Vegas' Hole-in-the-Wall Thai Food Spot - Serving Cozy Authentic Flavors to the Neighborhood Since 1996!
Let me just say this was an excellent experience. Service was great! We ordered the beef satay and bbq pork for lunch. Very tasty. The cabbage soup was delicious too. The mango and sweet sticky rice was shaped in a heart. So friendly and helpful with ordering. I can’t wait to go back for dinner.
Great customer service but I noticed some things has changed. The food portions is not much for the flimsy brown box it came in. I enjoyed the location in California. The barbecue ribs S2 appeared to be a little old . The meat was dried and dark at the bone. The taste in a bit off from California. Other locations only add two shrimp to the rice and that's a bit cheap. It's a new day in time, 3 or 4 shrimp would be nice. Overall good food!
We been happy before but now it’s really disappointing. Chicken is cold like left over and dry the rib portions are not the same as before. It’s too small now. We been going in LA and it’s not same at all. The fried rice is small portion. We were disappointed the last 2 visits. Not recommended anymore
The food was amazing and delicious! I love the sturdiness of the cute to-go container and the food presentation was outstanding! I ordered the sliced bbq pork with rice. It came with cucumbers (sliced & carved), a boiled egg. I also ordered the garlic spareribs. It was another masterpiece! The portions were huge! The peach drink and the mango drink were delicious and the cups are a large serving! I'm so glad I stumbled across this place! Definitely will be back every other week until I've tasted the whole menu! Oh and the staff was friendly, helpful and professional! The interior and exterior was clean. Really is a great spot with great food cooked by great people!
This visit was the worst of all our trips in Vegas. It’s located in a strip mall and the interior is very dated. There were tips in the cushions in our booth. The food was hot and fast but lacked both good presentation and good taste.
I ordered egg fried rice and it was horrible. Waste 13.00 rice was gummy rice was sweet
I come here for the food. My favorite is the BBQ chicken
Disappointing. I ordered the bbq chicken with shrimp fried rice and chicken chow mein. The chow mein came out extremely fast it almost made me wonder if it was just sitting back there and they just heated it up. The bbq chicken was cold and dry and the fried rice was cold and mushy with barely any flavor. I used to go to the one in Downtown and let me tell you HUGE difference. When the server came over to charge my card I pressed no tip because I was going to leave cash I asked if I can get a printed receipt and she asked me are you going to tip? Lol never have I been asked by a server if I’m going to tip them.
Chicken bbq, seafood soup, chicken sate, beef sate, pad thai, shrimp fried rice, thai tea: All good!! Prices are reasonable. Service staff was attentive and delivered food quickly.
Loved this place. Great food and great service!! (No wonder it has great reviews). Wanted to try something on the other side of town and was not disappointed!! Highly recommend it.

Honestly, I wasn't impressed much, and the food quality doesn't match what you are paying for it.
Great service, tasty food and pleasant atmosphere.
Great service and good.
Great drunken noodles! I visited weeks ago and I’m still thinking about them. My companion got the pepper steak and also loved it
Great customer service but I noticed some things has changed. The food portions is not much for the flimsy brown box it came in. I enjoyed the location in California. Delicious food, excellent presentation, fast service, portions are ok, prices are fair, nice lunch stop!
Not recommended nasty 🤮 place
A nice unpretentious place to get good food at reasonable prices. The Beef Skewers are my favorite. I eat here at least once a month.
One of the Greatest Restaurant in Las Vegas
Amazing, Just like their Social media post. Food was high standard. Looked very good and tasted even better…. I definitely give 5 stars.
I ordered the ribs and shrimp fried rice. It cam with 3 ribs that were probably boiled first and set on a grill to get a few very small char marks. Which was not very appetizing.
The shrimp fried rice had 2 whole shrimp and a few broken pieces or shrimp. For $18.18 definitely not worth my money.
So i called back and asked how many shrimp come in the rice, she answered 3😳
A ton of rice and 3 shrimp.
The rice was actually good. I expected more shrimp. I definitely wint be going back.
The most authentic and best tasting Thai food in Las Vegas.
I have been going here for over 10 years and will continue to go back.
Pay no attention to the old sign nor the interior decorations, you are there for the BEST Thai food. Having been to Thailand many times, I find Thai BBQ very authentic and a good value for your money, the staff is always kind as well.
