My family’s favorite restaurant here. Thai food is authentic! Sweet and courteous staff. Amazing beautiful and delicious dishes. I am never disappointed. I love the pumpkin curry dish, bangok chicken, and curry fried rice! Dessert def get the thai donuts and sticky rice with mango (if it is in season).
My first time here and can honestly say this one of the best Thai foods I've had in a long time. Portion was ok (have had larger for same price at other thai restaurants), and taste was excellent, delicious, and left a sweet lingering taste in my mouth. From the outside, you couldn't tell how nice and spacious it is in here, but from the moment you open the door, you feel this warm, cozy, relaxing ambiance draw you in. Will be back to try my other favorite dishes, but this one was a great hit. Definitely recommend checking the place and dishes out.
We stopped for dinner on the way back from a day of skiing. We were able to order beforehand on phone and the food was brought in promptly. The service otherwise was quite good and prompt and friendly. The restaurant interiors are inviting and the murals and the decorative walls are beautiful. The vibe here if wonderful.
Food was good too. Nothing out of the ordinary, but very good comfort food.
I love this place. Food is delicious and affordable. Workers are really nice. Deserves to be more popular. I love the Scallion Pancake for appetizer, sweet and sour tofu for entree, and banana spring rolls for dessert. Also the Thai Iced Tea is really good.
Delicious food, pleasant ambiance, very friendly staff! They made me feel like they genuinely wanted my business. I ordered two meatless dishes and they warned me that the soup contained fish sauce-- excellent attention to food restrictions. Love this place, it's my new favorite Thai restaurant!!
The food here is delicious. We got the seafood soup and crab fried rice. It was so yummy. The staff is also very friendly. Has a nice relaxing atmosphere.
Wonton soup for $5.95 is a tough call in terms of value. I believe there were 3 wontons and 1 tail-on shrimp. Might have only been 2 wontons, I might have split one as I attempted to pick it up with the spoon. The wontons were small and fell apart easily.
However, the broth and vegetables were fantastic. The wontons and shrimp were good, but the star is the broth. Loved the flavor, just a little disappointed in the serving size.
I know, everything has gone up in price, and it's either raise the price, or cut the portion, I know. Still, felt kinda chincy on the portion.
The entree is garlic and black pepper sauce with chicken. Delicious. The chicken is wide cut and the portion is acceptable for $13.95, which includes white/jasmine rice.
Sauce is a little thin, but that's how it's supposed to be, it's not a thick cornstarch-laden sauce like most of our Americanized Chinese food.
The sauce is light, the veg is cooked well, soft without being limp, and the chicken was tender and not stringy.
I loved the food, I just question the value. For the near $22 I paid for the I'm satisfied, but not ecstatic.
I bet 5 years ago if this place was around (I don't if it was), prices were lower and this place should have been killing it. Thank you Biden for the inflation.
The best thai food in this area , I had pad thai noodles and my mom got her kao soi so delicious and staff are very friendly
Our first time there. Food was absolutely great. Service was super friendly and quick. Looking forward to eating there many times in the future. I was truly impressed.
Staff was a little rude

Halal chicken options so it's a great place if you love good Thai and want someone other than just the seafood options.
I appreciate they let you adjust the spice levels too.

Absolutely amazing here!! I have been looking for a good Thai place in the capital region and was not one inkling of disappointed. I wish I had come here sooner, I had heard about it but never made the trek, and I’m so glad I did. The ladies here are so sweet and obviously a community favorite. I will definitely be coming back 🥰

I absolutely love Tamarind! Easily the best Thai food in Latham.
It really hit me when I realized just how sad I was when they closed for a few weeks to give their employees time off.
Go-to lunch spot in Latham for me. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let that fool you. The food is delicious and fresh and the service is excellent. I love the massaman curry and the pad thai. Always get a Thai iced tea when I’m there as well. Sweet little under the radar place.

