The food, the service, the environment are nice. The Crab Fried Rice is our favorite. The drawback is that there isn’t any picture at the Manu.

Diner Review №2

The food is reasonably priced. The taste is sweet and spicy. But I am not satisfied with the experience because of the service. They will take your order with a smile. After the food is served, basically no one comes to serve you. No one changes the plates. No one comes to refill the water. My whole table was full of garbage and no one came to change it. Only one paper towel is given. You have to reuse it. Overall it is not pleasant.

Diner Review №3

Good service from the Asian male waiter and good food I got the crispy chicken with rice and radish soup.

Diner Review №4

HangChen is very good

Diner Review №5

The foods here are huge and there is a nice asian guy here doing a great job.

Diner Review №6

The food was fine, however is the service was good. Especially Hang Chen was great. He has real nice attitude, speaks friendly, real nice waiter to have at this place.

Lovely ambience, for date night or pals get together! Quick and efficient service at dinner, no wait, did not have a reservation.

Delicious appetizer veggies (green beans) and Thai dishes. Large portion. Has wine, drink menu.

Diner Review №9

Came for dinner on Friday night. The place was full, luckily we had a reservation. Everything we ordered was really tasty and the portions are very generous and perfect for sharing. The only thing we had to ask for was the water refill, otherwise service was wonderful. Will definitely come again.

Diner Review №10

The food was wonderful but the staff is questionable. We sat down and maybe only after 10-15 minutes a server came up to me and my family. The food comes out and my mom who’s never had Thai food before asks the waiter if there’s a correct way to eat it and he goes “you eat it however you wanna eat it” and leaves. They take my father’s fork and we try to call a waiter, but to no avail. Every time we tried to ask them for a fork, they looked us dead in the eye and ran away. My mom has to get up and approach one of the workers for a fork. They only approach you when you’re eating and busy with food so you can’t respond to them but when you actually need help, they just run from you.

They only became “nice” when it came to the end. And they have the audacity to ask for $30 tips.

Food was great but you need to either hire more servers or tell your current once to do better. I’m not usually the one to judge servers and the staff cause I know how hard working in a restaurant could get but damn. So disappointing.

Diner Review №11

2025.02 service is good, prompt. Price vs portion is good. Food are heavy taste and greasy. We ordered the crispy pork, that is a little disappointed, pork in freezer too long and vegetables are cutte too small to pick up by fork. Overall food taste good .. morning glory and the clam. Oh their tap water is really taste tap, should put some lime or lemon.

Diner Review №12

The place itself is beautifully decorated. The individual booth with over heard canopies are adorable and allow you privacy while you dine. Service is quick and friendly. The money bag dumplings are a must. They even have a happy hour menu, with awesome old fashioneds. I had the pleasure of being served by bartender/ server Natalia. She was professional but warm. She took orders, helped with to go's, made cocktails, all with a sweet smile and confident demeanor. She made me feel at home and i thoroughly enjoyed my experience not only for the great eats but her presence. Would highly recommend.
Place is great!

Absolutely amazing food, it’s was so delicious and very friendly staff.

Diner Review №15

Went with a bunch of friends. We ordered to share, food was good. The curries were a little more soupy than we thought and definitely needed more rice to go with them

Diner Review №16

Natalia is so personalable and conversational. She is so warm and welcoming

Diner Review №17

natalia is the best bar tender Ive ever had

Diner Review №18

I dined here with friends and had a wonderful time at dinner. The service was prompt and courteous.
We started with the Siam appetizer sampler, which included chicken satay, money bag dumplings, chive cakes, and the soft shell crab mango salad. The salad was exceptional; the soft shell crab was light and crispy, and the mango and herbs in it complemented it perfectly.

For our main courses, we ordered the red duck curry, chicken pad kee mao, and steamed striped bass. We also requested extra rice, as it's always appreciated with curries.

The duck curry was my favorite dish; the lychees balanced the spiciness in it. The pad kee mao however was spicier than I prefer, but my friends thoroughly enjoyed it. The striped bass fish was different than your usual Thai curries - it was light, sour, and umami, not sweet or creamy as most curries are. There were a few bones though, so definitely need to be careful eating this dish.
If I return to Staten Island, I would definitely revisit this restaurant.

Very good food, service by Yasmine was excellent. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №26

Ying was our waitress. She was great in every way, very attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Diner Review №27

Pretentious, obnoxious and outright rude. Avoid at all cost, the servers and staff there are extremely rude, from the moment we walked in, they treat customers like beggars or enemies at war, they were not even that busy like around half full, but they ignored us constantly, we had a reservation and they put us (just two) right in the mix of another group of 6(awkward), I tried to ask the server nicely to move to another empty table with more privacy, but they refused saying that the table is for customers with reservation, but we had a reservation! Basically just ignored us and left us be seated with another group without anything. This place isn’t worth it, avoid these rude and obnoxious people there.

