Wish they had mango sticky rice everytime

Diner Review №2

We were visiting from California where we’re spoiled with great Thai food all the time, and we thought this place was a hidden gem in Livingston

Diner Review №3

Best thai food in Montana. Staff are friendly and food is delicious. Thanks for having the most flavorful thai food around 😋

Diner Review №4

Super solid Thai food had some spicy noodles which were verry good. Girlfriend had a coconut and shrimp soup which was fantastic. The Thai tea was also excellent will definitely be back.

Diner Review №5

Diner Review №6

You just can't go wrong here! The food the service was all 5 star😊. Not much to look at but was comfortable and clean. Just think about the food and order a Thai iced tea.

Diner Review №7

Diner Review №8

This is some of the best Thai food we have had! Great portion sizes with lots of flavor! It exceeded our expectations and everyone was very friendly!

Diner Review №9

Food and service was amazing!

Diner Review №10

yummy:)

Diner Review №11

Love It My Job

Diner Review №12

Fantastic food!

I love thai food. I have had thousands of Thai meals in hundreds of places.

I can't guarantee that this place was the best, but it was really, really good.

It's a bring-your-own-drinks, slightly dark and dingy place, but the food is a must-have.

Diner Review №13

If I could on give a million stars I would. Fresh, amazing flavor, great customer service. Will be back every time we pass through!

Diner Review №14

Very nice waitress and good food. Had my favorite Thai dessert.

Diner Review №15

I ordered pad Thai. It wasn’t what I would say I’m typically used to. It was very sweet with no sour component, And the chicken was kind of dry. I would recommend Rice over Big Sky Thai.

Diner Review №16

Don't waste your time. No air conditioning and the owner would rather close early and turn away customers than provide service.

Diner Review №17

Don’t let the “abandoned cabin” vibe fool you as you walk in, definitely STAY & order the most authentic tasting Thai food you’ll find in this neck of the woods! To say I was surprised, is an understatement! I had the Tom Kha with chicken and it was simply OUTSTANDING! The Pad Thai was so good that I took the leftovers to go and continued to Yellowstone Park for hours and ate it when I got to our hotel! The family recipes have been thought to their chef and I’m so happy that we didn’t go elsewhere. Hopefully, they will work on their aesthetics and ambiance. I also ordered the Thai Tea but it tasted different than I am accustomed. All in all, this hidden gem is SO WORTH it!!!

Diner Review №18

The worst Thai food I’ve ever had!!!
Noodles just noodles with very few protein. Tasting not good. Don’t deserve this price at all!!!

Diner Review №19

Think this is my new favorite Thai restaurant in Montana. The pad se ew was awesome!! Got take out and it was fast and easy.

Diner Review №20

I felt bad for the poor lone chef in the kitchen, but boy did she make a great meal

Diner Review №21

Ok, I don't know who they have in the kitchen, but that girl needs to be running things. I took a peek at who was cooking my delicious food and saw this awesome Thai cook in that back.
Do yourself a favor, don't sleep on this awesome spot!

Diner Review №22

Foods ok, the woman at the register was a real "Karen".
Real snotty and had her nose in the air the whole time. Not polite or patient.

Diner Review №23

Diner Review №24

Put one star on Atmosphere because the C word was happening at the time and we couldn’t dine in. Not their fault

Diner Review №25

Fantastic food! We love to get it as take-out. They do a great job, fresh veggies, authentic and delicious food set to your heat preference.
Eat-in is a little less charming, but the food makes up for it.

Diner Review №26

Delicious food, amazing service. Overpriced for the portion sizes(take-out).

Diner Review №27

We just ate there 4 the 1st time egg roll was good but for 51.50 and it's in atogo box I won't be back what a joke

Diner Review №28

This review started off as a strong 4/5 star review until I popped open my mango sticky rice.
I’ve eaten at a lot of Thai places and this is the first one ever I’ve had mango sticky rice that it was not cooked together and, it honestly is not that great. Save the $8 and, get a thai tea. Donot get the mango sticky rice. Otherwise, food is decent. Not the worst. Not the best I’ve had. It’s pretty middle of the road. Will I come back ? Maybe. I won’t eat in the restaurant but, I’ll order take out again and steer clear of mango sticky rice. Pineapple fried rice and green curry were a solid 3.5/5 in my book. Not sure it was all worth $44 plus tip.

