Stopped here on a whim while we were traveling. It's a little hole in the wall place that looks unassuming, but the food was really good! And the server was really knowledgeable and full of character. He was a really nice guy. The restaurant had several other people dining as well and everyone seemed very happy 😊
There were only 2 tables eating and he forgot out order . The guy is completely useless and is not even interested to respond . He gave us stale food and tasted very very bad. They cheated us by asking option for white rice and fried rice as a side for the dish we ordered but brought us one whole plate of rice which we did not ask and priced us saying that it is ordered separately at the time of paying bill. Overall zero for food, -10 for service and responsiveness and cheating us to add more bill amount
The food was good. We got a bowl of egg noodle with pork and a plate of ride topped with stir fry cashew nuts with chicken.
The portions of both dishes are good. We enjoyed the soup broth.
The only thing we didn’t expect was the tip for the service was automatically added after we gave them the credit pay to pay for the meal. The tip was not included on the bill, but we were charged for it without being told.
Food was fine, not as good as many reviews though. However, there are flies flied everywhere. AND the 18% tips automatically added to the total makes us VERY uncomfortable, especially when we only has two persons eating!
I’m sure if we ask they probably will agree to take the tip off and let us tipping by ourselves, but I wouldn’t want to have this conversation. I believe it’s a bad example of business owners and I won’t recommend anybody to come here. It’s definitely not worth the driving.
Service here is a dream come true!! No matter how busy they are, I always feel like I’m being welcomed home. The Tom Kha is always exceptional, any dish with the large fresh noodles has been delicious, and I can not leave without having a Thai tea with one of their amazing desserts. Endless vegetarian and vegan options- I can always order something new, which is so rare as a vegetarian. Erawan Thai is a MUST VISIT in Columbus, and a weekly requirement if you’re local.
We dined at this restaurant on 01/17/2025 at 7:00 PM with a party of four. The service was decent, though our waitress was somewhat distant and not very engaging. There were only about six tables occupied at the time, so the restaurant wasn’t busy. The food and overall service were just okay. However, I was surprised when the bill arrived, as an 18% gratuity was automatically added. I was caught off guard since I’m accustomed to gratuity being mandatory only for parties of 5 or more. Overall, we were disappointed and felt that the experience didn’t justify the price. We won’t be returning. Drunken noodle was too sweet. I couldn’t think of good food to recommend. Combination appetizers were great.
This place is really good. I bobtailed over here in my semi truck to grab me and my wife some good Thai food and I am more than impressed on top of that the staff is very kind and sweet and the portions are more than filling They cook everything just right and the vegetables are perfectly cooked. I was dealing with the owner sister when I made my order and she is very nice and I will definitely come back next time I’m in Ohio. 10/10 will try again! 👍🏿
10/10, no notes, food is delicious, vibes were chill the day I went and again food was HEAT! Loved it, will come back.
We get different things each visit. Cannot remember all the nanes.
Food was amazing first time having Vietnamese food and I must say was very impressed. Everything has flavor as far as what I ate. I would recommend.

My only complaint is that I love too far away from it.
Food was good 👍
Every time I layover in Groveport, this is the spot for takeout.
No longer open till 10pm. They now close at 9pm.
Very good authentic food with great portions and prices. We ordered the
-veggie spring rolls
-spicy wings
-Mala green beams
-veggie Thai noodle 🥣
-a side of egg fried rice
They were all very good, price with their gratuity/automatic tip added was $42 and some change for 2 people. The spring rolls didn’t come out fresh, but we just asked for new ones and they brought some out that were nice and hot. The service can be skimpy depending on how busy, and there’s only 1 server/front of house worker so you’ll want to be patient if they are busy. The server had always been nice and friendly Everytime we visit.
Very authentic and wonderful

Delicious food.
Some of the most delicious pho on the south side of Columbus. Small place but filled with locals that love authentic pho
This is our go to for Thai food here in Columbus!
This place is absolutely phenomenal and worth the drive out. Great take out or dine in 👌
We’ve seen the reviews and finally tried it - this is a great find!
