Frequent this place fairly often but have yet to leave a review. Service is always incredibly friendly and their sushi is delicious. Specialty rolls are a little pricier than your standard rolls, but worth every bite. Their presentation is always spot on as well. Will definitely return.

I accidentally stumbled upon this place through Uber Eats, craving Sushi - so it was DELIVERY.

I figured a lot of great reviews worth trying it 😇

#1 - PACKAGING
- extra nice packaging for delivery
- Bamboo Leaves used to weave in between rolls so they don't touch each other - very smart as sauces/spices may mix and I don't always like it
- edible flowers are added - wow - very cool - I've seen it for eat-in, but not delivery
- extras - a lot of bags with regular and low sodium soy sauce. Also liked fancier chop sticks (rounded)

#2 - SUSHI
- Rice is cooked perfectly and surprisingly good even on the 2nd day
- cut - size and cut perfectly, though not cheap, but each roll is large size
- special rolls - a lot of cool flavors that I haven't seen anywhere - adding Chilean sea bass, beef, etc.

I wish the place was closer, but I am happy they deliver! Was my 1st time to order, but won't be the last.

When we ate in the food was delicious, but when I ordered, take out the shellfish was over cooked. I'll never get takeout again, but I'll bring home leftovers & make sure I reheat it carefully. I didn't even reheat the shellfish because I only lived 10 minutes from the one in Toms River, so it was still hot when I got home. Whenever I bring home leftovers and I have shellfish, I make sure I eat all of the shellfish while I'm there, so I don't have to reheat it. I NEVER reheat any kind of fish. Also, I called in my order & it was a Sunday & it was before 3 pm, so I ordered a lunch & a dinner & the woman took my order, but when I got there the didn't even start cooking it yet & they said to me they only have dinner on Sundays they don't have a lunch menu. I told the supervisor that they should honor the lunch menu for me because they never told me until I got there to pick it up & the supervisor said oh I'm so sorry that this happened & again I said so can you ask your boss if she could give me the lunch price & she said no. What I should've done was just walk out, but it was New Years Eve & I told the other person I was getting it & they had their heart set on this for a late lunch early dinner. I had over $150 in gift cards & now I still have a $70 gift card for here & once I use it, I will NEVER go back there. My family & friends are very good customers there, but we will find a better Hibachi place to go even if it's further away from where we live. So, in case you didn't understand what I was saying, we're EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this establishment!!! So again, after I use this $70 gift card, we WILL NEVER visit this establishment again!!!

Go here frequently when I visit my friend in Pine beach. Have had the hibachi which is out of this world and moderately priced. Love their sushi rolls - everything is very fresh! Have beautiful presentation on the specialty rolls-expensive but well worth it. Also tried the steak teriyaki and the coconut shrimp appetizer on my last visit. Had enough food to have two meals from it!! absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend going there if you love Japanese, Thai, sushi, and Japanese curries! You must try it if in the Toms River area!!

We made reservations for Saturday night. First time there. The room was large and had nice space between tables. Service was excellent. Food fantastic. We had Red curry chicken and salmon/tuna and Alaska rolls. Everything was delicious - fresh and the presentation was over the top. Not too loud from hibachi room and BYOB is a plus. Will definitely return. Thank

First Hibachi spot I've been to with my family that took the time and effort knowing we had a toddler with us. The share of food for each plate was more than enough, taste was great, and most importantly - Tony, who was our chef - catered to our toddler. He made balloon animals and cut her veggies and meat up to small bite size portions for her. That alone made the experience great. However, I'm adding a ton of pics from our experience as well! Outstanding in every way from presentation to value to quality of food. We tried a number of things from the expansive menu and we're thrilled with them all. Try this place as soon as you can if you love Asian Cuisine.

Went there today for lunch special as a senior early bird. Was some traffic. Got there at 3:03. She said she wouldn't serve me lunch menu. This would have been 3rd time in month visiting Koi. Once with 12 neighbors. Once my son did take out. Is it worth losing a customer for 3 minutes? Won't go back.

