Indochine offers call ahead seating for parties of 8 or more. Reservations not accepted
Great food, experience, and atmosphere! The moment you walk in, you can smell the delicious smells and know you’re going to be happy when you leave. We had the dumpling sampler which came with many different kinds and was delicious. Entree sizes are so big here, easily shareable between 2 maybe even 3 people so you’re getting a lot for your money. We didn’t have dessert but will be back to try some! Plenty of parking available here, online said no reservations so be aware of that and know you’ll be waiting. We can’t wait to come back and bring family/friends!
We went for dinner tonight, based on suggestion of a few of our coworkers. They had an opportunity to go there a week or two ago and raved on the food. We weren’t disappointed, the flavors were very complex, but balanced, and everything was delicious.
We started with appetizers, the crab Rangoon and the calamari. The crab Rangoon was a little bit plain, but good and the calamari was excellent. It came with two sauces one that was a sweet-and-sour and the other one that was a slightly spicy marinara type sauce.
For dinner, the portions were, significantly generous which allowed us to share and try different things. My favorite two were the jungle curry and the chicken with basil. Each of them had a little bit of heat, the basil chicken more so.
I saw them caring dessert by and it looked delicious, but there was no way I had any room left.
Indochine was a major destination on my family’s trip to Wilmington. It was definitely interesting.
Be prepared for a line and long wait, especially on the weekend. They get through the line and wait as quickly as possible, but there are lots of people also trying to dine in.
The food was alright. I definitely expected it to be magical the way people talk about it, but I would describe it as pretty average. They do not make good alcoholic drinks though. My Crown Princess tasted like straight Crown Royal and the water of my melted ice, so it tasted like drinking a shot the entire drink. Ew.
Definitely try to avoid sitting in the offshoot seating area that looks like a weird later addition. The aesthetic and atmosphere was not what we were hoping for, but we think it was because we were shoved off outside of the main dining area.
The customer service was extremely good, but the building is so busy that they should probably have double the wait staff. Our waitress seemed like she forgot about our alcoholic drinks until we mentioned we no longer needed them.
If I could give a**10 I definitely would. Upon arrival, I knew we were in for a special treat. I could smell the love in the food from my car window! Entering the restaurant the decor from outside to inside was amazingly done. We were greeted and put on a slight wait which we decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. The bartender... Top Notch, our drinks were on point. I actually sat next to one of the owners, which she was inviting and a pleasure to speak with. My wife and I felt welcome. Our server was on top of it we didn't want for anything, the portions were plentiful and the ambiance was unforgettable. We will always be back!!!
Unbelievably great. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The service was nice, and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The menu was big but not overwhelming, and the server gave great recommendations. This place has a great reputation, and it's deserved. Prices were extrenely fair. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.
Incredible experience at Indochine! The staff was so friendly and attentive. The wait was originally 1 hour 15 minutes, it turned out to be around 45 minutes, enough time to grab a drink or 2 at the bar. The food was beyond this world, so yammi and I will definitely be back! We had summer roles, the jungle curry and the green curry! We had tofu and chicken with our curries but probably could have done without any protein since the sauces are so delicious without anything else. We will be back to enjoy the ambiance outside during warm weather! But inside’s decoration was amazing too, it felt very cozy and homey.
This place is very pretty and would be amazing in the summer... very packed ,very loud but.. our waitress was amazing.
Hadn't gone in a while. Menu very limited. Prices high as usual. Quality and service very different than my visit last October. Very crowded as usual. Disappointing.

Food was exceptional, fresh, and portions were generous. One of the best Thai food restaurants I have experienced. Our server was very professional and had great recommendations. The ambiance is vibrant. Highly recommend Indochine!
Amazing place in Wilmington, feels like you are somewhere in the South Pacific with the decorations and landscaping. Food was incredible and service was excellent. If it’s your first time, definitely try the appetizer sampler.
Wonderful ambience, delicious food! Great service!!!
Food has always been consistently delicious for us, Service on power with the food, we believe you can point to practically anything on the menu and it will be outstanding, they also serve you plenty of food for the price. Interesting atmosphere as well especially if you eat outside. It’s like a little Asian garden paradise surrounded by lots of city activity. Don’t miss this one if you’re in town. It is typically busy so there is usually a wait, especially if you want to eat outside.
