I've been to Thailand about 6x in my life and this place reminds me of the wonderfuI food I had visiting that amazing country. I had the Pad Thai Woon Sen. It was absolutely delicious. Loved it. Staff was very nice and the place is very clean and inviting.
I stopped by a few days later around 9pm and the were still open. This time ordered the cashew beef and it also was delicious. I will be ordering from here more often now.

The Hours posted on the door say open at 11 am. I arrived there at 1115, after ordering on line, and no one was there, came back at 12 and food was not ready. Waited another 15 minutes. And no, they were not busy. I ordered Garlic Chicken, the menu said it comes with broccoli, as the picture shows there was no broccoli. For taking over an hour and half to make, it should have tasted better. Don't know if I'll be back.

We've had several different dishes here, all is pretty good. Tom yum, one of my Thai favorites, was just ok but it wasn't until I had the Poh Tak that I completely forgot about it. It's so good, we'd love to get it more often but it's $20 which we think is more than it should be. The chicken satay is good, but again, more expensive than it's worth. We really like this restaurant, just many menu items are $3-5 more than they should be when compared to similar food

Warning: They may not be open as their hours suggest. I arrived an hour and 15 minutes before they were to close, but was told they closed in 15 minutes. Disappointing they don’t properly update their hours on Google. But, it was great food, the recipes where not like every other restaurant…lots of variations on the classics. The service was good for coming in at the end of the day. They all tried to be friendly, but we’re obviously exhausted. I felt bad for them. I think they need more servers. This is a great choice for Thai!

Extremely long wait time for a to go order.

Food is good. But unfortunately it is a chore just to get the food. Take out takes forever even when you way order in advance. I have been here about 10 times and it continues to decline. Hopefully they can get the help they need. As I would like to continue to support this business. The pad thai and pad su ee are great.

I ordered online when they opened at 11am. It said 15-20 minutes. I went to Waing Thai to pick it up and the doors were locked and nobody answered the phone. Since they use Menufy, the only way to cancel was to talk to them. I waited until 11:30 and just as I was leaving someone arrived to open the door. It’s now 12 and my order is not done yet.
Beware when ordering online. Call and make sure they are there first.

Food is decent but the service is awful. Long wait even for take out, the person at the reception won’t even say hi to you. Been here multiple times- would wait at least 30min in the lobby if not longer before anyone pays attention.

The food is good and expensive. Don't do delivery service they forget orders that you prepay along with delivery fees and they don't make it right. I will not be ordering again from this restaurant. This is the 2nd time they forgot an order. They refunded me on an order I received not the Khao Pad with beef $3 add fried egg $1.50. My refund should be $17.50.

I had a duck curry that was outstanding!!!! Great atmosphere, great service, the food was absolutely amazing!!! Appetizer’s were outstanding had dumplings and summer rolls, both were excellent! Definitely 5 star dining for 3 star prices! 10/10 recommendation

Absolutely love the food here, however, I always get NO SPICY on my pad tai and about 50% of the time I get spicy in my pad tai. I'm extremely sensitive to spicy due to having a weird tongue (geographical tongue if you really know what that means) so it's always really disappointing when it is wrong.

Husband and I just had an absolutely delicious meal here! The depth of flavor, the variety of options, just perfect! 10/10 would eat here again (and again and again)!

Ordered pad thai and fried rice from here the other night for my children and myself. The fried rice was so crunchy it was inedible. The pad thai was sour and not very flavorful. It was a real disappointment as I have ordered these dishes before with little issues. We waited over an hour for food we couldn't eat.

Picked up food here for my wife a couple times and it was okay. Picked up food for her this time and the chicken satay was cold and hard as a rock. Also took them an hour and a half to make our food.

The food was amazing. the flavors of everything was so good. it came out piping hot with full plates! Service was a little slow. the table we were sat at was also dirty with sauces and cup stains on it. other than that the food was amazing and I'll definitely be back.

I’d try it for yourself. Personally compared to other Thai I’ve had the green curry was quite bland. But the other menu items might be better.

My wife and I ate here during a trip for a friend’s wedding. We have dined at many many Thai restaurants over the years. We ordered our standard orders due to being our first time here. Mussaman Curry and Chicken Pad Thai. We waited 45 mins after ordering to receive our food and only after reminding them after 30mins. When we received our food the curry was standard tasting, and the Pad Thai had ALOT of fish sauce/oyster sauce. My wife loves salty food, but she could not eat the Pad Thai. I had a bite and agreed with her assessment. The atmosphere was good, especially for lunch time. After my wife said she could not eat the Pad Thai, we just asked for an additional bowl of rice. It was the size of an ice cream scoop, and they charged us $3 for it. This may be just a one time occurrence. However, it was very bad dining experience.

They have some the best rangoons in the city. Their waiters are kind and genuine, and it feels like a family-owned reader ain’t that’s true to its community.

Absolutely amazing food. My step mom is from Thailand, so my standards are quite high. The food tastes like her home cooking. The service was great, and they make you feel so welcome. I will be driving the hour and a half from our home to eat here again!

The food had no flavor. I am not sure about the other reviews, but I didn't enjoy it. I prefer to eat thai any day! The green cury was water. The green Thai and drinkin noodles had absolutely no flavor.

This place is cute. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive but I wasn’t very impressed with the food. The drunken noodles had no flavor. It was heavy on the noodles and vegetables but hardly any meat. Our appetizer was over cooked and chewy.

