We went to Hot Pink on a Thursday night for dinner. We initially thought the restaurant was closed since there wasn’t a single car in the parking spaces out front or diner in the restaurant.
The owner (and sole employee) seemed completely indifferent we were patronizing the restaurant. We ordered Sprites, which came as bottles we poured into styrofoam cups.
I ordered the pad Thai with tofu, mild spice. The dishes were delivered on paper plates, and after they were dropped off we did not see the server again. The pad Thai was quite bland, and my husband’s pineapple fried rice was both dry and tasteless.
After waiting, I needed to walk up to the window to ask for our check. The owner was watching videos on his phone and seemed unconcerned we were there.
No other diners came in to dine, which absolutely made sense after we experienced the lack of service, the disposable cups and plates, and the lack of any music or atmosphere. We won’t be back.
UPSETTING Our order was mixed up and we told the server, owner. He tried to talk us into eating each other's orders. (One was mild pineapple pork, one spicy tofu, totally opposite, and one person doesn't eat spicy or tofu.) He took it back and the cook screamed for a good 5 minutes. Very disturbing made us worried she was going to spit in our food. No way to have an atmosphere for diners. A nice meal totally ruined and very upsetting. We totally understand an order mistake, a break out kitchen fight that we could hear every word with slamming pans, not acceptable. NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Went here to eat lunch on a Friday. Place was completely dead. Thai places usually have a weird layout but this one felt really barren. Awkward silence as there is no music playing and and odd set up of chairs. The server / owner brought us our menus and took about 10 mins to come back. We placed our order and about 20 mins later the food came out. I got basil fried rice and my girlfriend got the red curry and a Thai tea. Hands down some of the worst fried rice I have ever gotten at a Thai place (it's usually my go to). It was served on a 4th of July paper plate with plastic cutlery. Extremely wasteful, especially since we were dining in. The fried rice barely even seemed fried, I ordered it "hot" and it was extremely mild and bland. There was mushrooms which I was stoked about but the mushrooms tasted like they went bad. The curry was actually decent (but still lacked flavor and tasted slightly off) which is why I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1. Only thing that was actually GOOD was the Thai tea. Service was bottom tier. Save yourself and go to Thai cuisine 1 or 2. 40 bucks for terrible Thai food. Will never be back.
Best Thai we have found in in Albuquerque so far. The staff who I believe is the owner was impeccable in the service. The food was absolutely brilliant and the levels of hot you could get were tailor made for Albuquerque. Prices were very reasonable and it's a tiny spot with a big footprint. If you love Thai food, this is your place
Literally the best pad thai in the city. I know, I've tried atleast 15 places looking for the right stuff. The hot is clearing my sinuses as we speak, but I got the medium a couple weeks ago and is very tasty either way. Also, the pumpkin curry.... yes. So good. Tip him well, he's way under priced. Couldn't get a photo of my chicken pad thai because I dug into it too quickly. This is my second entree I got to support the business and try something new.
I won't comment on the atmosphere - I knew it was a hole in the wall type place and they already had a sign that it was served on paper/plastic cutlery. This review is just for the food and service. The good: Service was friendly and the food came quickly. Thai ice tea is good!
The bad: Food is bland. We ordered two different noodle dishes and they seemed identical except one had egg and the other didn't. There was also very little meat in each - seems like corners are being cut for the price. We ordered one of the dishes Thai Hot and it was still bland and not particularly spicy despite the menu warnings.
The ugly: Sticky rice with mango was made completely wrong. It wasn't sticky rice - just (leftover?) white rice with coconut poured on top. Really disappointing and I've never had that experience at any Thai restaurant ever.
Great food, affordable, nice people.
This is a great place to eat. This is an amazing Thai place to eat in town.

Google Maps doesn’t provide the correct location. It’s another block west.
Food was fantastic.
I love this place! Among the best food in NM!!!!
Food is fine bt it’s expensive there are more options in the market
Highly recommend Hit Pink Thai.
I usually schedule a visit here when I’m going to their neighbor down the strip mall J&JNails. Both are exceptional
Love this place especially if you like spicy food get the thai hot🔥. Pineapple curry my favorite. Children like teriyaki plate and we all like crab ragoons. Can get beef chicken pork or shrimp yum yum yum...Jasmine rice love it.
First time here and the food was delicious!
Definitely coming back here again
Goof food slow service.

