We served Thai street food!
Such a cute little spot - came on a fairly cold day but the interior is warm and cozy! Got the lunch special on a weekend which is always appreciated. $11 for some of the crispiest spring rolls and a generous portion of drunken noodles. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable!
The staff were so welcoming, kind and helpful. The fried tofu was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce provided with the tofu was delicious and the perfect amount! The drunken noodles with tofu were also really good. The Kai Sam Ros was absolutely delicious!! The chicken was crispy and the sauces paired perfectly with the chicken. Would highly recommend the Kai Sam Ros!
Absolutely amazing prices for excellent prices and good quality food! The fried tofu (5/5) was incredible - crispy, hot, bit silky on the inside. The khao soi (4/5) was well flavored and the potions? Wow wee they literally put in 3 chicken thighs and it fed me for 2 days after. It's literally giant. Tom Kha (4.5/5) was also delicious! Service was also amazing!
This place is legit! I loved their Som Tham (papaya salad). It reminded me of a restaurant in Bangkok. This place is BYOB, so bring your beers and wine! The service here was phenomenal. We came here after eating omakase sushi meal at Shinzo, but we loved everything. Definitely worth a try.
Delicious and solid Thai food. Easy here when you want the "stereotypical" menu - I.e. Nothing really adventuresome here - but you want it to taste hella good!
Amazing food, great and fast service! Cozy place during a rainy day. The servers are so nice and friendly!! Will definitely come back!
I really like this place!! Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere for very affordable price! Highly recommend!
Ordered takeout. Had the pad kee mao and some spring rolls. It was meh. Noodles were not very flavorful, pretty bland, which is strange for this dish. Staying at a hotel, specifically asked for utensils, got none. Ultimately disappointing and did not live up to the 4.9 star review.
Lovely little Thai place. Food and service are great!
I ordered the pad thai with extra pork and Thai spicy. This is hands down the best pad Thai I have ever had!! Every part of the meal was rich of flavor and complemented each other, squeezing the provided lime made it taste even better. Definitely recommend
An impromptu visit and Chomp didn’t disappoint
This place is a GEM and deserves all the praise! The spring rolls & chicken wings were crispy. We got the pad thai (chicken) and fried rice (beef) for entrees, both yummy! Delicious AND affordable, very rare in this city! My one note is that it does get quite chilly in the winter because they get so many pick up orders that the door swings open a lot so dress appropriately for the weather.
Such a cute little spot - came on a fairly cold day but the interior is warm and cozy! Got the lunch special on a weekend which is always appreciated. $11 for some of the crispiest spring rolls and a generous portion of drunken noodles. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable!
Visited from Texas and stumbled upon this place and we are so glad we did. Such delicious food and incredible service!
Good food, good service, good price.
I’ve been here twice and the food is so good at a great. Currently my favorite place in lower East side
The Khao Soi was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. Very friendly staff as well
Incredibly attentive service and truly delicious food. Everything was very fresh and flavorful.
- food is great
- AMAZING lunch special deal…$11 for entree and app
- great ATTENTIVE service…
- staff are very sweet
- sometimes it’s very drafty when the door is open that’s it
I get delivery from here frequently - Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) and Tom Kha soup. It’s always fast, fresh, and reasonably priced. Excellent.
This is a very cozy atmosphere the people are so nice and the food is to die for!😁
Food is mediocre. Over priced. Curry chicken barely gets any flavor in the meat itself.
What a deal! Had red curry and dumplings and soup for a late lunch. Can't wait to go back. People are nice.
i have never been so attended to or so hydrated 🥰
Eat here at least once a week….so so so good
I had Khao Soi, one of the best meals I ever had.
This is the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand! So authentic, fresh and flavorful. Prices are excellent and everything was delicious!
Randomly happened upon this place while searching for a late lunch/early dinner. Great service, great food!
Best pad thai!
My wife and I were heading out of town. She got a little hungry and we decided to stop for some Thai food. I looked up the local Thai restaurants in the area and saw chomp chomp had a pretty good rating and boy did we not regret it. The service was remarkably quick and the food was phenomenal. Definitely deserves five stars. It was so good I place my order twice. I recommend trying this spot for sure. 👍🏾
Really nice Service - Great food!
