Overall, my experience at Thai Boran was quite positive. The cleanliness of the facility and the prompt greeting from the staff set a welcoming tone. The efficient service, with quick order-taking and food delivery, was commendable. The staff's recommendations added to the dining experience, although one dish had an off smell and bland sauce. However, the swift resolution by the server to replace it with a shrimp dish reflected their attentiveness to customer satisfaction. Despite this hiccup, the fresh and tasty food, along with the helpfulness of the staff in addressing our concerns, made for an enjoyable visit.
Every time someone asks me for a recommendation for places to eat, I mention Thai Boran.
Iβve been coming here semi regularly for the past couple years and have always had the best experience. From the amazing food to the sweetest and most attentive service. Somehow I always get lucky enough to visit when Josh is in and I always notice that he frequently bops around to all the tables and makes sure everyone is taken care of.
I decided earlier this year that I love visiting so much that itβs gonna be where I have my birthday dinner every year from now on. (That way I get to order all my favorite dishes and everyone just has to share them with me π)
And yesterday I visited with my sister and nephews and itβs definitely baby approved!
The crab rangoon were excellent. We both got curry, which was good but nothing spectacular. The service was excellent and the ambiance was great. Not a huge plan, but still conducive to intimate conversations, so I think itβs an ideal place to bring a date. Would go again.
We were looking for something new, and our kids recommended we try this out. The spring rolls were a delicious choice to start! There was a slight mix up with our entree order, but Josh and Ruben went above and beyond to make it right, without even asking them to. As a manager myself, I like to acknowledge great service when I receive it, and that is exactly what we experienced with these two young men. We will be back again soon!
Delicious!! My husband had a Pad Thai with mild spice but it was not spicy at all so if you want spice go for hot. It was filled with noodles and some shrimp but very little veggies. Next our son had a spicy noodles plate and he to got mild but was not spicy at all also will go for hot next time. He loved his meal. I tried the Mango Salmon recommended by our waitress. It was delicious it was like having a burst of flavors in my mouth. Reminded me of sweet and sour flavors. Kind of like a ceviche with a twist. Sliced carrots, Mango, lemon juice, and cilantro with a mild light spice. Next time I'll add some more spice too. Everything was delicious. We had Thai teas they were the best I've ever had in New Mexico. I'm from Oregon we have lots of selections in food and drinks. So I've had many different Thai teas. The food and the tea here are amazing. The waitress was very helpful and nice. She left the check with my husband but I was paying so I found that funny. We left her a nice tip. The restaurant was clean. It was very cold with the door and air conditioning running is my only complaint all three of us were cold. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. β₯οΈ Thank you for a wonderful delicious experience.
Excellent Thai restaurant in Albuquerque. Food was delicious and service great. I ordered a pad thai which, in many other Thai restaurants may be too dry or too greasy, but this was perfect and with a wonderful taste. Atmosphere is casual, "neighborhood cozy", with reasonable prices.

Food delicious, they take care of you amazingly it's been 5 months yet they treated me like I was there yesterday, very friendly people. Fried rice and pad Thai delicious like always. This is a great place to go get food or sit down and eat there you feel so comfortable being there. Fried rice amazing flavors spicy like I asked for pad Thai the same thing great dishes that's for sure.
If you're looking for a small place where you going to be served great food you going to feel that you are the only person there to be taken care of this is the place. Food service it's great
Delicious food in good portions. Very kind and generous, we will keep coming back and recommending to our friends visiting from out of town.
Great Service, food and atmosphere!!!
Highly recommend.
( I FELT SCAMMED ) WE WERE 12 FRIENDS, THEY SAT US SEPARATE TABLES IN DIFFERENT PLACES AND WHEN THEY CHARGED US, THEY CHARGED US TIP AS IF WE HAD ALL BEEN SAT TOGETHER AT THE SAME TABLE, I FELT SCAMMED
Very low quality. The soup was warm.
This has become one of my favorite places. Everything I have had has been amazing. I especially prefer the BBQ Spare Ribs and Thai Fried Rice. We usually order from here once a week.
