It's one of my favorite Japanese/Chinese restaurants. Food is amazingly good. The place is clean and the service is excellent. If you want to do a hibachi table, you must call and reserve. Went with 3 people, and surprisingly enough, it was less than $50.

Mushroom ..Montauk Hwy West Babylon I’ve seen reviews and trust me things have changed. Went for the first time today and Wow ! I will definitely be back . Everything we had was delicious , fresh and light ! They start you off with some fried wontons and a sweet and sour sauce along with some Tea that was so good and HOT! Perfect for this freezing cold day! We ordered the hot and sour soup . So flavorful ! Kani salad . It has mangos in it which I loved ! Also the seared tuna, 2 chef special sushi rolls , shrimp pad thai , salt and pepper shrimp , along with this little wok that came with beef chicken and shrimp ( apologies I can’t remember the exact menu name ) but the salt and pepper shrimp was my favorite ! Try this place for yourself ! Its one of my new go tos!

My wife and I love to eat dinner here. They have my favorite pork fried rice . It's not the average take out fried rice - it's good restaurant quality with peas, onions, egg, all the good stuff. We also love the sesame chicken, general tso, sweet and sour chicken, and many others. Very nice staff. More pricey than a take out place but totally worth it.

Delicious!!! This was my first time back in many years. They place is really nice, and clean. Really good service. Every dish was presented nicely. Since they do deliver, this may become our new go to place for Chinese food. Has a higher end feel, with the comfort that Chinese food gives. Enjoy!

Good food

I ordered wings and egg rolls. The wings tasted like frozen mini wings you get from the supermarkets and the pork in the egg rolls was non existent and cold, mind you we walked in and order.

This was a rare occasion & it deserves the 5 Stars. I'm fussy when it comes to dining out. But this place was great all the way around. It was quaint, it was clean, the staff was attentive plus our meals were delicious & price was unbelievable. Thank you.

Have been ordering here for at least 8 years.
In the last 2 years the food has become more and more of the usual chinese take out.

I ordered something as sinple as Pork Fried Rice it way over priced, no flavor. Just brown rice with shredded strips of pork that had and no vegetables at all.

This is not the first time either (BUT IT IS THE LAST for me and extended family and friends who also report the same thing.
Really too bad.

No flavor.
To much oil in dishes ordered.

Went with family, who are regulars here. Didn't disappoint. Has a bar, Hibachi, and Sushi. I had the 'Monster' roll, others had regular menu. All were happy !

I ordered fried ice cream and got a doughy mess on ice cream, not even fried at all!

Still going here after many years. Never have been disappointed!

Shrimp and chicken with basil has no sauce or flavor I paid $22 to eat undercooked broccoli. 3 pieces of shrimp.

Ordered from their website online. When we got there, our order was not there and the woman behind the counter took the dead iPad out and said “no power”, meanwhile, their tv’s were on, so they had power, the iPad was just not plugged in. After waiting very long for my one lunch special and one sushi roll, I went home to find out they didn’t give me the correct rice.

We have been looking for a local sit down Chinese restaurant and this place has been here all along we just never tried it . I know it’s a Chinese restaurant but the name Mushroon kinda turned us off since we both don’t like mushrooms. I read a review on FB and figured we would give it a try . To our surprise everything was great and we will definitely be back.

Located across the street from looney tunes music store west babylon in the shopping center and is a very enjoyable place and environment.. Come in for Sushi, Chinese or both.. They serve tasty traditional tea plus of course any other drinks you drink. So happy I stopped in.

I've put up the attitude and horrible customer service. I stopped getting deliveries because of the drivers attitudes. I stopped paying over the phone because of the constant issues they have saying payment didnt go through while i see the charge and money held in my account. But today, being told that i ordered my food incorrectly was the last straw. Our order is always the same, specifically theres always an order of sesame chicken. Today we got chicken tenders with sesame seeds sprinkled on and no sauce. I called, and the women i spoke with insisted that if i want it to be covered in sauce, i must ask for it that way. Despite the last 6 years of ordering this dish and never having to ask for sauce. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM MUSHROOM CHINESE & JAPANESE RESTAURANT NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

I ordered Tom Yum soup and was craving to get it. But unfortunately the soup besides shrimps had a fly🤮
I asked the server to change to different type of soup cause I was guessing it was coming from the same pot.
But server said I have to pay for both soups, which I think is ridiculous. Why I have to pay for soup which has a fly??
I guess servers overthere are poorly trained , not polite and have no idea about restaurant service. It was my first and my last time in that place. I DONT RECOMMEND!

