Simple, cheerful dining room for Thai noodles & curries plus red-leaf/star anise iced tea.
Bangkok Spice is amazing! I've done takeout twice, and both times the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The food is very fresh, definitely high-quality ingredients. They have a large menu so a lot of options. Everything we've tried has been a hit. Highly recommend!
Just ok. Nice people but the flavors are bland and off putting. The pad Thai was watery & weirdly sour yet smelled fragrant. Thai fried rice was good. Massaman watery & flavorless.Tofu was over cooked & rubbery. Wanted to have a better review but needed to be truthful. If you like food with flavor & depth this isn’t it & it seemed dirty inside.
Delicious!!! I loooved the avocado curry, and all of the vegetarian appetizers we had were amazing. Well worth it! The Tom Kha soup was flavorful also, the owners were very kind and friendly, and the food came out fast :) The place was cute and well decorated too. We will be back here soon!
Overall decent food but I’ve had much better Thai food elsewhere. We took 2 friends to lunch who haven’t much experience with Thai and they generally loved the food and raved about the thai iced tea, but the food left much to be desired, for me and my husband. The portions were generous and the staff were generally friendly, even if a bit aloof. I may return to try other menu items to see if there’s a winning item.
6/10/2023: definitely not returning. Every item we ordered was just disappointing. 😞
We ordered an appetizer, one pineapple fried rice, Chicken Curry, Asian Snapper, plus a dessert.
The Asian Snapper is an absolute winner. The freshness and quality of the snapper were undeniable.
The Pineapple Fried Rice showcased the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine. It had a delightful combination of sweet and savory notes, with succulent pieces of pineapple adding a refreshing twist. The only dish I will not order again will be the Chicken Curry. It's sort of bland. But maybe it's just personal taste.
I recently ordered takeout from Bangkok Spice, spending $49 on Pad Thai and Tamarind Duck, expecting bold, authentic flavors. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The Pad Thai was completely bland—lacking any spice or the tangy, savory balance you’d expect from this classic dish. The Tamarind Duck, which I was excited to try, was just as disappointing. It tasted flat, with barely any hint of tamarind or seasoning, and the description of it being served with greens is completely inaccurate as it was served with peppers.
For $49, I was expecting something memorable, but this meal was tasteless and felt like no real effort went into the preparation. I ended up throwing out the meals as it was that bad. It was especially frustrating since I went out of my way to pick it up, thinking it would be worth it. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they make serious improvements.

Nice thai restaurant with good vegetarian options.
The vegetables were not freshly cooked although they added fresh chicken to the dish. The Thai tea was good
In my next life I hope I can cook like this person. Everything is delicious, especially the dumplings.
Best Thai food experience I've had in a while thank you guys, amazing service amazing tasty foods this place is a great experience
The best Thai food I've had in a while...everything about this place was great and amazing customer service...great experience...definitely coming back here
My favorite Thai restaurant, i am happy...
Great servers, first time ordering Thai food, they helped me order over the phone without rushing me. Great vibe, looking forward to coming back here more often!
Delicious food and friendly owners and staff!
Small old place, friendly staff.
What a secret gem! This place has been open for 18+ years at the exact same location. Highly recommend the Tamarind Duck for an entree and the coconut pudding for dessert!
Food is wonderful ! I did not sit and eat, but service was great as well :) I have never had Thai food, this was my first time, and it put an amazing taste in my mouth for Thai food in general
Order orange cicken, thai basil beef, and beef drunken noodles. Optional spring rolls, tom kha soup for starters and the fried icecream for dessert. You are welcome
Disgusting!!!
I don’t know what type of meat the “beef” was but I can assure you it was NOT beef!! It was hard and chewy and flavorless and we couldn’t even swallow it. The vegetables were soggy and flavorless in a soupy watered down broth. It tasted like overcooked microwaved frozen vegetables. The “fried rice” was a mushy blob of white stuff, you couldn’t tell what it was supposed to be. The owner took no responsibility and the whole meal went into the garbage can. We ate cereal for dinner.
I just ordered 3 dishes. Asked for mild and medium but everything came absurdly hot and uneatable. I love spice but this was obnoxiously hot to the point where everyone had to throw it out. Waste of money.
In a sea of pizza and sandwich shops Bangkok Spice is a refreshing authentic Thai place with a diverse menu.
