New Thai & Japanese Restaurant located on San Mateo and Candelaria, Albuquerque NM
Let’s Eat Thai Cuisine is a decent little Thai restaurant located in the La Mesa Shopping Center strip mall next door to Manning Florist and the Albuquerque Flower Market. There’s a large shared parking lot for free parking.
All seating is indoors. There are booths and standalone tables, so patrons in wheelchairs won’t have any issues.
I tried the pineapple fried rice and the pad Thai.
The pineapple fried rice was served in a hollowed-out pineapple with fresh pineapple pieces. I enjoyed the raisins and cashews in it, and it had a good consistency, not being too oily or too dry. I’d order it again.
The pad Thai was very bland and a disappointment. Both my friend and husband also thought the dish was a boring, tepid entree. It isn’t something I’d get there again.
Overall, it’s a decent restaurant, but there are better options in the city. If you do go, steer clear of the pad Thai unless you like unimaginable noodles without much flavor.
I wouldn’t recommend this place as rice was hard and under cooked, chicken was raw and undercooked.
The Noodle bowl had beef that tastes old and had a weird taste. My family and I spend more than fifty dollars for food that was not so good!
The atmosphere was ok and service wasn’t good. Waitress never checked on our table after she served the food. we had to ask for items missing from the dish. The table and chairs could use a bit more cleaning . My family and I were going to walk out, but we thought we would try it anyways, food was very disappointing and not so great!
We were looking for some authentic Thai food so we came to this place inside of a strip mall. They have living plants in the entrance which is a good sign, and the colorful atmosphere with lots of trinkets. The walls were extremely dirty by the booth, and there was no music but a children's cartoon on the TV for atmospheric audio.
The waitress forgot about the appetizers, but the meals were delicious and so was the Thai iced tea. Once we got our food they did put on some music but the kids TV show was still the most prevalent sound in the air.
The food was pretty authentic in our opinion and you get quite a lot of food for a good price. I just think the cleanliness could have been a lot better, so I didn't give it a high score for atmosphere.
Great Thai restaurant! Support local businesses and eat great food at the same time. Reasonably priced and a good quantity of food. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with what I would assume is authentic Thai decor. I recommend you check Let’s Eat Thai Cuisine out!
The food here is really great. My girlfriend and I went and they were very accommodating. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Let’s Eat Thai absolutely swept me into a world of vibrant flavors and authentic Thai cuisine that’s hard to forget. The moment you step inside, you’re embraced by an inviting atmosphere and the enchanting aromas of spices and herbs. The red curry, a tantalizing medley of rich, creamy coconut milk and a perfect blend of spices, left me savoring every bite, while the green curry presented a beautifully balanced symphony of sweet and spicy notes that were truly phenomenal. Each dish not only delighted the palate but also conveyed the incredible mastery behind the traditional recipes. Can’t wait to return to this culinary gem!
I visited in-person before but was a bit disappointed with my first delivery order from Lets Eat Thai Cuisine. Thai restaurant is one of my favorite places to go - specially fried rice the one I always pick. I had online delivery of spicy fried rice with chicken. Unfortunately, the food was not spicy at all, rather chili came separately as a side which I didn’t expect. They could’ve asked spicy level during order. Rice was cooked with rotten bean that made the entire dish tasteless! The beans were difficult to bite out.... besides the cucumbers were totally rotten, so couldn’t eat them. I have tried this similar fried rice in some other Thai restaurants - so I can tell the difference. I understand every one has their own recipes and cooking style but the food could’ve tasty by utilizing proper amount of sauce and salt, and of course with not rotten beans or cucumbers.
The wife and I were in town for the weekend and stopped by on a friend’s recommendation and we were not disappointed. Best Thai food I’ve had since being overseas in the military. Great food at a fair price.

Great Tom Yum Kha soup!
It's ok, it's all the same as other restaurants like this, and typically you'll wait a while. The good thing is the two ladies seem genuine and kind
Delicious food, fast and friendly service, good prices, big portions, healthy plants.
