Informal hangout known for creative sushi rolls & traditional Thai dishes.
food was delicious! I loved everything, only problems were that my boyfriend ordered a cooked tuna roll or something and it came smoked instead (he doesn’t like). They brought him a new roll for free and let us keep the “bad” one and I gave it to my mom. and the waiter didn’t speak English very well so it was slightly hard to communicate but besides that the food was absolutely amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. the chef and manager is a very kind and respectful man. service was wonderful, Food was wonderful, environment was great.
Stopped by for a some sushi before our girl headed back to school. It was a little late on a Saturday night so missed the main rush.
The food was good, fried squid and crab rangoon apps, followed by four rolls to share. The Chef Ginch, Lucas, Fruitville and Steve Mark rolls. All made well, good flavors and enough for dinner. Also recommend to try our cold sake choice, Bunraku Nihonjin No Wasuremono
What isn't there to love about this place? Everything about it was so perfect. Amazing tasty food. Warm and welcoming service. Beautiful interior vibe that makes you feel at home. And the digital menu system is pretty neat--it allows you to see your food and learn more about what to order, very cool.
I got the pad gra pow with pork and fell in love. It was a perfect portion size and absolutely tasty. It was seasoned well and a 3/5 spice level was quite manageable and added a perfect kick to the dish.
We were served quick and had a super pleasant experience. Will be back for sure
Was told an hour for a takeout order. Ended up waiting nearly 2 hours for a few sushi rolls. Establishment was far from at capacity. All food from the kitchen sat on the counter for over an hour. Some dishes have room for improvement. Some are edible. The gyoza are good. Honestly, the wait we endured seemed deliberate. Definitely don't do pick up here.
I went on Friday with another person a little after 9:00 pm for dinner, as the restaurant’s hours are open until 12:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant was fairly empty, with only one or two tables occupied, and we were seated right away. However, we sat at our table for 15 minutes while the staff, who were at a table directly behind us, refused to acknowledge or serve us. After waiting with no service, we decided to get up and leave. Really disappointed in the service here and won’t be coming back.
First, the food was very good. I ordered a sushi roll and Kang Massaman for the entree which my wife and I split. It was delicious! Why only three stars??? TERRIBLE value. The $22 Massaman came out with about four vegetable chunks and four pieces of protein. I chose crispy tofu for my protein and apparently tofu is a $4 up-charge over a meat protein. Weird. My wife asked for a side of rice and they charged her $4.50 for an ice cream scooper sized ball of rice (.15 cents in product, MAYBE?). I regret that I didn’t take a picture for the review, but I was hungry. Ultimately, very good food, but they will not be hugely successful as long as they continue to over-charge for very stingy portion sizes. This explains why there were only two other couples dining here over the lunch hour on a Saturday.
I ordered the food as spicy as possible (5/5) and it came with ZERO spice. Even after being brought a dish of pepper flakes after saying this, they did not add any spice either after adding the entire thing to my plate. What kind of Thai restaurant doesn't have any hot pepper around? They should be ashamed to call themselves Thai! The noodles used in the Pad Thai were also very odd, like ramen style rather then the usual linguine. One of the weakest Thai food I've had in the area.
The Drunken Poet is undoubtedly the best Thai and Sushi restaurant in Sarasota. The food is always consistent in quality, fresh, and quick to the table. Naz is also an exceptional server!
Pad Thai is amazing!
Overpriced. I found a hair in the salad....
Really exceptional Pad Thai
Authentic spices and you order the level of heat.
Nice service staff.
You will love it.

Very good pad Thai!
Everything was amazing. I wish we lived closer.

love love love this place!! service is great, the owner and all the workers are super nice. we love the gyoza and spicy basil!! thai poet sushi is amazing as well.
Ordered an appetizer and 2 sushi rolls and some thai teas - overall decent a little overpriced for quality and my boyfriend enjoyed it more than I did plus the coffee was sold out when we tried to order
Food was good. Service was slow and confusing
Tout était parfait, l’accueil, le service, les plats (soupe miso et curry de crevettes). Service rapide, personnel aux petits soins.
Je recommande !
Excellent food! Everything we had was delicious. We were able to sit outside with our dog. The area was pleasant. Lots of people walking around. Seemed safe.
Anytime you have authentic cooks in an area like this, it gets watered down significantly due to its customer base. The food is pricey and the taste is just ok. But I’m sure the locals love it.
Love the crispy beef!
Best sushi and service! Love coming here
Excellent Thai Food and the best sushi!
