We love this restaurant! My husband loves the pad thai, my kids love the chicken satay, I always get the same thing- pineapple fried rice, it's amazing every single time! I'm obsessed with it. The service is great, it's a lovely small restaurant, the owner is really nice and welcoming.
We often get take out from here too, it's quick and delicious!
I went here recently for the first time sitting in. I got their blackberry whiskey sour and shrimp currey. It was one of the best meals ive had at a restaurant. The manager came out to check on me, everyone was incredibly friendly. Will definitely come back.
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The owner and Chef takes time to visit each table and ensure you are satisfied with your meal. She takes such pride in sharing her food and culture with her guest and you do feel like her guest. The only thing that equals her humble hospitality is how amazing her food is. The menu has something for everyone and they offer variating spice levels on a range of 1-5. You get what you order, wether it be a 1 or a 5. All of the food is bursting with flavor and if you order a 5 it will be spicy, but it will also not compromise the integrity of the dish nor will it over power the other flavors. I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic Thai flavors. My personal favorites were the Mango
sticky rice and noodles.
Beyond the amazing food, the service was top-notch. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which really enhanced the dining experience. They went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Whether you’re a fan of Thai cuisine or new to it, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!
I love coming here!! The food is excellent and I believe the family puts hard work into preparing their dishes for their guests. My favorites are the fried rice dishes (you can't go wrong, but I do love the basil rice and the pineapple fried rice!), and of the noodles dishes, the 'lady noodles' are yummy.
Amazing food!

Delicious food, wonderful staff! The best mango sticky rice anywhere!
The absolute best won ton soup I’ve ever had. I thought I was just getting an appetizer but they put so many other ingredients that I could easily get a large bowl and call it a meal.
The quality of the food is much better than average and this is a place where you want to try to eat the other things that is Thai fare. So why the low stars? Simply put, I made a To Go order that they failed miserably by literally not making it. I’m sure it was an accident, I don’t care, one less family coming is not going to end their business. Maybe in a few years when I forgot about this episode will I care to come back and reminisce. Did they ever got rid of those harsh white bright lights?
Delicious pad Thai and ginger tea. Friendly service.
I eat lunch here frequently when I'm in the area for work. The food and service are always good. The owner is very friendly and frequently walks through the dining room to check on guests. This is my favorite place in Lebanon to eat. Updated. Still fantastic. If you are in the area you should go.
We love the food! There is a great selection of international dishes, great staff, and the owner visits each table, making sure our experience is top notch!
Update to reply: I believe in second chances and have ordered different things. What kind of business owner responds like that? That chicken you served me was disgusting. There was zero good quality about it. My family was like, "what are we eating?". For your prices, you could do better.
I am almost offended by the quality of food I just picked up. The chicken for the lettuce wraps was obviously cut up end pieces and grizzly pieces from other chicken that they had prepared. The crab rangoon tasted old. The spring rolls were good though. For the price I paid I won't be back. Had a similar experience here more than once.

Food is amazing.
We went during an extra busy time, a special event in Lebanon, 10s of thousands of people. Packed but food and service were great.
Freshly cooked food with wonderful service, and the crab Rangoon actually had lots of crab in it
Updated review - ordered 3 times here recently. First time, similar to previous review. Second time, asked for spice level 3 as usual but was notably spicier, almost unable to eat. Last and final time, discovered long black hair in food. Won’t be back.
Previous review Ordered the spring rolls which were delicious, 5/5. Vegetables were also delicious and cooked perfectly. My main entree (orange chicken) was not good. The chicken was very dry and had a gamey flavor. Unable to finish my meal unfortunately after spending 16.95 plus tip. It would be nice to sub out the white rice for no additional charge. I’d be willing to try the restaurant once more to see if another stir fry dish would be better.
Fresh and authentic!
We came to town to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and Mae was amazing!! She treated us like family!!! And the food was amazing!!! Fresh rolls were delicious!! And the bathroom was nice and clean !!!! We live an hour away but will for sure be back!!! Thank you again for your hospitality!!!