I have eaten at the Mushroom several times with friends and family. I decided to host my daughter in law’s baby shower there since several guests are vegan & vegetarian and their party package was very reasonable compared to many other places. The shower was yesterday and I was extremely pleased with everything; the table setting, the wonderful food and the excellent service. So many of the guests were impressed and said they would definitely be back!
Thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Mushroom, we had an excellent experience and a wonderful day!

Made the mistake along with my step dad of suggesting to our family for come here for dinner. Disrespectful, condescending team members made the meal experience not worth while. Comments such as “we can’t do three separate checks for we are busy. My 89 year old step dad asked for a small hot mustard for his food and the team member said you not like to share? Then came back and said here just for you. You have your own now and walked away. We all were looking at each other is this a joke or are they just nasty. Then one of the customers dining in said loud enough to their companion “it appears no one working here smiles” I agree👍. It does seem however they do a very good take out business. Makes sense for the food is good but the service?? well I would suggest if your going order take out.

Wow great hibachi. Best fried rice. Recently at Izumi and it was just as good and better than Benihana and Shiros. Give it a try.

I’ve been to Mushroom restaurant for lunch and dinner on several occasions and it’s always a nice experience. The staff is attentive, professional, and kind… oh, and patient when I have trouble deciding what to order on their menu.

The menu is a mixture of sushi and Thai dishes and Hibachi basically something for everyone, as long as everyone in your party likes Asian food.

They would not deliver my food because I did not tip upfront. I spoke to Ubber and they stated that this Resturant has “multiple” feed backs. How you call a customer to ask them where is their tip ? First of all I’m tipping the Ubber driver not you. Good luck.

We had 6 people for a late dinner on A Friday night. The website says they are open until 11 on Friday and Saturday night they are not they close at 10 ish we sat at 9:15. We were told to order tight away but all of our party wasn't We there yet. I told them they have to change their website to reflect the right times. We were rushed thru our meals and it was terrible because we were celebrating two Birthdays. It was rude and disrespectful to the customer will not be back again although the food is very good. Its a shame!!

I've been coming here for over 5 years sometimes I sit in and eat other times I order take out, and I've never had a negative experience. I'm not understanding the negatives reviews on here, the prices are fair and the staff is always nice and friendly. The food to me always tastes amazing and the employees know me by first name. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

We just had the worst lunch ever . The general tso was filled with water , the egg role was dripping in oil and was hard as a rock all the utensils were covered in soy sauce . No meat in the wonton . this was really expensive too. I wish I could post pictures

Food is great. They get a 2 star review because there rude and every time I have delivery which is always minimum 80$ order they give 2 soy sauce packets. Please for the amount your charging stop being so cheap!!!!

Waiter brings back our cards and bills with the TIP / TOTAL amount filled out with a predisposed tip.

( we both had a roll of sushi & a hibachi meal & didn’t sit for any longer than we needed to.)

my friend and I had just came from a funeral ( young 20’s) , we looked nowhere close to someone who didn’t plan on going out , nor were we dressed poorly. I honestly was planning on giving a higher tip than predisposed (9$ on mine, 7$ on hers), but since the “ hard work “ was done for me - I left it signed and walked away.

I would have liked to return but , I’ll pass - plenty of other places around. I’ll never understand why my receipt was filled out as if I was incompetent , but I won’t subject myself to that twice.

Don’t be weird , let patrons choose as they please - it might surprise you.

Extremely rude takeout staff, I called once in the past to order and they were rude thought maybe bad day, this time around same thing, extremely rude. I’ll never order here again.

First time customer and it was just disappointing. They lack satisfactory customer service, servers were unorganized and wait time for everything was too long. Food was not terrible but not great either. Tbh, we were even reminiscing our past food dates in Queens. I don't think I'm ever coming back here.

Haven't been here because of covid went back today. My husband got the shrimp with lobster sauce that he has eaten for 50 years. This was bland an the shrimp were in a watered down broth. The duck sauce they definitely again watered down so it had absolutely no taste. I got the Godzilla Sushi role. The rice was cold. It did not have that usual warmth to it. It was pre-made then they just put the eel on top. Not going back ever!