My wife and a friend of hers had lunch at your restaurant on 06 FEB. The food was great as always, however when they finished eating, their server, Shane repeatedly returned to their table, asking them if they "needed" anything else..They continued to visit and he then informed my wife they would have to leave their table and go to the bar if they wished to stay at the restaurant. This experience has left my wife with an unfavorable impression of your restaurant and I suggest you speak with your staff as it pertains to the "experience" your customers expect and deserve.
Always a great place for lunch or dinner. The service and food are always amazing. And the grounds are nice to relax in before or after your meal.
This restaurant was SO unique and beautiful! I wasn’t sure if I liked this style of food so I got the appetizer sampler, the dumpling sampler (I do love dumplings), and the sticky rice dessert. I was pleasantly surprised with new delicious flavors! I’m so glad I visited this spot and cannot wait to go again!
Visiting on Saturday Night and completely enjoyed the restaurant. Food was delicious and service was great. Unfortunately when I went to the men’s room it was a different experience. The floors were soaked with urine. I brought it to the attention of the concierge and she replied with with yeah we know and did nothing.
Love, love, love! I've been going here for 10 years and it is consistently a great experience.
What an experience! I felt like I was in another country. The portions are huge so maybe split a plate;* For the best experience go when the weather is nice and sit al fresco in their garden area♡
We had a wonderful meal here at indochine. The food was delicious, the waitress and atmosphere was great!!!
First time eating at the bar. Service was excellent, food came out super quick and as always was made to perfection. Tried a mocktail (Laotian lychee drink) - so delicious!
Food was good, but not my favorite place to go

This place is always great & when it is warm it's worth waiting before they open to sit outside! The food is soooooooo good!!!
Always good. Spicy and fresh. Love the decor. Service was a teeny bit slow. I think she was new, so the entree wasn't as piping hot as usual. Why don't they serve the entrees covered like back in the day? All in all, it's still very good!
Natasha was an amazing server! Very kind, super sweet and had some great food recommendations! I enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps and the Tom Gha Gai soup is a must when we come here! Loved our food and our service!
What a wonderful and magical place. After lunch the whole family stayed and chatted in the back by the koi pond for over an hour. Everything I've eaten here has been exquisite.

Had the most wonderful time at Indochine. My first experience was made even more amazing because of the great service from Chad!
Always love Indochine!
Tutto meraviglioso . Cibo eccellente . Il ristorante tailandese più buono che esiste al mondo .
We love this place. I got the imperial pineapple rice, a dish I never had before. It was amazing! I would order it again in a heartbeat! My husband got the salmon, which was also delicious. Our server was very attentive as well, even though he just sat a table of six!
We saw Indochine featured on the North Carolina Weekend program and it lived up to the rave review. The atmosphere was over the top, especially the outdoor garden area. Even though it was too cold to eat outside, we still walked around to check everything out. The food was fresh and delectable. And the portions were substantial. Over the course of our 4 day trip, Indochine ranked #1 on our list for best meal overall. There were four adults and one child in our party. Their hot and sour soup is the best we’ve ever had.
Excellent variety and very flavorful food. Large portions.
Food is good I will say over time portion size with meat is getting less and less
always excellent customer service no issues there
Excellent! Food.

after living in wilmington for 10 years i finally got to try indochine! the food was incredible and the setting was beautiful, but i did have one critique. the wait time we were told is not the wait time we waited.
we arrived and were told it would be about 45-60 mins, we decided to wait since it was fairly early and we saw people coming in and out quickly. we received a text, with that text a link that gives you a wait timer. once the 45 minutes had passed and the wait timer was at 0 mins, we were anticipating a text message saying our table was ready. another 10 mins go by and we didn’t get one. i went inside, they said it would be another 10 mins and that we were still 4th in line. at this point were were a little frustrated, but we’re seated shortly after.
moving into better things, the food was amazing. some of the best food i think ive had! our server was lovely as well. i definitely recommend the appetizer sampler so you can try more than one thing! the prices are also very reasonable for how much food you get and how fast.
overall we had a good dining experience but for a restaurant that is so high demand, you’ve think an expansion would’ve already taken place to offer more seating. we will be back in the future though!
