When in Bangkok definitely surprised me! I came here for dinner and first of all the interior is so pretty and I loved the bamboo decor. The ambiance is quiet and not rowdy. But let's get into the best part...the FOOD! Literally everything I ate was delicious. So much flavor and I can taste the authenticity of the thai cuisine. Wings were crispy and the lamb was sooo tender. I will definitely be back here!!!!!
From the outside you won’t think they have that many seating. We made reservations which helps a lot. The place was packed, but the services were still good. All the appetizers were delicious and fast. I would skip the pineapple duck, the sauce was good, but duck itself can be better. Surprisingly the best dishes I enjoyed the most were the fresh oysters and pandan coconut sticky rice. Overall it’s a Thai restaurant outside Flushing area.
Best Thai place in Queens period, if not top in all of NYC. The food was tasty, the potion was large and the services were awesome. Price is also reasonable. I accidentally came in during the restaurant week so I got to try that out for $30 but the rest of my family got just dinner dishes. They only have street parking so come a bit early and the restaurant isn’t that big but it worth a try. Definitely coming back again.
The food is incredibly tasty and authentic, with friendly service to match. While it is on the pricey side, I highly recommend trying the lunch specials for a better value. The crispy duck was slightly dry, but overall it was a wonderful meal, especially considering the generous portions. Highly recommended!
When in Bangkok is a cute, aesthetic place and my go-to Thai spot whenever I am in Flushing. I have been here a few times for various occasions. They offer lunch specials and Happy Hour from Monday to Friday. The food is authentic and delicious. Their crab fried rice and Tom Yum soup are my favorites. They include a generous amount of crab meat in chunks! The fried rice is flavorful, especially with the sauce that comes paired with it. Their cocktail menu is unique, thoughtfully crafted with a blend of different flavors. The service is amazing. They also have an outdoor patio and a space for large parties and events upstairs.
Amazing decor and ambiance. Service is great!
We flew into NY for the day just to eat. I did my research before hand and I really wanted to try the Thai tea roti.
The restaurant was small but cute, service was great. We started off with some cocktails and our favorite was the spicy babydoll, we had a few of those. We were pretty full from eating through the day, now we wish we would’ve ordered more food. We got the oysters and it was so good, so was their seafood sauce and toppings that went on it. We were really impressed by the Thai tea roti and they make their ice cream in house.
Sucks there’s nothing like that here in Nashville.
When in Bangkok brings a simple, yet elegant aura as you dine in on some of the most amazing Thai food there is out there. The chicken wings, and lamb I had were very tender. The Thai curry and fried rice I had was filled with flavor beyond my expectations based on other Thai cuisines I’ve had. The drinks I had tasted as good as they looked as well. I highly recommend anyone giving When in Bangkok a try, and I can’t wait to visit here again.
Everything was delicious and the place has a clean look. Honestly I can’t choose a favorite thing from the menu because everything was so tasty. From drinks to appetizers to entrees and even desserts. The mango mousse and thai tea roti were just the right amount of sweet.
I had the worst food poisoning of my life from this place! They give dirty old meat in their noodles. I only eat one meal a day, I had their noodles and immediately my stomach was twisting. Later on in the night my eyes rolled to the back of my head and I could not stop vomiting. I’m in the hospital still vomiting their beef and noodles.
Disgusting workers and disgusting food, stop being cheap and using old rotting meat!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on Friday and ordered off the restaurant week 3-course menu. It was maybe the best meal I have ever had at a restaurant. We absolutely loved every dish that we shared.
- cho muang
- mixed seafood and chicken coconut curry with rice cakes
- grilled cuttlefish
- pork belly with stir fried vermicelli noodles
- ekamai all night cocktail
- coconut pandan sundae
- thai tea basque cheesecake
The amount of disappointment I felt after the Thai tea basque cheesecake was brought to me. I enjoyed eating at this restaurant previously and once I saw Thai tea basque cheesecake on the restaurant menu, I knew I had to order it, even if it meant I had to order something else other than pad thai (the dish I always order at a Thai restaurant). Little did I know, this basque cheesecake was the worst and smallest slice of cheesecake I’ve ever had and for it to be worth $15?! (The difference in pricing between a 2-course for lunch at $30 and 3-course for dinner at $45). Literally insane. Tastes like a cheesecake from the grocery store lmao. Could’ve taken that $15 and buy an actual basque cheesecake that actually taste good. Anyone could make a better cheesecake than that small slice with like the tiniest hint of Thai tea flavor.
