High recommend you visit this Thia Resturant. It isn't a big place, it holds up to about 30 people. It's small but big in flavor and portion size. Everything our table had was fresh, fresh, fresh. Vibrant Thia flavor. Crab fried rice had crab meat you could see. The chunks of crab were so tasty that you could taste the salt water it came out of. The noodle dishes with seafood so delicious. Deserts, yum. Try the fried ice cream. Warm coconut custard was very good. I can keep going on, but instead, get yourself over to this place so that you can experience the magic for yourself.
Hidden Gem of the neighborhood. Great food, nice vibe, fair prices and great staff. Our server Anne was amazing, as a native of Thailand, she even gave me tips on places to go when I visit her home country.
Great Thai restaurant with very reasonable prices, and huge, tasty portions. I had the chicken pad Thai (5/5) and the Thai iced tea (5/5 and HUGE!). The pad Thai was well flavored and the chicken was soft and tender. The Thai iced tea was one of the better ones I've had in the city and was a perfect balance of sweetness and tea flavor. Service was also nice!
A Thai place that my friends and I visited in Queens. We ordered Thai Fried Rice, Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao (all of them were $15 w/ chicken). This place tasted really authentic as there was so much flavor in all the dishes. Furthermore, they adjusted the spice level very well according to our requests. The service was a bit slow in the beginning, but got better near the end. The only downside is the mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of 5+. Other than that, $15 for an entree is value. Overall, I would rate this place a 9/10 - amazing food for amazing prices.
LOVE coming here for lunch special whenever I have work in this neighborhood.
Lunch special is an awesome deal. You get to have an appetizer and a main dish, which is always filling for me and my friend. And the most important thing is that the food here is so good! Every dish I tried so far amazed me. I keep coming back to try different items on that menu. The restaurant vibe is very chill as well. Definitely recommend to stop by if you’re around here.
It was a pleasant experience I enjoyed the green curry which was excellent and one of my favorites and the desert was very good Friendly welcome and diligent in attending me.
In the future will bring my family I think they will enjoy.
Excellent place to eat Thai food! We tried the mango salad, pineapple fried rice, cashew nut, chicken satay, and tom yum soup. Absolutely everything was great! Even the atmosphere of the place is relaxing, and the service is friendly without being extra. All in all a great place.
Nice place , The food is so amazing for me.Next time I’II be back.👍👍👍
very good authenti food fresh and awesome everytime the lady Ann is always very friendly and kind always pleasant and greet you was with a warm smile

The food was excellent
Amazing food, excellent service.
cute spot with great food! i met up with some friends from out of town here for lunch. the service was excellent and the environment is so nice and friendly. the lunch special was great and the total ended up being around $44 for all 3 of us with is great. i’d definitely return!
I’ve been a loyal customer for close to 10 years now.
However it’s not affordable to order from here anymore.
Lunch special total out to $17 for food + $7 drink = $24 for one person
Dinner is $32+ for one person
They won’t change their $1 fee for half filled-0.5 oz container of dipping sauce / please fill it all the way 😕
Ein sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Restaurant. Wir haben ein Pad Thai bestellt und waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Essen! Sehr lecker.
I tried their duck dish, something I rarely order when I go out for dinner, but this was so delicious. Melts in your mouth and packed with flavor! My partner got the steak and the dish was wiped clean. Definitely recommend for a lowkey and quieter date. The environment was great and tucked away from the main ave.
I recently dined here with a friend. I had the Pad Thai fried rice which was okay but there wasn't much flavor. My friend had noodles with tofu which was good. The waitress never greeted us or asked if everything was okay after we received our meals.I paid in cash and the girl was more interested i n how much of a tip I left. I gave 20% but would have given more if there was better service. Also it was hardly anyone there. Just another customer. I hope customer service improves. I have eaten here many times and food is usually quite tasty.
