We will be Closed from January 14th to January 25th. 2024
Daniel was such a pleasure to be Served by. He is the owner, along with his wife. The food presentation and ingredients were top tier. The atmosphere was stunning with videos and sounds of various Thailand beach locations. They were voted top Long Island Thai Restaurant four years running and nominated for a fifth this year. I highly recommend coming here.
A Hidden Gem for Thai Food Lovers!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Thai restaurant, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance that perfectly balanced modern elegance with cozy charm.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely divine! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and the freshest ingredients. The Pad Thai was a dream—savory, slightly sweet, and loaded with texture. The Green Curry was rich and aromatic, with just the right amount of heat. And don’t even get me started on the Mango Sticky Rice—pure perfection!
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of the meal was perfect without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on food, atmosphere, and service all at once, but this spot nails it.
Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or just looking for a fantastic dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food! Authentic. They cater to my allergies which makes it very easy to enjoy the food knowing I’m safe. Love the owners and their son! I dine in and do delivery regularly. Def give this place a try! They just renovated the inside of their restaurant so you feel as if you’re in Thailand too!
When walking in you are embraced by vivid landscapes projected onto the walls from different locations in Thailand. This start off what will be one of the best Thai food experiences you can imagine. The food is incredibly authentic, fresh, and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend eating at Khamdee.
I wish I could give more stars than 5.
1- food is always amazing! Authentic & good portions.
2- service is always friendly the owner is always out front, interacting with guests and happy to explain. We said it was our birthday when we made the reservation and he remembered and made it really special
3 really clean
4 did I say how yummy the food is?? It deserves another shout out
Thank you for another great night
I have order takeout from here a few times in the past but decided to dine in with my wife.
The Green Curry and other curry entrees are some of the best we’ve had.
Presentation of all the dishes was very nice.
The server was also very attentive.
Some of the entrees were lacking the depth of flavors we had expected especially for the price.
For massapequa standards,
Khamadee Thai is a very good value, presentation, and flavor.
The other two Asian restaurants on Merrick road in massapequa is very very lacking on all the levels for the price.
We will be back for the Curry Entrees that is for sure😋
The food was fresh, delicious and the flavors and preparation were perfect. The staff was kind and accommodating. It is the best Thai restaurant I have found. I wholeheartedly recommend Khamdee Thai Kitchen and look forward to eating there again.
Fantastic, was looking for a new authentic Thai spot that was closer then going to SirPraPhi in Williston park. This place blew me away! Everything was delicious. The chive pancakes were spot on, chicken satay, Great peanut sauce. Main dish was crispy pork w/ Chinese broccoli, and masaman curry. Great customer service too. Will definitely be back.
Best Thai Restaurant last 4 years Woman who cooks every dish was trained at Udon Thani Rajibat University as a Culinary Thai Chef
My favorite restaurant , the owner and his wife are some of my favorite people and now that they serve cocktails it’s such a great experience, come with an empty stomach because the portions are insane and everything you can taste is made with love, ALSO I AM CELIAC AND THEY MAKE THE BEST GLUTEN FREE FOOD

Delicious food that didn’t disappoint! The spice in the papaya salad & the char flavor in the pad see ew is perfect! Cashew chicken was also delicious! The waiter & register person must be new but I can tell the owner is trying & training them. 😊😊😊
Great restaurant
Great place. Like the owner. Just be mindful they're closed Wednesday, I always go there on that day forgetting
Food gets better everytime I come here. Owner is very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. If you are celiac or gluten free, they have a lot of safe alternatives. Highly recommend.

Still the best Thai food in the area.