The wonton soup, egg rolls and chicken cutlet are really good and the show in the back. 😀

I get times are rough and food prices are high but today I was charged close to $10 extra to add peanuts to 2 avocado rolls. Insane. I should have not ordered but I was hungry with very little time. Food was mediocre and not worth that kind of upcharge. With many options for places to eat, I will not return.

The food here is A1. Always fresh & restaurant very clean with great service, however the woman who answers the phone when you call to place an order, her attitude and demeanor is the absolute worst. If you did not eat here and know how Good the food is, her attitude would turn you off immediately & you would never give this place a chance.

We’ve been to Mushroom multiple times and the food is fine but unfortunately their hours are very unreliable.

For the second time in a row, they’ve asked us to please pick up the food we ordered more than a half hour before they close. If your business closes at 10, you should close at 10 and allow customers to pickup their food anytime before 10.

Got there at 1130 the place was dirty from last night the workers where not there we had to wait 30 mins for being seated the food was good

This USED to be a great restaraunt. Ordered through UBEREATS, but their own staff deliver. Delivery guy was rude and demanding a cash tip.
They delivered the wrong food, then redelivered cold food that was atrocious, while also redelivering the food they mistaken ly delivered to me. It was completely inedible. Nothing like it used to be.
Called the restaurant to complain and was told I could get one dinner credit. $50.00 wasted... Never again.

Took my family here New Year's Eve..had a 6pm reservation didn't get seated until 630..our waiter was rude to my family, took entrees before drinks and told my father if he wanted something off the regular menu ( which they did for him the last time we were there ) there would be "a problem" ...we were in the hibachi section.. waiting forever he finally came back to our table.. took one drink order from my wife .and
walked away without getting the rest of our party of 9...my father proceeds to get up and walks to the front sushi bar and gets himself a beer...( I already got my hand on my head as I just want everyone to have a good experience )..but this waiter is just so rude with the way he handled us was so poor that I cant defend him..and I know it's new year's so trying to give some understanding of business ect...but as the table across from us fills in he starts doing the same thing to them ...then the inexplicable happens...the chef finally comes and says "two chefs for the price of one" and they drag some other guy out of the back and he's obviously not a hibachi table chef as he's wearing all white since he usually stays in the back,..and they dump everybodies rice on our table top and cook all the protein on the other family's table top and bang out both tables at once...the portions were were obviously smaller then usual and the two of them were serving food off plates instead of directly off the hotplate (to see this was a real s***show believe me)..meanwhile the two rolls that me and my father-in-law order never come so he gets up to complain and proceeds to cancel my roll too! Lol (somebody help me! - honestly they should've came out before entrees tho ! ) And there was no show like they usually do and they were obviously rushing us out...when the guy served me my potion of vegetables, it consisted of almost all carrots and one piece of broccoli...it really was terrible and not what I'm used to at this spot..I feel even worse for my parents who got filet and lobster and got 6 squiggly pieces of tail each with less steak then I've ever seen them deliver because they were spreading two tables worth of food everywhere...and the kids steak was tough because I was still hungry and started picking off their plates and they ordered a regular hibachi steak to split...totally unacceptable and unprofessional...sorry ...this is why you make reservations..and especially on a holiday you try and bring your a game...my wife and I ate a bowl of cereal later that night ...still upset a week later ...never write these things but just had to share a horrible night out..

Beware of this place. My husband and I ate here Friday night and my husband got food poisoning. He’s been sick since Saturday morning! He had hibachi Chicken and shrimp. I had the steak and I was fine.

The waiter seems to take everything personal. He actually asked me to step aside from our family dinner to discuss me not liking the poorly crafted cocktail that tasted like kool-aid without the sugar. Meal was good so I'll still give them 2 stars.

After hearing such great things about this restaurant, we decided to try it. Very disappointing. The spare ribs had no flavor. The lo mein was oily. The wontons were pasty. Even the Chinese noodles were greasy. And finally, the young chow fried rice had no flavor to it. Would not go back there.

One waiter was very mean and had an attitude with us when he took our orders. Owner does not even wanna hear the customer, sided with the rude employee. Customers should stay away from this restaurant.

Was here once a few years ago. My father ate here once many years earlier and raved about their Pesto Chicken so the two of us went for dinner and we both ordered the same dish. Sad to say, neither of us tasted much pesto in our dinners. The quality of the food was good but also pretty tasteless. I wish I could give this restaurant a better review but that would have to wait for the next time I visit. Sorry.