Fantastic food and service. The amazing owner came to the table to check to check in on us and she is lovely. Will absolutely come back. Excellent food and atmosphere!!
First time and not the last! Amazing orange chicken. Friendly staff and service.
Great food in a charming part of town!
Nice place to eat for a date night or any occasion. Food was excellent! 👌
Best noodles ever. Spicy. I always order things extra spicy but not here. They do it right.
Always fantastic!
Always a pleasant experience.
We had language problems with our server. My lunch never arrived. Sashimi fish appetizer was half brown, half pink…yuck! Shame on you chef!! Soup was wonderful, however. Not returning here…sorry!
I love coming here when I am in the mood for some delicious Thai food! Their Pad Thai is probably my top choice. I also really enjoy their Thai noodle soup with tofu as well as their deep fried potstickers and Thai iced tea! The portions are perfect and you can choose how spicy you want your food. Their service is great and the food always comes out so quickly. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I highly recommend you try it out for yourself!
Love coming here with the family! Mostly take out, however, dining in atmosphere is great as well!
The food was decent, nice Thai flavor but the vegetables should have been cut up a lot smaller in the curry. Had to pull them out and of my bowl and cut them up and put them back in my bowl to enjoy my curry. Also asked for extra broccoli and found two small pieces despite being charged $.
Our server, an older gentleman in a suit coat, was not friendly at all and never even said thank you to us for coming. We won't be back.
Owner replied here that we should have said something however, it was so packed that night that we did not want to make a scene out of respect.
Great food and great service
I was disappointed eating here. We have ordered take out so I knew the food was good. But the first time we ate here I did not have a great experience and probably won't go back bc of it. My daughter and I were celebrating her birthday and stopped here to eat her birthday dinner. We went in and asked to be seated outside. Two young boys were there to seat us. No one else was outside at the time. After sitting for a longer then reasonable time and having no one come serve us I went back inside to ask if someone was going to wait on us. Finally a young girl waitress came and took our order. . (my daughter who is turning 10 had a birthday hat on and the waitress did not even wish her happy birthday). We ordered our dinners and someone other then our waitress brought then out. Typically a server should come out right after food is delivered to see if you need anything and ask how the food is. Well she didn't so I had to go back in to ask for soy sauce. She finally came back out and I asked for our bill and a box. Very disappointed with the service and expectation that they would also make my daughter feel special on her birthday. Most place will offer a free dessert or something. I wouldn't recommend taking a loved one here for a birthday, and hope they hire some servers so the guests can be better taken care of. Also train them timing is important.
This was Aug 10th around 4:30 pm.
Absolutely the best food. We go here every chance we get. Love it!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mae Ploy's, where I ordered the Pad Thai with four meats, and my wife enjoyed the Thai Chicken Basil. Both dishes were exceptional, meeting the high standards of my wife, who lived in Bangkok for seven years and is well-versed in authentic Thai cuisine.
The staff was exceedingly friendly, and the owner was particularly accommodating, making a point to personally ensure that all customers were satisfied with their service and meals. She engaged in a pleasant conversation with us for over five minutes, which added a personal touch to our dining experience. We will undoubtedly return.
One of my favorite reasons to visit my hometown. The food is always great.
This is mine and my wife’s favorite place to eat in Lebanon. Their staff is always friendly, Mae Ploy herself is lovely, and the cooking staff is super accommodating to my wife’s allergy to gluten. She has celiac so any cross contamination is a big deal and she’s never had a problem eating here. Definitely recommend!!
I truly think this place does great thai/asian cuisine so well. I love to cook and really enjoy trying food from restaurants that hold a high caliber. This is my wife’s favorite place to eat and I definitely don’t counter with any other place when she suggests it. If I’m going to be really picky, the spice levels could be more intense. Otherwise I just ask for a side of hot chili sauce and that does the trick. Everyone had different taste though. But we truly love this place. ✌🏼
This was our second visit to Mae Ploy's, and I would definitely rate it as good. Nice atmosphere (appears to be an old bank), clean, friendly service, and full bar is available. We get the opportunity to taste Thai cuisine in many different parts of the country. Mai Ploy is a solid choice.