Crab Rangoon - a must try
Pineapple Fried Rice - my husband keeps talking about it, served in a pineapple and everything
Panang Curry - a great option for a sweeter curry with good veggie variety
Mango Chicken - fans of orange chicken will
probably like this, but so much more flavor to it!
Pho - quality pho, although we’d do it for dine instead of to go next time
Pad Thai - great
We’ve already gone again because it was so good, and both times did not disappoint! Be ready for it to be busy on a weekend evening.
Holy XHIT the Singapore Noodle was hands down best in Columbus! Level 4 spicy with a side of fried dumplings. . . LIFE CHANGING and the one serving was 2lbs of food probably looort. Thank you 🙏
Got pad see ew with tofu, medium spice, to go. Couldn’t get through more than a few bites. The dish lacked flavor, noodles were overcooked/falling apart and the tofu tasted off.
Me and my children eat here twice a week the PHO is the best in Columbus
Great atmosphere and quick service

Best place that I.
Ever went to you need to try this place

I called to request an itemized receipt since I needed to submit receipt for work, the guy I spoke to said basically said they were too busy to do a handwritten itemized receipt and that the receipt I was given was all they could provide and then proceeded to hung up. I was shocked by how rude he was since I asked politely. Definitely not going back.
Update:
I'm unable to respond to your review so here's my response...Perhaps you should look into a way to provide an itemized receipt that is not hand written. I've been to small restaurants like yours and have received itemized receipts that were printed. I find it difficult to believe that in this day and age the only way to provide an itemized receipt is to hand write it. Being busy is no excuse for rudeness, I politely asked so there was no reason for your employee to be rude.
The food was fresh, and it was DELICIOUS!!! The service was great!!!
Great food
Great food, as hot as you want it, one through five!
Friendly staff, food comes out fast!
Would benefit with an update in decor and dining area. Quite cramped and outdated. Food was absolutely authentic and delicious!!
First time at Erawan Thai. The food was delightful. I had the Panang Curry one of my favorite dishes. They were spot on with flavor. It was creamy and delicious. I got it at a spice level of 3, for me, that was mild. My counterpart got mild Pad Thai. He said it was the best he'd ever had. I tasted it, and it had way more flavor and complexity than anywhere I've been. We will be back. The Crab Rangoon was delicious as well. Another Columbus hidden gem.
Authentic and delicious.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would!! The service here is AWFUL!!! I stood 17 minutes waiting to place a to go order. No one ever said hi, hello, I'll be with you in a moment, or anything else. I trued calling in the order before I showed up, but they don't answer the phone. This is my 3rd time trying to eat here, and each other time the service was the issue. This is my LAST time trying!!!
OMG YES LORD I LOVE THAILAND SO MUCH THANK YOU THANK YOU - it was busy yesterday so i never got to eat or get food waiting but today i ordered on the phone got there it was still hot even tho i was late getting there and got home and put it in a bowl AND OH LORD IS SOOOOOO GOOODDD I think im about to eat the box the rice came in and the glass bowl along with the food 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ordered the Thai iced tea which was great. The Som Tum salad is great.
The whole meal was great.
But the restaurant is so dirty. Flies everywhere.
Please do some cleaning and practice good hygiene I want to keep coming back.
Service here is a dream come true!! No matter how busy they are, I always feel like I’m being welcomed home. Best Thai food in Columbus, tastes really fresh, always a hit with quality and quantity of the food. Very sweet server and hard working people.
Food is great, portions are awesome! Expect a longer wait for food this is a small family owned restaurant. Never a bad experience here!
We ordered chicken fried rice, Panang Curry, and Pho. All three were the best we have had in years! Also, the gentleman who served us was so friendly and anticipated our needs. Overall, it was an amazing place to eat!
I usually never leave reviews but Erawan has a special place in my heart. My husband and I always order their house special fried rice and sometimes larb or pad thai. Their portions are so good for the price. My husband and I don't have any family living in Ohio so the closest thing to homecooked asian meals is Erawan Thai. This hole in the wall spot is definitely worth the visit if you're feeling homesick. Going in the restaurant is like stepping into someone's home and you feel welcomed. 10/10
Phenomenal food for any occasion. Stopped by on a road trip and saved it on my maps app just in case I’m ever close by again!
