Casual, airy eatery offering Thai standards such as veggies, curries, stir-fries & noodles.
Thai Spice delivered a delightful dining experience with a mix of vibrant flavors and generous portions. Our meal included a variety of dishes: beef salad, ginger stir-fry with beef, sweet and sour chicken stir-fry, fresh spring rolls, fried rolls, and sticky rice for dessert.
Starting with the appetizers, the fresh spring rolls were generously sized and bursting with freshness, while the fried rolls were simply amazing, crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. Moving on to the main courses, both the beef salad and ginger stir-fry with beef impressed with their tender meat and crunchy vegetables. The sweet and sour chicken stir-fry was a hit as well, perfectly balancing tangy and sweet flavors.
Despite a busy dining room, the service was commendable though the food did take a bit longer to arrive, which was understandable given the freshness and cooking to order.
Highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the sticky rice dessert, which we all loved for its rich, satisfying sweetness.
Overall, Thai Spice offers a memorable dining experience with delicious food that's worth the wait. We look forward to returning to explore more of their menu.
Went back the next day for more and the service was very quick even though they were quite busy. Love this place.
I had the massaman curry with fried tofu as well as some veggies egg rolls. Both were EXCELLENT. Especially the curry. I could not get enough and finished the whole bowl! I am very proud of myself for that. I had medium spice and my nose still was runny though and my spice tolerance is mid to a bit high. Really good service but it took a long time to arrive.
My friend Michael and I stopped by Thai Spice for lunch, and overall, it was a decent experience with a few areas for improvement. I ordered the salmon curry, which had plenty of flavor and tasted great. However, I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t served hot—it was on the colder side, which affected the overall enjoyment of the dish.
The white rice, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly and complemented the curry well. I did order an unsweetened iced tea, but unfortunately, the waitress seemed to forget about it, and I never received it. I decided to stick with water instead, so it wasn’t a huge issue, but it did feel like a small oversight.
Overall, the food was flavorful, and the atmosphere was pleasant. If they can improve the food temperature and service attentiveness, it could be an excellent spot for Thai cuisine. I’d consider giving them another try in the future.
We went for lunch as Thai Spice offers a great lunch menu.
We were seated quickly in a nicely decorated and spacious room, service was very attentive and fast. They walked around to refill water and tea frequently.
Our dishes were prepared nicely, the ginger pork was full of fresh ginger and yellow curry with chicken was spiced nicely at the medium level. Pad Thai was a disappointment: it just tasted salty and with too much dark soy sauce, noodles were soggy. Adding shrimp means 4 shrimps were placed on top.
The lunch menu comes with egg drop soup, 2 small fried egg rolls, and tapioca pudding which were nice add-ons to round out the meal.
Overall a pleasant experience although the simple Thai dishes were disappointing.....
Excellent Thai food. Prices are on par if not the most reasonable in the city. The location is far from where we normally dine but this was worth trying as many people claim it’s good - and they are not wrong. The Pad Thai is actually a little fishier than most places but the texture and taste were still amazing. Their pineapple curry was incredible. Full of flavor and nearly authentic (since we were just in Thailand and had plenty of delicious curry). Considering we (USA) don’t have all the correct ingredients to make the best curry around, this was as good as you can get.
I went here for my friend's bachelorette party dinner. We were able to reserve a table for a big table which was really helpful and appreciated! I was really taken back by the atmosphere of the place, not what I had in mind when I thought of a restaurant in a mall strip. The lighting was darker which allowed for a bit more mature setting if that makes sense? The food was good, for someone who doesn't eat Thai food ever, I enjoyed it! The service was also quite good as well!
Tasty food and usually crowded, so service can lack at times.
The food was okay, the server was not very friendly. and they need blinds due to the bright sun shining in.
Our favorite Thai place in Albuq. We have been there dozens of times. Thai hot is hot, you have been warned :)
My new favorite Thai restaurant in Abq. The curry is incredible. All dishes we have tried have been great.
Generally, very good. I want to go back and try more items from the menu.

The restaurant was clean and had great vibes.
The food quality was good but oversalted
Portions are small
Pricey for what you get. Soft drinks are $4.75
Waited an hour for takeout curry and they ‘forgot’ to put rice in the order.