Shane was our server and did a fantastic job job ! We had Great Food ! I had the Birds Nest with chicken , steak, mushrooms & veggies , my other guest had green curry, Basil chicken and chicken
Yum yum ! Excellent even took some home a lot
Recently had Christmas dinner at Indochine and it was a wonderful experience! We arrived when they opened at 5pm and there was a line outside to put our names down. We were told it would be a little over an hour to wait but we were fine with that as the bar and outside area were open with space heaters to seat by and wait.
We were texted exactly an hour later to be seated and our waitress, Shaylee, was awesome! She was very attentive and patient with us as we were chatting a lot and took a little bit longer to order. Once we did, our food came out perfectly, hot, and delicious. We ordered a few appetizers, red curry, pad see ew, and pad thai - all of which were amazing. So grateful to the staff for working their butts off on a holiday and for making our Christmas magical!
Great lunch specials great staff
We had an exceptional date night here! The Thai food was outstanding, with amazing flavors that exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. The restaurant itself was clean. We also enjoyed the pretty decorations and the walk through the garden. Every aspect of our evening was truly impressive!"
Unbelievably great. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The service was nice, and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The menu was big but not overwhelming, and the server gave great recommendations. This place has a great reputation, and it's deserved. Prices were extrenely fair. For my birthday, I've wanted to come to the restaurant. Their salmon with curry sauce, rice and veggies was delicious. I really loved the wonton chicken noodles soup. The gentleman who took care of me was warm and hospitable. Thank you!
Amazing food and ambiance! Love to sit outside!
Love the atmosphere, very cozy. The broth from the Pho shop can stand to be a tad bit flavorful. The appetizers were exceptional. I had calamari fried golden to perfection!
A Beautiful garden in back . Lots to see here and there is seating in the garden area. Staff is friendly and the food was great . Lots of Vegan choices . Very relaxing atmosphere .
This place is outstanding! And when you go, you must walk through the gardens in back-- it is as if you have been transported to Asia. Beautiful! If you get there early enough you may be lucky enough to snag one of the hut tables nestled in the garden.
The atmosphere is really great. The staff are friendly, considerate, and attentive. They offer mixed drinks and a decent mocktail menu for lunch.
I hesitate to speak on the food, as I only had one meal. I had a "nest", and although it started off bland, the flavors grew as the meal progressed and their subtleties revealed themselves. I would love to come back, and based on the customers, I think they have curbed some authentic heat and spice for milder palates.
I thought it was very wise of them to design their seating how they did. There really isn't a bad seat in the place, as they have made the service point to and from the kitchen as a part of the hallway to seat customers, instead of forcing a table too close to facilities. Well done.
Amazing everything, every time!
Best Thai food I've ever had and service was excellent. Our server Ava was helpful with suggestions since it was our first time and she was so polite, our food was out quick and hot. We will definitely be back when we are back in Wilmington area.
This place was so amazing! When my friend accidentally walked out without her leftovers, we went back in to get them. The bus girl had already thrown them away so we asked if there was any way we could get a partial refund or something because it was almost a whole meal leftover. The restaurant was so kind and remade her whole meal for us for free and did it in less than 10 minutes! We will 100% come back!!!! Thank you guys for being amazing!
Best Thai food in Wilmington! In addition to the food, I love their outdoor spaces. On my last visit I had the joy of chatting with a fellow customer who had traveled in from Charlotte just to eat here, a trip she makes as often as she can! That says something about the food, service and atmosphere!
Food and service was superb! The appetizer sampler was great. The sauces made it out of this world. Our meals were delicious and beautiful.
This place is AMAZING! Listen to the reviews- Large portions, comfortable atmosphere and very friendly service. I can't wait to come back to Wilmington, so I can stop by again.
First time, big portions , absolutely delicious.
Beautiful- like a trip to Asia without the a$rfare or jet lag! The food and drinks— fresh, full of herbs, delightful to the palette! Recommend an outside table, if possible. Cheers!
I loved this place. It had a very cool design, and you could tell that a lot of love and passion went into its decoration. The food was very tasty too. I had the red curry, and my fiancee had the pepper steak. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. It was pricey, but worth the experience.
Restaurant Review: Indochine in Wilmington, NC
If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Wilmington, NC, Indochine is a must-visit. This Thai restaurant masterfully combines a vibrant atmosphere, impeccable service, and extraordinary cuisine.
