Lotus of Siam offers Northern Thai cuisine from James Beard Award winning chef Saipin Chutima. Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.
Came here with my family after reviewing the ratings of the restaurant. Definitely impressed!
Our favorite was the garlic crispy prawns. The shells tasted amazing! We'd also recommend a soft shell crab also.
Great service and atmosphere. We were here on a Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m., and there was a bit of a wait at that time and to wake up longer as the night went on. So consider a reservation before heading out!
Lotus of Siam – A Must-Try in Las Vegas!
Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas is an absolute gem! The food is incredible, with authentic Thai flavors that truly stand out. From their signature Northern Thai dishes to the perfectly balanced curries, every bite is packed with flavor.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. They have a great selection of cocktails and beer, which pair perfectly with the spice levels of the dishes.
One important tip—make a reservation in advance! This place is always packed, and for a good reason. If you’re a fan of Thai food, this is a must-visit spot in Vegas!
Came here based on all the great reviews, and I’m glad I did!
We ordered two dishes:
- Veggie Larb Salad (Tofu): Very well made and refreshing.
- Panang Curry: Also well made, but could use a bit more spice and flavor. It arrived lukewarm.
Loved the variety of vegetarian and vegan options—so many new dishes to try! Wish I had more time to come back and explore more of the menu.
The service was excellent! Our server was sweet and gave great recommendations.
It’s a busy spot, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Otherwise, expect about a 15-minute wait.
Would definitely return!
Typically, my experience at Lotus of Siam is excellent. However, it isn't uncommon to be seated after your reservation time. I arrived at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm reservation. We were seated at 7:53pm. We were one of two tables in the back room when we sat down and four tables came in after. We ordered our appetizers around 8pm. While we got our appetizers, our server didn't come back to our table for our order until 8:28pm. Not once did she stop by our table, while stopping at others around ours. The runner had to help get her for us since she we couldn't get her attention despite multiple attempts. I was more upset when I tried to address the issue, yet she cut me off to ask what I wanted to order. Both her and her mananger seemed to make excuses for the big party versus apologizing sincerely. They eventually offered us a drink and small discount, but still yet, I felt like more sincerity in the apology would have been more valuable. Additionally, I think because of how busy they were, the quality of the food was not up to the usual standard with the drunken noodles a little bland and watery and the garlic prawns a bit oily. It's great to be popular and busy, but not when it leads to a diminished quality in food and service. I don't often write negative reviews, but I do so fairly when it is warranted, which I will include in my article reviewing the restaurant. I hope that in the future, there is an improvement, as I was sad to see one of my favorite places leave me so disappointed.
This is a great restaurant. Very trendy and busy. They have managed to keep the decor traditional yet the ambiance is modern. Great to see a Thai restaurant in IS with a fully stocked bar and Asian fusion drinks. The food is amazing and very authentic in flavor. Tom yam soup is served similar to how you would see it in Thailand. The waiters were very attentive and catered to everyone’s need. I would highly recommend this place
Okay, so this place is as great as it's ever been. The prices for some items are a bit over the top, but there are some more reasonable options that are absolutely delightful as well.
I ordered the King Crab Curry this time around, as it was one of the specials and we were here for a special occasion. I figured it would be a curry with King Crab chunks in it, but jokes on me, it was like 1.5lbs of actual legs, just with some curry flavoring. Literally the best dish I've ever had here though (price reflected that as well, $120+).
We also had the Garlic Prawns, which are HUGE.. be careful though, they come with the shell fried and attached as well and I accidentally ate one when I wasn't paying attention and it messed up the roof of my mouth pretty good, oops.
Our server was really great, as was the guy at the front who got our party all situated and settled in. Thank you for a great night!
Beautiful place with phenomenal food located just outside downtown Vegas. We went based on a suggestion from a friend who lived there, and to say the least we weren't disappointed. We each ordered a different dinner and appetizer and shared with one another. My choices being sea bass on a bed of Thai fried rice for dinner and bacon wrapped shrimp, fried in a wanton for an appetizer. My food was absolutely delicious and was washed down perfectly with a well made margarita.
Lotus of Siam has really good food at reasonable prices, but the service was disappointing. It’s a big restaurant, yet they seemed to only have one server working. We were a group of seven and saw plenty of empty tables, but still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, even though we called ahead. Once seated, we had to wait another 15 minutes just to place our order. Thankfully, the food came out quickly (about 10 minutes), and it was delicious, but the overall experience was frustrating. Great food, but the service needs serious improvement.
Food was good. Our booth was in need of major repair - the leather seat cushion was ripped to shreds and I’m surprised mgmt has not fixed it. Certainly in need of repair for >months. Uncomfortable to sit on.