Only good things to say about this place! Everything I had was better than I expected, service was friendly, and the prices were good given the quality!
Best Thai Food I've Ever Had.....& I'm from New York where the Thai food is banging! The Pad Thai Omg!!!!
Wonderful food and hospitable owner. Thanks for a memorable birthday dinner!
Friendly service and great food! Spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, curry, all delicious!! We will be back 😋
This place was stellar. First time ever experiencing this gem of a restaurant, i went with two people and we ordered a sushi boat. Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever had. Very fresh and very tasty. When the boat was brought out to us, we became the main attraction. Everyone that walked by us was asking if they could join in on the fun. Such a memorable experience and I will definitely return for more.
Special mention to the server who made those whiskey sours. Very nice job. Best whiskey sour I've ever had.
*Update*
I bought another sushi boat to go and yet again, a fantastic experience. This place is just awesome. A true gem of a restaurant.
They are very hospitable. And the restaurant is priced very reasonably.
But, I think the food is too oily and the interior design needs updates.
Great food Crappy Service. Came in and waited about 10min at the hostess stand Noone talks to you they just walk right by. 3 people behind the bar hanging out maybe 6 tables being used. Then someone finally gets to me doesn't look at the order or check it, maybe I should have, but missing the drink and a small part of the order.
One of my favorite places to eat in town
Excellent food.
Hot day, great food, lovely people. Will visit in the future!
Very lovely place. Great food and awesome staff. Always friendly, love this place.. Everything is delicious I want some Tom Yum soup right now. Exterior seating is a lovely touch as well.
Friendly staff, fast service. The food was great and fresh.
Stopped in on a busy Saturday during dinner rush. They did a good job keeping up, a little slow for drink refills, but that could be expected for every table being filled in the restaurant. The food was above average, but maybe not the best or most authentic Thai in the Dayton/Cincinnati region, but for not having to drive to Cincinnati, it is well worth the visit. This is a great small business to support!
Make sure you schedule way in advance but I love it here! I got the fried rice and I was expecting it to be heavy but it wasn't . Very happy!!!
This place has been on my list for a while given the stellar reviews it has... They are all telling God's honest truth! This place is amazing! Stopped in for a late dinner on a weeknight...service was impeccable and food was so good. I've never had Tom Kha soup where they asked you the spice level and it changed my life... absolutely enjoyed it with a little spice!!
Delicious food and excellent service. We ordered a lot of different things off the menu and loved everything. Highly recommended!
I actually like that the owner strolls the restaurant and starts small chats with her customers. It's not intrusive but confirms to her that you have enjoyed the meal. The yellow curry dish was amazing. Prices are more than reasonable considering the flavor and quality of ingredients.
I purchased a dinner size chicken Pad Thai at lunch. Very marginal taste. I can best say something that was said to me once about a dinner that I fixed from my family - “I have had worse”.
I had carry out so that didn’t help - I guess.
On a positive note: the product was ready when I arrived. The restaurant was busy and very clean.
I will try this restaurant again but I will dine in and pick a different dish.
Embarking on our inaugural experience with Thai cuisine, Mae Ploy's proved to be the culmination of our anticipation. Initial reservations about post-lunch alternatives were swiftly dismissed as each dish surpassed expectations, boasting freshness and exquisite flavors. Regrettably, the sushi fell short, marred by lackluster seaweed. While the ambiance received a lukewarm assessment, the stellar customer service significantly elevated the overall dining affair.
This little gem is hidden away in Lebanon, OH which is great for me but not so great for the rest of the world because they don't know what they are missing! The food is nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere is astounding. The staff are personable. And the owner makes you feel at home. This restaurant should be in San Francisco, not Ohio, but I am glad they are here.