We were pleasantly surprised! Fresh ingredients made for delicious meal.
Went and picked up food let's just say it was some of the worst food I have had in awhile seafood was over cooked and rubbery it was basically chewing on gum at thay point the rice was so Over cooked it was mush for 87 dollars will not be going back
Food was fantastic. Service was great. Everything you hope for when you want a nice dinner out with the spouse.
The crab pad Thai was amazing!!
That homemade taste. Impressed they make their own chili oil.
Immediate food poisoning.
Door dashed, but it was amazing
Good food, at a good price, and they are fast.
A real gem. Delicious food with friendly service.
I ordered the food from Uber eats. I had Laos papaya salad, larb pork, spicy fried rice, yellow curry, and Thai beef jerky. I must say, everything was perfect except the jerky. That was ok. The rest, very authentic Thai flavors. So delicious. I'm Thai myself, so I know good Thai food when I eat it. My go-to place for Thai cuisine from now on when I'm in Albuquerque.
Delicious
My partner and I eat here and least twice a month and frankly it's one of our favorite restaurants maybe even our favorite.
They recognize us there and it's always so delightful to walk in to their sweet smiles and greeting.
Food was super good, people are super nice, been coming for a while and never had a problem, will be coming back for years to come I LOVE IT.
Kind people, great food! Thank you
Let me just say, employee June and the entire staff to the owner of the restaurant are kind, and go out of their way!! The food is tasty, quality and exceptional! I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND eating here or takeout! Thank you for making this original Uber Eats order perfect for my husband and I! This order ended up being delivered by June one of the amazing staff members from the restaurant and I couldn’t be happier!! Thanks again June and Eat Thai First staff!! Can’t wait to come back and eat again!! A+++++++++! I’m providing 100 stars ⭐️
There is an odor Inside the restaurant, like it’s been too many different restaurants without a fresh coat of paint. My friend ordered two dishes. The larb had the strangest flavor the other they burned the eggs and so everything tasted like burnt eggs. I had the pineapple curry. It was like the consistency of a thin soup and was incredibly bland. No spice, and no flavor. Pretty disappointing experience after reading all of the previous reviews. The couple behind us had a small dog in a little blue dress licking the table. Waste of time and money.
Only been there twice and thecstaff are always so freindly and their food is always the best. I love the atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome
Great place. Me and my honeys favorite place to eat by far.
So, so, good! Fresh, hot, flavorful food served by the sweetest, cutest, friendliest staff. Desserts to die for. I plan to return often.

My meal was delicious!
We live in the neighborhood and get takeout from here all the time and it is ALWAYS delicious!! The owners clearly care about their business, the quality and service are always top notch.
Small place with Large flavors.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Will be returning.
Food is great! Love their Chicken Pad Thai. They also do "Thai Hot" if that's your thing. Workers are Asian (from Thailand?), which means it's likely authentic food!
I’ve visited and lived in Thailand 5 different times in my life. I know what good Thai food tastes like and I’ve taken Thai cooking classes in Thailand;
We ordered 5 dishes. 1 dishes was good, 1 was mediocre and the other 3 were just plain BAD.
1.The teriyaki chicken bowl was drenched with teriyaki sauce. (It’s not Thai food but still) Couldn’t even eat the rice. Only ate half the chicken on top.
2.Papaya salad was good but they didn’t properly grind the ingredients together and some ingredients were missing.
3.The soup was ok, they added way too much onion as a filler and this is not a normal ingredient that is added to this soup, it also had no taste but I was so hungry that I only had 1 small bowl, then brought the leftovers home to fix the taste.
4.Pad Thai was very sticky I couldn’t separate the noodles. Also brought it home to fix the problem.
5. Their pork Larb was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. It literally tasted like it was burnt and was covered with seasoning to override the burnt taste. I do not recommend this dish at all.
I didn’t take pictures because the dish presentation was well put together. I give them that much.
I do appreciate that she took the Pork Larb off my bill. But I do feel that it was way too expensive for the rushed experience and the quality of the food.