We were there several years ago, so we are glad to see it is still open. The sea bass, shrimp fried rice, spring rolls and the sticky rice were exceptional! Nice to be in a place with an award winning master chef!
If Lotus of Siam is supposed to be the best Thai food in Las Vegas, then the bar has been set very low. Tonight, my husband and I decided to check it out—and boy, was it disappointing. We ordered the som thum (Laos style), drunken noodles (which had a $11 surcharge for beef *eye roll*), green curry, moo yang, and fresh chili fried rice—all of which were poor tasting, with small portions and high prices. Additionally, service was extremely poor and slow—almost taking 40 minutes for our food to arrive . The owners/management also sat 1 table away from us and were eating a meal and openly talking about other customers’ issues, which was very unprofessional. We will not be returning!
Great food. Must visit when in town if you like Thai. Service was okay, not bad but okay. I expected better Being a higher end restaurant.
The food and service is always incredible here. I am taking off one star because their prices are out of hand. $31 for a plate of panang curry with no rice and $31 for a plate of beef pad Thai is ridiculous. I took off another star as the portion was ridiculously small. I thought I'd feel like a glutton ordering two plates to myself but damn, where was all the food? My wife would've killed me if I didn't bring her home food from what was our favorite thai place so I didn't even get to eat my fill on an almost $80 bill. Very sad day, I had been coming here from out of state for decades back when it was just a tiny truck stop off strip. Oh well, guess Ive been priced out! lol
Came here based on all the great reviews, and I’m glad I did!

Wow. So good. Worth it. Every trip to Vegas includes this place.
We ate here in November of 2024. The food was delicious and was delivered in a timely manner. However, the server chose to ask us if we wanted several different items that were an upcharge, without making us aware of them.
This restaurant was supposed to be the best Thai and was recommended by a world traveler. However after this experience, we felt taken advantage of and most likely will not return.
We continue to return to one of the best Thai places we have ever visited. The Penny Civiche might be our favorite thing in Vegas this trip! It was beautiful, can't believe I didn't take a picture. My wife and I shared it as an appetizer.
Service was great. Drinks were good and the bartender was amazing. But the flavor of the food was lacking. The Tom Kha soup was too acidic and bland. The Khao Soi and the Drunken noodles were far too sweet and were missing any aromatic spices. Only dish that was worth ordering was the Garlic Prawns. Overall the flavors felt toned down to cater to a more general palette. Would not recommend going there if you're expecting flavorful Thai food. Also way too expensive for the experience.
I almost cancelled our reservation after reading some of the reviews about quality falling off after the move to Flamingo. I'm so glad that I didn't--the food and service were both spectacular, and lived up to the hype of "the best Thai food anywhere", at least in mid-early Feb 2025.
I do not understand how they gained average four stars. Their food is so little with average price, and the food is not even tasty. More, their pad see ew is worst pad see ew ever in Las Vegas. I asked spicy level 'eight' for all food, but none of them are spicy.
Went for a work dinner where there was a set menu and everything we had was really yummy. The only critique I have is that I ate everything with a fork instead of chopsticks 😂 I saw some people requested chopsticks but they were the disposable kind.
Anthony Bourdain byłby z Was dumny!
Utrzymujecie wysoki poziom przygotowania potraw! 🤩
Jeśli ponownie zawitamy do Las Vegas to napewno tu wrócimy!
Polecam serdecznie😊
Ta miejscówka to wg mnie must have w LV 🤩
Think twice before going here. Over rated. You will regret it. Use to be good but using Anthony’s picture to attract customers. New owners.
A1 food here you get your money's worth
Food was good. But service, in terms of, food service sequence and time to serve the food was just off!!
The soup was served after they had already served 2 courses!!
And then the food was served in a staggered manner with no real sequence at all. Red curry was served and rice came "late"!
And it was not as if the restaurant was "packed to the brim".
Extremely overrated and not even worth a try. The food is not even good…
Good food. A little pricey. Good for gluten free
Amazing food and outstanding service!! We had the red curry and crispy duck. Highly recommend!!
We came here with a group of friends for the first time. The menu is pretty big so it took a while to choose. Ordered a soup Tom Kha Gai with chicken and shrimp but the server misunderstood and it came out without coconut. Had to wait to be remade.
The other dishes were tasty but I’ve had better. (Used to live in Bangkok) What we didn’t like was that the servers were prebussing the tables while we were still eating and took plates away too fast.

Staff is not friendly at all. Server Kenny was not attentive, didn't ask about our meal satisfaction nor didn't say "thank you" after I paid the bill...which had a 20% gratuity the restaurant added on. Food was bland. Atmosphere was just OK. Would definitely not recommend. Many other fine dining options in Las Vegas. Save yourself the trip & disappoint here.
