I had a nice experience at Thai Ginger in Merchantville! I went with three of my girlfriends and an infant, and from start to finish, everything was good. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome right away.

The food was delicious—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Despite the flow of takeout orders, there weren’t many dine-in customers, which was surprising given how the place was super cute, making it a great spot for a cozy meal with friends. If you’re looking for an intimate, quality Thai dining experience, I’d definitely recommend Thai Ginger for small groups. I’ll definitely be back!

Diner Review №3

We ordered lunch for our office today and everything came out hot and delicious!

Diner Review №4

Girls Day out, and we decided to stop here for a bite. Did not disappoint. I started with Tom Kha soup. Was delicious. My friend ordered spring rolls. Next she ordered salmon mango. She said it was very good. I ordered Wild Ginger. Very good. A couple of cups of Ginger tea. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Certainly warrants a return trip.

I am pretty sure my son and I got food poisoning from here. If you need more you can keep reading.

While the service was amazing the food was not only subpar but something just was not right. The moment I actually swallowed the first bite I knew something was off and then my son said his stomach felt funny. We immediately got the check and left without eating more than two bites. $80 for an adult and child to eat and almost two days of misery for both of us to recover from eating here. He was so sick I called him out of school.

By absolutely no means do not eat here.

I have ordered from this establishment on a number of occasions without any major issue with the food. The main issue comes in about its appropriateness for this community. Most of its customers come from local residents. In essence, we keep them in business. However, when it is time to return the favor for the people of this community that support them, they are not available. During any holiday parade or gathering where the community comes together as one family, this business closes its doors and turns its back to the people who live there. Therefore, I do not feel as though they see themselves as a part of our Merchantville union, but just a business to make money off of us. They may fair better in another town, but for Merchantville this is not the energy or the atmosphere for that type of behavior.

Staff is very friendly. Food is always delicious and portions of very very generous!

Delicious panang curry, I had mine with tofu. Perfect spice level. We had the $40 combo, a great dinner deal for two people. I enjoyed the spring rolls. My dinner companion said the chicken dumplings were “fine.” We both treated ourselves to the Thai iced tea, which were sweet and creamy and delicious.

Diner Review №14

We had the 2 dinner, 2 appetizer and 2 drink special. It was a good amount of food and everything was so delicious. My son had a wide rice noodle meal and he wouldn’t let us eat any, he loved it so much! We left stuffed because everything was so good, we wanted to taste everything! Service was wonderful. Such nice staff, good prices!

Diner Review №16

The restaurant itself was very nice. I got take out chicken pad thai, double chicken. I requested soy sauce and peanut sauce on the side. I was already paying $20 for my meal and they had the nerve to want to charge me $4 for peanut sauce which should be included. The chicken pad thai was bland and didn't have much flavor. I will never go here again.

Diner Review №17

Red curry was delicious but Pad Thai and drunken noodles were meh....

Diner Review №18

It was good ! We found it randomly ! The sweetest lady took care of us

Diner Review №19

I have been twice to dine in. I discovered the first time that you need to not assume that something labeled spicy, with 2 🔥🔥, will be actually spicy. The second visit I requested extra spicy, a 3, and it was definitely a level 3 compared to other Thai restaurants, and very good. Basil Fried Rice with shrimp yum. Tom Kha soup yum. Thai Iced Tea yum. Steamed Veggies yum, Spicy Ginger Beef good. Service was great. Too quiet. 1-3 tables filled max. Restaurant was ultra clean, lots of white and light grey colors with wood wall and tables/chairs. Love the King Rama Wood carved sign/accent piece. I'll be back for sure.

Diner Review №20

Phenomenal food and service. This is our favorite Thai place in the area by far!