I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy and the only thing I want is thai food. Very specifically Tom yum soup! The flavor is spot on and full of veggies. Big portion too. My taste buds are so happy
We came in a bit late and stayed a bit after closing to finish. They did not rush us, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. Indeed a hidden jewel in the city. My second choice for Thai food here in Albuquerque.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. Great food! Good prices. Great service.
I've been going there for take out for 10 years now. Always incredibly delicious, very nice people, and prices are amazing for what you get. I've never been disappointed. My favorites on the menu are red curry, medium spice, with tofu and thai basil fried rice, medium spice, with tofu.
Amazing food, not greasy, just perfect as it should be. If I could give more stars, I would
We go here about every other week. Pad Thai and yellow curry are great, crab Rangoon very good.

Fantastic pumpkin curry and pad thai
Food was decent, but not outstanding. Chicken satay were large, but a little dry. Drunken Noodles were a bit bland. Potstickers came with a sweet dipping sauce rather than a soy based sauce.
Excellent selection, quality, courteous staff and reasonable prices. Can’t get much better! I would recommend anyone to try it and especially if they love Thai food.

Food was not that good. I would recommend Thai 2 over hot pink.
The food is solid, a great place for thai. Almost more importantly, the people are people are great.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. If you are ever in the area, you NEED to stop by here
Great food, great service, great prices :-)
Delicious food, hearty portions, and a quaint place to enjoy a meal with a friend.
Lovely meal and great service!!! Will be back as often as I can!
Best Thai in Town!!!
So delish... Tom ka and pad se iew 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 five stars so good. Environment was very relaxing and the server was very nice.
Best Thai in town ❤️
Service was very nice, friendly, clean. Great spring rolls, great curry, great yellow rice. Will definitely be back.
This was my second time here. The first time I dined in, the dining room is sparse, but comfortable enough. I had the pad Thai that time, it was pretty decent, this time I got the pineapple curry and hoo boy was it amazing. Best I’ve had maybe. I got the medium and it was plenty spicy, I may go madman next time and try hot, I’m afraid of the level above that 😂. I can’t believe I’ve been sleeping on this place for so long. Check it out.
Best Thai restaurant in America
I freaking looooove the food here. The staff is always great. All the curries are fire.
Awesome curry always on the hunt for the best curry
Best thai food in all of abq hands down. Highly recommend the spring rolls
WOW! WOW! WOW! this restaurant alone made it worth it for me to move to Albuquerque!
The Pad Thai and Gai Thom Kha are some of the best I have ever had... including Thailand!
Delicious! Drunken noodles and coconut curry was a great choice!
I wish I knew this place before. Just ate the food and it was beyond delicious. Compare to other Thai places - this one is now the best. Mango sticky rice - just amazing! Highly recommended!
Delicious food, great service.
We got the Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Pad Mee and really enjoyed both!
Not fancy, but the food was good and decently priced. It is on the smaller side, there wasn't an empty table the whole time we were there .
Delicious!

Food was good. Service was terrible. Ordered four curries of which they mischievously added "extra vegetables", something I had never asked for, raising the total by 8 dollars. This had to have been some scheme I never mentioned it and this "extra vegetables" amounted to like a few extra broccoli and carrots. Pretty annoyed. Will not be returning
Absolutely disgusting!! serve you on plastic plates and paper bowl ! No flavor no skill can’t even make fried rice; lunch for two $50.00 bucks …. I went home and thru up DISGUSTING
Best Thai food in Albuquerque, in my humble opinion.
Best Thai food in Albuquerque!!
This place is amazing Fresh food♡♡♡

Large portions. Broccoli seemed frozen instead of fresh.
Always a 10/10 experience here. My favorite thing to get here is the fried rice.
Edit 7-23-21 - Ordered carry-out here today. 3 years later and still the best Thai in the city.
I never understand why people give 4 stars out of five, but don't provide critical feedback. If I was going to criticize them for something, it would be the time it takes to prepare an order. Considering they make every plate to order, served fresh and delicious, I have to give them five stars. I have eaten here multiple times. I recommend you do the same.
Update: 6-23-21:
Down graded my review. The last 5 times I’ve eaten there, the food quality has steadily declined. I had refrained from giving a less then stellar review because we’ve eaten here for 5+ years. I had chalked it up to the COVID effect…however, after 5 mediocre to poor experiences, it’s time to call it. Too bad.
Best Pud Thai and drunken noodles in ABQ! Owner is pleasant and friendly! Food almost as good as our fave place, which is in Chicago (Star of Siam)!
Update 11-14-18...still great!