Best Thai food in the entire USA, top off with the most friendly owners. My family celebrate every special moment there because the food and service is so excellent
The most unprofessional, nasty, combative manager I have had an encounter with in my entire life. To be specific I didn’t get his name, he is working the night shift today 12/5/24 between the house of 1900 hours.I order through Uber eats the Khao Soi and when it was believed it was extremely sweet, like the cook emptied a pound of sugar in it, making the Khao Soi not edible. I have ordered from this restaurant before, so I’m familiar with how it’s usually prepared. I called the store to let them aware of this. A gentleman pick up the phone and he was really nice. He reported that I was calling to the manager. In the background, I could hear the manager going off being extremely unprofessional and nasty saying what she wants me to do. When the manager came on the phone, I try to explain to him about the food. He totally went off on me saying he doesn’t care. This is how it’s prepared if I don’t like it, to call back Uber. I mean this man totally lost it and went off on me. I told him I would write a review. He then replied you could bash me on social media you could bash me, I don’t give a shit I will respond and I will respond nasty. Then he proceeded to say he will tell the owner and the owner will react the same way. What! I disconnected the call because it was that terrible to be on the phone with this man while he was yelling. This is insane the level of lack of hospitality I received from this restaurant. I would not be ordering from there again. Really disappointed in how this Manager carried himself. Unprofessional lack of hospitality at its finest. I will be letting everyone I know in the neighborhood to not attend this restaurant or order from there. Totally unbelievable and disappointed. Wow!
Khamdee Kitchen is the best Thai I have ever had. There are places that are ok but none are as authentic. The owners wife is the chef and her talent in the kitchen is unmatched. Our favorite dishes are the Salmon Green Curry and Khao Soi. Definitely go in person they just redecorated the dining area and it’s lovely. You feel like you are in Thailand!! I have made it a weekly dine in experience. We love it!!
Whoever works the phone line for to-go orders, needs to take a CHILL PILL. I accidentally called the wrong restaurant and was trying to cancel my order asap. BUT he was extremely rude (so rude that my husband could hear him yell, and I wasn’t even on speakerphone)
He said he was trying to put me on hold, but I didn’t hear him or an automated message telling me I was on hold. On my end it sounded like my call wasn’t getting through, hence I kept trying until I reached him.
If you’re reading this, may you find peace, my friend :)
Your wife is a great cook man, don’t ruin it. This is what I was trying to tell you last night about the sticky rice before you started mansplaining to me like I’m some idiot. It’s probably DoorDash’s fault, but the bottom line is that’s what the description says for your sticky rice so that’s what I was expecting. It’s fine if it’s inaccurate, I’m not some jerk trying to pull one over on you. I know running a restaurant is hard but don’t berate your customers, especially one who’s trying to tell you what your menu says and will now save you future headaches after you fix it. You made me never want to order from you again even though I love the food. I’ll remove this review once a response is given.

Amazing food—I was literally angry it was so good and I don’t know how to make any Thai dishes. The owners were the sweetest people ever. Everything made to order. Can’t wait to go back.
Any dish - my brother enjoy’s Crispy Duck, enjoyed it. Excellent food. The live decor that Daniel and a team of set designers created is a perfect complement to the Chef, his award winning wifes creations. Thailand, is projected on the walls with beautiful music, a place they call home! *****great job Daniel and by the way, the lighting is perfect : )
Absolutely delicious, authentic food made to order with clean, conscious ingredients! A husband and wife team with a full immersive experience of videos from Thailand. The host is very friendly and exuberant… reminded us of Jack Black. Great big portions and very unique ambiance. ✨

The food is incredibly authentic, fresh, and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend eating at Khamdee.
The best! Absolutely amazing food, service and ambiance.
My wife and I both love Thai food in general. I usually wait to review a restaurant until I’ve eaten there several times. Khamdee Thai is the “GOAT” by far!!!
Absolutely fantastic! This restaurant offers the best authentic Thai food on Long Island. The flavors are rich and vibrant, perfectly capturing Thai cuisine. Highly recommend for anyone seeking genuine Thai food on Long Island!
Go here for Thai food, whether you need to eat gluten free or not! The online menu finally has the GF options labeled and boy are they amazing. The manager went out of his way to chat with me and I feel absolutely safe getting take out here with Celiac. This definitely will be our new go to spot, already dreaming about what my next order will be.
Phenomenal food, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Always very attentive to allergies/diet or sensitivities and very transparent. Great quality and timing on food, highly recommend to anyone looking for quality authentic Thai.
There's not enough words to describe how pleasantly and wonderful the owner treated my family and I. The food was really amazing and very tasty. Daniel, the owner, was so sweet and kind he gave our son a sweet baby elephant 🐘. Thank you for such an amazing time.
Food was fantastic!! Service was excellent. Definitely planning on going here again!
I've been coming here for a few years now and I absolutely love them. The food is made deliciousy and with high experience. I highly reccomend checking them out.

