They weren’t doing sushi for lunch, so I got an extra wonton in lieu of sushi. It was really good, I couldn’t believe the prices- so affordable! Will definitely be back.

Came here for lunch today with a friend. We split the Chicken Satay which tasted good! Chicken could have been a little bigger but it was perfectly seasoned and the peanut sauce was great. For our entrees we got chicken basil fried rice and Masaman curry. Bother we’re absolutely amazing. The curry was more of a peanut sauce than other places I’ve had the Masaman curry. Would definitely recommend this place.

They have a lunch special that's worth writing about. $5.99 bowl, just the right amount of food if you aren't a big eater. Food was delicious. Sushi is available after 5pm.

The food is always good but the service sucked tonight. It took forever to get our menu and for someone to take our order. After we got our food, I requested chili oil which was never brought. No one checked on us the duration of our meal and we ended up having no water half way through. We were sitting in the back corner so it was hard to get someone's attention. The waitress brought our bill and I was not happy with it. I ordered the pad see ewe with tofu and shrimp. I literally always order this everytime I come here. On the menu, the pad see ewe is $14.99 for chicken/tofu. I know there is an additional charge for the shrimp. However, the waitress charged me $2.00 for the tofu and $2.00 for the shrimp. That makes no sense when my boyfriend got the thai basil stir fry for $14.99 but got house protein, which is chicken, beef, and pork, for additional $3.00. So how did I end up paying more than my boyfriend when I only got 2 proteins. There shouldn't have been additional charge for the tofu when that is included in the base price. She tried explaining it to me but made no sense to me. Also, I have never been charged here for making my food gluten free so if there is going to be upcharge it needs to be stated on the menu.

I moved here 9 years ago and was introduced to Kyoto Grill for lunch. Wayyy better than Indochene! The food, the staff have been consistent. They remember who you are over the phone and in person. The rich flavors keep me coming back. I cannot stress enough how much love Kyoto Grill! Get here if you can, you will be impressed and satisfied with take out, dinning in or delivery! Try Pla Sam Rod, seahawk or UNCW roll.

It’s a five out of five for me! We just had dinner and OMG everything was excellent. The prices are fair, the people are friendly and food was off the meter. Our waitress was awesome and super attentive. We had the thom Kai soup, egg drop soup, larb gai, spring rolls, general tso, dragon chicken, and basil tofu rice … Words can express how tasty it was you just have to get some for yourself. 😋

Every time we go to Wrightsville Beach…we stop here for lunch. Their food is just delicious and very quick service. The place is also pretty quaint. My two yr old will enjoy just their white rice and broccoli from the drunken Master noodles dish. Summer vegetarian rolls were pretty good.

I read multiple reviews that said "best sushi in town," deceiving to say the least...idk if my order got crapped on or what, it wasn't right, neither was the price. It's buffet standards, and that's not real sushi to me 🙅‍♀️

Extremely friendly staff. I ordered the hibachi steak with zucchini onion mushroom and fried rice, plus it came with a salad, not too bad for 14.95. All the food was good, generous portions. Ginger sauce is delicious so is the white sauce as well as the ginger salad dressing. Only a mile from my house, I will definitely be back!

Came to Wilmington for a long weekend. Found this place as it doesn’t close until 9pm during the week. I ordered drunken noodle with chicken and my husband ordered the masamam curry with tofu. Both were solid dishes. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to find more than one dish that was gluten free. If you like things spicy, you may have to ask for more spice than what is usually cooked.

This is my favorite sushi spot! I come at least 2-3 a month and ate here for a week straight once trying all the sushi!!! The owner is super sweet and creative! The I have enjoyed everything I’ve ever gotten here and service is always amazing!!! This is my go to spot for bringing guests and on bad days there is always a deal going on. Pros: Clean appearance. quick service, friendly wait staff.
Cons: Food arrived cold. (Sent back to be warmed.. they microwaved it) Noodles were stuck together. Small shrimp. No authentic sauces. Bento boxes don't have sushi at lunch. In fact, there is no sushi at all for lunch. Hot and sour soup was not hot or sour..it was sweet! The dried noodles /chips were also sweet! The substitute for sushi on the bento box was a crab Rangoon. Which was only cream cheese..no krab or crab at all!

Our server (Gavyn) was great and really went above and beyond! Not only was the service amazing, but the food and atmosphere were also great!

What was supposed to be raw salmon, looked as if it was partially cooked from being held at unsafe temperatures. We took one bite and immediately had to spit it out. The only thing we ordered that was edible and actually pretty tasty was the pork belly fried rice. Everything else was just a waste of money. Tried reaching out to let them know and they did nothing. Won’t be coming back here.

