HEAR ME OUT! This place is a true gem! The food is absolutely amazing! We ordered the 'Boat for 1', which comes with miso soup and ginger salad. Oh my, it was absolutely delicious! The soup was rich and flavorful, the salad was super tasty, and the fish was incredibly fresh and of high quality. I wish I had taken a picture of it - the color and thickness of the cuts were perfect!

We also ordered the jalapeno hamachi, which was 10/10! The raspberry iced tea was freshly made and not overly sweet - you can tell it's made in-house.

But what really caught my attention was the MANGO STICKY RICE on the menu! I've never seen it in an Asian restaurant before, and it was SO GOOD!

Without a doubt, this is our new favorite spot for sushi and sashimi. The service was excellent, with kind and friendly staff. If you're tired of going to the same old sushi place, this is a fantastic find - it'll definitely become your new go-to spot!

The food and service is great. Prices are decent. Their spicy seafood pasta is superb. So is their stir fried udon with duck. We pretty much enjoyed everything we ordered. The gyoza was crispy and tasty. Everyone was super nice, friendly, and efficient. They were very helpful and warm. The food came out quick and was delish! They even gave us a first time customer discount.

We decided to go to this resto for the first time last night. We went for the "happy hour" menu so we could try it without breaking the bank. We ordered the Mango curry with tofu and I think it was called "chili" something with shrimp (tasted like chili and peanut). They were both DELICIOUS! The dishes came with salad, miso soup, and 2 goyoza. Those were also all yummy. The main dishes had fresh veggies that weren't overcooked and still had alot of "snap" in them. The sauce was light and nothing was drown in it. We also got the Tornado Roll and really enjoyed that as well. The flavors of everything were wonderful. The service was also great and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back to this hidden gem.

What a downhill slide. When they first opened, the food was fresh and delicious albeit very pricey compared to comparable Asian fusion spots like Nanas.
We returned for the season last year and noticed a drop in quality and portion. Specifically the ratio of protein to noodles/cheap veggies.

Decided to try again after a year because we really wanted these folks to make it given their strong launch plus right around the corner.

Very disappointing. Chicken dry tasteless and miniscule. 2 tiny pieces of fresh broccoli but most of the veggies were filler, like onions and canned mushrooms (at least they tasted canned. Maybe just terribly overcooked.)

Quality food is expensive and I never mind paying more for it.
This isn't that. Grossly overpriced. It's Nanas from now on when we want our Asian fix. Solid, consistent and entirely reasonable and even better than expected for the price.

Shiitake is wonderful - a mix of delicious Thai and sushi options of high quality served in generous portions by unfailingly friendly staff. They make a particularly delicious salad dressing, and the poke bowl, salmon avocado ball, and crispy pork belly are personal favorites.

I usually don't hate food. But rice needs to be sushi rice, washed thoroughly and have proper mix with sugar/vinegar/salt/combu-seaweed. I'd suggest to get classes from omakase houses or omakai sushi.

Food is always great unfortunately they have recently reduced the size of order- I ordered pickup up and the Volcano Role was significantly smaller in diameter- I rarely complain but when I opened the box it came I was shocked!

Great service, excellent food. We have mostly done take-out from here, which is excellent. However, dining at Shiitake Asian Bistro, the presentation of the dishes are amazing.

My stomach blew up right after eating..MSG ..or fillers...do not know...tasted pasty..corn starchy taste iñ my mouth. Chicken eggplant dish..sauce pasty..eggplant mushy...did not eat hot and sour soup..it was not good. Stomach upset. Cannot get that after taste out of mouth.. tea water..taste still there..

I have ordered take out sushi from Shitake many times, and after the past two experiences, I will not be back. Most recently my sweet potato roll was burnt and covered in sauce and the other rolls used old brown avocados. It's such a disappointment as this used to be one of my favorite places for sushi. The quality has really gone down hill.

This place has been our go to for sushi the last 4 years. We moved 20 mins away and still continue to be loyal to this place.

Excellent lunch special

Over the past year, it has been so sad to see this establishment go down hill. My wife and I used to get food from here twice per week. After getting food poisoning from their sushi, we didn’t order again for a couple months to take a break. We finally went back in for dinner. They seem to be having staffing issues every time we visit to dine in and are short handed. Due to the poor service we stopped dinning in and switched to takeout only. With our takeout, either they forget orders completely or the fish and chicken are very dry and overcooked. Last week they forgot my wife’s dinner in the bag and when I called, they blamed me instead of trying to fix it. They said I never ordered her dinner… I said of course I did, my wife and I were going to eat together at home. They then blamed me for not checking the bag. Just last night we we were around the corner and decided to grab a quick dinner inside. They were half full. We were with my 3 year old. No one working the front, we sat on the bench for 15 minutes until they sat us at the same empty table we were staring at for 15 minutes… They never brought my coke I ordered. They didn’t give us our kids cup of water I asked for until the food came, so my son sat there with nothing to drink. My salmon came drenched with a gallon of sauce and was very fishy and not fresh. When the server came, I had said that I cannot eat the fish and explained what was wrong with it. She took the fish back and when they brought the check, she said for us to not come back. I couldn’t believe my ears. We were once regulars that came twice weekly, now just once in a while. They soiled the experience in every way and now want to take their personal problems out on loyal customers? They have become so bitter, it really is sad to see. We cannot support this type of behavior. They just don’t care about their regular local customers. It is really very sad to watch them go down hill and they really don’t seem to care.