Diner Review №29

I love this place, definitely get your Thai fix here when you’re in Livingston! I always get take out before heading home out of town & they’ve never failed to deliver. Portions are great, always have a bonus meal left for the next day. Go now!

Diner Review №30

When we first walked in, we were a bit skeptical since the chef is not Thai, but we were pleasantly surprised when the food came. The green curry was flavourful and actually spicy when we asked for 4/5 spice. We also ordered the spicy noodles and it was great, full of veggies and tofu, just wish there was a little bit more noodles. We overheard the recipe was created by the chefs wife.

Diner Review №31

It was great! A little more expensive than I was expecting $21-23 per meal but three food was great!

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

We loved our meals. There were 5 of us! 3 of us had different dishes ! All of us loved our meals. I personally had the orange chicken I enjoyed every bit!

Diner Review №34

I love these people and their restaurant with all my heart. If you're not eating at Big Sky Thai tonight then you need to take a long hard look at the decisions in your life that brought you to this moment of failure.

Diner Review №35

Portions were more than enough and the customer service was excellent! Treated us like family!

Diner Review №36

The best Thai food in this state from what I have had. Excellent service large portions fresh vegetables with a simple yet diverse menu

Diner Review №37

Diner Review №38

the atmosphere was perfect, the service was beyond what I had expected the the food was absolutely delicious. a light apetizer followed by noodles and and a main course of pad cashew was beautifuly plated and served with such a delightful gusto, I am overjoyed with the level of service.
There was astounding care and attention to detail to our menu selections and warmth of the ambiance that I have yet to see riveled. This was a beautiful experience and I plan on visiting as often as I can.

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

The food was amazing! It's always hard for us to find vegetarian options but WOW not only vegetarian options but the food was absolutely delicious!

Diner Review №41

Food take-out.
Big amount at reasonable price, and delicious

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

what i loved to eat 5 years ago, my mother is a good chef

Diner Review №45

There weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant but they I think they get a lot of take outs as well. And they seemed to be short staffed. So the wait time is pretty long irrespective of how few people are actually in the restaurant.

BUT THE FOOD IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT! The flavors were amazing and seemed pretty authentic with good portion size. So, definitely try it out if you’re in the neighborhood!

Diner Review №46

I love the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. I usually order take out for lunch and have never been disappointed.

Diner Review №47

Everyone who works here, the Mexican restaurant, hotel, and casino are sweethearts can't beat the service I love this place

Diner Review №48

I love the evil jungle noodles and stop in everytime I pass through Livingston

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Very good food and service one of my favorite

Diner Review №53

Bru this John was empty when we got there, and its hella sketch with being inside the casino. Also you can’t dine in, was hoping to get some soup and warm food but no one was at front. Wasn’t worth the road at all.

Diner Review №54

Excellent Thai food ❤️

Diner Review №55

I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken and it's pretty good. Would recommend.

Diner Review №56

It has four stars only because they dinning room is closed. I had the Green Curry with chicken. The food was great! I will definitely stop and eat here again when I pass through.

Diner Review №57

The food here is good. We usually get take out so I can't speak to dining in the restaurant. I would choose Big Sky Thai over Rice anyday of the week.

Diner Review №58

Phad Thai tasted amazing Phad See Ew 2 tasted amazing.

Diner Review №59

Great food

Diner Review №60

Best Thai in Livingston!

Diner Review №61

Fresh and delicious.
Props to the chef.

