My boyfriend and I love this place! Our first time trying it we came around 1pm and had the place to ourselves. The inside is very clean and visually pleasing, and the server was also so sweet and nice!

Besides the inside, the food was amazing. I got the chicken pad Thai lunch special (only $12!) and it was DELICIOUS. The sauce was so good and it was exactly what I’ve been craving. It’s a huge portion size and I had a lot to take home. My friends also got the curry puffs and fried rice and they were not bad either. If you’re craving Thai, check this place out!!

This place is great! We had the chicken satay, and it was delicious. My daughter had the iced tea, and she liked it. I ordered shrimp pad Thai and it had a lot of shrimp and it was not dry, which we like. My daughter got the smoked and sweet chili fried rice, and it was not too spicy. This place is so cute! If you want authentic Thai food, you must come here. The Thai tea is amazing and tastes just like Thailand. Their pad Thai is delicious and so is the fried rice. You get a lot of food! Their mango sticky rice also tastes like Thailand too! Love this place and will be returning. It also BYOB which is nice.

Very unfriendly and arrogant hostess. Food delivery people are not considered customers, they are not allowed to use the restrooms. According to the ad, they are short of staff, and from January 13 2025 the restaurant will not work at all, only takeaway. Apparently, they treat employees the same way.

Excellent food and service!! I have been eating here for years and brought my friends many times. Just like any other restaurants, there was a service charge when it was a big party. But with the authentic meals and friendly service we received, its worth every pennies.

I would avoid this place even though food tastes good. The server is very rude treats us like 3rd class citizen. My nephew who is 8 year old brought his own water bottle and the server rudely said: don’t you know you should not bring outside drink. Even though i said its just water who prefers his own bottle, she didn’t care. They feel like they are doing free service for us. The only time she smiled at us when giving bill as she charged default 20% tip. Even though we don’t like their service they charge us as if its their right. Tip culture in US is becoming out of control.

Absolute Thai always delivers quality and fantastic food. They have the nicest people who work there and the food is always so flavorful and fresh.

And Duck Curry

All were delicious, I was most impressed with the duck curry. The herbal notes in the curry made it stand out. Definitely the best I've had in a long time, possibly the best ever.

My only problem is when we got the check I wanted to tip with cash but my waiter accidently tipped me on her tablet when she was trying to print the receipt. Always the "absolute" best Thai food in the area!

I just moved to the Monroe area and was so excited there was a Thai place so close to us. We were so excited to try this place because it’s hard to find good Thai around!

We walked in and there was a family of 4 ahead of us walking in. The place was empty but we notice there was a tall easel type sign blocking the way from the front foyer to the main dining area. We thought that was odd but we were seated and paid no mind.

It took a while for the lady to get our drink order. My husband ordered a soda and I said nothing for me I have water. Well, when she came back with the soda she saw my water bottle and treated me so unkind. She told me no outside drinks … but when she took the order I told her I had water. I only drink from my water bottle and told her sorry but I will be drinking my own water. Meanwhile - this place is a BYOB as we say other people come in with alcohol. She made me so uncomfortable I wanted to leave right there but didn’t bc the food was then coming out.

Green curry was not good - maybe way too much lemon grass? Was very off in flavor.

When we went to leave there were a few tables occupied. Again the easel was blocking the only exit out. My husband said to her directly that shouldn’t be there because it could Be a safety hazard.

Needless to say, won’t be going back because of the food and terrible service.

I've eaten here several times. INCONSISTENT. ITS been good once or twice but last two times I went , the stir fry veg was mush. Broccoli was limp and overcooked to just a dish of mushy brown water soaked. Tasteless and I was disappointed but it's a Hassel to call and complain .so I'll move on. Sad because there is noway they didn't know it was soggy. Guys it was supposed to be stir fry.

This has been our go-to place for Thai food for quite some time now. The flavors in many of the dishes are nothing short of magical. You can tell and taste the freshest vegetables, and the spices are addictively delicious. Prices are quite reasonable, and you get a generous amount to share dishes, or just enjoy more for yourself! The AC often tends to get the place chilly, so bring a light jacket.