Waited a long time while waitress messed around at the bar and never came to check on us to even order drinks and she was surprised when we walked out. Not sure how they were busy when they can’t serve tables.
Took a little detour. Great location in a cozy town with lots of shops around. Maria took great care of us. Food was delightful. Also, its a Thai restaurant. Iykyk.
Always a great experience. Food is delicious and pickup service is fast.
After months of personal unprecedented deliberation and thoughtfulness, I have determined that Mae Ploy's is, indeed, the best Thai food in the area.
Everything is flavorful and delicious. The service is personable and friendly. Prices are great. Atmosphere is really cool too (the building is an old bank).

THE BEST THAI FOOD AVAILABLE. GREAT SERVICE.
The owner was very friendly but whoever the guy is that is working the front and taking orders is so so rude I will not be back because of that
The restaurant is cute and in a hopping suburban area. The food was average. The wonton soup and pad Thai (3/5 spicy) were good. One of the chefs stopped by and she was very nice.
None of the food was as hot (temperature) as it should have been. The papaya salad (ordered 2/5 spicy) was so spicy we could not eat it. Our waiter was so rude, he seemed bothered to serve us. When I told him that the papaya salad was so spicy we couldn’t eat it, he pulled up his ordering device and said you ordered a 2 - it’s a different spice level - maybe you should a 1 spice level next time. He did credit $5 for the salad.
I’m not likely to return.
Great place, excellent food, nice ambiance. 10/10 would recommend the Khao Soi soup.
I had an incredible dining experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was truly amazing, bursting with authentic flavors that transported my taste buds to Thailand. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who made the evening even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return for another delicious meal!
I didn’t expect to eat great Thai food in small town Ohio! Food was great with generous servings, nicely plated and served impressively fast. They do try to get you in and out promptly, probably because they’re a popular venue with limited seating.
I have eaten here a number of times and always had a good experience.
Delicious food!!!! Must go!!!!
Really great food, service, and atmosphere! I only wish we had found it sooner!
We stopped in for lunch and we were very pleasantly surprised. Located in the busy downtown shopping/antique/gift shop area of Lebanon, the restaurant was a nice find. We found parking in a nearby parking lot that gave an easy walk to the restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive and we enjoyed the freshness, flavor and presentation of the food. I would definitely return and would recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Superb service, nice staff, attentive and professional. Great food, well-made, and fairly priced. The chef comes to check on each table, too. Highly recommend!
Wow! Outstanding Thai food. Generous portions, beautifully prepared at a fair price. The attention to detail is excellent. Mae comes to every table to make sure you are enjoying your dining experience. This is our new favorite Asian place!
Always a wonderful experience with the most delicious food! I recommend this place to everyone.
It's years after my 1st review. I still feel EXACTLY the same. Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious!
Absolutely delicious and authentic.
Mae Ploy's is delicious and the service is excellent! I've got the Drunken Man Noodles before and this is the Drunken Women Noodles. Both are excellent! With these entrees, you choose what noodles you want and then what protein. This has the mixed meat which is beef, chicken, pork and shrimp. The staff is also very nice with great service! Mae Ploy comes to everyone's table once their food arrives to ensure herself that everyone is satisfied and their food is good! Overall, it's a great experience in the heart of downtown Lebanon! If you like Thai food or any sort of asian cuisine, Mae Ploy's is a must!
Absolutely fantastic food! The owner actually comes around and interacts with the guests and is incredibly friendly.
Our second meal at Mae Ploy's restaurant, the owner has come to our table both times! She is pleasant, very welcoming and happy to see her customers! The staff went to great lengths to assure me a safe meal, as I am celiac and the young man even brought a bottle of GF soy sauce to show me! Food, for the price is over the top quality and flavor! We will be back! Definitely a return visit for us!
Awesome!
