Thai restaurant serving curries, noodles & rice dishes in a low-key neighborhood environment.
[Update] Ever since my coworker invited me to Siam Square, I knew I had to take my wife on a date here one day. This spot became an occasional dinner date when we were engaged.
It feels peaceful and I always find the right way to make her smile in the amount of intimacy I have with her. We are always respected with great service. I had an enjoyable time with my wife on our 3 Year anniversary.
SO. GOOD. Ordered delivery and it arrived earlier than expected. The Drunken Noodles with tofu was satisfyingly delicious (although the fried tofu could be more seasoned, it was a bit bland). Thankful to have found a restaurant with quality food and quick delivery that I look forward to ordering from again, and dining in when the times comes!
This small restaurant with almost no parking (park in the rear behind the restaurant at night) took me two years to get into because of their pandemic situation. It is easily worth the wait and our new go to restaurant locally. The pad Thai had the right balance of sweetness and heat. The sticky rice was divine. Come here!
It is so hard to chose just one favorite item from this place. But if I'm gonna make any suggestions I highly recommend the papaya salad and any dumplings! I could of at 10 plates worth by myself. And my favorite dinner dish is the Thai sausage fried rice!! 😋 I went here with some co workers of mine and we all can't wait to go back !
AMAZING!!!! I can start off by saying that! This is an authentic family owned business. I ordered Satay Chicken Appetizer, Pad Krapow Chicken as entree and Fried Ice Cream as dessert. Let me say the amazing quality of the food and the large servings alone is the best I was able to take home left overs and enjoy the meal a second time!! This is the only place I come to and have fried Ice Cream it’s something about the combination of the raspberry sauce and fried ice cream that makes your taste buds party!! The staff are pretty cool its a busy place but when they get a moment they are amazing people on the couple times i been there I learned so much about Thailand the waiter taught me how to say thank you in thai. They are so sweet and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who has a eye for authentic thai food you will not regre It. I already cant wait to come back… THE BEST!!!!!!
I first came across this place I believe in 2007-2008. Its been over 14-15 years and over the years I visit this place once or twice a month and the food quality is just the greatest. I think I about tried everything on there menu lol so I recommend everything. My all time favorite is there Ped Kratium if you a fan of duck if not the Pad Kratium Steak is still the second best choice. Comes with white rice but I usually substitute it and pay a difference for there thai fried rice. For dessert I usually go with the coconut mousse taste really good and Im a coconut fan. They have thai beer if not mistaken called Singha its a great taste better then corona. The staff are friendly they always refill my drinks when im there and offer mints or candy for free. If your in the mood for good Thai food stop by this place the foods great I been coming for 15 years so imagine that and I live pretty far from this place.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and seemingly only open for dinner. I have never seen them open during the day but I may be wrong.
The main course was supposed to be a Massiman Curry, very disappointing and watery. It was expensive, and unless they get radically better, I will never go back. I don't think they cook authentic Thai, I suppose they cook like they think Americans will accept, but that is just patronizing. A re think is in order.

It makes me sad to write this review. Siam Square used to be our go-to Thai food place and the food used to be pretty spectacular. I don't know what changed, but the food is now mediocre at best, especially considering the price. I really hope they fix what's been broken.
Insides a little dated but the food is Slammin.

Absolutely fantastic place the food was phenomenal. Family run business.
I am not a fan anymore. Duck in garlic sauce, Ped Kratium, was disgustingly uneatable. Also a small teapot of tea for $7 was not very attractive. Two other dishes, Panang and Drunken Noodles, were very good. So, may be.
HORRIBLE FOOD! STAY AWAY!
Possibly the worst Food of my life!
I order dinner for my family and picked it up, the place is filthy and smelled so bad as soon as I walked in to pick up my order. It smelled like someone had sprayed cockroach or rat spray everywhere.
I could barely stand there and left immediately after taking my food. The food looked awful and taste like garbage. It smelled bad and tasted absolutely horrible.
I should have checked other reviews before ordering.
Great food, good service.
The quality of the flood is bland and not tasteful.
I arrived at the restaurant at 9:25pm and they stated they were closed meanwhile their sign says 10pm closure. The restaurant is in desperate of a new paint job and a little cleaning.