We won’t be back but do wish them well.
I love this restaurant. The Pad Thai is so good, and the red curry is my favorite in town. My wife and kids love the Mango Sticky Rice.
Average Thai cuisine with fast and friendly service

Great Thai food. The Peanut chicken is really good. The laup is also good, ask for light or ,med, hot for taste. Love it.

Great food and service!
thank you
Nice Restaraunt
Delishous in so many ways! Thanks for being so sweet!
We got take out. The service was quick but the food was awful. You can check my history, I don't leave negative reviews but this was really bad. I sent pictures of the food to restaurant asking if this was a normal night, they never responded.
The $18 Salmon Teriyaki bowl was so bad no one wanted to eat it. The veggies were oily and the salmon was burnt; very little seasoning or sauce. The Pad See Ew was oily and burnt- the noodles cooked to a mushy consistency. Chicken Satay was 3 thin slices of chicken, maybe an ounce each. No seasoning and the very small amount of peanut sauce had separated- had to dump the oil out first.
Walked in the Host was very busy and looked like she was the only one there Did an awesome job.. Walked in asked for DD and then she went and was packaging to go items for delivery a lot of people walking in waited to be seated. multitasker very good service so I asked for order she pointed 1 min .so I sat at a table as I was watching her she is very good at what she does and deserves a raise. The atmosphere was relaxing and looked very comfortable like a Chinese restraunt picked up order and left..
I got the coconut soup and it was good. My daughters got the Pho and the noodle soup. We all enjoyed our meal. The wraps with peanut sauce was so yummy too.
Best dumpling 🥟 and spring rolls and egg drop soup
Fabulous! The Pad Thai delicious. The Tom Kha Kai mouth watering. Good job.
The chicken drunken noodles were the best I've ever had in Albuquerque period!!! And I've tried a few places trust me... The chicken sautée was gud as well!!! I will be back!!!
Ordered for delivery. Crispy tofu stirfry with basil, medium spicy. Generous portion . The green beans were a great addition. Also ordered as an appetizer the dumplings …excellent will order here again.
Great Rad Nah!
This food hit the spot on a cold night. The soup we had was flavorful, but could use a touch more substance (like noodles?) to round it out nicely. Fried rice is good, and mango sticky rice was even better. Service was great even for a Friday night.
The food is absolutely disgusting. Over cooked eggs, watered down, tasteless broth, terrible pad Thai sauce. Everything is just gross.
You’re better off cooking a bottom shelf, frozen dinner from a shell station.
I have been eating at Let’s Eat Thai since it opened. I live in the neighborhood. I like Thai cuisine a lot and I have an idea of what I’m looking for when I order Thai cuisine. When I first started going to Let’s Eat Thai it was good. Finally some good Thai cuisine in ABQ. But as I continued to be a customer at this restaurant the food has increasingly gotten worse. The papaya was only sweet. And all the other dishes tasted unseasoned, bland, and not enjoyable. Tossed all food. I imagine they changed their cook, I wish they didn’t.
Delicious Thai food! We walked into the restaurant around 2:45 pm and they sat us right away and brought out the food in no time. I was thinking to myself the food is delicious but why is this place so empty? I didn't realize they closed at 3 pm until we were almost done eating. The server didn't say a word and I felt so bad. They were polite and provided a great service! And their pumpkin curry was so delicious!
Love this place. I go here all the time with my partner. I've tried many different plates on the menu and all of them have been delicious! Plus the staff is super friendly.
Just thought food was average.
Delicious and one of my top faves. Really organic and tastes the most like actual Thai food.
The food was very good and all the vegetables were fresh and crisp. They were very busy with takeout orders, but did pretty well getting our order out anyway. also came to check back with us even though they were very busy with all the takeout orders.
Always fresh..lots of chicken!
Beautiful 😍 Friendly and Excellent food :)
I love this restaurant. The food and service are excellent.
Great menu, good selection, appetizers were great!