Typical hibachi experience, grill guys were a bit confused about orders. Word to the wise, child portions equal in size to adult portions, don't pay for adult size for child.

My girlfriend and I ordered a California roll, shrimp tempora, tuna roll, and spicy crunchy tuna roll. At first we thought it was amazing but after we continued eating we came to the belief the cucumber was bad and it was literally jammed into every roll afterwards we both felt nauseous. I don't know if they use some off type of cucumber or maybe we just got a bad batch but what turned out great quickly went sour. Eat at your own risk.

I was here three years ago and loved it and today was even better. Note: after we sat they realized they needed our spot for a reservation and asked us yo move. We gladly accommodated the request. After we moved a very sweet greeter brought us a $10.00 voucher. This gesture was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Today- again, Absolutely fantastic food and service. We have never had a bad meal or experience with the staff. Nicole the manager is warm and welcoming she makes you feel like family. She is a big part of why we go at least once a week. The place is very well demand extremely clean. Give it a try

I have gone to koi since they first open they make very good sushi, i am very fond of their hawaiian tiki poke bowl. The hibatchi is also pretty good. The restauraunt also has a small museum which is wierd but cool. Also before it was koi it was a buffet and i spilled hot soop there

Love this place. Great food, sushi, pad thai, Thai basil chicken and more. Fast service, nice staff. I don't do hibachi so my review is only dining room, but hibachi tables look like they have a good time. If you like spicy food you can ask them to make it as spicy as you like.

Hiabachi was very good but slightly overdone.

Ate there for the first time. Arrived at about 1:45 in the afternoon. There was no wait. We were seated immediately. We had 2 Combination style Hibachi Entrees. One was the Chicken and Shrimp and the other one was Chicken and Steak. They come with a Bowl of Clear Soup, a Salad and Ice Cream for dessert. The portion size for the Entree is very big. Along with the meat you get fried rice, noodles and vegetables. Service was friendly and fast. The main course was brought to the table shortly after we finished the soup and salad. The food had a nice flavor. Next to the entrance the have a museum that shows how people dressed some weapons and replicas of the Terracotta Warriors in China during the Qing Dynasty.
It is located in a large open air shopping center. It is at the intersection of Rt 166 and the Garden State Parkway in Toms River, NJ. There is plenty of parking.

Several Members of our Party have dietary restrictions. They accommodated everyone. The food was delicious

10 of us thoroughly enjoyed the hibachi. The food was excellent, and the chef was engaging. My only complaint is that we felt rushed by the server prior to the chef taking over. I understand that we were the first seating on a Friday night, but....

Very clean, great service & sushi was fresh & so was the shrimp thai stir fry.
Prices reasonable.

Had a party of 20 come for my birthday! Had originally mistakenly called them instead of the restaurant I was trying to book, but once I saw the reviews I figured i'd give it a try. Could not have been happier with my experience. Staff was lovely and accomodating when I asked the bill to be split in advance, the food was awesome and they even brought out a speaker with happy birthday music once they found out! They had even separated us off from the restaurant with a set of screens so it was semi-private, which was lovely. My friend was also able to get them to store the ice cream cake for us so it wouldn't melt. Really a lovely time, couldn't recommend it more. Prices were pretty typical of a good sushi/hibachi place but with way better atmosphere than other locations i'd been to in TR/Brick. I will be going again!

Great looking place inside , got sushi tray catered for news years eve , was very nicely decorated and sushi was excellent . Will diffentely recommend this place and will visit again.

The Peking Duck I ordered came with feathers on it and after I adresses this with the staff I was told that when you order it from a Chinese takeout place it has feathers on it. I explained that while this might be true it is not proper preparation and I wouldn’t expect it from a nice restaurant such as Koi- I expect better. The staff kept assuring me that this is the way it is prepared when they eat it elsewhere but they didn’t offer any solutions. I just said that I would like my feedback to be taken into consideration and passed on to the chef. I recommend hibachi and their sushi but not sure about anything else.