Classic choice for Thai on the west side. Open somewhat late for Albuquerque hours. Very polite and considerate service.
I truly adore this place. Small, cozy, and *amazing* food! Highly recommended!!!
My lunch was mediocre and overpriced for what I recieved. Met some friends for a quick lunch and ended up spending $30 after tip for a Thai Iced Tea and a Massaman Curry with shrimp. For $17 the curry was soupy with undercooked potatoes and about 6 medium shrimp and it came with a very small portion of white rice. Flavors were good and the portion was big, but mostly liquid.
Iβd never had traditional Thai. Loved it! It was to go, but atmosphere looked comfortable and welcoming.
I loved the start! Chill people and awesome food! Highly recommend.
Itβs so frustrating that they just randomly stopped taking the NM Restaurant card and now consumers are stuck with a card they canβt use. I only bought it bc I liked Thai Boran and I donβt intend to access the other restaurants.
Very authentic food. Great service. A+++
Worst thai food I've had. Salty with no spice.
Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
The food is delicious and the staff is very attentive and friendly.
I love the penang curry with shrimp.
Great experience and best curry in town. Also try the egg rolls.
When asked what could be made gluten free, I was told some certain noodle dishes. I chose the 53, and was brought undressed, plain noodles with protein and veggies. Literally no sauce or spice or seasoning. When I asked, they said βoh well the sauce they use isnβt gluten free, so we just left it off.β It was really disappointing to not even be alerted that was the case. That is not gluten free, that is sauce-less noodles. When I let them know, they offered to make me something else gluten free. And then charged me for both dishes, despite taking the first dish back. So disappointing.
Very good Thai food. I also just got takeout but the employees were very nice and considerate.
Iβve tried so much Thai food since Thai Boran, and nothing else hits the same. Iβve tried a lot here but here are some favorites: Thai boat soup, pad thai, pad kee mow, pumpkin curry, Thai fried rice, and the tom yum soup! You also canβt go wrong with the appetizers though I prefer the chicken satay or crab rangoons. They also use real Thai chile for the hotter spice levels, which is something I always look for as someone who loves heat in her food. Great staff, sweet owner, just be patient with them if they need it. Sometimes, theyβre slammed with to-go orders :)
Devious food and sweet service!
First time coming here to try a new place. Food didnβt seem fresh. Fresh roll tasted premade and stored in fridge. Rice paper was hard. Also they charge extra for protein. Tofu appetizer only had 8 pieces. Other places give more for same price.
Green curry was flavorless. Tasted a bit watered down and not much of a curry flavor. I prefer other Thai places in town.
Service was great! The waitress was on top of it. Filling our drinks on time. Bringing extra napkins before I was about to ask. The manager was making rounds and checking on customers. The food runner was polite and friendly. The whole vibe was amazing. The food was amazing as always! The management and staff deserve every last bit of credit.
That sticky rice mango had me questioning at 1st but oh my was it fire! I for sure am going back as often that pineapple curry is calling my name next π€€
My friends and I were in tonight (10/10/2024) and it was packed inside and out and these gentlemen had a lot of to go orders and did an awesome job! Service was excellent as was our food! Thank you Malakai and Josh and thank you Thai boran! Will be back with more friends soon(:
Food was great as well as the service, definitely recommend.
I was sadly disappointed, I think the food was ok, I got the glass noodles, coconut chicken soup and eggrolls. Not to mention the prices were more than online. So a bit pricey, small portions for the price and the food was ok.
Shoutout to Josh for being patient and understanding and eventually helping me find the perfect meal for me and my boyfriend. We have never had Thai food before and we loved it and the friendliness of staff and weβll definitely be back!
Every time I come I order either the Thai fried rice, the ribs, or the Tom yum soup and they never disappoint! The service here is great and the manager is very professional and friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone interested in Thai food!