Word is getting out on this place. Absolute Thai has the best, authentic Thai food for miles around. Don’t be fooled by those “fusion” restaurants claiming to offer Thai food. I’ve never experienced one that was convincing. The best Thai restaurants are dedicated mom-and-pop places like this one.

Not only is the food delicious, the portions are generous and the woman who runs/owns the place is a pleasure with boundless energy. No wonder it closes for well earned vacations.

The food here is just phenomenal. We've come twice for my sister in laws birthday and each time the food and hospitality has been amazing. They treat you with such kindness and care. The food itself is just incredible. Literally, anything you get is amazing. We loved the chive fritters, spring rolls, pad kra pow is unbelievable. Everyone should have the opportunity to eat here at least once in their life. I just wish I lived closer!! I would be here all the time!

I ABSOLUTE-ly LOVE this place (pun intended).

Update - I have dined in since I first posted this and it is STILL my go-to favorite Thai place in at least a 30 mile radius! Not only because their food is so delicious, but also because they go above and beyond with fantastic customer service.

To give an example - I called AFTER they had already packaged my order (I didn't know because they are THAT fast), asking them to remove the lettuce (it's a side salad that the tofu sits on top of), and rather than just pick it off, they MADE ME A WHOLE NEW ONE so it'll stay piping hot by the time it's delivered to me!

No wonder I've tried every dish on their menu pretty much - my favorites (which in no-way mean the rest are anything else than stellar) are their Garlic Pepper tofu and their Spicy Basil Tofu, since I'm vegetarian.

If you're trying to look for healthy, fresh and filling Thai food - please look no further, and support this small business!

My family felt very sick after eating their food. We order out all the time and this is the first time this happens to us. Please order from a different restaurant, NOT SAFE!

Excellent food very rude service.
They were rude to us as our kid was playing with chopsticks. Which is why i gave very less tip. The hostess asked me why less tip and i explained the reasons.

When i explained the service was bad but the food was good, the hostess said that why dont you order pick up next time? When i said why dont u improve service she repeated her stance. That was shocking being treated like that.

The best Thai food in the area, by far. I've only ever ordered takeout here, but the restaurant looks very pleasant for a sit-down dinner as well. The staff here is extremely friendly, and the food has been nothing but amazing. From the appetizers to the main dishes to the desserts. Large portions are certainly enough to last at least 2 days. I look forward to making my way through their entire menu.

Tried the Tom Yum Soup, really disappointed, is very very far away from being a traditional Tom Yum Soup. Sorry to say that, but the Soup that's being served in Thailand comes almost everywhere with noodles, Mushrooms and chicken comes in smaller pieces and it is much spicier than here!

Everything about Absolute Thai is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My kids love Thai so we order frequently, and we are never let down! Today, they surprised my son by including a special message/dish to make up for a mistake on a previous order! Incredible service! The best Thai food around! This place rocks!

The owner of the restaurant is beyond rude and unmannerly. The issues are always with the owner (Ching) and not the employees. She talks down to customers and stares at you rather than acknowledging your entrance into the restaurant. The lady that runs the restaurant is by far the worst in the area.

Learning how to talk to customers will only help your business grow. The food is average at best. Thai food in Old Bridge is a lot better. While it is less than 2 miles away from my home, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody just based on the fact that the business owner is disrespectful and impertinent.

The food at this restaurant was great unfortunately I am giving this place a 1 star review for the lack of communication. On Saturday July 23 2022 I ordered a tea with milk and i had asked for less ice with my beverage. The shocker to this situation was that i was charged more money for asking for less ice now tell me if that makes sense. If i was told in advance it would’ve been a different story but the lady said screw my wallet I’m just gonna charge this young man more money for the hell of it. This is the kind of stuff that makes me not want to tip and restaurants and i am by no means rich so i try to save however i can this was a foul move on the restaurants end please do better!

The WING's looked like they where cooked 2 days ago, you know that over tough crusty feel and taste. 1 wing was fresh and noticeably cooked correctly. I suppose you mix in the old with the new and reduce cost.

The SHRIMP & CHECKEN DUMPLING's - these are not DUMPLING's they are frozen Chinese DIM-SUM. Cold as well.

