Kong thai had some of the best thai food I’ve ever had. The crispy chicken fried rice was outstanding and a huge portion for lunch. My wife and I are on road trip along the east coast. We got takeouts from Kong thai 2 nights in a roll while staying at the hotel near by. I can't believe we found one of the best Thai food place in middle of the road in NH ! Ingredients are sooo fresh(top fine dinning quality) and portion is very comforting. I must say I was thoroughly disappointed after seeing so many good reviews. My takeout food was not good (the Thai noodle), compacted in a box that’s mushy and tastes flavorless - despite that it’s a big portion and still very hot when I got home. Maybe the table service is better but like many people said the place is modest but the food is supposed to be good. Also the Thai ice tea tasted like it’s made with spoiled coconut juice. Nothing like what I expected from an “authentic” Thai place. There are other Thai restaurants I had in nearby towns (Portsmouth and Exeter) that I had much better experience with.

We are avid enthusiasts of Thai cuisine and make it a point to enjoy it at least once during our vacations around the world. The elderly couple at this restaurant served some of the best Thai food we’ve encountered in our 25+ years of travel. The dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients, and even our picky-eater children enjoyed the meal.

We ordered Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups, both made with fresh mushrooms, along with Thai pineapple fried rice and red curry. Every dish was flavorful and clearly made with high-quality ingredients.

Traveling from Maine to New Jersey, we stayed in Hampton, NH, for a beach day. This restaurant truly enhanced our experience with its delicious food. If you’re in the area and craving Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit.

Don't let appearances fool you! The humble exterior and interior appearance just means more focus on the food at this restaurant! I've ordered food from here several times and it has become my new favorite Thai restaurant. I was up in the Seabrook area for business for a few weeks and I ate here at least once a week, and sometimes even twice! All of the dishes I've had were prepared amazingly fresh, flavorful, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this little restaurant. The service is awesome, friendly and very welcoming.

Love this place, most people take out, but we like to eat in when we can.

My family has been coming to this place for years, the owner recognizes us and is always so friendly. We always get the drunken noodles, thai fried rice, the tom kha soup, and sticky rice with mango, and it’s always been phenomenal. Can’t recommend kong thai enough, pretty sure I’ve never left a review before, this place just really deserves as many 5 star reviews as possible.

On the frou-frou scale, zip, zero, nada. On the food scale 10. I gave "Atmosphere" 5 stars because this "quaint" "unique" environment is an atmosphere of its own. Actually, the whole experience is unique, for me, except for a little village far from Bangkok, where the vegetables are still crisp (but not raw), and the chicken breast cut thick, allowing it to be tender, succulent and delicious without the over-cooked dry leather-like strips I have found in most US Thai restaurants I have frequented. Mushrooms in your soup? You'll get whole mushrooms, not cute little slices or chopped in squares. Tofu? Again, not itsy bits. Big chunks of tofu. Can you imagine the juicy, spicy, sweet, sour all-in experience of just a bowl of soup here?

If you value "country-style goodness," with the country being Thailand, then I highly recommend Kong Thai.

Note: I know this sounds like an advertisement, but look at my other reviews. I just tell it like it is/was. When I come back, and if it's awful, I'll write that too!

We always consider Thai food as a safe option.. but unfortunately we didn't have a great experience with food yesterday for lunch. Salad wasn't great, Pad Thai missed it's ingredients and was served without anything. Fried rice was a serving grace. And volcano chicken was ok as I never had them before. We chose this place looking at all the reviews, I wanted to give 1 star but I know it might affect their business.. hope they get things fixed soon..

The food was EXCELLENT, 4 for 4 on the 4 meals we got. Beautiful people running the show, nice atmosphere. Very happy, and we have 3 meals to eat later as no one could eat the entire meal!! A diamond in the rough.

Portions are big and it really brought back memories on Thailand. Flavor good and the service as well. Perhaps, because I have been in so many Thai restaurants, I compared the decor of those vs this one. I have seen that Thai restaurabts aproudly decorate with Thai art and even their dinner set is imported. But if you do not care about the ambience, then this is the place to stop for good Thai food.