Edit: (to respond to their reply) - slower hours for lunch? I went during the slowest hours of dinner when there was no one. Lunch would’ve just been as empty. So for me, it definitely felt like the cheesecake was $15. If I knew it was that small and such a disappointment, I wouldn’t even have done restaurant week menu. $14 for appetizer and $25 for entree? Pulling numbers out of nowhere.
The food here is absolutely so delicious. I’ve never had a bad dish from here. I would recommend coming for lunch or happy hour because the dinner portion doesn’t seem to be different from the lunch portion. The oysters with the sauces they offer are insanely delicious. The cocktails are strong and very good. Spicy babydoll is my go to! I love the cashew nut dish, there’s so many cashews and juicy fresh pineapple(not canned). The pad Kee Mao is so spicy and flavorful, the wide rice noodles are SOOO GOOOOD. This is one of my husband and I’s go to spots. I tell everyone about how good it is. The ambiance is so beautiful too, a perfect afternoon date spot or for meeting friends. I would eat here everyday until I got tired of the menu haha! This is the best Thai spot in Flushing in my opinion, and I’ve tried all the Thai spots that I know of! I’ve never had a problem with the service here, the ladies are always so nice and the food comes out hot and fast. I highly recommend! The reviewer talking about this not suiting Korean palates must have the taste buds of a rock because my Korean friends love this place.
It was cool very friendly staff will be going back!

The food was just average, but there was no service when my family of four ate there for lunch. When the bill arrived, they suggested a minimum tip of 18%. Even when they brought the credit card machine to our table, it only allowed tip options starting at 18%. I felt forced to leave an 18% tip, even though I didn't receive any good service.
Thai food is here good. Lovely staff members here too!
The location was pleasant, and the food was delicious; however, the service was unfortunately quite poor, as the food arrived without serving spoons.
This was such a treat. Tons of pros with a few cons but definitely will return. We ordered a few different dishes. The steamed sea bass was EXCEPTIONAL. So fresh and cooked perfectly. The Thai fried rice with duck was really good however the duck was a bit dry. Would definitely reorder with beef or shrimp. The lamb shank massaman was delicious and super tender. For appetizers we had the crab wontons and Tom yum mussels, which was a bit cold so the cheese did not melt. Just ok. Overall really great Thai food. Can’t wait to try other menu items. The restaurant was really beautiful also. Very calming environment.
Worth the price and good service
Great ambience and aesthetic

Overall I had a good experience! Firstly, the ambiance was great. Modern, cute, and warm. But most of the tables were filled even on a weekday night so make a reservation! The service is also good--they were able to accommodate to nut allergies.

Most of the food was great. I wouldn't say it's very filling though.
Pineapple duck curry (5/5) - crispy duck, amazing sauce, and comes with a bowl of rice. Big portion that is good to share.
Tom yum (4/5) - flavorful soup with squid, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. Cute presentation.
Pad Thai (4/5) - classic dish that was pretty good
Thai fried rice (3/5) - don't recommend; not that flavorful
---
Desserts were amazing!
Thai tea sizzling roti (5/5) - so many flavors and textures, it definitely hits the spot in the winter. The sizzling roti, marshmallow, and cereal pieces contrast the tasty Thai tea ice cream.
Mango mouse cake (5/5) - cake was fluffy and light! it comes with coconut ice cream with coconut chunks in it! Perfect for if u want something light and fruity.

I will definitely come here again! They also had many beautiful drinks that I didn't try.
My family decided to try this restaurant out after seeing a food blogger rave about it on TikTok. Honestly, BEST DECISION! There’s a sleek, modern vibe that still makes it feel intimate. The food is even better. I had the Pineapple Duck, Coconut Sticky Rice, and Soup. Wonderful time!
Great food and great atmosphere. 10/10 would come again.
I love the food, and the atmosphere. Went w/ Ryan Fong.
Delicious 😋🤤
Service was quick. The staff were friendly. Best of all, each dish was delicious! Never had Tom Yum as delicious as their Tom Yum with shrimps.
I got the Squid pad kee Mao takeout and it was delicious but I got the stomach flu the following morning. I hadn't eaten any other meals for the day so I'm quite certain there was no other variables at play. I've eaten there 3 times and this was the first time I had any issues.
Excellent food. Vegetarian and vegan options available … food was really quite quite good
Everything was great. I review lots of restaurants, and this was my favorite in recent memory.