Delicious! Delivery was fast with Uber eats.
Best Thai food in Albuquerque
I feel bad giving this review. The owner has always been very nice to me.
First several times I ate here the food was fantastic. It has been a while since my last visit and things seem to be in decline.
1) Tom ka kai
This was wrong. It had more vegetables than soup. I might be wrong but cabbage, carrots, and broccoli do not belong in this. The flavor of the soup was over powered by the onions. This is supposed to be a soup. Not a wet stir fry.
2) Pad kra pao (chicken)
I was given the wrong dish. Something about a miscommunication with the kitchen. They took back whatever the first dish was and just added basil to it. No sauce and by the second stir fry way over cooked. Same thing here with the onions.
When I pointed out the issues they said I didn’t have to pay. This is a nice gesture, and I offered to pay for the soup. I would rather have had the food made correctly. But they are so busy with Uber eats and other takeout I think they just wanted me to leave.
Thai food is about balancing contrasting flavors. This is why it is so enjoyable. This place used to be close to perfect. I hope they turn it around.
Excellent food, great presentation. Had a panann curry and the pad Thai, just excellent. Large portions. Highly recommended.
Tasty Thai food. I have eaten from almost all Thai restaurant in Albuquerque and this is one of my top places. Not crowded, friendly staff, and most importantly very tasty food.
literally the worst pad kee mao I have ever put in my mouth. Who ever was cooking today (9-11-22), fire them. This is nowhere near my first experience here. Not a spice to be found in my food. just gross.
Tonkotsu Curry is good. Will order again.
Delicious. Open late. Great service.
I have been here 6 or more times since being in Albuquerque for not even 3 months from Seattle where we are spoiled with delicious foods and restaurants everywhere. This is right up there with some of my favorite Thai spots from the Seattle area. That is saying a lot. I highly recommend this spot!
Absolutely delicious. Came after church with a group of friends and everyone was happy. The pumpkin curry was amazing, the Thai coffee was great and all the dishes were presented with such artistic food-creativity. Definitely will be back!
We love this restaurant. The food fresh and so tasty . We love the curries . My favorite is the green or pumpkin curry . The staff is very friendly and will accommodate any food allergies if they can or if you have a picky kid who won’t eat a certain item they will omit it .
After about a year this is still my favorite Thai restaurant in New Mexico. Absolutely delicious Thai food! I definitely recommend the dumplings and Pineapple curry.
We had fried rice. Not much meat, but it was good. The waitress was attentive. It's the first place that I ever saw where the employees take up the parking spaces directly in front of the business..
Second time ordering through Door dash and from order to delivery was 20~ minutes. Super fast! 4mi
The curry is delicious. Good amount of veggies and protein and asked for 3/5 spice. Just right :). Makes your nose run but doesn't punish your tongue. Decent rice portion but you'll need an extra side for the full curry portion.
The satay and condiments are delicious. Juicy with a little bit of char for that grill flavor. Spiced and seasoned well. The peanut sauce is sweet salty and savory .
Definitely top 2 in town :)
Was very excited to try this place based on the reviews and I walked away disappointed. My pad see ew tasted like chow mein, and didn't have any of the soy sauce taste that is crucial to the dish. I also ordered the Thai samosas and... They didn't taste like anything. The fried wonton didn't taste like anything nor did the filling...They were lukewarm and tasteless. Won't be going back.
Nice and quiet, very nice staff, reasonably priced.
Update:
Went in person and had the green curry which was really good although I did not enjoy the green beans in it (personal taste). Daughter had orange chicken and said she loved it. Also had the mango, sticky rice. Beautiful presentation of mango flower.
Had the mango sticky rice. It was really good. Not overly milky. My daughter likes it a little chewier (there's a place in Idaho that makes it perfectly in her eyes). We may be back for this one, but we're on the hunt :).

Stopped by Let's Eat Thai Cuisine since my usual Pho eatery is closed on Mondays.
I had enjoyed orders from this restaurant thru DoorDash several times. This was my first dine-in experience there.
