Welcome to Pandan Asian Cuisine! Serving a fusion of PHILIPPINES AND THAILAND foods.
I had grilled fish and chicken. The spices they use are outstanding ,unique to the Philippines and delicious .The service was quick and professional. The place was a little stark and rundown. But who cares ,the overall experience was simply wonderful.
Crispy pata here is so good! Kare Kare is a must try here since they they leave peanut chunks on the sauce plus the veggies are fresh and it’s up to you to mix them up when you’re ready to eat. Halo-halo was ok, missing kaong and nata de coco but overall it’s still good since they had ube halaya and leche flan on it.
Pandan serves Filipino/ Asian cuisine. Food is good, menu has lots of choices, place is clean, small but cozy. Weekends could be busy so you may want to make a reservation. Parking could also be difficult since it’s located on a busy street but don’t let that get in the way. You’ll definitely be coming back!
We discovered Pandan when wandering Bloomfield between Christmas and New Year’s. What a fantastic find! The food was fresh and delicious - just as I remembered from when visiting the Philippines. Adobo pork belly was excellent and paired well with fresh Buko drink. I wish it was around when we lived in Bloomfield many years ago.

Incredible restaurant !! Try it
I had the best ever crispy pasta here. The skin was perfectly crispy. The meat was moist and juicy. The kare kare my wife liked as well as the fried tofu which was fried perfectly as well.
Celebrated Tita Max birthday there yesterday, November 16 with family and friends. Everything that we ordered were really delicious and reasonably priced. We had Bangos Sisig, Laing, Kare Kare, Crispy Pata, Pancit Bihon, Pancit Molo. Will definitely go back there, we drove for almost 1 hour but it's so worth it.
Go to place for a good Filipino dish.
It said online they closed 9pm.We went there 8pm they don't serve anymore wasting time to go in this place.
I went there to have lunch, the lady who was in front was rude. Was asking for a menu, she rudely said ‘we do not have a menu scan your phone!’ That is not how you treat a customer. Even if i liked the food I will
Not go back there because of the rudeness of that employee!
Love this place
My wife and I had a delightful lunch at Pandan this afternoon - every dish was a joy, plentiful portions and impeccably presented. Service was excellent! This is a not to be missed dining experience and a local gem!
Yum!!!!
Sooo Good!

No hate. Food is good but portion size is kind of a robbery.
Unfortunately disappointed in both their food and service.
When I arrived for my order, the woman who took my payment did not converse at all except when I asked for the total. It felt unwelcoming and awkward. I entered and left with no greeting and no one helped me to my order so I just looked for it myself.
Food itself was also not great. Kare kare was very bland, I could only eat two bites before deciding I had to adjust it.
Sisig seems to have lemon instead of calamansi. The lemon flavor was overpowering and just didn't taste right in the dish.
We had a big family meal here. We ate kare kare, pork sinigang, lumpia Shanghai, pancit mixed, lechon kawali, turon and a Pandan drink. Food was really delicious and we left really happy. The staff were nice too. They had a nice conversation about the fruits on the painting on the wall behind our table with us.
Been dining here almost twice a month, food is good and not salty at all. I love their crispy pata and adobo rice the most. Turon with ice cream for the best dessert :)
Very good Filipino food without having to trek out to Queens. They also have some Thai and Vietnamese dishes for those who are so adventurous. If you never had Filipino food before, dip your feet in by ordering lumpiang Shanghai (Filipino spring rolls).
Crispy pata is very good. Their kare-kare is also good. They put the steamed vegetables in on top of it instead of mixing it in like many other places.
Save room for their halo halo with ube ice cream or toron.
Note: BYO. There’s a store a couple of blocks away.
My Family and I and friends have been coming to Pandan for years and we will continue to do so. Everything is amazing and delicious and we love the staff. Super sweet and it just feels as if they are extended family.
Excellent food selections. Great taste. Affordable price. Excellent customer service.
Overall the food is good, but beware if you are accustomed to the traditional chicken and pork adobo, with key ingredients, vinegar and soy sauce. They do not have it, which they admitted to when we ordered something that seemed to be it, until we saw it. The item on the menu which is titled Chicken and Pork Adobo, has a more detailed description, which we missed.
Bottom line: If you are coming here for traditional chicken and pork adobo, they don't have it!
What they do have I have shown below.
I take my kids to Pandan for their fantastic Halo-Halo. Their meals are excellent, too. I especially enjoy their Pork Sisig. My only issue is that it's a little small, but that's a tiny complaint for such quality food.