I mean… the food is good but $15 for a curry or pad thai? Those are Manhattan prices! Not worth it. I used to order food from here all the time but now I just make new Thai dishes at home because it’s so much cheaper.
Excellent food and good service
I've been to Kitchen 79 several times, and it's consistently good. Their lunch specials are a great deal, with a tasty appetizer and entree at a fair price. My favorites are the Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice, both with really nice flavors. The interior is modern and pleasant, making it a good spot for a meal. Overall, it's a reliable place for a satisfying lunch or dinner.

The food just isn’t special at all. Maybe in a different part of town it would be an alright restaurant, but based on the quality of the other nearby Thai restaurants it’s extremely disappointing. The sticky rice came still wrapped in plastic and the salad was just lettuce and some sorta creamy dressing w no flavor.
Tune was so kind and friendly. Highly recommend the Crab Rangoon!
We had Thai fried rice and Pad Tai. Our favourite one was the fried rice, but they both had an amazing flavour. The staff was very friendly and the place feels like a piece of peace

We ordered takeout to take to the movies with us, but we ended up having an hour to eat before the movie so we asked if we could eat at the restaurant; they said no even though the restaurant only had two parties and many open seats. We ended up leaving and by the time we got to eat, they didn’t leave us any utensils even though we requested on Uber eats and it shows on the receipt. Kinda funny they won’t let us eat in and didn’t give us utensils…
Always well-done Thai food 😋 with lunch specials daily.
A Thai place that my friends and I visited in Queens. We ordered Thai Fried Rice, Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao (all of them were $15 w/ chicken). Very attentive and helpful. Their food was really good. Their green Thai tea was exceptional! Really loved my time here. I definitely would recommend.
My family and I went there today for lunch, we sat down, and the server was so rude! It's not the first time my husband, baby and I went and we never had a problem. But today we had to leave. The server was so mean, telling us that it wasn't ok to have the stroller by the side of our table (our baby was sleeping inside the stroller). I asked him if we can have another table so we don't bother anybody. He reacted with a nasty expression and said, "No, you are there already." The place wasn't even busy and this server was giving us such a negative attitude about our stroller taking up too much space!
This server was so mean and was so offensive, my husband and I decided to just leave.
Favorite Thai restaurant in Queens. Hidden gem with amazing authentic Thai food. The staff is friendly and always on point.
Great food at reasonable price. Nice seating area too.
Delicious food
My favorite thai spot hands down. Excellent for vegetarian or vegans woth options on the menu for both.
The employees are friendly and the food is overall very consistent.
If you like thai food, this is a must try
I have been a customer since I was very young so it’s really sad to write this review. I gave so much of my money to this business and it’s just sad. I remember receiving many plates with mold on the food mold on the vegetables, feces on shrimp, But now it’s gotten to a point where I have to say something. it’s not even affordable at all, I honestly don’t even know who keeps coming here. The appetizers are delicious but i am sure you can buy them in supermarket and make it yourself for much cheaper. The food and beverage is overpriced like this was Manhattan and it’s absurd. The family doesn’t even recognize me that I have been the same person walking in and out of that restaurant for years they still overcharge me on a simple sauce $1 for a REALLY tiny container. Idk what happened to you guys but I hope you get better and start with improving prices.
I love this place , the food, the people. Everything is good 😊
Wow este restaurante es súper recomendado La comida el personal todos son increíbles
The food is phenomenal!
Excellent food. Many unusual dishes. Wide variety including many vegetarian/vegan dishes.
Highly recommend it!
Updates: Dec 24, 2023 .. Christmas Eve dinner. They were super nice and friendly to accommodate our group of 12 people. And yes, the service was very friendly and attentive.
All the foods came out tasty and really well prepared. Everyone in our party left the restaurant happy. All the dishes were really delicious. We don't think we could find any faults in anything during our time there.
So thank you so much again, Kitchen 79.
We'll be back soon.

Friendly service. Attentive hospitality.
Clean and comfortable atmosphere.
