There are so many things that I like about Penn's Thai House. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable. That's the broad overview so I'll drill down a bit. Last night, I went to the movies with my daughter and the movie didn't end until 8:30. We drove straight over to the restaurant after, hoping the'd be willing to take a to-go order 15 minutes before closing. They asked us if we would prefer to dine in. I said we would but we didn't want to keep them. They said they'd seat guests right up until closing time. We were delighted. We have been turned away from other Thai restaurants (Archi's) half an hour before closing and they refused to even take a to-go order so the invitation to dine in so late in their day was much appreciated. I've now eaten there twice and each time the food has been fresh, well prepared and delicious. The person serving us has been friendly and helpful and the fact that their prices are very reasonable and they are located near where we go to the movies frequently makes this a solid win for us. Great spot, highly recommend!

Local Thai gem of a dive is fully deserved of its reputation for quality authentic Thai cuisine. The Pad Thai was delicious even without the usual crushed peanuts. Chicken satay was marinated full of flavor and perfectly grilled (if I were to nitpick, the accompanying peanut sauce could be less salty and more nutty.) The crispy garlic chicken is a refreshing non-spicy take on the General Tso’s found in other places. On top of it all, it’s a great value including the Thai iced teas. Definitely one of the best in the area.

It's highway robbery for how much they charge for entrees, but the portions aren't matching up to expectations. I ordered takeout which you have to call to figure out what they have because they don't have a website and online menus aren't up to date. I got the stuffed chicken wings, beef pepper steak, and fried rice. The stuffed chicken wings had imitation crab in them which isn't on the menu and is hazardous to me because I'm allergic. The fried rice was good no complaints there, but the beef pepper steak was highly underwhelming for the portion size. The entree was the dinner portion and was $15 dollars for barely a serving size for two. The entire meal wasn't worth $50 with a tip.

Completely confused by the excellent reviews for this restaurant.
Located in a run down strip mall, I didnt let that stop me as I have gone to hidden gems in non-descript strip malls and totally enjoyed my meal.
This place was a huge let down. Upon opening the door, I was welcomed by a funny smell, cracked wall, and a filthy aquarium. The upside was the friendly owner who showed us to our seat and gave us a menu.
Still being optimistic, I figured the negatives would be more than offset by the awesome food.
We ordered, Thai iced coffee, hot tea. moo krob pri khing and the green curry lunch special.
Thai iced coffee - bit weak and too sweet.
Moo Krob pri khing - nicely spicy and the green beans were fresh and crunchy. The pork belly. which was supposed to be crispy tasted like rewarmed pork with no crunch.
Green curry lunch special - was bland and the egg drop soup a mismatch. not special at all.

I give it a 1 star for the friendly and attentive gentleman who served us who was the only upside in this disappointing experience.

We got takeout and it was 44$ for the SMALLEST Portions for the price we paid is ridiculous. I live very close to this restaurant and I wanted to try it out but I’m very sad that the experience was just kinda awful. I wanted to like this place but when the food is like 15$ for a small hand sized Portion with 4 pieces of meat and the majority of it is literally just huge pieces of onion and carrot with a very watery sauce. Seriously I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews when the experience I had was just AWFUL. So many better restaurants. And also their fish tank was nasty. Weirdly expensive and mediocre/bad food.

I got order to go, and I got 2 beef fried rice. My man put the rice but forgot the beef. There was barely any beef. The rice portion is to heaven tho. Very average. They might have other good things.

Mood- Lil Celebration

You know those moments that you take for yourself? The ones where you go outside of your comfort zone? The ones where you don't listen to that voice in your head that tells you NOT too? Well I moved past all that and did something that was needed. I took that leap despite the fear. And because of my efforts it was time for a Lil Celebration. And y'all know me by now, I celebrate over food.

Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered to sit wherever I chose. Menus were given and drink order was taken.

Opted for the Cashew Nut Chicken, Pork Chow Mein, Pork Fried Rice, and of course a Thai Tea. Can I say why did I need a Celebration to come in here? 100%. This place was on point with the dishes I chose. Everything was very well prepared.