My all time favorite place to eat where it feels like home....
Their BBQ chicken with rice and their Halo-Halo are the best! I will definitely be trying more of their menu items. Food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly.
We’re from Jersey City and its our first time going to Pandan Restaurant and it the best Filipino place we’ve ever been! Everything is delicious! Excellent service and clean and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit when in Bloomfield area.
Great asian cuisine mostly Filipino...
My wife and I planned on going to Max's however it was closed due to maintenance. While in East West Market on Belleville Avenue ( next to Max's) a gentleman told me about Pandan Rose Cuisine on Broad Street and that my wife and I would enjoy it. Because it was only 5 minutes away we decided to go. Most of the experience was positive including cleanliness of the restaurant and food. The only negative thing...if you want to call it that...is that we did not feel welcomed. We are from out of town and you think that the staff would be friendly which they weren't. Customer service is important in the restaurant business as well as any public business. All in all, I could not give this restaurant 5 stars because of the poor customer service we received. The food was very good.
There were 3.5% extra charge for credit cards. 90% of the customers are Philippines during our visit, the TV was playing the recording of the 70s and people were singing with it. We had the entree of grilled squid and Pandan fried rice, both tasted fresh without being too salty/oily. we liked them. The space is not big but we sat comfortably with kids. Spring roll with shrimp was ok but not as good. There were sufficient space for people with two kids to sit comfortably.
Good Philippines and Thai food. Reasonable prices. Awesome Philippine desserts.... make reservations. Easier that way to get a seat.
Bought halo halo they put ice cream & leche flan on top to make it look theres a lot of toppings then when you mix everything there's not much mix fruit on the bottom. Mostly ice 🤦🏻♀️
Food from the heart, fresh authentic Asian cuisine. Salmon curry a must try
I love this restaurant!
The serving staff is pleasant and helpful..the food is delicious👌definitely we will come back and recommend this restaurant.
Highly disrespectful servers. Pandan is a place where you can pay a fortune for disgusting food served to you by arrogant and aggressive people. They were looking for a fight... glaring and make nasty, condescending remarks if you have the audacity to mention that something is not good. They then go insist you pay a 20% tip for their horrible display of a lack of human decency and customer service
Very rude staff, quality of food has really gone down to a point where the food is inedible. If you’re a self respecting Filipino you’ll avoid at all costs!! STAY AWAY. (They force a 20% tip on the bill be warned)
Awesome service and excellent food, as always! Friendly and courteous servers. Decent prices.
bastos! You guys just go to MAX restaurant close by.. Arrogant waiter!!! No manners!
if i could give 0 i would.. I ask to clarify that the service charge was a tip since it was charge at 20%. then i just said “wow grabe naman kayo”.. mean the resto in general.. then she burst out and started giving me attitude!.. basically regardless if that girl is arrogant(bastos) and mean-walang galang.. and regardless if the service is awful or the food is not good you still get charge of 20% for an awful service.. and the other guy just said because she has ”period”. just because she has her menstrual period she has the right to be mean.. that the service of our $119 bill
20% tip-charged for 2 adult 3toddler and an infant plus $4 surcharge and disrespectful burst out
Personal fave: Chicken Gata with Bamboo shoots, Pancit malabon, Grilled pork belly, coffee + mocha cake.
My best friend suggested we go have lunch here and it was amazing. the atmosphere was very inviting and the food was delicious.

We had the Crispy Pata, Lumpiang Sariwa for lunch and Pandan cake for desert with my co-workers. Sarap! We'll be back for more!
Tasty food but the prices are much higher than the menu.
11/10
The food were delicious and the staff were friendly.
Simply delicious.
If you're new to Filipino food, the Chicken and Pork adobo is a great starting place!
Consistently good Filipino food
Foods were delicious. 😊
Good food, friendly and efficient service. Recommended!
Excellent Filipino cuisine as well as their service. Price reasonable!!
I have received amazing service from Pandan for years! Best filipino dishes, drinks, and desserts in a pleasant dining atmosphere.
take out service is way too slow, 45 mins since calling and order not ready when I arrived.
Food was good, the lumpia was great...
Yummy all around! If you like authentic Filipino food then don’t miss this place. My family is Filipino and we eat here whenever we get that “craving”. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is good. They do get busy at times so be patient. It’s worth it !
1st time there this past weekend. Wow, incredible service and food.
Always a pleasant experience going here. Good food, courteous staff, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely a great spot to go to!