Very tasty food, great customer service, friendly staff, who I believe are the owners themselves. They remember us each visit. Food is fresh every time. Love it!
Very pleasant atmosphere and very clean. Wonderful food and service
Delicious, fresh and tastes like food you would get at mamas house.
I've tried about all their curries except pumpkin and live how tasty they are. Good customer service and friendly. My go to spot for thai curry.
Went for the first time yesterday, was blown away super good.
I love little hole in the wall restaurants! This place is fantastic! The owner has always been really nice. The curry (specifically C5) is amazing! The teriyaki fried rice and pad thai are delicious as well!
Such delicious food! We tried the Pad thai and tom yum soup 😋
Now called Hot Pink Thai Cuisine. They have such delicious Thai Food and such kind people work here.
Good food. Update your hours!!
Fabulous food!!!
Very tasty pineapple curry with friendly service but only partially satisfied with the 'normal hot'. I will return and try something at the 'Thai hot' level.
I have been looking for good drunken noodles and they have it! Nice lunch spot or carry out. Will be back soon.
Good food, good vibes love going there to eat.
Love that there's tofu and a vegetable options
Delicious and reasonably priced. Particularly enjoyed the red & massaman curries. Pad Thai was also good.
Amazing & AUTHENTIC Thai food. Our new favorite restaurant.
It was wonderful! Great food!
It appears that everything is good here, but I just can't beat their green curry!
Quick and friendly service. The #34 and #36 were pretty heavy on the noodles without much of the other ingredients. Portions were huge and tasted good though. Will probably get the curry next time.
Best fried tofu in town. Quaint cafe with a huge menu. Great vegetarian and vegan options. A quiet spot in the midst of shopping.
Fresh and flavorful!!!
The only place that really does have chili hot food that we like to eat. Highly recommend and I like my mom's order of drunken noodles. I'd like to have that again. Also would like to try rest of menu. Very good food here.
I ordered from here for the first time because I was on the hunt for some Basil Fried Rice-- but when I got my order it was more of a broth soup than anything fried. Ok, it still tasted good, but definitely wasn't what I was looking for. On top of that I ordered a green curry-- and, while the soup thing was the full 32 oz, the curry came in a half size (16oz)! I've never gotten takeout in such a small container, for the full price... Postmates said the size difference was the standard but I don't get it. Won't be ordering from here again because the value for the portions isn't worth it.
Small restaurant with the best food ever...also the server/owner is really nice and has a great service
It is great and tasty food.
Pad kee mao is one of my all time favorite dishes. This restaurant has one of the best recipes in town. The flavor is absolutely amazing. When I get a to go order, it is always nicely packed. Staff are always friendly as well.
Best Thai food in town been going since it was called Thai Express owners are very nice and welcoming and Vegetable Deluxe is do flavorful!
All time favorite place to eat and great service.
It was very nice but next time the tofu should be like natural not fried
A small quality restaurant. They have really good food. I usually always get the pad Thai with a mild spice. Mild spicy has no kick to it. When you get to extremely hot your getting spicy. Depending on how many people order at a time will depend on when the food comes out. They cook things fresh and there seems to be one or two cooks, but for the most part they are quick on getting food out (5-15 min). Only down side is they have coke products ha. The owners are really nice and friendly. Parking looks bad but there are usually spots open. You just have to follow the flow of traffic.
The food was great. Service 👍
i had the red curry it was good but kind of small portions for the price compared to other thai places. and i liked the spice, i got medium and it was perfect.
Not my fave. I may give it another try someday.
Might have been something to do with the smell?
Great food great service
Bad experience before I even got to sit down. New to Thai food wanted to test options but will stick to Thai Orchid.
Really good Thai food, priced right!
Always friendly and good service. The food is amazing!
Delicious-my faves are Panang and Pad Thai. My favorite place for Thai!
Great good
Good place to eat in Albuquerque
Delicious authentic Thai food. The curry is amazing!! I always get it with tofu which is a nice option as a vegetarian. They also have vegetarian egg rolls which are delicious. You get a lot of food with each meal, totally worth the prices. And their Thai tea is the best I have had in ABQ. Definitely a must try
Ever since I first tried this place in September 2015 I have returned at least once a week without fail as of writing this review. Their food is indescribably flavorful and anyone I have ever recommended it to has loved it as well.
Their pad Thai is THE BEST I have ever had. If you love spicy food like I do, you will not be disappointed in the least but do be careful.
