This small little Thai restaurant was a nice surprise. My wife and I went to the Flats for an Inkubator event. On our way home, we decided to look for a place to eat in Lakewood. When we first arrived, it was not a place we normally go to dine in. It seems more of a takeout kind of place.
We started out with a house salad and curry puffs. The salad was lite and tasty. The curry puffs were a nice find. Not many Thai restaurants serve this delectable appetizer. These had a thick potato middle but were still very good.
I chose the Duck Pad Woon Sen, and my wife chose Beef Pad See-Ew. Both gluten-free for my wife. The Duck was tender and a great pairing for the noodles. The Pad See-ew was good too. We finished off with Mango Sticky rice. It was delicious. Sweet and savory. It was a nice combination.
Overall, it was a nice visit. We will definitely come back for more. Maybe takeout next time.
The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a big warm smile and hello from just about the nicest person on Earth. They are very knowledgeable and accommodating and the food is fresh and so very good! The price is right on par and it is just a wonderful dining experience.
Ordered to go & just opened up everything. Fried dumplings were good but value for $8? Eh. Tea leaf salad I received was NOT as described nor pictured. 3 cilantro leaves, no garlic, no shallots, no sesame seeds. The mixed nuts were a mixed consistency. Dressing was good. The pad thai is bland & noodles were over cooked. The panang curry w/ chicken is soupy & just ok. Overall spending $50 on only enjoying the dumplings. Will NOT return.
Super friendly and attentive staff. Our server had just returned from Thailand and gave us coconut candies as an after dinner treat. The food was fresh and presented nicely. Everything was so fresh and delicious. They offer ‘dine in’ - several other Thai restaurants only offer take out. We appreciated them staying open to serve us. Highly recommend!
Phenomenal experience start to finish. Extraordinary dishes - start to finish. Our app was Crab Rangoon (made fresh by “K”) Crispy fried kani & cream cheese wontons, Served with sweet chili dipping sauce. Succulent. Out salad was Papaya Salad (Som Tum)
Shredded green papaya, green beans, tomatoes, carrots, peanuts in exotic Thai spicy lime dressing. Quite refreshing and sneaky in being on the spicy side. It has a bite.
Soups; we had 2; Thai Kitchen Tom Yum chicken - Hot and sour soup in coconut milk with mushrooms, cabbage, cilantro, green onions, lemongrass, sweet onions, tomatoes and lime juice. My favorite Thai soup ever. Also a Tom Kha chicken -Creamy coconut milk, lemongrass, galangal broth, mushrooms, cabbage, cilantro, green onions, sweet onions and lime juice. Light and tasty fresh. Our main courses (2). Fiery Pork Turmeric Curry
(Thai Southern Curry) Spiciest Thai curry dish that Cleveland has to offer, this tantalizing curry is inspired by the authentic dish from the south of Thailand. Dried bird's eye chili, lemongrass, galangal, shrimp paste, Thai eggplants broccoli, cauliflower and bell pepper. The curry was so good - i would recommend notching it down a couple of spice levels. I love hot food, and this was almost too spicy for me to eat. It didn’t sacrifice flavor, but it had extreme heat.( Thai spicy). Also we had a Cashew King chicken- Sauteed with roasted cashew nuts, onions, green onions, pineapple, carrots,
bell peppers, snow peas, broccoli, cauliflower in sweet chili jam sauce. A nice blend of spices with a medium heat. Plentiful cashew which is my measure of a good cashew chicken. We had two bubble teas. Watermelon and Honeydew. Perfection. Finally but not last. The highest point of our meal. A Sungkaya with sticky rice. A traditional Thai custard that has a delicious blend of egg, sugar, and coconut cream that is steamed. Pairing the custard with the warmth of the sticky rice gave it a buttery, salty and sweet combo. A knockout punch for sure. I want more. “K” an owner , came out and spoke about the dishes and we felt extremely lucky to have found Thai Kitchen today. Yum. I give this restaurant my highest of recommendations.