The soups and appetizers are as great tasting as the decor is lacking in ambiance.
I strongly recommend the Thai Pho and Tom Yum soups and the Thai Money Bags and the Vegetable Tempura.
The Thai Pho is a beef broth based soup. The Tom Yum a sweet and sour delight to which we added some tofu for protein.
The Vegetable Tempura is 10 pieces, 2 each of pumpkin, onion, mushroom, carrot and broccoli lightly fried to perfection.
I haven't tried the noodle dishes yet, so I cannot give a report on those.
Worth a try!
By far my fav place to get yellow Curry! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. So glad I discovered Let's Eat Thai! I can't wait to try their other Curry dishes!
Great Thai food! Best we have had in 12 years. Will be back again. Great curry. Fresh veggies, beautiful presentation.
We placed an order through Grubhub tonight, never having tried this restaurant before. The red curry was hot and on point and the Tai Money Bags we’re amazing! Would definitely recommend.
I’ve been to numerous places hoping to find real quality combination rice an this place is a hidden treasure. I walked in the restaurant an immediately felt comfortable the decor was beautiful an the sounds of people enjoying the food made me happy.
Good basil chicken
Excellent service and food
This place is a hidden gem! Our food was fast, fresh and delicious! The staff was awesome and friendly. We had chicken pad Thai, yellow curry, chicken satay and egg rolls. Definitely going back!
Good service and the mango sticky rice was excellent
Fresh, excellently prepared Thai cuisine at competitive prices. Wonderful, attentive wait staff! 👍😋
Great food. It's local, good people and very affordable.
Mango Sticky rice is great! Quick delivery- all great flavors and quality. Thank you!
All I can say is wow. This place is amazing I had Tom Kha and pad kee mow. I think this is the best Thai I’ve had in ABQ
5 min service times. Delicious! G69
Delicious!!!!
Excellent pad Thai! And great customer service as well. This is my new go-to for Thai food.
But they forgot my vegetables; in my Vegetables delight lunch special meal!!! O well!! The added tofu and appetizer tempura made up for it!!!! Yummmm!!!!
I have been to Thailand twice and believe me this is the perfect representation of Thai food. I had the Tom Kha Gai (Thai Coconut Chicken Soup) and most definitely...authentic.
Loved their food!!! A definite must try!
Very disappointed with my first visit to Lets Eat Thai! I was very excited to try this place, because Thai food is one of my absolute favorites and this place had a location that is very convenient for me! Their menu looked great and the pictures on their social media looked even better!
The appetizers were very good- we got the fried tofu and fried wonton wrapped shrimps. Unfortunately, my pad Thai was cooked with very rotten bean sprouts that made the entire dish taste of dirty water! And theyre extremely difficult to pick out.... Besides that it was tasty but couldve used a bit more sauce. Bean sprouts are very noticable when theyve gone bad so if you see that theyre rotten, why not just leave them off??! That's my advice to any cook, honestly.
Ordered red curry, it’s not up to the mark but not bad though.
Very fairly priced Thai restaurant. The food was ready very quickly, and was great.
Update: they now can make your food very spicy if you ask!
My girl loves to buy the egg drop soup from this place and I got to tell you that I don't really like that type of food but when I try hers especially the egg drop soup it is really good and it's great for when you're sick and need to get some energy and fluids in you so yeah check it out if you like this type of food
My friend and I came here to eat today. I had ordered miso Ramen and my friend had orders a salmon bowl. Aside from the long wait for the food, my friends order was wrong. She ended up getting a teriyaki chicken bowl, and my ramen just wasn't a taste I like. I had told the waitress that I didn't like the ramen and I would like to get the same thing my friend got. The waitress had told me "I have to charge you for both." I was a little frustrated with that but I just agreed since I was hungry. After the waitress had informed my friend that she gave her the wrong food. I would definitely not recommend this place because of the poor service. The place does not deserve the star reviews it has.