The owners are also very nice people and will treat you with kindness with every visit. I expect I will be returning for many years to come. A+++!
(Update) It is January 2019 and I still regularly visit Hot Pink Thai. I have tried almost every Thai Restaurant in the city and this place remains on top. I now also highly recommend their Yellow Curry.
Staff seemed nice. Food was decent
One of the best Thai food places in town. The Pad Thai is great
Got the yellow curry and pad thai. Both delicious and flavorful!!!
Oh boy! Their pork fried rice was amazing!
Very delicious mango sticky rice. Friendly owners. Definitely will be going back to explore the menu.
They make amazing fried rice.
Very fresh, very consistent. Not too busy, but they should be
Food was ok not worth coming back. Thought I try new places around where I live. You get the feeling you aren't welcomed
What a horrible place. I ordered take out
Red curry was flavorless and like soup. It tasted like Chinese 5 spice and broth. The sticky rice was in a bag and microwaved to the point of being sticky but not traditional sticky rice. Fresh spring rolls were 90% lettuce and druken noodles lacked in flavor. None of the food tasted like traditional thai food.
Good food and service
Had the Pad See Ew, lots of noodles, veggies and chicken. It was ok. Chicken was a little scarce and dried out without a lot of flavor. I've also had their Drunken Noodles, they were great and the chocken was better here.
Great pad Thai! Food quality is always consistent and delicious!
Easily one of the best thai food restaurants we've been to coast to coast. Great food. Quick service. True hole in the wall hidden treasure.
the curry is actually good here (as opposed to certain other places in town that are overrated)
Lots of items on menu to choose from. Food is prepared fresh when you order. Special attention to every detail is made to give customers an exciting food experience!
An easy choice for any Discerning Thai food aficionado. Generous portions of seafood with their salads, and delicious noodles with deep complex flavors. The menu at hot pink Thai does not beat about the bush, and warns that "If you order the Thai hot, you will EAT the Thai hot. No substitutions."
Do not miss out on this unpretentious and faithfully authentic dining experience.
I love this place. If you like Thai food and you've never tried it, you should! The food is delicious, the service is great and the prices are reasonable.
Food was good. Not a place to linger.
Food is bland
There are so many dishes to choose from! When it comes right down to it though-eveything we ate was delicious and oh so flavorful!... Our server was very attentive and friendly, too. What a nice treat on this Thursday in Albuquerque.
I've gotten tastier and cheaper Thai food elsewhere in Abq, and the server wasn't the nicest. However, my biggest issue is that they charged my card for more than I agreed to pay. I guess the server decided to give himself a larger tip.
Great food, better prices and some of the best Teriyaki chicken in town!
"Closed for a month"
Lots and lots of menu choices and more coconut milk Curry choices than most of the Thai restaurant in town which is what I really like
This is my and husband of 10 yrs "Date Night Spot"!!!! We absolutely love this little place that's a quiet little secret of Albuquerque.
Chicken Satay, Pork Laab, Thai iced coffee- all delish!
Great food, pleasant host, nice and clean.
I had drunken noodles to-go and was terribly disappointed. The "noodles" looked like they had previously been lasagna noodles that had been ripped apart. I ordered my dish medium on the heat scale and it had zero detectable heat or any flavor for that matter.
Amazing food. Try this place out you will love it
Always excellent.
Since if the best Thai food in town and great staff that makes you want to come back
Good service. Crabmeat fried rice was excellent! Pad Thai mild was very mild. Will definitely be back!
Great hot Thai food - best in the city - can be found and this little place. Delicious Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Wonderful service!
Good food
Nice friendly good ppl, dinning and experience... my #1 thai restaurant.. hearty portions as well 👌👌👍👍👍
I was hesitant because the name was so corny but it was close to my hotel so I gave it a shot and ordered carry out. The fresh spring rolls were AWESOME and the serving was huge! I could have made a meal out this there alone. The ginger chicken was absolutely the best ive ever had. The medium level of spiciness had plenty of kick without the residue burning that I would expect of the "Thai hot" level above it). I highly recommend this place. The downside is that they close at 8, so get there early
Best Thai food in ABQ. Friendly service, super fast and delicious.
Pumpkin curry.
Still my favourite Thai place in Albuqueruqe. Wonderful panang beef (my fav!). And the spicy is just that: SPICY! Highly recommended!
This was my boyfriends and mine first visit. We loved the selection and the flavor was on point. Spice was true to advertised. Very excited to find out about this gem in our neighborhood and we will be back!