Absolutely delicious!! My wife and I have been looking for a good Thai food place since moving to Ohio 2 years ago. This is easily the best Thai tea and curry we have had here!!
One of my favorite Thai places in the city! I love erawan Thai, the family that owns it is very nice and their food is amazing. The menu has a very large selection of food including other Asian cuisines and it's ALL GOOD!!!! I haven't been disappointed here, and I'm sure I won't. Erawan is definitely in the rotation of places I go-to eat.
Delicious food, generous portions, modest prices. Best Thai food I've had in Ohio.
good place for authentic Thai food
Quick service and they pay attention to you and know what you want. The food is excellent
This has been high on my list to try for many years, and it did not disappoint! My friend had the massaman curry, and I had the drunken noodles, and they were some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Columbus has lost a lot of its Thai restaurants over the years, so it's good to find a great one. Well worth the drive across town. Just a note that they automatically apply an 18% tip to dine in orders, but the food was still very affordable and of the best quality!
This really is a hidden gem, very laid back atmosphere . Me & my fiancée stopped in for our 8 year anniversary . We had very kind service , fast response time , food was fresh & hot. This will be a all time favorite , I never tried Thai food till now & this will be the only location I’ll be getting it from .
Best Thai food in Columbus.
Thai Beef Jerky is unbelievable. Worth driving 20+ minutes for.
Love the food. Addicted to the milk tea.
Wasn't good. Plus had automatic tip.
made us sit there for 10 mins
Best Thai food in Columbus.
Loved everything I ordered.
Always order takeout and let me tell you this place is amazing the most authentic Thai restaurant you'll ever find always order their Tom yum soup when I'm sick and it completely helps my immune system.
I was very surprised... the food was awesome and the employee who took care of us was outstanding. Thank you for such a great experience.
One thing I REALLY do not like is when they automatically tip themselves a generous tip on your bill before you even see it or have a chance to discern whether your experience is worthy of a tip. Even as a single diner, they do this to you. As much as I like everything else, this practice keeps me from returning more.
The Spicy Eggplant was Very tasty!
The food here is so yummy and delicious. The amount of food you get compared to the price is crazy good.
This place is underwhelming, I had very high hopes for this establishment. The teriyaki chicken was over cooked and hard to bite following the vegetables to be bland..I was denied a replacement and a return. Highly disappointed..waste of $65 if u as me, And on top of that the bathrooms were piss poor..literally!! But I guess on the bright side the egg rolls were good.
Food was decent, but understaffing caused some mixups and longer wait times. Some of the food was also not as warm as a result.
Absolutely great food highly recommend
I just went here for the first time today. Got take out. I got the Tom Yum and it was very good. Spicy, large portion, and seemed very authentic. It has actual oysters in it, complete with the shell and barnacles. I was impressed. My girlfriend got the chicken pad thai and she thought it was really good too. I've only been here the once though, I can't speak for consistency, but I plan on being back.
The food was incredible. Best Masaman Curry I've ever had.
Delicious. Best vegetarian rolls, tofu pad Thai. Excellent service.
Food is good, however, they never open on time or answer their phones also can’t leave voicemails because it’s full. Probably since they do not answer
Great wings and sesame chicken
Erawan Thai is an absolute gem in the heart of Columbus, Ohio! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality.
The menu offers a delightful array of Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and freshness. I highly recommend trying their Pad Thai; it's a true standout with its perfect balance of sweet and savory. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a memorable dining experience truly sets Erawan Thai apart. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Erawan Thai is a must-visit destination that never disappoints.
Food is absolutely amazing, great tasting. But customer service is horrible, waiter was rude and ignored my multiple request for items like bowl sizes and colored menus. This place can be a 5/5 if they keep the chef, and change the waiter/waitress/server. I will not be coming back until that change is made, it is impossible to eat in a good and happy mood with my family while experiencing that service.
Good Thai foods. Diner is kinda outdated, but foods are good.