My friends are usually really picky, and they also loved this spot.
We had green curry, roasted duck, BBQ pork, seafood soup, tofu soup, rice, Thai fried rice, Thai tea, Thai coffee, wontons, and more. All were great.
Server was nice and friendly and quick.
There were some expensive items, but also some very affordable options, I liked the variety. We got 6 dishes for 6 people. Plus a few drinks. It was$27 / person. Not terrible.
I will definitely go back, and I hope you give this spot a chance, even if it's a little out of your way
(I know this review sounds too good to be true, but so was this restaurant tbh)
terrible food.
super salty.after ate my stomach need 2 gallon water.
this is chinese food not thai food.
One of the best culinary experiences we have ever had! Truly robust, flavorful dishes…we had the summer rolls with bronzino, soft shell crab curry, lamb massaman curry and delicious perfectly stirred Manhattans. The decor is lovely and modern.
The only recommendation we would have is to add another entry way, e.g. vestibule/plexiglass/wind blocker door for windy/cold nights etc. It was a bit cold sitting by the front of the restaurant on a 35 degree evening. All in all, a wonderful evening!
The only thing saltier than me after dining here, was the soft shell crab I ordered. It was bad, insalting even. Puns aside the biggest punchline was the price, which when considering the food I didn't hate (mediocre at best) was what really left a bad taste in my mouth.
If social media brought you here, consider unfollowing any influencer that sold you on this "dining experience". This doesn't meet the minimum standards when compare to the options of the neighboring restaurants.
Went here for dinner with family. Service was great. They were nice and quick. Food was also delicious. We all really liked the crispy pork belly with the Pak boong sauce.
We came here for lunch and got their lunch special, price is good, good is okay.
The raw crab is to die for. Otherwise, order drunken noodle and seafood pancakes. You won't be disappointed.
Great food and service.
(Though it comes at a price)
Price per person is higher than expected considering the area (partly due to small portions)
Atmosphere is trendy and restaurant is clean.
No parking lot available. Street parking is tough around the area.
I’m so happy this area has an authentic Thai place. The interior is really nice and warm, their menu selection is pretty extensive too, and taste wise the Panang Curry was amazing. My friend kept saying it’s her new favorite Thai dish. The pad see ew was a bit underwhelming, chicken was very dry and I we weren’t offered chilis or hot sauces, the steamed bass was good but a bit over done, I would still stick to Elmhurst for Thai food but this is a good place to stop by if in the area. I want to come back to try their marinated crab!
This place really knows how to make a meal. Really well seasoned, spiced, and prepared meals. The curry and fried options were not heavy. Flavors paired extremely well with each other. Service was very accommodating and welcoming. Would recommend if you are looking for a real taste of Asian cuisine.
Excellent atmosphere and thai food highly recommended
Simple, chic, and modern decor. Great tasting food, even after a management change. Good service once you break the ice. Good for date night, girls night, or solo outing.
Made a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night. We split some appetizers and I tried the Soft Shell Crab Karee and the Crispy Pork Belly with Basil. Both entrees were great, good portions, very flavorful. Service was great and the restaurant itself is super cute!
Enjoy it
Ok food. Came for dinner. seated right awayno waiting online. Ok drinks not great. Good desserts though
This is a takeout order. The food was piping hot upon pick up. Every single dish was wonderfully seasoned and tasted authentic. The dishes we got were the chicken massaman, pad kee mao, and pad thai. Chicken massaman curry was very thick and paired well with the rice. The 2 chicken thigh and bone piece were extremely tender (bone part was pretty tough to eat and required some hands-on grappling!) Pad kee mao had a nice bite to the spice but also tons of flavor. The chicken pad thai was not my favorite (but then again, I don’t usually order this).
Would definitely eat here again.
Great atmosphere. Food is delicious, would recommend to my friends! Would recommend the Beef Pad Kee Mao.
Delicious food and affordable prices! Will be coming back
Delicious and affordable. Come here if you would like to try Thai food with a decent price.
Amazing restaurant. Food and presentation is great!
What's not to like about this place? Good service and good food. Every was tasty and you can have them adjust your spice level. I've tried other Thai restaurants and by far this is the one I keep coming back to. Do save room for dessert.
I really enjoyed my dinner here!
Staffs were very nice and fast with everything they do, food came out fast, tasted great, everything was just clean and perfect.