From the moment you walk in, the ambiance transports you to a serene oasis, complete with intricate decor and lush surroundings. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience.
The food is simply phenomenal. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and fresh ingredients.
What truly sets Indochine apart is the service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making you feel valued from start to finish. They’re happy to accommodate dietary preferences and provide thoughtful recommendations.
Whether you're on a date night, celebrating with friends, or just craving an exceptional meal, Indochine delivers. Don’t forget to explore their outdoor garden seating—it’s an enchanting spot that adds to the charm of the dining experience.
In short, Indochine is a gem in Wilmington. Delicious food, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable atmosphere—it doesn’t get much better than this. Highly recommended!
Spicy! Delicious and lots of plant based and gluten free options
The host was super rude. blonde girl. Will not be coming back
Tonight was our first visit. Lovely garden in the back of the restaurant, great service, mid food. Ordered the appetizer sampler and an entree with chicken satay, and both times the chicken was raw. The rest of the sampler was d good. Meat for our vegetable wraps was dry. My family didn't bother complaining, we just packed our leftovers, paid the bill, and tipped our lovely waitress.
The food is great but take out service is the worst I been told twice 30-40 mins but have waited more than 1 hour they should say that from the get go it’s gonna take about a hour or more other than that food is awesome
Love this restaurant.
Awesome meal, great service, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend dinner at Indochine!
Great restaurant great service and the food was absolutely amazing
What a fun restaurant experience! We got here a few minutes before opening and when a line quickly formed behind us, we wondered what could be in store for us. What was in store was incredibly fun atmosphere (we were seated in our own private Pagoda surrounded by gardens and lovely decor), delicious inventive cocktails, and wonderful food. Our server, Eva, was so attentive and on point, she really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and complete the experience!
Update Nov 2024: took my other half here and this time we sat outside in one of the huts. Added more pictures. Ordered the roast duck red curry again and for appetizers, their coconut shrimp and crab angels. Still treat choice.
It's worth the 30 - 45 min wait. Have a purple dragonfruit cocktail at the bar while waiting. Came here with a bunch of gfs after a friend posted some appetizing apps while in town and I'm glad we did.
We ordered the appetizer sampler which could easily feed 3 people. I ordered their imperial roasted duck curry because the description said it has lychees. Never had that before in other Thai places I'd been and it was delicious. The curry sauce has that hint of heat and sweetness and the flavors blended well. They didn't skimp on the duck either.
Will definitely come back again.
Stellar atmosphere with very friendly service. The food was first class from appetizers to deserts.
Great food and great service.
Good food good vibes
Absolutely delicious!!!
Beautiful restaurant inside and outside. Plenty of seating outside with a Koi pond and many other things to see. Service is awesome here
Staff is courteous and friendly and helpful. Our waitress was fantastic! Lots to choose from and ask your waitress for recommendations. Restaurant is clean through out and the bathroom is clean and stocked up. Food comes out quickly and everything we had was scrumptious! All entrees are huge and you will be taking a lot home. The restaurant is decorated beautifully through out and outside. Plenty of seating available outside for you in a beautiful day. I look forward to my next visit here.
If you don't mind waiting for the outside or..."hut seating" do it. Very neat expirence. Food is great and atmosphere will take you away
Beautiful restaurant. Dined outside, loved it! Food was delicious.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere! The khao xoi was to die for.
Yellow curry, lettuce wraps and more! Delicious!
I have never seen anything like this. We were told to get there a 5 pm as it fills up fast. We arrived at 5 minutes till 5 and there was a huge line! Amazing! We had to wait about 45 minutes after entry to be seated, we could have ate at the bar, but we were willing to wait to get the full experience. It is ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. The food was incredible as was the service. I would highly recommend this place and this was Saturday night, so not sure if this busy every night, but get there around 4:30 ish if you want a chance at immediate seating, otherwise, have a seat at the bar or rest in the beautiful outdoor garden area.
Love this place. Every dish is tasty. I had the singapore noodles, yummy.
Boy oh boy do I love their shrimp fried rice it be banging! Services right on time all the time.
Fantastic food!!
One of the best Thai foods I've had in NC. Place was packed but the service was still excellent.