Food is delicious, staff is attentive and it's always a pleasure to eat here.
Delicious food, generous portions, friendly & accommodating staff, fair prices. Highly recommend.
I'll keep this review short and sweet; I've been eating here for years and the quality of food and the quality of service seems to get better every single time I go.
Love this place, love the atmosphere, love the food!
(Side note, but if you ask for spicy food, prepare to have ACTUAL spicy food!!)
Very good food.
Very nice place to eat clean nice atmosphere
Very friendly staff great food reasonably
Priced you won't be disappointed
Love this Thai restaurant. It’s relatively casual, and not a huge place. The food has been consistently good which is hard to find! Love the pad Thai with tofu and spring rolls. We’re lucky to have this place.
Our go-to thai spot. Food and service is great every time.
Good Thai ice tea… easy pick up window
Good food. Large portions. Good service. Had a group of 12 and everyone liked it. Will go back
The cuisine prepared inside is nothing short from magical. The food always comes with dynamic flavor that feels comfortable and always makes me smile when I get to eat it. The people working inside are also always sweet and attentive. This restaurant is nothing short than a landmark for the area that it is in, providing a unique flavor to what the people around desperately need. -chef's kiss-
Wonderful Thai food! Love the duck dishes.
Favorite Thai! Absolutely delicious. Staff are so nice too.
Excellent food… authentic
My favorite Thai spot in the area. Food is great and so is the dining experience.
Food has always been delicious. Service is sometimes hit or miss.
Nice, cozy restaurant with great food!
From the time I walked into the place the staff was friendly. Every staff member said hello and wished me well. The restaurant itself is very inviting. I did order my food to go. The Thai dumplings were delicious. The Crystal Salad was fresh, flavorful, delicious and a large portion. The Thai iced tea was perfect. Not overly sweet where you cant taste the tea. A perfect balance of sweetness and black tea.
They were very good , the girl could use a little more help from the kid inside, But enjoyed our dinner recommend when you can't go to queens
A friend and I made the decision to come here while sitting in the Wild Fusion parking lot, and it was the best decision ever! Appetizers were the Thai Dumpling (best dipping sauce I have ever had!) and Crab Rangoon (crispy, flaky and creamy all at the same time). I ordered the Asian Snapper, which was surprisingly affordable and tasty as heck. My friend ordered the Panang Salmon, whose peanut, curry style sauce was absolutely delightful, and the string beans were cooked just right. We also ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice to share which was well seasoned and plentiful. Although we were stuffed, we found ourselves continuing to pick off of our plates, until I finally came up with the idea to put a period on the meal with dessert. I had the traditional Coconut Pudding which is delicious if you are into puddings and porridges, and my friend had the Fried Ice Cream. Only when we got the bill, is when we realized that the food was so good that we never even touched our drinks. It's safe to say, we'll be back!
Overall decent food but I’ve had much better Thai food elsewhere. We took 2 friends to lunch who haven’t much experience with Thai and they generally loved the food and raved about the thai iced tea, but the food left much to be desired, for me and my husband. Excellent food , excellent service and more than reasonable price 👍

Definitely overrated. Too much sugar in the food.
Every dish we got was underwhelming. I don’t usually post reviews, but I was very disappointed. The pad Thai did not taste like any I’ve had. The pad see ew was dry.
I drove past this place for years and didn't know how good it was. After a trip to Thailand, I got hooked on the food. Bangkok Spice became my go to restaurant to recapture my days in Thailand. They have great food and I highly recommend them.
The best Thai food you could possibly find in the surrounding area. The green and massaman curry were outstanding
Food is fresh tasty; never had a bad meal. And everyone is super-friendly and efficient. Especially Kwan (shout out....nicest guy on the planet ❤️). Highly recommend the trip!!
Everything was delicious, especially the roti canal appetizer! Very nice ambience and friendly service. Highly recommended -- thank you for an enjoyable evening!

Ok, it's not super nice inside, but it's fine. The food is excellent. And the staff are really attentive. Good place to go with friends and family. Maybe not to impress a first date. 😊
Considering not having too many Thai options in the area this was great. The place was busy, even on an early Saturday evening (5pm). We enjoyed the panang curry and drunken noodles. Charged extra for rice (small portion with curry, needed more). Spring rolls were good (3 cut in half). Good thai iced tea. Okay prices.