My bill was 18$ i left a 3$ tip shudv come out to 21$ but instead they mustv changed the 1 to a 4 and the total they took out was 24$
Crooks
Limited seating makes this restaurant feel quaint and personal. I wouldn't say what's served is authentic Thai but inspired. The created/inspired fits the customer base, It's like downtime cooking in some I nes home in Thailand. This is probably Albuquerques' hidden gem. The rice alone will keep you returning.

This is our favorite Thai spot in town. Recently we placed a to go order and they forgot to make our Thai tea. The server my partner spoke to apologized and made us 2 even though we only ordered 1. We love and appreciate their service here!
Great over all clean and fast service.

I was looking for a good place to get pad Thai and I was not disappointed. A tiny teeny bit on the sweet side but still very delicious. Their egg drop soup was really thick and filling and the tiny spring rolls that came with the pad Thai were very tasty as well. I ordered an iced Thai coffee and that was DELICIOUS! Great restaurant with great food and great service.
After finishing my meal, I forgot my scarf at the restaurant. The waiter ran out to return it to me. I’m especially grateful. Service is good. Serving food very fast.
Picked up a to go order yesterday & the Pad Thai noodles were soggy, green onions thrown in looked & tasted 2 months old, & made the awful mistake of ordering spring rolls instead of egg rolls. They were wrapped in this DISGUSTING clear like Elmer's glue tasting filmy wrap. Never again will I go to this dump. Sloppy food and high priced.
Our waitress is very friendly and attentive.
moved here from colorado (last year) and was told to try this place. And i cant stop going back--the best pho, fried rice and egg rolls in town and just period!!!!! wow! the pho soup is so aromatic and true bone broth (not watered down like some). FOUR STARS from me
Good food and great service. Portions are good sized too.
Go during lunch for lunch special for best prices! Try the yellow curry or the combination fried rice! We went about 1 pm and the place was pretty packed but didn’t take long to seat 2. Definitely top 3 favorite places to stop by when passing through or staying in Albuquerque! 👍👍
Terrific food and not too terribly expensive. It is always great here.
We were excited to try Thai Spice but I'm not sure if it was just because it's Friday night that left us underwhelmed by the whole experience. We waited for 30 mins which was longer than we were told but it was fine. We got seated and the wait staff gave us the menu and since we were all hungry we were ready to order in 3 minutes. She came back after 10 minutes and asked what we wanted to eat and drink. Since most of us ordered hot tea our waitress did not ask if we also want some ice water. I was going to ask, but she never came back. Our dishes was served by the owner/manager after 30 minutes. The soup I ordered did not come with rice nor was I asked if I wanted a some. The one small rice cup we got had burnt rice mixed in with the softer texture. To top our dining experience, there was a lady soliciting inside while we were eating. She was selling pink bracelets supposedly for cancer. I don't know if this is the norm, but after all that I'm not sure if I'm going back.
Modified Thai food for Americans, not authentic. The personnels are overwhelmed . They forgot to take our orders. But fast in cleaning table when we are about to leave.
Thai Spice is always busy during dinner regardless of the time or day because the food is always great! The curries are particularly tasty but everything else we've tried is good as well. Please give Thai Spice a try, you won't be disappointed.
Update: Tried the pineapple curry last night and it was packed with flavor, great balance between sweet and heat!
Staff say they don't cook with MSG at all at Thai Spice, so you don't have to request No MSG. Both Pad Thai and Tom Kha (coconut soup) are excellent, though you won't get rice with the coconut soup on a to-go order like you will at most Thai places. I always order to-go, and the steamed (not fried) tofu that comes in my Pad Thai orders is always tender & delicious; but the scallions are incredibly inconsistently done — sometimes good-sized, fresh & plentiful; other occasions, you can barely find them.
They used to have an attractive and welcoming cast iron table with padded seats out front where you could rest or dine outdoors; but regrettably, got rid of it just in time for spring 2024.
Superior services.
Decided to try this location it was absolutely packed, must be a good reason. Quick service ordered green curry(hot) chicken was totally delish, good amount of chicken and crisp veggies, and, hot, as advertised. I’m looking forward to my next experience, so I can try the gigantic spring rolls the guests next time we’re eating. Loved it!
Very loud and food was not my favorite
Combination Fried Rice !
Ate here many time's. But this last time
was slow service and we got sick after eating here. The runs...
Great vibe. Tasty dishes not a boring place to meet. 5 stars all around.
Food is good.
Want something different ? Thai Spice is it. Pretty and fun , food is beautifully presented and delicious.