I’ve passed by this place many times and didn’t get a chance to check it out until now. I have to say that this is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to!!! If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this is it. I had the curry noodles and an order of mango sticky rice. The curry noodles was perfect! I asked for level 8 spicy and it was the right level for my palate. The curry was rich and creamy, the meat was nice and tender. The portion size was HUGE! I have to say that I asked for a to go box for the first time because I didn’t want to waste any of the curry broth! Also, the mango sticky rice was amazing! The coconut milk was properly prepared and didn’t taste like it came out of a can. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and am planning to come back again for sure!
THIS PLACE WAS THE BEST, WISH IT WAS STILL OPEN
BEST BEEF SOUP PERIOD
Absolutely favorite local restaurant. Her crab rangoons are unmatched and every dish I've tried is a winner, esp her coconut curry!! Her boba pearls are the best cooked I've ever had so the bubble tea is a must have!! Service is immaculate and the owner will always greet you with a big smile!! Vegetarian friendly and lovely cozy environment for eating in, an absolute gem!
absolutely my favorite place for pad thai and pad kee mao. the triple mushroom spring rolls and crab rangoon are also so yummy 😋
The plater was okay but good sampling option. The pad kee Mow/drunken noodles was good as well.
The best Thai food in Cleveland. Love the pad thai and the tamarind duck🤤🤤
Delicious food!! We got soup and pad Thai and they were really good. Service was fast and friendly.
Delicious. I wish they were open more.
we can’t wait to come back! my mom and i are from out of town and went here based on reviews- it didn’t disappoint. we got the tea leaves salad, steamed dumplings, red curry with beef, and the gaeng phed ped yang. oh my gosh it was all so good. the staff was so friendly and inviting. the dining area and bathrooms were also super clean
We were 8 people and took over 8 different dishes to share from. Every dish was AMAZING! Best Thai food in Ohio.
This small little Thai restaurant was a nice surprise. My wife and I went to the Flats for an Inkubator event. On our way home, we decided to look for a place to eat in Lakewood. When we first arrived, it was not a place we normally go to dine in. It seems more of a takeout kind of place.

I don’t usually write reviews but I have been looking for a good beef noodle soup and the Floating Market Stewed Beef Noodle soup from Thai Kitchen has become one of my favorite meals. It has the most tender beef and a super flavorful and deep broth and is going to be a big cold weather staple for me. Beyond that everything else I’ve had from Thai Kitchen has also been fantastic!
The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a big warm smile and hello from just about the nicest person on Earth. They are very knowledgeable and accommodating and the food is fresh and so very good! The price is right on par and it is just a wonderful dining experience.
Incredibly friendly staff, a full menu of amazing food, and a cozy restaurant. You couldn’t want anything else. Everyone needs to try their Thai Kitchen Tom Yum!
Such an amazing food place! We got mushroom starter, it was just amazing, my husband and dad got chicken wings it was so good that they ended up ordering an other one, Basil Fried rice is a show stopper, so so good. I would definitely go here again!
The service was quick and amazing, the lady was always smiling and accommodating.
I have eaten here many times and it just dawned on me… I could leave a review. I love this place. The food is always hot/fresh and they are CONSISTENT. Dine-in, carry-out, it’s all great. I’ve had many of their menu options. I eat mostly GLUTEN FREE due to an autoimmune condition and they have lots of delicious and well labeled options for me. Pretty sure they make everything from scratch, so there’s so weird additives from using pre-made sauces and seasonings, ya know? I always look forward to a meal here. Thank you for being awesome!
My 3 year old and I just ate here after a long day at the zoo. The food was amazing. And the service was even better. I will be coming back whenever I am in Cleveland.
Consistent. Quality. Very friendly staff. The food always comes out quickly. When they say on the menu they have the spiciest curry in Cleveland they mean it. I can't recommend it enough. They have been in my top 5 restaurants for almost a decade.
Wonderful Thai food! The best I’ve had in Cleveland. The papaya salad was amazing as were the steamed dumplings. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was great too. Highly recommend. We will be back!