Tasty and fresh ingredients.
Lovely plated. Thank you for the yummilicious meals. =)
Best Thai food ever!!
THIRD REVIEW ;Came here again. Had another awesome meal !
Great service , and a lovely environment !
SECOND REVIEW
Third time coming here . We love it here .
It is a bit of a walk from our apartment but it is definitely worth the walk . The food here is scrumptious and plentiful ! End up taking quite a bit home. This restaurant is very lovely , well decorated and comfortable
The staff here is perfect ! This evening we were served by Toon and Yomose . They are friendly ,efficient and thoughtful . What a team !! They made our visit here wonderful !
FIRST REVIEW
We have been here two times now and it definitely won't be our last . It is just off of Roosevelt Ave. and is a hidden gem. So glad we found it. The food is plentiful and delicious ! We have had the Pad Thai, Papaya Salad,Chive Pancake , Chicken Satay and more.. This time I had the Thai Iced Tea, It was huge and delightful ! The environment is absolutely lovely and spacious . Our servers Audi and Bow are great They are friendly, efficient , thoughtful and very helpful ! Can't wait to come back here again.
Very disappointed, first time ordering here, and while I get that veggies can have some critters in them to no fault of the restaurant when they receive it
.... The restaurant IS responsible for rinsing and making sure this isn't served to patrons or even children...
Received my wonton soup topped with Bokchoy that probably was dropped in with the broth and packaged, but as a result all the bugs that were in the unwashed bokchoy floated to the top of my soup, and to my horror when I opened this at home, all of the dead critters were floating right at the top... NOT ACCEPTABLE
It was a fun outing first time here, but it was great. It's a kind of classy atmosphere.
Amazing food and kind staff.
Really tasty Thai food, would definitely recommend the pork chops. Also the Thai ice tea was huge, well worth the price!
Excellent established please go to this place the food is delicious
There normal stuff is good but never order the calamari from them. Worst calamari I ever had. Hard rubber, couldn’t even chew. Had to throw them away.
Kitchen 79 has some of the best Thai food I’ve had in New York by far. Their selection and interpretation are both unique and authentic, and have made me a repeat customer for years. It is always a pleasant take-out and dine-in experience that meets expectations, even when introducing it to friends.
Their Thai Iced Green tea is also an impressive game changer, I sometimes stop by just to pick some up!
I usually go to another Thai restaurant near my home. But I came across this restaurant when I tried to find a better one on Google Map. I am kinda curious how this restaurant can have this many good reviews. Hmm. If I dined here alone, it could be find. I brought my friend to treat him as his last dinner in NY. I feel little sorry to him now. The restaurant had some weird smell. As soon as I smelled it, I felt like "should I find another restaurant..?". And we ordered Spring rolls, Crab meat fried rice, and Pad Thai. The spring rolls.. tasted like they're fried in an old oil, whatever. Smell and taste were pretty kinda ....weird. sorry I can't express well. And Crab meat and Pad Thai were just normal. I don't know why they use a big size of pork in it for the Pad Thai... Overall.... my dining experience here is not that good compared to this high rate and nice reviews. And I don't think the servers cared about our table much. Overrated.
My wife and I have visited this place for a couple of years, the food is fresh and delicious, you will not be disappointed.
This restaurant is well decorated and has cute photo-ops. That may be the only plus because food takes forever to arrive; we once waited 45 minutes for our dinner. The food is also very salty, every single dish. This has to be one of the worse Thai restaurants I have been to and I love Thai food and eat it often.
Great Thai foods
One of the best Thai places in Queens (or NYC). The food was handled with care and made with fresh ingredients. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere is both inviting and beautiful. I had Salmon Three Sauce and my friend ate the Bangkok Pork Chop. Both were delicious. I would come back to try other dishes.
The fried soft shelled crab with white rice and curry was amazing. I live 10+ miles away. But I'll definitely be back
LOVE coming here for lunch special whenever I have work in this neighborhood.