The price point is a little high, but the portion was pretty big for me, so I could take the rest to go for next meal!
Great food。
I ordered pad Thai with chicken and put NO PEANUTS and of course they put peanuts in there. When I called the lady was arguing with me about the time of my order instead of discussing the issue at hand. I will never eat from there again. I used uber eats and they were not helpful at all either. I just lost $80
Was looking to continue my quest for the best Thai lunch offering and was skeptical of this place but I was very much proven wrong.
I was initially skeptical as there aren't a TON of offerings and I was a bit disappointed by the appetizer options. Ultimately chose the pad kee mao with chicken and the spring rolls. Also ordered the chive rice cake, as that is essentially what I judge any Thai restaurant on.
The spring rolls-divine. They were perfectly crispy and a substantial size. While I was initially sad this was the only appealing app, I was very pleasantly surprised. Tried the chive cake next, which was also so well done. The outside a nice crispiness with the inside being super "mushy" (in a good way as these should be). Top 5 versions of this I've had. Finally, the noodle dish. Shockingly delicious. I think I handle spice fairly well and was really taken aback by how spicy this was, which was a really nice surprise. Great portion size and the noodles were really nice. Would absolutely get again.
I picked up takeout from here and sort of wished I had eaten in. The vibe is super cool. Music was great, seating was hip, and the decor was very modern. Will absolutely be ordering/eating here again. My only suggestion would be that they expand their appetizer offerings for the lunch special.
I visited When in Bangkok around midday and was initially impressed by the modern ambiance. The furniture, décor, and even the utensils all felt sleek and contemporary, giving the restaurant a stylish vibe. However, the one thing that seemed to be missing was the most essential ingredient—authentic Thai flavor.
I ordered the Pad Thai and Cashew Nut Stir Fry, expecting to experience the bold, distinctive flavors that I associate with Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, both dishes tasted more like a generic stir fry without any of the characteristic Thai taste. It’s hard to describe exactly what was missing—maybe the Thai herbs or the punchy balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors that Thai food is known for.
I’ve always found it difficult to recreate these flavors at home, which is why I usually choose Thai restaurants when I eat out, but this meal fell flat. Before visiting, I read several reviews that recommended their signature dishes like crab, whole fish, and duck. I figured if the restaurant could nail those, their classic stir fry dishes would be great too, since they’re staples in Thai cuisine. Sadly, this wasn’t the case.
In the end, while the modernized approach works for the atmosphere, I feel the food has lost its authentic Thai touch.
Seafood pancake and Pad see ew were both very good. Pad kra pao had good taste but the beef in it was awfully chewy. It should’ve been minced and not sliced as well. I ordered a Thai iced tea but had no idea what actually arrived. It tasted like coffee and hot chocolate and was a latte color. Tamarind wings were also pretty bad. The flavor was surface level and the meat was dry.
They got alot of fake reviews because they give you a free drink if you give them a review. This makes them feel like they are highly rated. However, you'll be met with poor service and mediocre food.
Good food nice menu would try again
Greeted right away with welcoming vibes. Atmosphere is really relaxing and food is delicious.
Very good
Really nice ambiance, service, and food. 10/10 recommend.
Tom yum very rich with lots of seafood, veggie, the pad thai with shrimp amazing. Step by step we would like to try everything from their menu. I made table reservations online,so our table was ready when we arrived. Outdoor patio really nice we all loved the atmosphere inside and outside.
Will be back lunch menu is not just great very affordable !
Today we are back again. It’s a beautiful sunny day so we picked the patio table try their lunch special…for $32 2 people more than full,my hubby finished my meal. I can tell the most delicious Thai in food in Queens!
Got food poisoning!!!!
I was craving Pad Thai and gave this place a try. It did not disappoint. Sometimes
Takeout noodles can be dry and bland but WIB’s Pad Thai was so flavourful and the texture was perfect. Well done, when picking up my order I noticed the ambiance of the restaurant had a clean cozy romantic vibe in the evening. I’m excited to return and dine in.
Made me wait for my take out even though the kitchen staff bought it out to the front for the past 10 minutes. Waiters just ignored me even though the restaurant had no other customers. All 5 stars are fake ratings because they give you a free drink in return.
Very awesome place, food is delicious and the atmosphere is very aesthetic.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Great food and great service
Really pretty atmosphere and drinks are delicious 😋 should come back more to try every item on the menu!
The food is really good.