I was visiting from Washington and was really impressed! The folks working in the kitchen were lovely and the food was delicious. Our server was extremely quiet and forgot a couple of things, but overall, it was a lovely experience. Definitely recommend!
Try the fried chicken appetizer it's my new favorite thing!
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The red curry beef was scrumptious and plentiful and the watermelon boba smoothie to cool down the spice was incredible. Residing in a small building next to the Dollar General, it hides discretely but don't count this place out. The food was lovingly prepared and full of such flavor, I was beside myself with each bite. Add to that excellent, attentive service and it's a big win! Don't settle for others in the area when you can have the very best! Count my word, it's amazing.
I wish I could give this place 7 stars. Kind service and the absolute best Thai food I’ve had in the US.
This place has the best soup I’ve ever had! Get the curry chicken noodle soup and the floating market stewed beef noodle- they’re both amazing.
Everyone on staff is so friendly!
The food has gotten a lot better since opening! Seems they needed to just grow into Thai Kitchen. Pad Kee Mao is solid, and Pad Thai is also great. And the fresh rolls are good too.
I’m Thai and the most authentic Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand was while I was living in NYC. This place comes very close to that. We ordered Khao Soi and Gaeng Phed Ped Yang and they were absolutely delicious. Nothing we got was overly sweetened like the typical Americanized Thai food. This is our go-to spot for Thai takeouts now. Can’t wait to come dine in soon.
If you want to get the most feeling Thai taste .Thai kitchen is the best !! The good team work form their passion serving the most delicious authentic Thai food.
This place is outstanding! It is undoubtedly the best Thai food in Cleveland. The owner and staff are incredibly warm and kind. Everything I've ordered here has been great.
This was my first time to Thai Kitchen. It did not disappoint. Finally - fresh food from a local business. Authentic and yummy! I had a salad, Tom Yum soup and Pas Thai noodles. Really good.
It was absolutely delicious, and the staff was awesome. Cozy little atmosphere.
Best Thai food in northeast Ohio. Have to order for take out or take your chances as their dining room is pretty small and fills up fast. Menu has expanded considerably since they took the opportunity to expand the kitchen by taking over the former bar space next door as their dining area.
Great Tom yum. Great pad Thai
The food is consistently delicious and they are such a warm and welcoming staff.
Food was okay. My service animal wasn’t welcome so I called ahead for takeout order. Looked nice inside despite appearance outside.
First time here, everything was great! Very friendly service and attentive wait staff. The prices are fair for the portions given compared to other restaurants. Our food was really good. Despite being busy with dine in and takeout orders, our wait time for our dinner was minimal.
Absolutely energizing food and service. I wish I would have found this place sooner.
Food was good. Highly recommended!!
The food is great. Not to mention they are super friendly and accommodating to requests of vegetarians/vegans.
Excellent food and service, garlic shrimp very garlicky and fresh

I've eaten here many times over the years and always enjoyed it, but thai kitchen just keeps getting better. Duck, curry puffs and pad see ew are standouts, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Hidden gem! Food was great and beautifully put together. A treat for the eyes and mouth. And the service was fast and very friendly
Small Thai restaurant with very polite and accommodating staff, food is done well, decor is dated but acceptable. Prices are on the high side for the location, yet fair for the quality.
Smaller restaurant, quick friendly service. Vegan options. I liked the glass noodles but my vegetables had no flavor to them so I only ate the noodles. My husband got a yellow curry and he said it was good. We got the veg fresh rolls and triple mushroom spring rolls and they were good but nothing spectacular. Seemed a little pricy for the lack of flavor so I'm not sure if make the trip back there.
Awesome food, great service
This is probably the best Thai I've had. It's little and cozy inside. The severs were incredibly friendly. I'm telling you...the Crab Rangoon will completely change your view of any you've had elsewhere. Real Crab inside!
Everything was excellent from the food to the customer service. It was my first time here. Had the fried dumplings, delicious. The coconut curry chicken was perfect.