For my family we love a lot of dishes there but to top the list is the following; LARB, if your into beef salad this is the bomb ! Lots of crunchy rice and just the right amount of lime and chili's make a heavenly but healthy dish. My kids LOVE the Sautee, either beef or chicken we usually order a combo and it comes with the Shrimp fried rice. You also cant go wrong with any of the Curry's, my personal favorite is the Panang curry. Lets not stop there, the Pad Thai noodles or the Pad Se Ew are just a tasty. We try to order something new each time and have never gone wrong, its all good...check out Thai Iced tea and the soups too.
I know there are dozens of Thai places here in Las Vegas with fancy decor and high prices but nothing beats the good taste and value of Thai BBQ....see you guys again soon !
Update.
Went back the other day with my daughter just to have some good Thai food. Although it seems that the prices have gone up a little bit it's still a good value. Also the food is just simply delicious. I got the red Thai curry and my daughter got the house fried rice. And they were both just amazingly yummy. They give you a lot of food as well so there's plenty of food for sharing and bringing home as we both did.
We also got the Thai iced tea as we usually do and it was so delicious. If you've never tried Thai iced tea please try it there and you won't be disappointed.
This place continues to be one of our hidden gems especially when it comes to yummy Thai food I recommend to anybody.
Been eating from this chain of Thai BBQ since the original location in Los Angeles since I was a little girl. This is the only Thai restaurant I will come to. The food is so good and the portions are a good amount. Love it and now that I'm living in Vegas, I'm so happy I can still enjoy it!
I visited this place on Monday May 27th, 2024 with my family and our experience was the worst ever. Food was cold ,lack of communication with the waitress was horrible and they didn't understand what was the meaning of spice food.
Food was awesome!
Price was reasonable.
Would go again
9:34pm I tried to order for pick up and the guy says we are closing right now? Then why put a sign that you are open til 10pm?!?
This thai restaurant is too americanized. Pad thai and fried rice was quite bland. Mostly sweet. No thai spice at all.
Our local place for Tom Kha soup and grilled shrimp monster salad
So yummy! And I love the waitress. Very nice and helpful! 10/10
Best food ever. Very Kind service. I love when I’m greeted by DWALL! It makes my day. It’s a cozy place to eat at. It’s the bomb for takeout 🥡
Knew right away that I wanted shrimp yellow curry. They did not disappoint me, I cannot express just how friggin delicious the meal was.🥰
Fantastic Thai food, tastes like home cooking. Service was quick and very friendly!
The ribs are amazing.

Food and Thai tea was not what we expect to eat, taste bad it wasn’t the same as the original Thai bbq in LA, CA.
delicious!
Don’t Eat Here You Will Regret It
Tom yum small size doesn't have any veggies, the waitress did not told us it, were really small for the price.
Edamame taste spoiled.
Good food ! Really good Food ! That comes from some one that is not a fan of Thai food. But this place got me covered with multiple options I can eat.
They don't give you exact change.
Got the bbq chicken. Good portion sizes but for dark meat to be dry tho? Like how much did it get overcooked to get it that bad. Kinda annoyed at that.
Great little spot for good food!
Inside is a little dated but clean, located in a small strip mall.
If it wasn't weird; I would've drank the peanut sauce cuz it was THAT GOOD!! Instead, I just dunked my delicious chicken sa te in it. Chicken was moist and flavorful, egg fried rice was savory and seasoned well.
Had to try my son's bbq pork over noodles and it took me back to my aunty's cooking in HI 🥰 generous slices of char siu pork, finished in broth, over noodles and veggies.
Pork egg rolls were a 7 out of 10. The filling was just ground pork and a few strands of glass noodles, I assumed there were veggies, also, in them, but it was ok.
So many other dishes we want to try, so we will be back!
Our waitress acted like a robot, no greeting. The Short, long, black, haired chubby gal. We got our food before the appetizers. The taller thinner Waitress was better. She did greet us, when she gave us our to go boxes, and didn't act like a robot. The spring rolls were not good. They were all vegetable. We werent given a choice. We have had better food and service at Pomerains.
This is probably my 10th time in the past 2 years since my friend took me to this place. It might be small in size but the food does pack a punch. I lean towards getting their famous Thai bbq chicken meal and it never disappoints. If you come for lunch time their menu is less expensive and you still get a good portion. I recommend this place to anyone. Say hello to Jenny, the server with glasses, for me. She is super nice.
SO delicious! I love to try out small local restaurants instead of big chains when I get to go on vacation and this was the most incredible hidden gem. We actually drove in random directions until this place caught our attention.
Oh. My. Gosh. It's so delicious and I'm obsessed. I have it saved on two different lists so I'll be able to find it again. I plan on coming back to this special restaurant every time I come back to Vegas for the rest of forever. So good.
