I have been a fan of this place for a few years now. What got me hooked was one of their appetizer soups, the one with clear, clean broth, cabbage, glass noodles, and chicken. I've tried many Thai restaurants, and this is quite authentic. The food is well seasoned and not too salty. Particularly, their curries are really solid and their noodles have a good texture and ratio of noodle to vegetable and meat. I enjoy their Thai iced tea, which has this distinctive, strong tea flavor. The quality here is consistent and I like the decor and atmosphere. They also do catering well when I ordered large trays of curry and noodles for my birthday. I think if you give them a try, you'll be pleased with the quality and experience.

We went to this restaurant as a party of seven for lunch on a weekday. It was not crowded at all. The receptionist was very friendly. As appetizers, we had fried calamari, chicken dumplings, and curry puffs. For the main fish, I had chicken Pad Thai and mango chicken. I loved all the appetizers, but the Pad Thai was not the best I’ve had. It was a little bit sour, and the mango chicken was fine, but it was just fired chicken with mangoes beside it. However, I totally recommend the Thai Iced tea; it was delicious. Overall, it was a good experience.

A nice dining experience. Service was good. The place was very clean--I didn't even notice any dust on the decor. Crispy Pork appetizer was nice. Thai Iced Tea was delicious. The entree that I ordered, Chicken Basil Fried Rice, was very good although it could have been spicier (given that it had a 🌶️ next to it on the menu). Overall, a great dinner.

I live very close by to this restaurant and have eaten in once before. I ordered out the other evening due to having an emergency and has to get Ina nd out quickly and couldn't spare much for tip. i gave what I could to help feed the fishies. The restaurant itself has a little charm to it, in the summer months they have outdoor seating which is nice even if it's in a shopping strip. I enjoyed when I ate in years ago but when I ordered out the other evening I had the BEST chicken curry puffs to date and none have hit like homemade. Here they are so flaky crispy beautifully crunchy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. the peanut sauce and cucumber sauces I got with the puffs and chicken satay is by far my favorite peanut sauce and cucumber sauce I've ever had the small bits of peanuts throughout with the perfect seasoning. uhh I want it everyday!! I may have to place an order for these curry puffs and sauces again for tommorow haha.

I also order chicken satay also good bur I am sure much better when served in the restaurant, I reheated in the air fryer for a minute and it was tasty, not dry I paired it with a sweet chili sauce and peanut sauce yum !!
my daughter is 7 and thoroughly enjoyed the mango fried chicken with white rice and sweet and sour sauce. the sauce was tangy for me but my kiddo truly loved this dish the chicken was crispy and it wasn't strange looking meat it looked like they use real breast for their chicken. pieces. not thighs or dark meat. I love this about that dish.

my only downfall which was a dish I had along with another in my first visit was the pineapple fried rice. I loved this the first time I came here. for some strange reason every time I tried to take a bite I smelled what smelled like rotting shrimp or shrimp that's about to go bad. or I just don't like shrimp and the flavor was just off-putting for me, I had asked for chicken and it was without a doubt chicken in the rice but I couldn't place the shrimp or fishy flavor so unfortunately I didn't eat or finish and it went to waste sadly but everything else was amazing I can't wait to have those curry puffs again and will make right on the rest of the tip I owe phayathai for a great dinner! 👏 I highly recommend for food !

Nov 23,2024 3:21 pm Was eager to try this restaurant. Waited for more than 6 minutes to be seated. The waiter, who was the only one working, did not take care of us at all. He never took our order and served people that arrived after us. Terrible service. Very disappointed. When we expressed our frustration over the phone upon leaving we spoke to the same waiter. He showed no interest in offering an apology or rectifying the situation.

If you’re like me and are from queens or the city area - you will know there are poor food choices out here in Suffolk.

This Thai place was such a pleasant surprise- great food! Not even good but great! I highly highly recommend it and please try the steamed dumplings and curry puffs. You won’t be disappointed

Did a takeout order for $80. Ordered spring rolls, pad thai with chicken, massaman curry with tofu and chicken with spicy basil. Food was mediocre. The pad thai noodles were more like singgapore noodles, were very dry and did not come with peanuts or peanut sauce. Food was overpriced and rice portions given with the orders were laughable, we literally had to make a pot of our own rice.