Diner Review №28

UPDATE (12/24):
I love when businesses actually take costumer’s feedback into consideration and try to improve their services. I had a rather important gathering and after looking through restaurants with nice ambiance, we decided to give Siam a second shot.

I must say, service was SO MUCH better. I’d asked for a semi-private table, and we were seated in the back area. Despite being away from the main dining area, our server kept checking in on us and filling our glasses. I forgot her name, but I think she deserves a shoutout because we’d ask her to help us pack some leftovers, including a white rice. Long story short, the rice was accidentally dropped on the floor, and the server said she’ll pack a new one for us. Impressively, she’d left the one that was dropped on the table until after she came out with our packed food. That way, we could rest assured we weren’t going home with a white rice that was just on the floor. Our guests were undoubtedly impressed and pleased with their experience at Siam. We’ll definitely be back.

=====================

Super trendy spot on the island. Great for dates, hangouts, and even family gatherings. Food was overall good (some dishes were better than others) but service was SUBPAR. They had four people working in the front on a Tuesday night, but they were all super inattentive, speaking among themselves, staring into space or onto the ground, basically anything and everything BUT focusing on their patrons. We had to ask for everything twice. Some other people had to walk up to the cashier to pay the bill because the staff didn’t even care to close out the bill. On the fence about coming back because this place has so much potential, but the lazy staff was a huge letdown.

5 stars all across the board. Beautiful place, it is elegant swanky with amazing attention to detail. I love how big their menu is between drinks appetizers and entrees. The lychee martinis are a hit. Strong too. They have mild, spicy dishes, seafood dishes and vegetarian dishes. Portions are wonderful for sharing. I tried their fried calamari, noodles with short ribs and chicken pineapple fried rice. Everything was rich, flavorful, seasoned well with impeccable presentation. Food was cooked fast and the service was 10/10: they knew the menu like the back of their hands. I personally loved how spicy the noodles were and the hint of curry in the fried rice was a nice touch. I also loved their party dining hall, super luxurious and intimate. I saw a table of 20 seated and was thoroughly impressed with how well staff catered to them when I passed by. The staff here sat us at a table at the bar to watch the mike tyson fight on Netflix, I appreciated them accommodating us . Prices here are good, for two rounds of cocktails, app and two entrees it came out to $120. Bathroom and tables were super clean too. I can’t wait to come back here again.

Diner Review №31

My husband and I went for an early dinner (around 4:30). It started out great - we were promptly seated and our order was taken fairly quickly. The place is beautifully decorated (hence the 5 stars for atmosphere) with a separate bar area which I imagine can get pretty loud during peak hours. Anyway. Our appetizers were actually fantastic (husband got curry puffs and I got chicken satay) and I kind of wish we’d stuck to just that. Only I got an entree since my husband wasn’t actually hungry at the time, and got one of the steak dishes (Tiger something?). It was beautifully presented. I didn’t realize that there would be dried shrimp in the papaya salad that came with it. The papaya salad listed on the menu as an appetizer lists it as an ingredient but I didn’t think to cross check. Oh well. The steak itself, however, was very unevenly cooked - practically well done on one side, medium rare on another. Well seasoned and delicious despite that, but disappointing considering the price point. The sticky rice (came with steak, also in dessert) was consistently… well… not sticky. It felt kind of like badly microwaved rice.
During our entire time there, our server did not check on us at all. Even after we’d finished eating and were sitting there with our plates pushed to the end of the table along with our empty cups. We eventually ended up flagging down the server for the table next to us, who agreed to take our dessert order and bring our check. Our check never came. My husband and I are fairly laid back diners and don’t mind waiting if a place is busy but this was absurd. We ended up having to actually go up to the register on our way out and wouldn’t even have left a tip except we felt bad (not sure why). Possibly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in like a decade.

Food was GREAT
The staff was SO FRIENDLY!
Nicest people and so diligent!
Such an awesome experience!
Going again, DEFINITELY!!!

Diner Review №39

We went here on a family date. The dishes we ordered to share, our favorite was the crab curry. It had eggs in it and paired well with rice and the flavor it had.

The corn salad was refreshing and corn sweet, The short rib curry was underwhelming but very tender. Zaab wings had nice crunch but did not see toasted rice, maybe its w the wing coat?? Pad see ew had good wok flavor and i was a big fan of the flavor.

The thai tea was sweet and not watery, a fan. The rice shape was fun and the bathroom was nice.