I was super excited to go here for dinner during my bachelorette weekend. My family has run Thai restaurants for a long time in Illinois, I’m obsessed with Thai food and cooking, I’ve seen all of the TV specials about this restaurant, etc etc.
We booked a party of 12 weeks in advance and they said over the phone that they couldn’t guarantee that our table wouldn’t be split into 2, which was fine. When we got there, we were indeed split into 2 separate tables far away from each other. Interestingly, both of our tables had other empty 6-top tables next to them. When I asked if we could move to the open tables I was told no, but when I asked why, the waiter was flustered and unable to explain. He said he didn’t know. I understand that we were not guaranteed being seated together, but it seemed like we didn’t need to be seated on opposite ends of the room. I wish they would’ve just been knowledgeable or thoughtful about why this wasn’t possible, rather than just saying they didn’t know. It was strange.
We put a drink order in and that came pretty quickly. We also put in a food order and I emphasized that everyone at the table liked their food very spicy (we actually split the 2 tables by this preference) so to go to the top end of the heat scale for almost every dish.
About 20-30 minutes after placing the food order, the waiter came back and said they were having a problem with some of the items we ordered and so he wanted to check to make sure it was right? He had me go through the entire order again. At this point we had been seated with no food for almost an hour. It was pretty clear to me that the first order was lost or never sent to the kitchen.
The food came out soon after the second order was placed. Everyone agreed that the food was pretty mid…. the mee krob was super sweet, the green curry bland, the basil chicken lacking basil. We did enjoy the larb, tom yum, and khao soi more, but still just average Thai restaurant food in America. We also ordered the garlic prawns but they never came, probably because I forgot to repeat it when they took the order a second time without just admitting the order was lost.
Everyone at the table also agreed the food wasn’t spicy. I guess they lost the spicy part of the order too?
We had to rush through our meal once the food came because by that time we were running late for a show. Our other table was done with their food by the time ours came.
They did comp our non-alcoholic drinks. I didn’t love the 20% included gratuity on the bill… when the service was so bad that it ruined the experience, that’s a choice that I’d prefer to make on my own.
It was such a bummer experience and I wouldn’t return or recommend. I understand having some fumbles, but they were not apologetic or truthful about what was happening, so it left me with a negative impression.
Wonderful meal. Located in a strip mall but beautiful interior. Food was good...wontons,egg rolls, padtai with prawns, yellow curry with chicken. All delicious. Good portion sizes. Would visit again!
Best food in town. Order anything and everything off the menu. You will NOT be disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the flavors are delectable. Drinks are great and the service is A+++
Reservations are a MUST!
Even if you make reservations, expect a wait time up to 45 minutes, especially during shot show which is in the middle of January.
Poor service. Don’t go for an anniversary, not romantic at all. It’s super noisy and you keep hearing the hostesses yelling out obnoxiously to seat parties. Feels like a cafeteria Spare Ribs are straight fat and gristle. Don’t order. Pad Thai was just ok. Can’t speak to the Satay since we asked for it three times and it never arrived. But good news-they will take it off the bill. I would go to any other Thai restaurants in town. There are many to choose from: Weera or Lamaii are favorites to name a few.
Good food.
Used to love coming here, but the food just isn't very good anymore. My husband is Thai, and we would rave about this place. I think they might have changed some of the recipes because it's just sad now, and definitely not worth the prices being charged now.
BELIEVE THE HYPE. We were able to book a reservation for lunch during our last day in Vegas. We ordered the Pad Se Ew with beef short rib, 'Thai Salad w/ peanut Sauce', Tom Kha soup, Pineapple fried rice. I ordered the mocktail, 'Royal Ricky' which was Lychee syrup, Butterfly pea, Honey, Lemon, Fever Tree Ginger Ale, and Club soda. It was SOOOO good! The Thai Salad with peanut Sauce was very much vegetables used for garnishing dishes. Crisp cucumbers, expertly carves carrots, crunchy lettuce. the kicker was the full bowl of perfect savory and sweet peanut sauce. We ordered everything zero spice and were only warned that the curry in the pineapple fried rice might be a touch of spice but we thought it was fine. the Tom Kha soup was AMAZING. I found out the main difference between the Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup is the use of coconut milk in the Tom Kha. Otherwise both soups have the rich lemony flavor. I could not get the ladle to spoon all the soup out and secretly wished I could drink from the oddly shaped soup carafe to the last drop. The restaurant was big and the staff was so courteous and the meal itself was amazing. I def recommend that you make sure to stop by when you're in Vegas.