Best pad thai I’ve ever had
We love the food, cooked and not cooked, the service was great and super friendly, we love this place.
It’s a good place. They are really nice and the food is good I highly recommend it.
I had three meals which included the Thai Monster sushi roll, Pinky in the blanket, and Duck PadThai. All three were amazing, and I definitely recommend the Thai Monster, it's good in every flavor I had imagined, and the Duck PadThai? THE BEST I had ever had in any Thai restraunt I had ever ate.

I literally had to walk out on my server because she started trauma dumping about her mother. But let’s start at the beginning.
Firstly, we walk in and are rushed to our seats by our soon to be server. Shortly after sitting down, she comes to greet the table and gives a nasty attitude when two out of the three of us don’t greet her back. After this uncomfortable interaction, she fetches us some water which inspires new issues regarding drinks.
When she returns for the second time, inquiring about what we want to drink, we all state that we only want water. To this notion she starts ranting about how servers don’t make money from water and that we should buy something that cost money so that she can actually make a living.
After declining, she then switches topics towards “drinking too much water causes death.” to which I replied in a joking manner saying “Heck yeah! Death!” Which prompted her to deadpan stare at my face and say “It’s not funny. My mother died from drinking too much water too quickly…. you’re waiting for me to say I’m joking, but I’m not, it’s a real thing.”
When she was finished trauma dumping, water lady took everyone’s orders not before making everyone uncomfortable about not ordering enough.
So THEN we proceeded to walk out without a word.
Hire new staff or send them to therapy drunken poet.
I will not be coming back.
we went for lunch today and the server was quite rude, was making snide comments throughout our whole order. food mid.
not good
this place looks nice from the outside, but one interaction with this nightmarish server shatters that façade. this server, and older woman, was extremely weird during the entire interaction, from being mocking to bringing up that we should "stop drinking water because servers don't make tips on water." she then proceeded to bring up that drinking water too fast KILLS you and that her mom died that way. she was being weird and trauma dumping and it was just super uncomfortable.
Food was not very good for the price. Server was weird. Wouldn't come back or recommend.
Amazing Thai food!! Got fresh rolls and chicken pad Thai. Always love having delicious gluten free food! Thanks!
This place is the absolute best!! Every time we come here our family is welcomed with fantastic service. Best Sushi & Pad Thai in all of Florida! Every Sushi roll is full of flavor & you can taste it is fresh. The Bank Roll is our favorite!
Delicious!
Terrible service. Nasty attitude. Brought my meal 30 minutes after my family received theirs, and made it wrong. When I sent it back to be fixed my family was already done with their meal and I received attitude for bringing up the problem. I asked for it to be spicy the way it was supposed to be and they gave me CHILLI FLAKES to make it by myself. Disgusting service, rude people, bad food. DO NOT GO HERE, if you wish to be respected.
Met our son and his girlfriend here on his suggestion. Unique atmosphere! Service was great. Food was delicious. I am vegetarian and they had lots of options. I did the spicy basil stir fry with spicy level 3. Was perfect!! My husband had sweet and sour chicken and said it was great. Nice selection of beer. Will for sure go back!
Lovely food, great atmosphere. Our server was very kind. It's a very nice, quaint restaurant.
From someone who lived in Thailand, this place wasn’t great, but it also might be the best that you’re getting in Sarasota. The main problem I have with it is that it was really overpriced. For 20 dollars, the pad see ew was small. Flavor was decent, noodle texture was a bit off. Service was great and the atmosphere is lovely, but food could be better.
Got food poisoning from the sushi
Just wish the tables and chairs were not so close together. I didn't like the fact that they nickel and dime you, some extra ginger $1, oh well we all have bills to pay
Best Sushi in Sarasota hands down. The Thai food is so good too - we always get the lobster pad Thai, #3 spice. The duck soup (forget what it’s called) is to die for!
We go here very often, favorite sushi - Thai Monster (the BEST), Sexy Man and the Lucas (sub cream cheese for cucumber, per TC 😁)!
The servers too get to know you and truly care about if you like it!
Good pad Thai and friendly service. On the more expensive side.
The Pad Thai. THATS IT. Just get the Pad Thai. This dish was so flavorful and hit the spot. I’ve had Pad Thai many times, but this one took it to another level. It’s like a fancy version of the dish you’d get from your local Thai spot. I will 1000% be back to try the other dishes. BTW they have Ramune!!!