Diner Review №21

Ordered delivery. Drunken noodles with chicken and drunken noodles with colossal shrimp. Shrimp are tiny maybe 41/50s at best. Very bland. Much better places locally to get Thai food

Diner Review №22

My husband and I finally had the chance to stop by Thai Ginger 2, we’ve been wanting to try them out since they first opened. The service was great; very kind and welcoming. We went with the $40 combo, which included an appetizer (dumplings and spring rolls,) 2 entrees from the list provided, and 2 drinks. From our appetizers to our entrees, everything was fresh and delicious! For our entrees we tried the Drunken Noodles and Thai Fried Rice, we loved them both! The portions were filling, we had leftovers. We will definitely go back!

Diner Review №23

The best drunken noodles I’ve had in NJ!! I also had the coconut milk lemon flavored drink…DELICIOUS! Very nice staff, clean and very comfortable.

Diner Review №24

We had been looking for a new thai place after the one close to our house went down in quality. This place did not disappoint. The ladies up front and kitchen were really sweet. We enjoyed the mango curry, drunken noodles and the red curry which was probably the best in the area. The ambiance is pretty nice too. We will be back.

Diner Review №25

Diner Review №26

The beef in the drunken noodle was awful- didn’t taste fresh and was chewy beyond belief in the worst way possible

Diner Review №27

I love Thai food and I've tried so many places. This is easily one of the top places I've ever been. The food was amazing and the staff were very nice.

Diner Review №28

Went here for their $40 special, and was hoping to get more than a small portion. Not only was the drunken noodle noodles was tough & definitely not fresh like it's been sitting out, the chicken in it was also rubbery. The flavor was ok spice was decent but not spicy. Only thing was meal was very salty.
Penang Curry was a small bowl filled with soup, not enough chicken or other ingredients in it. It came with a half cup of rice. Customer service was good because we're the only ones eating there. I was really hoping this place was better.

Diner Review №29

Fantastic food, chic atmosphere, and kind staff! I got the mango salad and the flavors were soooo good! The chili lime sauce they made was sweet and spicy with just enough heat to add flavor without overwhelming any of the other flavors. My friend also had one of their curries and said it was the best he's ever had. (I forget the exact curry, sorry!) The Thai iced tea is perfect. Cannot recommend this place enough! 👍 👍 👍

Diner Review №31

We did a take out order of Pad Thai, spring rolls, and Drunken noodles w/ veggies. Everything was fresh, deliciously seasoned and flavored. Thank you to the Chef and I'm so excited this place opened in Merchantville! I'll order from here all the time.

Diner Review №32

We had dinner on Saturday evening. The food was incredibly delicious. The appetizers were wonderful. I had the Salmon Mango Salsa, Yummy!! A lot of food and worth it. Only criticism is it was so very hot outside and the AC was not keeping up. Definitely will return!!

Diner Review №33

Order padthai because of good reviews is fake never had that bad don’t look at their review too sweet and too much sauce go another place don’t waste your money

Diner Review №34

Cute spot! Food is delicious and the staff are super friendly! We’ll definitely be back to visit.

Diner Review №35

Took a take out for Thai basil friend rice, enjoyed the amount of veggies with it. It tasted well, I might order again here!

Diner Review №36

Bland food

Diner Review №37

Great food, people and vibes. Highly recommend and I never really write reviews!

Diner Review №38

I’m surprised at the number of positive reviews for this restaurant as I was thoroughly disappointed. The veggies and protein was perfectly cooked, but everything was bland beyond recognition. I’ve been eating Thai food for the better part of 15yrs and this is easily the worst I’ve ever had.

Edited 6/9/24:
I don’t like to waste food, so I decided to ‘doctor up’ the fried rice dish so it’s more enjoyable to eat. I’ll be doing the same to the Drunken Noodle dish. It at least looks more appetizing.

Diner Review №39

We tried Thai Ginger 2 for take out a few weeks ago. Food was amazing then. We then decided to eat in. The resturant us very clean, the host was very friendly, the food came out in a timely manner and was very fresh. Their Thai tea is my favorite of all the Thai resturants that I have tried. Food was amazing again. And the combo deal really is a great deal!! I highly recommend this resturant. It's a Merchantville hidden gem!