Diner Review №40

Their food is very good. They put a lot of ingredients into the food. They provide food with their heart! Look at the Tom Yum soup; there are a lot of ingredients. There are chunks of real crab meats in the crab fried rice. Their Thai iced tea is yummy. I like the sauce coming with Money Bag Dumplings. Pad See Ew is chewy and not spicy, which is good for kids. We ordered duck red cuurry; here's a buy one get one free items presently which is very attractive and it worths the price! For example, mussel green curry and Thai iced tea. However, I don't know how to appreciate papaya salad. Maybe the local people know. Don't order soft shelled crab cury; the crab is as small as a teenager's first.

Diner Review №41

The flavors of the green curry were amazing. Drink's are flavorful and have the right amount of booze. Service was slow and charged extra for rice without letting us know.

Diner Review №42

Although the food was delicious, I wish waiters would address loud parties. I came here with my bf and there were many families and couples eating and there was one group of about 6-8 females all the day in the front very loud for about an hour and a half now imagine for over an hour you hear people screaming on the top of their lungs laughing like hyenas I couldn’t even hear my partner who was sitting next to me. I wish waiters would have told them if they can please lower their voices because you aren’t in a setting to be so loud and inconsiderate of other dining members.

Lets start with the wonderful decor is this place. Very high end feels very comfortable. The servers was very welcoming and attentive. We order a more than what we can eat because we just like to try food and we'll pack it up if we don't finish. The whole experience was overall good. But the seasoning was a little bit off from all the dishes. Of course everyone has a different palette and taste food differently. Everything was a little too sweet for me, flavors were too bold. But of course that's thai food and it's known for bold flavors, so no points off for that. It's just the sweetness is overpowering the other flavors. Have room to improve but for the price I would expect the chef to be more attentive of the flavors. I would recommend anyone to try, although the flavor is not for me this could be someones GEM.

Diner Review №47

It has a nice vibe and aesthetic at restaurants, however the food wasn't that great, over priced...! I ordered tomahawk, my wife had organic chicken ( rice came with it, was overcooked, extremely hard cut thru even with a knife! ), and my son had beef noodles soup, we had high hopes, but it was disappointed at the end.

I don’t mind paying the price if the food was up the standards.

Diner Review №48

Very authentic and tasty food! I really enjoyed the big portions and the comfortable atmosphere. When it gets busy they might forget some orders or neglect you but otherwise I had a good experience.

Diner Review №49

Pretty impressive to have good Thai food in the island

Diner Review №54

Very nice food and inside!

Diner Review №55

Delicious duck and sample platter

Diner Review №56

This is my first time eat at here. Absolutely one of the best crab fried rice we have ever had. Curry short ribs very tender and tasty. Siam platte just soso. They do have happy hour menu from 3-6pm. The service was about and beyond. Definitely will back asap.

Diner Review №57

A welcome restaurant to Staten Island.
Authentic flavors and welcoming ambiance.

Diner Review №58

I recently dined at Saim Thai, and it was truly a culinary delight! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect.

Now, let's talk about the food—absolutely amazing! The Pad Kee Mao was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice, and the Pad See Eew had such rich and authentic flavors. Every dish was a harmonious blend of fresh ingredients and traditional Thai spices, making each bite a new experience. The presentation was beautiful, and the portions were generous.

If you're a fan of Thai cuisine or just looking for an outstanding meal, Siam Thai Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!

Diner Review №59

I loved the food and restaurant. HOWEVER, the slim server working the Noon shift with pink highlights and faux dramatic eyelashes on 8/16/24 stole my credit card information to shop at QVC!! It was either her or one of the 3 girls at the counter that day. Very unpleasant experience. Now I have to switch my cc. It's a shame!

Diner Review №60

Food and drinks are great, big portions comes oit fast

Diner Review №61

Siam is a much needed, quiet, clean Thai experience for this area. This place is turning out simply excellent food and drinks in a great atmosphere

Diner Review №62

Beware, automatic tips! Servers cheat you! Long story short, the server cheated us and put 18% tip on to our bill and I never approved it at all and this was after I left the establishment. I called the restaurant to inquire and they said their servers didn’t do it, meanwhile I know for sure that I didn’t add that at all. The manager did not want to reverse the extra charge as they said it was illegal. However what the server did to me was illlegal. Of course they will protect their servers, and don’t care to help their customers.

The food is good, but service from waiters, horrible! That’s why I put 2 stars. Just be aware and make sure to check your credit card statements and keep your receipts. 🧾

This is an honest and real statement and the establishment basically said that their servers didn’t or wouldn’t do it, but they did. I put a line through the tip part and they sent the receipt to me, and the 18% box was checked by their servers once we left. So it goes to show that they cheat their customers.

