers speaks well for the popularity of Bangkok Thai Cuisine. You order and pay at the counter and the staff brings your food to you. I started with the steamed chicken and vegetable dumplings served with soy ginger sauce. Next, I had the hot and sour vegetable tofu Tom Yum soup. My entree was the vegetable Pad Thai which is stir-fried rice noodles with egg, Tofu, bean sprouts, scallions and ground peanuts. They offer four levels of spice levels. The restaurant is clean. The uni-sex washroom is clean but dated. You will enjoy the service and food at Bangkok Thai Cuisine.
Great food
Food was okay. Unfortunately the rice was just so starchy and mushy. No texture at all and too wet. Don't think I'll go back. They do seem popular.
The family that runs this restaurant are fantastic! The food is wonderful always consistently great. My favorite place for thai
Amazing amazing. The food was amazing and the sweetest people are there to help you. Even in this time of low staffing all around, they go above and beyond and provide a wonderful experience.
Great food. The coconut soup and the basil stir fry with chicken is fantastic. Great service.
A hidden gem as a nice local date night when the dining room is open. The menu is delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly. We get Bangkok once every week and a half and they've never had a bad meal. I've never been to the lounge side but can't wait for that adventure when covid status opens up.
If you need comfort food or hangover food get the crazy noodles it's a life saver. Spice levels pack a heat too.
Best Thai food! Got the husband hooked too! Weekly dinner option now! 😋❤️
This is (in my humble opinion) the best Thai restaurant I'm Cleveland. We're never disappointed 🥰