My family and I were here about 4 years ago and I still to this day think about this restaurant. The food here is exquisite, and the service was great. I think the ratings should be higher. I need to go back again and eat here. Also get a reservation in advance to be able to get a seat. This place gets packed. I recommend to try it at least once.
In my opinion, this place has gone downhill in terms of Thai taste. We were here a few years back, and the food was delicious and tasted like Thai dishes. We came back in 2025, and we feel that the dishes seemed revamped to catered towards the western taste. The papaya salad was bland (one of the worst I had anywhere in the US in recent memories); absolutely no authentic taste of fish sauce or spices. The fish (Sea Bass) was just sweet and tasted more of a resemblance of Korean or Japanese dishes. I don't think this place upholds the Thai taste anymore; to me, it's more of an "Asian Fusion." It's too bad, this used to be a great Thai restaurant. The service was excellent BTW and the staff were friendly and attentive. Also, don't try to walk here if you're staying on the strip; there are a lot of sketchy folks walking around the area.
If there is one place I recommend to my friends when they come to Vegas, it is Lotus of Siam.
I have 3 things I love here. The crispy prawns, the crispy duck and the Kao Soi.
My last trip in December , I was a bit underwhelmed by the servings I had.
The duck was not as crispy and tasty a lot dryer than I recall.
The prawn was just as great as I remembered it to be.
One thing that did surprise me was I had all but 2 items of dishes but my bill was close $90+. Maybe it is just me, but I don’t recall it to be as expensive as this before.
I mean, I don’t know what I expected for Vegas, but it was surprisingly busy very late at night. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and had the noodle dish that was kind of soupy. I don’t recall the name, but it was the best thing I’ve ever had. This is very good authentic Thai food that’s not the typical overplayed Pad Thai noodles.
Look at the locations of the Yelpers when considering the reviews.
Most people from my area gave this place two or three stars, which is appropriate. My sister tried them years ago at the original Sahara location and she said it wasn't worth the wait or the cost.
People go gaga over Lotus of Siam because it's the one decent Thai place in Vegas but I'm from Southern California. We literally have a "Thai Town" in Hollywood and it's full of really good Thai restaurants. We also have stalls at the Thai temples that sell authentic street food. So Lotus of Siam would be mid-level in Los Angeles.
We came in when the restaurant was fairly empty. We were asked if we had a reservation-- we did not-- so our table of five was seated fairly quickly. Our server was nice.
I didn't like the dishes came out really staggered. The timeline, since I took photos everything was timestamped:
-4:35 Ordered food
-4:52 First two dishes came out
-5:09 Two more dishes came out
-5:15 Last dish came out
It took 40 minutes from when we placed our order to get the last dish. It was 23 minutes between the first and last dishes. I was the last one to get my food. More than half the table was done eating by the time mine came out.
It creates an awkward dining situation when some people's dishes are brought out and the others still don't have their food for a long time afterward. The ones with food shouldn't have to wait to eat because their meal will get cold but they don't want to be rude and start eating. It was a poor process.
The Beef Noodle Soup was a little too sour and salty. Our Pineapple Fried Rice had a smoky, burnt flavor to it. The portion was a little smaller and more expensive than we're used to and one of the worst I've ever had.
Even the white rice was dry. To clarify, this is not like Korean clay pot rice where it's purposely scorched that get that delicious crisp at the end. This was like rice that sat in the rice cooker for too long, so the whole top layer was dried out and we tried to avoid eating that part of it.
I asked the server if that was on purpose and she stumbled in her response that yes, it was supposed to be "a little dry." So I asked her to replace it with another because that's not how we eat rice.
The saving grace was the duck curry. I got it because it's all the rage. I chose the Panang Curry. My husband got the same dish but with noodles, so the Khao Soi. However, it cost another $23 to add the duck, so his was almost $50, which was bananas.
It was excellent. I love duck, my husband does not. In fact, he will never even touch duck because of all the bones. I hate the process of eating it because it does take a lot of work. But Lotus of Siam took care of all that, so it was easy to eat. If the rest of the food and experience was like the duck curry, I would've given Lotus of Siam five stars.
Taste 10 on one of the dishes I ordered. 😋
Portion 4 not enough
Price 4 if larger portion, price would compensate.
First time back to Lotus of Siam since Covid, and our first time to the Flamingo location. Garlic Prawns are still amazing! We got our usual order, Garlic Prawns, Chicken Larb, Tofu Pad Thai, Sticky Rice and Crispy Duck Penang Curry but we also tried the Garlic Pork Ribs. So happy we did! We almost wanted to order another one! Definitely adding them to our regular order! We were just sad that there was no Mango Sticky Rice for dessert.