Had Pad See Ew with pork on Saturday afternoon. The staff was pleasant and attentive. My dish was amazing. Very fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend
When Iβm in the mood for curry. Generally go to Tokyo Bangcock but, . Canβt always get thereβ¦.guess what? Stumbled upon this place quite by accident. Tucked away just to the south of flix brewhouse in the same building. Had their green curry with chicken. Had them add a few additional carrots and broccoli pieces, authentic and it was amazing. Kitchen populated with Thai immigrants. Great flavor, plenty of heat. A terrific meal, very close to my home. Highly recommend trying it out.now I have two choices no reason why I canβt do both. and they do deliver too.
Great service and great food!
Aarron and Ruben helped me find the best Thai food across all spacetime. Cnt wait for it to have satiated all of me til the end of the universe itself.
This restaurant continues to get better. For the past three years, they have continued to improve, and the current staff is friendly. The food is superb, flavorful, the spices are hot and delicious. The Thai tea here is absolutely delicious.
Highly recommended. When the servers remember your name, and genuinely care about new customers too it is a winning combination.! Ryan, Ruben, Naomi and of course the rest of the staff, thank you.
Brandon and Christa

Iβve gone to Thai Brian a few times and itβs always been great. Great food and service but this last time was not anything like Iβve experienced there before. My server Gabby did not do a good job at all. She seemed annoyed straight from the get go. Got my order completely wrong and when I brought it up she got mad and didnβt even apologize for it. Was waiting forever and when I got the correct food she only checked on us once and that was to ask if we wanted the check. There wasnβt even that many people there so I donβt understand what the deal was. I will not return if she will be my server
High quality food followed by wonderful service! We will be back soon. I enjoyed the pork chop and my girlfriend loved the mango sticky rice. Thank you Thai boran!!!
Service was amazing and the food was really good!
Went here with my wife since we had heard good things but had never been in. We were very impressed with service and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
I have always had a great experience here, most recently I did an online order and decided to branch out and try something new. Unbeknownst to me one of the dishes had a tomato product in it, the store caught that I had listed an allergy, warned me and helped me find something similar but safe for me to eat. I'm so incredibly grateful for their paying attention and caring about their customers.
The food is FANTASTIC, the service is great π, and the atmosphere is nice! The only reason that I just cannot do 5 βοΈ is because of their prices.π³π«£ I absolutely love Thai food, and Thai Boran meets all expectations- but Iβm sad to say that their prices are a bit outrageousβ¦ I understand that quality has a price, but there is a difference between inflation and gentrification driven price raising.
Reasonable prices open up a restaurant to a larger market of potential customers.
Very nice people great food s.o whoever made my Thai chicken salad!
Pad thai was excellent flavors blended well, crab rangoons were nice and crispy definitely would come again. Atmosphere felt relaxing.
Always a 10/10!
Very small portions and they kept me on hold for 10 minutes before getting disconnected. The mango curry was good though
Excellent, professional, and friendly service with awesome quality food!
Came in today at 8:50 they told me there close for the day. this is been the 3rd time this happens if they donβt wana work until 9:30 change the hours on your website false advertisement
So I came back again today 7/25/24 at 8:30pm now there saying there only taking to go orders is getting worse and worse
Once the waiter served the food, he never came back to refill the tea. The eggplant dish was overly salty and was not spicy as
Always Enjoy the food at Thai Boran.
It's very rare that I do a negative review. They actually close at 8pm not 9:30pm. Thai Boran is not my favorite for Thai food... but I was craving Thai food and they supposedly close later than other places so I came as a last resort. Google and waiter said it closes at 9:30pm. We go there at 8:10pm. They say they stop taking tables at 8pm. So, they really close at 8pm instead of 9:30pm... this place is constantly disappointing. It doesn't deserve all the good ratings.
Used to love this place but the portions have shrunk while price has gone up. We are used to inflation at this point but itβs a bit extreme there now.
The Pai Thai was amazing, as was the pineapple fried rice with the shrimp and chicken. Great service, too. Still great service and food.
Great Thai food! Love ordering their Pad Thai and Silver glass noodle salad.
They never answer the phone to call in an order for pick up. I always see a full staff makes no sense
Rudeness of customer service
I am recovering from surgery so when one of my daughters brought over a container of soup I was not too interested thinking it was just our family tradition of bringing over chicken soup. But the first spoonful changed that! I have no idea which soup it was but it had rice noodles (which I can't have wheat noodles so yay) which we had never thought of putting into soup, cabbage and all kinds of veggies, amazing bites of a sausage and the flavor was amazing. It was 2 servings and I have to say I made it stretch for breakfast and lunch!!