Quick, tasty, and a tight space!
Great authentic Thai place with some harder to find dishes. The food was amazing and the portions were large for an amazing price. Staff were friendly and quick and the service was friendly. As far as sit-down restaurants go this might be the best value/quality per dollar place I have eat in NYC. Highly recommended.
Nice atmosphere, I’ve tried multiple dishes and all of them were great!
i am a big fan of chomp chomp, it’s the best!!!!
edited to add: i now somewhat regret telling everyone about how great chomp chomp is because i frequently have to wait for a table. still the best tho
Best Thai place in the city!!! Very kind server. The place is really good! Pad Thai is done very well!!! (Maybe a bit more peanuts and green onions) but nonetheless still very good!! My gf got the eggplant basil and it was fantastic! The Thai tea is very good.. Our server.. she did a phenomenal job making this a 5 star experience. Very good portions!! And generous with protein… vegan or not.
love this spot fr
Don’t blink, you’ll miss it ! This, little, unassuming spot is THE best Thai food in NYC !!! You have to come here. Service is charming to boot!! We ordered generously literally every, single thing….delicious !!!’ We will be back
this is one of my favorite thai spots in the city! the food is consistently good, and the amount you get for the value is unbeatable. i eat as much of it as i can because it’s so tasty but i’ll still have leftovers! the staff is nice and the vibe is good
Excellent and the lunch special is a fantastic deal. $11 including tax for a chicken drunken noodle and Tom Yum. Definitely get the noodles medium spicy at least, the mild has less flavor.
Very comforting and delicious food
Chomp Chomp Thai Kitchen has the best Thai food. The environment is so nice and the food is so good. You have to try the Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, Green Curry, and their dumplings. They are a must try. Definitely recommended going there.
Very good and very good prices, especially lunch time has a good deal.
Excellent food and service! Loved our dinner
10/10 everytime! New fav Thai in LES!
Nous avons très bien mangé, aussi bien qu’en Thaïlande !
Everything was perfect !
It was about 2:30 pm on 9/11/2024 when my friend and I strolled to Chomp Chomp. Even though the weather was 84 degrees, it was pleasantly pleasing for us. We entered the cute, cozy restaurant and was greeted by the waiter. I immediately said "Sawadee Ka", which means hello in Thai and he gave me a polite, bright smile and answered back the same.
We then were seated and ordered Thai Iced Tea, which were delicious.
My friend never had Thai food before and was excited to try it. My stomach was excited too. Oh yes!
We looked over the menu and for appertizer decided to ordered Papaya salad, which was very flavorful and chicken wings that came with sweet, savery sauce. The spring rolls, which we didn't ordered, was complimentary. It was crispy and mouth watering.
For the main course, I'd ordered Chicken Drunken noodles. Ah! so delicious and the taste was well balanced between spicy, sweet and a little salty that made it morsel with every bite. My friend ordered Chicken Basil fried rice. With some hesitations, because it was spicy, he took two mouthful of rice and then he devoured his whole meal without delay.
The price was very reasonable. I'd told the waiter that I will do YELP reviews for Chomp Chomp and his face lit up. Thanks for reading. Be well.
Great food, big portions, affordable prices
I love this place will recommend to everyone.good service and so friendly
I barely leave review. This place is fire
SO GOOD! The service is incredible, my water was always filled. Love the whole menu but their mango sticky rice dessert is INSANELY DELICIOUS!
Amazing food, staff is adorable, acoustics are wonderful too, you can really talk and it’s not too loud. Literally couldn’t ask for anything better. This is legit a wonderful gem. I don’t think I’ve had better Thai food outside Thailand. The chomp chomp duck was unreal. Chomp chomp!!!