We travel from upstate New York, going back to utica and stop by to dine in. The food and service are top notch..
.
Everything about this place was wonderful. We came over to Lakewood all the way from the east side because we were told this was the best Thai in the Cleveland area and it did not disappoint! Beyond ridiculously delicious and freshly prepared food (the meats in our dishes were SO tender and flavorful), the people at the restaurant were also so nice and welcoming. It was a rainy December day when we came, and it felt homey, friendly, and local!
Good food, good environment, good people. Wish that we had someplace like this locally here in Lorain County
Very disappointed. Used to love Thai Kitchen and hadn’t ordered in a long time but the food is not what I remember. I spent $20 on pad see ew and the noodles I could barely pull apart because they were so overcooked and the chicken was so dry it was hard to eat. It didn’t taste good at all and I had really been looking forward to it. Don’t know if I will go back after that or refer it to anyone.
Best Thai in Lakewood! It's tiny and cozy. Everyone that works here is super friendly & knowledgeable of the menu. They make great recommendations. The food is spicy & delicious. I recommend the basil fried rice... the holy basil in delicious top! This place is BYOB which is awesome as well. $7 corking fee.
The most amazing and authentic Thai food in Cleveland!! Coming from New York it’s hard to find good Thai food in Cleveland, but this place was delicious. I ordered the larb, khao soi, and papaya salad and each were fantastic. The service was great and you can watch the chefs cook in the kitchen right from your table.
Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thai in the area.
Genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in Lakewood, not just my favorite spot for Thai. This is my feel good food spot. The curry puffs? Can’t complete an order without them. Recently became a fan of the basil fried rice. The house soup??? Large every time. Chicken satay - you cannot lose. If you don’t get a Thai tea what are you doing?! I’m getting to the point where my order is too much for what I can conceivably eat even for leftovers. Plus they’re always SO kind.
10/10 Best Thai in Lakewood, and possibly all of Cleveland.
Amazing, attentive, staff. I order from here weekly and I will continue to do so!
This is authentic Thai food, the best Thai restaurant in town.
It's definitely a small quaint attractive kitchen with very very aromatic cooking and the food presentation was perfect specially the wonton soup
The chicken Larb with a heat level 8/10 was a flavor explosion in my mouth. Excellent Basil fried rice with combo meat heat level 8/10. This is what I expect from a great Thai restaurant — intricate spices combined with spicy heat. One of the best Thai restaurants in the area!
Best Thai we’ve had in NE Ohio
Little hidden gem! Great food and great service! So polite and kind! It's a tiny restaurant, but the food is mighty! I really enjoyed everything!! the mushroom springs were homemade and delicious! I had a taste for pad Thai and it surpassed my expectations. I'm definitely going back to try their larb and soups next, lol! It looked outstanding on the menu! Their menu is pretty big to me. I finally tried a Thai tea smoothie and loved it! You really get a good portion of food for the price, too! My stuff was good! Definitely recommend this spot for authentic Thai cuisine!
My favorite Thai food in Cleveland. Love the Curry Chicken puffs.
The food here was delicious!! I ordered the papaya salad, panaang curry, pineapple fried rice and pad see ew —all were so flavorful and delicious. But honestly, the best part of this place was the service. The staff was so so friendly, positive, made great recommendations, and honestly was nice enough to make me want to write a review in the first place.
The coconut noodle soup and basil friend rice were excellent. Fast, friendly service. I will definitely eat here again!
The food was heavenly, and the people there were really friendly. Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. They could also accommodate requests to make the food vegetarian!
Absolutely delicious food! Best Thai ever.
Awesome place! Simple ambiente with focus on the right things. Food was very tasty and the service was so friendly. It felt like being family
Still my favorite Thai restaurant BUT it will never be the same without chef Kwan's special touch (especially on the pad thai) and the spring rolls and what happend to the to die for ginger dressing?!