I've eaten here hundreds of times, in the restaurant and carry out! The food is always 10/10 they have never let me down. Some of the staff even recognizes me and calls me by name! This is a great locally owned establishment and the best Thai food in town!
Visited here on 7/17. A waitress who was sitting at a table yelled across the dining room when we arrived, directing us to choose a table. Too much effort was required, apparently, for her to stand and greet us. Sadly, she turned out to be our server.
Chicken fried rice and shrimp tempura on the table. The tempura were quite small and hard to cut. The fried rice dish was ample, but had the wrong type of onion in it. Taste was just so so.
The server didn't offer to refill beverages until after she brought the check. Worried, I'm sure, that her horrid service would reflect unfavorably in the tip. This is truly awful on the part of a server. People order beverages to enjoy With the meal.... Not the check.
Although the decor was pleasant and colorful, it won't do anything to disguise the lack of even basic service and the rather steep prices. It was our first visit here. We won't return.
Very tasty, good menu options and friendly staff.

Overall a pleasant experience although the simple Thai dishes were disappointing.....
Outstanding delicious food. Eye popping atmosphere. Very reasonable, affordable and generous lunch special that includes a cup of very tasty egg drop soup before the meal, 2 small vegetarian fried egg rolls with the meal and a small portion of delectable tapioca pudding after.
My partner had the Tom Yum soup and fresh veggie spring rolls as an appetizer. The spring rolls were very fresh and served with an interesting dipping sauce we both enjoyed. The Tom Yum soup was outstanding and quite a large portion.
We will be coming back to try more of the menu.
Their lunch special is awesome. Lots of variety great price. The food is wonderful and we love the atmosphere. Service is fantastic.
Friendly, attentive wait staff. Delicious food. Well decorated dining room. I enjoyed looking at the decorated ceiling. I have eaten here multiple times.

Went back the next day for more and the service was very quick even though they were quite busy. Love this place.
Despite the restaurant being crowded, we were seated quickly. Our food was delicious, everything was brought out all at once so we could enjoy a family style meal. My favorite was the yellow curry, which we got with tofu. And you definitely can’t go wrong with the Thai iced tea!
We had 17 people for lunch, and servers did a great job. They are very nice people and reimbused people when foid was late. They brought extra food when a dish was not great.
Highly recommend it.
I lived in Thailand for 9 months, I know how Thai food supposed to taste. Even though I do not expect exact same taste here in America , I still want decent quality of food. My husband and I ordered Pad Thai , Basil fried rice- the taste was normal, thank you for that. But our Tom Kha was just terrible with every spoon I ate, I just had a feeling that I am eating sugar. It’s literally sweeter than their Thai tea. Absolutely disappointed with that soup, I would not be back.
Excellent
Great atmosphere and great service. I always feel at home when I go. Thank you Team Thai Spice!!
The culinary offerings at this establishment are of a high standard, however, the service provided by the wait staff is inconsistent and unprofessional. During my initial visit with colleagues, the primary server displayed a rude demeanor and treated us as if our presence was an inconvenience. Conversely, the secondary server who assisted us towards the end of the meal was exceptionally friendly and attentive.
On a subsequent visit with my parents, there was a significant delay in serving my mother's appetizer, approximately 15 minutes after my father and I had received our complete meals. Upon inquiring about the status of her order with a server who was not assigned to our table, we discovered that the server who had initially taken our order had neglected to check on us and had subsequently disappeared.
Given the abundance of dining options available in Albuquerque, it is regrettable that this establishment's subpar service overshadows its culinary merits. While the quality of the food is commendable, it is insufficient to compensate for the poor service, which ultimately results in an unsatisfactory dining experience.
Great food
Pretty good. Kinda slow. Nice place though.
They have the best Masuman curry!!
Panang Chicken and Ginger chicken were both fabulous. Generous portions, fair price, and efficient service. I will most definitely be retuning.
Excellent Thai food. Great service & Location
We had the green curry and the tum yum. Both were delicious. I like how you can choose your spice level and it can go to pretty spicy.
Our favorite Thai restaurant. Pineapple curry is delicious, so is Rad Na, if you like spicy try both thai hot. Great service, to option is always good on busy evenings. ENJOY!
Unreal!! Food was amazing and so good if you like a little spice. They have the option to make sauce gluten free which was great. Drunken noodles were a 10/10
Very good meals at this place. I tried the Basil leaf lunch special with pork. Yum.