We had the Tom Yum (seafood) in hotpot. It was delicious. We have had quite a bit of TomYum and this had the best flavor and tasty. We chose “3” on heat and it was hot but not too much. We shared this. We are “big” eaters and was enough for the two of us. If we are in the area again, definitely will eat there again.
The great reviews don't lie in this place! We initially almost drove away at first because the place looked deserted and in a small, unattractive location. SO glad we stayed!
My wife and I ordered the Tom Yum hot pot, level 3 heat (out of possible 4). This was the best version of Tom Yum without coconut milk that we have eaten yet!
There was LOTS of food for two, (ordered 2 bowls of rice). The balance of sweet and fish sauce was exquisite! Really unpretentious location and plating, but the food just shines!!!
Excellent food. Great spice. Very minimalistic but comfortable restaurant. I will certainly go back.
Tasty and authentic Thai and Vietnamese
I come here every time I was some pho. They have the best pho in Columbus.
I was greeted immediately and seated afterwards. The decor featured Southeastern Asian art. The service was quick the food was genuinely delicious. I will be back to try other dishes on the menu. It appears there are Laotian style dishes as well. Definitely check it out if you enjoy Southeast Asian food.
Man I’m so upset to write this. Let me just start out saying I’ve been going here for YEARSSSSSS….up till today smh unfortunately. Food is excellent but today the dude was soooo rude to me I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what I even tried to reason with him and see what was wrong if I did Anything wrong and he says I always have a problem when I come In… it’s just funny cause if that was true why would I keep coming back??? Was definitely the craziest experience I ever went through. All because I asked To not be charged for the the extra items I asked For this time cause last time I asked For them paid extra which I never Mind doing but I didnt Receive the items. Didn’t know till I got Home. So I asked If I could Get the same thing and just be charged for regular price and he just flipped smh. Never again. Not going lie neither I wasnt Even going to say this cause I wasnt Trying to be “that guy” but one day I even Heard from the back..”oh is that the black guy”?? I looked Like huh? But decided to shrug it off. But yea now that I think Of it I do Get them vibes from this place so to all african Americans not telling you not to eat here but. Well you will see what I’m talking about….
very very delicious authentic thai food! highly recommend!
Everything is
The best overall Thai we have found in Columbus. The Spicy Fried Rice is amazing and the curry’s and soups have always been delicious. Prefer the Pad Thai at Bangkok down the road personally, but they’re takeout only. Erawan is the place to go for sit down meals and the small staff is incredibly hard working and polite.
Great service, best Thai food I’ve had in Columbus.
Real Crab Ragoon, I would come back here just to buy 6-8 of them for $8 or so. It is worth it. We actually got the sampler and wished we just ordered the crab Ragoon. I am used to the fake stuff so this was so good and reminded me of my fave crab Ragoon from a place in Portland Maine. The shrimp puff was tasty as well along with the peanut sauce on the app sampler. I enjoyed trying the satay and spring roll but the crab Ragoon would have been WAY better.
The panang Curry was also delicious as I got it at 3 spicy on a 1-4 level. It was not too spicy at all. My nose started to run a little towards the end but the sweetness of the curry with 3 spice gives it a delectable flavor. I am usually a green curry guy but I would get the panang Curry again. My wife got the Pad Thai at a 2 and hers was definitely spicy. I thought it was pretty good as it was good for pad Thai but not the best ever. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quick as well. Our cbus Thai place had been Banh Thai before they shut down and this place would fill that void if it wasn't so far on the east side.
She said best pad thai and she was right spring roll is amazing as well
Amazing hidden treasure a must on your restaurant bucket list for sure.
Food 10/10
Price 10/10
Custom service 10/10
Location 5/10
We came at 4ish. Wasn't busy but it qas a long wait for service. The food was a little disappointing too.
Family friendly atmosphere,. Wait staff were super,.: my first time there,.. food was ok… I don’t know if I’m used different type of thai or wether this is authentic.. but it was not what I had in mind.. it wasn’t bad,. Just didn’t do it for me…
First time here food was great !!! This might be better than hibachi !