The food we received in our takeout order tonight may possibly be the worst takeout ever! The Pad Thai was resembled a pancake, all the noodles were stuck together, there were no bean sprouts or egg in the gelatinous mess, with only a few very sorry shrimp. Once again, stuck together, the drunken noodles were absolutely tasteless. The papaya salad had no papaya, and the lettuce was limp and turning brown. The chicken satay was dry as cardboard. If this is the kind of food Siam Square turns out, I believe their days will be numbered.
Good was great, decor is beautiful and the service was excellent!
This place has no flavor at all in the pad Thai. Will NOT order again. Don't waste your money. Raw bean sprouts no eggs and much more. My stomach is killing me too. Couldn't even finish that flavorless food.
I come from Jackson Heights, so I have a right to be picky about authentic Thai food. Let me tell you, this place is the real deal, literally the best thai food I have had -- fresh ingredients, the right amount of spice, and a great menu. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Nice crispy panang duck!
food was bad
Back in the 2000s we were living in Riverdale. They had free wine on Wednesdays and believe me we took full advantage. We'd walk in and the look on their faces was "oh, its these guys again!". The food was always good and the staff very friendly. I miss those days.
Terrible dining experience. I ordered green curry with tofu, a standard Thai dish. The tofu was so toufh. I couls not chew it. The rice was ofnpoor qualuty and uundercooked with non and dry. The amountt of vegetables was veey skimpy. The Thai eggplant wasn't properly cooked and very hars.. The worst Thai restaurant Ibhave eaten in in NYC.
Too bad they can't cook
Food was great and the service was quick.
Food is delicious ❤
Pleasant staff, wide range of choice on the menu, deliciously prepared.
I use to go here a lot years ago but I haven't been in some time. Not sure if the management has changed but the food didn't have the same flavor as I recalled. Food wasn't bad tho just not as good as I remember.
Rare find, good food and service
SO.
Delicious cuisine, attentive service, reasonable prices
You just have to go and see for yourself. We had asian dumplings spring rolls, Thom Mah Gai soup' pineapple fried rice'' ' curry puffs'' Pad krapow' Thai tea with cream and the other without cream and lime' coconut mousse and fried ice cream. I am a critic and I always have something to say about restaurants. I have no complaints! Every single damn morsel of food was delicious' fresh and made to perfection! Absolutely the place to go for Thai. If you like Thai food add this to your list! You will not be disappointed. Service was excellent! Sorry' I was to busy eating to take pictures. Next time!
I ordered from this place on Uber Eats and they waited an entire hour to cancel my order. Past the estimated delivery time. I called multiple times during business hours for clarification and there was no answer. Highly disappointed.
Great ty soups
Never had thai food before. Food was great. Service was great.
Great food, especially that they have very spicy options. Fast service.
Could use some upgrading to the tableware and interior.
Best Thai food in New York
I got violently sick from their Papaya Salad. I was told they forgot to add the sugar. The manager promised a $15 credit on my next order. Called for an order and reminded them of the credit and one of the part owners told me I would just get sick again, lol. I couldn't believe she was giving me a hard time and didn't want my business. I tried to explain what happened and she wouldn't listen to me. Apparently, a 15 year customer is worth losing over $15. I'll never eat at Siam Square again and can't recommend to anyone. Horrible business practice and zero customer service. You also risk getting violently ill.
I've enjoyed this place for over 20 years
Love it!
I don't know from what Thai recipe book .they cook from more like what ever is in the fridge. Certainly not a traditional tie restaurant. From the outside they look closed I think maybe the last time they cleaned the outside face of the restaurant .was when they first open which looks like the early 70's no really and from the dish I ordered they should cut there prices.but because of their location the rent dictates their prices. Really not a good experience.
The food here is amazing but the delivery guy always shows up high off of weed, and after I met him at my building's entrance once to accommodate him, he got lazy and has never delivered to my door again.
Delicious thai food! I buy through Seamless regularly. Hands down the best thai in the Kingsbridge/Riverdale area.
The waitress never refilled our water. Never cleared our table. Never asked if we want dessert. When I asked her to clear, she laughed and brought our check. Truly despicable service.
Good food.
high priced mediocre fake Thai good.
Foods are great. A little expensive. Coconut mousse and the soup like most. Whole red snapper was ok. But didn’t like the duck dish. Way too sweet.
This is my favorite authentic Thai restaurant in Riverdale. Nice atmosphere. I had fried fish cake and I really like it.
Best Thai in Riverdale
Ordered drunken noodles and it was awesome!