I tried the Salmon Three Flavors and it was really good, the service was amazing; very cordially and friendly. I definitely recommend this spot to everyone.
Very delicious and kind!! There are lunch menus, too.
Ordered the Khoa pad ka prow and had it delivered. It smelled a bit off, I assumed it may have smelled weird because the basil was bad and bamboo shoots also may have gone bad. Even after leaving it in the fridge it genuinely smelled like the dish had been tampered with, there was also a lot of liquid at the bottom of the dish which I have never seen before for a fried rice dish. I ordered an appetizer which was great but days after the experience I am still a little bothered by what was going on with my main order.
The atmosphere here was just too good. Eating in the dark with dim little lights is amazing. The food here was amazing as well, only thing is the employees would stare at me and you can feel them while you chew your food and it feels weird. It’s a little bit pricy just a little tho.
BEST THAI GEM in Queens Ever. Excellent food, Great service.
I ordered chicken over rice . It was so good . Chicken was tender .
Chicken pad see ew is the killer of mine. It is so delicious. Not to mention about the super nice service . The price is reasonable and potion is so perfect .
They used to have a great chef/cook but last night was terrible. I ordered Beef Pad Thai, the vegetables were hacked and big bits of ginger were all mixed in with the vegetables. None of the knife cuts were even so the food wasn't prepared as good as it used to be along with the color of the meat it was grey and the sauce was swimming on my plate. I order for delivery and on top of the food not being that tasty the cost was unbelievably higher than the last time I ordered. This will probably be the last time I order from kitchen 79. Maxim Chinese food a few blocks away same quality for half the price. This kitchen 79 is no longer what it used to be. Don't waste your time or money you will be overly priced and get mediocre food for top dollar.
The food was phenomenal. The place literally has a Michelin Star and everything we ordered- from the mimosa and Thai iced tea to the fried tofu and the pad Thai- and even the creme brulee- it was all exceptionally good. Service was excellent and food came out very quickly. Prices are good to boot. I highly and enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.
Good food and fast delivery
Very goog
Good food . Nice service .
Very clean and nice place. I had the chicken wings and it was seasoned beautifully. I will come again for it. The service was very good as we got our food quick and my waiter was very friendly. Would recommend coming here with family and friends as they always have plenty of space.
We came here many many years ago and it was okay.
Came again last night, May 2023, and the food hit all the right ways for us. It has improved a lot since we last went about 2015 or so. Last night, the food was bussin', no cap. We had a delicious meal. There was barely any customers because we were early but yet the service was not too attentive and a bit slow nonetheless we were happy. The service is really nice.. I would go back again without waiting for many years next time around.
Street Parking:
Can be difficult depending on time of day and how far you want to be. We ended up about 8 blocks away and it was free parking.
Ordered:
Pad Woon Sen (stir fried glass noodles)
Guay Tiew Khua Gai (stir fried flat noodles)
Pineapple fried rice
Kana moo krob (chinese broccoli and crispy pork)
I can’t believe I’ve lived in Jackson heights for 5 years and never tried this place yet! It’s incredible! New favorite local Thai spot. We got the soft shell crab in garlic sauce which I could stock pile and use on everything. The crab rangoons were soft and perfectly crispy with a creamy spicy flavorful inside - best ever. The khao phad ka prow rice was so freaking delicious and the massaman curry could’ve been spicier but really delicious. Can’t wait to try everything else soon
Consistent & delicious . Always a treat to order from kitchen 79 .😋
Great Thai food in a nice environment
A great Thai spot in Jackson heights
Worth the visit
My girlfriend and I went for dinner, she loved the curry puffs. We also had the papaya salad, it was mediocre. The Phad Thai according to my girlfriend was perfect, it wasn’t too sweet unlike many other places. I can’t remember what I had but I enjoyed it as well. Overall good experience.