I came for the experience and got put in the express dining area that has no ambiance compared to the rest of the place. If I wanted express dining I would’ve gone to Indochine express. I came for the experience. I didn’t enjoy the food. Didn’t get much for drink refills or service. Felt like we were tossed to the side. Was like 7pm on a Friday. This place gets built up to be so much more than I experienced, I wouldn’t recommend to a friend. Maybe it’s because we didn’t dress like an influencer/Instagramer?
One of the best restaurants ever.
Great food great atmosphere highly recommend
you cannot go wrong with anything you order! my favorite vegetarian options are: pad thai w/tofu, yellow curry w/tofu or ayudhya eggplant! everything is the most savory and delicious. i have eaten in house a few times and always had a nice experience, but their takeout is often a quicker option and equally as delicious! ally is so sweet to call and place your order with! and their team is always accommodating and kind!
The portions are massive, without a doubt, the best thing. Definitely recommend dining in due to how unique the atmosphere is, all the Knick knacks and collectibles looks as if they are randomly put into place but when you step back, everything is perfectly placed and provides an endless amount of views. The overall property is huge and you can wonder around for a while and always find a new spot, definitely a cool feature. The biggest downside is the wait, it always takes a while for a table but that’s because it so good, so everyone comes. Food is also super good but cannot say it’s the absolute best Thai food I have ever had but the portion size combat that. The green curry and coconut cake desert were an absolute show stopper and must try.
Food Delicious very big portions! Staff Wonderful! Garden Beautiful!
Birthday Celebration was fantastic authentic Thai Food is Fantastic....
Upon arrival the parking lot was full and the atmosphere seemed pretty nice so no complaints in that department. It was a 40 minute wait to eat outside so we dined in the building. Our server was friendly but after we got our food we only saw her one time to get us more water. I waved her down for the check but it was busy so I won't harp too much there. The food was average at best, definitely not as good as it is hyped up to be by the locals. I went to eat lunch at a chain restaurant earlier that was completely empty and the chain's curry was better than Indochine. I got the duck that was mentioned by our server to another table to be good. The combination of spicy and pineapple was not a good mix, the bowl was packed with what looked to be canned pineapple. My wife said her food was only okay as well and she's been to Thailand so I think she would know what Thai food should taste like. There are better places eat in the area, with better tasting food. Might not look as fancy but I could care less about atmosphere, I just want good food.
Absolutely amazing! Got the Hokkien Hot Noodles at the recommendation of our server and may be the best Thai food I've ever had! The service was incredibly friendly and the food and drinks came very quickly for how busy they were!
In love with this place….from the food to the atmosphere. ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely amazing food, service, and atmosphere(at least outside was, didn’t sit inside). The wait staff was excellent.
The food was amazing, and portions were HUGE.
If you go(as you should) prepare to take some home, or go with someone you can share a main course dish with.
They also have several different and amazing drinks, on the “adult menu”, if you’re so inclined!
Two stars for the appetizer sampler and how beautiful the restaraunt is. Sadly, that is all this place has going for it. Both entrees were so bland; the noodles tasted like noodles, the chicken tasted like chicken, the shrimp tasted like shrimp, etc.. it's like they only gave it enough sauce to give it color. And it's a shame, since we had to wait 25 minutes for a table, and this place isn't exactly cheap.
Great food, portions were large. Service was exceptional although we waited 45 minutes for food....we did go at the busiest time and had a large group. But would absolutely go again.
Indochine is a popular destination restaurant for a very good reason. The atmosphere is enchanting, and the service is excellent.
This was our first time here and it certainly won't be our last! The food was fantastic and plentiful. The atmosphere in the restaurant and outside while you were waiting was beautiful. Our server was really terrific, kept checking back on us, apologizing for the delay (which was minimal) And the prices on the menu are just perfect. I lost my scarf at the restaurant and called them to ask them to look for it and hold it for me. The next day I got the message that they had it found it. What a great place!
What a great atmosphere! We got there at 4:30 in order to secure seating in the back garden. It was beautiful! The food was all delicious. I wouldn’t say it was the best food I’ve ever had, but the atmosphere certainly elevated the entire experience. We had some bee, fly, and mosquito problems, so if that really bothers you, I would just be aware! The portions were huge! 4/6 of us got to go boxes afterwards. All in all, a great experience!