Then to the Piece of Resistance - Our favorite SHRIMP ROLL's - I didn't know they made shrimp so small. They looked so uniformed like little soldiers. Evidently another PRE-MADE item.

I live about 20 minutes from here so my wife called 10 minutes after I left. She immediately called and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I was there within 10 minutes and the food was ready. ?? I guess using pre-made appetizers save's time.

Fortunately, the main dishes where ok.

I was given a New Menu, after dinner I threw it away and knowing myself, will never walk into this place again.

tremendous food with an even nicer staff. I had placed an order asking for No MSG and they took the time to call me and mention that they don't cook with it. I also asked if it was possible to have my order ready quicker than the suggested time and they were more than accommodating.

Loved our meal here. Their tag line says ‘made with love’. Not only is the food made with love, it’s also served with love. The lady who was serving us was amazing! I am vegetarian and even though they don’t have a lot of veg options on their menu, I still ate quite a bit. I had the Thai iced tea, the chive fritters (it’s yumm… a must try coz I haven’t seen this at any other Thai place), the veggies in ginger sauce, and the taro custard (it’s warm n garnished with fried onions… what an interesting desert). My husband had the spegati with chicken… which he liked as well! P.S. I typically have bloating after I eat Thai food. Not here. The food was fresh and soul satisfying!!

I just ordered from absolute Thai for the first time. Living here 10 years tried every Thai place hands down absolute Thai is the best I ever had... I’m not one to do reviews but this place deserves more then 5 stars... Coming from the city nothing ever measured up but absolute Thai is up there with any place I ever went to...

Takeout was my everyday thing. Now living in Manalapan, I was hesitant about ordering out especially almidst the pandemic.

Family owned, everything from Thai tea to the appetizer to the spicy noodles and basil chicken.

I picked up late the other night and got to meet the owner June. She was a very very friendly person and was also considerate after I ordered an additional item at the counter she told me to relax in my car and even brought it out to me. We talked for a few minutes and it was a pleasure. The place is clean, they are very ontoo of Covid protocols and most of all the food is priced reasonably and taste amazing!!!!!!

If you like Thai, you will not be disappointed !!

If you want a filling, delicious, flavorful, authentic Thai meal that you will talk about for daysssss after you've eaten it, then this is the place for you! We have been searching for a good local Thai place for a very long time now. After reading other reviews, we decided to try Absolute Thai last night. Hands down a great decision! We ordered the shrimp and chicken dumplings, chicken satay, drunken noodles with chicken (spicy) and thai basil fried rice with chicken. WOW!! This was some of the BEST Thai food we have ever had. We've tried many Thai restaurants in NYC, NJ and PA, and were extremely impressed by Absolute Thai's flavor profile, quality, quantity and menu options. It was the kind of dinner that we woke up the next morning still talking about...!

The shrimp and chicken dumplings were hot, steamed wonton skins filled with ground shrimp and chicken. These were a good appetizer, not mushy or too soft at all and the filling was hefty for an appetizer. We inhaled them so fast! The dumpling soy sauce had a sweet and salty flavor. The chicken satay were large pieces (5 to an order) and the peanut sauce that came with it was absolutely delicious, we wanted to drink it. Many places we've tried usually have small portions for their appetizers, but this was not the case here. The pieces of chicken were big, grilled and flavored really well. The Drunken noodles OMG. You will not be disappointed. The sauces the chef used in this dish are the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, salty and delicious. The noodles were big, the carrots, bell pepper, green beans were fresh, with enough bite to them and the dinner portion was enough to fill a hungry belly. We ordered the drunken noodles spicy and YES- it was exactly the way we wanted it- the spice level was PERFECT, you could feel the spice for sure and it was enough heat to keep you wanting more. The thai basil fried rice had such a great flavor with egg, garlic, onion, fresh crispy vegetables like carrots and green beans. This experience was a sensory explosion: the look of the fresh noodles and crisp colorful vegetables, the aroma of the spice, thai basil and sauces, the unique flavor of each dish.

Note: If you are not used to spicy food, make sure you choose the right level of heat: no spice, mild, medium, spicy and Thai spicy are the options on their website. Plus you can add vegetables or extra protein to almost every dish: chicken, tofu, beef, shrimp, crispy pork, crispy duck, whole red snapper.