Great service and food
Great Thai food in Sarasota
It's alright. I make my own pad thai at home. The pad thai here is better but not by much. The sushi is pretty good, I like the queen Kong roll. Otherwise, it's not outstanding. Service is good though.
Literally some of the best and most authentic Thai food in America. So incredibly good, fresh and tasty. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Also, TC is an amazing server and did a fantastic job hosting us!
Overpriced for what is being served the portion sizes are way too small, quality is okay I have had better Thai food for less and what was more bothersome was the attitude of the person taking my order over the phone and when we went over to pick up our order…. Extremely rude and arrogant . Neither the food quality nor the service was good. Will not order or return again.. no thanks
Food is average, but what really ticked me off is they charged me extra for ginger and wasabi. I have never been charged extra for that in 30 years of dining at various sushi restaurants. I did not appreciate being nickel and dimed for my meal. I would say just not serve sushi if you're planning on charging extra for wasabi and ginger. I will not be going back.
I love the drunken poet but it’s hit or miss. The earlier you go the better quality of food. I forgot to take pictures. Next time
The food here is decent, their gyoza is crispy that's the best part. It's expensive for what it is and you can find better for cheaper elsewhere in Florida but the atmosphere is what you are paying for on the strip. Pretty place, good date night.
upon entering the establishment it was over 50% empty was hassled about requesting a larger table instead of the small table for two because we like to sit next to each other and it was a special dinner. We were there after just because of the request service plummeted after I insisted on the table that we wanted. The menu had a decent selection as we are vegan however when it came to the brown rice that we requested, we were shocked to find out there would be a $5.50 up charge. Dollar and $.50 they charged $1.50 for a small bowl of Sriracha, it couldn’t have been more than a tablespoon. Basically charging for air. Nick and diving us to death. The price the refreshment was four dollars and it was Miss balanced so it was unable. They did not take it off of the bill but blamed it on Pepsi company. All in all we will not be visiting again the rice was soggy Jasmine rice we think it was the cheaper brand. It did not flavor and basically made the dish drop down .We won’t be returning. on the plus side the vegetarian potstickers Gwoyza were delicious.
We dined here on Mothers Day in the early evening. Ordered about four appetizers, as there were four of us. Pot stickers were very good as was the chicken satay. We all had different entrees. Every one liked what they ordered and the servings are good sized. Service was great for such a busy day. Would definitely recommend.
Cute decor. Excellent food and service. I had crab Rangoon and shrimp pad Thai. Both really good. Then I got the Thom ka gai soup to go for dinner later and it was excellent, full of Thai flavor!
Great experience here!
Great service. Food is inconsistent I ordered green curry last time and again this time. They rate their hot on a 5 scale. I ordered 3 both times. My boyfriend ordered 5 for pad thai. I think I got his hotness.
Crab Rangoon, shrimp tempura, fresh roll and spicy conch roll were all delicious. My only complaint is that our party of three arrived at 5:45. There were 8 empty tables but we were told none were available and so we sat at the bar. When we left an hour later several of the tables were still empty. I think the hostess was rude not to seat us at a table.
My husband's fried rice was mushy.
The bathrooms had plumbing issues with the toilets.
Great restaurant - enjoyed red curry chicken and spicy basil beef. Fresh food, vibrant flavors and great service. Def. go.
Food was okay. They rip you off when you substitute for tofu instead of the meat on the dish. They charge $2 more. We all know that meat is more expensive. Once again, corporate greed.
Storefront doesn't match the ambiance inside - it's quite nice. Food exceeded our expectations.
absolutely amazing! this has been my favorite place in sarasota for a bit but i'm writing this review because Suracha just gave the best service tonight! It was my birthday dinner tonight and she just made it so special!!! truly the sweetest person paired with the most amazing food!
TC, our waitress, was a real MVP. We had a great experience and the food was very authentic. If there was 6 starts I would give this place a 6 star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fun fact: found my favorite beer ever!
10 out of 10, great food, amazing service. We had the most friendly server, Angie, she helped me experience Thai food for the first time and it was delicious! We got to chatting and she actually moved here a few years ago from Bangkok. Talk about an authentic experience. My kids and family were full and happy, a great dining experience all around, highly recommend coming in and giving it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Nice Sushi & Thai foods
Delicious!!! Lekky was a fantastic server!!! We got the pork gyoza, crab Rangoon and curry pockets for appetizer. Then we shared pad thai with chicken and spicy pork friend rice
Split between 3 people and plenty of food to go around. $115 for all that and drinks each!