Diner Review №63

Definitely recommended!

Not only does the food taste delicious but the atmosphere was a 5/5! Very welcoming and fancy! It’s a nice place to gather as individuals or in groups!

If you’re a beer lover, you have to try their Siam Lager Beers! And my favorite dish was the Tomahwak Short Rib! Lastly, if you have strong taste bud and love green tea, you must try their homemade green tea ice cream 🤤

Diner Review №64

Wow, what a restaurant. I’ve only heard of the Siam in Queens, but seeing their Staten Island location blew our minds. We had lunch around 2pm and wasn’t crowded at all. Servers are very friendly, professional and efficient. Ambiance/decor has got to be one of the best of all restaurants on Staten Island. Food came out quick and the flavors were phenomenal (I highly recommend soft shell crab curry & duck red curry). Calamari was hot and very crispy. Tom yum was to die for, as well. If you dine here, it will be very obvious they paid close attention to the small details of food and ambiance. I’m Thai and ate in Thailand and can say this place is the best tasting and closest I’ve had to the real thing in NYC. The only “downside” to some people might be their steep prices—it’s basically Manhattan pricing (think $16-$20 cocktails or $80-$100/person). Highly recommended restaurant!

Diner Review №65

Had a great evening at Siam Thai today. Had some really great recommendations from Jenna and Eric at the Bar. Jenna had recommended me the soft shell crab curry which reminded me of a dish from Sri Lanka. Eric had recommended me the clams which were delicious following it with the grilled pork jowl. Eric had made me a spectacular cocktail of his own. The flavors were really distinguishable with citrus notes along with the perfect tartness.

Diner Review №66

I had a pleasant time at this restaurant with my boyfriend. The presentation and quality of the food exceeded my expectations. I especially enjoyed the chive cakes. It's definitely the place to go to for a nice dinner in Staten Island.

Diner Review №74

A beautiful space and bar that plays into a jungle theme with gorgeous decor.

Along with the menu, they also had a happy hour and lunch menu. My first visit and went with their sampler off the appetizer listing and fried sea bass as my main dish accompanied by a passion fruit margarita mocktail. Wait staff was very attentive and never had to ask for refills.

Presentation of drinks and plates matched the decor of the restaurant. The choices did not disappoint and full of flavor. Definitely would recommend.

Diner Review №75

Very good thai food, its a little expensive as person is like 30-40.

Diner Review №76

Nice addition to SI. If you live in SI and dont eat much Thai, its a good refreshing option. If you are used to eating good Thai in the other boroughs this may feel a little pretentious but still a good option all considering. Plates meant for sharing but they give you tiny plates to use.
Overall I prefer the food at Chang Noi Thai by the ferry but the ambiance here is much nicer.

CORN SALAD 2/5 - Just skip
MONEY BAG DUMPLINGS 4/5 - Solid filling. Get this
CHICKEN SATAY 3/5 - Just your basic satay
PAD KRA PAO (ground pork) 3/5 - Meh. Mostly vegetables
SPICY FILET MIGNON BASIL 4/5 - Better, but still mostly veg
CHICKEN GREEN CURRY 4/5 - Good quality curry
PAD KEE MAO (Shrimp) 4/5 - Wish they offered seafood mix instead of the the basic
CRAB FRIED RICE 4/5 - Good amount of crab
CHINESE BROCCOLI 3/5
Dessert 3/5
Drinks 2/5. Very weak, gunpowder too sweet

Diner Review №77

Best Thai food I ever had. The wings are to die for.

Diner Review №78

Delicious and big portions (for 2-3 people).
$25 for the lunch menu is a good deal considering the amount of food.
Like their thai tea - not too sweet as it typically gets.
Coming back for a date night - you can spend a lot of money here! 😅

Diner Review №79

must go again

Diner Review №80

I have already dined there twice with my husband. Their food is very delicious. I recommend the papaya salad, fried calamari, deep fried whole striped bass and jasmine ginger rice. Everything is full of flavor and taste very fresh. If you are hesitating to eat here, do not hesitate any longer.

Diner Review №81

Beautiful restaurant. The decor and design is beautiful. The food and drniks were amazing. We can't wait to revisit.

Diner Review №82

The food is as good as the branch in Queens. Since it’s Thai food so the taste is rich in flavor. Price is not cheap though so can’t visit that often. Oldies don’t really like it coz it’s more on salty and spicy side. It would be better if can choose the spicy levels. But the seating and atmosphere and location are good.