Magnificently delicious!
Nice Thai restaurant for the area. They are a bit pricey but its the only one around the neighborhood. Also they have free house wine every Wednesday which will bring a crowd so come on early for that.
A fine Thai restaurant with friendly staff and a low key vibe. Highly recommended.
Decent Thai but they know they have the local Thai food lovers locked down as they are the only restaurant around and charge exorbitantly for meals that you could find in the city or elsewhere for much cheaper. And don’t go for a sit down. Just order for delivery or takeout. The restaurant itself is a darn sight nasty.
be careful what you ask for in the spicy department; you will get it. the food is fresh and exceptionally tasty.
This is really the only choice for Thai food in Riverdale. It is ok but not great overall. Enjoyed the coconut soup with lemongrass and chicken very much, well done. The pad thai with tofu was a bit gummy and didn't have the fresh vegetable crunch and cilantro freshness that it should have had. I also prefer that the tofu be steamed not fried but the tofu was tasty. Service was very good but the walls and moldings in the bathroom could use a really good cleaning. So if in Riverdale and in the mood for Thai, this is adequate, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there from another part of NYC.
Yummy food at a good price.
Amazing
Best Thai in the area
Food was good. Nice quiet place for you and a friend to eat and chat or pick up. Real Thai feel.
Awesome Pad Thai
The food was very filling and the portion was enough for two. The service was pretty good as well; will be going back soon
good。
Excellent food, fast friendly service. A true gem in Riverdale!
Excellent Thai food for suburbs.
descent food. overpriced
This is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is good: attractively decorated, softly playing jazz music, and quiet enough for good conversations. I enjoy the food, whether eating my usual Thai favorites (pad Thai and pineapple fried rice) or trying one of their other many choices. They even have dessert (purple rice pudding, coconut mousse, or in summer mango with sticky rice). Service can be slightly slow when they are crowded, but at other times they are attentive.
Great will be back
I've lived in this neighborhood for 8 months prior to moving to LA in September 2015 and I love Thai food and NEVER knew about this place until I came back to visit NY in June 2016. The food was so good, I was actually upset I never knew about this place before lol. The service was fast and the food was prepared and presented well. Definitely coming back for more.
Last time I am ordering from here. Ordered 1h15 minutes ago and it still isn't here. #hangry
Food is ok. They r very slow. If you are picking up and they tell you 15 minutes, leave yourself 30-45 or you will be standing around. Staff seems pretty clueless as well.
Very disappointed. Long wait for delivery. And food was very bland and extremely greasy - Pad Thai. And one little spring of scallion, the only flavor was in the lime. Over $20 is way overpriced for the Bronx, and certainly for the food itself. Won't be ordering again :( the only positive was the friendly delivery guy!
Great Decor, full menu, and nice tucked-away location. Great for vegetarians and carnivores alike!
It has always been a step above other Thai restaurants, even in Manhattan. Inventive, beautifully balanced flavors and great presentation.
Good food!
Over priced! Food is really good and service is excellent. Way too expensive though....
I live down the street and eat here all the time. I'd pickup takeout more if it wasn't so overpriced. Pad Thai in the Bronx shouldn't cost $14. But the specials, which can be pricy, tend to be very good and very creative. The service is always good and they're even nice on "Free Wine Wednesdays," when they give you all the boxed wine you can drink with the purchase of an entree. They also get points from me for being nice to my 2-year-old. They also were open on Christmas Day, which saved me from having to cook or order horrible Chinese takeout.
Don't have to go to Manhattan to have yummy, flavorful Thai food. Always friendly staff give it a special lift but the food stands on its own.
Despite its drawbacks, this is the better of the two Thai joints in the neighborhood by far. Behind the old-looking facade is a nicely decorated restaurant that is usually completely empty.
The Penang and Massamum curry dishes are fantastic, as is their signature duck dish, albeit a bit dry. All of the other random sauteed dishes that I have tried have been delicious. Their Thai street food menu, dine-in only, is good for a few nibbles.
I find two negatives with Siam Square. First, delivery could be very, very slow, sometimes over an hour. Second, they have raised prices significantly over the years while at the same time reducing the size of their take-out containers. This alone is the reason why we rarely order out from here anymore... but we still don't order from that "other" Thai place in the neighborhood (read my review there.)
consistently good neighborhood restaurant
excellent thai, by far the best in the area and worth driving to (validated parking available).