Unsung gem
One of my fave places to eat in Lakewood as a vegan!! They accommodate very well and ensure whatever I order is vegan for me :) the woman who works here is the sweetest person on the planet and is so welcoming to everyone who enters. The food is SO GOOD and the price for portion size is amazing! i’m def going to miss this place when i go off to college. I just wanted to leave a good review to help this place stay in business FOREVER because it’s amazing and I love it !
The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the inoor seating was clean.
The food was good. It's definitely worth another visit. Price is fair for the area. Parking can be questionable during certain days.
so cute and warm and wonderful food!
best thai in lakewood
I just want to encourage this place as it is now officially the BEST THAI FOOD IN CLEVELAND! The original Thai Kitchen was great, but this is somehow even BETTER! The food is fresh, the tastes are authentic, and the owner/employees are so nice and welcoming. I will be coming back often to this restaurant, and I recommend that everyone check this place out. Great job Thai Kitchen!!!
I’ve recently started a business in Lakewood and joined Lakewood FB community page. Someone was recommended this restaurant so I checked out their menu. My first ordered with them was Khao soi Chicken. I am Thai but have never had Khao soi before (it’s northern Thai food) OMG it was so good!!! I mean so so good. The owner Nong Kae was very friendly and kind as well as her Chef P’Mohk. They are very nice, friendly and kind people. They have always gave me some samples of Their foods and I ended up ordering more after that 😂. Also love their Puff and pork dumpling.
To me, this restaurant is very authentic. I’ve ordered their food about 2-3 times a week. I’m so happy I have found them.
They owners are very friendly and helpful with picking out food you might not be familiar with, can't wait to go back.
I just got green curry and pad Thai. Both were mediocre in taste and bland. I know how to make my own curry dishes and have made thai curries before. When you just mix in coconut milk and add a little bit of spice powder and call that a curry, it is not authentic. Authentic curries are made with spices simmering in a pot for some time so that it blends into the protein ( tofu, shrimp, chicken etc ). I paid 36 for pad thai and green curry. Pad Thai had absolutely no flavor. It was just a bunch of noodles cooked and bland. This place used to be better, but the quality has deteriorated. There are other options in Lakewood where you can get decent flavorful food and not pay exorbitant prices for bland tasting food.
extremely good
What a friendly staff and so Interested in how you like the food. The food is fresh, clean, not greasy, served fast with very tentative servers.
The place is very clean and pleasing to the eyes.
Not THE best Thai I've had but it is good. I will be back!
Really great food, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. Will definitely be making a return trip. The Pad khee mao, Tom kha, and mango sticky rice were tasty.
Absolutely wonderful food.
Best wonton soup and Crab Rangoon. Very attentive service, highly recommend!!!
The most amazing crab rangoon in my life.
THE BEST crab rangoon I have ever eaten, and I have eaten A LOT of crab rangoon. The wonton is crispy and light and flakey, and the crab stuffing isn't just cream cheese. It has flavorful imitation crab and is seasoned perfectly. I would go here just to eat 15 crab rangoon.
I also got the Avocado Massaman Curry with a 7 spice level and it was DELICIOUS. Perfect amount of creaminess and spice, the textures in the food here are insane (in the most fantastic way) Everything had the perfect amount of creamy richness, and light crunchiness.
For dessert we had the taro rice pudding and it was a perfect way to end the meal. Not overly sweet, just enough. It was warm and comforting - my new favorite restaurant! 12/10 would recommend!!!!!!
Thai Kitchen never disappoints and is ALWAYS worth the rude across town.
Love this restaurant. Great Thai food!
The new menu is great - I loved the old Thai Kitchen but things have taken a turn for the better which surprised me.
More of a takeout place, but you can eat there. The food is good and you can pick your spice level, and it actually can be spicy if you want.
Great place, good folks. I get anxious around Thai food because of a peanut allergy, but these folks were attentive and inspired confidence that my food would be peanut free. It. Was, and was tasty too!
Possibly the best Thai we've ever had. Great service too!
Absolutely charming staff and great food!!
I’ve passed by this place many times and didn’t get a chance to check it out until now. I have to say that this is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to!!! I highly recommend this place and am planning to come back again for sure!