Diner Review №40

Order take out was bland and over priced never again, really wanted to like it. I had the pineapple chicken fried rice 15-16$ HORRIBLE

Diner Review №41

Nice place, the food is really good but the decor is bland. They need to hire an Interior Decorator. 3.7 star out of 5.

Diner Review №42

It was my first visit. So yummy. Plenty of food.

Diner Review №43

What a treasure for Merchantville...great food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service!

Diner Review №44

It was my first visit, and I hope my entree was the exception to the norm.i ordered a mild ginger chicken and vegetable dish with jasmine rice. The chicken was overcooked and there was no depth of flavor to the dish. The crab dumpling appetizer was excellent! The Thai iced tea was overly sweet for my liking.

Diner Review №45

Definitely recommend coming here with family and friends the quality of the food was outstanding.

Diner Review №46

The food was excellent

Diner Review №47

Diner Review №48

The food was really good and the staff is so nice! I took a Thai ice tea and the drunken noodles with beef but there were also vegetarian options. The large noodles were so tasty, I will definitely come back to try another dish!

Diner Review №49

I ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu and vegetables... delicious! Recommended!

Diner Review №50

Amazing food! I've gotten various fried rice options and a curry so far from them and loved the food every time. The staff is very friendly and willing to make recommendations to people who are new to the cuisine and will steer you in the right direction when it comes to how spicy you want your food (if even spicy at all!). The store is nice; very clean and a wonderful ambiance. The decor isn't flashy or in your face. A 5 star experience to be sure!

Diner Review №51

Never again!!! I’m a frequent Thai eater and I was so disappointed. I spent $35 just to get some hard dry overly cooked snapper nuggets. I asked for wild ginger snapper which I thought was broiled. No seasoning or ginger taste on it. Just rubbery.
The best thing was the vegetable soup.
I could have went to a regular Chinese takeout and got something better and half the price.
Snapper is pricier so I thought I was getting a good meal. Nope……Ripped off.
I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be good when a woman came out the back and didn’t acknowledge me standing at the register.

Diner Review №52

The absolute best most fresh curry ever!

Diner Review №53

Well, this was quite a find. A must try for Thai lovers. Brand new place. We tried three duck dishes (pinapple, ginger, soup), tofu pad thai, and peanut chicken, all delicious and found in gorgeous ceremic plates. Service was impeccably attentive.

Diner Review №54

Had a great meal with wonderful service this eve. A couple near us said they’ve been there six times since they opened two months ago and have loved everything they’ve had. A must visit.

Diner Review №55

Delicious food, friendly staff, beautiful space. Totally enjoyed our experience. We will definitely go back! The Sticky rice and mango and ginger ice cream were a perfect end to our meal.

Diner Review №56

Loved the red curry!

Me and my wife got some take out from here and it was terrific! Incredibly tasty and was delivered super quick! I am definitely ordering again!

Diner Review №60

New hidden gem!! Flavors are authentically phenomenal. Perfect spice level for those that frequently enjoy asian food. The staff was super friendly. There are vegan CHOICES including an amazing appetizer. We will be back often

Diner Review №61

Good food and good service 👍

Diner Review №62

Definitely try this place! Great service, reasonable prices and excellent food! Best Thai in the area.

Diner Review №63

We've made two visits to the new Thai Ginger 2 in Merchantville. Our first visit was for takeout. The order was ready on time and the food was very good. We ate at the restaurant on our second visit, almost exactly one month later. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food, once again, was very good. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Soft piano music was playing at the beginning of our visit, which we especially liked. In person or when ordering takeout, you can easily adjust spice and salt, even fat levels, of the dishes you order. We like spicy food, but found that Spice Level 2 met that requirement at this new Thai restaurant. There are also many options of dishes made with tofu for vegans/vegetarians. The only dish I would tell you to avoid, is the Chive Vegetable Dumplings. They sound so good, but they are really just fried squares of dough (?) coated in chives and flavored with garlic - overall just too fatty/greasy. Otherwise, do give this new Thai restaurant a try. The food is fresh, authentic and flavorful. It's also a BYOB. Well worth your time!