Diner Review №62

The Rum yum soup is amazing!!!! First impressions are in my opinion are phenomenal, I was politely greeted by an older gentleman, so service is already won me over now the soup it's self is amazing, rice and soup contents and ingredients are fresh I have not yet even finished my soup and am writing this review, hope this goes to show how pleased I am with both services and above all taste!
Thank you Big Thai Sky 🙌

Diner Review №64

we had a trip to the parks and had a super GOOD meal in this Restaurant.
we had the Won ton Soup, Crispy chicken and some of the BEST pork fried rice I have eaten.
[didnt like the onions, but they were big slices and easily discarded]
we of course had left overs that I enjoyed the next day :D
the service was Great! and she was extra nice in letting us choose the seasoning level in our dishes a 1 to a 5 she said
and recommended a 2 on the rice. I really liked it, but next time I might go for a 1 :)
the crisply chicken was extraordinary as it really good and the sauce was tasty orange type [in their style] which was yummy
yes it had several vegetables [which my wife enjoyed]
we ate too much, just because it was sooo tasty.
but had a bit left over that I enjoyed at dinner the next night.
*sadly the place closes at 8 and we didnt get back until 840 or so.
it is in the casino there and we looked just in case, But it was all ready dark - so an extra good meal was denied us :(

We both hope to eat there again someday.

Diner Review №65

First time to this restaurant. Wasn't sure what door to go in. The building is weird. Waitress brought us water and menus but did not ask us if we wanted anything besides water. Took her 30 minutes plus in a dining room with 3 full tables to take our order. Our food was very sweet. Some ingredients were left out. Hardly any spice even though we asked for it. Didn't ask if we want desert or a Togo box. I had to wave her down just to get more water. They do a good business but I'm not entirely sure why.

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

Red Curry and Pad Thai were great! Grab a beer next door at the casino.

Diner Review №68

Really good. Great addition to Livingston.

Diner Review №69

Very tasty 😋

Diner Review №70

The food is good but customer service is poor. The front desk girl seems chatty but doe not act very professional which is what you need in this industry!!

Diner Review №71

Excellent food and friendly staff. Don't forget to order a Thai Tea.

Diner Review №75

Diner Review №76

Delicious food, polite very friendly staff!

Diner Review №77

Who do you go to to recommend a Michelin Star :) This place is amazing!!!!

Diner Review №78

We stopped in Livingston on our way out East and got the Pad Thai with chicken, medium low heat. It was amazing. The portion size was perfect. Just enough to make you feel full and satisfied, but not so much that you're uncomfortably stuffed. Not to mention, the customer service is incredible. As a matter of fact, we stopped for a second time on our way back West. A must stop. Who knew that this little town in Montanna would have some of the best Thai food we've had?!

Diner Review №79

They have the best pad thai. Very nice and the front deck lady is very sweet.

Diner Review №80

The food is amazing!! We stopped on our way to visit friends and had to come back on our return journey! I definitely would recommend!

Diner Review №81

Not pleased with the portion sizes at all.

This place was already 1.5-2X what I would normally pay for Thai food, but it had good reviews so I went for it. The order size looked decent when we got it, but my curry and rice containers were both half empty! I would have been disappointed with the portion size at half the price.

I would have given two stars, but I added one cuz the staff was lovely and the food was delicious. It was just really small portions for the price.

Diner Review №82

What we loved- EXCELLENT SERVICE - host was super busy but greeted us with a smile. My fiancee had the pad thai and loved it. I had the evil noodle and will say while it was tasty it seriously lacked NOODLE!
We are not take out people but that was all they offered so that was kind of lame. I would definitely eat here again though.

Diner Review №83

Friendly staff, had my order ready in the time frame given to me. Posted the shrimp Thai fried rice and Seafood green curry. Both were very delicious.

Diner Review №84

We ordered the Pad garlic, Pad Thai, and pot stickers. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. I've never had such great pot stickers! Generous portions for a great price!

Diner Review №85

Diner Review №86

Diner Review №87

Love, love, love their food here. And the family that runs this place is very sweet, which always makes for a nice dining experience. I eat here at least once a week, and never tire of the food. The Tom Khah is fabulous, the best I have ever had. Anywhere! Also love the Spicy Kee Mao noodles. I have eaten Thai food all over the world, and I am so grateful to have this little restaurant just down the road from me, because it holds it's own with the best!!

Diner Review №88

I've had a lot of thai food especially in NYC/NJ however the food here was really delicious! The pad thai was packed with flavor, chicken well cooked, and a generous portion. Similar with the basil fried rice seafood combo. it was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and mussels. great find

Diner Review №89

Outstanding ! Don’t mistake when you see no Asian chef love it .