Excellent Filipino and Thai cuisine! Always well- prepared, and service is very good, too! A clean and pleasant atmosphere here, too!
Loved this place! Leave room for dessert, it's so worth it!
A hidden filipino gem at the heart of bloomfield NJ.
Crispy Pata had a weird taste. Banana turon was dry and lacked sweetness. A lot of dishes on the menu are not available, not even halo halo. No Mango, Ube ice cream
Just vanilla ice cream. Not going back.
Great food and well priced. Filipino food at its best
The best filipino servers ever... Diffinetley I'm coming back sooner than later..
I won't be back, but that shouldn't affect you. One less than perfect meal is just that, one! Appetizers were good, great dumplings and spicy (as requested) mussels. Meal was just so-so. Shrimp soup with noodles was very bland, like shrimp boiled in water, end of story. Service was a bit off.
At the same time, there were other groups that seemed like regulars that were totally enjoying food, service, and atmosphere.
Looks nice from the outside.
We love some of their specialty foods like lumpiang ubod, molo soup, crispy pata, letchon kawali. And the dessert pandan deligth.Try those foods you will not forget how delicious those food are.
They are so warm here. Awesome staff and the tastiest roast duck you can have. I love Pandan Asian Cuisine. I was elated when I tried their pineapple rice😋 They are right in my neighborhood. I
Excellent lounpias
The meat of the lechon kawali is stale, like its been in the freezer for a long time. I mentioned to the guy who took the order that the last time I ordered lechon kawali it was stale and meat was rubbery and old. I ordered again today thinking that it was probably a one time thing but it’s still thesame
Delicious authentic Filipino food. Has most of the traditional dishes with some Vietnamese and Thai offerings. Also allows BYOB!!!
Great food and friendly staff!
Good Food. Parking available a block away. I gave 3 stars because of they 18% they automatically charged for 4 guests. No loss though because I usually tip 20%. They are suppose to do that for a party of 6 or more.
Great food!!
This was one of our favorite restaurants until our recent visit. The waiter accidentally spilled pandan drink all over my pants and sandals. He apologized but I was surprised to see the 18% service charge on the receipt.
Nice place 😊
Food was great
Good food, customer service and prices
Place is clean and has nice ambiance. Food is delicious and presentable and appetizing. They provide friendly service. There's Filipino food as well as Thai food. Be aware they charge mandatory 18% that's already incorporated in the bill for a party of six or more.
I love it, someone who never eats Asian food. You'll love it! They are awesome. Small restaurant and quick service. Cute place
First time here. Ordered pansit molo and it tasted like the free wonton soup with the Chinese lunch deal. Kare-kare was soupy and lacking peanut. Cake was superb. The server was accommodating and friendly.
Just okay
Great service. Friendly staff.
The food is always delicious.
We will come back again.
The food was good however there wasn't too many chicken dishes available. I wanted chicken adobo but it came premised with pork (a friend I'm having dinner with doesn't eat pork). No chicken bbq. The only chicken dishes available were chicken teriyaki and coconut chicken. This was disappointing.
The pancit and papaya salad were good. Halo halo was ok.
We’ve been a loyal costumer for the past 10 years and our favorites has always been the Kare kare and lechón, but in this past months we’ve noticed that’s the flavor of the food, specially the Kare Kare, wasn’t the same anymore. I don’t know if they have a new cook but We are a little disappointed. Please go back to the original recipe.
The food was ok. But on top of the 18% service charge they charged me an unauthorized additional amount of $20 to tip themselves. So the signature on the receipt meant nothing but will dispute with my bank.
My family and I tried this place today. We love the food and the place. We had the backroom and they even had a karaoke just for us. The backroom dining provides privacy if you have a large group. Highly recommended! My favorite is the molo soup!
We had the dinuguan, lechon kawali, sisig, and laing. Everything was perfect. The sisig is some of the best ive had. The kawali was crunchy and tender. The drinks were great. Food all came out at the same time pretty much and there was so much food, four of us ate dinner and breakfast with it and there is still food left. Highly recommend. They have been in business for 15 years and it shows.
Crispy duck salad is delicious
Love this place, but you have to like this kind of food.
Food is great...service is good..
Solid Filipino food. Limited menu but quality is fantastic. BYOB!
Hidden gem with such delicious flavors
That food is so good and the place is vary nice.
Food is really good and well selected. It’s the place to go when craving for Asian food.
Nice place
Lovely charming restaurant. Excellent friendly service. Delicious authentic food. Large portions at a most reasonable price.
Best Asian food
Nice ambience, good food 🙂