Very tasty authentic Thai food!
Bro the food is horrible. Itβs like a homeless man rubbed his armpit juice all over the food. So much salt I almost had a heart attack. I really donβt think the kitchen is ever cleaned
Stop. Do not dine here. Food is overly oily. Flavors are bland. Staff borderline begs for tips on losey service. Do yourself a huge favor and find another Thai spot.
This place went way down hill. Food was tasteless and the curry was watery. Won't go back. I guess ABQ doesn't know good Thai, otherwise how could they get any good reviews...
My first time here at this restaurant and right when I walked to get a to go order the blonde guy working at the register wasnβt really helpful.. i had said it was my first time and needed recommendations on what to order but he didnβt really seem interested in helping so I got the rice pineapple I thought I seen online before I came in. The crab ragoon for an appetizer is good just idk about this rice.. shrimp seems undercooked.. Iβm a pregnant lady just looking for food..
Delicious food!! My favorite Thai place!! π
Excelente comida, muy rica y buena textura.
Food was not good at all. A lack of care and attention.
Thai tea had a burnt taste, dumpling soup lacked flavor, massman curry was very thin/ watery lacked flavor, tiramisu was a miss as well, pad Thai was alright tho. Food felt rushed.
Not to mention the high prices in the food ....
My favorite Thai restaurant hands down! Staff always goes above and beyond and theyβre super genuine!
I had a long lunch which wasn't anticipated so I decided to pick a new place.
I picked this spot and when I pulled into the parking lot, I could smell the food from my vehicle.
I said a small prayer that the food actually tasted as good as it smelled.
I was not disappointed.
I ordered the roasted duck soup with plums and it was so good I actually laughed out loud when I tasted it. Amazing. I ate so much that I wanted to get in my car and take a nap instead of going back to work. π
I will be bringing my family next week and trying many more things on the menu.
The service was excellent, extremely attentive and fun to talk to. I highly recommend this spot.
Love their spicy wings.
I ordered the red curry, mild, shrimp, add bamboo. I am giving a four instead of a 5 just because they use canned pineapple in the curry, which tastes okay, but makes it less fresh. Other than that it tasted on point and was cooked properly!
Honestly, I didn't even get to eat.
You have one poor soul running around trying to help everyone in here, and I sat for 20 minutes and never got helped, so I had to leave.
The kid is managing the take outs, tables, running food, cleaning, everything.
Get him some help, please. Sorry, kid.
My girl can't get enough of this place. Especially the pad thai n the money bags. I love it.
A nice hidden gem with a great view over Abq and amazing staff. Definitely try their BBQ porkchops and spareribs. I've been here twice and I plan to keep coming back!
UPDATE: Thai Boran ROCKS! We tried the pork rib dinner and the Kung Pow entree with jasmine rice. Both were EXCELLENT.
For dessert, we tried the fried banana medallions and ice cream. YUM!
Located on the south side of Flix Brewhouse from Flix Brewhouse, on Coors NW.
This place was simply Amazing. Food was so good and spice level was spot on. I had Mango Curry (Medium spice) Glad i didn't go for hot!!!.Wife had the Egg Plant and loved it! (she didn't even share!!) But what really made this place stand out to me was the 2 young men that were working there. These guys were very pleasant and were constantly moving. Whether it was taking an order getting drinks, bringing food, or sweeping the floor and wiping the tables. Not one time did i see either one of these guy stop to look at there phone or even really not move. It was definately noticed by us as well as others that were in the restaurant. Highly recommend giving this place a try!!!!
Restaurant is on the small side (about 10 tables), but both times i have been there, we were seated right away!! If i could give it more than 5 stars i would!!!
Really great Tai food
I want to start by saying Iβve eaten here many times and have done takeout twice. Today I ordered nearly $70 worth of takeout (including tip) and was extremely disappointed with the lack of portion size given for the cost. Portions are much larger when dining in and that should not change when ordering takeout. I would not recommend ordering takeout from here.