Diner Review №64

This was actually our second time to Thai Ginger , first time eating in. Previously had Green and Yellow curry that were very good (and the spice level correct for what we requested). This time was the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. In Thailand we had a mini quest to try as much pad Thai as possible and this holds up to what we had there, drunken noodle was somehow even better. The staff is wonderful, no long waits despite it being Saturday evening. We will be back again, have to go through the whole menu : )

Diner Review №65

This is a really nice restaurant. I hope this one is here to stay. This property previously had two different owners with two different establishments. One of them was a diner and the other was a seafood restaurant. I’ve lived around here for 18 years and I’m just down the street so I’m always riding past this property. None of the other restaurants seemed all that interesting but I really enjoyed this one. My sister and I love Thai food so I was glad to hear that they turned this place into a thai restaurant. I had the see ew and mango sticky rice. Everything was delicious! I can’t wait to come back.

Really good. We had a party of 6 for a birthday. We found the service exceptional. Ask questions about the menu if you’re unsure what to order. The staff will oblige.
Three words for me: Duck Noodle Soup.
The broth is phenomenal. If it’s a cold day or raining this stuff WILL hit the spot.

Diner Review №70

Delicious! Fresh food. Amazing flavor. Highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

Diner Review №71

Oh. My. God. This place is delicious! I'm so glad to see it in the neighborhood. If you like Thai food or just curious, this is the place to go, but I might ruin it if ever eat somewhere else. I have nothing to say but good things about the food.

I ordered takeout, but the restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely be eating there and taking friends.

Diner Review №72

AMAZING food. Great bang for your buck--each Entree is essentially 2 meals. Pad Thai and mango sticky rice are great. Golden pouches filling (crab Rangoon type of dish) is out of this world good. Well worth the hype

Diner Review №73

Great food!

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

Excellent Thai restaurant highly recommend dishes ordered was spring roll and the golden pouch for appetizer and for entrée, spicy ginger beef and chicken with mixed vegetables all five stars

Diner Review №76

I cannot stress this enough - this is THE BEST food I’ve ever had. We ate the crispy pouches, yellow curry with duck (I don’t even like duck but I’d eat this every day), and drunken noodles with chicken and shrimp. The staff were so kind and the atmosphere is charming. It was SO good, we got take out a few days later with extended family - chicken satay, panang curry, pad see ew with chicken, and devil basil chicken. No one could get enough. It was DELICIOUS!

Diner Review №77

Dinner was excellent. We went with a group. Recommend the duck soup, paneng curry, drunken noodles, and Thai basil rice. BYOB is a huge plus.

Diner Review №78

Wow- this place is incredible! High quality food and drinks, wonderful flavors, and hearty portions. We got the Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Panang Curry, Cucumber Salad, and Thai Teas to-go, and everything was AMAZING. We’ll become regulars soon!

Diner Review №79

Got some takeout including Tom yum, a basil fried rice, spicy ginger beef, and a Thai herb rolls. Delicious food. Really good. Can't-stop-eating-it good. The prices are a little elevated but so is the quality. The dining room is bright and modern. Looking forward to returning.

Diner Review №80

Found Thai Ginger 2 after the Blue Monkey’s wait was too long and I’m so happy we did. Everything was so fresh and amazing.
Excited to try more because the drunken noodles and chicken pad Thai were both unreal. The golden pouches were particularly delicious.
Service was great and the place is beautiful.

Diner Review №81

Holy cow we literally went walking because Blue Monkey Tavern had a long wait and ran into this new location which just opened last week. Staff were very friendly, restaurant looks so nice a cool, and the food… I AM OBSESSED WITH THE GOLDEN POUCHES. JUST TRY THEM, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. We also had drunken noodles and pad thai at our table which were HITS—really fresh and tasty!