Diner Review №83

Siam is such a great place for date nights, families, and friends gathering!
Very chilling atmosphere, with the bar and lighting, very enjoyable. The food portion is good for sharing. Everyone can try a little bit of something. I've been here a couple of times with friends to try everything on their menu! My number 1 dish is the fried fish! My 2nd favorite was the curry soft shell crab!!
Every time I come is busy, the waiter and waitress are nice, but need a little more attention on the customers, refilling waters and asking needs, etc.

Diner Review №110

The food, atmosphere and service were all definitely so amazing I’ll definitely be recommending this place to all my friends, you’ll definitely have to try the duck curry

Diner Review №111

During their first week of operation on Staten Island in March 2023, my partner and I decided to explore Siam Thai Eatery. This restaurant immediately stood out with its upscale interior and inviting ambiance.

The Good:

Larb Tartare: This appetizer was a delightful surprise. Tasty, flavorful, and with just the right level of heat, the beef tartare was presented beautifully. The accompanying chips added a satisfying crunch. My only regret? Forgetting to ask for the optional egg yolk on top!

Thai Summer Roll: While not extraordinary, the summer roll was good and satisfying.

Duck Red Curry: The star of our meal! Generous pieces of duck swam in a flavorful red curry, complemented by sweet notes from lychees and pineapple. The presentation was excellent, and the mild heat level was perfect.

Beef Pad Kee Mao: Silky noodles, melt-in-the-mouth meat, and a high heat level—this dish hit all the right notes. My only wish? A slightly larger portion.

The Not-So-Good:

Pricing: Here’s the catch. While the food was undeniably delicious, it came with a hefty price tag. Expect Manhattan prices on Staten Island. For some, the premium might be worth it for the elevated experience, but it’s essential to be aware.

Verdict:

Siam Thai Eatery offers a flavorful journey to Thailand right here on Staten Island. If you’re willing to splurge a little, the culinary adventure awaits. Just remember to ask about those optional extras!

Whether you’re a Thai cuisine enthusiast or a curious foodie, Siam Thai Eatery promises an unforgettable dining experience.

Diner Review №115

Giving it two stars is already generous. The food was below expectation. The only dish I think that meet standards was the Tomahawk Short rib with curry (portion was alright but one plate of rice for a table of 6-7 people is beyond absurd). Also the fact that it wasn't that busy and they were able to serve us the wrong dishes 4 times in a row was telling us they were disorganized and wasn't communicating to each other at all. Overall, atmosphere was good but service could be better as we weren't greeted with water or anything until almost 10 minutes into service.

I've come here twice already and it hasn't even been opened very long. The food is top-notch and their drinks are great too. I've gone for lunch and dinner now, and the quality doesn't change. The servers are great and are as accommodating as possible for any food allergies. They make sure to check with the chef to see if any dishes you are interested are free of whatever you are allergic to or are able to recommend something else. I've tried their roasted chicken and their pineapple fried rice, both of which were great. The atmosphere is really nice too with lots of greenery. It definitely feels like you are eating in a fancy restaurant.

The food very delicious. The environment is very comfortable. And they have very good service. Everything is fine. However we order the Duck red churry, they used the can fruits. That I don't like the taste.

Diner Review №128

1 star is generous. $268, 9 Items for 10 people and not a single person was satisfied. For the prices they're posting the portions are absolutely abysmal.

The $48 tomahawk curry was definitely not cooked for as long as they advertised. There was barely enough curry to fill a quarter of the container they provided. For something that's supposed to feed 3-4 people they gave 4 meager pieces of roti.
$18 for soft shell crab curry and you're provided with a single tiny crab that is about the size of a baby's fist and curry that tastes like pure salt in a half quart.
$35 for the "filet mignon", and it's only available in Flushing and yet they're still charging filet mignon prices for ribeye.
$22 for Pad Kee Mao, Tasted like boiled rice noodles, boiled chicken and a sad whisper of spice.
$22 for the beef boat noodle soup of which is a sad attempt at seasoning. You're better off drinking a shot of salt water and following up with dry rice noodles.
$25 for pad Thai and it's just sweet noodles. There's one flavor profile which is extremely impressive for pad thai.
$24 for 2 passable orders of mango sticky rice.
$28 for crab fried rice and that was also just barely passable.

What's really impressive is the ability to make Thai cuisine bland. Every item was insulting to the palate. Overall flavors seemed more like a suggestion of what you might think the dish would taste like rather than even an attempt at recreating the flavors. To call themselves authentic Thai is absolutely insulting.

Can't say much about the service or atmosphere as we ordered take out.