One of the best meals I have on many years food was great 👍 owners there are so friendly, very friendly
Great food.
I’ve been to several
I’m Ca. This one in Vegas is every bit as good.
This is one of those "hole in a wall" places I feel guilty for revealing into a review, but it is worth sharing with everyone as an excellent Thai restaurant in the area. The green curry has been on my mind since I left days ago and the 'drunken crab' crab cake esque things were so good. This white guy def had to ask for the curry to be less spicy but it was certainly all so good. We ordered as much as we could and ate everything happily. Can't wait to be back!
We love this restaurant, and my family and I have been coming here for years. All the food is always fresh and delicious. Dearest Crab is my favorite meal, and the tom yum soup is very tasty. The staff is attentive and compliments to the chef. Recommend 100%
Thai BBQ has great food. Definately an older building. Staff are great and food was ready fast
Greeted by friendly staff. We were seated right away since we had a reservation for 9 people. It was my first time here but my sister and her husband had been here before. I took their recommendation and had the special bbq ribs with shrimp fried rice. The portion was huge. The ribs came with a very sweet red sauce but it didn't need it in my opinion. I also had the thai sweet tea which again was a touch on the sweet side but good refreshing nonetheless. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and charred nicely. The flavoring was nice and the rice was excellent with the plump and Juicy shrimp. My wife had the bbq chicken which seemed like a huge half chicken on her plate. She said it was good but the breast meat was overcooked and dry which was also mentioned by another person in the party who had chicken as well. I should add that the venue was spacious and clean. Overall I'd like to go back and perhaps try other items on the menu. It really is the friendly server who made our visit the a pleasant experience. Thank you.
Highly recommended
Update after 4 visits. Excellent dependable food quality (red chicken curry), fast service, clean tables and real dishes and utensils (no plastic). Roomy, clean, pleasant staff, tasty food and as advertised the lunch special was on. Good prices, light music, booths big enough for 6 if sitting tight, plus 8 seater tables. Easy parking 10 feet from door.
One of the best Thai BBQ here in Vegas. Loyal customer since 2004.
Everything looked good according to the photos. Very "hole-in-the-wall" type vibe. We weren't seated in the main eating area - we were in the front by the hosts...atmosphere was not comfortable, dingy. We ordered tom yum and it was too sweet for us. The portions for each dish were not family-style.
And...not worth the price. We've had better.
The food was amazing!! Sraff is superb!!!
Really good
Get it to go and they deliver next door
I like the Tom kha soup
Was pleasantly surprised.
Went on Tuesday night and was empty so thought it would not be good.
We ordered two plates from the house specials.
Bbq chicken and garlic short ribs and Thai tea.
Wow!!!! DELICIOUS!!!!
Will definitely be going back. 😋
Wish I had pictures but we ate too fast lol
Food are excellent and cheap
Looks fantastic and I will be trying it with my dad on Saturday, 10/22! 😋 Yummy! Thai BBQ is the best!
Good food, good service and good portions. Fair pricing.
It's not the original location that I normally visit. I thought they had relocated. My error....the restaurant on Magnolia still exist. The menu pictures for "this" location are deceiving. This location is not part of the group that includes the Los Angeles locations (one being 3rd Street). The food is not the same. Disappointed.
Get bbq ribs or chicken with rice. The best. Just the location isn't very good.
It’s so good
Good lunch special b4 me thinks 3pm fast friendly not too crowded an u get soup with ur choice yellow chicken curry is tha best
the s1 chicken meal with their signature thai bbq sauce is to die for. You cant go to heaven until youve tried it. that sauce is just mind blowing. words cant describe it. also their thai iced tea. its so sad that the the other locations got closed down.
Great food and service
Great service and great eats for a deal!
I tried this place for the first time yesterday. Chicken SA TE was tasty and fried rice was amazing. The staff was super friendly so I left a $15 tip. The cashier literally chased me on the parking lot as I was leaving to ask me if I left $5 or $15 dollar tip. I confirmed it was $15 and she was super thankful. I came back today for dinner again and it was the same satisfying experience, so I decided to leave a review. I'm very surprised reading some of the bad reviews mentioning issues with the tips. Honestly I thought they were very honest asking me to confirm the tip amount when they could've assumed (and they would've been right). I'll definitely come back and recommend it 100%
Very friendly servers. Great tasting Thai food. Second time there!
Awesome spot!! Larb salad was good. Panang curry had great flavor. Satay was amazing! Super tender. Service was attentive and quick… Totally coming back.
Food is good but duck dish duck was old.