The absolute best Thai food in Columbus. Very unassuming but excellent service from super friendly staff and food is so good. Great curry! Well worth the trip.
There are many things I’d love to try on Erawan’s menu, but the pho with beef tendon and tripe is so good that I can’t bring myself to stray from it. The beef tendon is well cooked and melts in your mouth. Love this place.
Ok
Little hole in the wall restaurant serving delicious authentic Thai cuisine.
The server was very nice, but seemed overworked and apparently had trouble relaying the orders to the kitchen. They had a lot of cute decor, but didn't take care of it. The whole place generally didn't seem very clean.
Lot of sugar but otherwise good food
Food was exceptional. Great service and great ice tea and ice coffee
Everything I had was delicious. Portions are great. Definitely recommend the beef laab
Excellent service and great food. Found a new restaurant to frequent.
I was Looking for Thai food to eat and went out of my way to visit this location. Food is good; however, the price is too high for location and I did not like it when the owner added the tip into my bill for two people---for lunch. We did not see the itemized bill (for lunch she told me the total came out over $60, I let it go). I was planning to come back, after that I did not think it worth it, to drive out there out of my way. I don't mind to tip, but resentful toward the owner take the tip automatically for herself. Wanting more money added to the price; so we can see up front or gave a warning while taking out orders (that time only 1 table beside us).
Best in town and worth the drive.
I love the papaya salad and my husband and kids love the pad kee mao. We always bring home an extra order to share the next day.
Food and service were both excellent. They have all the stuff you'd think of at a Thai restaurant in America plus a bunch of more interesting and obscure dishes. The drunken noodles and tofu larb were particularly great.
I went here a while ago but the food was so good i still think about it to this day. I was really impressed by the amazing food - and i’ve been to thailand multiple times!
First time visiting and ordering Vietnamese cuisine. We found their Bananna Sweet Black Rice so good, that we ordered extra for take home for our late night snack. Service was friendly and personable. I highly recommend the Rare Steak Pho, which I had never had before. Price was reasonable.
Without a doubt, best thai food I've had in Columbus. Food was delicious and clearly made with authenticity in mind. Service was great. I will definitely go back again soon.
They recently got s new guy and the quality of food and service went down
Absolutely fantastic. Got the drunken noodle and the mango rice for dessert. They made my dish as spicy as I requested, which was a relief after so many times not getting that at other restaurants. Very kind and attentive server.
The GOAT when it comes to thai
Wait.too long too slow 🐌😴
This is by far the most authentic Thai restaurant I’ve had in Ohio coming from a Thai person. The restaurant itself looks outdated but the food there more than compensated for it. Definitely worth a detour.
Awesome food with a wide selection to choose from.
Not a very good place for Thai food. The drunken noodle that I’ve ordered was very soggy and didn’t cook well. At the end, tip (18%) was automatically added for one person dine in and weird.
Super food with authentic tastes! Many unique dishes from this mom and pop store. I’ve been looking for good Thai food for years. I’ve tracked a lot of places and this is one of the best that I’ve come across. Easily the best Thai food in Columbus.
I was waiting to meet a friend and was in my old stomping grounds as a kid. I figured let's try some Thai food. Wow this place was fantastic. The Bangkok spring rolls were fresh, crispy, and delicious. The sweet and sour looked to be house made. Don't quote me on that. The Panang Curry with chicken was outstanding. I only selected 2 out of 4 on the heat level. I plan on graduating up to 3 next time. "Chris likes his curry spicy! ' (Seinfeld). If I had any complaint it would be that the chicken was a bit rubbery. I will go with a different meat next time. Place is still 5 ⭐ for flavor. Recommend.
Excellent authentic Thai food. The steak and shrimp stir fry and fried rice was awesome.
The spicy asian wings and sticky rice were
amazing as well. Will definitely be back.
Pathetic, owners are womanizers and misbehave
Very nice
I heard about this place because my sister recommended it. This place is the real deal for Thai food. It's very authentic and delicious, Staff is friendly I will surely come back next time for dine in.
Amazing fried rice you need to try the beef jerky and sticky rice great place will be back!