The chive pancakes were spot on, chicken satay, Great peanut sauce. Main dish was crispy pork w/ Chinese broccoli, and masaman curry. Great customer service too. Will definitely be back.
The food is great. The owner is great. The chef is great. Can’t go wrong.
Went for a birthday celebration. The food was tasty and not overly priced. Our server was also the owner and the chef's husband. He is definitely the conversational type when he has down-time which we liked.
My mom doesn't eat meat and went with the mock-duck, which she enjoyed.
I ate the drunken noodle [actual] duck dish which was delicious. Spiciness made to request.
I recommend parking in the rear, not on the street out front.
Everything perfect, I love this place.
Hands down the most authentic Thai spot on LI. High quality ingredients and isn’t sloppy or greasy like all the other places. Owner is a delight and Chef is on point. Finally a gem in Massapequa.
I ordered drunken noodles, pad thai, thai spring rolls, and thai iced tea. It was my first time.
The food quality was really great.
The owner of this restaurant was so nice and friendly.
So far this drunken noodles and pad thai are the best in Long Island.
I will definitely order more.
Highly recommended!!!!!
This restaurant has absolutely been my all time favorite Authentic Thai cuisine for a very long time. Staff members and owners are also Always welcoming, especially when there’s one singular culinary chef cooking everyone’s food all at once, so patience is certainly needed. Just went again last night w/ all my friends. I also wanted to mention there was a rude woman last night demanding for food… @shah. I remember her interrupting everyone’s meal by emphasizing her entitlement to be served food when in multiple cases were explained that the chef was catching up in all orders and how they were no longer taking anyone else’s orders for the rest of the night. My friends and I saw everything that went down between management and the oddly dramatic woman. I know for a fact that the owner tells everyone proudly how his wife single handily makes everyone’s order every night 7 days a week all the time. So the fact that this specific woman comments that she goes to this restaurant all the time is a lie because everyone that consistently goes to Khamdee either to Dine in or to take out already knows there is one person in the kitchen cooking. It’s the quality of the food that matters and the fact Wan Pen makes her food perfectly every time is outstanding. ❤️
I've been to this restaurant over 15 times - it used to be my favorite Thai place on LI, and I've taken multiple people as well. I've previously read reviews about the poor customer service, but had not experienced it myself prior to yesterday. On a Saturday night, we went in around 7:45, when the website listed a closing time of 8:45. Half of the tables in the restaurant were empty, but he said he wasn't seating anyone because they had an hour and a half delay - I said we didn't mind waiting (again - I used to love this place and have been over 15 times) and he started yelling at me about how busy he was and how his two phones were ringing off the hook. He had previously said he wasn't accepting take-away orders either, and then told me I could place a take-away order and return in 1.5 hours to pick it up. The way he spoke to me & raised his voice was so extremely disrespectful. And not only did he yell at me, he also yelled at his staff member about how busy they were. He said "that's what happens at a good restaurant, don't come back if you don't want to." I will absolutely NEVER be coming back. Good food does not make up for poor management and HORRIBLE customer service.
Went here for their Gluten Free options and WOW this place is amazing for anyone with celiac! We ordered soup & salad to start every bite was full of flavor! For our main we had the basil fried rice with fried tofu & vegetables & Pad Thai with chicken. Everything was delicious the service was excellent. Will be back soon!
Nice family-run restaurant.
My husband and I visited this restaurant after reading numerous good reviews about it on Google, and I must say, we loved it! There are no Thai restaurants in my Uniondale/East Meadow area so we were looking forward to it. This restaurant offers an exquisite range of authentic Thai food that captivates your palate in a way like never before. The menu had a great assortment of dishes. From the tangy chicken and spicy pork to the amazing mango salad, each dish showcased a perfect blend of different flavors that harmoniously worked together to deliver an excellent eating experience.
What really sets this restaurant apart is its impressive service. The owner Daniel was very attentive and accommodating, consistently ensuring that our dining experience was comfortable and pleasant. He also shared some info on Thai culture which was a nice bonus.
I usually refrain from offering reviews because I don't like to encourage long wait times at restaurants I like, but this place is too good to keep to myself. I will surely be coming back to dine in, as well as ordering takeout.
I have order takeout from here a few times in the past but decided to dine in with my wife.
The Green Curry and other curry entrees are some of the best we’ve had.