Try their coffee, it's amazing! Delicious food, and the patio option was great! 😍
First time trying the restaurant from friends recommendation. Worth the drive from Springboro. Great service but the food is the centerpiece. Worked in Asia for several years. Food brought back great memories for me and my wife. Staff was friendly and attentive. Tried the chicken satay for starter. Was excellent. We will be back to sample the pineapple rice.
Just sitting here in the after glow of an incredible meal at a great local restaurant. I had the fresh rolls, Khao soi, and mango sticky rice. In this moment, I am not sure that a better meal could exist anywhere.
Our favorite Thai place in
S/W Ohio.
This was my first time eating at Mae Ploys and I absolutely love it! We had Tong as a server and he was perfect! Super friendly and patient with great recommendations. We will definitely be back!
BEST Thai restaurant ever! Delicious fried rice, see ew (thick noodles), appetizers - spring roll, cheese rangoli, curry dishes, deep fried ice cream and banana with chocolate drizzle, thai iced tea and bubble tea. EXCELLENT service! The owner creates a very welcoming atmosphere and talks to all customers. Highly recommend this place! A MUST TRY!
I had a really good dish that like a soup it was amazing
Great food.
Best food in Lebanon in my book. The food is so good here. I personally had Crab Rangoon, Spring Roll, Pad Ka Pao, and a little bit of Pad Thai. Everything was immaculate. It was all so tasty and fresh. The owner will come around to talk and she is the sweetest and hardest working woman there is. She's a great person to talk to while enjoying your meal. The staff was excellent as well. Very attentive and the service was extremely fast. The food was out very quickly after ordering. If you're in Lebanon, I suggest this as your first food stop.
Fantastic food and service !!
not worth the price at all and small servings, I mean very small. Prices are high, and I got a sushi roll and when it came out, I was super disappointed. Keep in mind, not my first sushi roll from places in Ohio and Seatltle. And this thing was super small and quality did not compensate.
Someone came to talk to me and best I could tell, said I ordered the small stuff. Go elsewhere.
Take a close lookl that the high reviews, not very genuine, seem to have a lot of key phases and content - like they not be real reviews. Just sayin
Great food & quite an interesting atmosphere 👌
Very yummy Thai! The Vegetable Garden with pork was awesome! Reasonable prices too...
this restaurant is amazing. i have nothing but good things to say. the staff is attentive, kind, quick and making sure the orders are correct. the food is amazing. the atmosphere is a hole in the wall place but busy. if i was local i'd be eating once a week. it's the best sushi and thai food i've ever had. owner is also really kind checking in with tables and seeing how everything is.
I love the restaurant especially the sushi but $14 for a glass of wine was a bit steep! The wine was definitely not worth the price! Sushi definitely but not the wine!
Super good food and the service was great too!
Food was top notch and the owner a delight.
First time here, food was excellent
Nothing was bad, just not really impressive.
Some of the best Thai food we've had. They did an amazing job and the atmosphere was so welcoming. We will come back. They have such a wide variety of things to try
We went to Mae Ploy's for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! We ordered 2 appetizers, a sushi roll, a children's meal, and 4 adult meals and everything was very good. Delicious flavor, appropriate heat for the levels ordered, beautiful plating, good textures (calamari was so nice and crispy!!), and generous portions. When the children's meal came, we were all surprised at the amount and quality of the food. They certainly didn't cut any corners. Our service was excellent. Everyone was very conscientious, the server didn't rush us but was attentive and helpful, and the owner came to talk to us multiple times (and not because we were being or having a problem 😉). The owner even brought our 18 month old a little dessert treat at the end of our meal.
Our experience was a 10/10! We ordered calamari, spring rolls, Philadelphia roll, children's chicken lo mein, yellow curry chicken, sweet and sour fish, chicken cashew stir fry, and Khao soi and we definitely recommend all of it to anyone trying to decide!