Adorable restaurant in a nice location. Menu had a variety of dishes which were all delicious! I got the Drunken Noodles which were underwhelming in terms of spice (definitely ask for them to make it extra spicy or at least above medium spicy). Great ambience and lovely service. Will definitely go back when I’m craving Thai food
Great food at great value! Service came short though as they were short of staff + super busy + tiny space
Thai food has been my fav cuisine of all time, and this place blew me out the water.
delicious!! super flavorful food and nice people
I recommend to all who loves thai foods like me. Great experience
I’ve dined here with my wife and 12 y.o. kid. The atmosphere is easy going and the food excellent (we shared an aubergine salad to die for, and an excellent duck and Masaman).
We’ll be back.
Astonishingly good for a tiny hole in the wall. Very reasonably priced, delicious thai food. Everything tastes fresh and the portions are generous. The times I’ve dined in, the staff have always been warm and welcoming. Quick free in-house delivery too.
Overall, some of the tastiest thai food in a neighborhood overflowing with thai restaurants.
Delicious
Hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had in the United States
Best Thai restaurant in the city!
Such a lovely place — the team is amazing and the food so delicious !
Just EXCELLENT! Food, service, and ambiance were amazing. Highly recommend.
Honestly the best Thai food I've had in this hemisphere. Absolutely fantastic and wonderfully priced as well.
Insanely great food!
Hands down some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had outside of Thailand. Their green curry is PHENOMENAL.
Really enjoyable calm environment, excellent quality food, and excellent value. We will be sure to come back on future travels! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys great Thai food!
Too
Food very yummy! Good portion sizes ordered a duck meal and drunken noodle with mock duck. Both very satisfying!
Food is good. Service is poor and slow. A cup of water took 3 attempts. Unwilling to accommodate my disabled son because the server was counting the chairs. Could not give me one smaller chair.
NICE find! Great service and food
I love this place <3 I work in the area and come here all the time. It’s a 15 minute walk and I only have an hour to eat, but I still come cause it’s that good. Can’t go wrong with any of the dishes and the lunch special has amazing value !
I love the minced pork dish and the seafood special dish with fried shrimp, squid. It was sooo good!
I am so picky about the quality of food and the ambiance. This place has it all! If I could give it 10/5 stars, I would.
The staff are friendly and quick! I really like how they are attentive and affable.
The food, is CHEFS KISS. I have been here twice already - got the papaya salad and the Chomp Chomp duck and tried both the mango sticky rice and taro custard (for dessert)
Allllll so good. I don't eat duck or eggplant but the Chomp Chomp Duck (one of their specials) is off the charts!!!!!!!!!
Also, gotta get a classic Thai ice milk tea. I gotta come here again to try their other specials.
This is the nicest and most delicious, authentic Thai restaurants in nyc. The location is slightly far from subway but it really worths an eight minute walk for the food and great service.
Try Thai street food on their menu and be prepared to be in awe of the aroma. I also love a good, spicy, flavorful Tom Yum soup - and for a $6 soup, they even give you three shrimps. Everything on their menu is gold.
If you’re reading reviews, stop and just go eat at Chomp Chomp.
Wow, this place is incredible. The portions are great sized, so don’t be afraid to share. We ordered the pad Thai, cashew nut, and corn salad. The spices and flavors were spot on!
The staff are super helpful and friendly. We appreciated their service.
Terrific new Thai restaurant. Everything was delicious.
Absolutely incredible! Loved the vibes and the food. If you like Thai food and you’re in the area, I highly recommend!!!
Hidden gem for real Thai food lovers! The restaurant itself is small and cozy. Their dishes are delicious and authentic! The portions are huge and are difficult to finish. The winner for the evening was clearly the Khao Soi! But you cannot do anything wrong here! Just come in and try a you’ll love it!
we came here because of the great reviews and the place didn't disappoint. absolutely delicious food and drinks (especially the lemon iced tea)
Food was great. Everything’s we ordered was good.
What a neighborhood gem! I've spent over a year traveling around Thailand and this place is world class, ahan aroi mak maak! Definitely go check it out. It'll be my new neighborhood go to for sure.
The pork appetizer, eggplant salad, jumbo prawns, and beef massaman were all fantastic.
best tofu soup
Excellente cuisine thaï !!! Service parfait, digne d'un grand restaurant mais avec un grand sourire en plus ! Prix très abordables en plus. Top !