Interior has several booths and a long family style table in the middle. Music was playing in the background. Everything was very clean.

Would most def recommend- pricing for the portions and quality was reasonable. The customer service was beyond hospitable and courteous. I really should have came in here a long time ago. It is a true hidden gem.

Location is Sunset/ Gibson - ample parking

Portions were large, but food was only OK. Restaurant wasn’t very clean and didn’t smell great. Do NOT use the restroom. Usually love little hole in wall places like this, but won’t return. Takeout is probably a better choice here.

Excellent food. We lived in Henderson for 20 years and loved it for lunch. Moved 3 years ago and first time back. Same staff and same wonderful food.

My wife and I came here for a late lunch/early dinner, and the food was absolutely delicious! She had the crispy garlic chicken and I had pad kee mao with tofu, and we both thought our dishes tasted fresh and full of flavor. I cleaned my whole plate and left no crumb behind. There are plenty of choices on the menu, and the prices are definitely fair for the big portions and excellent quality of the food. The restaurant itself is not fancy, and looks like just a simple dining area, but don’t let the look deceive you! Our server was super polite and attentive, and we had a wonderful overall experience. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

We are headed to NorCal from New Mexico, we went to this restaurant on the same route last year and were determined to return this year. We got here at 8:15 pm and they were very welcoming. The food is probably the best Thai food I've ever had and I've had my fair share. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The best egg drop soup my husband and I have ever had. Definitely worth the 12 hour drive!

Was very impressed with the customer service from Yaslin. The food was great and a plenty. The spice and flavor were spot on.

Straightforward restaurants establishment. They do not have a liquor license so no Chang or Tiger beer with your meal. The server was nice and it did get busy. Good menu hower they didn't have any drunken noodles (on of my Thai go to dishes)

I had the pad thai with Shrimp and chicken Level 4. Nice amount of heat. Would have liked to have some crushed peanuts on them.

2 of us for lunch at 1 pm. The Crab Ragoon were good, but could have used more crab meat. Still tasty, though. Wife had Chicken Pad Thai, I had Yellow Curry with Pork. Very generous portions and both were delicious. Service was excellent. We'll definitely go back to try more of the menu.

A small friendly place away from the big shopping centers, but the food is amazing! And spicy!!!

We have been eating there for years! The food is very fresh and the restaurant is very clean! You can't beat the lunch specials. I love the beef salad and my wife likes the pad tie chicken.

Found this place out of the blue a few years ago and this is my go to for AMAZING Thai food! The restaurant is clean and very simple inside. Service is courteous and quick. I always recommend Penn's when people want any Thai food!

My husband and I went because a friend recommend it to us and we wanted to try Thai food again. Penn’s Thai House is delicious. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken and Beef Pepper Steak. Also their Thai tea/ coffee is so yummy and addicting. I love how everything is put in the middle to share. The waiter was so friendly. It’s small place but we felt at home. It had such a calm vibe, not noisey at all. Loved it! Will definitely be back. In fact my husband loved it so much he went back for lunch during the week. We 100% recommend. There's a fish tank that makes the whole place smell like the PetSmart fish section but 100 times worse.

I LOVE "WING OF ANGEL", also known as Stuffed chicken wings.
They had them, only 2 places that know of out here Dare to try and make these amazing Delicacies.
The meal was topped of with some amazing Coconut ice cream(I think it was just frozen coconut water with Sweet peanuts.
Of all the bad reviews we saw Before going here, we don't have a single complaint.

I love this place but I only have a good experience when the tall skinny server is there he’s the BEST. The other guy grabbed my arms the other day when I asked for more chilli sauce for my to go order. I didn’t appreciate that if it weren’t for me LOVING THE FOOD and understanding that he’s old and there’s a language barrier I would’ve punched him. but honestly this is as good as it gets the the authentic feel and taste of Thai food ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ last time I was there the portion size was great, and the food was delicious!!!! The BEST TOM KHA SOUP in Las Vegas HANDS DOWN. They use real lemongrass and real fresh ingredients. They don't make it spicy (unless you want it). If you are feeling under the weather this soup is the BEST with tofu and a side of rice! Thank you Chef at Penn's Thai!