Mae Ploy's is a staple in Downtown Lebanon. Food is consistently superb, very fresh with vibrant flavors. Our favorites are the penang, massaman curries with chicken satay! The owners cook and run their business with pride and it really shows.
We are regulars, and Mae Ploy's is easily one of, if not, the best Authentic Thai restaurants in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The food was excellent.
Worst service ever, the manager takes phone orders before waiting on customers.
Great food and great service. People are so friendly and welcoming. The owner stops at every table to chat
The food tastes fresh and is cooked to perfection. Everything is presented well. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Even the amazing Ms. Mae will visit your table and make sure everything is ok and that we're all having a good day! She is always very happy and loves to meet her customers. The fried tofu is amazing. I am in love with the Thai rice meal with tofu. All my meat eating friends were super happy with their meal choices as well. Drinks are kept filled and everything arrives quickly. So many menu options to choose from which you can check Mae's menu on her website. Or you can order take out if you don't have time to dine in. Highly recommend Mae Ploy's Thai Restaurant!
Always a great experience here! Highly recommend.
Great food!!
Amazing food and amazing people
Ordered take out. First experience with this restaurant.
Simple dinner of a few items was almost 50$. No problem, we are new to the area, why not check it out. Go in to pick up the order and the treatment by the oriental man who provided us our food was pretty dismal. I am not sure if it was because I did not leave a tip, on and already overpriced meal, or because I asked for a copy of the receipt. Either way, due to the overpriced food, poor presentation(wet dumplings covered in sauce, super small portion size of the chicken/salad wraps- which is typically a shareable app), and treatment. We will not be going back.
Excellent food and service!
So nice to have such great food AND bubble tea in Lebanon! Every dish we've tried has been very good and the servers are friendly. The owner is very nice and comes out often to chat with customers. I really hope she does well and stays here a very long time!!
Update: the food is always fresh and delicious. The service is on point and we can't get enough of this delicious Thai food restaurant. One of our regular spots and highly recommend.
D-Licious. So good I forgot to take pictures. Just like every restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area, it is slightly understaffed right now. If you know that going in and have some patience, you will not be disappointed. Go with someone you like and enjoy their company. Update 4/1/2023 - Just to clarify, the staff that is there is awesome and they have been there for years. I’m sure this place is becoming very popular because it is so good. They have already expanded and still fill up. I just wanted to advise anyone new that they should prepare ahead and make a reservation during busy times.
Food is always amazing. The staff is friendly and the owner comes by every table personally to check on the customers. A great place to get authentic Thai food.
The place is quaint, and the location is great. The service is generally good. The food and presentation is quite average, as I have visited a number of times.
Ordered takeout. Orders we’re screwed up. Again. Food is good but waiters lie.
Next…
What a delightful gem. This turned out to be. Wonderful menu, very diverse. Lovely server who is very knowledgeable about tea and all the different things. Very accommodating. Lovely experience all around. Highly recommend
Good food. Good service. Table layout is a little tight. But worth it.
I usually get take out once a week. The food is great and service is the same.
Great food! The owner even came to see how our dinner was.
Meh
Adding to the review.
The curry I had tonight was pretty good. I picked up some Penang curry but I ended up simmering it at home with some chili flakes to help bring out the flavor and up the spice. Be sure to set the snow peas to the side if you do this. The rice always tastes waterlogged, I ended up swapping it out for some I made at home. Im hesitant to order anything else as there isn’t much you can do at home to fix Thai fried rice or Phad Thai and both dishes weren’t very good when I had them here before. They seem to lack the depth of flavor I’ve experienced with Thai dishes from elsewhere. Meh, I wouldn’t be excited to bring my friends here.
Came by on a whim, app of Rangoon was great, light and crispy! Delicious amount of good filling 😋 Both the honeydew bubble tea and ginger hot tea were also very nice. Orange chicken and the veggies it came with were all cooked well and tasted fresh and flavorful. Chicken wasn't stringy or anything. Light breading and ample sauce coverage. Over all really enjoyed the food.