My daughter and I stopped by this unassuming little restaurant this evening and were happily surprised with both the quality and quantity of the entree we shared. The chicken teriyaki with white rice was the right balance of sweet and spicy, the carrots, broccoli and baby corn accented the dish nicely too. We tried the Arnold Palmer which is a mixture of iced tea and lemonade. It was a bit too sweet for me and if I order it again, I will try it with less sugar. The prices were less than I expected and that was a nice surprise in these days of expensive restaurant prices. Because we ate only the one dish I feel the need to sample more of the menu before giving 5 stars. The decoration is plain but the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Other diners appeared to be regulars and that makes me believe that the other offerings in the menu will be as delicious as the one we ate. Can't wait to go back!
I've been here twice now and both times were excellent! We came for lunch both times, the service was very good each time. The food is delicious and their menu has options for everyone. Absolutely recommend!!
One of the finest Thai curry we ever had. We tried Pineapple curry. Rice noodles were also worth trying. We felt the quantity was little less for the price but still would go for the flavors.
Great food and friendly service. A hidden jem in Latham.
I loved their fried rice so much. The girl that served us was very nice. The place is also pretty and clean.
Best Thai food in capital district.

We just tried it for the first time. Outstanding! We are looking forward to come back.keep up the good work..
To die for! Absolute perfect food prep. Pleasant workers. Attentive but not overbearing as we took our time looking at the menu.
This place seems to get super busy but everyone is super nice. I think the food is tasty enough to wait a little extra for!
One of the best Thai places around, especially their noodle soups! The Thai noodle soup with chicken can't be beat on a cold winter day
Insanely good service and food quality. Great place to dine in or order. If you haven't tried Thai, try this place. You won't regret it. I suggest the prik king/tom yum fried rice
This place is a gem. One of the best Thai places in the Albany area. My go-to choice is none other than pad thai. It's my favorite on their menu. It has the classic wok-hei flavor and tamarind/fishy/savory sauce that's just makes me keep wanting to come back. I highly recommend this spot to those that want classic Thai food.
Undercooked rice noodles were chewy and hard to swallow didn't want to ask to remake just won't go back. Not the first time.
If I ever want Thai food in the Capitol region, I always go here. Best Thai food around and a lovely place to eat.
My husband and I were very impressed by the yellow curry! We ordered it with chicken, and couldn’t believe how flavorful it was. Honestly, we found ourselves wishing we had more the next day. Definitely a dish we’ll order again!
Tasty Thai food

This place is terrific! The staff are very friendly and the service is truly exceptional. As one who knows and cooks Thai food, I can assure you that the Tom Yum and Tom Kha are authentic, complex, and balanced. The Pad Thai was also nicely balanced and flavorful. If you want extra Thai chili pepper or hot sauce, they will happily accommodate you! Flavorful, rich flavors but not overpowering, this is a comfortable restaurant that you will enjoy if you are looking for Thai food.
Delicious pho.
Good food however service can be slow.
Worst customer service
Just got takeout , food was great portions good and priced nice
It was so good. The Thai basil with chicken, yummy. The fried ice cream was the perfect ending.
This place is great! We go all the time for lunch when shopping in Latham. The food is always hot and amazing. Service is fast and friendly. The scallion pancakes are the best!!!
FRIENDLY,, nice dishes. Great CHOICES. TASTY.
This was unexpected and delicious. The food is high quality and authentic. The service is friendly and equally authentic. If you try Thai food in different places and feel it’s not authentic, you will not feel that way here. It’s a great place!
One woman served everyone and she flawlessly handled 12 tables with no one wanting. Kay was amazing and truly impressive. The food was sooo good. I am now going to go curl up like a snake and digest.
Great food.
One of the best places in the region for Thai food. The food is absolutely delicious and you get generous servings of everything. They did seem to take a long time to get the entrees out but it could have been just an off day occurrence. Recommend the soup options especially as an entree or an appetizer to serve 4 people.