Very accommodating for gluten allergy.
Love it, great food. If you ask for very spicy they will do it!
BEST pad Thai I have ever had!! This place is a hidden gem! Must try!
one of the best Thai food I ever eaten in Long Island New York. We love it
great host .
The best Thai food I’ve ever had. Came here to try the chicken pad see ew and a Thai iced tea. Very authentic, and delicious. The service was fantastic. Thanks!
Good
The best authentic Thai dishes you will ever have. Love all the food. Try everything. The soups, apps, and main dishes. We had a great meal!! Keep up the good work!!!
Been eating here for years I have to say I will never come here again. The service is beyond unpleasant. The owner is overwhelmed due to a lack of staff (and has been for two years) and Takes it out on the customers. He canceled my order after I waited two hours for it and then try to blame it on the delivery service, then finally admitted that he did it because he just wanted to close and go home . Additionally, The quality of food has slowly deteriorated, to the point where it is disgusting, I had to leave a review, which I never do. Stay far away. There are plenty of other good options nearby.
Best Thai on the island!!!!
This was a recommendation from a colleague at work. I’ve only ever had take out however the food is brilliant and the staff are great each time we have come in to collect our food. I’ve tried a few places on Long Island and they’ve all been very disappointing. This place does not disappoint I promise.
Best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. Very, Very good.
The owner was nice and the food is delicious. Place is clean and cozy. Definitely will return.
So happy I found this restaurant. Coming from Queens I could not find a good Thai spot like I am used to. My daughter and I came in this evening and I wanted a very spicy tom yum soup and the chef did not disappoint. We also had the pad see ew and the curry puffs. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Cannot wait to come back and try the curries.
Food is excellent however one of their staff members has gone rogue and lacks service etiquette. Be careful with this place.
Edit: Calm down bud, it wasn’t that good.
very bad customer service the guy who attends is in a very bad mood.
Well, as he said, everyone can see how he treats customers. for the next put sign that says no children
Best Thai on Long Island. Owners came from real NYC Thai restaurant. Diamond in the ruff.
Our regular Thai restaurant stopped offering vegan duck, so we chose Khamdee Thai Kitchen because it was on their menu. The vegan duck and everything else we ordered were delicious, and all the vegetables were fresh. The lovely chef is an artist. The mango Thai iced tea was a truly amazing experience. Thanks to the friendly owner, who gave me a free cup to take home.
Delicious food. Good service. Family owned. Must try.
We were looking into eating something different and we found this awesome restaurant. I don't recall ever eating everything in our plates like we did here. I am sad I didn't take pictures of all the plates we ordered plus the free 2 Lava cake desserts that the owner and his Chef wife gave out boys, courtesy for first time comers.
Food is amazing! Best wonton soup I have ever had!
My husbands birthday was today. Last weekend we were in Florida and had pad Thai, kimchi, Korean bbq wings. He said I want to try Khamdee. The restaurant was clean and the owner, Daniel, was very hospitable and genuine. We learned a bit about the restaurant’s beginnings and when it is busy and their plans to expand the hours coming this May. He explained our dishes to us and all the plates were clean when we were finished. The food was healthy or as they now call it “clean” fresh, tasty and came out hot. My dish had 1 chili pepper and my lips were a singed when I was finished. We will definitely be returning!!! Thank you Daniel for a memorable meal and evening.
Had dinner there with my family last night. Food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be returning. 👍👍👍
Food is fantastic. I’d probably go there to try some things and then do take out moving forward. Most of the dishes aren’t very spicy but if you like that (I do) you can ask them to make it kick.
The best tasting and most authentic Thai food this side of the Mississippi River, by a long shot!!! This husband and wife team take really good care to ensure they serve the best. I strongly recommend this restaurant! Also Congrats to them for voted Long Island's Best Thai in 2022.
Been here a few times. At first really enjoyed it, but have had a few experiences subsequently that unfortunately were not the best.
Me and my Wife have Been Coming here for Years and I must say We love it here. They have the Best Thai Food we’ve had on the Island Handsdown. Come Hungry And I guarantee leave Full and Happy.
The staff is extremely pleasant and the food is absolutely delicious!
I called to ask if they can make the pad thai dish vegan and the owner got on the phone to help answer my questions. He was really great and the service was fast, too. We all enjoyed our dishes!