My experience at Drunken Poet Café in downtown Sarasota was very pleasant. Though it was a bit overpriced, the sushi & appetizers were good. Additionally, the restaurant had a very dark look. The staff were also nice.
I am deeply disappointed with the excessive amount of chives in my dumplings, which significantly detracted from my dining experience. While I must acknowledge that the pad thai was adequately prepared, it too was lacking in flavor and could benefit from enhancement. Additionally, the sushi fell below my expectations, primarily due to its overall blandness. These culinary aspects certainly require attention for a more satisfactory dining experience.
Stopped in after matinee show at Van
Wezel. Awesome attentive service as soon as we entered. The tablet menus took a second for us seniors to understand. Loved the photos matching the sushi rolls. Fresh veggies in the Pad Park were great.
Definitely will return.
Not vegan friendly. We ordered things that were labeled vegan on their menu - and then when they were delivered to us with egg, we were told we had to tell them “no egg” and they would not correct the order or remove the charge from our order. Not worth going if you’re vegan - they’ll say it’s vegan and then serve you non-vegan food so there’s no respect in that aspect.
My fiance and I love this place in my opinion it's the best sushi in Sarasota when you go there try the sexy woman or the sexy man roll. 10/10
Hands down my most favorite restaurant! Food and service out of this world!
Sushi and curry blew me away! So good!
Delicious Pad Thai.
Eye appealing.
Food was amazing and the server was very nice to our toddler.
Bueno
We were trying to hit up Pho Cali but it was closed and ended up here. Wishing food was good but it was meh. Ordered lamb stew, Penang curry, rice wasn’t cooked all the way and was mediocre. they charged for every little thing. Not worth it nor coming back sorry.
The food was good but overpriced compared to the average Thai place. Extra rice was only available tor an extra cost, not the norm in Asian restaurants I’ve frequented.
I had dinner at this restaurant the week before Christmas 2023 for a friend’s birthday, and the food was absolutely fantastic. In fact, the food was so good that night, that I made reservations for my birthday this week. Made reservations for three people at 7:30 PM and arrived at 7:22 PM only to be ignored until 7:50 PM when we finally got up and left the restaurant. Super disappointing because I had recommended it so highly to my friends who were with me and also because it was my birthday dinner. Ended up going to a restaurant around the corner. That was OK but not what I wanted for a birthday dinner. Extremely disappointed and do not see the point in making a reservation, if that’s how you’re going to be treated. When we got up to leave the waitress asked if we were leaving and we told her yes and her response was just “ok”. Nice. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 17 years as did one of the other guests with me, and both of us were absolutely horrified by the lack of a sequence of service in this restaurant.
Made a reservation for 3 at 7:30 (1/4/24) for a friends birthday. We were only served water and after 25 minutes of our server just walking past us and even saying once “I’ll be right there” we finally got up and left. Not once did we get asked if we ever wanted a drink or to order. When she saw us get up I simply said “we are gonna go somewhere else” she just said “okay”
No I’m sorry, nothing.
Was so looking forward to dinning here tonight. Had the reservation for weeks.
I won’t be going back.
First time visit and I'll be back when I'm in the area! Great service, good portions and most importantly great food!
Every bite was perfect. Have been coming here since they opened. Is my favorite place to go.
Food was very good albeit small portions for the price
Open in Christmas Day. Nice people great food.
The food is pricey for what you get. Service is fine as well as the atmosphere. Where Drunken Poet shines is the location but sadly that is it. Far better Thai restaurants in town from a value perspective.
Best Pad Thai in SWFL
Great service and food, and super nice ppl and very polite.
So many chairs and tables so it feels like youre eating with a neighbor. Food takes too long.
Great food, service and environment. If I lived near I would definitely come again. It was kind of a cold night and hot sake and drunken noodles were exactly what I needed it.
Excellent entrees, drinks, and atmosphere. Can't go wrong with the curries or pad kee mao. Service is prompt and friendly.
Lady at the front is rude , they close 45 mins early and they also have roaches …
STAY AWAY
Awesome food and great atmosphere
Their salmon isn’t sushi grade. Very poor quality and taste. Ordered twice and both times was terrible.
A little expensive but food was delicious. Chicken Satay portion was ridiculously small. Gluten free soy sauce upon request
Nice place to have a dinner with family and friends
Excellent sushi, my wife's Lobster Roll was decadent and the Sexy Woman Roll was equally Delicious. The staff was great and friendly, even with a very large group for a birthday. Fun decor and great cozy atmosphere.