The food is pretty awesome here, would say it's some of the best Thai food I've ever had in the US. The portions are GIGANTIC in true Vegas style. Service is good, but the environment is mostly functional.
Between the service the selection the welcoming ambiance and staff and the food. Highly recommend anyone visiting Vegas to come here. Really was top Thai restaurant I've been too here. We started with goong cha nam pla (raw shrimp) (picture below) with spice level fire 40 (not for the faint of heart), but was phenomenal with the tamarind sauce to combine flavors with it. Then got the Som Tum Appetizer with again (Spice Level Fire 40) then I got the Pad Woon Sen (glass noodles) w prawns (but was full so didn't even eat), my friend got their most popular dish the Khao Sao with beef.
With the high spice intake we switched up for Thai iced tea and Upside down pineapple cake which was so good too. Everything here 10/10. Will definitely be back.
VERY good Thai food! Service was excellent! If you enjoy Thai food, you should NOT pass up a meal here!
Great green curry and amazing garlic prawns
Kein Platz um lange zu verweilen. Hier geht alles sehr schnell.
This place is not as good as it use to be and the prices have risen significantly. I would recommend Mama Pam's in Henderson for the best Thai in the valley!!
Best Thai food I have had for a long time. Amazingly diverse menu. Couldn't believe how fast the service was even when so crowded.
This is a good spot for Thai food near the Strip. We tried the Tom Kha hot pot, pad thai, drunken noodles, and Thai fried rice. All the dishes were flavorful, except the drunken noodles, which was a bit too garlicky for our taste. We also tried the chicken wontons and were disappointed because there wasn't much chicken in the filling, so I wouldn’t recommend that dish. The Thai tea was also quite good.
What happened to this place ? Not the experience I remember from back in the days of their old hole in the wall location.
I ordered pad thai w/tofu, cashew nut chicken, and Tom yum soup veggies. Everything was disgusting. The pad thai had no flavor and the noodle strands were stuck like a block. The cashew nut chicken sauce had a weird aftertaste. The Tom yum soup was bland and at a number 5 level spice was completely spicy we couldn’t finish it. Normally, Thai restaurants will use fresh Thai chili to spice it up , however this place uses chili powder in their soups.
Another major fail was they DID NOT have siracha .
Not sure who they think they are, but we would never return. 3 inedible items with two drinks came to $96?
My original review of this restaurant was 5 stars but that was 2 years ago and apparently a LOT has changed. I can no longer recommend it. The curry still has some nice flavor but as other reviewers said, they seem watered down. The dish that we had raved about previously (the crispy duck) was no longer crispy even though it was over done. It tasted as if it had been cooked earlier in the day and been reheated for us. We were so very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back. The service was fine, but not great. It seems more like a very expensive fast food restaurant now. So sad… (pics are not current, they are from our first experience here).
Just wow.. excellent.
Decent food just over price thai food .
The location is in a somewhat sketchy area of town. The restaurant is quite popular as there was a line down the side of the building well before their doors opened. The service was slow, from start to finish. The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were inconsistent from one entree to another. As well, they had literally just opened up for the day and were already out of certain dishes.
This place nickel and dimes you for rice when most other Asian food establishments compliment their dishes with rice verses making you pay extra for it. The restaurant is cramped which is surprising given how large of a footprint the restaurant sits in.
It was worth a try, but I won’t go out of my way to come back again.
Consistently phenomenal food!
Been our favorite for several years! Our family recommended this and it's been a favorite, also our most recommended restaurant in Vegas!!
Reservations are highly recommended!
The Tom Kha soup is the absolute bomb!! It's been a month since our last visit and we're still talking about the perfection of this soup!! YUMMY 😋
We also enjoyed the som thum, chicken larb, crispy soft shell crab and the day's special: whole red snapper. The snapper was large enough for 5 adults to share.
The lychee blossom drink was great too!!
I read that the restaurant has been through a lot over the years and it is wonderful to watch this business overcome, evolve & flourish through the hardships and we truly appreciate the consistent brilliance of taste & quality of food served!
On the day of our visit early Dec'24 though, there was a cleanliness issue with a plate set on our table. The servers were quick to bring us a clean plate. We're slightly disappointed as this is definitely not expected from a restaurant we hold to such high standards. Hope they work on whatever caused this lapse!!
Despite this, more than a month after our Vegas trip, Lotus of Siam remains to be our most memorable dining experience!!!
I’m Thai and have heard of this place for years. I had dinner here with my family. It was packed , we waited 45 min for a table , I was excited . Being Thai , I don’t like putting a Thai restaurant down , but I was very disappointed, especially for the high prices of each dish . Every dish was not good .Also the appetizers came out after the main courses . We ordered the fried prawn dish which is one of they’re signature dishes , my only problem with the dish was it came out maybe room temperature. For sure it was made maybe 30 minutes before, and it made sense now because our waiter pushed it on us . It definitely was a mistake, that they ended selling it to us .