Diner Review №90

Excellent! A delightful smell hits you right as you walk in, and you're instantly hungry!

Diner Review №91

Decent food but the woman who picked up the phone to take the order was very rude and passive aggressive; said that the order would be ready in 30 minutes and ended up taking double the time

Diner Review №92

Best Thai in the State! (except for Toi's Thai, Helena they are a close match) I love good Thai Food and as Thai restaurants started opening in Bozeman I was very disappointed in the the quality of all of them. I stopped eating Thai food altogether because it was so bad. Big Sky Thai has such great flavors and great variety of dishes. So happy they are here. I drive over from Belgrade when I get a craving for good Thai. Thank you guys for bringing great food that is the real deal!

Diner Review №93

I’ve eaten here twice in the last week & everything was delicious. The lunch portions are big & the dinner portions big enough for several meal and fun to share. Plus, the food is made fresh & is full of Thai flavor. I’ve had the pad se ew, orange chicken, swimming rama, tom yum, spring rolls, fried shrimp appetizer and the Thai ice tea. The shrimp were underwhelming, but otherwise I’d order everything I’ve had again. My favorite dinner in Livingston!

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

Pad Thai was great, a little small, but 3/5 was actually a tiny bit hot, it was maybe a 1/5 by Colorado standards, but still, spice, in Montana!

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Felt like Thai and luckily it was right next to our hotel for the night. Wasn't obvious at first how to get in, but we follows the signs and walked into a warm and comfortable dining environment that was decorated very nicely with what looked like a bronze plate ceiling and plush red booths.
The service was fantastic and we ordered quickly. It was easy for me (phad Thai) but my friend decided to try the evil jungle noodles and it was soooo delicious! Super creamy red curry, lots of great veggies, and delicious rice noodles. She got a little extra rice to soak up the delicious curry liquid left behind. My phad Thai was also great, tender pork and great noodles that were just sauces enough and not too dry.
Would definitely come back again for those evil noodles! ♥️

Diner Review №108

I love the menu and the food is great. They'll make it as spicy as you like. Great for lunch because it's quick. If you want dinner though it can be busy so plan on waiting for a bit.

Diner Review №109

Always very friendly and fast. The best Thia I have ever had and very reasonably priced!!!!!!

Diner Review №110

This place is a gem in Livingston and the state! I had an amazing first experience, between the super friendly staff and the amazing Tom Kha soup. I had a great conversation with the owner as well. Can not wait to return here. I only wished I lived closer. This is as close as you will get to authentic Thai food.

Diner Review №111

Diner Review №115

Diner Review №116

Interesting little place. Nothing special about the decor and carpeted floor definitely needs changing. But food was good, which matters most. Our family got 5 dishes and all were delicious. Staff were cordial and responsive as well. We were definitely satisfied with our lunch stop on the way to Yellowstone park.

Amazingly good Thai food.

Diner Review №132

Arrived in to Livingston just after 5:00, ready for my first meal after a long day of driving. The restaurant is easy to miss, inside a multiple business building. Service was abrupt, almost aggressive, shouting “for here or takeout?” across the dining room. A short, uncomfortable wait brought a big bag of food, one appetizer and one entree for $25. The fresh spring rolls were wrapped in plastic, and definitely not made fresh. The peanut dipping sauce was ok, and the first few bites were a nice, crunchy mix of ingredients, quickly followed by the overwhelming taste and smell of sulfites. The green curry was the consistency of a thin soup, with two flavor notes, hot and something like dirty socks (maybe the massive amount of shredded bamboo shoots) One taste and it went straight into the cooler with the container of mushy rice. It’s in the fridge now, but I don’t know what I’ll do with it. Definitely not worth pulling off the freeway. Travelers take heed, never believe local reviews for ethnic food in Montana. The beef is great, just get a burger.

We are traveling through and found a Thai restaurant for dinner. I was sceptical about finding good Thai food in Livingston, MT. What a surprise! The menu had a variety of choices and the food was great! This will be my place for dinner when passing through this area!