Food always looks appetizing, is fresh, great tasting and plenty of it.

Get the sushi, best around including the office lounge and three B’s and Xina. It’sa solid 5 star in sushi and a 2 star on everything else.

Stay away from their Chinese food and hibachi: my wife had filet minion, cooked to death and sent it back, it came back with 2 shrimp (as a gift) without asking first - my wife doesn’t do shellfish - it was good she had no reaction to it, I’m sure some people have.

The fried rice was terrible, bland and no color.

Again, let this be your sushi place, stay away from regular menu.

Food was ok, nothing stood out to me. They have an extensive menu and their portioning was large. Taste wise, I don’t think there was anything outstanding. We went in at the last hour so there was a rush to get us out, which is understandable.

Sushi and hibachi are both awesome. A lot of similarities to Ikko in Brick. I believe Ikko's original owner helped get this location off the ground. The atmosphere is also rich and polite.

Food was very good and the chef was very entertaining however when it came time to pay the bill I was approached by the manager and was insulted by her ignorance she asked me if i had a problem with the service and i said no so she said to me then why did you only give a $5.00 tip when she informed me they split all the tips between the chefs and waiters I responded by informing her that I gave the Chef $20.00 cash and so I only added the $5.00 on my card to make sure it was at least 20% anyway long story short I'll never go back there I dont ever need someone to tell me how much I should tip !

I really like the food that koi but I always feel we are being rushed when we go there. Within seconds they bring out your soup and salad 5 minutes later they bring out the sushi and your dinner at the same time. I hate this I feel I am being rushed to eat dinner first so it doesn't get cold. They need to learn to pace a soup appetizer and then dinner. It's a pleasant for this I would give the place five stars.

Fun place to go. Can be little noisy if you sit near the hibachi but everyone is having a great time. Huge menu. So far everything we have had had been good and food always comes out HOT !!

Everything was on point: the food, the service, the atmosphere. They had a great, printed booklet with pictures to help visualize the dishes. I grew up in Chinatown, NY and they had a bunch of dishes that were very familiar such as walnut shrimp and Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce. It's not easy to find these dishes in NJ, so it was appreciated. My family and I tried the Hawaiian poke bowls which were fresh, sweet, and crunchy. I had the orange beef which was slightly sweet, lightly battered, and a juicy. The service was attentive, but not invasive.

Really enjoyed the showmanship of the chef. Dinner was fun and exciting. Not all Chefs are the same, but our last visit was great. Make sure you have everyone before you enter because you won't be seated.

Never had an issue or a bad experience here. My daughter and I are obsessed! This is our new spot and we love Bringing new people with us! They make balloons for the kids, the food is amazing! Never even had to wait to be seated ! It’s a nice open, large space with beautiful decor. Everyone is so nice. I wish nothing but success for this place!!

i’ve always ordered from the brick location and this one is a lot closer to me so i recently went. the lady at the desk was very nice and the decor inside was nice to look at while i waited for my food. i had ordered a sushi roll and veggie hibachi. the sushi was good, but especially for a new roll i was trying. the hibachi however was “too much”. the veggies, the lomein and rice were drenched in this sauce that over powered the whole meal. at first i thought it was just the veggies but as i tried a little bit of the rest of the meal it was just unbearable to eat.

Had the hibachi experience. Crazy good entertaining chefs, excellent service and huge portions of tasty food. I had the scallops and they gave me at least a half pound! For one price you get soup, salad, noodles, fried rice, fresh vegetables and ice cream for dessert. Had a great time!

Went to Seaside for a few days and wanted hibachi for dinner . This place by far is the best hibachi we ever had . The sushi was amazing , the cooked made the steaks to perfection . Large portions great service , love the atmosphere they had large Chinese statues on display .