Food is ok. Depends on who’s cooking on the day and time you go. Should watch out for charges. I paid with credit card, left a 20 % tip and a few days later I looked at my credit card account online and noticed that I was charged an extra $5.00 than what I wrote on receipt. I tried to reach out to them and no one answers phones. Left a voicemail on the business phone and haven’t heard from the restaurant in 3 weeks. I will not be returning. (I didn’t have the receipt any longer as it was trashed after entering in checkbook register)

We arrived close to closing time and it seemed maybe a worker was out sick. The lady who I assume is the manager or owner was working alone serving around 10-15 customers and wow did she hustle. She managed to serve all of us with fresh food, quick service(to an extent, obviously it was just her), and remained positive the whole time. Bless her heart and work ethic, she was literally a one woman army that day.

So surprised by this place great Thai food in ND! All cooked fresh to order with alot of real Thai flavors. I would recommend this to anyone in the area

The level 4 spice is soooo nice! Ordered online for a late evening dinner, I got the spicy Thai wings and sticky rice, the lady got the pad spicy green bean with chicken, and we shared the spring rolls. The mustachioed man hooked up the Thai milk tea with boba and everything was awesome including the service at pick up.

Fairly average overall. Plenty of people seem to be raving about this place, but overall the food was bland. Special instructions for the entrees were not followed which in turn led to meat in my wife's vegetarian dish. Might have better luck dining in person.

Had the massaman curry mild and it was fantastic! I also had the Thai coffee with milk and you HAVE to try it! It’s beyond delicious!

Among the absolute best Thai food restaurants in the entire state of North Dakota. We had the hot green tea to start. For our entree we ordered the “Tom Kha Gai” and the “Tom-yum Koong.” I prefer my Thai soup very spicy and am very satisfied with the level of spicy here. Tastefulness compared to Thai restaurants in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, Utah, and Colorado. The ambiance will help you forget that you’re in North Dakota and on the East coast instead. Highly recommended for those North Dakotans looking to try something new and delicious. Thank you!

I had the mild hot Tom Yum with chicken and it was delicious. I ate every bite. I would order again but probably go a little spicier! The service was good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer and pad thai. They were both delicious and had high quality ingredients. The table service was personal and prompt. Located in a nice building with large windows that could use some sort of shades. I really enjoyed my meal here and plan to come back many times!

Excellent drunken noodle and thai iced tea. Small seating area could use shades on the windows for bright days. Good enough value.

Got the Thai coconut soup with tofu. Best I’ve ever had (yes it’s pricey but comes with a lot of food). Highly recommend this place. Always has Barbara take my order and she was really great.

If you had Baan Rao Thai Restaurant & Mini Market up in minot and now can have the same food down in Bismarck.(Same owners) Gone there last Friday. The food was GREAT! The service was great and friendly. One top of the water and food coming out at good times. I be back again for sure! So good.

Very pleasant clean establishment (no sticky tables!) and accommodating wait staff. Food is tasty and moderately priced; vegetables tasted "clean" without that nasty under-washed flavor so common in restaurants these days! Will be returning :)

I ordered to go food and ended up not being able to get it due to my employee quitting on me. I called to tell them the situation and they offered to deliver it! That kind of service is so rare to find here and I will gladly tell everyone I know to give them their business!

Nice looking establishment in a convenient north Bismarck location.

Wait times were way off and the 20-25 minutes turned into 40+ which made zero sense for how busy they were (not very), the time of evening (7:45), and the amount of staff they had on.

The Pad Thai was pretty standard fair though I prefer Yim Siam and EAT Thai which are comparable in price and consistently served in a timely fashion. The summer rolls were very disappointing as was the dipping sauce. They were lacking a lot of the flavor I’ve come to expect from eating Thai both here and around the country while traveling.

Overall if I’m going to recommend a solid place for good food it unfortunately won’t be Wiang.

Side note for people concerned about the pandemic: none of the staff were wearing masks and there was no social distancing between guest seating.

Had ordered dinner for pick up. Went in to get my order saw a bag of food right next to the register so the lady had me pay for my food and said your food isn’t ready yet. Don’t think they have a system down because the guy bringing out food had to ask which table the food was supposed to go to. I also overheard the waitress asking a table what their order was. Waited 10 minutes for nothing just to find out the bag that was sitting at the front was mine.

Overpriced and subpar. Dishes are heavy on noodles/rice and short on meat/vegetables.
Oahu and Eat Thai are leaps and bounds ahead of this place.
I can't imagine they will be around much longer if they don't lower their prices and/or make better food.

We ordered Chicken Satay and Fried Spring Rolls for our appetizers. The Chicken Satay was seriously delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. It came with a peanut sauce that rocked and a cucumber salad that was a nice palate cleanser. The Spring Rolls were good, not mind blowing, but better than I expected. For our entrees we ordered Bamee Gai (Not sure on the spelling) and Yellow Curry. Both were very good. I ordered my curry mild and it was pleasantly just that. Just a hint spice to give it variety of flavor without ever burning the tongue. My wife said she really enjoyed her Bamee Gai as well. We also ordered a Thai Tea with Bobas. Great contrast with the rest of the flavors. Over all we really liked our experience at Wiang Thai. The interior was very clean and modern. The staff were friendly and attentive. If you're looking to try something different I would definitely reccomend Wiang Thai.

Paid 42 buck for two dishes and app. The the curry was barley covering the bottom of the container and they forgot the rice. The noodle dish was a bit better. But honestly I give this place maybe a year. Call talk with Lance, he is a nice guy and tried. After living all over the country this is by far the worst Thai I have had...awful value. Not worth the time. Oh curry comes with mixed vegetables, not freaking green beans!

Food was great, the female waitress didn't give us one refill. We had to pay upfront cause she never came and took the bill. She got us our appetizers and didn't even come back for our order until 20 minutes later someone else came to take our order before she even came back.. and she was supposed to take care of our table! The guy is the one who gave us refills and we weren't even his table! She was awfully slow and we wish we could've tipped the guy instead.
