My sister travels the world for work and all around the country. She’s been to the best Thai places in NYC and Atlanta. And when she told me this was some of the best Thai food she’s ever had? I had to try it!

Well, I’m happy to say that I quite agree! I used to live in Connecticut and tried pretty much every Thai restaurant in the general area I was in. They don’t even come close to this. I just had here tonight. My God whatever they’re doing in the kitchen, bravo! This was some of the most authentic, well done Thai food I’ve ever tasted. I got the chicken pad Thai, and the soup. My dad got the chicken satay and the dumplings. We split everything. We will definitely be coming back. Thoroughly enjoyed everything! We ordered take out but I can only imagine how much better this tastes fresh.

The Thai spicy fried rice and drunken noodles were extremely tasty and well flavored. Probably the best drunken noodles I have had in the USA so far. Even the Thai ice tea is really good. We had a to-go of it again before leaving since it was really good. Also, almost all dishes can be made to be vegetarian so it's a paradise for vegetarians. Must try restaurant. It's a small business so the orders arrive a little slow. But it's worth the wait.

My review is for Kennett Square, PA location: First time here and we were very impressed with the quality and taste of each dish. The crab rangoon was the best we’d ever had. The Thai tea was full-bodied and delicious. My husband’s massaman curry was delicate and tasty. I (hopefully) asked for a noodle dish not on the menu, Lad Na, which was my favorite while visiting Thailand. The chef did not disappoint, it was served piping hot and delicious. We had leftovers of each dish to take home. Then we finished with mango sticky rice, just perfect. Thank you for going the extra mile for me. We will be back to try more dishes! Our only slight criticism was that it was too quiet without any background music. Would have loved hearing some instrumental Thai music.

When I lived in Pennsville I ordered from here all of the time. The food is delicious 😋.
I now drive 45 minutes one way to Pennsville just for this food. None of the other restaurants in my area can compare.

Food was good but went down hill. Tasted like a Chinese take out place tried to make Thai food. One dish was so bad we tossed it out. They had really good Thai when they opened. Did they sell the restaurant recently?

My go-to takeout restaurant for Pennsville, usually take advantage of the lunch specials (curries are all fantastic with salad and spring roll, wished they offered a drunken noodle version). Had an opportunity to do trip to Thailand before the pandemic and this is the best restaurant I've found authentic to the taste to Khao San Road in all of South Jersey. And as much as I've attempted to recreate their spicy eggplant recipe in my kitchen, theirs has the perfect amount of heat and my sauce just doesn't have that 'oomf' which Sang Tong brings. I'll continue to support this family-owned small business as long as they keep bringing the heat!

Atmosphere is cute but basic (more like a 5th date place where you're wearing holey socks)- everything else 5 stars!

Dishes on the fav list:
*Apps - garden rolls, chicken satay
* Soups - Tom Yum (with a sizeable shrimp upgrade)
* Curries - green/yellow/red or panang
* DRUNKEN NOODLES (medium spice, which is 'hot' to western pallets, IMO)

So I have been going here off and on for a while now. I noticed a few major changes, first and foremost the price (which is stated in the establishment) no problem, but for the amount of food I received was very disappointing. I asked for light spice on my shrimp drunken noodles and they were beyond the level I have ever gotten. The 6 shrimp in my order i guess is what cause the $20 price ticket, they were also very tasteless.
Overall my experience this time was my last.

Visited this place and it’s a small restaurant and there were two young guys working here. One was the cook and the other doing the rest.Ambience and atmosphere non existent . It was totally empty and they had three take outs whilst we were there. Ordered Won ton soup with shrimp and it came in a tiny little bowl not enough to fill you up . Also ordered spicy beef with rice and it’s was full of oil and the beef was tough. All in all if this the standard of food I don’t see how people have been rating this place five stars. when the food is below average as I have been to Thailand many times and this was more like Chinese food than Thai . If you can’t cook and don’t know much about food then it’s ok.

The food was phenomenal! The guy working here was so friendly and attentive and pleasant, and the Thai iced tea was very sweet and hit the spot after a hot summer day at the beach. Their spicy food is VERY spicy if you ask it to be, the decorations are lovely, and the takeout is convenient, although today we dined in

The Pad Thai is amazing, all flavors of curry are delicious, the Spring Rolls are fantastic, and so far every dish I have order has brought me right back! Only leaving 1 star, if I could I would leave no stars. Food was under cooked, and the people were rude. They crossed out one of the items we ordered saying, “it was too much food and too much money” but gave us the more expensive item. Will not be going back, would’ve rather had wawa.

'Sang Tong' is the BEST thai food I have ever eaten in the USA. I being a vegetarian, my appreciation for thai food is just a very rare & limited. The owner, the cook along with the young gentleman at the front desk were kind enough to take care of our hunger and individual preferences. I am a very picky thai food eater, the owner made sure everything that was served was best from their kitchen. The sweet lady who cooked was quick and magical at her culinary skills. Big portions and garma garam ( fresh & hot) food is their specialty. We had the spring rolls, vegetables in the massaman curry, egg fried rice and dumplings. Everyone was happy and content eating. I could drive again from ATL to NJ for Sang Tong food.