Diner type Thai restaurant with some other offerings, like ramen. Food was good on par with some of the other Thai restaurants.
Flavors are amazing! Great service and atmosphere.
The rice container was 3/4 full and Stale, the orange chicken was simple and just ok! I was shocked by the price we paid And how little bit of food there was! Last time for me here. Way more food at Thai spice on paseo & Wyoming.
Awesome experience great food always
Definitely Recommend for Thai food in the metro area! Ruben our server was awesome and very knowledgeable about the cuisine!!
Been coming since 2018!!
We have been coming to Thai Boran for years. Most of the times when we go eat here, it is great. However, today, the new staff member (Ruben) must not have completed the customer service training. First when we tried to call and put in a pick up order, he answered and then hung up. And when we tried to call back, the phone signal responded as busy. So then we had to go and put the pickup order in by person. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't very busy. When we asked about the phone issue, Ruben, smugly and rudely responded by dismissing the questions and continued to become more rude if we asked again. While we waited for the order, at least another staff member working there was friendly and empathetic for Ruben's rudeness. We hope the management see's this review and educates Ruben that while he is working, he is representing the restaurant.
We never had this issue before!
Definitely recommend this place
Great food and service all in one
The service was absolutely amazing!! I canβt handle spice whatsoever. However when I ordered my entree with no spice, it was still very spicy for me personally. They offered to remake it and they did, but it was still spicy. We told the servers and they were very apologetic and sweet about it and took it off our check, allowing me to pick a different dish. The second dish worked for me and was delicious. I would absolutely come here again for the service alone because the servers were so kind. 10/10 recommend
Tried the "larb" entree and was not disappointed. The veggies with it were fresh and crisp.
I was pleasantly surprised on the quality and taste of the food along with the excellent service. Definitely going back
Ordered delivery for the first time. Food came pretty fast, but all the dishes were mid at best. All protein were pretty dry and bland. We order pad see ew, pad thai, thai wings, larb, and crab ragoon. Honestly nothing taste very good, the only thing with any flavor was the larb. The wings were just boneless chicken pieces with sweet and sour sauce, not what I expected at all. We paid for delivery so we knew it was gonna be pricey, but really not worth it in the end.
The crab rangoon were excellent. We both got curry, which was good but nothing spectacular. The service was excellent and the ambiance was great. Not a huge plan, but still conducive to intimate conversations, so I think itβs an ideal place to bring a date. Would go again.
This is a great little Thai restaurant on the Westside next to Flix Brew House. The food is great. You can pick your level of spiciness. Service is friendly, and food comes out quickly and is hot and fresh. Since it's not too large of a restaurant, the atmosphere is often nice and quiet.
Paid $40 for hardly any food and it was mediocre.
Curry was watery and had barely any rice.
Shrinkflation at its finest. Iβd pass on this place if I were you.
Thai Boran is located on La Orilla Road just past the Flix Brewhouse in a connected building. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. There are no stairs, so patrons using wheelchairs will have no issues, and the indoor seating is very size-accommodating for large-bodied patrons.
I ordered the curry fried rice, which came with celery, onions, carrots, yellow curry, and a protein, for which I chose fried tofu. I requested they add cashews to the dish, which wasnβt an issue. The tofu was tough and overcooked, so I didnβt enjoy it. The dish came medium instead of the mild I ordered. The rice itself was dry, so the whole dish was somewhat hard to eat.
The service was friendly and the food came fast, although I think the latter was a detriment as they could have spent more time on quality rather than speed.
Edit: I've been going here since they opened and it's just not the same anymore.
My yellow Curry wasn't even yellow, it was like white queso colored and barely had any curry flavor to it. On top of that, I had literally the container only a quarter full of fillings, the rest was all broth.
I don't know what's happened, but portions have gotten extremely skimpy, my curry literally didn't have any curry spice/taste to it, and we've determined we're not returning anymore.
I feel bad that they have to put up a sign begging for tips.