This is a great place for a quick lunch. Standard-fare Thai-American style food. Portions aren't huge....but not skimpy. Appropriate for the price.
Not the fanciest place and not the fanciest service...but entirely appropriate for an average decent lunch.
Food quality was standard.
I found nothing "negative"...but nothing extraordinary.
A great value. Would absolutely make it a regular lunch stop.
Not sure if dinner prices and portions are different.
Awesome food!
Friendly service and tasty Pad Thai!
Consistently good food and service. One of the nicer atmosphere Thai restaurants in town.
Went for lunch. Food was great. Very reasonable and good portions.
First time here was great food was good service was great definitely would recommend!
nw to us delicious
The food was absolutely delicious! Full of flavor and not overpowering at all.
I got take out. The food was tasty.
all the food was excellent very quick service. I would definitely go back.
The food is always so good. I always get curry so tasty
Just what you'd expect from a little family run business! We arrived at about 11:45 and almost every table was filled. That's a good sign! We were seated and quickly served drinks. I ordered off the lunch specials menu, deciding on Pad Thai with beef. My wife had a vegetable soup with shrimp. The lunch specials arrived with 2 fried egg rolls and some tapioca for desert.
Overall, a nice lunch served quick and hot. They have figured out the lunch rush program!
Only disappointment was I could not find a coconut soup on the menu.
First time eating dinner with the family.
Food is always delicious but they are very busy and the service suffers. Clean and beautifully decorated. I still give it 5 stars for the food. I had the Massaman Curry. Yummy!
This place has by far my favorite salad anywhere hands down. It is the beef salad. The flavors are amazing, big portions and by far it is always fresh. I have ordered it probably a dozen times and every time and at any spice level it has consistently been near perfect. The restaurant also has great atmosphere and service has been good. One of my favorites.
My family and I have been eating at Thai Spice for 6 years now and have been impressed by the food and service since then. The staff is always friendly, and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and organized.
We love the food! Over the years we have had their curries, stir fried dishes, soups, noodle dishes, appetizers, and salads. Every dish we have ordered has arrived hot and delicious. We definitely recommend!
Best Thai food ever!
It was crowded and busy..... but that's a good thing. My curry was so tasty, I didn't mind the wait at all! I LOVE that there's so many gluten-free options.
Delicious filling food with great service

Good was pretty mild for Thai even though I ordered it spicy. Service was ok, but the food was pretty slow coming out.
The best thai I could find anywhere near here. The flavors are delicious and you won't be disappointed whichever option you get.
Today we went to Thai spice and had the best meal. We tried a lot of the dishes, and everyone of them was amazing. We love our spicy food and they made it to our spice level. Johnny gave the best service I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s my new favorite Thai place in town! We will be back.
Amazing pad Thai. This was my first time eating Thai food and it was great experience. Nice people and good vibes
Delicious food! Highly recommend Pinapple curry
The food here is delicious, I love their spring rolls. when they get a large lunch rush, they get a bit frazzled. When they get busy parking can be quite difficult.
One of the best Thai places I’ve been through out the country. I’ve had a lot of Thai food. We went on a week night and reserved a table jic but it was unnecessary, the restaurant was busy but not packed and had good flow. First you’ll notice the atmosphere, very relaxed, a little whimsical and of course Thai originated. The waiter was quick, friendly and very good at his job. We ordered Thai iced tea, Thai iced green tea, hot jasmine tea and mango nectar, all of which were brought to the table pretty quickly. Between the three adults and 2 children we ordered Satay Chicken app, Thai fried rice w/chicken, pineapple curry, panang salmon and pad Thai. Each dish was to rave about.
Great food and great service!
Got there and was seated relatively quickly, they got our order quickly, but that’s where any resemblance of service stopped. The waitress never really came back and it took almost an hour and a half for us to get our food. When it did come out it was either luke warm or ice cold…if even the correct food. Didn’t even want to bother with asking for it to be reheated or asking for the correct item since we didn’t want it to take another hour.
Saturday. December 9, 2023. Dinner.
We lucked out. They had an empty table as soon as we walked in. Sat us down immediately. There is an outdoor patio, but no one sat there because of the freezing temperatures. I heard the waiter tell subsequent people walking in that it would be a 30–40-minute wait. They are located Northwest of Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte.