Very good stuff! Been a handful of times now and it's always excellent food.
Sushi was outstanding, special rolls were delicious!
Small Thai restaurant with excellent food and gluten-free options for my wife....great find
Since we began enjoying this delightful spot in 2019 it has been the MOST CONSISTENT AND DELICIOUS FOOD IN SARASOTA and Bank works 7 days a week to MAKE SURE OF IT. Thank you for always giving us the best, even until midnight!!
Jamey & Gina
We went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. This Incredible Hulk roll is phenomenal and the Pad Thai and Pad See Eew were top shelf. Our server Angie, was very friendly, warm, and professional. The atmosphere is dark and more suited for an evening experience. One of the walls, high above the front door, is decorated with an old bookshelf, and the rest of the room carries an old world feel. We had a sushi roll, two entrees, and two non-alcoholic beverages and the bill with tax and tip was $91. This is a lot for lunch in my opinion. We will be back for dinner though.
This restaurant is something else, I just loved the warm ambience, how clean everything looked since I stepped in and the food was delicious but mostly five stars to the service, you can tell everyone knows what they're doing and they do it with passion! The waitress was so nice and careful that after commenting her that I had my stomach upset she suggested a very good soup they had on the menu but mostly she took the time to prepare some hot water for me and bring it to me with some lime, telling me that that would make me feel better and it really did! I will definitely return as I felt treated extremely well with a lot of genuine care by such a thoughtful staff !!
We went in and we felt rushed to take our order before even being seated, it smelled like the building hadn’t been clean and there were moths and cockroaches in the building and lipstick on our cups when served. When we asked to leave they charged us $8.56 for drinks we didn’t touch and when asked for cups we never received them and waited 20 minutes. Keeping in mind there was only one table other that ours. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for the atmosphere and service.
The food was good however I had an older Asian man as a server who honestly ruined the restaurant for me and I would never return. When I ordered, I requested the spicy basil fried rice, however my server mentioned there was no more rice left. No big deal, I ordered pad Thai instead. Tell me why the people who sat down and ordered 5 minutes after me were told that there was rice available and was able to order the same fried rice. I later questioned the server about it and he just looked stunned. Then when I said, “oh is it because you made rice after we had ordered” he took a minute was like that’s exactly what happened. Then gave me some excuse on why the rice was made only after I finished ordering. You should have seen the look on his face, it didn’t look genuine, it’s the look of, I just got caught. I would have appreciated if he told me, we are currently out of rice but it will take a little longer to make it. Anyways, i recommend the restaurant simply for the food and the ambience, and nothing else.
Great service, great food. I had pad Tai chicken and my companion had a curry dish and we shared spring rolls. All were excellent.
Our favorite sushi place!
Excellent food and service. Thanks T.C.
We will be back
I remember going here years back and things have changed. We got two starters: Crab Rangoon and Sumai, the size of each starter was so small, you'd have to order double orders of each just to really enjoy them. We split a roll and it was decent but not like the quality from prior. It's a shame because this was one of my favorite places to go. Things have changed.
My son had told me about the Drunken Poet. I’m sushi person so always looking for new place. Ordered appetizers, salads and 3 rolls. The rolls are like double normal size. It is a lot of food. Presentation was outstanding. Food was very flavorful. The service was good and timely. Will definitely go back soon when I’m downtown Sarasota.
Stood at the “please wait to be seated” sign for over ten minutes. The hostess walked towards us and I said “2”, she walked outside and brought in two people who arrived after us and seated them, then continued to ignore us. The place also smells like a sewage backup problem.
Bon mais cher.
Went with a group of 8. The food was AMAZING! I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice served in half a pineapple. I have never tasted anything like this. It was so good, that I wanted a second one, but I had also ordered a plate of sushi. I am gluten free and they made sure that my food was not cross contaminated. I wish there was another one of these where I live, but if I find myself back in Sarasota, you can bet that I will be eating here again. And, to top it off, the prices were great for the amount of food you were served. Bravo!! thank you.
Was tasty pad Thai but didn't have any spicyness and I was still hungry after. Also it's so dark in there they just have menus on tablets so you can actually read them.
One of the best restaurants I've eaten at in my entire life. Great service top of the line food!!! Very flavorful options and must try items!!!! Will be going back soon!!!
I was very disappointed with that place. As a big fan of Thai food, this was the worst I've ever had. The location was great, but the prices were high and the food was garbage. I'll never go back and would never recommend it to anyone.