The crispy duck salad is superb!
I would have given this 0 stars but there was no option. At 6:05, I ordered Pad Thai and Coconut Chicken soup through Uber Eats. I received a message that it would be delivered by 6:45. At 7:25 I received a message from Uber that my order had been cancelled by Khamdee. I called to ask what was the problem and the owner said that the kitchen was too busy and they canceled my order. When I asked why he said he was cancelling all 3rd party orders and didn’t have to listen to me. He then hung up on me. Do not use this place for delivery from any source!!!
This place is fire. The food is not only excellent, but tastes much cleaner and fresher than dishes from other Thai spots I’ve tried. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing great food.
good food and service. papaya salad was amazing.
Living in south queens we have little to no Thai options close by. Been craving and happened to be on the island and we found this gem! I was so happy with every dish we got. We couldn’t decide between the chicken curry puff or the kra pow puff and the owner Daniel brought us both to try. They were delicious. We also ordered the basil fried rice, which was perfectly spicy & great, and pad see ew, again delicious. My cravings were truly satisfied! The owners are a husband and wife, the wife is a true authentic Thai chef and you can taste the authenticity in her food! We will be making the trip from queens more often!
I love Thai food and it’s hard to find a place that make all the Thai dishes very good . This place is that place . The owner and his wife are so friendly and the food is amazing ! Favorite Thai place on the island .
Very nice people and fabulous made to order Thai food. Amazing chef, delish
Husband and I have passed Khamdee a million times, but never had a chance to patron the place. EXCELLENT. Husband and wife - she's the authentic Thai chef - extremely talented, very helpful, accommodating, nice people whom you want to succeed. Food is outstanding! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. Phone's ringing off the hook with orders, so that a great sign!
This place had great tasting food and super friendly service. We will definitely be back to try more. The plating was incredible and gave the feeling of high end dining.
When we got home with the takeout, a half hour away, we noticed they accidentally left out the rice, which we needed to enjoy the curry. So, we went out to a local chinese place and got a white rice for $4.10. When we called to complain, the owner initially offered a credit for $2 (the cost of their rice) but upped it to $4. I believe they should have offered a credit for the price of the curry. If you order a steak and mashed potatoes from a restaurant, and they forget the potatoes, do they leave the steak in front of you while you wait a half hour for the potatoes, or do they make a new steak and potatoes?
Wow what a GEM if you love Thai Food or want to try for the first time. Such a wonderful couple own this restaurant.
After today, Khamdee has become my favorite Thai food restaurant. Not only does it have beautiful decor but the food and atmosphere is one of a kind.
My boyfriend and I got the Panang curry and chicken pad see ew. Both were beyond delicious. We were told the chef is from Thailand and you can tell in every bite you take.
I ordered the Pineapple Thai Shrimp last night and there were only two shrimps and a few tails of shrimp in my order. For $21 I think there should be a lot more shrimp. When I called today and complained to the owner he said he didn’t believe me because it’s only he and his wife that work there and his wife said she puts seven shrimp in this dish. I told him again that there were only two shrimp in the dish. I also said the customer is always right and I wouldn’t be returning and he said that’s ok. I cannot believe what awful customer service I received from him! I guess he really doesn’t care about retaining customers and keeping a strong business in this community!
The food, along with the customer service here is excellent! I lived in Thailand so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. Every dish was above average. The chef is a Thai woman so you know the food is authentic. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Nassau now. Highly recommend.
I went there with my mother a couple weeks ago. The place is very nice. The owners are very friendly. I ordered pad see ew. It was so good. I asked if a Thai person is cooking and it was the owner that cooked it. She is an amazing chief. I can’t wait to go try papaya salad there.
Excellent authentic delicious Thai cuisine!
It's my new favorite take out! The owner is super nice and the food is consistent and always amazing! I've never had Thai food before and I am blown away. My daughter has had Thai food from different places and says that this place is top notch!
Food is pretty good and would get 5 stars. But 1 star because the management/owner is rude. Called for pick up order was answered rudely "we're too busy to take your order call later" and then slammed the phone down.