The food was rediculously good and the service was nothing short of perfect. They were all very accommodating and nice.
Of the 5 (maybe even more) Thai restaurants in the area, Thai Kitchen is easily the best. Filling portions at good prices. Perfect flavors, consistently cooked rice, noodles, veggies, and proteins, and optional levels of heat/spice on some dishes. Also, their bubbles teas are blended to have that thick-yet-light texture which makes it difficult to put down. I love this place, please never leave, ha.
Wow! Just wow!
Good food, good service, good prices. What else could you want?
WOW!!!! That basil fried rice and chicken Satay - they are seriously flavorful. Taste like it was made by a grandmother. I’m confident this is some of if not the best Thai food in Cleveland. Thank you, Thai Kitchen Restaurant.
Best Thai place around no contest
Really good new menu!
This place is the real deal. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented, and service was prompt and attentive. Even the ginger tea was phenomenal - the perfect beverage on a cold winter night.
Fantastic food! Been going here for years, long before Thai restaurants started popping up all over the place. My favorite is the Tom Yum soup, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The place is small, which I like, but they also do a lot of take out. Owner is super friendly too!
The cuisine and the wonderful people who work here are consistently amazing! The Thai kitchen Tom Yum soup is incredible! I get it with a side of egg noodles and the curry puffs are outstanding 💕
The online menu is very helpful.
This restaurant is a lakewood gem!!
The best Thai on the west side! The Thai Tom Yum is the best!
One of the best places to eat. Geat food, great service.
Just had their Khao Soi and my husband had the Avocado Massoman curry and it was delicious.
The people are wonderful and so is the food.
Great food, service was lovely.
Probably the best Thai food I've had in my life. The staff were all super friendly and fun! I'll definitely be going back!
The Thai Kitchen Tom Yum soup is life. Seriously. You gotta try it with some egg rolls and that's all you will ever want to eat. If you haven't been, check it out!!! The restaurant itself is a small little place perfect for a meal with friends or family.
The experience was ruined by the staff, whom where laughing at me and pointing at me, very obviously. Made me regret going, and made me not want to return. Food wasn't impressive at all.
Wonderful meals
The best Thai in the area. Amazing food every time and always friendly service. They can make anything on the menu vegan and are very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and allergies. This is our go-to spot when we eat out for any birthday or celebration. Couldn’t recommend them more! Support this amazing small business!
Spiciest curry in town!
WOW - FABULOUS - we ordered to go for eight adults and one child. All meals were hot, fresh, packed nicley and DELICIOUS! Highely recommend Thai Kitchen. Staff so appreciative and kind!! Will definetly order again. Thank you very much!!!
Friendly staff. The foods are delicious
Our go to Thai place! Yummy food and friendly service, will definitely keep returning. Just a heads up, they are not joking about the spice level!!! I absolutely adore spice and the spice level 10 on the pad Thai was ~insane~. I recommend starting with a 4 and going up from there 😂 appreciate them making it actually spicy though!!
I could tell this small little nondescript place would be legit as soon as I saw it. It was. The spicy turmeric was out of the ordinary and delicious.
The whole experience was amazing!!!
First time trying since new ownership. Food was delish the black rice pudding was so good. Loved the shrimp pad Thai as well.
Really fantastic.
I love Thai cuisine; I am new to the area and was apprehensive but this cozy, little place checked all the boxes.
The Pad Kee Mao was wonderfully flavorful and just as spicy as I had hoped when I ordered spice level 7/10. Steamed dumplings were delicious too, and I recommend the unique hot tea selection. I’d also love to mention how vibrant the chef/owner was throughout my visit. Always had a smile on and I felt very welcome.
If you have a soft spot for Thai I would definitely recommend stopping in!
Oh my gosh, friendliest staff ever. The girl at the counter was lovely!! Highly recommend the red curry and jungle curry.
Always great authentic meals served here. All of the “staff” is great. Iykyk. Lol
I love consistency and this place has it.