Our waiter, Johnny, looked young and energetic. He told us the restaurant had been opened seven years. We ordered 2 shrimp spring rolls ($5.95). They were large but had very little shrimp inside. The vegetables inside didn't taste old, but they weren't super fresh either. I ordered the Jasmine tea ($2.50). The tea came in a heavy, black metal tea pot with two tea bags and a black metal cup. I liked the presentation, and the tea had a nice, light floral flavor. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with seafood ($15.95). I believe the seafood included mussels, squid and some sort of fish. Johnny told me that the Thai Spice level was hot. He joked that I couldn't send it back. So, I ordered that level and found it to be not hot at all. I had to add Sriracha to it.
Johnny checked on us multiple times during our meal. He had a pleasant, positive attitude. The restaurant is decorated impeccably, with swimming fish, multi-colored upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, romantic lighting and modern artwork on the walls. I can attest, from personal experience, that the men's bathroom was very clean inside.
Let me be honest, this isn't the best Thai cuisine in Burque. It was a bit bland and not very spicy. However, the service and ambiance were hitting the mark and the prices are reasonable. If you want an average Thai meal, this is your spot.
Ignore by server
And they never have mango with rice.
Lovely strip mall made very homey with aquariums and decorative dividers. Busy but efficient. Pleasant waiting area. Does have cold blasts when doors open.
I can see why it's always busy... They take care of you like you are family. Their food it's authentic so much flavor and spicy if that's what you into. The curry it's so delicious we the flavors are there even if it's spicy you still can taste the flavors. Drunken noodles so tasty spicy too but it was delicious. Great place to go get authentic Thai food.
Great food
Always outstanding food and service. I've been coming here for lunch for a few years and they never have an off day. The lunch specials are also a remarkably good value for fresh healthful food in a nice environment.
The food was so good. 🔥
Drunken noodles, pineapple curry, and tapioca pudding are a must try. SO.GOOD. everything else is delicious too.
By far the best Thai in Albuquerque: best food, service and environment.
The best Thai place in Abq! I've never had something here o didn't love. The staff are always amazing
The Green Curry was beyond good, and the shrimp tempura was on an absolute mound of vegetable tempura! Great food, great service!
Delicious 💖
This place is the best authentic Thai food in Albuquerque. It is a known gem, the waiters and attentive and really nice! My favorite food here is the pad Thai and Tom Kah soup! Be aware of the Thai spice! It really has a kick! But it is so worth the it. I appreciate that their wait time
Is usually reasonably and they cook the food out quickly! Definitely a great place for
Date night
Good Pad Thai!
Amazing dinner of great food, great company, and amazing lessons about Thailand! Our trip will be awesome thanks to the info you shared!
Thank you Thai Spice
Amazing food and great service.
Excellent food and superb service.
Very good food!! Friendly service as well.
I had the Tom Yum soup, it was fantastic !
Best Thai food in Albuquerque 😋😋😋👏👏👏
Great place to have dinner alone. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The beef salad and the chicken hot basil stir fry are my favorites.
Super cute delicious restaurant!
A delightful dining experience! Delicious food, good service, and a bright, cheery atmosphere. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. It would be worth waiting if I had to wait four times as long. I had the yellow curry with tofu, and my husband had the pra ram curry. Both were memorable.
The food is sooooooo good. Everything is delicious! Best Thai in town. Super friendly staff to!
This place is always busy and that is a good sign. The food and service are amazing.
Had the red curry and it was great will definitely be back
Excellent food! The best Thai food I have found in Albuquerque. The service was very friendly also.
La comida es una delicia y los precios son muy accesibles.
Always delicious! Excellent lunch special. Super cute decor and friendly waitstaff. Quick service too!
It is so good. I think it has been voted best of the city every year and for good reason. They are pretty busy, so if you're getting a to go, I suggest calling it in. Enjoy!
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Albuquerque. I would definitely recommend this place. Get the egg rolls as an appetizer and you won’t be disappointed. I had the fried rice with chicken Thai spicy. So good. Restaurant 8.5/10
They'll try to charge you twice for things. Make sure to check your receipt! It has happened several times at this establishment. As long as I have eyes I'll keep coming back! Mango sticky rice was amazing 😍
I ordered a green curry, it was so disappointing! It was white, very little flavor, very watery. It was just so diluent.
I asked the weiter to make it thicker he told me it was pre made so they can't make me another one.
I asked for the menu to choose a different dish, he returned after 20 min, he didn't respond and he was very impatient when he finally reached to me to take the alternative order.
Needless to say that I am not going back to this place.
Was a good time, great food, staff was on top of a great experience.