Old review from 2018: While sometimes this place may seem over packed and understaffed the food is always quick and delicious. My partner always explains that the yellow curry is the warmth of fall giving you an amazing hug.
Best shrimp Pad Thai!
We have eaten here for several years. Itβs always been mediocre at best but about the only choice on the west side. Today was our last time eating here. The chicken satay was very dry. I ordered the pad se ew. Got home and opened it up and the container was barely above 1/4 full. I paid $15 for a portion the size of a cup of noodle soup. The beef was so tough it was almost inedible. Over the last year especially the food quality has gone way down and the portions keep getting smaller and smaller. I wouldnβt advise anyone to eat here. Itβs a rip off and we wonβt go back there again. The $100 that we spend here to feed our family will be better spent at a different restaurant.
We called at about 850 while driving in the area to double check what time they seat until were told by the worker Angelique that they were seating until 9. We got there at 854 and she turned us away. If this restaurant is listed at closing at 930 they shouldn't turn customers away before 9 it's ridiculous if they don't have enough customers they should officially change their hours so they don't drive away potential customer.
We had an awesome dinner!! The staff is so friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back!
This is a very nice restaurant with good service. It is a small restaurant so when they are busy it can fill up. I really like this place and would recommend it to anyone.
First visit and ordered the shrimp tempura and spicy mango chicken. The shrimp were so tender they melted in my mouth, but the tempura they use is not the usual Japanese style, so expect that.
The spicy mango chicken (which i got with medium spice, ((they do ask which level spice you would like)) was outstanding. I ordered Jasmine rice with it and that tames the spice a bit.
I expect that the rest of their menu is just as amazing, so Iβm looking forward to the next visit.
Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Clean, not too loud considering the dining area is on the smaller size. They do have outdoor seating for the nicer weather and parking is plentiful.
Tried this restaurant for the first time. Atmosphere is nice and customer service was good. Unfortunately the food was not. Will not be returning.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the Crab Rangoon, Papaya Salad and Orange Chicken. Delicious!!!! I will definitely be coming back!
This was our third time eating here and probably will be our last, due to an overall bad experience. First they mixed up my husbandβs order and he had to wait quite some time, watching me while I started to eat my dinner, which was not very hot temperature-wise. The service was poor, with no one offering to refill our water or an apology for the long wait for my husbandβs dish. This was very disappointing.
Have to change my review after several years. Not much food for the price and they give you an unbelievably small amount of rice. We ordered several curries and sweet & sour. They gave us one tiny container of rice. Not enough for a single curry. Forget it, Iβll drive across town for a real Thai joint
The food itself is great, at least what we usually order. I could get it on a daily basis. However, my patience with this establishment is running quite thin in terms of service. This time around, they didnβt add our rice that comes with the entree, despite being on the receipt so I know they got it. A dish that was suppose to be no spice definitely had spice. The person who it was for was borderline vomiting as a result. A time before this we ordered a gyoza and crab rangoon, both boxes had the name written on them but were both crab rangoon. I want to give a better rating because the food is genuinely good but I simply cannot when they mess up our order a good 50% of the time. The rice portions also seem quite a bit smaller since they switched to cardboard boxes but that could be the difference in size. I expect more from a place of this expense, where rice, amongst the cheapest grains, is $15.
I got the eggplant curry with steamed tofu. Very flavorful. And just the right amount of spices. Their ginger tea was also good.
I started dining/take-outs from Thai Boran during the pandemic and numerous times that Iβve ordered here, not once have they disappointed me. Love the taste of the food. Very considerate towards vegetarians and not once have I noticed any lapses in service. My wife and I love dining here and have come in both during busy times and lazy hours and theyβve always upheld the quality of the food and service. One of my favorites in the 505.
My wife and I shared green curry rice/chicken and pad thai. So good I could eat it any day.
Unless you like easy bake oven kitchens, donβt eat here. Everything they serve tastes and seems like they just put it in a microwave. We ordered ramen and got ramen noodles from the package. We also had the pineapple curry and it was over salted and sugared. The service is a bunch of young and rude kids. The two times that we have gone here we have never gotten our order correct.