The drunken noodles came out watery, and while being watery it takes away from the flavor, diluting it down and they served it with some mixed greens , that definitely doesn’t go with the dish . The pork jerky ( moo dad ) was pathetic, the pieces of pork were flimsy and were sliced thin instead of being bigger strips , it felt like it was yesterday’s family meal scrap leftovers that they pulled out the fridge and threw it into the deep fryer, and the dipping sauce was even worse no flavor whatsoever. Another dish was the roasted duck curry, the curry was a bit tasty , it also came out a few degrees hotter than room temperature, but not hot enough. My biggest problem with that dish was the scrap pieces of the duck , really flimsy and the duck did not taste fresh , it tasted old . My daughter wanted pad Thai and it was just ok nothing special. I was very disappointed with the meal , I believe the restaurant was once very good , but since all they’re success and accolades they are definitely resting on they’re laurels . I also don’t think there’s anyone checking the quality of the food anymore , I didn’t go in the kitchen but I don’t think Thai people are In kitchen anymore, and if they are the magic has been lost . I’m torn leaving a bad review, but I was so dissatisfied , they left me no choice .
Buena comida, la atención del personal es buena, no hablamos mucho en inglés por lo que se dificulta algo al ordenar, pero Joshua nos ayudó, muy servicial.
I love this place. Every time we stop in Vegas we come here to eat.
Food is great here
Wow! Food was great but everything else just wow. I have no words. So we had 2 separate reservations but we moved our tables with another family so they charged us a convenience fee of 20%!!! Even after I explained that we had 2 reservations and separate checks smh. Then as you can see in the picture the bill was $146.36 to which they then charged me $152.77!!! What?! And when I brought it up to them they couldn’t give an answer as to why???? Scammers!!! There are better places to eat in Vegas and not be scammed!! And then the service was nonexistent!! We had to ask multiple times for refills on our drinks. Not once did they come ask us. Horrible experience!! Not worth the decent food to go through all that. I do it recommend and if this review reaches even one family and prevents them from having a similar experience then it’s worth the time it took to write this. Again there are plenty of other places with decent food in Vegas. Go somewhere else!!
Delicioso
Great Thai food. The burst of flavors in your mouth is the evidence of this amazing THAI delicacy!! Hearty Meal for us when we entered Vegas to have a head start for our vacation!! MUST VISIT restaurant!!! It happened to be our christmas eve dinner :) and truned out so GOOD!!!
Very small portion size, below average and over priced Thai food.
was very busy when we came to do our pickup order, definitely worth ordering ahead or making a reservation. food was good but nothing wow
Kha noom jean salty
Garlic prawn were good crunch but a bit salty
Pad see ew was good
Tom kha was majorly sour
Food service is very slow! Billing is too much! The rule of charging when there are many customers is very strange and unreasonable!
Overhyped average Thai food. I am from Dallas, and almost every Thai restaurant there serves more flavorful food than this place. We ordered three entrées: Panang curry, drunken noodles, and chili fried rice, and all three lacked flavor.
Excellent Thai food not far from the strip. I had the Pad Kee Mow with Crispy Duck and it was absolutely excellent. Got a Lychee cocktail to go with the dish that paired well and was well balanced. Overall would recommend but would recommend either coming for lunch (as we did) or get early reservations for dinner.
tiny portions for on-strip prices. Taste was good but we left hungry. food came slow, restaurant was busy.
Need better waiter asap
The Garlic Prawns changed my life
Dinners average about $22 a plate- the food is amazing. Be prepared to splurge on drinks and appetizers. You will not be disappointed - food and service is worth what you pay for it.
I got married and made reservations to enjoy a restaurant revered by Bourdain and Gold, two personal heroes of mine. It was a surprise for my wife. I told her to get ready for the best thai food of her life.
We arrived to the restaurant at 9:45pm and was informed that the kitchen CLOSED EARLY. WHAT?
They ruined my wedding day because of lazy management decisions and a lack of professionalism by the BOH staff. The James Beard-award winning days are long gone. Definitely not up to the hype.
Upon leaving the restaurant we had to navigate a dirty parking lot riddled with junkies.
Get your shit together, Lotus of Siam, you're slipping on several fronts.
Such amazing and authentic Thai food. Perfect for just before a show, especially the Sphere. The food came out super quickly. Drinks are delicious too. ,
Highly recommend the chicken lollipop and garlic prawns! The thai coffee was also very unique
Remember when this place used to be good?