Buono, bello e onesto! Servizio impeccabile.
Excellent food, gluten free accommodating and friendly helpful service.
BEST PLACE EVER!!! great prices! great portions!!
Best Thai in the neighborhood by far.
Amazing food, Pad Se Ew is on the level of high quality restaurants. Prices are very fair. Service was great and attentive. Also appreciate that they pack leftovers for you instead of just giving you the box. Also HIGHLY recommend going for their lunch
Specials. The price is VERY affordable for the same sized portion. Will definitely be a regular now. Thanks a lot guys!
Very delicious. Small spot so limited seating. For the area in Manhattan, it’s not as expensive as other spots. We ordered the Khao Soi, chicken Pad Thai, fried tofu, and Khao Pad Poo. Khao Soi and Khao Pad Poo were our favorite. The Khao soi came with 5 pieces of chicken thigh !! So tender and yummy.
The Khao Pad Poo was a big order and the sauce it came with added some spicy vinegar to it.
Came out to $90 for 3 meals, and 2 iced teas
about 7 tables, 2-5 seaters.
Would come back
I'm such a creature of habit it's disgusting. I get takeout from Terra Thai 2-3 times a week, but I walk by Chomp Chomp everyday and always see it packed. I always think about trying it instead of Terra Thai, but get scared at the last minute.
I just find the opportunity cost of my Terra Thai spicy basil chicken plate (w/ extra chicken) so great. I know exactly what I'm getting, and if I order from somewhere else and don't like it, then I literally wasted a Terra Thai plate and that is just so tough to come to terms with. A heavy cross to bear.
Anyways, all this to say last Friday I worked up the courage to break free from the chains of habit and ordered the spicy basil chicken plate (w/ extra chicken) from the hole in the wall that is Chomp Chomp and took it to my big bros crib to watch basketball. It also helped that Terra Thai was already closed hahaha.
It came with SO much Chicken and probably a cup and a half of rice. They were not skimping on the extra chicken like a lot of places do.
Honestly, it was fantastic and I had not one regret. The chicken was well seasoned with a healthy amount of spice that made me feel alive. Big bro even took the name down because he liked the couple bites I gave him. This may be the first thing I've ever put big bro on!
I'm still taking Terra Thai, as something in the way they chop & season their chicken is just so different...but Chomp Chomp is a GREAT backup point guard.

Probably not the same owner but the spot here before was also thai, and it was very delicious. This new spot is just as delicious, if not more. Just look how beautiful these noodles are! Might go back today. The lunch special is definitely needed, and is such a good deal, thank you!
Update: I've been going back more times than I expected to, and it gets better every time. I love the food, the staff, their hospitality very much. Please don't change.
I took my wife there for date night and she cant stop talking about what a wonderful time we had.. the food, the waiters, the atmosphere all superb.
10 stars!!!!!!
Look no further! Best Thai food with a cute ambiance, with a FANTASTIC price. The service was above and beyond; felt like I was eating food in my parents home. Dishes during lunch were on average $15 each, can’t beat that!
Had the papaya salad, the drunken noodles and the chomp chomp duck. The papaya salad in medium spicy was a touch too spicy but good. The noodles were outstanding and so was the duck. The service felt a tad slow given that the place was only half full, I think they were short staffed by one person. Great value, would definitely go back.
Nice little restaurant. Food was great!
Amazing food!
Traveling from Dallas…The best Pad Thai I’ve ever had and loved the Basil Beef.
Super cute and modern. Great service.
Great dinner.
I just love it so much, one of the best Thai restaurant!
The best
Amazing spot!
Best hidden gem Thai place. Food is absolutely delicious.
This place was such a pleasant discovery! Drunken noodles and tom yum soup. Loved the food, definitely on my list of favorite Thai places in the city! The ambience is warm and welcoming.
Delicious food, great atmosphere and cleanest bathroom in NY
I was in a pinch and saw this hole in the wall but wow. Everything was fantastic. Best thai food ive had. Service was great, no wait. Wish I could frequent this place but I was merely a tourist.