For starters owner/management need to remember it is your customers that make your business successful. Especially your regular customers. We order at least twice a week. It doesn't matter how much the order is...$20 or $100.... all customers should be treated with the same respect. Especially in this day when restaurants and businesses are recovering from the pandemic and a hurting economy. I would think you would be nicer to ALL your customers. As much as we enjoy the food here, such rudeness from the owner /management is a major turn off. If you are going to be exasperated by orders that keep your business afloat, and take it out on other customers, then I suggest hiring a bit of help. Such a shame we really liked the food here, but will be taking it off our list of go to's and faves based on the rudeness.
I’ve tried a lot of Thai places on Long Island and this is by FAR the best. The food is consistently delicious, fresh and well prepared. I will be returning here again soon!
Wow! A true gem hidden in Massapequa Park. Food and drinks were amazing! If you love Thai food this is the spot for you. Owners are sweet and caring. Watch out for the spice tho! We ordered Pad See Ew & Ginger Tong. Great flavors, you can tell it was made with lots of love. Will definitely be back ♥️
love this place! food is amazing every time!
My home away from home. Truly authentic Thai. The duck is melt in your mouth. Nothing bad about this place.
EXCELLENT Pad Kee Mao. I will be back!
Tried the green curry which was perfect.. not everyone can do curries and this one was full of flavor with the right amount of heat, basil fried rice and spring rolls today, everything was fresh and so delicious! We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, he was super nice! This will be our new go to Thai spot.
This place is amazing! The food is out of this world and the chef knocks the dishes out of the park EVERY TIME! But to match the amazing food the customer service is top notch! The owner has always made my wife and I feel so important. We will never try another Thai place in this area!!!
Delicious Thai food. We had the Tom Yum soup with shrimp, basil chicken, and red curry cashew chicken, all of which were delicious.
We used to live in NYC where there were lots of great Thai restaurants. Much harder to find as you go east. Lots of pan-Asian or Asian fusion places around here have Thai food on the menu but they lack flavor. This place serves real Thai food. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The sauces were full of flavor with just the right about of basil and chili spice. The whole meal was great. We will be going back.
If you like Thai food give this place a shot!
Great food!
Hands down the best Thai food we’ve had! The takeout was hot and super fresh, flavors amazing! They were also so accommodating when it came to a food allergy in my home. Will definitely return soon!
Great food!
I'm going to try and work my way through the whole menu but my definite go to is the green curry. Incredibly tasty and comforting in this cold weather. I've only ordered take-out so far and the customer service has been super-friendly.
We ordered lunch at work and I loved my green curry (thai spicy). I loved it so much that next day I went with my husband and son to dine in for my birthday. We had amazing experience. There are a lot of thai food places but I feel like only few have the flavor in their food. Khamdee is my new go to Thai place. Definitely try at least once coz that experience will make you go there again. Oh and fried chicken dumplings had nice crisp to it. They not only tasted but even looked very appealing.
I have been eating here roughly once a week for the past 5+ months and have never been disappointed. The owner as well as other staff are always friendly, the food is prepared quickly and always full of good flavor. My go to is the Green Curry Chicken which has the perfect amount of heat. Other staples are great as well such as Chicken Shumai, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles. This is a great local spot and I’m glad to have them so close!
Went there with my boyfriend for the first time & food was amazing and owner was a delight. Every dish was awesome will definitely be ordering again!
Loved the red snapper fried fish! We did a pick up and enjoyed everything to the last bite. The owner was so nice and happy to make sure we enjoyed the meal. Can’t wait to order again
Super friendly staff. The Khao Soi was delicious and had a unique flavor. I would have liked more chicken in the dish though. The curry puffs were great. Thanks!
Good food and service
Delicious food
In a town known for their Italian and Jewish population, you don't have to travel to Manhattan or fly to Chiang Mai to find authentic Thai Cuisine. Fortunately, Khamdee is strategically located on the South Shore of Long Island, just a few minutes west of the Suffolk County border line
Took my wife here for dinner and it was 110% amazing. we loved the food and cannot wait to come back. the food came quick and was phenomenal. The staff was just as amazing very friendly super sweet makes you want to come back everyday. Can't wait to come back again.