Went with the bride and were very impressed with the quality of the food and excellent service!!!
Mediocre food, it seems like they where good a while back due to the pictures posted but the food is of low quality for the price, its about $5 more per plate compared to other tai places I've been. Great service
This restaurant has an amazing scenery of mountains, one of the best local places to see sunset. Their food are better than many aisian foods in ABQ. Monday is much less crowded there. Their services are always friendly and efficient. We love this restaurant.
The food was delicious. Would definitely come here again.
My first time there and I really liked it. I got the fried ginger salmon, my friend got some kind of soup, both were delicious. My friend got a cold Thai tea drink, it was delicious! The chocolate lava cake was wonderful and the service was excellent.
Seriously, this was the best Thai Iβve ever had and the service was fantastic.
This restaurant used to be the best Thai restaurant, but today, I am in shock with quality and taste. The food was so salty and dry that I had to ask a remake. It tastes like drinking ocean water. Egg plants were not cooked for almost crunch, which I never used in that texture. I guess this will be the last visit for us. The service was great.
Good but not impressive. Small portions for the price.
Okay great food but definitely spicy medium. Waiter was amazing, atmosphere pretty and clean.
Got take out. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Great food and great service! Came on an unusually busy day, however, and there was a lot of waiting and no refills. 2 servers were trying to serve 13 tables on top of cashing out for the people that ordered food to go. They did an amazing job overall considering the amount of people they had to serve. Definitely will be back but try to avoid busy hours.
Terrible!! Iβd give this s place a zero if that were an option. I ordered online at 1:30 for a 3:00 pickup. Got an email saying order would be ready by 2:25. Showed up at 3:00 and they hadnβt even started the order. Why provide an online takeout option if you canβt handle it. Waitress out front was rude and belligerent. Nothing good to say about this place. Avoid it.
One of my favorite restaurants in ABQ. Amazing every time!
Always LOVE their food!!!
I ordered the surprise sea food and believe me it was a surprise. No sea food was on the dish, the flavor was very good but I could not belive they charge 19.00 for a Plate that is is a scam 3 shrimp, I buy a bag at sams with at least 60 large shrimp for 15.00 the were small, 3 oysters and 3 small slices of calamari. Absolutely a rip off screw this restaurant has the potential but rip offs like this is unacceptable.
As a fan of this classic noodle dish from Thailand, I am very disappointed!
This is not a Boat Noodle dish. Not even close!
It is more like an amateur take on PhΓ³ that donβt have the key ingredients.
Come on chef! Just look up Thai Boat Noodles on YT and learn how to creat this dish!
I had the Tofu Pad Thai with a side of peanut sauce, and I am craving more!! π Amazing food!! Nice little view too, probably a cute date night place!
Really good service and food β€οΈ
Server/busser didn't know difference btwn Tonkahtsu/ Miso soup. Waiter interfaced with us twice, & to get payment/credit card. Had to ask other servers for sides, extra rice & dessert. Masaman potatoes were borderline undercooked. Busses server did a good job.
My lips are still burning from the tasty, medium heat, red curry with steamed tofu and rice. We were first happily greeted and given time to consider the many options. There are great vegan options available too. In addition to the red curry we tried the Spicy Noodles with fried tofu. Both dishes had fresh ingredients and tons of flavor and the heat we asked for. Wonderful staff and delicious food were worth the price. I highly recommend giving Thai Boran a try.
Found hair and a fly in my food.
We had a great time! Food was great and service was great
The atmosphere is so cute, food was hot and came out fast, Tito is the best server! Highly recommended!
Thai Boran opened up and we were there for the Grand Opening! Every dish we had was exactly what we expected from a Thai Food Restaurant! Since then, we have had Thai Food delivered and also picked up our orders. The Beef Plate, The Yellow Curry Chicken w/Jasmine Rice, The Ramen, and Mango & Sticky Rice are our FAVS!
I had high hopes due to the high ratings. I was not impressed. Those ratings must not try Thai very often.