We were in town picking up a bike and decided to try Kong Thai based on the reviews. Nothing much about the building would make you think of stopping. It's small and dated but super clean. It took a bit for our food to come due to a high volume of takeout. Worth every minute of the wait. My wife got the mango yellow curry and I had the crispy pad thai. We also shared crab rangoon. Everything is cooked to order, fresh and delicious and the service was great. I highly recommend this place for fresh and authentic Thai!

Worst Thai food I've ever had. Most went into the trash. Red curry chicken seemed like it was made with yellow curry powder -- certainly NOT red curry paste. Spicy rice had absolutely no spice and little flavor. Crab rangoons were horrible, as were the free spring rolls that were provided.

Today, I decided to make a visit to Kong Thai. As I said on Yelp, I had a really nice experience here. The first thing I want to note is that I love the nice quiet atmosphere in the small dining area (especially without any overhead music). Second, the owners are really nice and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Third, the food was great. I even tried the crispy spring rolls for the appetizer and they were just as delicious. The main course was absolutely delicious and enjoyable.

Kong Thai definitely deserves its critical acclaim for sure and is definitely worth a try! Kong Thai gets an A+!

I visited this restaurant while at the Brook & it made my evening. I felt I was in a kitchen at their home. I was served the best chicken pad Thai I have ever tasted. I ordered chicken satay that was 4 huge skewers with the best peanut dipping sauce I ever had. Was also given free bottle water & spring rolls! Myself & the gentleman at the counter had a nice chat about gambling as well.I really like these mom & pop restaurants, I will be back to try more.

The spicy basil with seafood combo had large shrimp, scallops, and calamari in a favorable broth and fresh vegetables. The Drunken Noodle dish was outstanding. This was my favorite Thai place in New England and I’m sad to say it has become very inconsistent. Three years ago it was cheap and provided huge portions. Occasionally the flavor would be off on a dish here and there, but the quantity and sub-$10 price made up for that. Now a Pad Thai is $13.95 plus $1 for the chicken. That’s fine, some places charge that but it needs to be consistently good at that price. Instead this last time my Pad Thai was dry, the flavor was off, the chicken was nearly nonexistent and it was just a big ball of stuck together noodles. The biggest offender was the egg shell I crunched on. Sure, mistakes happen but the combination of all of the factors is shocking and really disappointing.

We came here with a party of 12 for my uncles birthday. The place is quite small but the staff are very friendly and will accommodate any of your needs. The food is absolutely amazing, especially the curries and the fried rice dishes. They had an incredible amount of flavor and just the right amount of spice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any thai food lovers.

We were so delighted with this meal, my bosshawg and I decided to write these haikus (mine first, his second). We were from Boston to Portland and looking for a cozy meal on the way. it is only 2 minutes off 95, and so worth it. We got the tom yum (classic, heartwarming, so flavorful), fresh and fried spring rolls with yummy sweet sauces, and best of all the tofu green curry - the best I've ever had. It was so creamy and flavorful, with string beans and peas along with the usual carrots, etc. Looking forward to the next time we're in the area - I'll be dreaming of that curry for the rest of my long life.

Pad Thai was delicious! Food came out quickly and was nice and hot. Customer service was outstanding. Definitely will come back!

I have been going to Kong Thai for several years now - Pad Thai, Spicy Basil w/Chicken, Paneng Curry, Shrimp Red Curry, Tom Yum - all great and large portions. Tonight was great too. Yes, I am a fan and tonight was no exception.

So good! Humble spot, incredibly kind staff and the food was amazing Broccoli and Friend Tofu and Crispy Spring Rolls were awesome!

After we finished eating I wondered why there wasn't a line of people waiting to eat here. The food was excellent, the proprietor is super friendly, and prices are very reasonable. The egg rolls are simple and well done. we had a couple of different curries, and they were well worth returning to have again.

This place was absolutely amazing. The owners are sooooo friendly and will go above and beyond your expectations. Like if one person in your group asks for water- boom, they will insist on giving you waters for everyone. In addition to everything else, the food is worth going way out of your way for. It was also super good, well seasoned frim their garden outside, no doubt. I WILL be coming back, no matter the length of drive it will be, this place is worth the trip.

The food amazing, very tasty and the portions were very big. The employees were very very nice, funny and you can see that they enjoy the work.