Very clean the staff was professional and the food was absolutely amazing, best Thai we have had here in Albuquerque, Thank you Let's Eat Thai
Doesn't deserve 7 stars. It's okay!
The food is beautifully presented, very fresh, and delicious. We tried the yellow curry, the Tom Kha soup, and the Thai "money bags" and were in love with every dish. I can't wait to go back and eat there again!
Great place. Not busy but they are doing a good job. Will be back!
Underwhelmed and Disappointing...
and truly worthy an 'Albuquerque Five Star' (A standard rating given to any new restaurant opening in Albuquerque)
After our go to 'Thai Restaurant' closed, the search for a replacement began. After reading views decided to give Lets' Eat Thai Cuisine" a go. In all fairness I refrain from reviewing anyplace after a first visit thus eliminating any preconceived expectations. We ordered a second time, the first time 15 October and again last night 6 Nov. Both times we selected the same items: Pad Kee Mow/Chicken (SP5), Green Curry/Chicken/Hot (C1), 'Homemade' Eggroll (A1).
Here is where the disappointment began...
Eggrolls - Appeared to be anything but homemade. Everything was too consistent, uniform and lacked any variation in size, shape, filling to be homemade. In fact, I have purchased the similar, if not the exact eggrolls at Costco.
Portion size...
Honestly, they were extremely small for the price paid.
The Pad Kee barely filled a standard 8x8 to-go container halfway on 6 Nov, and slightly larger portion the first time. There was a small about of leftovers the first time and no leftovers last night.
The Green Curry, filled a deli size plastic quart container by half at best. Again, no leftovers last night.
Taste...
Eggrolls - bland, frozen poor attempt to pass off as "homemade"
Pad Kee Mow/Chicken - the noodles were cooked well. Chick was so finely minced it was difficult to distinguish between it and the egg and bamboo shoots. The spice was perfect and added to the dish
Green Curry/Chicken - The taste of the spicy green curry was flavorful. A perfect blend of coconut milk, green curry, and an expect amount of heat. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. The container primarily consisted of curry broth. The amount of chicken and vegetable was a minimum, at best. The green beans were wilted and slightly passed their prime, while the red bell pepper was crisp, it was also scarce. Bamboo shoots were plentiful, and the sweet basil appeared to be an after thought and just tossed in.
The search for a 'new' Thai restaurant continues...
Wonton soup very very good
Penang Curry is amazing. And they decorate the food so thoughtfully.
The Pad Kee Mao was so flavorful and the best I’ve had in ABQ. Ordered 6 dishes to try, everything was good, and super flavorful. Noodles weren’t sticky. Two of the orders were diner specials that came with small salad, egg roll, and a wonton. I ordered to go but would definitely dine in cause the shop looks nice, clean, and well decorated.
It's a cut above the Thai I'm used to getting around town. The price was good on my wallet.
Awesome service and good atmosphere.
This place knows what they are doing and they have many options to choose from!
Very tasty and fresh, not at all crowded, may bey new favorite thai.
The pad thai was excellent. I'll definitely be back.
Very good Thai food. Just need to offer more of the hot Thai spices. Other than that definitely some good Thai food. For example the fish sauce with the little hot chili 🌶️. I will be back and hope I see some 🔥 🌶️😉.
Delicious food and great service. The pad see ew I had was spot on.
I love this place ❤️👍
The best Thai food I’ve had in Albuquerque yet!
We were excited to try this place, and it did not disappoint! The food came out quickly and was plated beautifully. We ate everything! We will definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious - rivals other top Thai options in the Duke City. Started with Thai style samosas, which were new to me - very yummy! I ordered the yellow curry combo plate which comes with a premeal eggdrop soup - fresh and the veggies actually had flavor/texture. Curry was spot on with just the right heat. Also, it came with a homemade veggie eggroll and dumpling - both full of flavor. Sorry the dumpling didnt make it into the pic - I scarfed it before remembering to take a shot. Companion had Massaman curry - equally delicious. Dont let this spot disappear - lets show them the love, Albuquerque!