Very good
nice spot, good food
Got seated very fast, good atmosphere, nice music :)
Good food, great atmosphere.
Great food, service, and lovely atmosphere
great service
Very nice very mindful very demure
Delicious Thai spot in Queens with beautiful modern interior that showcases hints of Thai culture on the wall, with bamboo and wooden accents. Cute little lamps on each table provide nice ambiance. Perfect for lunch or date night. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, pad Thai and pad see ew.
Only thing is that their prices are higher than other good Thai spots in Queens.
great food, decent portions, and well priced. find my new favorite thai spot
The food was really good, it was the best pad kee mao I’ve had in a while. The curry puffs were good as well. I love the gold spoons and forks and the staff was super nice!
Very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. atmosphere is very friendly. Would come again!
Food is great! Pinapple fried rice was tasty and the ambiance is relaxing. Would come back for sure
Decoré is modern and service and food is exceptional
Have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed, excellent food, great service, and beautiful interior! Nice date spot!
Cute place within walking distance of the LIRR station. Really into it and will likely come back!
Great food, great atmosphere!
(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ Good vibes and food
Very good
I LOVE THE FOOD
The service was amazing! And the food was delicious! I ordered the kea mao and it was hot, fresh, and spicy!
Good food, great service, green curry was requested spicy and it was indeed spicy!!
We got the lunch special on a Saturday afternoon where the food was made to exactly what we expected. I got the green curry and requested it to be extra spicy and it had the perfect balance of spice to curry ratio. definitely will come back!!
The food was absolutely amazing here!! The service was great and fast, the staff is so friendly as well! I highly recommend coming here if you’re ever craving some quality Thai food!
Very good ambiance
Great food and experience!
Delicious Thai food! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and friendly, making the entire dining experience enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone craving flavorful, fresh Thai cuisine!
What can I say! What a beautiful thai spot in Flushing and amazing signature dishes as well! Very friendly, fast and delicious!!
The crab fried rice is the best in town!!!
great food, quick service
Friendly staffs and best thai resturant in flushing!
Great food and atmosphere. Friendly staff
amazing food and service, and fair prices
Atmosphere, Food and Service very good
We dined in on a Monday night, and despite the restaurant being nearly full, the ambiance was warm and inviting, complemented by attentive service. While the Seafood Pancake and Pad Thai were enjoyable, the Tom Yum soup fell short of expectations. For $24, we felt it was overpriced, as it lacked both seafood and vegetables.
The Branzino fresh rolls came with a flavorful garlicky sauce, but I wasn’t particularly fond of the fried fish—it had a stronger fishy taste than I prefer.
Overall, the food and service were good, but there’s room for improvement.
Amazing atmosphere and the waiters were very friendly and patient. The food was also very delicious!! 10/10 recommended!
Always love coming here. It’s my go to Thai place. The vibes are immaculate and the food is amazing.
Best thai food in Queens!
Food is delicious, good atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Good atmosphere
Good
Cozy vibe, good food
Amazing Thai food. Better than the ones in the city. Very fresh, doesn't have that strong traditional Thai food scent, very welcoming for people who are new to Thai cuisine. They recommended the soft shell crab, absolutely delicious. Lamb curry.. out of this planet, curry is creamy, sweet, not spicy, meat is tender and soft, no lamb scent at all 🤌🏻. . Pineapple fried rice, very different from ur usual fried rice. Has a rich deep flavor embedded in every single grain of rice. Pork belly w/ morning glory, crispy, juicy, tender, not too sweet, not too salty, well balanced, cooked and marinated to perfection.
Interior is very clean, not loud, very cozy. Servers are welcoming and polite. Can't wait to try other dishes!
For parking I recommend parking north of northern boulevard a block or 2 away. About 5 min walk not too bad plenty of neighborhood street parking away from northern.
Love this spot. They get busy on weekends and they also have a nice outdoor patio. Love the crab appetizer and panag curry
Muy bien
great food
Tasty dishes all around!!! Servers were very nice and accommodating. And it wasn’t too loud even though it was busy. New and clean too.
The food is incredibly tasty and authentic, with friendly service to match. While it is on the pricey side, I highly recommend trying the lunch specials for a better value. The crispy duck was slightly dry, but overall it was a wonderful meal, especially considering the generous portions. Highly recommended!
Amazing
Been here a few times and food was always exceptional! Staff is super nice and took time to explain things on the menu. Will be coming back!
Friendly staff, cosy and nice atmosphere. amazing food