The food has gone down hill. There is no consistency. The last few times I have been here it has been lacking flavor less I make it hot or put the hot sauce on it. Honestly, I request for it to be hot and it comes out with no spice. I placed a pick up order tonight and requested it to be hot with tofu and shrimp. I only got shrimp, it had no spice, and lacked flavor. My boyfriend ordered the pad ki mao and he barley got any shrimp and the noodles were dry.
Long waiting times and ok food that over priced. Atmosphere is amazing and that’s what you’re paying for really.
The staff was very polite. The food was slightly rushed for the mango pineapple chicken. Taste like they added dole pineapples to dish, and they didn't cook the veggies at all before adding in everything else. For the drunken noodles, it didn't have any seasoning. I remember having it spicy, and here everything tastes bland and not fresh. I wasn't too pleased, I thought it was authentic, but I had others that were. This food is rushed and not very great for $64. Portion sizes were nice, but I had the same portions at another Thai restaurant. Very dissatisfied with the taste.
Absolutely loved our first experience here. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food delicious. The portion sizes are huge so two people can share one entree if you’re not a huge eater. My husband ordered sweet and sour and it could have fed three people! Will definitely be back and highly recommend it.
A wonderful meal well prepared and good service. All of our meals were well flavored and beautifully presented. The restaurant is a wonder of design and true to its origins. It does need updating and detailed upkeep.
Just visiting Wilmington and decided to go check it out, we got there 10 minutes after opening (for the dinner session) and there was a huge line waiting to get in.. I was thinking no food is that good that it’s worth waiting so long for.. but boy am I glad I did! Amazing tastes from everything we tried. Then we went to check out the ‘garden’. This might be one of best restaurants I’ve ever been to!
The food was AMAZING ! The atmosphere was such a cool vibe. Felt like stepping into another country. We absolutely loved the garden in back. We had to wait to get a table but time flew by as we sipped delicious cocktails and enjoyed walking through , what felt like a legit Japanese garden . I will say - be prepared to wait for a table and get there early . But totally worth it .
The food was AMAZING! The atmosphere is top notch. I would recommend sitting outside in one of the huts. Now, most people are complaining about the wait time. We went in during the lunch hr. and they told us a half hr. They were on point with the time. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!
Sometimes the internet over hypes some places and this is one of them. Im not gonna deny that the effort put into the visual of this restaurant is stunning and pleasant however they should had put the same effort into the food. The food is not authentic and as you step in there, they are obvious hints this is an Americanized gimmick of an Thai restaurant. This is basic average U.S Foods truck delivery spot that just gets splashed with thai flavors and call it a day. Service is ok . Better to those hole in wall places than this one. This place is better off as an venue than a restaurant.
There is a reason this is the #1 restaurant in Wilmington! Excellent food and superb ambiance. Yellow Curry is my favorite and the Thai tea is excellent! Lunch is very fresh and affordable. Make sure you arrive EARLY (like 4:30ish) if you want a dinner table without a long wait, but there is an awesome garden while you wait. Come early especially in the summer with tourist season. You will still have to stand in line outside the restaurant before 5pm, but it’s worth it. This is a must visit restaurant in Wilmington! Huge dinner portions too
Awesome environment! Food was spectacular with amazing service! Will be a return customer to try more menu items!!
The coolest place in the area! The Thai food is delish and their cocktails are sooooooo good! You can never get enough of the atmosphere here. Its EVERYTHING! Prices are great as well. Definitely worth putting on your "eat here" list.
Love, love, love this place. What a hidden gem! I never would have found this without my local friend who lives hereby. Words cannot describe how simply lovely the entire experience was, food, service and atmosphere 11 out of 10!!
We have been here many times for sushi . It was the best sushi in town ,they no longer serve sushi . So we settled for Thai food , The food was dry with no flavor . The servers were all exhausted and it showed in their attitude and service . Our server did not get our order right and when we mentioned it he did not try to fix it . We spend almost $100. one of our usual orders is to take home the coconut cake which comes with ice cream .. we get home , there was no ice cream . Sad ending to what I thought would be a great night at our favorite restaurant.
I had an exceptional dining experience at Indochine. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was a perfect blend of flavors and beautifully presented. We started with the coconut shrimp which was perfect! Then got the peppered steak and yellow curry. Hands down the best curry I’ve ever had! I substituted noodles instead of rice this time and loved it. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed throughout our meal. The ambiance was incredible, offering a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere that enhanced our experience. Portions were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend Indochine for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. The one thing I wish they would upgrade is only having 1 toilet, the line for the restroom can get long!