We ordered a few dishes including pad thai, pad kee mao, pad see ew, the tomahawk curry, crab curry, spicy "filet mignon" basil, beef boat noodle, crab fried rice, and a couple mango sticky rices. We were planning to share this with our family of 10, but turns out the portions were way smaller than we imagined. Total of the dinner : $268.95

Both pad thai and pad kee mao was probably the worst we've had. There was not much flavor, just very bland. Tasted like it was missing something. The pad see ew was salty, but again no real flavor. These noodle dishes just tasted like rice noodle with barely any seasoning, with the exception of salt. How can all these noodle dishes look like there was soy sauce but not taste like it? The toddlers eating with us didn't even like the food, and they love eating pad see ew, just not from here.

The tomahawk curry was supposed to serve at least 3-4 people. It barely fed two people. It came with one roti cut into four, that looked like it was microwaved. Once the "tomahawk" was taken out there was barely any curry. The curry was lacking as well, missing flavor. Imagine a curry, without the big curry flavor. The only positive I can give is that the meat was definitely soft. The size of the crab is laughable, fits in your palm. One crab by the way. Curry was absolutely salty. Where is the curry flavor?? Also no rice with these entrees, I'm pretty sure they want you to pay extra for the rice.

The menu advertised as spicy filet mignon basil which is only available in the Flushing location, by the way. We ordered that, but was told it was ribeye at this Staten Island location and was charged the filet mignon price. The beef was bland. Didn't taste like it was previously marinated before it was cooked. Was flavorless as well as everything else we ordered. The vegetables tasted good at least, but that's about it.

Beef boat noodle looked promising. It was a good serving size, however it was so salty. You can smell that there was spices used but none of it could be tasted. Again, just salty, salty, salty. Beef Maruchan would taste better than this, and that is embarrassing to say.

Crab fried rice was maybe the most redeemable item off the menu that we ordered. Tasted like crab, it was decent. The fried rice was the only thing that wasn't too salty or too bland. But it still could've used a little more of something.

Not much to say about mango sticky rice, it's just mango with coconut sticky rice. Can't possibly mess that up.

Overall I would not recommend this place. I would feel so sorry for you if you ate here as your first experience for Thai food. Even after all that we ordered, we had to order pizza. Go elsewhere if you want Thai.

Just had takeout from here and boy was I floored. The decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant was amazing. I felt like I was transported to a restaurant in Manhattan. The service was super friendly and prompt. The food? Oh my word. Out of this world, especially the “moneybag” appetizer. Absolutely the best of all the things I tried there.

What was ordered:
Siam Platter
Pad Thai with added basil
Pad See Ew
Thai Chicken Rice

Everything was delicious and worth it. But definitely shout out to the Siam Platter.

If I can only order one thing from there, it would hands down be the platter. No doubts about it. Everything was on point.

People might say the food is on the pricier side but I say, it’s worth every cent.

Definitely going to be visiting here more in the future and trying out the rest of their menu.

Diner Review №131

We were a party of 6 and everyone had the same review of this place - it’s awesome. There is still so much that I would like to try but for this particular evening, we ordered the seafood tom yum, papaya salad, soft shell crab mango salad, Siam platter, chicken satay, pad kra pao, pineapple fried rice, chicken pad thai, desert platter, and homemade coconut ice cream. For a party of 6, this may have not seemed like a lot of food but it definitely filled all of us up. Nothing was too spicy and everything came very quickly.

Out of the plates we got, I would recommend the Siam platter, seafood tom yum, soft shell crab mango salad, pad thai, and desert platter.

10/10 would come back and excited to try other, less conventional, items.

P.S cocktails were yummy too!

Diner Review №132

Cozy place with nice decorations and atmosphere! Came here on Monday night so plenty of seats. All the seafood are amazingly fresh and good. The clams and mussels are larger and fatty than usually seen in other places. Also love the Money Bag Dumplings in the Siam Platter with plum dipping sauce. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is simply one of the best places I've eaten in the city! From entering the restaurant to leaving, everything was impressive. Their dining environment is very comfortable and the waiters are friendly and professional. And every dish on the menu is full of creativity and deliciousness! I especially recommend their specialties, every bite left me satisfied.

I have to admit this is the best Thai food spot in the island! The dishes u just try is pad kee mao and the tomahawk short rid, best Thai tea!

Diner Review №163

It’s my third times here, me and my family love the foods here, great service and atmosphere here!

Diner Review №164

The food is pretty good but definitely not worth the price. This meal costed $167 before any taxes/fees.

Diner Review №165

First time trying this new Thai food in Staten Island. First of all, it is expensive as compared to other Thai restaurants in NYC. 2nd, poor time management for take out orders. I placed 2 orders in the restaurant, Pad Thai w/ Shrimp, and a Beef boat noodle at 07:20. The front desk told me the order should take about 15 minutes. And, we got it at 07:50. It only took me 3 minutes to drive home. Then the pad thai is just warm; noodles are sticking together, and the shrimps are almost cold. How did the kitchen handle order that took 30 minutes to serve but just at warm temperatures? It is fried noodles from wok, which supposedly serve as hot.
But overall, the food tasted good but not surprised. The beef boat noodle is in a decent good portion.