Thai ribs and crab dish awesome
Foods was ok
Authentic and the price is very reasonable. This is always our go to place. Don't ever miss their beef satay
Mediocre at best... But the peanut sauce is tasty..steep prices for amount of food..I suggest Thai pan behind McDonald's on Alta and Decatur
Great food!
The Best BBQ Ribs off the Strip and not pricey! Good Eats!
I did pick up order on 3/29/2022
for 2 Thai Tofu Pathai they charge me $23 and the next day I get email notification from my bank they charge me $27 , which is I didn’t add any tip on my receipt with my card that I use to pay for it !
Be careful, this business STEALS and writes in a tip if you don’t add. We will not be coming back ever again.
Be careful if you order take out.
They illegally wrote in a tip when we ordered take out. We always tip in restaurants when we dine in but on take out it's not necessary since we were not served or attended to. We will not be coming back to this place. Thai BBQ lost our business for good.
They are thieves!!
If you want authentic Thai food, try Komol on Sahara and Maryland. They have Honest people and the best food.
...One of the BEST
CHICKEN BBQ in TOWN !
muy rica comida!!
Tasty, delicious bbq.
I stopped by today for lunch. I ordered the chicken wings with sweet chili sauce and the crab fried rice. There was little shells in my crab fried rice. Either egg shells or tiny pieces of the crab shell I'm not sure but there was more than a few bites I had to spit out until I finally gave up and threw it away. It was there regular house fried rice with a scoop of crab on top for 19 dollars ! The flavor was very mediocre. The chicken wings i assumed would be fresh crispy fried wings but instead they were premade frozen wings that they threw in the fryer. It tasted like the freezer. Wings were extremely salty as well. The man at front seemed nice. No issues with customer service. I wont be back though. Put some love in your food please.
Excellent service, great food with great price
Been visiting this place for over 20 years and it's still serving amazing Thai BBQ!
We were there during lunch time and on weekday. Foods were delicious, and service were great and friendly. Recommend crab fry rice, Larb, and Pad Thai. Good atmosphere and clean. The only thing that is negative is the parking lot; it is a little small and need bigger....
Excellent food and service, will definitely be back
Great dishes!
THEIR food is delicious I love their tai tea as well
Delicious Thai food at reasonable prices. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
A lot of great food for the price.
The food was amazing! Short wait and extremely reasonable prices. Plates are pretty big too. Staff was super kind and attentive. Solid 10/10 😌🤌
Food was amazing. First time I've ever had Thai food.
Long black hair in my food. Disgusting and unsanitary. Had to throw the entire order away.
I work nearby and noticed most of the Asian cuisine spots here aren’t too great. I saw the reviews were good for this one so I decided to give it a try. The upside was when I ordered they told me 15 mins. It was probably 10. So I was happy about that since I have a short break. I paid over $16 for a combo pad thai which I wasn’t bothered by until I got to work and realized how little the portion was. It was wrapped in foil in the to go box and most of the portion was aluminum foil. But it smelled great, so I was still excited. It did lack flavor so I doused it in chili sauce they provided. Paying extra for extra meat (combo pad Thai) didn’t give what I thought it promised. I had two pieces of small shrimp and maybe 3 small slices of of beef. I was a bit disappointed since it smelled much better than it tasted. For $16 plus tax I was hoping for a filling meal. The service however was decent. No one was rude but also I wasn’t greeted nicely either. I wouldn’t come back but maybe it was just an off day for them?!
Always greet food and customer service! I go here often and they never disappoint!
First time trying this place and the food was great! Will order again.
Thai Original BBQ Restaurant is an amazing restaurant with unbelievable delicious food. Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for years. Recently me and my wife held our daughters 16th birthday dinner and they provided excellent service to all of our guests. They even gave a complimentary dessert to the birthday day girl. She was very happy and satisfied with her Sweet Sixteen Birthday Dinner.
Service took them more than 25minutes to serve.
The food here is sooow good must try
Been eating Thai BBQ since the mid 90's!
Over priced and lacking flavor
Fast friendly service and the food is amazing!!! Also relatively cheap for a restaurant! I love this place and will continue to come here when I visit Las Vegas!!
Have to wait 25 minutes for pick up my order even was placed 30 minutes before
Thai BBQ was an awesome experience, my wife and I visited for the 1st time. It was very clean and the wait staff is very professional. I will come here again
Fantastic Pad see ew!
Best Thai food in Las Vegas. I would come here and eat 3 times a week. Not only all their dishes on the menu are amazing, delicious and the server Jennie is the best period.