Definitely a fusion restaurant where they cook Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Korean food in alternative methods. Its not bad at all, though the flavors and textures were not what I'm used to when it comes to each of the dishes. Worth it for the price, keep an open mind

I came here the other day and was served by a woman named Lola. her service was impeccable, her spunky upbeat attitude made this entire experience very savory and enjoyable, and she gave great suggestions about the menu that were delicious. Craaaaap. Online order, the whole shebang: apps, entree, extra side, & maki. SPECIFICALLY asked for Masaman to be adjusted to be spicy (even asterisks where indicated in "Special Instructions"). THEN, made a point to ask at pickup if Cook had seen those instructions, which I shouldn't have to do. "Oh, yeah! If it was written there, I'm sure he got it." Curry was sweet and not even with what would be generic Thai flavor or seasoning, let alone any heat. Same with roll: far too sweet; threw away ½ after forcing myself to eat what I did, since we'd paid & tipped so much. All in all, ⅔ of food straight in the trash. Because people think American equals happy with sugar.

Service was fast and the staff were very friendly. I had the baked mussels and a dynamite roll. The mussels were ok but both were LOADED with spicy Mayo. I couldn’t even eat the roll bc it was soaked in the Mayo and it was oddly warm.

OH MY GOODNESS! Kyoto is amazing. Me and my husband ate there for the first time tonight. The crab wontons are the best I have ever had!!! The sushi is AMAZING! (Uncw roll is insane good) our waitress was so sweet and helpful. We will be back very soon!

This little restaurant was right next door to the first motel I stayed at in Wilmington. I walked over and picked up a menu and was pleasantly surprised by the number of healthy foods they offered (and the prices!). On one occasion I got a fresh salad with ginger dressing and a bowl of egg drop soup for about the same price as a burger and fries. I’ll go back again soon.

The staff are always friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and authentic, and the overall experience is always great. This is my go-to dinner spot. I have since moved away from Wilmington, however this restaurant is amazing! The staff was always professional and courteous. The owners are the sweetest people and care so much about their restaurant. They both work so so hard, and you can see their passion for food. The food is, and always has been fresh and delicious. Not the mention, the quality of the food to the price, you cannot beat! My favorite dishes were the pad thai, thai basil, and the hot and sour soup. If you are looking for a delicious "hole in the wall" type of restaurant, please look no further than Kyoto!

I gotta admit, my guilty pleasure is General Tsos Chicken. And I've been underwhelmed lately by my usual places. Someone recommended Kyoto on Facebook, so I thought I would check it out. So happy! The phone service and counter service was friendly and quick, the restaurant itself (I did carry-out) had a nice quiet vibe, and wow. The food when I got it home was fabulous. Lots of veggies and sauce. All white chicken. And the spring roll just tasted like more. New favorite place!!

Just weird tasting seasoning. The chicken habachi was 😋. The chicken was moist and not dried out. It was flavorful and I could even taste the seasame seeds. I did have a spring roll for an appetizer with a single bite all the veggies came out. Yjedooing sauce was sooo good. I would use that for everything. Ordered some takeout online. Got the tempura box and Adrian’s chicken. The taste of the dishes was okay with the exception of the tempura dipping sauce; way too sweet. Also, the wrong salad dressing was given in the order. Lastly, the food affected our digestive system, resulting in trips to the throne.

Apparently the other food here is pretty good, but if you want pad thai I'd try somewhere else. Definitely not their speciality.

We/2 got there in a Tuesday night at 7p. Several tables were taken and no one was eating. Lots of take out orders leaving however. Waitress came over pretty quickly and took our drink order. Our friends arrived (2 more) and shortly after their drink orders were taken as well as our meal orders. 40 minutes later after we had been told the take out orders were nearly done and we would be next First Lady came back and said our ticket was lost. Order taken again and 15 minutes later we got our food. Folks around us were sitting waiting as we were. For food or to cash out. Pad Thai was good hibachi was mediocre sushi looked good. As far as food went it was priced correctly but unremarkable. The owner comped our meals so we left satisfied but with so many places try somewhere else. I get that staff was new or inexperienced but no one looked happy with their experience there. Maybe take out is the way to go

This place is a true hidden gem! My girlfriend and i travel to wilmington often and stumbled upon it a few years ago looking for a good local lunch spot. Not only did we get a good deal on the lunch special but the food was fresh, hot and fast. Not to mention the service is super friendly and welcoming also : ) Everytime we visit wilmington we make it a point to eat here at least once. We have had different dishes each time and the consistency in the quality of food they make or the service that they deliver has never disapointed. They have some super delicious appetizers also, i personaly recommend the BangPei shrimp ; )

Hands down my favorite gluten free restaurant. I have always loved Asian cuisine but was often found limited options. This places has it all and the menu has a lot of options that are able to make gf. The restaurant offers many specials through out the week and the weekend!