Favorite Vietnamese restaurant of all time
Very well done and reasonably priced for Vegas
I visited this restaurant with a friend. The food (phad Thai with shrimp) was overly sweet and shrimp had no flavor. The waiter seemed tired and annoyed. Not sure if he had a bad day. Hostess all were bubbly.
Delicious Thai food. Way overpriced but worth visit.
Delicious food, but a lots of people, you must wait a more time.
This place is a must if you enjoy Thai food. Every dish in our meal was excellent this past week. We were also seated quickly on a busy night.
Very small portion size and disappointing Customer Service. Also food is very expensive, but the quality is good.
Great food! The khao soi was extremely delicious. However service was just poor. They kept us waiting forever. They made us wait for almost 30 mins just to give us the menu and water. Another 45 mins to serve food. Make sure you have plenty of time before choosing to dine in.
Overall mediocre quality of food with small portions and very overpriced. Busloads ,yes busloads of tourists coming in.
Not a popular local spot Atmosphere just barely ok but it is not a Thai atmosphere.
Give it a miss.
If you want Thai food go to one of the many Thai restaurants in town that serve locals. You'll get better more authentic dishes with larger portions and much lower prices.
Extremely disappointing
Great food! Garlic prawns and tom kah soup!
Gets packed early, reserve if you're coming with more than 2 people.
Best Thai around, no debate.
They served soup and starter and main course all together.
Flavours of thai food was flat.
None of the waitress or waiter smile at all during our dinner. They were almost considered quite rude. We were also rushed and pressurized to leave after paying although our 2 hours slot is far from over (30mins left). No matter how good the food is, I will definitely not recommend this restaurant for those looking for good service.
The duck was out of this world amazing. The other food was good but I felt pressured by the wait staff to spend more money. Every time they brought out my food or drink, they were judgmental and pushy about ordering more. I hate to write a negative review, but the vibe was just so off. Don't go here on a budget with a small party because they will talk down to you. (For context we spent $150 on 4 dishes and 1 drink). Also, don't order the drunken noodles.

We heard about the place and wanted to try it out. It took about 30 minutes for us to get a table, which was not an issue, the server and bus boy were helpful and kind. To be honest, I’m not sure what the hype was but the food was really over priced and it’s not even good. We had 3 adults and 2 children (9 and 8). Our bill came out to be roughly around $400 (including tips). The price isn’t really an issue if the food was good but it wasn’t, which was the problem. The fried fish was just deep fried, no seasoning as we only wanted for it to be crispy however the sauce i that came with it wasn’t good at all. The moo yang that we ordered was over cooked, dry snd chewy. We ordered a beef dish, soft shell crab appetizer, garlic shrimp, some mushroom dip vegetarian food. The only dish that was decent was the spider roll. For $400, we could’ve went to Buchannal Palace for seafood buffet. Food was bland. Won’t waste your time.
November 2024.
We highly NOT recommend the Chilean Seabass (Tomyum soup). It's expensive with that $42 price although using seabass, not taste really tomyum style. Plus, the soup smells a bit off when it less warm.
Every dishes would be recommended sale up price with seafood or shimp.
We have come with 4 adults & 1 kid but counted 6 to make SVC 20%. This is so upset.
Time serving : 20-30mins till first dish. It gonna make you hungry
However, the other dishes are good (although expensive).
Different location, different cooks, different tasting Thai food, if you want to call it Thai food... Not impressed with the quality of dishes served. They need to pay more attention to the training of their cooks and how Thai food should be cooked...
Really good food. Make a reservation even for lunch or sit in the bar to avoid a wait.
和以前的味道不一樣了。懷念以前的好味道。
This place is highly rated and received a James Beard Award so I have higher expectations compared to other Thai places. The food was fair, but the dishes were not very memorable except the Crispy Duck Penang, which was crispy and delicious. I can see myself going back for it.
The other dishes (papaya salad, drunken noodle and kha nom jean nam ngyow) were decent but I probably would stick to the recommended dishes in the “Mom’s Highlights” section
Staff were super friendly though, really good service
Average at best! Not really sure what was all the hype about this place. I was really excited to try this restaurant due to all the great reviews and articles about this place, but hugely disappointed. I ordered 3 dishes, Khao Soi was extremely sweet and almost inedible. I asked the server, and she said it is tend to me more sweet. Mind you, i had Khao Soi multiple times before and none taste extremely sweet like this. The Tom Yum soup is not bad. Another dishes i ordered - forgot the name, tastes really bad. It was some meat in coconut milk with Jack Fruit. When it's arrived, it looks watery and has no coconut milk. And the taste was horrible- bitter and salty. On top of that, there was a piece of hair on it. I had to sent it back. And ordered the most common dish as an exchange- pad kra pao. Hugely disappointed with my experienced there. Feel like this restaurant only served food cater for tourist. No more authentic local taste. Probably one of those restaurant that past it's prime.