Beware! I visited the restaurant on 07/30/23 and was charged $10 more than I should have been! After checking my card statement a few days after the visit, I noticed the charge was $10 more than we spent. Someone changed the tip amount by adding a "1" in front of the amount because we left a small tip! The tip reflected the service we received. I called the restaurant and spoke to an employee who was supposed to pass the information on to the management. I have not received a call back with an apology or a refund of the difference! This speaks volumes of the service at this place! I urge you to check your card statements and avoid this restaurant if you value your money and your time.
I recently ordered from here I think this is the fourth time or so. There seems to be a decline in quality and quantity. The noodles were mushy in the pad Thai and there was basically nothing but noodles. My other dishes was similar, One was just a pile of onions with some tofu and sauce. I've ordered this dish from them before and it was definitely much much better last time. Highly disappointed. Maybe it's because it's offseason?
Not sure what happened with the portions either but I ended up getting lunch portions It looks like at dinner rates. None of the containers were even close to full. I finished two entrees and I'm still hungry and I typically don't eat a lot of food.
Edit: I got sick from this order.
Outstanding
Great location and service was nice!
Appetizers (Pinkies in a blanket and shu mai) were solid!
The Pad See Ew was very underwhelming just for me personally- no flavor at all for what I expected for the price. The drunken noodles were not spicy and only had one flavor- basil.
The portion sizes were moderate. I enjoyed the atmosphere and experience, and if I were to return- I would most likely only order the appetizers!
Expensive for what is was. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a typical bistro
Crab Rangoon with curry in it. I can never go back. It's so damn good. Wow.
What a cool little place. Totally worth trying to find. The sushi was great.
Kind of pricey but I totally feel it is worth it. If you don't want the usual japanese sushi experience then give this place a shot.
Wish I had taken pictures cause the decorations are awesome.
On Vacation in Sarasota for 5 days. On our first night we decided to get a bite to eat on main street. We are walking down main street and happen across this establishment within 3 minutes of leaving or car when TC walks out and say's hi, I noticed you guys looking in the window and you look kinda lost (lol) we were! She then say's do you like tai food....YUP I say's. Next thing we know she is leading us into the restaurant like the lost puppies we were:) She says I got you guys and proceeds to give us the best experience we never planned for! From the Sake, to the crab Rangoon, Sushi, to our dinner, she absolutely hit it out of the park. Her personal service, personality and service will not be forgotten so Go get you some TC at the Drunken Poet and enjoy an incredible lady and meal!!!
Ask for the server TC ! Excellent food and service!
First time here. The couple we went with have eaten here before & love it & did we. Very fresh fish. Creative combinations for the sushi rolls. We would definitely go again & recommend it for sushi lovers
Good sushi.
Excellent Thai food
We were so disappointed.
I ordered the salmon teriyaki and asked for it to be very moist. It was overcooked and terribly dry.
I couldn't eat it and I never return food but I had to. I replaced it with basil chicken, which my husband also ordered and it was sub par at best. My mother in law order lobster pad Thai and liked it very much.
They made an error on the bill and we waited about 15 minutes to get the final bill.
Our server was lovely but the overall experience was so disappointing. We would not give it a 2nd try. I will say the sushi looked great so maybe that's what it's best known for. I rarely write reviews but when you spend
almost 170.00 for three people, I felt compelled to write a review.
Stopped by here on my walk around the town and wow, let me tell you.
I didn't expect the food to be much but the food was AMAZING.
We had their curry with Roti and it blew our mind..
They don't look super appetizing but once you try that flavor it just blew our minds.
They have a wide variety of beers and appetizers/sides. And their desserts are super different and delicious as well
Will definitely recommend anyone in the area to go here and try their menu, we had to revisit the next day right before we left just to get a taste of that curry again.
Please make sure to give these guys a visit they deserve it.
We didn't have a reservation and we're under dressed for the occasion but they happily seated us anyway. The level of cuisine we were about to experience blew us away. I'm fairly educated on Asian cuisine and this was top notch. Give it a shot If you're looking for a new upscale Asian spot. It stands out amidst other contenders in the area like KOJO. Great dinner choice
Really interesting place for sure. They have good service. The place is well kept and nice inside. The food here is pretty amazing overall I would say the sushi has a lot of great flavor but the entrees don’t have a lot of flavor to them they are a little on the bland side but if that’s what you like then the entrées will be perfect for you. I definitely recommend you check this place out.
Best thai food in Sarasota in my opinion. I always get the chicken pad thai.
Best sushi in town.