Food was great! Definitely recommend!
Excellent food. Quaint and intimate location with wonderful service. Absolutely recommend!
Pad thai was amazing! Thai iced tea was also great!
got take-out 1-Pad See Ew and 1-Pad Thai to split with 3 people. We got mild but asked for extra spice for those who like more heat. Both were very, very good. I have found a new Thai Restaurant after Thai Thai Bistro closed in Niskayuna.
Absolutely delicious Pad Thai Chicken and Chicken Pad See Ew.
We got it to go and it was fast, reasonably priced, and very, very good!
Best Thai food in Albany hands down. Everything is extremely fresh and well-seasoned, generous portions, reasonably priced. Tom kha is the best you’ll ever have with generous amounts of fresh seafood. The menu is unpretentious with solid and authentic thai selections. You can choose a spice level with everything you order. You must try the mango sticky rice.
Food was amazing and served was great. Everytime we visit from NYC we come to get food at least 2 times
Food was very good but nothing exceptional. That being said we would return again to try different options. Portions were on the small side.
Food was amazing. I can't stop thinking or talking about the duck soup. By far the best dish I have had in a long time! The duck Scallion pancakes and summer rolls are also amazing and must try! I would eat here everyday if I could.
Great flavors and good price lunch specials.
Food was great 👍. Can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend!!
Best Thai place in Albany
I love their chicken pad Thai and banana spring rolls. The food is great. It's definitely worth trying out.
Cute little family owned place with a great vibe and food! I always get the khao soi, papaya salad, and the egg rolls. They have lots of other good stuff too! Highly recommend this place.
the pad thai tastes like siracha sauce
Good Thai Food! Friendly service, warm atmosphere.
It is true, this is maybe the best Thai restaurant in the area. Feels almost like a hidden gem. Oftentimes the other place down the road is fully packed, and at Tamarind, where the food is just as good if not better, almost all tables are available. Locals are well aware of this place though, and there is a constant stream of people stopping by for their takeout. The food is great, and affordable, service is great too. Compare Tom Yum soup at Tamarind with what they serve at another Thai-food place in Clifton Park -- at Tamarind they give you two shrimps, and bunch of vegetables and mushrooms in the bowl; but at the other place it is mostly water and just one shrimp. Be aware though, this is a more authentic Thai food, so if you ask for "medium hot" it will be much spicier than in other westernized Thai restaurants, but I like it this way better.
Favorite Thai place since moving to the area. Pineapple FR, any of the curries, Tom yum noodle soup, Tom yum FR, Thai iced tea, mango sticky rice, scallion pancake, all delishhh
Great spot.
The prices are good and the chicken pad Thai was amazing!
Also the yellow curry was sooooo good.
Went on a Sunday night around 7pm. Only us and another couple in the restaurant.
Great hospitality and experience.
Btw the Thai donut and fried ice cream desserts were AMAZING!
Not the best Thai ever but pretty good. Small amount meat on my dish and was very fatty but overall good place. Good prices and very nice staff
Love 😘♥️ and food is to die for ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great crazy noodles!
Worst vegetarian options
Never disappoints! Wonderful food, great service and the server remembers exactly what I like!
I came from Florida I just moved here but I was in a time crunch and lived far from here I let the woman know I would be late after they closed she waited for me and didn’t make my fried ice cream until we walked in the door not to mention the food was so delicious 🤤 I am satisfied and will deff come back thanks so much 💯
Excellent food, friendly and hard working staff. Definitely the place to go!
Great Thai food. We dined in on a Saturday night. The place was half full. Went to the counter and asked to be seated. We got the Tom kha soup and wonton soap to start. I recommend both. I recommend medium spicy on the Tom kha with shrimp. It's was creamy and flavorful. For the main course I we got the Thai fried rice and crazy noodles with chicken. Both of them were good. Highly recommend the crazy noodles. The service was not great. We didn't get silverware or tissues when we sat down. The food also took a while may be because the kitchen was busy with online and takeout orders. Overall great food but wish the service was a better and quicker.
