You can definitely tell you walked into thai restaurant when you walk in, i think it's a family business but they are so friendly.
We enjoyed our food, I had the food to go before because it was during the covid times but I haven't been able to dine in til now.
Food was pretty good, being in Del Rio, I don't expect amazing.
I am giving 4 stars for what I expect at a small town like here, while I think it would be 3 star at bigger cities.

Super poor customer service and he is so rude but of course him and his family have always been like that. Today me and my sister had the worst experience ever. The little short guy that works I believe the son and Crusty were the best example of Del Rio’s worst customer service. Shorty said can you move so the people behind can get their order. Well I’m glad they are closing their business.

Dining room only open to 5pm. Drive thru until 8pm. We didn't know and tried to stop in for dinner. The lady at the window was very helpful and we got take out instead. Food was yummy and a good change of pace from bar and grill food. Pad Thai was particularly good with a good spice. Excellent all around! Would recommend!

The best Asian cuisine in Del Rio. Not too busy, and the food was DELICIOUS. I ordered the fried dumplings as an appetizer and that alone was incredible. Pad See Ew is pictured below and everything tasted so fresh and wonderful. The picture was taken after I'd already eaten half of my plate so the portions are great. This is definitely a place I'll be frequenting for the rest of my time here.

Poor customer service. The menu didn't specify peanut ingredient in the house dressing and waiter did not know either and offered no remedy for our concerns. Our son had an allergic reaction. The cook/owner became defensive and told us to leave.

Not a buffet as a thought, more like panda express food style. 10 bucks for an entree, 2 sides, crabRangoon, spring roll, soup, donuts. Not great quality of food

I came in today with my family and I had the worst experience ever. The service was bad. The inside was so quiet, over priced on everything. The waiter was rude.

Fantastic Food and Service

I ordered egg noodle soup and the noodles tasted and were of the same consistency as a cup off noodles. The broth was also not tasty.

A friend and I came in to Jitra type food restaurant for lunch in Del Río Texas. My family is from Del Rio. However, I have not been here in quite some time. This place was pretty amazing. I never thought the Dell Rio Texas would have such good Thai food not to mention the amazing service the owner/Cook named Jitra, is also the cook. Her cooking is absolutely scrumptious. Maribel our service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. The owner son Jay even came out to introduce himself and chat with us for a little while not many places that you go to that person with the customers. I will definitely be back and I definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Thai food. One more thing to note is most places in del Rio, Texas to eat are closed on Sundays but not this place !!!

Ordered the dinner sesame chicken. First time here... the chicken was so dry and chewy. It reminded me of jerky. The sauce also didn't taste like traditional sesame chicken. Not worth the $16.

Since when do they add peanuts in the spicy chicken soup?! I bit into one and got grossed out because I didn't know what it was, as I've never bitten into anything hard when eating this soup. It is not good at all. Also, if this is a new thing, I hope it states on the menu because many people have peanut allergies.

The Tom Yum soup and Green Curry was delicious. I recommend the menu over the buffet. Just note serving size is large in case you like to order multiple dishes. Nice to have the culinary diversity in Del Rio.

First timer here. Poor customer service and food aren't good for Asian standards. I came in ALONE and followed the instructions painted on the ground “Please wait here to be seated”. I saw there were many empty tables for groups and singles. I stood there for a good 10 mins, and there were a bunch of servers walked past by me multiple times within that 10 mins. They glanced at me and kept moving. I don't mind that they're busy but shouldn’t at least have someone in charge of seating customers? I was on a time limit and had to get back to work so I asked a random server “do I wait here to be seated?”, she looked confused af. Another server came by pointed at a table for single person. I sat down and waited another good 5 mins. Then a server stopped by and asked me what want to drink. I sat there another good 5 mins waiting for a menu. A server stopped by “do you want to order from the menu? Or get in line.” In my head was like “mf... The painted instruction on the ground for that line was for to go and dine-in?!?”...... I waited in line again to get food. I hoped the food better be good for that waiting, man, I was wrong. Veggie, too salty. Chicken tastes like wet KFC. wonton soup, the soup taste like water with oil, and the wonton is tasteless. The lo mein was too much oil which made me wanna throw up, and destroyed my appetite. I didn’t finished it. I paid $10.77 , no tip, because i don’t think the restaurant deserve it.

Food is good price is to high

They literally use the same noodles on everything, but charge you for dishes as if they were prepared differently. Pad Kee Mao should use flat rice noodles, but not at Jitra, they just use the same fideo with no flavor. I'm done with this place.

I would not recommend this place. Lacking in customer service and food.

Got the basil fried rice with tofu. I have had Thai food before and this was more like Chinese food. I could see clumps of white rice in my food. It was very greasy so it gave me heartburn. Won't try again.

The service I received was unacceptable. I phoned in an order that wasn’t ready until 30 min after I arrived. My order was not what I ask for.I was served dried up old chicken strips A hand full of rice and a bag of teriyaki sauce pored from a bottle into the bag over the styrofoam container of food. I don’t know if this was deliberate or if it was just not giving a sh-t how you treat people. By the way I was not going to attempt to eat any of it. I threw it in the trash. My first experience with Jitra of Del Rio, Tx and my last. Plain in simple stay a way if you are not Hispanic. How ironic .

The food is JUST okay, and the environment is very quiet.

I can to this resturant as my firsttimefor lunch. My customers order food from this resturant all the time. I walked in an waited to be seated another family walked in so I moved to the side to make room the waitress seated the other family and looked at me like whatever...and walked off.. I was the only African American in the resturant I spoke with the owner he apologized the food was great it's the waitress bring a bad name for a good and busy resturant.

Me and my fiance were treated very unfairly at jitra we had come in before other customers and they ended up getting served before we do they took 10 minutes to get to our drinks and by that time they had already got the soup to the other people so and this is happened on multiple occasions so I probably will not go back

Overall good food especially for the Del Rio area. They have a lunch buffet that is ONLY $8 and had lots of good choices. My husband really likes their curry although they do put jalepanos in it?! If you're looking for something not Mexican this is the place to go.

A favorite location for thai food. Entered near ten, it was not crowded. I will be back with my relatives. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I liked.

I looked this restaurant up online. It had a 5-star rating (134 ratings). My wife & I thought it fell shy of that. We had the buffet. It was okay, but nothing to shout about. We had trouble getting silverware. We talked to another customer who eats there twice a week. He said they're usually really good but occasionally fall short. We must have been there on their fall-short day.

i stopped in for dinner on the way out of town.
the menu was predominantly 'chinese', i would assume the buffet is the same way.
with that being said, my pad grapow "basil beef" was flavorful and quite good. pleasantly, they are very accurate with their heat index when you specify.
the service was pleasant, down home and attentive.
it was a good experience, with good food. just wish they had more Thai options on their menu.