Was craving for some Vietnamese food, so decided to look for a place near by and saw this was only six miles away. When entering the place the theme reminded be back to when I was last in Southeast Asia in 2017. My order was the Vietnamese Pho along with an Iced coffee. The food and service we excellent. If you happen to be on the east side of Columbus, I would highly recommend this place.
Food: 5/5
Location: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Yelp: 4/5
Google: 4.5/5
My overall score of the place is a 4.8
DELISH. Authentic Thai food served in a quaint Pacific environment. Super fast service, too - all of our food was out in about 10 minutes, and all of it was EXCELLENT. Real crab in the crab Rangoon, spicy seafood soup was satisfying and rich with flavor, the spicy calamari was crispy and savory, and the tofu was outstanding - garlicky and light. We're already excited to return!
I've always loved their Tom Kha soups. Soooo good!
Delicious foods. Friendly owner/service. Flexible with our request.
Dislike. How far is it from us :/
18% tip add on my bill without inform
Delicious Thai food! We loved the pad Thai and fried rice!
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. The food is outstanding.
OH wow guys this is the BEST Thai food in Ohio authentic at its finest small lil place with the Great big taste this is a must visit great job staff. You have earned some true customers for life. Where is the extra star.
Very authentic cuisine!
Service was fine. Food was pretty subpar. The noodles were over cooked and seasoning wasn’t quite there. The salad was kinda gross.
I tried the level 4 spicy fried rice. It was good but it is not for the weak. I dare not try level 5.
talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is fantastic! I always make sure to get the veggie salad when I go. The lettuce is fresh, the pineapple is perfectly sweet, the peanut salad dressing fantastic, the tofu is hot and crisp, just a splendid salad. The tom kha is PERFECTLY seasoned. Honestly it's the new standard for that soup now. I dooo wish it wasn't half a bowl of onions and there was more broth when I got it though. But that's just because the broth is soo good! And finally let me tell you about the eggplant stir fry in garlic sauce. I caught myself doing a lil food happy dance while eating it because it was so good! I know this is a Thai resteraunt but honestly the eggplant reminded me of when I had it in Beijing. It was that good. Perfectly spiced as well, and the tofu I had stir fried into it was fantastic in that sauce as well. I hope more people visit this restaurant! I highly highly recommend eating here!
I was just not very impressed with the food here, and the price was well above average. We enjoy authentic Thai food for the freshness and flavors (we have Thai family, have spent plenty of time in Thailand, and know authentic dishes), but even asking for the "Thai spicy" level gave us very bland meals. We also ordered pho (which is not Thai, but is my son's favorite food in general). It too was rather bland and the meat was poorly trimmed with quite a bit of fat and gristle on it. The food was not horrible by any means and the portions were excellent it was just bland, and kind of expensive. The restaurant is about 25 minutes away from my home, and I will probably not go out of my way to return.
Horrible experience, horrible Pad Thai and awful chicken wings. Wasted $40 on some nasty food. Asked for shrimp Pad Thai and got chicken so I had to wait for them to remake. Should have just asked for my money back. And the couple that was dining in just left their food as well. I was sitting in my car and saw them walk out with no doggie bag and they had alot of food on their plates. So they must of experienced horrible food as well. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!
Love Thai food
I just love eating here...they are a little pricey but it's cozy and the staff makes you feel like you're eating at their home...
Food is ok. Every time I've ordered the spice level has been inconsistent. I've had medium that is hotter than the spicy on the same dish. For the price point, the quantity of food is very small. It is very hard to reach them on the phone to place a take out order.
The lobby was a bright cave there was no sound there was no music there was no movement. Our waitress was like ricochet rabbit here there and didn't really seem to care care. The pad tie Wat Thai was sugar noodles a lot to be Desired
Food was SO delicious & friendly service. Was so impressed! Highly recommend!!
I used to dine here 2x a week and was a regular but these past few months the food quality has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY. I mean, it’s become bland and tastes burnt. The pad Thai like mush. I’m so upset because this used to be my FAV spot. Idk who they have cooking now but please change it.