Honestly some of the best Thai food I have ever had! The restaurant is a little dated but I mostly do take out these days anyways so that wouldn't deter me from the food! It is some of the best. We had the Pad See Ew, Crispy Garlic Chicken and Red Curry. All I would get again! The wish the curry was a little thicker and less soupy but that's it! Loved it

I’ve had some amazing pad Thai dishes across LV but this place has disappointed 2 times now! I accidentally made a takeout with them not realizing I had eaten here before and wasn’t satisfied with my pad Thai lunch in the past! When I pulled up instead of leaving them with a prepared meal and me saving my hard earned money I decided to give them another try! Thai tea is great! But it’s hard to mess that up! The Pad Thai however was mediocre! Sauce is very light almost watery and a good thai restaurant would ask you spice levels for your noodle dish! The restaurant also feels very weird to be in! I will not be returning!

We ordered takeout 4/13/2023. The service on the phone was great, he made sure everything was correct. After only 20 minutes our food was ready. The yellow curry tasted amazing. They're very generous with the portions I was struggling to finish mine. We loved the chow mein it had lots of veggies as well. The Thai tea is sweet and smooth. Last but not least the egg rolls and homemade sauce was the last piece to this amazing dinner. I was surprised such an amazing business was only 2 miles away from home. Next time we'll be dining in because the ambience looked great. We ate the food so fast there was no time for pictures. Thank you Thai House! We appreciate your business and food you offer to the community. Till next time :)

It was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. The orange chicken was gobbled up so fast, I couldn't get a pic of it. We highly recommend the orange chicken, Rangoons, and Panang. Everything else was good too. Order the buns early, seems like they sell out quick and we weren't able to try them, this time.

We picked this place because if the good reviews, but unfortunately it was a letdown. The place itself is kind of a hole, but that’s not the reason for 3 stars. The food was just too sweet in general, rice was low quality and lumpy.
If you want authentic Thai food - look elsewhere.

Freaking amazing food!!! I wanted orange chicken fast food and it was amazing. Best I’ve ever had actually haha.

Staff is friendly. I've ordered the chicken pad Thai and chicken satay appetizer which we're both good. I've also had the crab rangoon and it's a hit or miss, half of the time they came out cold. I've been there a few times now and I will be a repeat customer because overall it's good food.

We ordered lunch plates plus the House Appetizers combo. We politely pointed out the Appetizer Combo was missing the BBQ Pork stated in the menu, 10 minutes later, they brough a sauce cup full of sauce, and a few strings of pork floating in it (see photos) Unbelievable! I suppose 'customer satisfaction' means nothing to this place, and this experience is like a bad joke.

Food was excellent. Hidden gem for sure! Cant wait to go back. Red Curry with chicken, add pineapple. Tasty!
Satay chicken was awesome too, and the sauce 👏🙌.

We stopped by accident. The place is easy to miss, but don't!!. We had Tom Yum Shrimp spice level (10), Kraprow (7) and Spicy Chili Pepper (10). My taste buds haven't been this happy since I lived in the Pacific! The service was awesome too!

I've had spicy basil chicken at about 20 different restaurants in my life. The worse ever. So overcook there was no sauce in the bottom of the plate. How can they even send that out.

Cat fish is really good. Pad see ew is best in town, i get it with tofu and they make it crispy. Tom ka is really good as well. Lotus of siam is over rated compared to this place.

Great hole in the wall Thai restaurant. If you find yourself in Henderson hungry for Thai food you should try Penn's. You won't regret it.

The beef ball is cold inside and they returned within 1 minute. I assume they microwaved it. Food quality here is a concern.

Absolutely my favorite Thai restaurant. Everything I’ve had has been amazing. I love the spicy eggplant with chicken and the Tom Yum soup.

The food was absolutely fantastic, great taste and prompt service. The staff were exceptionally kind and very friendly! I am so pleased with my experience here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone travelling by! I was so happy we made the stop on our trip in Nevada! Thank you Penn’s Thai House!!