Awesome Thai food! I'm a big fan of Thai food and I usually go to a different restaurant in this area but I wanted to try something new and this place looked interesting.
The food tasted very authentic. I got the "khao kra prow khai dao" with pork over jasmine rice and it was really tasty. Pretty spicy but not overwhelming and lots of other flavor, not just heat. The Thai iced tea was also very good.
Best of all the prices are fantastic! Most of the entrees are $15-$17 depending on what type of meat you get. Service was great too. Food came out quickly and everyone was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely bomb, had the drunken noodles, basil fried rice, veggie dumplings and thai iced tea. Everything was 10/10
What a pleasant surprise!
We walked in for a late dinner after chanting at the Bhakti center.
We had the duck over eice with steamed veggies, pad see ew, along with a thai ice tea.
The duck overice was cooked nicely with a slightly sweet gravy, and the flavors just mixed well.
The pad see ew was filled with chicken and vegetables and was enough for 2 people.
The thai ice tea also had an option of coconut milk, which was aWeMaZiNG!
Overall, it is a much recommended place. The food was fresh, the service was topnotch, and the bathroom was clean.
The establishment definitely shows their care of the customers by providing great attention to the food and decor.
What a find. Really pretty spot with attentive service and delicious food. Very reasonably priced as well. Thank you
Ummmmm this place is like the best Thai I’ve ever had and I’ve had Thai all around the world, including Thailand.
I don’t understand why there is not a massive line outside of this restaurant. The food is incredible.
Go here now.
Get the moo yang and tom yum
The moo tod is so good
My family and I had dinner here while visiting the city. The food was excellent and the service was great! We ordered pad thai, red curry and green curry. Everything was delicious. My kids said it was the best pad thai they had ever had. The location was very close to our hotel, so glad we stumbled across this one. The weather was great, so we sat outside. Service was quick and friendly. Bravo!
I has the drunken noodles. It was amazing. It was made mild for me instead of medium spicy. It was absolutely delicious! The portions are great for the price. I'm going to try it again but medium and maybe one of their soups. Everything looks delicious.
My favorite place to grab a lunch special in the middle of the day. The servers are always kind and super attentive. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful and plentiful for what you pay. I try to bring people here to put them on.
Delicious food and great service
The duck noodle soup was amazing and great portion, $16. Can't wait to try more next time I am in LES.
Meega leckeres Essen zu sehr angemessenen Preisen. Waren während unseres New York Trips regelmäßig zum Essen hier. Selten so eine zuvorkommende Bedienung erlebt. Das Essen schmeckt gleich nochmal so gut wenn man den Mitarbeitern anmerkt dass sie einen gerne bedienen und Spaß dabei haben. Immer wieder gerne!!!
Big portions for reasonable price - I ordered the drunken noodle. Really good proportions of protein to vegetables to starch. Grilled tofu also was delicious. Service was good and fast, would definitely come again.
This is such a cute little thai restaurant. The food was delicious. The stewed beef noodles were my favorite. It warmed my heart and filled my stomach. Papaya salad is favorite food in the world! I can never get tired of it but a lot of places aren’t that great. I can say the papaya salad here was delicious. I finished the whole plate all by myself. The servings were quite large. I got the moo yang thinking it was a small portion. I ate a small amount because I had to save space for the noodles. I had it for lunch the next day. Even more flavorful sitting in the marinade. The server was lovely and the atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing…maybe because it was raining too. I can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu.
Chomp Chomp is great. High quality food and some really fun appetizers. The staff is really friendly and if you order take-out it's a pretty quick experience. It's a tiny bit expensive but everything is these days.
It's a bit of a tight spot to dine in at, I would not go with more than 4 people. Nice work Chomp Chomp you guys are doing good.
The food is authentic and served in generous portions! Even with just two of us dining, we spent around $40 on 3 dishes and still had leftovers. And the man who serve us, TBH best service ever we had in NYC, extremely friendly.
Great lunch special! Came out quick and was tasty :)