The freshest and most uniquely made calamari that I have ever had. Any time I am near kitchen 79, I am stopping in for some amazing food!
Absolutely loved it ❤️ the biggest thai ice tea you can imagine 😋
Food is okay, overall nothing special. I like the crab fried rice with the spicy seafood sauce. The glass noodle is mediocre, too little seafood for that much noodle. I don't really like their curry puff. Tom yum is okay. Menu has a lot of options and price is pretty cheap.
Duck rolls were insane
One of the best thai food restaurants not just in queens but imo also NYC. Parking is hard to find so avoid driving.
Incredible Thai food. One of the best spots in the city.
Place is cool
Food was ok
Service was ok
I love all the dishes. The curry puff pastry is ✨✨✨
Great Thai food, my daughter loves the calamari there
Great food and service. Loved the pad thai and curry 😊
Good attention and service. The food is delicious.
Great food and staff, always a pleasure going here
They take a break around 4-5pm so avoid showing up at that time. Either go early or later.
Been coming here for over 5 years and it's still one of my favorite Thai places.
You can change the spice level on most dishes. I always go with mild.
Thai iced tea 10/10
Pad kee mau 8/10
Khao soi 8/10
PECK GAI MAK KHAMIN TORD 8/10
I love this please! Everything is delicious and the staff is always nice.
Place is nice and clean, the employees are very dedicated. The food was incredible, delicious, fresh, well coocked and the presentation was very beautiful as well as their prices are awesome. I had a great time and I definitely recommend this place!
This was on the second stop of our food tour so we weren’t as hungry, but the food was still delicious and addicting, which is saying a lot. We ordered the kana moo krob (pork belly over greens) and the pad see ew with shrimp. Both were fantastic dishes. I’ll come back to try the calamari and basil fried rice.
I’ve been here twice and loved the food and service every time. Would’ve gave 5 stars but there has been a really weird smell both times that we came and the music choice is also bad.
Ordered from here and this food was beyond gross. I do not know what I was thinking. Horrible food, yes the food arrived earlier then expected but come one man. AVOID at all cost.
Outstanding food, great service, enjoyed my time there. Would definitely go back.
If you’re looking for authentic and delicious Thai with friendly service you’ve come to the right spot. This place is so yummy! We order more often than we should and the takeout is just as good as eating inside the restaurant. Highly highly recommend! Top 5 restaurants in Jackson heights for Thai food for sure!
Love the vibe and great delicious food
Ive been looking for a good Thai place in the area and I decided to do delivery from this location. I was SOO excited to find Crab Rangoon with sweet and sour sauce but this was the spiciest I’ve ever tasted in my life. I couldn’t eat all of it which made me really sad. The chicken Pad Thai was good. Even distribution of chicken and eggs. Very well flavored. I just had to pause dinner because the Crab Rangoon was so spicy I couldn’t taste anything for a while.
My go to local Thai spot
delicious food and wonderful service
There's a lot of good Thai restaurants in this area, but this one ranks near the top for a menu that includes dishes that you don't find as often outside Thailand, and for a more sleek, modern atmosphere that feels totally Silom. Great service too, and a perfect (and large) Thai iced tea.
I don't usually order Thai food but when I do I prefer from here. I usually get the pad Thai and the Thai ice tea. Great food!
Nice cozy place with good food and excellent service. They have a variety of dishes. Try the mango salad with shrimp , Salmon Chu chee , roast pork, pad Thai and Thai fried rice. Service is quick and dishes are served as snd when ready. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Jackson Heights area. I came here with friends and we had such a good time. The food is sooo delicious! We enjoyed it a lot. Place is well decorated, clean and organized. The staffs are very friendly and polite. I believe it got a Michelin star in 2018.
Food was delicious, great service, clean. I will definitely return very soon! FYI the steamed chicken dumplings are so good!!!
Best thai food I've ever had! Everything is just delicious. They have the best calamari with dipping sauce and the main dishes are tasty