My friends and I had a delicious lunch at Khamdee Thai Kitchen on Merrick Road in Massapequa. We all ordered off of the lunch menu. You have your Choice of starter, Appetizer & entree. I had a delicious Thai tea, tasty spicy shrimp soup and perfectly crispy Thai spring rolls (3). For the entree I had the pad Thai with shrimp. It is one of my favorite dishes and this was the best I’ve had. The food was Very fresh and portions were generous. My friends all ordered something different and we all agreed it was the best meal we had this summer. The owner and his wife (who is also the cook) were very friendly and the service and atmosphere were wonderful.
If you love Thai food and are looking for a new place, definitely give it a try!
Beware of incredibly rude ownership and management.
One of the rudest experiences I've ever had in Long Island. Asked a simple delivery question and was met with an absolutely unnecessary level of maliciousness and anger. I really don't understand this type of behavior if you're trying to run a business, especially during Covid-19?
I inquired about delivery, and all they really needed to say was "that's too far" (I live about two towns away) and I would have said, "ok, thank you!" And it would have been over with. Instead they try to charge me $100 for delivery with an incredibly sarcastic and rude tone.
Based on their attitude, this type of place will take your credit card info and probably try to charge you double, hoping you won't notice. Beware.
The service was good the food was salty but was replaced by the same dish which was excellent. Highly recommend this place.
Many years ago worked in Thailand for a year. After leaving Asia I have scoured 3 continents looking for decent Thai food. The closest I have found was after migrating to America and another Thai restaurant in Long Beach. For the last couple of years this has been my go-to for Thai.
However...
We found Khamdee. And yes this is the best Thai I have ever had outside of Thailand. Bar none.
THIS IS THE THAI PLACE TO GO TO!
After living in Thailand for the past 15 months, I was craving some authentic Thai food.
Ordering Khamdee Thai Kitchen I had no idea what to expect, but the reviews had been amazing. Sure enough, it was beyond that! The owners of Khamdee Thai Kitchen are absolutely incredible, friendly people. The Head Chef/Owner is from Thailand and her recipes are as authentic as they come.
The service is great and the food is delicious, fresh, and full of flavor!
Definitely recommend!
P.S. Try the Thai tea! It's a favorite!
The food is excellent, best real Thai food on long island. My kids love it , even the picky eaters. Thai ice tea is the best I've ever had. So far all the dishes I had, which were almost the whole menu, were the best tasting food I've had in a long time. Its addicting, you will keep going back! Great for the whole family!! Definitly walk in and at least try it, i guarantee you will love it!!
The former Nara Thai Has closed and reopened under new ownership as Khamdee Thai kitchen about 3 weeks ago, a husband and wife operation according to the host Daniel. We are always looking for great thai and found it here, especially great duck salad and entrees. We got ours to go so the photos of our pad thai, fried rice and duck salad don't do justice to the dishes, so I only included the pic of Crispy Chinese Pork (yum!) but the dishes were delicious. We will return for dine in and take out again ASAP!
Absolutely love this place ! It is so hard to find good Thai food and I’m so happy this place is super close to my home. I’ve had takeout and have dined in and both experiences were top notch. The staff is always so friendly and the dishes I’ve had were delicious (basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice with shrimp). Thanks for providing great service and food !
This restaurant is outstanding! I have been on the search for good Thai food locally and have finally found it. The staff is so kind and friendly, and the food was just as good! My dad and I went for dinner and shared, shrimp rolls and fried silom dumplings to start and then I had tamarind duck (WOW) and he had a noodle dish also delicious. Will definitely be coming back here and ordering takeout in the future. Would highly recommend dining here... the restaurant is also beautifully decorated.
Found this place on a whim. It happened to be their 15th day in business, and boy did we luck out. The food is so authentic and incredible. The service is amazing. We met the owner and learned about his mother in laws sauces and the authentic veggies used. I will be back for sure. The environment is wonderful and definitely worth coming!!!
I had both chicken and pork dumplings and they were phenomenal! Very authentic!
The Pad thai was amazing, tasty and the serving size was extremely generous.
Aside from the incredible food I so much love the decor and ambiance! The servers were accommodating and friendly!
If you enjoy Thai food, this is the place to dine!
Delicious and authentic. So glad we have a real thai restaurant in Massapequa.
One of the best Thai places in long island, and possibly the east coast, all their food is authentic and top notch
This is new spot to go for Thai food . The food excellent and the service was wonderful. I love the Pad Thai and the curry . My husband and I was enjoyed it . Really recommend.