Diner Review №166

Food was good but way too expensive for such small portions. Not enough food for two people and way too expensive. There are better places to spend your money. Service was blah.

Diner Review №167

Excited for authentic Thai food. most authentic Thai Ice Tea, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew on the island.
Must get is their Siam Platter, a great price point to be able to try three different appetizers. The platters come with each of the reciprocated sauces. The chives cakes looked dense however it’s light and fluffy inside while crispy on the outside. The chicken skewers are well seasoned and tender. Nicely paired with their peanut sauce.
Money bag were super cute and filled to the brim. The pork filled was tender with a hint of crisp from the chopped up chestnut.

Diner Review №168

Love this new Thai restaurant on SI~ from the food to service, everything is impressive! Keep up the good work, we will be back for sure 😁

Diner Review №169

Atmosphere and services are good. It gives a very “Thailand” vibe. The Siam platter is a good option if u have a party of at least 3-4 people. It gives a taste of about 4 different starters. Green curry is pretty spicy and the street fried pork is yummy! Pineapple fried rice looks good. Overall, it’s great!

Diner Review №178

This is my new “PitStop” returning from a roadtrip back home to Long Island after a stay on the Jersey Shores, Atlantic City or Philly to break up the long travel; sit, relax and enjoy! The “New”Siam Thai Eatery is located within the Hylan Plaza Shopping Center off Hylan Blvd, Staten Island. I’ve eaten at Siam Thai other location in Queens and always am pleased so I was excited to visit Staten Island for a meal! Upon entering the outside has a beautiful painted mural than through the front door the eatery has a modern Thai decor throughout the dining room. There is also a bar section where you can enjoy a cocktail and some tables to dine as well. So to begin the evening we enjoyed cocktails in the bar and had a Crazy Little Thing which was delicious mix of Tequila, Rum and pineapple, lite spice and Smokey flavor. Later sitting for our dining experience I ordered my normal Thai apps and entrees: Raw Oysters, the sampler which is Chive Cakes, Chicken Satay skews, and the Money bag dumplings which were all delicious. To clean the pallets now we had a refreshing Papaya Salad that had all the right crisp, crunch and zest touch with papaya, green beans, peanuts, and tomatoes. Of course what’s a Thai dinner without Pad Thai Noodle entree that the rice noodles were perfect and flavor was spot on! I was definitely pleased with my meal quality, friendly and terrific service which means I shall be back. Thank you, and you are my new addition to my “WazeMap” favorites

Diner Review №179

很开心在这里开了一家自己喜欢的泰餐,终于不用大老远跑到其他地方了,细致又温柔的服务很到位,菜品依然是喜爱的口味,吃到后面都已经忘记拍照了😏

Diner Review №180

Food was okay. It was pricy.

Diner Review №181

I gave 3stars for the food, because even they tasted great, but in small portion, for "share the plates" we ordered, they were barely enough for 2 people per order, but the prices were over charged.

The service deserves 2 only because we made the reservation and arrived the restaurant on time, but the table was not ready. Without any apology, they kept us waiting for 10 minutes. Plus, the pita we ordered at the beginng were finally put on the table when we almost finished all the dishes. The weird is they put forks and knives on the table instead of chopsticks and spoon for Thai food.

The atmosphere was good because it was newly opened on the Staten Island. But we noticed the owner’s or manager's kids were running around in the restaurant, which doesn't match the professional level the owner tried to reach.

Overall, although we hate to use "cheating" to describe the restaurant, we do feel the food we had were NOT WORTH.

Diner Review №182

I wish I can give a higher score that a 2 star but unfortunately I was really disappointed the atmosphere is nice, service was good. I came here with my wife yesterday we ordered the Chicken Pad Kee Mao which is something we always get. We eat Thai for at least once every two weeks…. This had to be me the most unflavored dish ever which is shocking because it’s packed with vegetables. This place really needs to consider seasoning their noodles better and chicken i hope see improvement in the future because they’re so close to my house I finally thought wow I don’t have to drive to the city for good Thai food…. Nvm this place needs work I am willing to try it again but if they don’t listen to customer feed back they’re not going to last.

Here is what my family member thought of it too pic below

Diner Review №183

This place is definitely a must-try. It just opened recently and will definitely be coming back. Its a great spot for a date - the decor is really nice. Food is great too. I would recommend the crab curry and and wings!! Goes great with a bowl of rice. My girl also got a crab dish - their crab friend rice and I've never seen her clean a bowl so quick! And if you can handle the spice, try their oysters. They were super fresh but definitely have a kick to them.