Excellent lunch specials

We went there yesterday and there were so many empty tables, yet they had us waiting 10+ min to be seated. How do you have one waitress and one cook in such a busy restaurant? Stop being cheap and hire more people. Unacceptable to be waiting so long to be seated. We saw door dash drivers and they told us they were waiting 15+ min for deliveries. Ridiculous. The restaurant looks run down also.

Amazing service great food kind waiters/waitresses

We came across Phayathai purely by chance !
Last Thursday - my husband's Uncle & Aunt wanted to treat my parents who are currently visiting, to dinner and were insistent that we Dine out.
Since the majority enjoys Thai Cuisine - we were scrambling to find a good Thai restaurant nearby so we could have a quick bite and still reach home on time to watch the debate !!
I am not sure how, but my husband and his Google searches always manage to come up with excellent places to enjoy good food as well as have an amazing time ...

Here is my completely honest take on the food...

As soon as we entered the place... it was not busy - very clean and nicely decorated... very homely feel - also the music in the background was very subtle and we were able to have a great conversation amongst ourselves !!

To begin with, we ordered the soups - my soup was Tom Yum and to be honest i was not very excited as it had too many raw vegetables - i have tasted better Tom Yum soup... but there were other's on the table who polished off their wonton soups within no time - maybe I just ordered the wrong item!

The Chicken Satay was a great hit amongst the men !!

Now for the main course - we ordered the Fried Chicken with Peanut Sauce as well as Fried Fish in Panang Sauce - they were cooked to perfection - every bite had a crunch as well as the Panang Sauce had the right kick.

My husband's Uncle who happens to be 88 was enjoying his Garlic Salmon with such relish that the rest of us on the table were enjoying ourselves just watching him !!

I will definitely be taking my boyz to this place soon, as they could not join us - I am sure they will love the Fish !!

Thank you Lord for this wonderful family ... as well as so many delicious places to enjoy good food and create amazing memories !

The food and service are both outstanding. This is a regular stop for us. Highly recommend their mango dishes. The only problem is that they are next door to a dance studio and if there is a class, the noise from the music next door is almost unbearable. We now only eat there when the dance studio is closed.

I came here with my parents on a Friday night for dinner. They were pretty busy, and we didn’t have a reservation, but the hostess was so friendly and managed to find a table for us. I got the vegan curry puffs as an appetizer and my parents shared spring rolls and a Thai salad. For our entrees, I got peanut sauce tofu with coconut rice, and they got chicken pad Thai. We enjoyed all the food, and the service was excellent! I appreciated that the menu had vegan options for me and non-vegan stuff for my parents.

Thai food is one of our favorites, so we decided to drive a bit farther to try Phayathai, and it was a great decision. The food was delicious and met our expectations perfectly. The service was excellent; everyone was friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Although the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, the wait time was short. The ambiance was nice, with tasteful decor and a low noise level. Too bad I didn’t take food photos. Next time, I’ll also save room for dessert.We're definitely coming back!

I've been a customer of Phayathai for several years now. I used to consider their house special fried rices the tastiest I ever had. Not so anymore. Something has changed.
Ordered through Doordash last week and I was very disappointed with the meal; the food isn't the same it was a year or so ago.
The chicken red curry was tasty but the chicken was a little dry and chewy. The beef in the house special beef fried rice and a flat noodle dish I ordered was like leather. It was tough, dry and chewy. I ended up picking out all the beef and eating what was left, in fear of getting ill. The shrimp in a dish my wife had wasn't much better. We won't be ordering from this place again. What a shame, used to be the best Thai around.

Service was impeccable - very attentive, polite and friendly staff. The atmosphere was quaint with a touch of elegance - fresh tablecloths, decorative accents, and seasonal colors. The only thing I'd suggest is to change the music to something serene that compliments the ambiance. The tracks that played with continious thumping beat were too intrusive.

Service was great! Staff was so friendly, food was great and came quick. I was looking for a Thai spot and this spot definitely does not disappoint. The decorations in the store are also beautiful I especially like how they decorated the Christmas tree for Valentine’s Day! I recommend the mango with sweet sticky rice for dessert!

I got the drunken noodles lunch special and a Thai tea. The tea was good. I didn’t care for the soup that came with the special but the drunken noodles were good. The vegetables were cut a little large for my taste but I’m so glad they had authentic rice noodles and Thai basil. They also had Thai chili flakes which I was thankful for. Overall pretty authentic and comparable to place in the city.