Wonderful friendly staff. A lovely restaurant with nice music and wonderful Thai food. I highly recommend it. The Pad See Ew, Papaya salad and Summer rolls were great quality and delicious.
After recently, returning from Thailand, we thought we would give Tamarind a try and were pleasantly surprised how authentic the food is
Soup was delicious
Tamarind Thai Resteurant was good. Service Excellent.. Atmosphere Nice, prices average . We had curry, I had Panang Curry and Wife had yellow curry. Both dishes had Great taste but they lacked curry sauce ot was just a bit on he dry side...
The food was delicious and the server was so friendly and welcoming. It was a nice atmosphere as well, to enjoy lunch with my mom.
I placed a take-out order online and paid for it in advance. They told me they never received it and we’re not willing to resolve the issue. My credit card was charged. Needless to say, I think they are terrible!
Good
Fantastic vegetarian options! pad see ew with vegetables and red pumpkin curry with soft tofu. Medium spicy … sooo good!!
Delicious food. The chicken is halal and there is a great variety of dishes.
One of the best Thai restaurant in the area. Lots of options to choose from for both vegetarian and non vegetarians.
The spring roll, dumplings and edamame were freshly made and tasted great.
Thai basil fried rice with veegie and tofu and other one with chicken was good. Even the chicken curry was good. The portion size is generous. They were able to accommodate our requests
The fried ice cream was the highlight, totally loved it. It was best fried ice cream we had ever had. Worth trying it!
A small thai restaurant with some good thai Food around this area.
The restaurant was not busy when we went. The food was good. Service was fast too.
The spring roll, dumplings and edamame which was our appetizer came out good.
For entree we had thai basil fried rice with veegie and tofu and other one with chicken was good. Even the chicken curry was good. The portion size is good as well.
The fried ice cream was the highlight, totally loved it. It was best fried ice cream we had ever had. Worth trying it!
Tamarind thai makes the best pad thai within 100 miles. We've ordered it about five times at this point and the flavor and texture is always perfect. If you like pad thai, it is a must try.
Other dishes are great, too... though whoever wraps their summer rolls is definitely struggling (they are basically held together by gravity against the plastic container and fall apart the moment you touch them, but are tasty and fresh enough as a salad)
The dine in experience is pretty meh, but the food is totally worth the trip! We absolutely recommend getting the food as takeout.
Must visit if you're around the area!
Excellent Thai food, with large portions! Spicy options of mild, medium, and hot (even that wasn't extremely spicy). Flavorful curry, crunchy fried potstickers. I loved the Bankok Chicken!
I’ve tried as many Thai places as I can in the capital region, as it is one of my favorite Asian cuisines. Tamarind is definitely in the top of my favorite places. No nonsense spice here so if you love the heat as much as I do, you will thoroughly enjoy this restaurant. Too many Thai places don’t go hard enough on the heat, but I’m glad I found a place that does. Of course you can order your meals to not be as spicy, so no worries for those who do not tolerate it as well. Give this place a try! Super fair pricing and the food is worth every cent.
Absolutely delicious. I've only had two dishes here: the roast duck and the duck soup, but both were unbelievably tasty.
Old dry fish, nothing to interesting altough presentation was pretty.
Their chicken is halal so it was a treat for us. Lovedddd the food! Fried rice were amazing. We will try other items soon!
Ordered veggies rainbow, very little veggie, one small piece of green bean, one piece of celery, one piece broccoli, two small slices of carrots. Ask them about it, they said when you add chicken the veggie portion got cut. But didn’t they charge extra for chicken already? This definitely doesn’t worth $10.
Good quality Thai food, fresh ingredients and cooked to order. I ordered read and yellow curries, a couple of salads and the veggie spring rolls. Everything tasted good. Definitely ordering again and highly recommend it.
Lovely soups, dumplings were so good!