The fried veggie dumplings, sweet potato tempura roll, and spring rolls were suuuuuper yummy. I usually remember to take pictures before digging in but it was so good that I forgot!
The main dishes (hot and crazy noodles with tofu and pad thai with tofu) were good, we just added crushed pepper on top to make it spicy and it was great!

This is the best sushi place we have ever been. The sushi is consistently delicious. Definitely come here. We literally do sushi once a week. You won’t be disappointed.

Please do not eat here. The most disgusting Pad Thai I ever had . No sauce at all. I called them they said Pad Thai is should dry. I threw it out.

This place was just fair. California rolls do not have cucumber. Shrimp tempura roll had small shrimp and way too much sauce sprayed on it. I wouldn’t return service was just OK.

If food was better, this would become my place. Prices are OK but not for what they give you. This seems all too common these days.

Went on Sat night with 5 people. Very disappointed in the appearance of the restaurant- dimly lit and not crowded for 6:30 on a Sat night. We had reservations ( which clearly were not needed). The wait staff looked as if they should be working at M-McDonalds and the food was not enjoyable at all. Will NEVER go back to his dive!!

The food was not bad; however, the portions were small. The Pad Thai was very sweet and had no chopped peanuts sprinkled on top. We also ordered the chicken wings, and you had to dip the wings in a sweet chili sauce. Six wings for $10.00 plus tax.Really. Very disappointing and expensive.

Sushi took like 50 minutes to be prepared. Hot entries were ready much faster. Food tasted OK. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Crispy Pork belly was made right, not too hard and too soft. I enjoyed wahoo and hamachi sushi. Especially ratio of fish to rice (large slices of fish). Chicken teriyaki was average. The only downside was a a slow service. We spent around 45-50 minutes for waiting the sushi.

I have to say that i didn't expect such nice sashimi at lunch in this place. The accompanying miso soup, japanese salad and gyoza we're perfect.

I am a light eater,so I felt it was a lot of food. The miso soup had delicious broth with few seaweed and silken tofu. The Japanese salad with ginger morin dressing came in a matching lacquer bowl. The two chicken gyozas didn't need any extra soy..they came is crispy and perfectly seasoned.

The sashimi had four kinds of fish...salmon, yellow tail, white tuna and regular tuna. It came with a side of sesame topped rice bowl

My friend said this was her regular place. She had the tuna avocado rolls.

The food is good, but the order online option does not match the menu that is on the website. The prices are different and the lunch options are also different. When I went to pickup my food, I was told that gyozas are not supposed to be included in the lunch special even though it is clearly stated that it is. I didn't like not knowing what I was paying for.

I don't usually trust Asian places that do multiple kinds of cuisine. But this place is fantastic at both Japanese and Thai food! Really authentic and can be very spicy (if you ask for it!). Really great sushi - we had yellowtail, eel, salmon, and tuna. All fresh and delicious! We also had duck over yellow noodles and it was in a delicious garlicky sauce. highly recommend!

I have been eating lunch regularly since its opening. Everything is fresh and delicious. The portions are large, even from the 'starters' menu. I am addicted to their food. I haven't had a bad dish yet. Sushi/Sushi-mi is always fresh. I am addicted! Try the Poke Nacho--I am addicted. The sticky rice is some of the best I ever had.

The reason we went was for the sushi! And boy this place did not disappoint! We had the volcano, happiness, bocaray and celebration roll! New favorite Asian place! The daily happy hour dinner deals are a great value with large portions. We spent $55 total for two people with three drinks, an appetizer, salads, soups, and main courses. Every single thing tasted perfect and fresh. The interior was too clean and polished to be a "hole in the wall" vibe, but it seems like a hidden gem because it's off the trendy beaten path. I would take anyone here and try everything they have.

The sushi was tasty and it was ready pretty quick but I don’t appreciate the fact that they charged me for 2 spicy mayo and 1 eal sauce when I ordered food for $100. Plus the sauce containers are half the size of other places that give it for free. Don’t be greedy, it’s not a good look.

I love this place. My husband, son and I go here every week. The staff know us, have our favorite things ready. Amazing sushi!!! Love that the place is clean too. Firecracker roll and JB tempura is the beat.

Went here for lunch and loved it, but came back for dinner and while the food was good, the service was incredibly slow. Still reccomend, just not if you're in a hurry.

Went with my wife and 2 young boys for lunch. Delicious food, especially the corn cakes and the shrimp pad Thai. Great value too (each meal comes with miso soup, salad and 2 fried gyoza). Kids enjoyed the garlic fried rice with the crispy chicken. Sushi was fresh and had a good amount of fish in it unlike many places where the sushi is mostly rice. The only mediocre part was the service. We also wish they had a better dessert menu. Otherwise great! Will definitely return.

Mmmmmazzzing! Glad I read the reviews before I came. Worth the 15 min drive, small and intimate with different food options! I'm vegetarian, bf loves meat, dad fried rice and mom sushi! So win win! Prices were good 👍 Go there

We tried it for the first time not expecting it to be anything great. Boy were we wrong. This place was fantastic in every way. The food was amazing, the service was as well and the price was just right. The menu was very diversified.
My new go to restaurant happens to be located right near me. What a lucky find. I recommend them highly.

Whoa So good! Best Pad Thai I have ever had. The Chicken was cooked perfectly, the wings were delicious. Very impressed. Hats off to the cooks and staff.