Diner Review №137

Diner Review №138

By far the most authentic and best Thai food in Montana! No exaggeration, wonderful beautiful meals

Diner Review №139

Very friendly server helped us find gluten free and vegan friendly choices. It's so refreshing to encounter professionals who understand their product and the safety concerns of their clients. We were welcomed cordially, and the kids were treated as customers making choices, which is important to me. Our food restrictions mean we miss out on desserts so often that I always buy it if it fits our diet. The mango sticky rice was delightful, even if it was almost the same price as our entrees. We will definitely return every time we pass through town!

Shssh, don't tell anybody but this restaurant is an amazing find. Don't let the location or the ambiance throw you off, it is well worth the "unique" entrance. Service is solid and the young women who take orders are great.

I have consumed good Thai across the US and BST is in the top echelon. Amazing fresh spring rolls and a great peanut sauce.

I love the green curry at a 4 level of heat. Swimming Rama is a favorite, with Pad Garlic and Pad Basil close seconds.

Have had 7-10 meals and have never been disappointed.

Diner Review №147

Diner Review №148

Great food great people

Diner Review №149

Noodle dishes are excellent here

Diner Review №150

Wonderful place that seems very well ran. Not a fast food joint, but good personable service. Our waitress Lessy(?) was on point and very kind, she did the gorgeous painting around the restaurant. The food is fairly authentic, the green curry was soupy (very light not overly creamy) and absolutely delicious! The flavor was spot on, with a spice level 3 it was very mild. I highly recommend stopping by, I should have tried the pad thai.

Diner Review №151

Amazing authentic

Diner Review №152

Diner Review №153

The appetizers were excellent.
The chicken pad Thai tasted like wet dog and the chicken, well, I can't adequately describe what that taste was...
The service was mediocre, at best, which was actually pleasantly surprising as my server was one of the seemingly most disgruntled and apathetic servers I've ever encountered.
Located in a fairly recently redesigned building that seems like halfway through remodel they decided they were finished.
It was fairly dark and dirty in the hallways and restaurant. Most of the light bulbs over every table were burned out.
I'm just happy I didn't get ill after eating there though I did end up throwing 90%+ of the food away.

Diner Review №173

I would like to first say that the waitress was sweet and did her best. It sounded like they were short staffed, so that could have contributed to some of their stress. The Thai iced tea was great as were the spring rolls and pot stickers. The reasoning for the 1 star review is that they first mixed up the spice levels for our two dishes (Pad Thai with tofu and Pad Basil with beef) then proceeded to argue about how we were mistaken. They have a policy, which I understand, where they don't take it off the menu if you have an issue with it. You just have to order something different. It was just upsetting and vastly unprofessional for the sous chef to argue with us when you could smell the spice that was coming off of the Pad Basil when it's only supposed to be 1 star for spice level. I would also recommend that the staff be educated in what type of Pad Thai they serve as there are a few different sauces used based on what region you are getting your recipe from. I would like to end with I know that the customer isn't always right. However, I have worked in the food industry for years and I'm not completely ignorant when it comes to flavors. Overall, we aren't going back. It isn't worth $14 a plate for an upset stomach and an argumentative chef.

Update* The cashew tofu that they made for a take home replacement was nice and made correctly.

Diner Review №188

Great food! Loved the Orange Chicken.

Diner Review №189

Food was pretty darn good. Had the mango chicken. The people were nice but the service was disorganized. I will definitely go again to try some more of the menu.

Diner Review №190

Great food. Decently priced. Friendly staff.

Diner Review №191

Diner Review №192

Fantastic...authentic...a small town treasure. Had almost every choice on the menu...not a miss yet. Mango Chicken is unique ... a 10. Popularity has slowed the service, but food is hand made and worth the wait.

Diner Review №193

Quirky atmosphere that ends up being comfortable despite appearing slightly shabby on first glance.

The food was generally good, not great. The pot stickers were excellent. The curry didn't sing. The fried rice had an oddly objectable flavor.

The spiciness was a notch below what everyone at the table expected. We suggest ordering one level higher than normal.

The service was good if slightly scattered due to rotating coverage.

Diner Review №194

Diner Review №195