Diner Review №184

Delicious food and wonderful ambiance! Highly recommend this spot for a date night or even just for a night out, the food and service was amazing. Will definitely be back!

Diner Review №185

Nice restaurant, but not the real thai food that I expected .

Diner Review №186

Absolutely gorgeous place and a great addition to the Asian cuisine on Staten Island. The food was delicious. The waitress was very friendly. Definitely one of my new favorite spots. The prices are high but the portion size is big. Definitely worth the money.

Diner Review №187

Took my dad to eat at this new Thai restaurant at the Boulevard. We ordered the chicken satay and the short rib curry along with a small pot of black hot tea. Ambience and service are good, however, the food is not what I had expected. Everything came out at room temperature except for the hot tea. Need to pay an extra $3 for a very small bowl of white rice to eat with the curry. The nan bread came with it was not enough. Taste wise, nothing makes me want to go back. High price but mediocre foods at best. The is a relatively upscale restaurant that was recently opened...not impressed.

Diner Review №188

First time here, ordered what I usually get at a Thai cuisine “Pad Thai” it was a little bland flavor at first but our server was able to accommodate my palate.

Our server was friendly and very accommodating.

I wish they have more desert options.

The corn salad and fried shrimp is a great combination I must say.

The ambiance here feels like Manhattan love it!

Will definitely try different food and drinks next time!

Diner Review №189

我觉得食物大致都偏甜(每个人口味不一样)吃完有点腻.并且之后我胃还不舒服.
木瓜沙拉最佳 服务最佳

Diner Review №190

一言难尽的服务,食物还算可以。 小费是按税后计算的,要自己算清楚。 点了木瓜沙拉,后来被服务员迷惑操作,硬生生加了虾。我们原本也点了虾。 为了多赚钱,能坑就肯。

Diner Review №191

Staten Island finally has a amassing Thai restaurant! Very cool vibe and comfortable seating. Friendly and knowledgeable staffs especially bartender Nicole makes great cocktails and shots! Food is authentic Thai and you can adjust the level of spicy base on your preference. Highly recommend the tomahawk and mango stick rice as desserts! Already been here 2 times already

Diner Review №192

Hit or miss with the food. I recommend the crispy pork belly dish.

Diner Review №193

Went today for the first time. The food was very tasty. I asked for Thai iced tea light on the ice but was brought the Thai iced tea jam packed with tiny crushed ice, I did let the waitress know and she fixed the issue but I do think that this should never be served with crushed ice and should be fixed for everyone going forward. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and all the ingredients in them were very fresh and tasted great, the sauce they came with was extremely spicy. We asked our waitress for another sauce and she brought us “the sauce from calamari”. This sauce was amazing and worked really well with the spring rolls (management should consider replacing the spicy sauce the spring rolls come with for another sauce). The bathroom was out of toilet paper and I think need to be monitored more closely as paper towels were all over the floor, this needs to be checked more often and spare rolls need to be left. Overall, the food was great, few fixes needed but not a dealbreaker. The decor was lovely.

Diner Review №194

Visited with a couple of friends and had mixed feelings. Food was okay but definitely on the expensive side. Our dishes did not come with rice and had to be ordered separately.

Biggest gripe of the night was the “tomahawk” short rib. The curry flavor was delicious however there wasn’t much curry. The meat was extremely tough for something that was braised for as long as they said it was. Meat should have been fall apart but we had to cut it. Another wild fact about this dish is, it’s meant to be shared but it comes with 1 roti cut into 4 pieces.

Overall I would say skip this place, the price point is too high and nothing sticks out to make it worth visiting.

Diner Review №195

Overrated. Overpriced. With no service is the major problem.
Waited over 10 minutes to able to place an order. Restaurant was only 20% occupied at the time but waiters were ignoring us completely. No water at all, no drink until food was served. Food needs improvement but they don't seem to care. Spent around $60 for two and leaving the restaurant with emptiness. Menu and pictures online look great but very disappointing dinning experience. This is fairly new and hope they will do better.

Diner Review №196

Very creative spin on traditional food! You can taste the high quality of ingredients. Super fast and attentive service! I had scallop crudo and pad thai which were amazing!

Diner Review №197

Every dish was a delight, from the appetizers to the desserts. The presentation was also impeccable, highly recommended

Diner Review №198

The food was great. I had the pad see ew in a vegan option. They have a few menu options that are vegan and ask you if you have any allergies. The atmosphere is very nice and this a great place to come and have a drink.

Diner Review №199

Fantastic new addition to the neighborhood. Great service, great dishes.