I wanted something different so I thought I’d give this place a shot. It was amazing, spectacular! I had the “chicken pineapple rice” and it was the best I’ve ever had! I’m a “foodie” and I love this food. I must stick to a gluten free diet and the gentleman taking my order went through the entire menu crossing out all of the items spicy and with gluten! That was remarkable BUT I LOVE THERE FOOD! TODAY I’M GOING BACKTO TRY THEIR “chicken pan Thai” WHICH IS ALSO GKUTEN FREE!! Go there right now!!

Easily the best food available in town. The only thing stopping this place from getting a 5 star is the long waits on pick-up orders, I've started leaving 10-15 minutes after they tell me my order will be ready and occasionally my order is still not ready.

Sangtong Thai restaurant is by far the best I've ever tried, and I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants. The food is the very best, the vegetables are prepared fresh for you every meal. I've tried many items on the menu and I cannot decide on which is my favorite.

Lucky is an excellent cook and is very caring, checking in with customers to make sure all is well. If you have a wait, it's because it's being made for you, and not sitting under a heat lamp.

I have only had Thai food from a few other places, and was never really a fan.
We get take out from here at least once a week. Sometimes 2-3. It is our goto food when we don't want to cook. The food is very high quality and fresh and the owner is so nice and friendly.
We usually spend about $25-30 for 2 people to eat dinner which at first I thought was slightly high, but I don't think you can beat the quality or taste for that price.

Since trying this place I've tried some other Thai places and not only were none anywheres near as good, but some were just bad. I've been getting food here for over a year and have never had anything that I would consider bad.

This place has become my Gold Standard that I compare all other Thai food too.

My husband and I recently moved back to the area and were so excited to see another small local restaurant pop up. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, spring rolls, and chicken satay. The food does not disappoint: large portions, absolutely amazing flavor, and reasonable prices. The cucumber sauce that came with the chicken satay was to die for! On top of the great food, the owner is probably the sweetest woman alive. From the moment she answered the phone to take our order to the moment we walked out of the door with our order, she made it feel like we were regulars that she’d seen a hundred times. We will absolutely be back for more delicious meals from Sangtong Thai!

Ran into this restaurant by coincidence on the drive back from Maryland to New York City. During covet 19. ended up so positively surprised! Small cute family-owned Thai restaurant was little outdoor sitting and fabulous food better than all the fancy New York City Thai restaurants we always go to. Will always make a detour through this road To stop here again. The sticky rice mango was the highlight of it all!!

I wanted to like my dinner but it was terrible. Greasy beyond belief, smallest portion I've seen to date, and the sampler was really terrible. I wanted to try this based on the reviews and i was so very excited. the Tea was so warm it tasted like warm milk tea.

The owner is one of the nicest ladies you've ever met. Been there many times never had a dish I disliked. Do yourself a favor and get an appitizier sampler. The soups and salads are fantastic and I like all the curries. Volcano chicken is a favorite of everyonw and the exotic Bomba, fried ice cream, and the lucky lucky are all excellent desserts. All the noodle dishes are great as well. It is between here and di Paolo's for the best restaurants in Salem county and this one is one you can afford to eat at.

A unique experience in Pennsville. This restaurant is serving first class Thai food that is expertly prepared and delicious. If you select traditional Pad Thai, one of the several curry dishes or an imaginitive Chef special, you will walk away smiling. The value is excellent as the portions are plentiful. But, leave room for dessert. The toasted coconut ice cream with fried bananas is a treat. My personal favorite is sticky rice with fresh mango. Stop in and try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

The Thai food from here is very delicious. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, staff are always friendly. The portions are large and well worth the money, I always get more than one meal out of them. The spice levels vary from 1-5. 5 is exxxxtra spicy, I could barely handle it but my friend who eats spicy things all the time loved it. They offer chopsticks for take out and have menus you can take home as well. I paid about $12 for chicken pad thai and it was more than worth it. The vegetables are fresh and the meat tastes expertly cooked, noodles taste out of this world.

Food was expertly prepared with a fine attention to the balance of many flavors. My mark for an outstanding chef is one that can utilize the flavors in such a way that you can experience them all individually while enjoying and understanding them as a whole. This food did just that as well as any Thai establishment I've ever been to.

Ingredients were very fresh and the dishes were cooked to proper temperature, retaining heat, juice, and bite.

Service was something you'd expect from a fine establishment and not just a strip mall joint. It not only provided basic needs and courtesy but also was inquisitive, educational, and active in looking for ways to improve the overall experience.

The space is small like one you'd be accustomed to in the middle of a city but neatly decorated and painted to feel bright, warm, and welcoming.

Portions were healthy but not so large as to be overwhelming and reasonably priced with entrees coming in anywhere from $10-16 depending on style and selection of meat. They mentioned weekday lunch portions at $8 as well.

I did not have dessert so I cannot review this aspect but the menu offered a handful of scratch made choices that the family seemed very proud of so consider saving room should you like an after meal treat.

Of note if you're new to Thai food: Don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be afraid of spice levels. They will happily guide you and have a spice rating for all dishes from 1 (almost no heat) to 5 (hot for someone used to this type of cuisine). This rating system is common for this type of establishment and they want very much for you to enjoy the food.