We went last nite and had a very enjoyable supper. Very reasonable prices, very courteous & attentive wait staff, and a nice version of Thai food. We stayed long after finishing our meal, talking and they let us enjoy our conversation.
I hope they can get their sign put back up near the road soon. It was stashed behind some shrubs lining the edge of the parking lot. They can stand to be more easily noticed by passing traffic.
The service and food were great.
Low key dining room with comfortable booths. Very friendly and pleasant staff with clean bathrooms and hot water. The food dishes are very good and they stay extremely busy with huge takeout orders. In fact, they have designed and incorporated a special section of the restaurant to handle call ahead pickup orders. For our meal, we had the steamed Thai Dumplings for an appetizer which were delicious. I had the Thai Basil with beef and my wife had the Broccoli with chicken entree which were both delicious and tasty. Our server was very attentive and our dishes were promptly served and our food was nice and hot!
Food was below average. I ordered a summer roll, and it was surved cut into pieces like sushi. And the jungle curry that I ordered was supposed to be the most spicy item in the menu, but it was barely spiced and very watered down.
This place used to be my go-to place.. but since the new owner took over it has gone downhill and the prices have gone up
The new ownership hasn’t lived up to the former. I frequented this place very often, for years, but won’t be going forward. The service was inattentive and aloof. The shrimp was mushy and fishy, in the soup and pad Thai. I gave the shrimp dishes a second chance, same. The lunch prices went up and portions got smaller. I really miss the old management.
Love the food. Authentic and delicious
I gladly drive 20 minutes to get take-out here. The food is simply delicious--curries, noodles, salads, all are yum. In addition to the great thai food, was really surprised by the chicken wings, which remained crispy and moist after the drive home.
The food is great and the staff are amazing, they are a family owned business and are so pleasant to talk to
Delicious food and great service in a casual and cozy dining room.
One of the absolute best Thai restaurants I’ve ever eaten at! Everything I’ve had on their menu is amazing. They even have a dedicated take out window during the pandemic which made picking up our order a breeze.
Been trying to call all evening but they either put you on hold or cut your call off. Do they not taken any calls or orders on the phone?
Me and the family went here after apple picking. The food was really tasty and the staff were very nice. I would come back here again when nearby.
Great food
Best Thai spot I've been to in a long time! Great service, great food! Would definitely come back! Thanks
I got the Masman curry with chicken and brown rice. The curry was packed with flavor and had so many carrots and potatoes, as well as lots of chicken! This is definitely the best Thai restaurant in the area. I'd recommend this dish, and restaurant, to anyone looking for good quality Thai cuisine.
Great service. Food is tasty and well made. It is a good goto place for Thai food when you are in the area. Highly recommend.
We’ve gotten takeout from here a bunch of times over the years. Always very tasty. I’d like to dine in one of these days.
My sister and are vegetarians and have tried the following items: Spring rolls and mango salad…. So far we have tried Pad Thai, Thai Basil, Thai fried rice, Basil fried rice and Cashew Nut…. We have loved the flavors, quantity is sufficient for two people and price is good too!
First time, but not the last! Started with a safe choice of Pad Thai Chicken. Delicious and we'll balanced with sprouts, scallions, and peanuts. Thai Iced Tea was also on point.
Great thai food and always fresh and fast with orders!!!
Food was ok
Spet 80 plus dollars today.. wasn't happy about thier food.. my gosh snapper was not even whole was cut into pieces.. crab fried rice was below par taste... shame
Great food
Good food.
Under the previous owners, this was one of our long-time favorites. The authentic Thai food was always fresh, original and delicious. The service was reliably attentive and engaging. Now, after three disappointing visits, I’m finished. Picked up takeout tonight and arrived home to find the shrimp in my ginger dish mealy and weird tasting. I couldn’t eat another piece. Likewise, the chicken in my wife’s Pad Thai was dry and old tasting. All in all, worse than frozen Thai food from the supermarket. The same and only waitress we ever see there just seems dazed and confused, unable to answer simple questions about the food and restaurant. What happened?!
Thai food - excellent quality, fresh and tasty. Good value & felt safe there.
Sweet and sour chicken was watered down. Basil beef was watered down. Pad se ew had no soy sauce. Pad thai lacked flavor all together.. take the extra ten minutes and travel to “let’s have thai” you’ll thank me later
Great little place in shrub oaks. Food is good, prices are good. A very good meal without spending a small fortune. Highly recommended
Amazing food. Definitely should be a bigger restaurant on a busy street. Worth the 1 hr drive to get too for me.