This is also the kind of restaurant where the price of the food (which is priced well to begin with) actually matches the quality and quantity. And that makes us very happy =) The staff were so friendly over the phone when we placed our order and in person when we picked it up. The food was ready right on time. They are all wearing masks and have plexiglass screens at the counters. We can't wait to come back and try the other options on their menu. We agreed that we are definitely going to be regulars here!!

SO DELICIOUS! We just moved into the area and were missing our old go-to Thai restaurant so we decided to give Absolute Thai a try - wow! This blows our old Thai favorite out of the water! Our meal was hot, flavorful and plentiful! Restaurant was very clean and the employees were ABSOLUTE-ly lovely! Thank you!

Ordered the pad se-eew and chili fried rice tonight everything was amazing! I am so happy there is finally a great thai place in town:) the food tasted great and everything was so fresh! Also the thai iced tea i could drink them every day from here sooo good!

I've been waiting to find another Thai place like this! The food was great and the portions were plentiful for my whole family. We ordered some basic items to try it out (Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, seafood rolls - All were fantastic) and now we're just anxious to dive deeper into the menu!

Finally, a very DELICIOUS & FRESH Thai restaurant in the area! We usually order the Tom Yum soup with chicken and the fried rice dishes... sooo yummy! Also hooked on the Thai iced tea and we just found out they have bubble tea so can’t wait to try that next time. Staff are super nice!!!! We’ll definitely become regulars :)

June is back! Loved loved all our food. The wings, soup , Thai fried rice and noodle dishes were excellent! Thank you for the extra snacks too. So excited to have this gem in monroe and also to see our friend again! We’ll be back. All the best!

What a great addition to the community, and an ideal location for residents of Manalapan, Old Bridge & Monroe! Finally - a Thai restaurant with great food and great service within reach!
I had read the previous reviews and noticed many people recommended the curry puff appetizer -- so I have to do my part now, and confirm this recommendation for other curious diners! We also ordered red curry (with chicken), drunken noodles (with beef) and pad thai (with shrimp) for dinner. Tasty comfort food all across the board; we enjoyed our meals. Personally, I love extra flavor and extra heat, but as I was sharing my food with my family, I decided not to customize. But I do look forward to my next order and will see how spicy I can get my curry next time!

Ordered for the first Time today , ordered 5 dishes on the menu across starters, rice, curry and stir fry.. definitely not excited about their food.. taste was substandard.. quality of the dishes was also not that good, undercooked food lacking the flavors.. very disappointed.

We ordered from Absolute Thai twice already. Each time there was consistency with their great tasting food.

I highly recommend their food and it is similar to NY Thai food which is hard to find in NJ.

Food was amazing!!! Love supporting small businesses. June, the owner, was so sweet. She even made us Thai teas which were so delicious. So happy to have a place like this in Monroe. Can’t wait to come back.

We were very fortunate to have sampled a number of Absolute Thai's dishes prior to their opening later this month. Our party had the following:

- Absolute Rolls
- Wings
- Absolute Salad w/ Roasted Sesame Dressing
- Sweet and Sour Crispy Duck
- Beef Thai Fried Rice
- Chicken Tom Yum Fried Rice
- Spaghetti Kee-Mao
- Steamed Jasmine Rice
- Thai Iced Tea

Every dish was perfectly done. All of the ingredients were fresh and the sauces and dressings were perfect complements. If I had to choose my top 3 from our selection, it would be the Wings, Sweet & Sour Crispy Duck and the Spaghetti Kee-Mao. That is not a negative on any of the other items as it was difficult to choose my top 3 from such a flavorful selection.

The restaurant is warm and well-appointed with gold and dark wood throughout. The layout is airy and spacious and the restrooms are clean and tidy. The restaurant is only doing takeout and delivery until indoor dining conditions improve at a later date. Call for current available options.

It's so nice to have an excellent Thai restaurant option in the area. June, the owner, is very friendly & outgoing. She has many years of successful Thai restaurant operations and cooking experience. She is also well-known in the area and you will find her and her family to be warm and friendly.

Can't wait until our next visit to try more of their dishes!
