New Thai restaurant opened in Journal square. Tried the pad Thai, and was one of the best pad Thai I’ve tried so far in New Jersey. Owner was kind enough to show me around and staff was super friendly. Price is reasonable, I highly recommend.

I just tried Thai Plates for dinner and wow, what a gem! The atmosphere is cozy and modern, with a welcoming vibe right when you walk in. The food was packed with flavor just the way I like.
We started with the Thai iced tea, which is a must try! It was perfectly sweet and refreshing. For the main course, we went with the spicy Thai basil with egg, salmon rice, and the crispy chicken, which came with a side of rich Thai curry. The curry was perfectly creamy, and the salmon was cooked beautifully. Their sticky mango rice was also perfectt with just the right amount of sweetness.
Highly recommended!!!! Must visit if you’re in the area and craving Thai food. Can’t wait to go back!

When i entered Thai Plates restaurant the 1st time, the entire atmosphere, vibe with upbeat music playing in the background grabbed my attention and i knew the authentic aroma from the kitchen was going to fulfill my cravings. Immediately, i went for the Drunken Noodles and the Golden Wings. These dishes tasted better than any Thai restaurants that I have tried in the neighborhood and I knew i would come back for some more. Eventually, I tried the Mango Sticky Rice which left me speechless! These meals met my expectations and I have yet to try many original and exquisite dishes from Thai Plates. I would definitely recommend Thai Plates for anyone craving for authentic Thai cuisine!

I have to say I was extremely impressed with the food at Thai Plates! We have been looking for a good Thai spot in jersey city and this place hit the spot! We did a pick up order and ordered chicken fried rice that we got spicy as well as pad ka prow with egg and chicken also spicy! And no lie if you ask for spicy, it sure was spicy! But still had a lot of great flavor! The prices were slightly higher than what I expected but honestly you get a lot for what it’s worth! The Thai iced Tea was on point! We loved the aspect that it was in a can but still had so much flavor!

The food was ready quickly too which was great for pick up!

The location is very convenient as it’s right next to the dmv as well as the path (only a few minutes away walking distance). The only downside I noticed is when I walked in it was a bit smoky in there! You can tell they are definitely working hard! Hopefully that can be fixed in case you wanted to sit down and eat in which they have a few small tables.

Otherwise great place and excited to have you all in Jersey City!

Welcome to the neighborhood with your fabulous Thai goodnissss! I took a chance on this new spot & got spring rolls, golden wings, and crispy duck. Freshly made, wonderful spices, great sauces. Friendly service. Not too much seating, but the food packed up nice and was still warm when I got home. Being so close to transportation makes it an easy tasty choice.

I have never been more blown away by how nice people working at a restaurant are. I had to take a second to process a few times just over how nice the service is. And the food was outright amazing too, they have very simple but delicious Pad Thais. I know every other review for this place is great but they really are an excellent location with great food and service.

The "Classic Fried Rice" at [Thai plates] were a standout dish - perfectly cooked. The service was attentive and friendly, and the overall ambiance was warm and inviting, making for a lovely evening out.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can't wait to come back. The crispy duck was particularly my favourite.

A1 place. Try everything from the TP-Special specially Udon Pad Thai. They have plenty of options l. The service is A1 and the space is clean and neat.