Not sure how I came across this gem spot, but I'm glad I did. The menu has an extensive amount of choices to pick from. I ended going with the Yum yum chicken. That dish is 🔥. The portions are wild here. You deff get what you pay for in terms of quality and quantity. The calamari was good too, I wish it was fried more for extra crunch factor. The Mariana and sweet and sour sauce (I believe) that it came with was phenomenal. The bunThit nuong beef was HUGE. Wasn't expecting the bowl to be that big and loaded. Another 10/10 dish here. Will come back once I'm in the area again. If you like Asian cuisine, this is a banging spot.
The atmosphere is serene. Very greeny and relaxed.
Food has gone down hill. The flavor is not what it once was. For this price? No thanks. Need to work on consistency. As another has stated noodles had no sauce. They were over cooked. They cater more to getting people in and out than quality. Won’t be back here.
Not worth the wait. I called ahead of time since it was raining and was told they were not seating anyone outside that night due to the rain. Once there, we were told there was a 1 hour 45min wait. We were not told there was a bar to order from while waiting, but we found out by just wandering around. We also found they were sitting in the back where the huts were, so i asked if we could be seated in the hut area. We were told it was first come, first serve basis, but kept people getting seated in the back from the main lobby. I also asked the front person where we were on the wait list and was told one person was ahead of us. Then again, we watched multiple people come in and get seated in the back. When I asked the front person again where we were on the list, they told me there was one group ahead of us. I told them they already told me that, but got a snarky response that they probably did not tell me they we were next. The front person was very rude and should not be working there. When being seated, I asked again about getting a seat in the back, but this time they told us it was wet back there and we probably not like. B.S. we were already back there and dud not care about it being wet, which it really wasn't. After being seated, they continued to seat people in the back. Perhaps this was due to me being fair skinned and being with a darker Thai lady. The food is not really authentic Thai and the typical Americanized sweetened Thai Food. Thai hot is only mild in a real Thai rating. Ask for 5 pepper hot to get close, though. The server was nice. Not looking to go back any time soon, if ever.
Excellent experience at this place - a delight to dine here!!! Ryan was our waiter and I would give a bonus star if I had an option. Food was top notch. The soup with coconut milk - absolutely delicious. We had a few different appetizers and my favourites were the satay, cha gio and momos. Each comes with different sauce. Entrees were huge and yummy too. Green curry was my favourite but the hot noodles were another favourite at my table. Caution - Save space for desserts. Chocolate mousse is lovely :) would have loved to try the sticky rice with mango but probably next time. Drinks were low sugar and good.
Go early if you don’t like to wait. This place gets super busy and they do not have a reservation system. There is call ahead for parties of 8 or more and gratuity is 20% for such parties. Not sure about the smaller groups.
Everything was good and very large portions. Service was excellent. Sit outside if the weather is nice. Amazing atmosphere!
Amazing food and such a cool outdoor eating area. There were lots of vegan options! The samosas were delicious and the staff was SUPER helpful identifying what was vegan and what could be made vegan. Will definitely go again. Make sure to get there early for dinner and snag a spot in line
We always try to visit Indochine whenever we visit Wilmington. While the outdoor seating is unlike any other restaurant in NC, the food is always perfection. Everything is mouthwatering and perfectly made in large portions. Try it all!
Fantastic Experience! Excellent food! Great Service! Highly Recommended!
Have not been here for years, but will be back soon! Our monthly neighborhood men’s group of about 20 guys had dinner there and everyone was very happy with their meals and the service. Our server Ava was perfect. She got all the food orders correct, checked on us often and remembered who all the checks belonged to who. I had the had the Happy Asian Melody and had enough left over for 2 people for lunch the next day. Food and services were excellent. Definitely recommend.
It was a nice garden and cool concept. The food was okay. I had pad se u and it was lacking flavor. Large portion though. Drinks were mediocre. I don’t feel it was worth the hour long wait.
Ok. Just not worth the hype. Food was tasteless. Maybe too Americanized. One and a half hour wait to get a table. Not their fault, just not worth the hype/wait for average Thai food. But if you are in Wilmington and want Thai food, not many choices. Server tried very hard but was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had to attend.