The service was slow, and the food was not worth the wait
If I could give zero stars I would. The service was absolutely rude. The host made disgusting comments toward my family and this was my first time ever at this restaurant. Such a horrible experience
Love Thai food? You must eat here! The food here is exceptional. I highly recommend the chicken satay. The marinade on the chicken is delicious, but most importantly the chicken is plump and juicy. And the peanut sauce should be sold in a bottle because I would like a case of it. we also shared the Thai salad with peanut sauce for the table. Again, that peanut sauce is perfection.
The only disappointment I had in the Mee Krob dish was that I had to share it with my family. I should’ve ordered one for myself because it was so delicious. I had the chicken pad Thai and the sauce was so flavorful. It was one of the best pies I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of pad Thai in my time. We also had the yellow curry, which was exceptional.
I highly recommend exploring their cocktail menu, especially the lychee cocktail. Be sure to make a reservation before you go because it’s a pretty popular place. We met a reservation and were seated promptly.
There’s a reason Lotus of Siam is a past James Beard award winner. The food and service were amazing. Some of not only the best Thai food that I’ve had, but the best food ever. You will not be disappointed.
Easily one of the best Thai restaurants around, certainly the best in Vegas. They were extremely busy, but even then our service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was outstanding. There is quite a variety and truly top notch.
Prices higher, portions smaller.
Crispy duck khao soi was a highlight. I've had a lot of duck in my lifetime, this was among the best.
Obviously the garlic shrimp was fantastic.
My only quibble is that I requested a 7 spice level on my larb and it honestly wasn't spicy at all. Maybe I have to ask them to give me the real spice level next time.
Their garlic prawns are out of this world crunchy. It's buttery and garlicky. Chef's kiss. We also got their pineapple fried rice, khao soi, crispy duck and a side of white rice. But besides the prawns, everything was mediocre.
I love it that they elevate Thai cuisine because it deserves to be praised and recognized. But their dishes seem to be more Americanized and though we enjoyed the food, it was nothing to rave about, except their garlic prawns of course.
Service was bad; we were sat at the bar waiting for a seat for over 30mins. When we went to check, they had forgotten about us Moreover, food was below average. Would not recommend!!!
We ordered the Fried Chicken Wonton and the Masaman Curry. Sorry, no pictures; it disappeared too quickly. So delicious. The Wontons were crispy, and the Curry was incredible. Can't recommend this enough!
Lotus of Siam on Flamingo! This place is so over rated! Seeing the food influencers making this place and the food so amazing, is very misleading. When you first walk in, it can be a bit confusing because they have two host seating podium. Is this place supposed to be upscale? We notice there were no cloth napkins. They use paper napkins. The food was not pleasing at all. Everything looked brown. The Thai fried rice with fried duck was absolutely horrible. The duck was over fried, extremely salty, and seemed to be old. Garlic Prawns were mushy. The food was awful as well as management. The group I was with, we were spoken to and treated like we could not pay the bill. Shame on management for treating us that way. We spoke to several locals and they mentioned they would NEVER recommended Lotus of Siam.
Service was okay.
Had the golden tofu, upside down pineapple cake, chicken pineapple fried rice.
Golden Tofu was a meh but the homemade sweet and sour sauce is great.
Upside down pineapple cake is definitely a Must Have. You think it would be too sweet, but it is not.
Chicken pineapple fried rice is one of the best pineapple fried rice I've had.
Although some of the items are too pricey for an example the Garlic prawns; I would still definitely recommend this place.
If I could leave zero stars I would . For this restraint to claim anything more than average is being generous . We flew in from Kansas City and this place was worse to me than fast food . Service was absolutely terrible . Out chicken came undercooked and when we told the waiter he counted how many we ate and brought two back recooked . He even questioned if we had two or one left . Chicken is not suppose to be pink to the bone and when we told him he said it has to be that way. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and then he still brought half of it out. My boyfriend’s noodles wet so overcooked , it was a giant clump . The food was so terrible I ate one small serving and didn’t even want to take it with me . I have had better food from a vendor truck . This place is hugely overpriced and whoever you have cooking should be fired . It was my birthday and this place was a waste of money . When we told the manager , she didn’t seem to care at all. If I wasn’t with company I would have walked out . This place doesn’t care about quality or service . Save your money and skip this place . They are rude and do not care at all about the people who come in and spend their money on this disgusting food . I would never recommend to anyone . Far from gourmet