I can eat any curry here and I usually stick to green only.
Taro Boba… 🔥
Friendly service, yummy food, clean environment. Delicious! Will be back!
Butterfly Peach Boba drink was delicious! Also loved the chicken satay. Thank you to Rosie and staff for excellent customer service❤️
Love this place 👍
Fantastic food, very cozy atmosphere, the owner and staff are wonderful people. Definitely recommend this restaurant and we’re going back for sure
My wife and I went to the "original" Thai Kitchen at this location about 25 years ago. At that time it was owned by an elderly couple and, in spite of the decor, the food was excellent.
John and chef Kwan took over about 15 years ago (I'm guessing?) and they continued the excellent food tradition and improved on the decor with their expansion.
We probably at chef Kwan's well over 150 times over the years and were never disappointed.
When we were informed about the ownership and menu change we decided to try out the "new" Thai Kitchen.
We were not disappointed. There are several new items on the menu (the excellent dumpling appetizer comes to mind) as well as the "standards" of thai cuisine. There is NO dropoff in quality. We'll be regulars!

EDIT: 7/12/22
We returned with a party of 6 about 2 weeks after I wrote this review. The service was excellent and very friendly as it was the fist time, however, after reviewing my $118 bill (which included a total of 2 people dining in and a "to go" order), I've decided that approximately $40 per head for Thai food is on the pricey side (for what is mostly chopped vegetables and rather small portions of protein) and we probably won't be going back for quite a while.
On this return trip they had a sign in the restaurant recommending the papaya beef salad as an appetizer which I ordered. Unfortunately they did not put the price of the dish on the sign and I did not ask about the price.
When the appetizer came it consisted of 8 very small, thin strips of beef, a small bowl of sticky rice and a small bowl of shredded papaya (and maybe some other shredded vegetable?). While it was certainly tasty, we were all SHOCKED when we saw that it was $28 when our bill arrived.
Again, this is partially my fault for not asking the price, but $28 was WAY out of line for the size of this "recommended" appetizer.
The food is good, but in this horrible economy we are now on a hunt for a more reasonably priced Thai food alternative in Lakewood. Fortunately we found one less than a mile away....I won't review it until we go at least 3 times : )
We had an absolutely wonderful dinner, very accommodating to vegans and we will be going back again and again!
If you're not eating here, you are MISSING OUT. Authentic Thai, delicious and made with love. The rangoons are subtle and flavorful. The Tom Kha is a flavor explosion, a must-try.
The people running the restaurant are extremely friendly and clearly care that their guests have the best experience.
Top notch. Eat here.
My family is Thai and this place is as if my Yai (grandmother) made it for me personally. Very friendly staff and good service on top of absolutely unreal Thai food. A true hidden gem, especially for Ohio of all places.
Delicious food and fantastic employees!!
Excellent food! Really high quality ingredients and great dishes. Wonderful service! We'll be back next time we're in town!
The food was great. The experience was kinda weird. The guy kept talking to us while we tried to eat. The bill was really high for Thai food. But we really liked the food. We want to explore the menu more. It's a big menu too.
Best Thai iced tea for over 20 years!!!
First visit after the restaurant got taken over, Chef Mok and Chef Ke cooked authentic Thai food. The staffs gave us warm welcome. The food is uber delicious. I recommend to try black sticky rice with coconut milk as dessert.
The new owners have done a great job keeping up the quality and spice as the previous. Glad to still have the best Thai food in town running!
The best Thai food in Lakewood/CLE. The owner and staff are excellent, and enjoy answering any questions you may have about the menu. The food is authentic Thai, and delicious.
The best Thai in Cleveland. Everything is good from soups to curry to noodles to specials. It is especially a gem for vegan dishes and people with allergies
Kwan!!!! Where are you???? I feel I blindsided ...this isnt fair! Mr. New York City you should have paid more to get the authentic recipes! Or at least carried Canada Dry not Verners for the transition period!!!! #youaintmyrealkwan
Food was so good that we got it three days in a row. Excellent!