Nice cozy place, quality food. Thai ice tea was amazing. A bit too sweet but enjoyed all items ordered on our lunch here.
Great service, food, and price. Can't ask for more
Excellent authentic Thai food, and a wide selection (if you like fish, try the Spicy Red Snapper - wow!) This was a go-to place for great takeout over the last closed-down year (and they're now open)!
Mediocre Thai food and borderline expensive.
Great food !
Absolutely incredible food! I love this restaurant! The dishes are always delicious, the waitstaff is so nice and friendly, it feels cozy inside, bathrooms are nice, I an a frequent patron. Super recommend! I’ve gotten all my friends and family hooked on this place. If you’re thinking about eating here, stop thinking and go! So thankful to have such a great Thai restaurant nearby.
Wonderful food, great service, cozy place to eat. Great portion size. I've been here with friends a good 10-12 times and have come away happy and satiated. Enjoy!!
Excellent food
This is the best Thai restaurant! I recommend everything.
I've eaten authentic Thai food all over the world. This is an imitation of Thai food. The Pad thai was ok, avoid the rice at all costs.
Thehe best Thai food in the area and the closest to what I had when in Thailand.
Excellent duck, cooked perfectly and delicious
I don't even know where to start! We ordered enough food for a family of 6 and it only came to $117. The food was amazing, spiced perfectly, cooked to the right temperature, and the portions were perfect. The service was impeccable, our waiter was very respectful of our space, but also very helpful. We originally tipped $20, but my friend insisted we tip an extra $15.
Great service. Good tasting food
Excellent flavor and service
Always nice service, quiet, delicious food.
Great Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice!
Our order was delicious and done well. The take out service during this pandemic was very good and accurate, ready when we arrived. Will be returning for take out and when it opens again.
While heading back to Newport Jersey city from Stanfordville after a weekend escape, we chose this restaurant for our lunch stop baswd on rating of the place.
We found veg. Food delicious and goid service. Reasonably priced. Worth visiting for veg. as well dor vegan food. If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine, it ia right place enroute.
Small attentive staff. Food tastes like grandma is heading up the kitchen. Needs cocktails and a bigger wine list.
Very comfortable space, service and food was excellent. A new favorite spot!
Consistently great food! I come here often and never disappointed! Love the Roti Canal appetizer. Justin is a wonderful waiter.
Bangkok Spice is a hidden gem in the Westchester County area and an absolute must try if you're looking for authentic Thai food. The service is exceptional, the food is rich and flavorful, and the calm atmosphere adds to the whole experience. Highly recommend!
Great food, friendly staff, our favorite restaurant!
Great food
It was a great experience
Love the veggie dumpling♥️♥️♥️
Food is wonderful!
Great staff and food.
Totally amazing. Among the best food
Been coming here for years. So glad to have this gem in our town, something other than pizza. The owner is always very nice. The food is great! From the noodles to the curry you can't go wrong.
I have been coming here for years. The food is great and I am able to get meals made vegan. They are very accommodating and will make sure certain dishes don't have fish sauce added and can use coconut milk in place of dairy milk in the Thai iced tea. The Mango sticky rice is absolutely delicious.
My experience here was splendid. The coconut juice was fresh. The bathrooms were clean. The tom yum soup was amazingballs. All the food was fresh and well made! I highly reccomend this Thai restaurant to all those craving good Thai food.
I have only eaten there once but I had lunch special number one and it was delicious. It was just the right amount of food for lunch and a reasonable price
Absolutely delicious!
Good food and friendly staff
Tom Yum was delicious and ambience of the restaurant was cozy family oriented environment! 👍👍👍👍👍
The Panang was on the watery side. I was hoping for a thicker curry, which is what I'm used to.
Excellent food and customer service 👍
Great friendly service. Wonderful food and the waiter there is so friendly as well!
AMAZING. I had the salmon in the beginning. It was great! Afterwords, I had mango sticky rice. Overall great experience, nice staff and good food.
Good service and good food. Small dining room.
Great food.
Nice staff average food
Good food
Have only had take out from here. Food is consistently very good. Have tried different cities and pad thai noodles. Would definitely recommend.