I literally can't say enough great things about this restaurant. Absolutely stellar service. Amazing food cooked perfectly to order and lm planning on coming back to ABQ solely for Thai boran!!! I've been twice in 2 months and both times was outstanding. Do yourself a favor and eat here!!! I got Thai red curry and it was out of this world good! You cannot go wrong with this fantastic spot!!! Customer for life!!
Literally my favorite Thai restaurant in Rio. That being said, donβt post your hours as being open until 9:30 on the door, the website, and Yelp if you are going to deny customers service at 9PM. I drove 20 minutes to come eat here after a long work day just to be told the kitchen was no longer servicing orders. Love your food to death but this was incredibly frustrating.
Unfortunately, this place isnβt good. We just moved here (from fort myers, Florida where apparently they have really good Thai food).. and are looking for our go to Thai restaurant, this will NOT be it.
The crab rangoons were alright.. but fried too long so way too crunchy and dry and not enough dipping sauce. The gyoza were bland. The βspicy noodleβ was the worst drunken noodle Iβve ever had. The flavor was non-existent. No spice anywhereβ¦ I even ordered medium. Had to add teriyaki sauce at home for any kind of flavor. Husband got the pumpkin curry and his was decent and at least properly spiced. My first clue should have been the two white hipster teenagers in the kitchen. Waste of $70, wonβt be back.
Best Thai food in town.
We love TB but since COVID their prices have sky rocketed and now their food has been hit and miss. Literally just picked up food and combo fried rice had no shrimp in it. No notification but they sure did charge full price even though we did not get what we ordered.
Not a bad place a little high price, but good portions
The food is delicious, service is fast, and friendly. Itβs a great place to stop for Thai food and relax while looking out the windows.
Delicious food and great service!
Customer service was really good. The noodle soup i got had no flavor at all. Teriyaki chicken with noodles tasted like maple syrup and lots of sugar. Ive gone here in the past and it was good but this time i was definitely disappointed.
6/25/23, 6:30pm.
The service and food was amazing ;)
Everyone was so friendly π
Updated 5/14/23 - calling in a pickup order is still a horrendous experience. At first they answered and put me on hold immediately, then ignored me for 10 minutes before hanging up on me. Then every attempt to call back over the next hour was busy.
So I drove to the restaurant and spoke a smart aleck blonde kid named Ryan, who pretended to not know their phone was off the hook.
This restaurant has great food, but their customer service is the worst.
Yes yes yes! So delicious and delightful! Worth the drive to Albuquerque! We had the chicken gyoza with ginger sauce and it was amazing! I had the Nam Sod and it was perfect. My friend had the Panang curry and she wouldnβt stop raving about how delectable it was. We finished off our meal with some Mango sticky rice, and it was pure perfection! ππππππππππππ
The service was A+ as well. Will most definitely be back.
I rate a thai restaraunt by its pad thai, this was pretty good!
Thai Boran actually has amazing service and are so welcoming! I hadn't been there in years and took some friends to try it for the first time a few days and everything was as good as I remember. One of the three front of house team members would come and check back with us consistently and they were very friendly each time. They were knowledgeable and helped us decide on spice levels, and which rice. Everything was nice and piping hot when brought out, very delicious flavors.
I personally recommend the Money Bags as an appetizer because they are adorable and delicious, a very fun item to share with a group.
We love thai food and like to try new places, and thought we would try these guys. But their staff was not interested in earning a 1st time customer.

Absolute impatient jerks on the phone, one snotty girl and one condescending dude that just didn't care about service or explaining their menu and she hung up on us. I called back and the dude could not explain the menu either.
My go to for Thai food! Tried a few different other places and I didnβt like it. Food is always good & fresh, love this place!

Food service it's great
Please get a phone that works!
So to start the food came out super fast like we ordered and within maybe 5 minutes it was out. It all tastes good only reason they get a 3 star instead of 4 was because I'm pretty sure I found a hair in my dish. By over good food (average price of a plate is about $14.50)
Thai Boran is great! Easy to navigate gluten free and the Pineapple Curry is amazing.
Ive been coming here for almost a year and I absolutely love it here. I have not had a single bad experience here. I make my mission at least once a month to come here with my wife