A hidden gem, great food with huge servings.
This restaurant is one of the best Thai restaurants you can find near Albany NY. So what makes it different for Indian taste? Especially, me being a food lover I like duck, tilapia and shrimp Thai dishes. The restaurant may not look very sophisticated but definitely the chef and kitchen are really good! Give a try and you won’t go wrong in your decision.
Love the basil fried rice. Appreciate the extra egg everytime..
I always have a good meal there and owners/staff are very nice
Authentic Tasty food, Pleasant service, reasonably priced, neat and clean place, respected our vegetarian needs. Loved the place. Will visit again.
Our food experience was outstanding..
I have tried there pineapple curry combo and there mango curry combo.. TO DIE FOR... And for dessert Thai Donuts...
If you like Thai food.. Don't come here.
If you love Thai Cuisine.. Definitely check this place.. A Triple D Must....
This place is the best. I have been to a couple other Thai spots in Latham. But this the ONE! I had a pumpkin curry the first time I ever ordered from there . That one dish hooked me. Now I order anything and everything. You can eat in , and I have. Nice sit down restaurant. The people appreciate your business . For some strange reason finding business owners that know how to treat paying customers is rare nowadays. I will keeping coming back here for as long as I can .
Delicious! I was here for the first time a couple weeks ago and I’m still thinking about the Penang curry! It was flavorful and filled with generous portions of vegetables and chicken. Great to see another wonderful Thai restaurant in the area!
Went for lunch and again another delightful experience eating
Thai food. We had Chicken in yellow curry very spicy and rice noodles combination along with vegetables spring rolls and Thai ice tea. My girlfriend is allergic to peanut as Thailand eateries are known for nuts. But she got her food without and she really enjoyed. Thanks for the service...
The chicken BEST pad thai!! Love this place. They're always so kind and the food is consistently great!
This was an incredible stop on a road trip, and I’m sure would be even better for locals who can come here more often!
Good variety, friendly service. The noodles were delicious and spicy, and the Thai soup broth was wholesome and filling. Thanks so much!
Yum
This place is AH-MAY-ZIINGGG!! So unexpected! I decided to try them because there were some good reviews and didn't have expectations because it was Latham NY and we have eaten at myriad Thai spots in most major culinary cities in the US. The building from the outside looked unassuming, and the inside was nicely done. But the food! Oh it was so good. They have a very passionate and unique take on many Americanized Thai dishes. The flavors were nuanced and creative. They have a huge section of their menue\ dedicated to the glory of duck (with good reason) which I rarely feel motivated to order at most Thai restaurants. Major shoutouts to their Tom Yum Fried Rice (!!) and, surprisingly, their Pad Thai --wasn't the usual peanut heavy flavored cloying sweetness you get everywhere. I grew up in the capital region and was there helping my parents move out of their 40 year home and have little reason to be back in the area, but might swing wide sometime just to get more from Tamarind Thai!
Yellow curry was a big disappointment. Thin and soupy, not enough add-ins to even see them when the full container was sitting on the table.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff.
Best Thai food in the whole area!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food was outstanding, the server was the best, smiling, great table manner, we got there for dinner a bit late, but she opened up for us. Blessings to her. Thank you.
The foods are delicious! Everything on the menu is good and the people are always so kind! I love coming here, this is the best Thai restaurant in the capital region!
I decided to try this place since I was waiting for my vehicle to be serviced across the street. The lunch specials looked delicious and I ordered two appetizers-papaya salad and some crispy tofu with peanut sauce. Excellent service and flavorful dishes.
very disappointed
Food was great as always.
Amazing food. My new favorite place to eat.
Good food, great service. Ordered the pot stickers, tom yum, fried ice cream, thai tea, spicy basil fried rice. Recommend each one.
Love this place!!! Best Thai food in upstate New York!! Such kind people too ❤❤❤
Sooooo good. Everything tastes fresh.
The Chicken Panang was delicious!
